DISAPPOINTMENT: Texas Has ANOTHER Lackluster Day on Offense - Is This Who They Are? | Texas Football

Texas Longhorns’ offense sputters despite dominant 31-3 win over Mississippi State—has the hope for a high-powered attack faded for 2026? Offensive struggles, including protection issues for Arch Manning, lackluster rushing from Hollywood Smothers, and uninspired play-calling from Steve Sarkisian, leave fans questioning whether this unit can find another gear. With 280 total yards and alarming third-down stats, Texas’ issues run deep, sparking debate on whether improvement is possible this season.

Key injury updates add to the drama, as Ryan Wingo, Colin Simmons, Cam Coleman, and others face uncertain timelines ahead of a pivotal showdown against Missouri. The conversation shifts to Texas basketball, where Sean Miller’s squad—ranked No. 7 and boasting a mix of top transfers and prized recruits like Austin Goosby—launches a new era with championship ambitions. Can the Longhorns’ defense and refreshed hoops roster carry the program to the next level?
