ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Graduation is supposed to feel like the finish line…
but for most creatives, it’s really the beginning of a new question.
In this intimate episode of Let’s Talk at Pillow Talk, host DestinyShanee sits down with DeeJay — a newly graduated MediaTech writer — to unpack the emotional, creative, and professional realities of life after school.
Together, they explore what it means to:
- Find your voice as a writer outside the classroom
- Adjust to life without deadlines, syllabi, or built-in validation
- Balance creativity with sustainability
- Protect your ideas while learning the business side of writing
- Stay grounded when comparison, doubt, and pressure creep in
This conversation is especially for:

As always, this episode invites you to slow down, get comfortable, and reflect — Pillow Talk style.
