00:00:03.040 --> 00:00:17.280
Oh my god, I can't tell.
2
00:00:15.199 --> 00:00:19.920
What's up, guys, and welcome to lights camera. We are
3
00:00:20.079 --> 00:00:24.359
bad guys, So get ready get your popcorn because this
4
00:00:24.480 --> 00:00:27.199
is going to be juicy and horrific.
5
00:00:27.519 --> 00:00:32.320
Yes, so, guys, this is the story of Rodney Alcala.
6
00:00:32.520 --> 00:00:35.520
If you guys know about the story, he's known as
7
00:00:35.759 --> 00:00:39.320
the Dating Game Killer, and that is because he went
8
00:00:39.520 --> 00:00:45.320
on a dating game and he won. And you'll you'll
9
00:00:45.320 --> 00:00:47.759
hear what happens. But I'm pretty sure you can already guess.
10
00:00:47.840 --> 00:00:52.039
Yeah, you guys have probably seen like clips movies. I've
11
00:00:52.079 --> 00:00:56.679
seen it. Ray Williams, he's uh, he's talked about it
12
00:00:56.759 --> 00:01:00.560
not too long ago. So you guys have probably secure
13
00:01:00.640 --> 00:01:03.679
about this story. It's probably one of the more popular ones.
14
00:01:03.759 --> 00:01:07.519
This is actually quite a popular one. Yeah, so this
15
00:01:07.599 --> 00:01:11.959
actually happened on September thirteenth of nineteen seventy eight. So
16
00:01:12.040 --> 00:01:16.879
it's an oldie. A girl named Cheryl Bradshaw who was
17
00:01:17.079 --> 00:01:21.840
the love interest the Bachelorette. I guess you could say
18
00:01:21.879 --> 00:01:25.760
of our time for the TV show called The Dating Game,
19
00:01:25.879 --> 00:01:29.840
which it's pretty much there's one girl a lineup of
20
00:01:29.920 --> 00:01:34.680
guys and it's kind of like that dating The Dating Game,
21
00:01:34.799 --> 00:01:38.560
No you know the dating that you watch sometimes on YouTube.
22
00:01:38.680 --> 00:01:40.319
Was like one person and then like a bunch of
23
00:01:40.319 --> 00:01:43.200
guys or a bunch of girls. It's like that, yes,
24
00:01:44.359 --> 00:01:47.840
and they have to choose one person, and Cheryl chose
25
00:01:48.640 --> 00:01:49.680
Rodney Alcala.
26
00:01:50.599 --> 00:01:51.480
Bad choice.
27
00:01:51.719 --> 00:01:55.239
So at the time that he had actually been on
28
00:01:55.319 --> 00:01:59.760
the show, he was already a murderer. So Cheryl is
29
00:01:59.840 --> 00:02:04.400
actually she's a survivor of Rodney's because I don't know,
30
00:02:04.439 --> 00:02:07.079
she got some type of woman intuition.
31
00:02:06.879 --> 00:02:09.599
And then she didn't want to like go on the
32
00:02:09.759 --> 00:02:13.439
date with him afterwards. Yeah, and like the show, they
33
00:02:13.599 --> 00:02:17.800
talked backstage and stuff, and she didn't not like his
34
00:02:18.039 --> 00:02:22.520
vibe whatsoever. So she talked to the people in the
35
00:02:22.639 --> 00:02:24.639
game and stuff and she's like, I don't want to
36
00:02:24.680 --> 00:02:26.159
do this. I don't want to go there.
37
00:02:27.400 --> 00:02:32.199
Yeah, because he was acting really creepy. And Cheryl actually
38
00:02:32.919 --> 00:02:36.479
told the Sydney Telegraph in twenty twelve that she started
39
00:02:36.479 --> 00:02:39.919
to feel sick. She started to feel ill when she
40
00:02:40.039 --> 00:02:42.680
started talking to him, and she just felt he was creepy.
41
00:02:42.680 --> 00:02:44.840
So he had she had to turn him down. Another
42
00:02:45.000 --> 00:02:48.680
one of the guys that was on the show, his
43
00:02:48.840 --> 00:02:53.159
name was Jed Mills. He had actually said about Rodney
44
00:02:53.199 --> 00:02:56.520
that he was very quiet, but that he remembered him
45
00:02:56.599 --> 00:03:01.120
because he told his brother that one guy who was
46
00:03:01.240 --> 00:03:04.599
kind of good looking but kind of creepy was he
47
00:03:04.759 --> 00:03:07.840
was always looking down and not making eye contact.
48
00:03:08.240 --> 00:03:11.759
Damn. Yeah, it had like the popular dating show performance
49
00:03:11.879 --> 00:03:17.240
backstage checked on the bachelors, and they had discovered that Ronnie,
50
00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:19.599
this is the kind of good looking but kind of
51
00:03:19.639 --> 00:03:23.919
creepy guy, already spent three years in prison for raping
52
00:03:24.039 --> 00:03:28.240
and beating an eight year old girl. Guys, he's done
53
00:03:28.319 --> 00:03:31.280
the same to a thirteen year old too, which landed
54
00:03:31.360 --> 00:03:36.080
him in the FBI's ten Most Wanted Futured list.
55
00:03:36.840 --> 00:03:41.319
Yeah, so at this time, I guess producers didn't do
56
00:03:41.400 --> 00:03:45.240
background checks like they do now. Yeah, if they did,
57
00:03:45.560 --> 00:03:49.520
he would have he would have been a flying red flag, yeah,
58
00:03:49.560 --> 00:03:53.319
because he had already been in like he's in ten
59
00:03:53.400 --> 00:03:58.280
most Wanted. So although like they didn't do a background
60
00:03:58.400 --> 00:04:03.400
check back then, Sometimes background checks, I mean sometimes you
61
00:04:03.439 --> 00:04:06.159
can hide stuff really well during a background check, or.
62
00:04:06.159 --> 00:04:10.520
Sometimes they even just takes too long. If the victor,
63
00:04:10.599 --> 00:04:13.759
if the uh like not the victim, but like the
64
00:04:13.800 --> 00:04:18.600
person that's like him, Yeah, finds out that there's suspicious
65
00:04:18.639 --> 00:04:22.160
of him. Yeah, he's quick to move or do something
66
00:04:22.199 --> 00:04:26.639
about it, and they have to move as fast as him,
67
00:04:26.680 --> 00:04:30.000
but they still have to like investigate behind and like
68
00:04:30.399 --> 00:04:33.279
they can't just be like, oh, you're you're it right,
69
00:04:33.360 --> 00:04:34.839
even though they know it's him.
70
00:04:35.160 --> 00:04:39.839
Yeah, so at the time of him being on the
71
00:04:39.959 --> 00:04:44.199
dating show, he had actually already murdered five four people
72
00:04:44.480 --> 00:04:47.000
before he went on the show. And I mean, as
73
00:04:47.040 --> 00:04:50.480
you guys can imagine, the rejection he had from the
74
00:04:50.639 --> 00:04:54.279
bachelorette from that show really fueled his fire.
75
00:04:55.839 --> 00:05:00.920
And he killed the butt between fifty to hundred people.
76
00:05:01.279 --> 00:05:05.079
Yeah, that is both before and after he was on TV.
77
00:05:05.360 --> 00:05:09.240
So guys, this is pretty much it. So guys, if
78
00:05:09.240 --> 00:05:13.160
you guys want us to continue, or if you guys
79
00:05:13.319 --> 00:05:15.879
would like to know more about it, we will leave
80
00:05:16.040 --> 00:05:19.839
the clip or the link I should say in the
81
00:05:19.920 --> 00:05:23.680
description and you guys can read all about it. But yeah,
82
00:05:23.720 --> 00:05:26.480
this is definitely one that was really popular.
83
00:05:26.720 --> 00:05:30.079
Yes, he was very popular. I mean he was on
84
00:05:30.160 --> 00:05:34.319
TV while he was on the FBI's ten most wanted
85
00:05:34.360 --> 00:05:38.480
list and he still managed to kill another fifty to
86
00:05:38.560 --> 00:05:39.319
one hundred people.
87
00:05:39.399 --> 00:05:45.279
Perfect suspect or murder should I say? For lights CHEMERA
88
00:05:45.399 --> 00:05:49.920
rest episode yes, so hope you guys liked it. Make
89
00:05:49.959 --> 00:05:53.399

and they have to choose one person, and Cheryl chose
25
00:01:48.640 --> 00:01:49.680
Rodney Alcala.
26
00:01:50.599 --> 00:01:51.480
Bad choice.
27
00:01:51.719 --> 00:01:55.239
So at the time that he had actually been on
28
00:01:55.319 --> 00:01:59.760

29

actually she's a survivor of Rodney's because I don't know,

she got some type of woman intuition.
31
00:02:06.879 --> 00:02:09.599
And then she didn't want to like go on the
32
00:02:09.759 --> 00:02:13.439

do this. I don't want to go there.
37
00:02:27.400 --> 00:02:32.199
Yeah, because he was acting really creepy. And Cheryl actually
38
00:02:32.919 --> 00:02:36.479
told the Sydney Telegraph in twenty twelve that she started
39
00:02:36.479 --> 00:02:39.919
to feel sick. She started to feel ill when she
40
00:02:40.039 --> 00:02:42.680
started talking to him, and she just felt he was creepy.
41
00:02:42.680 --> 00:02:44.840

was always looking down and not making eye contact.
48
00:03:08.240 --> 00:03:11.759
Damn. Yeah, it had like the popular dating show performance
49
00:03:11.879 --> 00:03:17.240

50
00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:19.599
this is the kind of good looking but kind of

him in the FBI's ten Most Wanted Futured list.
55
00:03:36.840 --> 00:03:41.319
Yeah, so at this time, I guess producers didn't do
56
00:03:41.400 --> 00:03:45.240
background checks like they do now. Yeah, if they did,
57
00:03:45.560 --> 00:03:49.520
he would have he would have been a flying red flag, yeah,
58
00:03:49.560 --> 00:03:53.319
because he had already been in like he's in ten
59
00:03:53.400 --> 00:03:58.280

but they still have to like investigate behind and like
68
00:04:30.399 --> 00:04:33.279
they can't just be like, oh, you're you're it right,
69
00:04:33.360 --> 00:04:34.839

70
00:04:35.160 --> 00:04:39.839
