Speaker 1: Sports Radio ninety two to seven w fn Z. It's March Baby Bones taking on the Texters about his beloved Duke Blue Devils. Fitty trying to hate on the Heels, but try to act like he's doing it like as a you know.
00:00:28
Speaker 2: I'm trying to hat ma. Whylet I hit on the heat?
00:00:31
Speaker 3: Why did I say heels? That's given us something?
00:00:33
Speaker 2: One more time? We're taking you off the air.
00:00:36
Speaker 1: Oh no, don't make me go home. All right, anyway, let me. I'll be better, Fitty, I'll be better.
00:00:42
Speaker 3: Baby.
00:00:43
Speaker 1: We got football talk coming up with Eric at Holme, gonna talk Panthers and NFL draft. He's got a mock out there, Kenyan Sadiq mock draft out there, so we'll talk to him about that. But right now, let's focus on all this college basketball stuff and the Hornets.
00:00:58
Speaker 3: We gotta talk Hornets to the man.
00:00:59
Speaker 1: It's apart the Hornets TV Network, and of course we got to talk about all this college stuff. And oh, by the way, there's games to be played. We're not just searching for coaches in college basketball. He is Taras Ogilsby, and he's nice enough to join us here to talk ball on the Mac and Bone Show.
00:01:14
Speaker 3: T o. How you been, man, what's going on?
00:01:17
Speaker 4: I'm doing well, guys. Just basically the basketball has been great. The Hubert Davis story has been awesome. To Will Wade fiasco has been even more entertaining. And at this time of the year, guys, I'm usually limping to the finish line, not necessarily the case. This year has been a lot of time.
00:01:35
Speaker 1: It's crazy, man. Well I'll flitch. I want to get to all those soap operas. And oh, by the way, we're playing ball tonight and tomorrow. But let's start with the Hornets, because this is the thing that this city is the most fired up about right now. Because you know too, you've done so many of these broadcasts. This is new to us, and this team is so much fun. Like what do you think, I mean, do you think this team can get the sixth seed and bypass the play in? Do you think they'll work their way to the playoffs through the play in? Like what do you think this team's destined to do?
00:02:09
Speaker 4: I think this team is playing as well as almost anybody in the NBA. And the thing is they've found their identity, they know what they are. They're moving the basketball. LaMelo's playing winning ball. And here's the thing, Guys like I saw what's the guy's name Zach Lowe on his podcast say, well, LaMelo's always been a winning player. This that, and third, well, he's always been talented enough to be a winning player. But the last two seasons, guys, I don't think I'd ever seen anybody that's fact bad possessions like LaMelo dead. One turnover would turn into foul on the other end, and then he would gamble and then give up two more points, so it'd be four or five possessions in a row where it would be a ten to twelve point swing. And you turn around and be like, uh oh, that's not happening this year. And it's because the responsibility that's on his shoulders with these guys is nowhere near what it's been over the past couple of seasons. Brandon Miller's healthy, Miles Bridges who's always healthy, and then Kanka Nipple have really lightened his burden. And then you now you bring in another guy in Kobe White who's willing to come off the bench and has been lights out over the last four games. So I look at this team and I'm excited. I understand that you know, they're probably a little undersized with Moussa Diabat at the five, but it also gives them the ability to switch a lot defensively, and the guy puts so much pressure on you from an offensive rebounding standpoint that he provides enough value despite being undersized that you don't necessarily have to worry about it.
00:03:39
Speaker 3: Terrence.
00:03:39
Speaker 5: For so long, we just wanted the Hornets to just make the play in, just you know, be a factor in some sense in that portion of the playoffs. Boyd you look at this team right now in their a game. How dangerous is this group to actually be a factor in the postseason.
00:03:57
Speaker 4: You know, postseason balls a lot, and we have not seen Charles Lee be a head coach in the postseason. We have not seen. I want to say that the majority of the starting lineup for the Hornets hasn't played in the playoffs. They've played the play in, they have not played in the playoffs. So it is a different kind of ball. It is a little bit slower, it is a little bit more methodical. So I'm really curious to see how it goes once we get there. But this isn't a fluke. The way they're playing is not a fluke. They're playing tough. They gang rebound, five guys get boards, and then on top of that, they just have so much shooting that it makes them dangerous. Now, I will say, when you rely on the three ball a lot, that brings a lot of volatility, But at the same time that volatility could be in a good way. So it's an exciting brand. Do I think they could, you know, make it past the first round? That's gonna be tough. Do I think they get into the playoffs? I do. I think they're in the playoffs this year.
00:04:56
Speaker 3: Huge game tonight. You're on the broadcast tonight.
00:04:58
Speaker 4: Right to yo, we'll be doing pre half a post.
00:05:01
Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, te O's on the broadcast tonight seven o'clock at the Hive against the next This is a huge, one, great measuring stick game, no doubt about it. Bone has the pregame with KB here on WFNZ at six. Let's go to Will Wade because you you you you are enjoying the soap opera. You mentioned that, so let's start there with the college talk. Inside Pack Sports is just reporting minutes ago that Will Wade is leaving the LSU. I felt like that it felt like it was headed there. Any minute now a plane's headed to get him. It sounds like, what do you think about this? And I mean, how should NC State fans be furious with Will Wade?
00:05:41
Speaker 6: Like?
00:05:41
Speaker 3: How do you feel about this thing?
00:05:44
Speaker 4: You know, I've known Will for a long time. Excuse me, uh Will with a Clemson when I was being recruited there. Yeah, I'll be honest with you. I'm I'm pretty disappointed. I just there was a whole lot of talk and Jim jabb about well we're the red reckonings here and all that stuff, and he said it's the worst team he's ever gonna have it MC State. We turns out it's also the best team he's ever gonna have a mc State because it's so it's one. It's one of those things, guys. I'm pretty I'm disappointed. I would have liked to see Will and this whole trash talking bonanza continue, But some of the things that LSU are presenting, I mean, it's just out of this world. I had been told by numerous people that their nil offer was north of fifteen million dollars, So now I don't have that confirm, but that is that's from some pretty good sources fifteen million dollars. So when you're getting seven eight nine from mc State, that puts you from being an NCAA tournament team losing in the first round. Hey, man, like I have the chance to get my pick of the letter and potentially make a final four. That changes things. And Will Wade's a driven dude. I think we all know that. So that's kind of the part that stinks. I guess NC State doesn't have the ability to pony up like LSU. Of course, you look at LSU's coaches now, I mean Kim Maulke, Will Wade, Lane Kiff and everybody and everybody's favorite Lane Kiffin. I mean, it is gangster's paradise down there.
00:07:23
Speaker 5: What do you think about or actually, so as far as the NC State situation goes, do you have someone in mind? Do you think that is next? We're hearing Justin Gainey's name come up, the associate coach at Tennessee and Josh Shirt from Saint Louis has two names. Do you have someone do you think that that fits as a Will Wave replacement?
00:07:42
Speaker 4: Well, Josh Shirts just signed an extension and not only did he do that, but he just turned down Syracuse as well, and I think they're in similar ballparks when it comes to all these but these booster things. So I don't think Josh Shirtz would do it. He would fit great, don't get me wrong, But I think that one would be interesting. Justin to me like that, that's an alum. That's a guy who's been under Rick Barnes, who I consider one of the greatest to ever do it, and I don't think he gets enough credit just because of how consistent he's been. Well, Justin Ganey could be that guy. And look, he doesn't have a whole lot of head coaching experience, sure, but I think he's ready. So if you finally give an Aluma chance, make it be Justin Ganey, I'd be happy with how Outside of that, you look at the typical guys that are always in the mix every year, whether it be Bob Ritchie or some of these other guys. I haven't even turned my page to that yet, and I do think it is a very interesting job though, because you have enough there at NC State to be good, it does not sound like they have enough there to be final four good. Yeah.
00:08:47
Speaker 5: Yeah, let's talk about the heels situation. I know that you're a big part of the field of sixty eight. Those guys have been all over it, I mean emergency podcast and live shows out the wazoo, and Goodman's seems to be all over. The search is of the all the names being mentioned, there's is there a name or that you like the most for the Heels.
00:09:10
Speaker 4: If they can get Billy Donovan, I think that'd be a home run. I do think that comes with certain things, though, like like I would be a little cautious and that Billy Donald hasn't been in the college game of ten years. You think the college game has changed in ten years, I mean, my goodness. So that's kind of where I would I would start there just because I think Billy d would figure it out, and he obviously has the name and players are going to want to play for him, especially spending ten years in the NBA now and Carolina has funding, and that's, you know, most importantly. The other names I would go after Dusty May second, probably Tommy Lloyd third, and then I'm probably jumping into the Buyington and Otzoburger. I actually think tj. Otzolberger would do a terrific job. I just don't know that from a personality standpoint, he necessarily fits Carol. You know Tommy Lloyd, I would say yes, Dusty May especially, I think he'd be a terrific fit. I think Billy Donovan gets along with anybody he talks to, So those would be my first two Billy Donovan, Dusty May, and then I'd go Tommy Lloyd.
00:10:15
Speaker 1: What do you think Bone and I were talking about Duke. Bone's a big Duke man, and it does seem like people nationally in the media and of course the Carolina fans on the text line, I'd expect nothing less terrence, but it does seem like a lot of people are thinking Saint John's is kind of ripe to be a team that picks off Duke, especially with Duke's health issues.
00:10:34
Speaker 3: How do you feel about that matchup tomorrow night.
00:10:39
Speaker 4: I'm not as worried as some people. I actually am in favor of Duke winning this game. And the reason I say that is because Saint John's, if the game slows down, they can't score, and that's what would scare me. There were points in that Kansas game where they couldn't throw it in the ocean with their feet in the water, and it was just a slog. Duke. You have to be consistently good. There can't be lulls in your production. You know, it does happen where teams are consistently good and they're hitting shots. Look at Siena. I mean like they played their starting five all forty minutes and you know they caught lightning in a bottle, hit some shots, got some confidence this, that and the third. But the rest of the season it's all been about can you Withstan Duke's every possession onslaught. That's the thing that I don't think Saint John's can do. Now. If Saint John's is able to turn them over and turn the basketball over, that would change my mind a little bit. I just don't see how you do it when you have four and five guys that can bring the ball up the floor. Again for Duke, this is where though, the question of do you have natural point guard comes into play and do you actually need one? So I'm curious to see how john Shire handles pressure. I think they'll be fun.
00:11:52
Speaker 3: It's gonna be a fun one, no doubt about it.
00:11:54
Speaker 1: By the way, to you, I want you to know people still remember your playing career at Clemson. We have a Tiger fan that said he will forever be grateful to you for the game winning three you hit against Maryland Bay.
00:12:06
Speaker 3: So there you go.
00:12:06
Speaker 5: People are not forgetting your hot your great moments too unbelievable.
00:12:11
Speaker 4: It's almost twenty years ago.
00:12:12
Speaker 5: Now, I to you. I'm not trying to aid you. But when we hear marylynd Roy, wow that is that wasn't the acc That's a long time agooks.
00:12:20
Speaker 3: For the days. Man oh man.
00:12:23
Speaker 1: Anyway, I'm glad anybody that can upset that miserable, angry fan base up there all right in College Park. God bless you. All right man, Well, hey, keep up the good work on all fronts. Hornets, college stuff, field of sixty eight, all that stuff.
00:12:36
Speaker 3: Appreciate you for taking some time too.
00:12:39
Speaker 4: All right, thanks guy, all right, be good.
00:12:41
Speaker 3: There you go.
00:12:41
Speaker 5: Stas Ogles be watch him to night. I think Walker's got the sixer game, bone. I think he's got sixers and Celtics this weekend. But t O's got the game tonight as well. There you go. He backed Duke Boney. How about that.
00:12:53
Speaker 2: There we go.
00:12:53
Speaker 3: Little support never hurts once in a while. Take that, fitty, take that.
00:12:56
Speaker 5: When we come back, we're gonna talk Panthers arrogant home of NFL dot Com, NFL Media, will go through the draft prospects in the Hornets range and he's one of the guys that has Mott Kenyan sidique to the Panthers. Will break down his game as well. Ericanholm Next Sports Radio ninety two seven, WFZ.
00:13:42
Speaker 3: Sports Radio ninety two.
00:13:44
Speaker 1: Seven WFNZ macam Bone with you hanging out. So much going on in Charlotte sports right now, Bonie. I mean, the Hornet's playing the way they are in that huge game tonight against the Knicks at the Hive. Oh, by the way, sweet sixteen games, and we won't get Duke to tomorrow, but but we got sweet sixteen games. We've got, you know, a Panthers offseason has us stoked. And oh, by the way, major League Baseball gets started. It's oar today. It's a fun time of year. We also talked fast food today. I mean, when is it not a good time of year to talk about food?
00:14:12
Speaker 4: You know?
00:14:13
Speaker 5: So, I don't know, I feel like Bone, I feel like we got good. We got things happening here on the mack and boat so much. How my mind is in a it's in the tailspin right now. It's news everywhere today. It's crazy, man, it really is.
00:14:23
Speaker 3: All right.
00:14:24
Speaker 1: So our next guest, we're gonna go to the football side of things. We've been talking a lot of Hoops've been talking a lot of Will Wade drama as it looks like he's officially gone from NC State per Inside Pack Sports to LSU and we start talking about this duke game coming up tomorrow night. But now it's time to get back into Carolina Panthers because with all this other stuff going on, I kind of lost track bone that we are one month away today from the opening night of the NFL Draft. We got to talk about that. We got to talk about the Panthers moves this offseason with our next guest from NFL media, Eric at Home. He is his latest mock a fan favorite in Carolina tight tight Carolina tight end Kenyon sadik At nineteen to the Panthers. So I'm sure Panther fans liked reading Eric at Holmes's latest mock.
00:15:11
Speaker 3: Eric, what's going on, man? How you doing?
00:15:14
Speaker 6: I like that Carolina. You're adding a little flare through it there. It's exciting.
00:15:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, wish.
00:15:22
Speaker 5: I've not heard him use that one before that was a new one here that was definitely not on purpose, but maybe it will be now apparently y'all like it.
00:15:29
Speaker 1: Let's let's talk about Sadiq because we had one of our guy guys coming up next on the station, Colin Hoggart say that he just read the tweet yesterday, might have been Warren Sharp, whoever it was that like he runs the same speed at his size as as Jamiir Gibbs and and Colin was asking, am I naive if I think he's going to be there at nineteen with that like size speed combination, but you and many others have mocked him at nineteen?
00:15:58
Speaker 3: Do you think he lasts that long?
00:16:00
Speaker 1: And I mean how good of a weapon could he be to add for Bryce Young?
00:16:04
Speaker 6: Yeah, he's a really interesting player. I mean, size wise, nothing special. Probably would be one of the smaller tight ends in the league. He's strictly a move guy in that regard, but he does give effort as a blocker. You know, he is an exceptional athlete. You have to treat him like a frontline receiver, just with a bigger body. I guess the question is, you know, how much does it matter that? I mean that the tight end class this year actually has a lot of good depth. I think there are really good options throughout. I think he's the number one guy that Eli Stowers from Vanderbilt will do well. Max Claire from Ohiose State will do well, but well, but there's a gap. I think there's a gap, and I think that athleticism is a big reason why. And you know, could that push him into the top fifteen. It's possible. We've seen some tight ends populate that area in recent years, but you know, we've also seen some guys slip at that position. So I think there's at least a fifty to fifty chance that he's on the board at nineteen. And you know, to me, when I was sort of looking at their roster and looking at the depth chart, they have needs, but they don't have any one glaring need that would push me away from that spot.
00:17:16
Speaker 5: Eric, How does the game of Sidiq compare both similar and different to last year's tight ends and Warren and Loveland that went in the first round?
00:17:26
Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean not as big, you know, not the same kind of physical specimen that either one is. I mean, Tyler Warren is a you know, a fully grown man and then he's able to play multiple positions because of it. They line him up in the backfield. You know that he can throw the ball, he can line up under center, he can go in the slot or you know, attached on the line or whatever. So you know, Loveland is more of the detached tight end, but he's got the longer, bigger frame receiving chops wise, you know, I think he's he's right up there. I mean again, I would say both of those guys catch the ball a little bit more naturally than Sadiq. I mean, they get it's they're kind of apples to oranges in some respects. But if we're just talking about, you know, how comfortable they are running routes and catching passes, Sadik still has to work to do in that regard. Drops were an issue. You know, we had a couple in the end zone too, so you know, kind of sinking up his eyes in his hands and making sure that those concentration drops are limited. That's that's really where you kind of noticed a little difference.
00:18:31
Speaker 1: All right, Eric, let's let's talk about the offensive tackles that might be available around nineteen in the draft. Because yeah, and I'm with you, I love the way free agency kind of took away the desperate need right to where they can go best player available. But you know, with the icky injury situation, Rashid Walker signed a one year deal. Even Taylor Mowtin, you know, two years left on his deal. But there has been some you know, knee problems there that folks have worried about little bit. So it feels like, you know, attack the future is not a bad way to go at all if they went that way, and they've been looking at these guys. They looked at Proctery yesterday at Alabama Fano and there's low MoU two with him. The two tackles that U saw they looked at. What do you think of tackles around nineteen? Is there one that you like over the others?
00:19:19
Speaker 6: Yeah, And I think those are probably the names that you're most likely going to be choosing among. I'm kind of getting the sense, and I haven't, you know, I mean, it's hard to know or a month out, there's still some moving parts, but I think Francis malanoa from Miami is going to be gone, and I suspect Monroe Freeling from Georgia could be off the board by that point. Too, so that's another option that you know wouldn't be there. Blake Miller from Clemson's another one that I would throw out there as well. I think could end up being able to play either tackle spot in the NFL. So yeah, I mean, I think those are your options right there, and you have to kind of ask yourself, you know, which play gives us the best long term sort of projection, which player you know, if if we have to move them to another position, what's that going to look like? You know, not have to, but I mean if we decide that, Yeah, right now they're left tackle insurance, but they could also play left guard or right tackle or what have you. So it's gonna be kind of interesting to see how they weigh those guys. I mean Spencer faneau Is. When I mentioned him to a guy at the combine, he said, we look at him as a five position player, meaning they think he can play center, they think he can play guard, that he's already played tackle the in college football, so the athletic ability sides not ideal for outside but he's just below the threshold of what you're looking for. So really interesting player that I still haven't gotten the feeling for. Where he's going to go exactly, but I think it's somewhere in that ten to twenty range.
00:20:57
Speaker 5: Eric Dan Morgan flew in for the Texas Pro reportedly just to see Anthony Hill up close the linebacker. How much value do you think the Pandurs will get with Hill, say in the second round, if that's where he falls, Yeah, I mean, that's.
00:21:14
Speaker 6: That's probably about where you're talking. I mean, I think it could end up being in the first half a round one or around two. I mean rather so you know, whether they're in a position to draft him or not remains to be seen. But the athletic ability is there. I think he's got the profile of a three down linebacker. You can see the diagnostic abilities when he's out there, able to you know, kind of shave off steps to get to the ball, you know, because he's reading things quickly. I think does a nice job, you know, be able to change directions and make plays from behind to Yeah, I would say, you know, they certainly featured him as a blitzer too, and I don't know that he's going to be good enough at that to make as many impact plays that in college football with the NFL, But you know, the fact that he is a pressure player makes them even more attractive. You know, somebody who can blitz and get home. And he's got some some skill in that regard coverage wise, you know. I mean again, it's like most linebackers coming to the league. There's there's some there's some limitations, but I think he can do it. And yeah, this is a good linebacker group, it really is. Jasiah Trotter is another one who I think kind of fits in that same mold. And they're a number that I think are going to go in that round two range. And you know he's he's right among them.
00:22:32
Speaker 1: We're talking with Eric at Hoolme NFL dot com. Check out his latest mock. It has Kenyon Sadique to the Panthers. Check out his mock. And I know Bucky Brooks did a big multi ram out. There's a bunch of great mocks, Chad Ryder. They're mocking you like crazy at NFL dot com, So get there.
00:22:48
Speaker 5: Usually they're mocking the Panthers in other ways, but this feels good this year.
00:22:52
Speaker 6: Well, hey, listen, as long as they're not mocking me personally.
00:22:55
Speaker 1: All right, what what do you think about the off season that the Panthers have had the free agent moves. The big ones were Jalen Phillips and Devin Lloyd. I mentioned Rashid Walker, kind of a guy that could kind of plug a hole there while Ikey's hurt. What do you think about the off season moves?
00:23:15
Speaker 6: I think the Panthers have done great. I picked them. You know, we had a sort of a poll question that we tossed out through email, who said the best off season so far? And for me, it was between the Rams and the Panthers and you know, two teams that had some some pre consequential meetings last year. But yeah, no, I mean, I just feel like they've They've done really well. And boy, the Devin Lloyd contract was very favorable in my opinion. I thought the Walker deal was way less than I expected him to get, just figuring Look, you know, people were so desperate for tackles and it didn't end up being the case, and they swept in and made a smart move. I think, value wise right to protect themselves. That's how you get to the point where you go to nineteen and have options. That's that's really what I think free he should be is creating, you know, as much depth and competition as possible, feeling as many needs as possible, so you can go to the draft with a clear deck. So from that perspective, it's been great. You know, I think Phillips is going to be an injury concern, but at the same time, if he plays to the level he did, especially after the trade last year, it's a big boost. So yeah, I really like what they've done. Pounds the pounds thought they've done as well as any team out there.
00:24:28
Speaker 5: One more draft based question for me, because we're mentioning Phillips and Lloyd be and signed at positions of need, we're looking at the other safety spot opposite marrig as a potential spot where they can upgrade. They've got light the Ransom there. We're not sure about him quite yet. What's the safety depth of this class there?
00:24:47
Speaker 4: Eric, I think it's pretty good.
00:24:48
Speaker 6: I really do. I mean, you know, I hear so many people talking about isn't a good draft, and you know next year is going to be so much better, And that's true at certain positions, But you know, I think safety's got some really interesting depths. You have three potential first rounders, or let's say top forty picks and Caleb Downs and Mayol McNeil, Warren, Dylan Sienaman. I think Sienamon is going to go second of that group, you know, locally. Jalen Kilgore's is an interesting guy coverage wise. I think he's still a little clunky at times, but a boy physically blessed and it's got some at least.
00:25:22
Speaker 4: A nose for the ball.
00:25:23
Speaker 6: I think same thing for you know, Bud Clark at TCU, another guy with what fifteen career interceptions. Aj Halsey at LSU, a really nice player who I think has kind of flown under the radar. Traydon Stokes at Arizona's the key Wheatley. I mean there's good depth. I mean, for years, I feel like we're always kind of scrounging the barrel at safety a little bit like there's a couple athletes and there's a couple of guys who are undersized but they're really experienced or and this year it feels like there's a good mix, especially with teams using kind of a safety type in that nickel spot. There's a number of guys so I think fit that very well.
00:26:03
Speaker 4: And so yeah, I.
00:26:05
Speaker 6: Mean they should have their options in this draft. I feel like, you know, once you get to day three, there's gonna be a lot of projecting. But if you see somebody like there in D two, I think there may be multiple options there.
00:26:19
Speaker 1: All right, he is Eric get Home. Everybody check out the mock draft and all his stuff with NFL Media NFL dot Com.
00:26:26
Speaker 3: Eric, thank you so much, man, We appreciate it.
00:26:28
Speaker 4: All right.
00:26:29
Speaker 6: I have a great morning too, you Eric.
00:26:30
Speaker 1: Eric get Home talking some football with us here on the Mac and Bone Show. And I would like to salute Eric get Hoolme, who ranked us bone as one of the top two NFL free agency periods in the league. And I would like to take this chance to go like this to Ben sola It didn't fire. That first one didn't fire. I would like to make that noise to Ben Solak for picking us as the seventeenth the best free agency period in the NFL. It's poppycock, it's blasphemedy, it is scandalous, fall.
00:27:10
Speaker 3: Little squeaker. Why could I not make that noise?
00:27:13
Speaker 2: You're usually making that noise with the other think you talk with.
00:27:17
Speaker 3: I never fail from that end.
00:27:19
Speaker 5: Unfortunately, Fitty update here right, fred Freddy Caldwell.
00:27:24
Speaker 3: Did it Let's Do It Back tournament on.
00:27:28
Speaker 4: Sports Radio thirty two point seven wufn C is driven by Fred called Well Chevrolet Home of the Silverado.
00:27:35
Speaker 2: Guys, all right, a lot to talk about it here?
00:27:38
Speaker 7: Did you want to give the schedule for tonight's Sweet sixteen action? We get started at seven ten on CBS Texas and Purdue. That's a West Regional semi final, a spot in the Elite.
00:27:51
Speaker 2: On the line.
00:27:52
Speaker 7: That at seven thirty on TVs and True TV, Iowa and Nebraska will play for a spot in the Elite eight, not a spot in the Big Ten title game in.
00:28:01
Speaker 2: Football, a spot in the Elite eight of the NSABLA tournament.
00:28:04
Speaker 7: At ninety five on CBS, we get Arizona in Arkansas. I have the Razorbacks upsetting the Wildcast in that matchup tonight and my bracket. Then at ten o five on TBS and True TV, probably the best game of the night. Maybe Houston and Illinois will take place. A spot in the South Region in the Elite eight in that bracket. So that's tonight's Sweet sixteen.
00:28:29
Speaker 3: Schedule.
00:28:29
Speaker 7: But big news, official news pretty much coming out of Raleigh.
00:28:34
Speaker 2: According to on three Pete Nacos.
00:28:37
Speaker 7: It is expected that Will Wade after one year is leaving NC State to go back to LSUO.
00:28:47
Speaker 5: We also have a report on the LSU side right back from their reporter Matt Moscana. Yeah about the let me try pull it up here accurately. Obviously, we know last night they had a meeting Will Wade and the boot Corgan did not go well. LSU would be willing to negotiate a settlement of Wade's buyout with mc state to avoid this lingering another week when the BAIO drops by two million. The other part of this that I wanted to mention was also before they off it's slow. Before LSU MAC officially brings Will Wade back in the fold, LSU has to have the task of firing the current coach. Seriously, man, that poor guy been twisting in the wind. I mean, like, I'm mad about what Will Wade's doing the state, but what the the lamest thing is what they've done to that poor dude.
00:29:38
Speaker 3: It's ridiculous.
00:29:39
Speaker 5: I have to Now they're gonna they're gonna bring Will Wade in and then fire the Matt McMahon.
00:29:44
Speaker 1: Poor guy just been sitting there watching this whole thing on fold, watching Will Wade and and and LSU bad eyes at each other, and he just had to sit.
00:29:51
Speaker 3: There and do nothing. And his staff who might be trying to get other jobs.
00:29:54
Speaker 1: I will say this about Will Wade has so many problems I had with him, Like all the smoke you blow, red reckoning, all that you under deliver on the court, You bash your players, and then you roll out how about this two bone?
00:30:06
Speaker 3: Why do you end the season?
00:30:08
Speaker 1: You know this LSU stuff's going on, You probably know there's a very good chance you're gonna leave, but you still at the end of the season have to tell everybody how much better your roster will be. I won't make the same roster mistakes. You continue to bad mouth your players that you brought in by the way that you selected, and then you drop this one when you know there's a very good chance you're going to LSU, you drop this one in. That's the worst, Uh, that's the worst team. We're gonna have it stayed. Why you gotta say that crap if you know there's a very good chance you're leaving because you a no good two bit slimy ass weasel.
00:30:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, legitimate, that's true.
00:30:45
Speaker 1: Semantically, he got me on that one he actually semantically is correct pointed out, and they would. They're the team that gives you a shot back in the power for after you were a shamed, no good cheater. They're the one that gives you the chance and you give him one dang year. He's just frustrating. He might be the least like the least like coach at LSU. And that's saying something. Think about that. You think about that acc SEC challenge, ESPN. You know what you need to do, all right, you know what you need to do. I need that matchup next to your state in LSU.
00:31:19
Speaker 5: Mack. It didn't end well for Sharon Moore at Michigan the whole woman situation. So when we come back on the wrap up, we're going to introduce you to the new defensive coordinator at his press conference, Shirley Mac. This wouldn't go wrong with a woman right at the press conference. Oh, Sports Radio WFNZ, I'm right, Jay.
00:31:52
Speaker 7: Angelie Chinelli is from the Detroit News.
00:31:55
Speaker 2: The best looking one of the bunch, just so you know for sure, Yes.
00:32:00
Speaker 5: Oh no, Mac, that's the New York But your chop cut of the day, Uh check them out on Instagram and why but your wine bar, for all your uh, for all the daily specials and meal deals.
00:32:12
Speaker 3: That's new.
00:32:12
Speaker 5: Michigan Wolverines defensive coordinator Jay Hill a spring presser there telling the female reporter that she is the most beautiful one in the room. I guess there's context needed. I guess she was the only female in the room. I guess that was the joke. But when you're at Michigan right now, you might want to just total line.
00:32:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're on the Michigan code, first of all, please tell me they've taken harassment training. Like if we all had to sit through that two hour harassment trainer, hadn't done dang dingg wrong? Uh, Like, please tell me in Michigan they're sitting through harassment training right now. Oh my goodness. Yeah, that was that was a gem. That was a damn gem. Man coaches in press conferences, van they produced some damn moments, don't they.
00:32:55
Speaker 5: It's almost like, mag we should play tomorrow some press conference moments from LSU head coach Will Wade here past year, I'm vomit here In that dude's intro, he goes start talking about due So it's not red reckoning.
00:33:08
Speaker 3: What's he gonna call it the purple.
00:33:10
Speaker 5: What I.
00:33:15
Speaker 3: Can't figure of a word that's like reckoning, but call.
00:33:18
Speaker 2: It the golden shower. There was a purple and gold.
00:33:21
Speaker 5: Alright, why do you always toe the line where we might be fired now because of you speak?
00:33:28
Speaker 2: There's nothing that went with purple. So I went with the gold.
00:33:31
Speaker 3: Realized that we're on the air right like these things are.
00:33:35
Speaker 1: Speaking of the broad harassment training, I wonder why did they make us take harassment training?
00:33:39
Speaker 2: Were you not in that legal training yesterday? I was there from three to four o'clock.
00:33:42
Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, legal training.
00:33:45
Speaker 7: Oh yeah, we got a we got a month's worth of legal training videos Wednesdays at three.
00:33:50
Speaker 5: I thought those were not like they're optional, They're not optional. I opted out. I opted out of that. I went there, and I don't believe those were acquired ones.
00:34:00
Speaker 4: Were they? Oh?
00:34:01
Speaker 3: Thank so?
00:34:02
Speaker 5: They were like help hope, they were like helpful ones along the way that said like join us for these summary.
00:34:06
Speaker 3: Fitty sitting legal kids.
00:34:08
Speaker 2: They were meeting.
00:34:08
Speaker 3: He didn't have to. They were like seminars. If you wanted to join.
00:34:11
Speaker 2: I was told to be there.
00:34:12
Speaker 7: We got a sports concert one coming up, like the May eighteenth, we got to be in there.
00:34:16
Speaker 3: Pitty's now the official lawyer of the Mac and Bone show. That's all.
00:34:19
Speaker 5: It took one one hour legal course. You might need that eventually. He might need a wire.
00:34:24
Speaker 7: Purple rain is what Willie Pea said. And okay, now we're getting some good ones.
00:34:29
Speaker 1: That's better purple power anyway. Yes, purple pounding.
00:34:34
Speaker 3: I don't know.
00:34:34
Speaker 5: It sounds like something Fitty would come up with. That is from Steak fat on the text line Bone. All right, so Hornets and Nicks tonight at the Hive, Bone and KB with the pregame at six o'clock games at seven to night. We got the Sweet sixteen games. Tonight we got opening day of baseball. No Braves Praise will open tomorrow.
00:34:53
Speaker 1: We are all still trying to figure out Bone on what cable and satellite systems you can watch Braves games. Some dude said he called the TV to ask specifically about Brave's vision. The new Brave service that they're trying to get. It's direct to consumer for what like one hundred bucks or something.
00:35:08
Speaker 5: Twenty dollars a month or one hundred dollars the season, although there's one of the packages where I think you can watch the minor league games on one of them.
00:35:15
Speaker 1: That's the two hundred dollars package. I think, so I'm seriously buying that dang thing. But anyway, their objective is to get on the satellite and cable providers, but I'm not sure they've done it yet. I read an article two days ago saying there weren't any known deals.
00:35:26
Speaker 5: Well, they've got time. They've played tomorrow, so they did this thing so late. Man, they really did sweet sixteen games tonight, bony, I don't know the schedule are here.
00:35:37
Speaker 3: We go Texas.
00:35:39
Speaker 5: I would Nebraska the star with Arkansas Arizona in Illinois Houston.
00:35:44
Speaker 3: Well done, but wait to pick me up.
00:35:45
Speaker 5: I'm upset that I think the schedule was a little off. I don't know why the two best games are playing late. Why did they not flip one around? No disrespect to Purdue Texas and Iowa Nebraska, but I would think that either Arizona ark and Saw or Illinois Houston should probably be in the first window and not together, because those are two great games.
00:36:06
Speaker 3: I don't love. I don't love that tonight.
00:36:08
Speaker 1: As somebody that it wakes up before four am. I don't like that either, because I'm very excited for those two weight games. Not so much the first couple.
00:36:17
Speaker 5: One is that they're on simultaneously, to your point, but also that they're on so late.
00:36:21
Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm with you on that one.
00:36:22
Speaker 4: Man.
00:36:23
Speaker 5: I think those are gonna be great games tonight. The light Windows, Yeah, I think so too. I do agree.
00:36:27
Speaker 1: I cannot wait to see that Arizona or Arkansas backcourt go up against those Arizona guards. Arizona's better upfront, I would say, but that's gonna be a fun game. All right, let's see what we have here coming in. On the text line seven oh four five, seven oh nine, six ten, I would like to ask people to stop sending in jokes that Herb Sendek or Hubert Davis should be the NC state headcut.
00:36:49
Speaker 5: I mean, I think we filled our quote up. The Hubert Davis joke has been sent five hundred times in two days. We got some send deckx two cent in there, but some one point side. It might be easier Mac to drive to Atlanta to watch the Braves and find a month.
00:37:04
Speaker 1: This is annoying, man, And it's not even like a Braves team that like people like I don't know, are y'all desperate to watch the Braves.
00:37:10
Speaker 5: Oh, mag, maybe I can watch my MLB TV. Oh that's right, it's blacked out, so I can't even do that. One of forty eight blackout teams in the Charlotte. It's ridiculous.
00:37:19
Speaker 3: How are we runs market?
00:37:20
Speaker 2: Still?
00:37:20
Speaker 3: It's crazy. It's crazy.
00:37:22
Speaker 5: Somebody voted for bow Bites at bow Jangles as the best nuggets.
00:37:26
Speaker 2: I've never had them.
00:37:27
Speaker 5: They're pretty good, bottle spice to them, I don't Yeah, they're the new nuggets I've had bows.
00:37:32
Speaker 3: Yeah, I did not know Taco Bell had chicken nuggies. Why do they do that?
00:37:36
Speaker 4: There?
00:37:36
Speaker 2: They got them in a crunch wrap?
00:37:37
Speaker 3: Now, bone, that's weird to me.
00:37:39
Speaker 1: That's weird to me that they have do people like, if you want chicken nuggets, why you go on the Taco Bell when you go somewhere else? Like they can't do it as well as these other places do that.
00:37:49
Speaker 3: I haven't had. I don't really know everything.
00:37:51
Speaker 5: I've not had them. I had him yet. Let's see, I had the Uh. I had some Taco Bell the other day that was just splendid. I forgot what I had though, was the uh gorda something Gordida crunch cheesy Gordida crunch. Yeah, something like that. Mike, Great, that's good. I'm a supreme man.
00:38:05
Speaker 1: I need to I need to sour creams and the tomatoes on my tacos, supre ma man.
00:38:12
Speaker 3: What else?
00:38:13
Speaker 1: Thank you sir? What else do we have? Someone wants to know? Can we get another segment on how fat you guys are? That was so good? That's our fact. Declare good segments?
00:38:21
Speaker 4: Do well?
00:38:22
Speaker 3: I declared to a fat or what do you want?
00:38:25
Speaker 5: Uh?
00:38:25
Speaker 3: Let's see cat.
00:38:26
Speaker 1: Let's let Captain love Handles go throw the money back into the football program. That's from a State fan calling Will Wade Captain love Handles.
00:38:33
Speaker 5: That's a one. His body is kind of oddly there is. Yeah, it does kind of go out there. He kind of got some muffin tops, you know what I mean? He kind of gotta have little muffin tops coming out. All right, Let's see what else we got?
00:38:45
Speaker 3: Uh?
00:38:46
Speaker 1: Trying to console me today is weather Man Mark, even though he's a Carolina fans, trying to console wolf Pack Mac. He says, Mac, you should not be mad at yourself for or No, you should be mad at Oh he's not consoling me. You should be mad at yourself for standing by Will Wade.
00:39:02
Speaker 3: He's a low life.
00:39:03
Speaker 1: He also says Will Wade is like the grinch, stink stank, stunk. Will Wade's dead to me, man, dead to me, all right. And I was a rube. I was a rube. I got con by his damn slimy you know car salesman con man.
00:39:19
Speaker 3: I did not gonna lie to you. This happens so quick.
00:39:22
Speaker 5: Man Bagel guy has requested a montage of Whoop pack Mac and all his hype of Will Wade.
00:39:29
Speaker 3: I think you can cook something up. Bone brought up a good point.
00:39:32
Speaker 5: You could also use Will Wade's angry rants and there's that could be a great goodbye to Will Wade. We hardly knew yumantage will you please also one shining moment to that. Well, yeah, that's what you gotta do, mag Per John Rostein. LSU will have to we'll be firing Matt mcmahonfore g LSU forgotten to fire the guy they brought in Wade at a presser and Matt Man's in his office like, hey, where do I go?
00:39:59
Speaker 4: Now?
00:40:00
Speaker 3: We forgot we had to coach.
00:40:01
Speaker 5: Will Wade's like, hey, who's that guy downstairs? What yeah, he says he's a coach.
00:40:06
Speaker 3: Oh my god.
00:40:08
Speaker 1: By the way, somebody told told us, shoot, oh, that's my little AI guy. Get out of there, dude, Gemini, that's my man, Jemini. Uh. Somebody has uh texted in and said, someone throw a bleep bag in ww's office desk drawer today. I thought he met Wes and Walker and we had a whole who's on first back and forth on the text line about why you would do that to Wes and Walker, that they're nice guys, and finally that we figured out the guy's.
00:40:43
Speaker 5: Talking about Will Wacke. What kind of back a bleep bag? Turn bag?
00:40:48
Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, that's a good idea, though.
00:40:51
Speaker 5: Seriously, someone I think he's going from his office.
00:40:54
Speaker 3: All right. I'm not sure he's been in his state office for days. I don't think he's been there for months.
00:40:58
Speaker 1: Oh god, all right, we got to it out of here, y'all. Good work out of the bone Man the fit Dog. Thanks to every one of you for hanging out with us. We uh, we appreciate it.
00:41:07
Speaker 3: Dearly.
00:41:08
Speaker 1: When we're gonna say we're gonna get out of here, you've got Colin Hiker coming up next tomorrow.
00:41:12
Speaker 3: We recap The Hornets and.
00:41:14
Speaker 1: Duke Bone and Duke Mac joined.
00:41:16
Speaker 5: Forces like the superhero, do what we are. Baby, We'll talk to you all tomorrow.
