ABOUT THIS EPISODE
We have some spots on the ridgeline that give different views of the valley below. We have copies of two sketches done by Thomas Cole during a visit to what was then called the “Great Wilderness” in the early 1800s. He would paint large panoramas and charge people to view them in the city. Now these overlooks can help visitors get a fresh view of their life.

Lori has been spreading much of the big load of woodchips over landscaping fabric and defining the edges of the paths in the gardens at the Center. Her efforts will help keep the weeds down next summer, allowing visitors to focus on the beauty of the flowers. It is good to define the paths we trave…
Many people consider the first couple of weeks in October to be the best time of the year. The foliage is at its peak, and the weather is still relatively warm. My intention is to find the good in each month as well as each day. A positive attitude can help us smooth out the not so positive times o…
