00:00:00.959 --> 00:00:11.519
If you've ever worked with someone who creates chaos, plays the victim, and blames everyone else, then this podcast is for you.
00:00:12.080 --> 00:00:15.839
So here's your host, Adam Holbrook.
00:00:20.160 --> 00:00:23.280
Welcome to the Managing Difficult People Podcast.
00:00:23.440 --> 00:00:26.160
I am your host, Adam Holbrook.
00:00:26.719 --> 00:00:33.840
The reason I created the Managing Difficult People podcast, I was noticing that there's so much division in this world.
00:00:34.079 --> 00:00:39.359
Leaders not leading well, not leading themselves well, not leading other people well.
00:00:39.520 --> 00:00:59.119
And I said maybe I can come up with a place, a safe place where listeners can hear my story, my failures, my successes, my guests' stories, their failures, and maybe just have awareness of how they can help their own lives and find a pathway forward.
00:00:59.439 --> 00:01:07.280
I work with schools and organizations on leadership development, personal development, and changing culture.
00:01:07.519 --> 00:01:14.480
Because when we stop talking about changing culture and actually do something about it, that's where the magic begins.
00:01:14.959 --> 00:01:19.680
Teams show up excited, happy to grow with the organization.
00:01:19.840 --> 00:01:23.359
They feel connected, they feel like you care about them.
00:01:23.519 --> 00:01:26.480
And yes, the bottom line increases too.
00:01:26.719 --> 00:01:32.719
And I do this a variety of different ways, including dispersonality assessments.
00:01:32.959 --> 00:01:42.159
I do executive coaching, I do workshops, leadership games, and so many other connection exercises.
00:01:42.719 --> 00:01:48.640
Today's episode is titled Mindset Matters.
00:01:49.359 --> 00:01:57.599
And I'm writing about mindset in my new book, which will be out next month, which is called You're Not For Everyone.
00:01:57.760 --> 00:02:01.680
And I didn't originally plan on speaking about mindset today.
00:02:01.840 --> 00:02:07.680
I didn't originally plan on writing about mindset in my book.
00:02:07.920 --> 00:02:12.960
Not because I don't believe in it, but because I'm not an expert.
00:02:13.199 --> 00:02:15.039
I'm still on that climb today.
00:02:15.199 --> 00:02:17.840
I'm not at the mountaintop.
00:02:18.080 --> 00:02:19.599
I still struggle with it.
00:02:19.759 --> 00:02:29.120
But one thing I do know is that I don't spiral nearly as much as I used to because of the techniques that I'm consistently using.
00:02:29.199 --> 00:02:31.360
But it's always been the same routine for me.
00:02:31.680 --> 00:02:34.080
Work hard, you feel excited in the beginning.
00:02:34.240 --> 00:02:40.960
Anytime you start something new, new exercise program, new business, and you work hard.
00:02:41.360 --> 00:02:56.319
And sometimes years go by, and eventually it just gets lonely, it's gets distracting, and you think about giving up, and then you start spiraling, you start comparing yourself to other people.
00:02:56.719 --> 00:02:59.759
This has happened to me time and time again.
00:03:00.319 --> 00:03:05.520
And now I recognize that I'm on my own journey, I'm not competing with anyone else.
00:03:05.680 --> 00:03:18.319
And some of the techniques that I use is I hired a mindfulness coach a few years ago, and he said to me, I want you to sit alone with yourself and not work.
00:03:18.400 --> 00:03:22.159
Because I'm always grinding, I'm always trying to build, I'm always trying to do things.
00:03:22.240 --> 00:03:24.000
And he said to me, I want you to sit alone.
00:03:24.159 --> 00:03:28.159
I said, Okay, 15 minutes a day, he said to me, Okay, I'll do 15 minutes a day.
00:03:28.319 --> 00:03:39.840
And I just sat and he said, if any thoughts come in, you can honor those thoughts, but we're gonna push them away because we're just sitting at peace with God in peace, just kind of just being in the moment.
00:03:40.000 --> 00:03:46.879
And he said to me, if we can clear our minds and just feel at peace where we are at, then things are gonna come to you.
00:03:46.960 --> 00:03:49.840
Because when you try forcing things, things don't try to happen.
00:03:49.919 --> 00:03:57.439
And I have to tell you, this worked great, but I also have to tell you, I'm the least patient person that you've ever met in your entire life.
00:03:57.599 --> 00:03:58.800
So this took a lot of work.
00:03:58.879 --> 00:04:00.800
So I started doing 15 minutes a day.
00:04:00.960 --> 00:04:02.639
He suggested I go up to an hour.
00:04:02.719 --> 00:04:05.919
I tried an hour, I felt very overwhelming.
00:04:06.080 --> 00:04:14.879
I started getting a little bit annoyed that I was wasting this amount of time in this mindfulness exercise for an hour, but I stayed with it.
00:04:14.960 --> 00:04:18.160
And I try to give myself at least 15 minutes a day right now.
00:04:18.240 --> 00:04:24.959
I know it's not nearly as much as he would recommend to me, but it's a good place for me.
00:04:25.120 --> 00:04:35.279
And this patience part is part of the journey, and sometimes being patient is really about our mindset and where we are and what we believe in.
00:04:35.439 --> 00:04:43.839
Because here's the thing is if we give up, I know for sure you won't reach your goal if you give up.
00:04:44.560 --> 00:04:52.639
But by staying with it, even a little bit every single day, you give yourself a fighting chance to reach that goal.
00:04:52.720 --> 00:04:56.079
Because one day is gonna come and that goal will be reached.
00:04:56.160 --> 00:04:58.399
And if you quit, it's not gonna come.
00:04:58.480 --> 00:05:02.800
And then you're gonna look back on this day and say, I would have, should have, could have.
00:05:03.120 --> 00:05:09.199
But we're not gonna be looking over our shoulder at what could have been or what should have been, instead of focusing on what's in front of us right now.
00:05:09.360 --> 00:05:14.000
So this mindfulness coach said to me, I want you to just sit and be.
00:05:14.399 --> 00:05:18.639
Instead of the constant grind, this constant working at it.
00:05:18.800 --> 00:05:21.279
And this was very, very difficult for me.
00:05:21.600 --> 00:05:22.959
Very difficult for me.
00:05:23.199 --> 00:05:25.839
And I battled with a positive mindset.
00:05:26.000 --> 00:05:27.439
I start comparing.
00:05:28.240 --> 00:05:31.279
And then I said, I'm on this, my own journey on this.
00:05:31.439 --> 00:05:35.920
Some people may accomplish things faster than you, and that's okay.
00:05:36.160 --> 00:05:39.199
Their direction is not my direction, and I don't want their life.
00:05:39.360 --> 00:05:40.160
I want my life.
00:05:40.240 --> 00:05:43.519
I want to create my vision based off of what my life is.
00:05:43.839 --> 00:05:51.439
And the first step in having a good mindset is believing you have it already.
00:05:51.680 --> 00:05:53.839
Believing you have it already.
00:05:54.000 --> 00:06:00.079
I don't know if you've ever heard the book, The Secret, but it's all about asking, believing, and receiving.
00:06:00.160 --> 00:06:05.040
Now, asking is really about the awareness of what you actually want in life.
00:06:05.199 --> 00:06:12.160
And if you don't have the awareness of what you want in life, I would just keep looking at what your passions are.
00:06:12.560 --> 00:06:15.839
But the next step is believing you already have it.
00:06:16.000 --> 00:06:17.680
And let's give you a couple examples of that.
00:06:17.839 --> 00:06:19.439
Number one, Tiger Woods.
00:06:19.759 --> 00:06:29.439
Tiger Woods, from a young age, his dad instilled in his brain that he was going to be the greatest of all time.
00:06:30.000 --> 00:06:33.439
And he practiced like it day in and day out.
00:06:33.600 --> 00:06:42.959
When he was five years old, he was featured on TV, and it wasn't a matter of if he was gonna be on the PGA tour, it was when he was gonna be on the PGA tour.
00:06:43.120 --> 00:06:45.839
And Tiger had an incredible imagination.
00:06:46.000 --> 00:06:53.120
He was imagining and believing every shot was gonna be possible, and every shot would be the best shot before it did.
00:06:53.439 --> 00:06:59.199
He saw the trophies years before they actually accumulated.
00:06:59.439 --> 00:07:01.600
And that's the power of mindset.
00:07:02.399 --> 00:07:05.040
Believing it and having it.
00:07:05.199 --> 00:07:07.680
And another example of this is Evil Knievel.
00:07:07.839 --> 00:07:10.160
I don't know if you guys ever heard of Evil Knievel.
00:07:10.399 --> 00:07:14.879
Evil Knievel is a motorcycle stunt driver.
00:07:14.959 --> 00:07:24.160
I think he rode his motorcycle, flew over Niagara Falls, and he did a lot of other crazy jumps with his motorcycle.
00:07:24.240 --> 00:07:30.480
But Evil Knievel had no doubt in his mind that he was going to accomplish this.
00:07:30.639 --> 00:07:39.279
Now it wasn't accomplished just by his mindset, it was also accomplished through his actions, just like Tiger Woods was, working day in and day out toward this.
00:07:39.439 --> 00:07:44.160
I'll do a little bit each day, working toward it consistently.
00:07:44.399 --> 00:07:46.399
And here is the next step.
00:07:46.480 --> 00:07:49.600
So the first step is believing you have it already.
00:07:49.839 --> 00:07:58.399
And then the most important second step is, and I have some examples to go with this, is act like your future self now.
00:07:59.360 --> 00:08:08.240
And this is where we get, I don't know, I feel like it's hard to act like we have it already when we don't.
00:08:08.399 --> 00:08:15.279
Now, this isn't lying to people and telling them, oh, you're a multimillionaire, but start acting like the part.
00:08:15.360 --> 00:08:30.959
If you want to be a highly sought-out professional speaker or a highly sought-out professional, maybe you show up to those dinner meetings, those networking events, wearing what you would wear to those events.
00:08:31.199 --> 00:08:34.639
Start acting like the person that you want to act like now.
00:08:34.799 --> 00:08:38.000
And I want to give you the example of Jim Carrey.
00:08:38.399 --> 00:08:44.799
Jim Carrey, famous comedian, one of my favorite comedians of all time and actor.
00:08:45.600 --> 00:08:54.720
Jim Carrey every day would practice in his mirror, stretching his face, pretending to be other people, pretending to be other objects.
00:08:54.960 --> 00:08:58.799
He was constantly imagining and he was always believing in himself.
00:08:58.960 --> 00:09:00.799
He believed he already had it.
00:09:01.039 --> 00:09:04.000
He acted like his future self all the time.
00:09:04.399 --> 00:09:08.559
And he actually became homeless and he actually became broken.
00:09:08.879 --> 00:09:14.000
But he had such a deep belief in himself that he didn't give up.
00:09:14.720 --> 00:09:21.840
So much so that in 1985 he wrote himself a check for$10 million.
00:09:22.639 --> 00:09:29.840
Under the memo section, he labeled it future acting services rendered.
00:09:31.120 --> 00:09:49.200
Two days before, and that was on Thanksgiving Day, two days before Thanksgiving Day, 10 years later, he received the contract for acting in the movie Dumb and Dumber, where he was paid ten million dollars.
00:09:50.080 --> 00:10:06.559
Now, Jim Carrey had a deep belief in himself, but he also recognized that this deep belief in yourself and this constant working toward it, and just constantly putting yourself in that mind frame that I have this already, I am this person already, you can develop anything.
00:10:06.639 --> 00:10:14.960
And he believes he can, manifestation is so easy for him because he fully absorbs that manifestation now.
00:10:15.279 --> 00:10:26.159
One of the great things that Jim Carrey said that it's a little bit off topic, is that I hope everyone can become famous so they realize that fame is not the answer.
00:10:26.480 --> 00:10:41.360
But that said, what he said and what he accomplished here was through his power of his mindset and believing he had it and acting like that future person each and every day, working on those speeches.
00:10:41.600 --> 00:10:45.600
For me, I practice my speeches every morning on my 5 a.m.
00:10:45.759 --> 00:10:46.399
morning walk.
00:10:46.559 --> 00:10:49.759
And a lot of times I'm my only critic in the beginning.
00:10:49.840 --> 00:10:57.039
And frankly, I just had a Toastmasters Club meeting this past week, and I was so excited about my new speech I had been working on.
00:10:57.200 --> 00:11:07.360
It's a little publicity for my new book that's coming out, and I did it to two different Toastmasters clubs, and both Toastmasters clubs said, I don't get it.
00:11:07.759 --> 00:11:11.840
And that's okay because that practice was great for me.
00:11:11.919 --> 00:11:14.960
And I love the feedback because sometimes we need that feedback, right?
00:11:15.039 --> 00:11:21.759
And I was getting the feedback and I recognized that although the message was really good, how I relay the message was wasn't right.
00:11:22.000 --> 00:11:23.679
But how are you practicing?
00:11:23.840 --> 00:11:25.279
How are you working toward your goals?
00:11:25.360 --> 00:11:33.360
And sometimes we need to have those people that are ahead of us step into the role and say, hey, what can I do a little bit differently?
00:11:33.519 --> 00:11:38.399
But the genuine belief today is the mindset, your mindset matters.
00:11:38.720 --> 00:11:47.039
And how you change your mindset begins with how you talk to yourself and how you treat yourself.
00:11:49.840 --> 00:11:52.480
And it begins with an I am statement.
00:11:53.440 --> 00:11:57.120
If you say I am overwhelmed, guess what's gonna happen?
00:11:57.360 --> 00:11:58.720
You're gonna be overwhelmed.
00:11:59.039 --> 00:12:04.240
If you said, I am so frustrated with this traffic, guess what?
00:12:04.399 --> 00:12:05.840
There's gonna be more traffic.
00:12:06.000 --> 00:12:14.159
But if you start saying something like, I have a deep belief, I am free, I believe in myself, guess what's gonna start happening?
00:12:14.399 --> 00:12:17.120
You're gonna start treating yourself those ways as well.
00:12:17.279 --> 00:12:19.120
That deep belief in yourself.
00:12:19.360 --> 00:12:31.600
And that camp comes, my daughter did this circus rings act where she did this amazing tricks with these circus rings, and I videoed it and I posted it to TikTok, and the post went viral.
00:12:32.159 --> 00:12:39.039
And the comments were amazing, 90% of them, but that 10% of them were so awfully mean.
00:12:39.120 --> 00:12:42.000
I couldn't believe that these people were speaking the way they would.
00:12:42.080 --> 00:12:45.200
And frankly, they wouldn't speak this way to anyone's face.
00:12:45.360 --> 00:12:46.559
I know that for sure.
00:12:46.879 --> 00:12:52.240
And my daughter was reading these comments, and I said to her, maybe we should take the post down.
00:12:52.399 --> 00:12:55.519
And she said to me, Daddy, I love the video.
00:12:56.639 --> 00:12:58.399
I don't care what they say.
00:12:59.039 --> 00:13:02.320
I love the video, even if they don't.
00:13:03.600 --> 00:13:10.000
At that point, I recognized that I had raised my daughter with a strong sense of mindset.
00:13:10.720 --> 00:13:12.879
She didn't care about anyone else.
00:13:13.039 --> 00:13:18.000
She cared about her deep belief in herself and how good she believed that she was.
00:13:18.159 --> 00:13:25.759
And she knew it was only a matter of time before the world would recognize her for this topic, this talent that she had.
00:13:26.000 --> 00:13:31.200
47 million people recognized and saw this video.
00:13:32.879 --> 00:13:33.840
Incredible.
00:13:34.080 --> 00:13:36.720
So, how do you create an I am statement?
00:13:36.879 --> 00:13:38.879
Because having an I am statement is amazing.
00:13:38.960 --> 00:13:48.159
And I have an I am statement, and I'm gonna tell you my I am statement right now because it doesn't need to start off like this.
00:13:48.320 --> 00:13:53.039
I repeat this phrase to myself every single morning on my morning walk.
00:13:53.200 --> 00:13:54.480
It goes like this.
00:13:54.720 --> 00:14:12.399
I am a highly sought-out public speaker speaking on stages across the United States on personal development, in leadership, giving the audience the awareness of what may be holding them back in their own lives and having a pathway forward.
00:14:12.720 --> 00:14:16.639
I repeat that phrase to myself every single day.
00:14:16.879 --> 00:14:20.720
Now, when I started my I am statement, it didn't start off like that.
00:14:20.879 --> 00:14:26.720
So the first step in creating an I am statement is it's all about your identity.
00:14:26.879 --> 00:14:28.080
Where do you want to go?
00:14:28.320 --> 00:14:30.399
Who do you want to become in your life?
00:14:30.559 --> 00:14:31.440
Write it down.
00:14:31.600 --> 00:14:35.440
Make it honest, make it clear, make it believable at the moment.
00:14:35.600 --> 00:14:37.759
It's gonna change as you grow.
00:14:37.919 --> 00:14:40.960
But the first step is actually having that I am statement.
00:14:41.039 --> 00:14:43.039
And I still play with mine, right?
00:14:43.200 --> 00:14:45.840
I still play with my I am statements.
00:14:46.080 --> 00:14:50.639
I'm going to be in Massachusetts next month for a speaking opportunity.
00:14:50.879 --> 00:14:52.399
Looking forward to that so much.
00:14:52.559 --> 00:15:10.240
I'm gonna be in Virginia in another few months for another speaking engagement because I am a highly sought-out public speaker speaking on stages across the United States, adding value to my listeners, having them gain the awareness of what is holding them back in their own lives and having a pathway forward.
00:15:10.480 --> 00:15:13.120
First step: who do you want to become?
00:15:13.600 --> 00:15:21.440
I want to become a highly sought-out public speaker where I'm speaking on stages not just once a month, twice a month, but every single week.
00:15:21.919 --> 00:15:29.840
So my I am statement is a highly sought-out public speaker speaking on stages consistently every single week.
00:15:30.799 --> 00:15:37.840
And this could start off by saying, I'm becoming a confident speaker who shares valuable messages with others.
00:15:38.720 --> 00:15:39.279
Boom.
00:15:39.519 --> 00:15:40.240
Very simple.
00:15:40.480 --> 00:15:41.600
What is it for you?
00:15:43.279 --> 00:15:45.600
That statement establishes direction.
00:15:45.759 --> 00:15:49.279
It's not about having it perfect, and it's really not about having it perfect.
00:15:49.519 --> 00:15:51.600
So step one is about identity.
00:15:52.000 --> 00:15:54.960
Step two is the builder statement.
00:15:56.080 --> 00:16:11.440
The builder statement is connected to action because just saying something because I am the greatest athlete in the world, but without action, and you're sitting around eating donuts every single day, you're not gonna be there.
00:16:11.600 --> 00:16:13.519
So it's I am building now.
00:16:13.600 --> 00:16:17.360
Here's the next so level two is the builder statement.
00:16:17.600 --> 00:16:27.120
I am building confidence as a speaker by preparing daily, practicing my delivery, and speaking up even when I'm nervous.
00:16:27.679 --> 00:16:28.240
Boom.
00:16:28.399 --> 00:16:33.440
So now I'm putting the identity of who I want to become into action.
00:16:33.840 --> 00:16:38.240
The goal is to reinforce the identity through action.
00:16:39.200 --> 00:16:40.960
Consistent action.
00:16:41.440 --> 00:16:42.799
Step one, identity.
00:16:42.960 --> 00:16:44.799
Step two is the builder statement.
00:16:45.120 --> 00:16:48.960
What are the actions so I can actually start becoming that person?
00:16:49.360 --> 00:16:56.960
Step three is preparing for the challenges that are ahead of you because there's always gonna be resistance.
00:16:57.039 --> 00:17:03.360
And this is where the mindset gets really screwed up with this resistance, with all of these things that could happen, right?
00:17:03.519 --> 00:17:14.079
Growth always encounters resistance, fear, doubt, discouragement, embarrassment, judgments, all that stuff, setbacks, all come into it.
00:17:14.319 --> 00:17:17.759
So we wanna make sure that we prepare for the inevitable.
00:17:18.640 --> 00:17:20.400
Step one, identity.
00:17:20.720 --> 00:17:22.799
Step two, the builder statement.
00:17:22.960 --> 00:17:23.920
What's the action?
00:17:24.079 --> 00:17:25.920
Identity, who we're becoming.
00:17:26.160 --> 00:17:30.640
Step two, what's the action that goes with it?
00:17:30.880 --> 00:17:38.079
And then step three is prepare for the inevitable, which is the challenges, because after a while, it's gonna get lonely.
00:17:38.240 --> 00:17:51.119
It's lonely when you're working towards something when everyone else is just kind of hanging out, doing instant gratifications, going from one fun moment to the next, and you're consistently trying to build something great.
00:17:51.359 --> 00:17:54.240
It will pay off, but you've got to stay consistent.
00:17:54.400 --> 00:18:02.240
So we gotta recognize that even though other people may doubt you, not believe in you, you consistently work toward it.
00:18:02.480 --> 00:18:06.640
Step four, the final step, is the vision statement.
00:18:06.880 --> 00:18:10.880
And this is where it all comes together.
00:18:11.200 --> 00:18:14.960
Every morning at the five o'clock in the morning, I repeat this.
00:18:15.200 --> 00:18:17.359
You gotta repeat it every single day.
00:18:17.440 --> 00:18:20.960
Because if you don't become repeat it then, you're not gonna believe it.
00:18:21.279 --> 00:18:37.519
I am a highly sought-out public speaker speaking on stages across the United States consistently, and adding value to my listeners by having them gain the awareness of what's holding them back in their own lives and having a pathway forward.
00:18:38.880 --> 00:18:48.319
Notice how this statement has both the identity, who I'm becoming, the consistent action, the resilience to the challenge.
00:18:48.559 --> 00:18:49.039
I am.
00:18:49.200 --> 00:18:50.160
This is who I am.
00:18:50.319 --> 00:19:00.160
So it doesn't matter if you believe it, if you don't believe it, or you want to give me heck for it, or you want to, you know, throw me under the bus, this is who I am.
00:19:00.960 --> 00:19:06.640
And it's about contribution, what you're contributing.
00:19:06.799 --> 00:19:18.640
Because if it's just about making more money, if your I am statement is I want to make more money because I can pay my bills and you're just eventually, you're gonna always be chasing money the next thing.
00:19:18.799 --> 00:19:34.400
But if you make it into a bigger purpose by helping others, by inspiring others, by helping others get to what they want in life, whatever that message is, that's your purpose.
00:19:34.559 --> 00:19:41.279
And because when life gets tough, you're either gonna quit or you're gonna go at this.
00:19:41.440 --> 00:19:48.559
And one of the things with a mindset is learning to rest, but not learning to not quit, because it's gonna get hard out there.
00:19:48.640 --> 00:19:49.839
And mindset is hard.
00:19:49.920 --> 00:20:00.480
And like I said, I have failed at it, I've grown three businesses, I'm on my third book that I wrote, and every one of them, absolutely the hardest thing I've ever done, ever.
00:20:00.960 --> 00:20:11.279
And just when you think it's gonna get easier, it doesn't, because as soon as you get to that next level, you think it's oh, I got life where I want it, and it's gonna get easier.
00:20:11.440 --> 00:20:12.960
It actually gets harder.
00:20:13.279 --> 00:20:26.240
But the further you go, it's gonna get harder, but the more you can accomplish and the more people you can impact, and the greater difference you can make because you're working on your mindset, because people want to work with your confidence.
00:20:26.400 --> 00:20:33.039
They see you as your future self, as you see yourself as your future self.
00:20:33.200 --> 00:20:35.599
So, who are you becoming in life?
00:20:35.920 --> 00:20:37.599
Who do you want to become in life?
00:20:37.759 --> 00:20:43.359
What's a general action that you can move, the builder statement to move you in that right direction?
00:20:44.319 --> 00:20:47.440
Recognize that the inevitable is gonna happen.
00:20:47.599 --> 00:20:50.880
People are gonna put you down, you're not gonna get deals you thought you were gonna get.
00:20:51.039 --> 00:20:57.519
It may take a lot longer than you thought it was gonna take, it may cost twice as much money as you thought it was gonna take.
00:20:58.559 --> 00:21:09.039
But when you stay with it and you believe it so deeply, knowing that you do this every single day, it's eventually gonna pay off.
00:21:09.440 --> 00:21:26.240
And no, the mindset is all associated with our deep beliefs in God and ourselves when you believe in ourselves and believe in God's timing, life becomes different.
00:21:26.640 --> 00:21:29.440
You recognize you're not doing this alone, right?
00:21:29.599 --> 00:21:33.039
Because there's only so much your spouse can tell you to support you.
00:21:33.359 --> 00:21:43.200
But your relationship with God and your relationship with yourself are the two most important relationships that you can have: your relationship with yourself and your relationship with God.
00:21:43.519 --> 00:21:50.240
Because life is gonna get tough, but you're trying to go after something big here.
00:21:50.640 --> 00:21:53.920
And as you climb, the harder it's gonna get.
00:21:55.279 --> 00:21:57.519
Your mindset is what comes first.
00:21:57.680 --> 00:22:01.839
And I am not talking from the mountaintop, I'm talking from this climb.
00:22:02.240 --> 00:22:06.960
I'm trying each and every day to make time for myself, to make time for my mindset.
00:22:07.119 --> 00:22:07.839
Am I perfect?
00:22:07.920 --> 00:22:09.039
No, I am not.
00:22:09.599 --> 00:22:11.440
I'm working toward it though.
00:22:12.240 --> 00:22:17.279
