ABOUT THIS EPISODE
For years, you've heard us interview filmmakers, journalists, survivors, law enforcement, and storytellers. This time, we're turning the camera around.
In this special release episode of Locked Off Logic, Sam sits down with co-host Tyler Schwab for the first in-depth conversation about the journey behind the microphone.
From growing up in the mountains of Wyoming to traveling through more than 40 countries, Tyler shares the experiences that shaped his life. He opens up about founding Libertas International, working alongside governments and survivors to combat human trafficking, and the emotional weight that comes with spending years in some of the darkest places imaginable.
But this isn't just a conversation about humanitarian work.
It's about storytelling.
Why do films like Logan, The Lord of the Rings, The Last of Us, and The Legend of Zelda resonate so deeply? How has cinema influenced the way Tyler sees hope, sacrifice, and redemption? What does adventure in the wilderness have in common with helping people find freedom?
The conversation explores the victories, failures, moments of doubt, and the lessons learned from building an organization from the ground up while balancing leadership, faith, creativity, and the search for purpose.
You'll also hear stories that have never been told on the podcast—life-changing moments from the mountains of Wyoming, encounters around the world, the people who left a permanent mark on Tyler's life, and why he believes the greatest stories aren't about heroes who never fall, but ordinary people who choose to keep moving forward.
This episode is less about accomplishments and more about the person behind them: the books that changed him, the games that inspired him, the films that gave him hope, the adventures that shaped his perspective, and the mission that continues to drive everything he does.
If you've ever wondered who Tyler Schwab is beyond the headlines, podcasts, and humanitarian work, this is the conversation.
This is the story behind Locked Off Logic—and the person who helped build it.
