ABOUT THIS EPISODE
How do you build a cybersecurity business in a world where attackers are using AI faster than defenders? In this episode of Microsoft Mentors, Oli sits down with Matt Lovell, Founder of CloudGuard, to unpack the thinking behind building an automation-first cyber security platform designed to protect organisations that face enterprise-level threats without enterprise-level resources. Drawing on 35 years in technology, Matt shares how CloudGuard emerged from real-world delivery pressure; overwhelmed security teams, manual SOC processes, rising burnout, and a threat landscape accelerating faster than humans can reasonably respond. The answer wasn’t more people. It was automation, focus, and intelligent use of AI. This conversation explores the future of cyber defence, from phishing and impersonation attacks to generative AI, deepfakes, and why trust is becoming the most fragile asset in digital business. 👉 If you enjoy this episode, don’t forget to like, follow, and subscribe on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube. 💡 What You’ll Learn in This Episode 1.
