ABOUT THIS EPISODE
One phone call. Forty-seven minutes. Two chilling words… and then silence.
This week on Lipgloss & Lobotomies, we’re diving into one of the most haunting missing person cases in modern history—the disappearance of 19-year-old Brandon Swanson.
After his car slid into a ditch on a dark rural road in Minnesota, Brandon called his parents for help. As they searched for him, he stayed on the phone, walking through fields under the night sky. Then, without warning, he uttered the words, “Oh, shit.” The call went silent, and Brandon was never seen again. Despite massive searches and years of investigation, his disappearance remains unsolved.
In this episode, we break down the timeline of Brandon’s final known moments, the evidence investigators uncovered, the theories that continue to spark debate, and the lasting legacy of Brandon’s Law, which changed how missing adult cases are handled in Minnesota. Most importantly, we remember the young man at the center of this enduring mystery.
