TRANSCRIPT 🔗
00:00:00.160 --> 00:00:11.919
In today's video, we're going to talk about the five things that I would do if I were to start out over again, what I would do to find coaching clients from Facebook.
00:00:12.160 --> 00:00:23.760
So earlier this week, I was having a conversation with one of my clients, and she started to shift away from social media because it was so overwhelming.
00:00:23.920 --> 00:00:38.479
If you look at all the things that you have to do, creating the posts, thinking about what to write, and even sitting down, creating these graphics, you have to put a lot of energy into doing something that you were never trained to do.
00:00:38.719 --> 00:00:50.000
And to be honest, you didn't spend all this time to becoming a coach just so that you could spend all this energy on social media.
00:00:50.320 --> 00:00:55.119
So in the meantime, you're trying to figure out how do I find a coaching client?
00:00:55.280 --> 00:01:00.159
And I think that we're just making this a way more harder than what it needs to be.
00:01:00.320 --> 00:01:06.000
So if you were trying to figure out how to find a coaching client, this video is for you.
00:01:06.159 --> 00:01:09.439
Hey coach! Welcome to Make It Visible Podcast.
00:01:09.519 --> 00:01:13.359
I'm Michelle Kwei, business and marketing coach for coaches.
00:01:13.599 --> 00:01:15.280
Here's what I note about you.
00:01:15.439 --> 00:01:17.519
You're really good at coaching.
00:01:17.760 --> 00:01:18.640
Really good.
00:01:18.959 --> 00:01:26.239
But being a green coach and building a coaching business that pays you, well, those are two completely different skill sets.
00:01:26.560 --> 00:01:29.040
And nobody taught you the second one.
00:01:29.280 --> 00:01:30.799
That is what we do here.
00:01:30.959 --> 00:01:35.200
Every week I take one real question from one coach and answer it.
00:01:35.359 --> 00:01:43.680
Your niche, your offer, your price, getting seen, getting clients, and also how do you keep customs of paying clients?
00:01:43.760 --> 00:01:47.840
No matter where you are, what stayed in your coaching business.
00:01:48.159 --> 00:01:52.560
Simple steps that you can use on the same week to grab your coffee.
00:01:52.719 --> 00:01:54.400
Let's get right into it.
00:01:56.239 --> 00:02:06.159
So before we get to how I do those five things, let's talk about why social media makes getting clients feeling so hard.
00:02:06.400 --> 00:02:20.479
So if you look at social media, it's hard because we're kind of sitting there and expecting that if I post something today, it's going to do something, it's going to catch the attention, it's going to attract the client.
00:02:20.719 --> 00:02:24.960
But in reality, that little squares is not going to help.
00:02:25.120 --> 00:02:28.479
It's not going to get someone to sign up with you.
00:02:28.719 --> 00:02:50.879
If you think about how we all behave in terms of buying the stuff that we like, going to the coach that we follow or admire, there's a level of trust, and trust is harder to earn, especially nowadays with the AI that can just write smart caption and putting it out there in five seconds.
00:02:51.039 --> 00:03:00.400
And anyone can sound like an expert now, just with a couple of input and prompts, you could get really great caption from AI.
00:03:00.800 --> 00:03:17.039
So nowadays the dilemma is that your audience is going around and reading all these posts that you are generating through AI and you're putting it out there, and they're thinking, well, if I can get this information somewhere else, why would I pay to hire you?
00:03:17.280 --> 00:03:21.680
So while your audience is thinking that, what do we do in response to that?
00:03:21.919 --> 00:03:37.120
We are producing more, we're putting out more posts, we're writing more captions, we're probably having conversations with your clock or your Chat GPT all day long, trying to brainstorm all the possible ways that we can get these clients.
00:03:37.439 --> 00:03:45.439
But if you think about what does it take in order for a client to sign up with you, it really comes down to very simple things.
00:03:45.599 --> 00:03:48.080
Things like how does someone find you?
00:03:48.240 --> 00:03:49.919
Are they finding you on social?
00:03:50.080 --> 00:03:53.360
If so, are you being consistent on social?
00:03:53.599 --> 00:04:01.840
If someone is finding you through referral or the word of mouth, do you have ways to get more referral, more word of mouth?
00:04:02.000 --> 00:04:12.719
And if they are finding you, whether it's on social media or through the word of mouth, can they see themselves in the way that you are articulating your message?
00:04:12.960 --> 00:04:23.279
And a lot of us we go around articulating a message, feeling that, well, it makes sense in our head, and therefore when we say it out loud, they would understand, right?
00:04:23.439 --> 00:04:32.240
But a lot of times, clients who have no experience whatsoever in coaching before, they're not going to understand a lot of the terms that you're using.
00:04:32.399 --> 00:04:36.399
But it became a second nature to you because you use it every single day.
00:04:36.560 --> 00:04:39.040
You probably use it with your coach community.
00:04:39.199 --> 00:04:41.360
So everybody understands each other.
00:04:41.439 --> 00:04:48.800
But when it comes to your prospect, maybe that's not the words or message that they are articulating on a day-to-day basis.
00:04:48.959 --> 00:04:52.160
That's not how they describe what they're struggling with.
00:04:52.399 --> 00:04:58.959
And once you get that piece out, then you wanted to think about how is it that you're going to help that someone?
00:04:59.120 --> 00:05:04.959
So, what is it they do in order to achieve what they want when they spend time with you?
00:05:05.120 --> 00:05:10.079
So that's something that you wanted to think about and being able to articulate that as well.
00:05:10.240 --> 00:05:15.839
And then once you have all those pieces in place, then you want to make it easy.
00:05:16.000 --> 00:05:28.160
You want to make it easy for people to talk to you, not to send them to multiple funnels, not send them to multiple steps because you can send them to multiple steps, you're going to lose them.
00:05:28.399 --> 00:05:34.240
So if you look at how we find clients, it really comes down to just those four steps.
00:05:34.480 --> 00:05:36.639
Do you have a way for people to find you?
00:05:36.879 --> 00:05:38.480
Can you have more of that?
00:05:38.720 --> 00:05:44.399
Once you people are finding you, can they see themselves in getting you in their life?
00:05:44.560 --> 00:05:49.519
Can they see themselves through the message that you're sharing or articulating?
00:05:49.680 --> 00:05:55.360
And do you have a way of making it easy for them to take the next step?
00:05:55.519 --> 00:06:01.279
Unfortunately, that's not how the way that a lot of you are building your business out there.
00:06:01.439 --> 00:06:11.040
You throw out a message onto a social media platform or you created a post and it's very inspiring, very educational, but it doesn't build your audience.
00:06:11.120 --> 00:06:31.360
And when you don't have a large audience, what's gonna happen is you judge yourself based on that one post, which is why word of mouth works really well because now you're just having conversation with in-person and you can gauge that person's energy, that person likes it, don't like it, or what land and what didn't land.
00:06:31.680 --> 00:06:36.879
Whereas social media platform, it's really hard for you to gauge people's energy.
00:06:37.040 --> 00:06:46.000
You throw something out there, it's just kind of dangling in the air, and you have no idea and no evidence to track whether or not this is working.
00:06:46.160 --> 00:06:48.079
So, what do we do in response to that?
00:06:48.240 --> 00:06:56.959
We post more, we create more, and the more that you create, just the more confusion you have because none of this is working for you.
00:06:57.120 --> 00:07:09.439
So, one of the key exercises that I have my client do on day one is we need to figure out exactly how your audience is describing the struggle that they are experiencing.
00:07:09.680 --> 00:07:14.160
They're not sitting there and asking themselves, well, who am I really?
00:07:14.560 --> 00:07:19.040
Or I feel lost, I feel I don't know who I am anymore.
00:07:19.199 --> 00:07:20.879
You might be using those words.
00:07:21.040 --> 00:07:26.800
What your client is really using are words like, how do I stop overthinking on everything?
00:07:27.040 --> 00:07:33.600
Or I feel lost in my career, or maybe I hate my job, but I am so scared to leave.
00:07:33.759 --> 00:07:37.600
Or things like, I don't want to start over at age 50.
00:07:37.759 --> 00:07:38.800
What do I do?
00:07:39.120 --> 00:07:48.800
So as you go out there, as you're putting your message out, it is even more important to understand what your potential client are saying in their life.
00:07:49.040 --> 00:07:57.600
So it's not just about putting your message out, but it's about using your ideal client's message in the message that you're putting out.
00:07:57.759 --> 00:08:00.480
Otherwise, you could be putting out amazing posts.
00:08:00.560 --> 00:08:04.000
It's great in your world, in your coaching world.
00:08:04.160 --> 00:08:14.160
It's great for another peer coach who's in your niche, but it's not something that's going to allow you to connect to the audience that you are trying to serve.
00:08:14.240 --> 00:08:21.040
Because the whole entire time you're creating posts based on what you like and not what your prospect wants to hear.
00:08:21.279 --> 00:08:23.920
Here are the five steps that I use.
00:08:24.480 --> 00:08:30.000
Even now, I use the same exact steps to find coaching clients on Facebook.
00:08:30.240 --> 00:08:36.960
And I know a lot of you are saying, well, my ideal clients are on LinkedIn, my clients are on Instagram.
00:08:37.200 --> 00:08:41.679
So I personally love Facebook because it creates a community sense.
00:08:41.759 --> 00:08:51.600
And I love the fact that a lot of people go onto Facebook without revealing their identity, and you have no idea what kind of people that you're going to attract.
00:08:51.759 --> 00:09:00.320
And I know what you're thinking, you're thinking, well, Michelle, my ideal clients are typically on LinkedIn or Instagram for a very specific reason.
00:09:00.480 --> 00:09:04.879
Maybe they really like how Instagram is designed, it's very pretty.
00:09:05.039 --> 00:09:11.679
So they when they do scroll, they just go to Instagram and they just scroll through all these pretty posts.
00:09:11.759 --> 00:09:20.720
And your LinkedIn is where a lot of the working professional, they are on LinkedIn, leadership, executive, you thinking that that's where you'll find them.
00:09:20.879 --> 00:09:26.159
But in reality, they are on LinkedIn because it's for their work.
00:09:26.399 --> 00:09:32.960
If you think about people who are on LinkedIn, they are on LinkedIn because it's part of their work.
00:09:33.120 --> 00:09:34.559
They need to be on LinkedIn.
00:09:34.639 --> 00:09:42.720
So they have a professional profile, maybe set up on LinkedIn, but they're not hanging out on LinkedIn waiting to see your post.
00:09:43.120 --> 00:09:48.159
Which is why I feel that there's a lot of information, it just doesn't make sense to me.
00:09:48.399 --> 00:09:57.840
And I just find it very fascinating how a lot of coaches they dive into LinkedIn and thinking that their client is on LinkedIn only.
00:09:58.080 --> 00:10:02.240
Here's what I would invite you to think about or to give you a different perspective.
00:10:02.480 --> 00:10:23.120
If you've been spending your time on LinkedIn and you have not been successful in attracting clients from LinkedIn, because that's where you put all your eggs into that basket, thinking that, well, if I am a leadership coach, executive coach, or a coach who works with other leaders, then it makes sense that I need to be on LinkedIn, right?
00:10:23.279 --> 00:10:31.200
But if you think about your leaders, executives, they're not going to spend a lot of time hanging out on LinkedIn waiting to read your post.
00:10:31.360 --> 00:10:35.440
So of course, you're not getting any traction because people are not hanging out there.
00:10:35.679 --> 00:10:43.919
So one of the things that you want to start thinking about is where can I find these people who's constantly asking for help?
00:10:44.080 --> 00:10:57.039
Maybe it's a group that you're part of, maybe it's a soccer group, maybe it's a group, a chess club, or maybe it's a professional organization that your ideal clients are part of the member.
00:10:57.519 --> 00:11:07.840
So start thinking about and finding two to three Facebook groups where your ideal clients would be hanging out and asking questions.
00:11:08.080 --> 00:11:14.799
Maybe it's a professional development program that your ideal client is joining and signing up.
00:11:14.960 --> 00:11:24.080
You wanted to start looking at what are some of the things that your ideal client are doing, joining, and they are part of the member, and maybe they have membership in there.
00:11:24.240 --> 00:11:35.519
Those are going to be much better clients than if you were to just randomly go into a Facebook group that's public and it consists of all these marketers trying to sell their program to you.
00:11:35.679 --> 00:11:42.320
So be intentional about where you're going to find your people and people who's asking for help.
00:11:42.480 --> 00:11:49.919
Maybe it's part of the membership, maybe it's part of the group that you need to request in order to join.
00:11:50.159 --> 00:11:51.440
So that's the first step.
00:11:51.679 --> 00:11:58.080
One of the things I did was I went to some of the private group where members need to request to join.
00:11:58.320 --> 00:12:07.840
And yes, some of them might be hosted by another coach, but in that case, it might even be beneficial if you reach out and offer collaboration.
00:12:08.000 --> 00:12:11.279
There's a lot of value in collaborating together.
00:12:11.600 --> 00:12:18.080
So just because it's a group by the other coach doesn't mean that you're going in there and stealing her clients or his client.
00:12:18.159 --> 00:12:27.519
It just means that there's opportunity that you might be able to collaborate or share resources or contribute to support her member.
00:12:27.679 --> 00:12:33.919
So think about where you would go in order to get access and be in front of those people.
00:12:34.159 --> 00:12:42.240
The second step I did with Facebook is I get into these private groups and I was just there to be helpful.
00:12:42.399 --> 00:12:52.879
When someone asks a question that you know the answer to, instead of saying being a gatekeeper and say, Well, this is what I do with clients, and if you want, we can hump on a discovery call.
00:12:52.960 --> 00:12:54.159
We all know what's coming up.
00:12:54.320 --> 00:12:56.480
Go into these groups and be super helpful.
00:12:56.639 --> 00:13:00.480
When someone asks a question and you have the answer to, just answer it.
00:13:00.639 --> 00:13:07.440
Answer it and share what you know and share what's working, what's not working, and you don't drop the link.
00:13:07.600 --> 00:13:11.360
Don't say that here's my link to Book of the Calendar, we can talk more.
00:13:11.519 --> 00:13:13.200
That's very salsy.
00:13:13.279 --> 00:13:18.159
And if you're like me, I don't like, I don't do salsy stuff like that.
00:13:18.399 --> 00:13:22.639
And don't hint your program, just go there and help.
00:13:22.799 --> 00:13:27.600
Here's why I encourage you to do this way, which brings me to step number three.
00:13:27.919 --> 00:13:39.519
As you are answering and being helpful to this one person, one question who raised the question inside the community, and you're jumping in and you share everything that you know, you are able to help.
00:13:39.759 --> 00:13:47.039
What's happening is there's other group members who might have the same question as the one that's being asked.
00:13:47.200 --> 00:13:52.720
A lot of us were so afraid of asking questions because we don't want to look back on ourselves.
00:13:52.960 --> 00:13:54.879
We don't want to feel judged.
00:13:55.039 --> 00:13:57.759
So we just quietly don't ask questions.
00:13:57.919 --> 00:14:04.639
But when finally the question is being asked, there's probably tons of people who also have the same question.
00:14:04.879 --> 00:14:12.320
So as you're being helpful, these other lurkers, they're going to look at, oh, she actually knows something.
00:14:12.559 --> 00:14:14.960
Oh, I like to follow her.
00:14:15.120 --> 00:14:26.799
So they're going to come to you to either friend request you or send a DM to your message, and they're going to reach out because they probably also have the same problem.
00:14:26.960 --> 00:14:42.799
So that's step number three, and it's something that I do on a day-to-day basis, even still today, I'm still inside a group being helpful and getting people to see my area of expertise without selling them anything.
00:14:43.039 --> 00:14:56.960
Now, here's step number four, and I think it's really important, and they also differentiate those who are like doing the authentic, I hate to use that word, but authentic marketing versus those who's doing car sale.
00:14:57.120 --> 00:15:04.480
I'm gonna jump into your DM, I'm going to sell you some stuff, and if you don't buy it, I'm gonna on-friend you, things like that.
00:15:04.799 --> 00:15:19.120
So, number four is you don't want to just because someone had responded or someone had asked a question, it's not okay to slide into a DM and just do a pitch.
00:15:19.360 --> 00:15:24.879
If that person sent a friend request to you, then sure, accept the friend request.
00:15:25.120 --> 00:15:32.879
But I will not go around and just because someone liked my post and go around and friend request everybody.
00:15:33.360 --> 00:15:44.799
Because if you think about how how does this translate in our real life, it feels like you're going to a coffee shop and everybody is at the counter and you're getting a cup of coffee.
00:15:44.960 --> 00:15:53.600
And while you're waiting for the coffee, there's another person who's standing next to you, and another person is standing next to you, and you're just all waiting for your coffee.
00:15:53.759 --> 00:16:03.279
So, same thing when you go to a group, just because you're talking to one person doesn't give you the right to call the other person who didn't have a conversation with you yet.
00:16:03.440 --> 00:16:20.159
And to me, that's what a lot of the icky and salzy marketers do is that they friend request you just because you're in the same group, or just because you responded to some question, and they friend request you because they have a program at the end of the conversation, they want to sell.
00:16:20.639 --> 00:16:29.279
So think of it as you're going into a coffee shop and you're just having a conversation, a great conversation, and that's your initial handshake.
00:16:29.440 --> 00:16:32.720
That's like, hey, I'm here, this is what I do.
00:16:32.960 --> 00:16:40.000
It's a handshake, it's not an invitation to, hey, friend request me, and so I can have more conversation with you.
00:16:40.240 --> 00:16:49.519
So if that person, if the person that you responded sent you a friend request, by all means respond to that friend request and you can connect with that person.
00:16:49.840 --> 00:16:54.399
But if that person did not give you the permission, you should never do that.
00:16:54.559 --> 00:16:59.519
You should never just a basic social media etiquette that I wanted to share.
00:17:01.919 --> 00:17:06.000
So the last step is to show up on your personal profile.
00:17:06.160 --> 00:17:09.119
And I know this is a question that a lot of coaches have.
00:17:09.359 --> 00:17:14.079
Is that do I use my business page or do I use my personal page?
00:17:14.319 --> 00:17:28.559
And my answer is if you are someone who's back in the early ages of Facebook or Meta, and you have tons of followers already, I said, by all means go to the business page.
00:17:28.799 --> 00:17:31.200
But a lot of us are starting from scratch.
00:17:31.359 --> 00:17:39.279
We don't have any audience, we don't have a big follower, and most people don't know who we who the heck we are yet.
00:17:39.519 --> 00:17:49.119
So I would not use your business page to do any of the engagement or reaching out or being helpful.
00:17:49.440 --> 00:17:56.720
I would personally use my personal page so that I can connect with that person on a personal level.
00:17:56.960 --> 00:18:05.759
And all that myth about you cannot do your business on your personal page, it's so out of day.
00:18:06.000 --> 00:18:13.599
Well, plus the pandemic is way over that you cannot do your talk about your business on your personal page.
00:18:13.680 --> 00:18:15.119
That's so old.
00:18:15.279 --> 00:18:17.359
And so scratch that, please.
00:18:17.599 --> 00:18:20.400
Please do show up using your personal page.
00:18:20.559 --> 00:18:26.400
My personal page is where I send all my friends, family, my ideal client, everybody goes there.
00:18:26.559 --> 00:18:31.279
And if you have not followed me already, definitely go check out my personal page.
00:18:31.440 --> 00:18:33.599
It's at Coach Michelle Quay.
00:18:34.319 --> 00:18:36.640
That's my personal Facebook page.
00:18:36.720 --> 00:18:38.799
And I will have to connect you with there.
00:18:38.880 --> 00:18:41.519
So go and follow me or go friend request me.
00:18:41.759 --> 00:18:59.759
But that's where I keep showing up and being consistent, and that's where a lot of my conversation is happening and going because I like to make it conversational so that I can build the trust that I earn from my prospect, from my ideal client.
00:18:59.920 --> 00:19:09.200
And if they see this is a good fit, if they see what I do is going to help them, then a lot of them just send me a DM and then say, okay, Michelle, this is time.
00:19:09.279 --> 00:19:10.880
I've been following you for so long.
00:19:11.039 --> 00:19:12.160
I'm finally ready.
00:19:12.240 --> 00:19:13.519
And let's do this.
00:19:13.680 --> 00:19:20.079
So I have so many clients coming from Facebook just by doing these five steps.
00:19:20.240 --> 00:19:23.440
And it's been growing my business ever since.
00:19:23.759 --> 00:19:31.759
I always think that if you have to go and learn a new platform, it's a learning curve that you have to go and you have to do.
00:19:32.000 --> 00:19:46.160
And whenever you create a friction, something that like a learning curve that you have to do, chances are you're going to take your time, and chances are the technology is probably going to catch up on you, and you're not going to do it consistently.
00:19:46.400 --> 00:19:53.920
And when you're not doing it consistently, one, you have this energy or this resistance of doing it in the first place.
00:19:54.240 --> 00:20:09.440
Two, is that you not only does it add more stress to what's already happening in your life, it's also taking away the time that you need to do something that's more valuable, like creating conversation elsewhere.
00:20:09.599 --> 00:20:22.880
So I think the most important thing for you to do right now, if you have no idea of how to find a coaching client, is you want to look at what is my current way of meeting new people?
00:20:23.119 --> 00:20:28.240
Where can I plug myself in so that I can meet new people?
00:20:28.480 --> 00:20:37.839
And one of the ways that I was building my business, one thing I realized that I didn't like was going to networking events.
00:20:38.000 --> 00:20:43.200
I'm a big introvert, and going to networking events was not something that excites me.
00:20:43.440 --> 00:20:45.680
And every time I show up, it's taking time.
00:20:45.839 --> 00:20:53.039
I have to drive, I have to travel there, and I have to sit down, and I might be able to connect with one or two persons.
00:20:53.200 --> 00:20:56.079
And that was a slow process for me.
00:20:56.319 --> 00:21:00.400
And I wanted to do something that's one to many strategies.
00:21:00.480 --> 00:21:03.599
So one to many people, one person meaning me.
00:21:03.839 --> 00:21:08.480
I want to be able to one person talking to a vast majority of people.
00:21:08.640 --> 00:21:09.759
And how do I do that?
00:21:10.000 --> 00:21:14.160
So at that time when I was building my business, I was already on social media.
00:21:14.319 --> 00:21:20.240
I was a blogger before I decided that I wanted to go into coaching.
00:21:20.480 --> 00:21:22.960
So I started my blog and writing blog.
00:21:23.119 --> 00:21:30.480
I built my own website, I started the blog all this time, and I did it for over a decade.
00:21:30.720 --> 00:21:36.240
And so I am very familiar with the social media world, the internet world.
00:21:36.480 --> 00:21:41.200
I know how to build my website, I know what a server means, I know all these terminologies.
00:21:41.279 --> 00:21:45.680
So the learning curve was minimal for me to be on social.
00:21:46.079 --> 00:21:59.680
So if you're struggling with where do I find my client, I'm going to invite you to look at what has currently been working on how you connect with new people and where are those new people.
00:22:00.079 --> 00:22:17.680
It doesn't even have to be your ideal client because she could be a group of people, and you have no idea whether or not they're your ideal client, and your message is going to help you to filter or to filter in or filter out those who are not ideal clients.
00:22:17.920 --> 00:22:36.640
The truth is you need to have the traffic, meaning you need to have a group of people who are new to you, who you are constantly being in front of, that have never seen you before or never heard about you before, because you have to remember your friend and family circle, eventually that's gonna be limited, right?
00:22:36.799 --> 00:22:40.240
There's only so much that our loved one can do for us.
00:22:40.480 --> 00:22:45.200
So you want to think about where this new audience is going to come from.
00:22:45.359 --> 00:22:57.119
It could be on social, it could be in person, where you're going and attending a conference, events, or a workshop, or maybe somebody else's networking event.
00:22:57.359 --> 00:22:59.359
Where can you be in front of new people?
00:22:59.519 --> 00:23:05.759
And from those new people, then you wanted to look at how are people describing their struggle?
00:23:06.000 --> 00:23:12.079
What are most people struggling with in that group that you are putting yourself in?
00:23:12.319 --> 00:23:21.039
And if there's anything that they share, they say, Oh yeah, I've been struggling with getting my kids, waking them up in the morning, and maybe you have the perfect resource.
00:23:21.200 --> 00:23:24.720
Then be helpful and go in there and share what you know.
00:23:24.880 --> 00:23:31.920
And so same methodology and the same method can be translated into the social media world.
00:23:32.079 --> 00:23:36.319
If you see something that's happening, then go in there and be helpful.
00:23:36.559 --> 00:23:48.559
Then start, once you start building that, then you're going to realize that oh, not only is my niche more clear to me, I know what I'm passionate about solving.
00:23:48.799 --> 00:24:01.759
The other aspects of it is not through that conversation, you're going to realize that, oh, I don't need to rely on social media in order to build my business.
00:24:02.000 --> 00:24:03.759
This is where I feel comfortable.
00:24:03.920 --> 00:24:05.920
This is where I can stay consistent.
00:24:06.079 --> 00:24:08.240
This is where I can start.
00:24:08.640 --> 00:24:27.200
Down the line, once you get to a point where you exhausted that source from one of referral or networking, and you want to expand, and that would be the perfect time to move and think about what ways, in what ways can I expand my business?
00:24:27.440 --> 00:24:30.480
And the answer might be social media.
00:24:30.720 --> 00:24:38.319
So I feel like there's a lot of information that pushes coaches, feel if you want your business, you need to be on social.
00:24:38.480 --> 00:24:39.440
No, you don't.
00:24:52.240 --> 00:24:54.640
I teach all of this, but here I am.
00:24:54.720 --> 00:25:06.000
I'm telling you that don't let where you find your ideal client stop you from just figuring out in one place or just starting your business in one place.
00:25:06.079 --> 00:25:18.400
Because I think it's important for you to take your message out and maybe it's in the real world where you can connect the people so that you can test out your message before you bring them back to social.
00:25:18.720 --> 00:25:23.759
Hey, and who says that you have to do one or the other?
00:25:23.920 --> 00:25:25.279
What if you do both?
00:25:25.519 --> 00:25:28.079
What if you connect the dots and do both?
00:25:28.319 --> 00:25:32.400
And that's where I help a lot of coaches connecting the dots.
00:25:32.960 --> 00:25:35.920
You don't have to build your business in just one way.
00:25:36.160 --> 00:25:39.839
This is just one of the ways that you can build your business.
00:25:40.079 --> 00:25:49.119
Okay, so today we talked about the five steps that I've been using to find my coaching clients from Facebook.
00:25:49.920 --> 00:26:05.039
Your job this week, your homework assignment this week, is to write a post about something that your potential client or your prospect are commonly struggling with.
00:26:05.279 --> 00:26:10.559
That one problem that a lot of your clients are trying to figure out.
00:26:10.720 --> 00:26:17.359
And you're gonna describe it in that person's voice and that person's way of describing the problem.
00:26:17.519 --> 00:26:30.880
So you might need to do a little digging in terms of how is my prospect, my potential client, describing the problem that they have using their word, not your coaching word.
00:26:30.960 --> 00:26:32.559
So that's your step number one.
00:26:32.799 --> 00:26:39.440
Step number two is start finding a place where you can be consistent.
00:26:39.599 --> 00:26:47.680
If it's not social media, is there a community that's already within your reach that you can be in front of?
00:26:47.839 --> 00:26:53.759
And these are going to allow you to build the new audience that you need to build this coaching business.
00:26:54.000 --> 00:27:10.000
And step number three is that once you start having that relationship with those individuals, maybe it is time to invite them to an official discovery call or clarity call or whatever call that you called it.
00:27:10.240 --> 00:27:15.440
So there you have it, the five steps of how I use Facebook to find a coaching client.
