ABOUT THIS EPISODE
The Denver Broncos kept three quarterbacks on their 53-man roster, creating an additional spot behind Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham. Why carry Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger instead of using that roster spot elsewhere? Cody Roark explains how their command of Sean Payton’s offense and Davis Webb’s system could help Denver manage an injury, while giving the Broncos trade leverage if another team needs a quarterback.
Jonathan Cooper’s placement on the commissioner’s exempt list also brings clarity to Denver’s outside linebacker rotation. Cooper will be paid and can attend team activities, but he cannot practice or play while his legal process continues. With a potential suspension still ahead, Jonah Elliss is expected to start opposite Nik Bonitto, putting the Broncos’ pass-rush depth under the microscope.
