00:02:16.730 --> 00:02:19.930

00:02:33.370 --> 00:02:39.689
At this time, we will go ahead and turn it over to Apostle Herbie so that he can go ahead and open us in prayer.

00:03:30.330 --> 00:03:42.970

00:03:43.129 --> 00:03:48.569
Let every decision carry integrity, compassion, wisdom, and kingdom authority.
00:03:48.970 --> 00:04:02.730
We declare that this podcast will be a voice of light of light in the midst of darkness.
00:04:09.050 --> 00:04:17.290

00:04:17.450 --> 00:04:25.769

00:04:25.930 --> 00:04:28.009
Let discernment increase.
00:04:28.170 --> 00:04:30.889
Let your glory rest upon this assignment.
00:04:31.129 --> 00:04:39.930
We dedicate this time to you and then and declare that all glory, honor, and praise belongs to you alone.
00:04:40.090 --> 00:04:41.769
In Jesus' mighty name we pray.
00:04:41.850 --> 00:04:42.250
Amen.
00:04:42.490 --> 00:04:42.970
Amen.
00:04:43.129 --> 00:04:43.689
Amen.
00:04:43.850 --> 00:04:46.970
Alright, we're gonna dive right into this, people of God.
00:04:48.889 --> 00:04:52.409
And my allergies are flaring up, so please forgive me.
00:04:53.210 --> 00:04:53.850
All right.
00:04:54.490 --> 00:04:58.250
So on today, we're here with episode seven.
00:04:59.050 --> 00:05:06.490
And remember, we are in season six, and we're dealing with the voices of the church in a divided world.
00:05:06.810 --> 00:05:16.730
On this episode, we're dealing with the topic deconstruction versus discipleship, rebuilding faith the right way.
00:05:17.450 --> 00:05:23.689
The theme for today will be rebuilding faith on a biblical foundation.
00:05:23.930 --> 00:05:32.889
And of course, you know, you all know here on Let's Talk About It podcast that we are based on faith, family, and focus.
00:05:33.529 --> 00:05:38.090
So again, welcome back to Let's Talk About Pod Talk About It podcast.
00:05:38.409 --> 00:05:55.050
As we continue, people of God, with season six of Voices of the Church in a Divided World, we're building upon the conversation from our last episode, which dealt with the silent church when fear muzzles the pulpit.
00:05:55.370 --> 00:05:57.769
This is where we are in this discussion today.
00:05:57.930 --> 00:06:02.009
So we're going to go a little bit deeper and we're going to expose some things.
00:06:02.170 --> 00:06:02.810
Amen.
00:06:03.450 --> 00:06:13.769
So we discuss how fear, opposition, and cultural pressure can silence believers who have been called to speak truth.
00:06:14.250 --> 00:06:26.330
But today we're going one step deeper, people of God, because before believers can stand boldly for truth, they must first be rooted in truth.
00:06:26.570 --> 00:06:27.050
My God.
00:06:27.210 --> 00:06:34.009
In other words, you cannot stand on truth and in truth if you're not first rooted in truth, my God.
00:06:34.490 --> 00:06:53.129
And we are living in a generation, people of God, where many people are questioning what they believe, why they believe it, and where the faith, and wherever the faith that they inherited is actually the faith that the scripture teaches.
00:06:53.289 --> 00:06:55.370
Okay, so I've been taught this.
00:06:55.610 --> 00:06:59.049
This is what I learned, but is this what scripture says?
00:06:59.210 --> 00:07:08.009
We're dealing with people of God in this hour in this season, people of God globally, that are tired of the status quo.
00:07:08.169 --> 00:07:14.330
They're looking for the encounters with God, they're looking with the authentic moves of God.
00:07:14.490 --> 00:07:18.169
They are sick and tired of going and hearing motivational speakers.
00:07:18.330 --> 00:07:28.409
They're sick and tired of going to churches that are just that are that are actively, you know, it may be praise and worship, it may be praise dances, whatever it may be.
00:07:28.490 --> 00:07:36.330
And I'm not, we're not trying to um talk about any ministries in any way that they function, but we all must be Bible-based.
00:07:36.570 --> 00:07:40.730
People are looking for the true, authentic moves of God.
00:07:40.889 --> 00:07:42.330
They are sick and tired of it.
00:07:42.409 --> 00:07:47.529
They don't want to hear what you're saying, but they're watching and want to know how you live it.
00:07:47.850 --> 00:07:48.490
My God.
00:07:48.970 --> 00:07:53.690
So we're living with a generation of people that are questioning all these things.
00:07:53.930 --> 00:07:57.529
And the term we often hear today is deconstruction.
00:07:57.930 --> 00:07:58.889
Oh my God.
00:07:59.370 --> 00:08:02.889
Now, I want you to understand something, people of God.
00:08:03.289 --> 00:08:07.769
Questioning what you've been taught is not automatically rebellion.
00:08:08.090 --> 00:08:13.850
Examining religious traditions is not necessarily rejecting God.
00:08:14.250 --> 00:08:22.570
And recognizing that something was taught incorrectly does not mean that Christianity itself is false.
00:08:23.450 --> 00:08:36.730
But there is a difference, people of God, between examining what you believe and dismantling your faith without rebuilding upon a solid biblical foundation.
00:08:37.049 --> 00:08:38.810
This is what we're seeny.
00:08:38.889 --> 00:08:54.169
There is erroneous doctrine or doctorite, as some older people would say it, that is going around where there are alternative Christians, where people are in a reprobated mindset and they're trying to say that right is wrong and wrong is right.
00:08:54.330 --> 00:08:57.049
And anything, I'm going to put this right here and I'm going to move on.
00:08:57.129 --> 00:09:01.049
Anything that is not rooted in love is not rooted in God.
00:09:01.370 --> 00:09:02.409
That's a free one.
00:09:02.490 --> 00:09:03.370
That's a free one.
00:09:03.529 --> 00:09:07.610
So sometimes people are dismantling false teachings.
00:09:08.009 --> 00:09:11.850
Sometimes they are confronting religious abuse.
00:09:12.250 --> 00:09:20.009
Sometimes they are trying to separate the character of God from the behavior of people who claim to represent Him.
00:09:20.330 --> 00:09:29.610
This comes down to character, to examining ourselves to make sure that what we teach and preach lives up to what we live.
00:09:30.250 --> 00:09:43.289
But sometimes and sometimes along the way, in that very process, people of God, they begin removing the very foundation upon which their faith should stand upon.
00:09:44.409 --> 00:09:48.570
And that's where discipleship becomes critical.
00:09:48.810 --> 00:09:49.450
My God.
00:09:50.810 --> 00:09:58.250
Today's episode is titled Reconstruction versus Discipleship.
00:09:58.490 --> 00:10:05.930
Because we're talking about rebuilding faith the right way, based on biblical principles and scripture-based only.
00:10:06.250 --> 00:10:10.730
Because the objective here, people of God, should never be to destroy faith.
00:10:11.690 --> 00:10:19.049
The objective should be to establish faith, but to establish faith upon the truth of the word of God.
00:10:19.289 --> 00:10:22.090
So, people of God, let's talk about it.
00:10:23.129 --> 00:10:29.049
Let's first talk about why people are walking away from the church.
00:10:29.690 --> 00:10:30.649
My God.
00:11:29.289 --> 00:11:34.970
Talking on men, Apostle Herbie, he could tag in here in a moment because we're going to be switching in a second here.
00:11:35.210 --> 00:11:40.490
But one of the sad things is we need you all to understand that leaders get wounded too.
00:11:40.970 --> 00:11:52.569
We need you all to understand, men and women of God, that all of us have gone through a process at one time or another in our lives where we've gone through something.
00:11:52.730 --> 00:12:05.769
But we have to make up our mind that I'm not going to stay here in the valley, but I'm going to pursue and be persistent and go after the things of God that I desire.
00:12:06.250 --> 00:12:08.250
So what happens to all of us?
00:12:08.490 --> 00:12:14.009
Another thing is this thing called prosperity gospel.
00:12:14.569 --> 00:12:19.529
A lot of people feel as though and they are being prophesied to not prophesy.
00:12:19.610 --> 00:12:23.289
We've seen videos, we've had videos sent to us, we've had to pray.
00:12:23.449 --> 00:12:30.569
People have reached out to pray for people that used to be connected with us, people that we have known that we've come in contact.
00:12:30.730 --> 00:12:32.730
Sometimes it's people we've never met.
00:12:32.809 --> 00:12:46.090
And they're telling us or showing us videos where they're being told by false prophets, if you sow this amount of money, or you're not, you're not going to get this business or this house or this car or this job if you don't sow X amount of money.
00:12:46.250 --> 00:12:47.449
That's not scriptural.
00:12:47.529 --> 00:12:52.169
That's not, and the saddest thing about this is this is a prosperity gospel.
00:12:52.329 --> 00:13:08.730
And this has become where people that are professing to be prophets, but what they are, they become male and female Jezebels, witches, and warlocks that are pretending to be men and women of God.
00:13:08.970 --> 00:13:10.809
And many have been deceived.
00:13:11.049 --> 00:13:13.769
This people of God is where discernment comes in.
00:13:14.009 --> 00:13:20.730
That also deals with the church hurt and different types of problems that we see people walking away from.
00:13:20.889 --> 00:13:26.169
But we also have those now, let's get it right, that have what we call the itchy ear syndrome.
00:13:26.569 --> 00:13:38.329
As long as someone's telling them something that feels good or something that doesn't challenge their flesh or something that doesn't cause them to be convicted to live right, then they're satisfied with the status quo.
00:13:38.490 --> 00:13:38.809
Okay?
00:13:39.049 --> 00:13:41.370
We're gonna leave that right there and move on here.
00:13:41.449 --> 00:13:45.929
But I wanted to put that in there because it all goes hand in hand, people of God.
00:13:46.649 --> 00:13:51.449
And we must learn to acknowledge that those experiences are real.
00:13:52.009 --> 00:13:53.929
But here is the challenge.
00:13:54.250 --> 00:14:05.129
When someone has experienced pain without a religious environment, they may begin associating the action of the people with the character of God.
00:14:05.769 --> 00:14:07.689
I'm telling you all, it's serious.
00:14:07.929 --> 00:14:11.689
And those two things must be distinguished.
00:14:12.009 --> 00:14:14.569
God is holy, people are imperfect.
00:14:14.809 --> 00:14:17.769
God is faithful, people can fail you.
00:14:18.169 --> 00:14:22.889
God is righteous, people may misuse authority.
00:14:23.370 --> 00:14:30.090
We cannot excuse wrongdoing simply because it occurs inside a church.
00:14:30.409 --> 00:14:41.529
Neither should be automatically conclude that God is untrustworthy because someone misrepresented God, my Lord.
00:14:42.490 --> 00:14:43.129
All right.
00:14:44.169 --> 00:14:46.730
I'm going to, I'm looking to see here.
00:14:47.210 --> 00:14:50.169
All right, I'm gonna turn over um segment.
00:14:50.569 --> 00:14:54.569
Okay, and here I'm gonna finish this up, then I'm gonna flip it over to Apostle here.
00:14:54.730 --> 00:14:56.250
I don't want to stop in the middle of it.
00:14:56.409 --> 00:15:02.730
So when we look at the scriptural readings, we we go to the scripture for what I have just talked to you all about.
00:15:02.889 --> 00:15:13.049
It's from Proverbs chapter 3, verse 5 through 6, when it says, To trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.
00:15:13.289 --> 00:15:14.329
That's verse 5.
00:15:14.490 --> 00:15:22.809
Verse 6 says, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path, my God.
00:15:23.449 --> 00:15:35.850
So when we begin to think about to expand on this or this in a teaching format, now let's examine what the passage is really teaching us, men and women of God.
00:15:36.169 --> 00:15:40.809
The scripture tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts.
00:15:41.049 --> 00:15:45.210
That means our confidence must ultimately rest in God.
00:15:45.769 --> 00:15:52.009
But notice the second instruction: do not lean upon your own understanding.
00:15:52.250 --> 00:15:52.649
Uh-huh.
00:15:53.049 --> 00:16:03.529
This does not mean that we should not stop, that we should stop thinking or asking questions or examining what we've been taught.
00:16:03.850 --> 00:16:04.169
Okay?
00:16:05.129 --> 00:16:15.850
That goes back to the scripture that tells us in the scripture to study to show thyselves approved unto God, a workman that will not be ashamed, rightfully dividing the word of truth.
00:16:16.090 --> 00:16:30.009
So that means you may hear the word, you may read the word, we may meditate upon the word, but when scripture is being expounded upon, we need to have that word right there, line upon line, and precept upon precept.
00:16:30.329 --> 00:16:38.329
This does not mean that we should not just stop and don't stop thinking and don't ask questions or examining what we've been taught.
00:16:38.490 --> 00:16:47.850
What it means, people of God, is this that our understanding is limited and what we must remain submitted to God's wisdom.
00:16:48.009 --> 00:16:51.529
So we must continually eat of the word of God.
00:16:51.689 --> 00:16:53.449
It is our daily manner.
00:16:54.409 --> 00:16:57.289
And this and this is important.
00:16:58.009 --> 00:17:05.450
When dealing with spiritual wounds, people of God, pain can influence how we interpret our experiences.
00:17:05.850 --> 00:17:12.970
Disappointment can affect our expectations, and betrayal can make trusting again difficult.
00:17:13.529 --> 00:17:22.809
But we must be careful not to allow painful experiences to become the final authority over what we believe about God.
00:17:23.370 --> 00:17:30.329
Pain deserves the attention and the healing process to be restored and renewed and made whole.
00:17:30.569 --> 00:17:30.890
Okay.
00:17:31.769 --> 00:17:38.329
But we need to understand that pain should not become our theology.
00:17:38.890 --> 00:17:40.490
So let me say that again.
00:17:40.730 --> 00:17:49.049
Pain deserves attention, wounds deserve appropriate care, wrongdoing deserves accountability, people of God.
00:17:49.529 --> 00:17:59.769
But our understanding of God must be grounded in his revealed character and his word, not just his word, his holy word.
00:18:00.490 --> 00:18:05.210
And this is where the church has a responsibility.
00:18:05.690 --> 00:18:10.490
We cannot tell wounded people to simply get over what happened.
00:18:10.809 --> 00:18:14.009
We must create environments, uh-huh.
00:18:14.329 --> 00:18:15.450
I'm gonna say that again.
00:18:15.690 --> 00:18:36.650
We as the church and the body of Christ must create environments, uh-huh, where truth can be examined, legitimate wrongdoings can be addressed, people need counseling, they need to unpack, they need to go through the healing process and deliverance process, the restoration process.
00:18:38.009 --> 00:18:42.809
And people can pursue healing without being silenced.
00:18:44.170 --> 00:18:44.809
My God.
00:18:45.289 --> 00:18:47.370
Let me hit you with another teaching point.
00:18:48.090 --> 00:18:58.410
Disappointment with religious leadership should lead us to examine the leadership, not automatically abandon Christ.
00:18:59.130 --> 00:19:06.809
There is a difference between rejecting spiritual abuse and rejecting biblical truth, people of God.
00:19:07.370 --> 00:19:15.210
And the church must have the maturity to recognize that very difference.
00:19:15.529 --> 00:19:16.890
Okay, all right.
00:19:17.049 --> 00:19:21.849
Um Apostle Herbie's gonna pick up his and talk with you all here.
00:19:22.650 --> 00:19:24.410
Give him just a second here.
00:19:24.650 --> 00:19:25.289
Uh-huh.
00:19:27.849 --> 00:19:31.849
False false foundation exposed.
00:19:33.049 --> 00:19:36.009
No, no, no.
00:19:39.529 --> 00:19:42.329
Let's deal with foundations.
00:19:43.769 --> 00:19:56.809
Because the building can look beautiful on the outside and still have serious structural problems underneath, and the same thing can happen spiritually.
00:19:58.329 --> 00:20:40.730
Some can attend church for years, they can know the songs, they can understand church language, they can participate in ministry activities, and yet when serious opposition comes, they discover they discover that their faith was built more upon personalities, tradition, or emotion, experience that than upon Christ.
00:20:41.690 --> 00:20:44.650
That's why discipleship matters.
00:20:45.210 --> 00:20:49.049
Let's go to the word of Jesus.
00:20:50.490 --> 00:20:58.889
When you read Matthew chapter seven, verse twenty-four to twenty-seven.
00:21:00.569 --> 00:21:23.369
Therefore, whoever whoever therefore whoever hear these saying of mine and note them, I will I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
00:21:27.609 --> 00:21:43.609
Twenty-five said and the rain descended, and the flood came, and the wind blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was foundation upon a rock, was founded upon a rock.
00:21:46.250 --> 00:21:47.049
26.
00:21:47.450 --> 00:22:01.450
And everyone, everyone that heared this saying of mine, and do them not shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand.
00:22:01.609 --> 00:22:10.809
27 say, and the rain descended, and the flood came, and the wind blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell.
00:22:11.049 --> 00:22:15.849
A great a great was the fall of it.
00:22:18.250 --> 00:22:22.329
The two the two foundational.
00:22:24.490 --> 00:22:33.849
So everyone, so everyone who hears, who hear these words of mind and act on them will be like a wise man.
00:22:34.730 --> 00:22:39.129
A far-sided, practical, and sensible man.
00:22:44.809 --> 00:23:10.329
Um sensible man, a stupid man, who a foolish, stupid man, and everyone who hears who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be will be like a foolish man.
00:23:18.089 --> 00:23:29.289
When Jesus had finished speaking these words on the mountain, the crowd was astonished and overwhelmed at his teaching.
00:23:31.049 --> 00:23:31.369
Okay.
00:23:35.609 --> 00:23:49.529
Now, now this is powerful because Jesus described two buildings, both both build houses, both experience storm, both encounter rain, wind, and flood.
00:23:49.769 --> 00:23:52.089
But only one house remains standing.
00:23:52.329 --> 00:23:52.889
Why?
00:23:53.289 --> 00:23:58.889
Because the difference was not the appearance of the house, the difference was the foundation.
00:23:59.129 --> 00:24:00.970
And notice something else.
00:24:01.129 --> 00:24:12.410
Jesus did not say the wise builder was wise builder, was the person who merely heard his words.
00:24:13.129 --> 00:24:14.650
He said the wise.
00:24:15.930 --> 00:24:22.329
Bela was a person who heared his words and put them into practice.
00:24:22.650 --> 00:24:23.210
Application.
00:24:23.450 --> 00:24:24.329
Application.
00:24:25.369 --> 00:24:28.730
That is that is discipleship.
00:24:28.889 --> 00:24:38.089
Discipleship is not merely accumulating biblical information.
00:24:38.490 --> 00:24:45.049
It is allowing biblical truth to govern how we live.
00:24:46.650 --> 00:24:50.329
You can know scriptures and still refuse to obey it.
00:24:50.809 --> 00:24:56.490
You can attend church and still resist spiritual formation.
00:24:57.289 --> 00:25:03.289
You can admire a preacher and never develop a personal relationship with Christ.
00:25:03.849 --> 00:25:13.529
And when your faith depends entirely upon upon a personality, what happens when that personality fails?
00:25:18.009 --> 00:25:27.129
When your fail depends, when your faith depends entirely upon emotional experience, what happens when you do not feel anything?
00:25:27.690 --> 00:25:36.089
When your faith depends entirely upon fabrical circumstances, what happens when adversity comes?
00:25:36.329 --> 00:25:39.049
That's why we must build correctly.
00:25:42.650 --> 00:25:45.129
The four false foundations.
00:26:02.410 --> 00:26:10.569
We cannot establish doctrine based upon based only upon what we like or dislike.
00:26:11.129 --> 00:26:25.529
Then we have charismatic personalities, spiritual leaders can teach, mentor, and equip us, but no leader should replace Christ as the foundation.
00:26:26.650 --> 00:26:36.250
Religious tradition, traditions number four, traditions should be examined in light of scriptures.
00:26:37.609 --> 00:26:44.009
Longevity alone does not establish biblical authority.
00:26:44.730 --> 00:26:50.809
You see, the teaching point is storms, storms do not create weak foundations.
00:26:57.529 --> 00:27:07.450
When someone discovers that a foundation was falkled, the answer is never necessary to abandon the entire building.
00:27:07.690 --> 00:27:14.650
Sometimes the answer is to remove what was unsung and rebuilt correctly.
00:27:16.250 --> 00:27:20.329
That is what biblical discipleship help us do.
00:27:21.049 --> 00:27:22.490
That's powerful right there.
00:27:22.650 --> 00:27:23.210
That's powerful.
00:27:23.930 --> 00:27:25.450
Can I tag in the apostle?
00:27:26.089 --> 00:27:37.609
Okay, what he just talked about, just just sitting here thinking and listening to Apostle Herbie talking about that the storms did not create the weak foundation, it just revealed it.
00:27:37.849 --> 00:27:52.809
So, men and women of God, I want to especially to pause right here and to really talk to the hearts of leaders that are senior leaders, that are established leaders, and that are emerging leaders that are going to listen to this podcast.
00:27:52.970 --> 00:27:54.650
Hear me when I say this.
00:27:55.529 --> 00:28:06.970
Every time Apostle Herbie and I have come up against much adversity, there has been a greater glory that has descended upon us.
00:28:07.369 --> 00:28:09.609
I want to encourage you all.
00:28:09.930 --> 00:28:33.049
Every time there has been a Jezebel and a Judas sitting at our table that should have been a part of the tribe, or or those that that love you because of who you are as a leader, and as long as they were under the mantle to try to or attempt to or to pray for uh some of the oil off of the head of leadership.
00:28:33.289 --> 00:28:36.250
This is for this is this is gonna bless somebody right here.
00:28:36.650 --> 00:28:45.369
It was okay, but then the witch begins to manifest, and there's jealousy, and there's there's that they will get because this has happened to us.
00:28:45.450 --> 00:28:46.329
I'm gonna expose it.
00:28:46.490 --> 00:28:48.490
This has happened to Apostle Herbie and I.
00:28:48.650 --> 00:29:00.089
That people will get to a place where they will talk to the the those that are a part of your church and your ministries and start telling them they're not they're not gonna do a pastor's appreciation.
00:29:00.250 --> 00:29:05.609
You all could do it if you want to, and and questioning about how much tithe and offering they're giving.
00:29:05.769 --> 00:29:15.289
And and this and the sad thing about this is that the witch, Jezebel, uh male or female, never understood when you are a seer, when you are a nabi.
00:29:15.529 --> 00:29:38.250
I can go into these, I can tell you about the prophet, the prophetic clothes, but when God has already given you the governance over these demonic spirits that sit at your table as Jezebels, witches, and warlocks and Judases, and they don't even understand that God already exposed it, but in just like in the book of Job, somebody always comes back to tell it.
00:29:38.410 --> 00:29:41.210
Confirmation has always come back to Apostle Herbert.
00:29:41.609 --> 00:29:42.809
So why am I saying that?
00:29:43.049 --> 00:29:55.690
Because we have had people a part of the tribe that God has called us to govern and globally, and what has happened is that we always see the witches before they manifest, male and female.
00:29:55.849 --> 00:30:16.250
We already know the hearts before they manifest, but we try to give them the opportunity to repent and get it right, but instead they want to be tossed to and fro and go from church to church to church, leader to leader to leader, but never truly submitting to the spiritual authority or grace upon the head of leaders.
00:30:16.569 --> 00:30:27.769
By God, when someone discovers that, they discover that that person is a faulty foundation, and then we begin to understand.
00:30:27.930 --> 00:30:33.289
You don't abandon the call, like Apostle Herbie said, don't abandon the entire building.
00:30:33.450 --> 00:30:38.889
We don't abandon the call, we begin to pursue God even the more.
00:30:39.210 --> 00:30:43.450
My God, we begin to go after him even harder than before.
00:30:43.690 --> 00:30:55.769
We still love them, we still pray for them, male and female, but we have to be Abrahamic and cut the lots loose, and there will be no reconnecting unless God says it.
00:30:55.930 --> 00:30:57.369
And hear me what I say.
00:30:57.690 --> 00:31:01.930
Stop trying to resurrect relationships and people, leaders.
00:31:02.089 --> 00:31:04.650
I'm talking to every leader that's gonna hear this podcast.
00:31:04.809 --> 00:31:09.289
Stop trying to go back to people that you know were a problem.
00:31:09.930 --> 00:31:14.970
Let them go, love them, release them, and keep building, baby.
00:31:15.049 --> 00:31:16.970
There is much to do for the kingdom.
00:31:17.210 --> 00:31:27.849
All right, what real discipleship looks like, now that we've addressed spiritual wounds and faulty foundations, let's discuss the solution.
00:31:28.009 --> 00:31:30.730
What does real discipleship look like, you say?
00:31:31.049 --> 00:31:35.450
Because discipleship is not merely attending services, people of God.
00:31:35.609 --> 00:31:43.210
It's not collecting religious titles, and it's not simply following the personalities of a spiritual leader.
00:31:43.529 --> 00:31:47.369
Discipleship is a life of following Jesus Christ.
00:31:47.529 --> 00:31:58.250
I tell people all the time, Apostle Herbie and I, discipleship is being a lifetime learner of the things of God, of following the blueprint that God has left us.
00:31:58.569 --> 00:32:02.569
This is a lifetime for every man and woman of God.
00:32:02.650 --> 00:32:04.650
I don't care what your title is.
00:32:04.970 --> 00:32:05.849
You hear me?
00:32:06.009 --> 00:32:08.569
We are servants with a towel first.
00:32:09.450 --> 00:32:21.849
And one thing about what we've seen, because we mentor and we've been doing this over 15 years, but when I tell you it blew up the last uh about eight, six, eight years here, eight years, that God has really blown our mind for discipleship.
00:32:22.089 --> 00:32:29.369
My God, the leaders that we cover under our apostolic arm globally, the things that God is doing just it break, you know what?
00:32:29.609 --> 00:32:40.569
It it humbles us and it keeps us in a position of humility under the Almighty God, under his mighty hand.
00:32:40.889 --> 00:32:43.849
We look at Luke chapter 9 and verse 23.
00:32:44.089 --> 00:32:56.650
And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily, not when I feel like it.
00:32:56.809 --> 00:33:05.129
Come on, not when I think about it, not when I, well, I gotta I got a good uh refund check this year, so I'm gonna praise God.
00:33:05.369 --> 00:33:08.569
Or or I'm working too hard, but I'm gonna still praise God.
00:33:08.809 --> 00:33:10.490
Or I've got a family function.
00:33:10.650 --> 00:33:14.089
Okay, we got to we got to figure out right now, people of God.
00:33:14.250 --> 00:33:16.089
Are we gonna put God first?
00:33:16.490 --> 00:33:19.930
Are we gonna pick and choose when we're gonna serve God?
00:33:20.250 --> 00:33:23.930
Because I'm here to tell you, leaders, it's time to let it go.
00:33:24.089 --> 00:33:30.889
You cannot pump and prime and resuscitate and drag people into a place where they're not ready to go with God.
00:33:31.049 --> 00:33:32.329
Love them and leave them.
00:33:32.490 --> 00:33:34.410
Continue to pray, but keep on moving.
00:33:34.569 --> 00:33:36.650
You cannot become immobile.
00:33:37.049 --> 00:33:42.490
You have to keep pursuing God no matter what it costs you, no matter who it costs you.
00:33:42.650 --> 00:33:48.009
Two of my favorite songs, I'm gonna put this in there, is Don't Play With Me and I Move Different Now.
00:33:48.250 --> 00:33:55.210
2026 has really taken my husband and I to another dimension in the things of God.
00:33:55.369 --> 00:34:01.769
And I'm here to tell you all right now that we are sold out for God.
00:34:02.170 --> 00:34:08.250
We don't have time for distractions, we have time to do and be about our father's business.
00:34:08.410 --> 00:34:13.849
And people of God, we would encourage you and tell you that it would behoove you to do the same thing.
00:34:14.010 --> 00:34:15.450
Don't get distracted.
00:34:15.930 --> 00:34:18.490
So let's think about a teaching expansion right here.
00:34:18.730 --> 00:34:25.769
Notice three instructions Jesus gives deny yourself, take up your cross daily, not every now and then.
00:34:25.849 --> 00:34:28.170
This is a daily thing, and follow him.
00:34:28.809 --> 00:34:35.210
That is not a passive Christianity, that is intentional discipleship.
00:34:35.369 --> 00:34:36.809
I'm gonna say that again, apostle.
00:34:37.369 --> 00:34:40.490
That is intentional discipleship.
00:34:41.050 --> 00:34:46.170
And I want to give you three kingdom keys to rebuilding faith correctly.
00:34:46.410 --> 00:34:50.329
All right, key number one surrender.
00:34:50.889 --> 00:34:52.090
That's the problem right there.
00:34:52.170 --> 00:34:53.289
We don't want to surrender.
00:34:55.130 --> 00:34:56.809
We want to do our own thing.
00:34:57.289 --> 00:35:00.170
We want to get offended when when pastors say something.
00:35:00.809 --> 00:35:03.930
But but every Sunday we're coming back with the same problem.
00:35:04.970 --> 00:35:07.849
Every week we we need counseling for the same thing.
00:35:08.410 --> 00:35:14.410
We get delivered Sunday, next Sunday comes around, we rent back on the altar trying to get delivered every Sunday for the same thing.
00:35:14.970 --> 00:35:22.090
If we would just totally surrender to God, that is the first requirement, people of God, to discipleship.
00:35:22.329 --> 00:35:23.530
True discipleship.
00:35:24.010 --> 00:35:24.570
All right?
00:35:24.889 --> 00:35:30.090
We must be willing to submit our assumptions, our preferences.
00:35:30.410 --> 00:35:32.410
This good one right here, y'all catch this.
00:35:32.650 --> 00:35:38.730
Our attitudes, boom, there it is, and decisions to the authority of Christ.
00:35:39.289 --> 00:35:45.130
Surrender does not mean abandoning wisdom or accepting mistreatment, people of God.
00:35:45.769 --> 00:35:50.010
It means recognizing that Jesus is Lord.
00:35:50.250 --> 00:35:56.090
And if Jesus is Lord, then his word must have authority over how we live.
00:35:56.410 --> 00:35:57.050
My God.
00:35:57.930 --> 00:35:58.809
Intentional.
00:35:58.970 --> 00:36:00.090
That's good right there.
00:36:00.410 --> 00:36:01.050
All right.
00:36:01.930 --> 00:36:04.170
Second key is transformation.
00:36:04.250 --> 00:36:05.450
All right, you need to surrender.
00:36:05.530 --> 00:36:07.289
All right, now we want transformation.
00:36:07.849 --> 00:36:10.410
The second requirement is transformation.
00:36:10.730 --> 00:36:13.130
Real discipleship produces change.
00:36:13.289 --> 00:36:15.210
And I am so glad to say it, Apostle.
00:36:15.289 --> 00:36:16.250
We see it, don't we?
00:36:16.410 --> 00:36:19.690
We see it in every disciple that's under our covering.
00:36:19.849 --> 00:36:21.849
We see, we see, baby, we see the trans.
00:36:22.170 --> 00:36:24.170
Listen, we see the surrender.
00:36:24.409 --> 00:36:30.730
We see, and another one, it listen, we see obedience that goes along with that third key we're gonna tell y'all about.
00:36:31.050 --> 00:36:33.449
So we begin to understand that.
00:36:33.690 --> 00:36:36.170
Real discipleship produces change.
00:36:36.409 --> 00:36:48.570
It should never affect our character, our relationship, our conduct, our speech, our decisions, our treatment, or our treatment of other people.
00:36:49.130 --> 00:36:55.369
We cannot claim to be growing spiritually while refusing to examine the fruit of our lives.
00:36:55.449 --> 00:36:56.650
I'm gonna leave that right now.
00:36:56.969 --> 00:36:57.849
That's good.
00:36:58.250 --> 00:37:02.570
Transformation is not simply changing religious language.
00:37:03.769 --> 00:37:05.929
People practice all the time and speak in tongues.
00:37:06.090 --> 00:37:08.170
Don't it doesn't mean they're tongues from God.
00:37:08.570 --> 00:37:12.809
We have people right here speaking in tongues, speaking in tongues, speaking in tongues, speaking in tongues, speaking in tongues.
00:37:12.889 --> 00:37:22.570
But they still lying, they still cussing, they still fornicating, they still backbiting, they still gossiping, they still lying on Christ, other fellow brothers and sisters in the church.
00:37:22.730 --> 00:37:24.889
I'm gonna leave that right there on the altar too.
00:37:25.849 --> 00:37:29.210
It is becoming more Christ-like, period.
00:37:29.369 --> 00:37:30.650
That's what it's about.
00:37:31.050 --> 00:37:32.809
That's the transformation.
00:37:33.210 --> 00:37:39.929
We need to see the characteristics and the attributes of Jesus Christ made evident in our life.
00:37:40.009 --> 00:37:45.130
It's not about what we say, what we teach, and what we preach, but it's about what and how we live.
00:37:45.369 --> 00:37:47.690
The third key is accountability.
00:37:48.170 --> 00:37:48.650
Uh-huh.
00:37:48.969 --> 00:37:51.929
The third requirement is accountability, people God.
00:37:52.090 --> 00:37:54.969
And accountability is often misunderstood.
00:37:55.210 --> 00:37:58.329
Accountability is not control, okay?
00:37:58.570 --> 00:38:04.650
It is not manipulation, and it is not questioning loyalty to a leader.
00:38:04.969 --> 00:38:08.570
Healthy biblical accountability involves correction.
00:38:09.130 --> 00:38:15.849
If, listen, Apostle Herbert and I would tell people quick, and we love them, Lord knows we love, we love everyone.
00:38:16.090 --> 00:38:21.130
But if we cannot correct you and you are a part of our ministries, then guess what?
00:38:21.289 --> 00:38:22.489
We we can't do nothing.
00:38:22.650 --> 00:38:25.449
We can't do nothing else because you're gonna always get offended.
00:38:25.610 --> 00:38:31.050
And I'm gonna be honest with you, we're called the senior leaders, established leaders, and emerging leaders.
00:38:31.210 --> 00:38:41.369
That means we do not have time to, because we know our mandate, and I'm not trying to be braggadocious, I'm not trying to be off rude, I'm not trying to be bigoty or any of those things.
00:38:41.530 --> 00:38:42.489
I'm being real.
00:38:42.730 --> 00:38:47.289
When you know your grace place, you know who God has called you to, then you know what?
00:38:47.530 --> 00:38:52.090
You allow people to be assigned to leaders that can deal with it.
00:38:52.170 --> 00:38:57.449
Maybe somebody that's called to the children's ministry, someone called to the youth ministry, okay.
00:38:57.530 --> 00:38:58.650
All of these different places.
00:38:58.809 --> 00:39:05.929
We can we can horizontally train and equip and teach those different, those different levels in the body of Christ.
00:39:06.090 --> 00:39:12.809
However, we know where our mandate is and we know our grace place for who God has called us to be.
00:39:13.449 --> 00:39:17.449
So we know that, and we we walk in it accordingly, okay?
00:39:17.769 --> 00:39:26.009
So that healthy it's if it involves accountability, the healthy biblical accountability involves correction, people of God.
00:39:26.329 --> 00:39:28.090
Responsibility, uh-huh.
00:39:28.250 --> 00:39:33.769
Accountability, responsibility, transparency, humility, and a willingness to grow.
00:39:33.929 --> 00:39:34.809
You gotta want to grow.
00:39:34.889 --> 00:39:35.769
We can't make you grow.
00:39:35.849 --> 00:39:36.650
No leader can.
00:39:37.130 --> 00:39:40.409
It also means that leaders themselves must be accountable.
00:39:40.570 --> 00:39:41.849
We have to be held accountable.
00:39:41.929 --> 00:39:44.489
I tell people this all the time, Apostle Herbie and I.
00:39:44.730 --> 00:39:49.210
No spiritual title places someone above biblical standard.
00:39:50.250 --> 00:39:50.650
Period.
00:39:50.809 --> 00:39:53.690
All of us must be submissive to God.
00:39:53.929 --> 00:39:57.050
We must have someone holding us accountable as leaders.
00:39:57.210 --> 00:39:58.570
Come on, somebody.
00:39:58.889 --> 00:40:12.329
And a healthy discipleship environment should encourage believers to study scripture, ask sincere questions, develop discernment, and mature in their personal relationship with God.
00:40:12.570 --> 00:40:14.409
So let's think of a teaching point right here.
00:40:14.650 --> 00:40:22.969
Discipleship does not produce dependency upon response personalities, it develops maturity in Christ, people of God.
00:40:23.210 --> 00:40:28.170
And this is where we must build, rebuild, excuse me, correctly.
00:40:28.489 --> 00:40:45.369
The answer to shallow faith is not pretending questions don't exist, the answer is deeper teaching, sound doctrine, healthy accountability, and a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.
00:40:45.690 --> 00:40:46.329
My God.
00:40:47.050 --> 00:40:50.570
So then we begin to understand something, people of God.
00:40:50.969 --> 00:40:52.969
Trying to see how far we don't got here.
00:40:53.130 --> 00:40:55.610
Um thinking, clear my throat.
00:40:56.730 --> 00:40:57.849
All right, people of God.
00:40:57.929 --> 00:40:59.130
I apologize.
00:41:00.570 --> 00:41:06.650
Okay, apostle, you want to I'll you want to flow from there and then I'll come back in.
00:41:07.289 --> 00:41:08.409
Drink some water.
00:41:10.329 --> 00:41:20.409
As you bring today, as you bring today's conversation to a close, I want to speak directly to someone who may be questioning their faith.
00:41:20.650 --> 00:41:33.849
Perhaps you have been disappointed, perhaps you have experienced church, perhaps you have witnessed things that made you question what you what you were taught.
00:41:34.090 --> 00:41:42.329
I want you to understand that sincere questions do not automatically disqualify you from going spiritually.
00:41:42.489 --> 00:41:56.650
But I also want to encourage you not to make permanent conclusion about God solely solely from solely from the failure of people.
00:41:57.210 --> 00:42:40.489
Examine what you have been taught, search, search the scriptures, seek wise and trustworthy guidance, address wounds that need healing, and above all, make sure your foundation is in Jesus Christ, because the goal is not merely to dismantle what was wrong, the goal is to rebuild upon what is right, and the church and the church and the church let me say this we must do better at at discipline people.
00:42:41.369 --> 00:43:06.009
We must create environments where truth is taught accurately, where question can be addressed with responsibility, and where spiritual authority is exercised with integrity, because healthy discipleship produces mature believers, and mature believers are better equipped to stand when storms come.
00:43:12.730 --> 00:43:22.009
Remember, remember, discipleship build foundation, popularity builds crowd, there is a difference.
00:43:24.489 --> 00:43:32.730
Okay, so let's let's think about what we just came to you with this morning for this message.
00:43:33.130 --> 00:43:41.690
So, of course, the title is Deconstruction versus Discipleship: Rebuilding Faith the Right Way, people of God.
00:43:41.929 --> 00:43:45.369
Of course, this as we've told you, we're still in season six.
00:43:45.610 --> 00:43:48.250
We're dealing with voices of the church.
00:43:48.570 --> 00:43:52.489
It's going to be this whole year in a divided world.
00:43:52.809 --> 00:43:56.489
The theme is rebuilding faith on a biblical foundation.
00:43:56.730 --> 00:44:07.530
Our key scriptures for today is Proverbs 3, verse 5 through 6, Matthew chapter 7, verse 24 to 27.
00:44:07.769 --> 00:44:10.730
And Apostle also read for you verse 28.
00:44:10.809 --> 00:44:13.289
Um, he was just saying what happened after.
00:44:13.530 --> 00:44:16.489
And also Luke chapter 9, verse 23.
00:44:17.610 --> 00:44:31.769
Now, the main quote for today that we will leave with you is this that storms do not create that we want you to know that storms do not create weak foundations, they reveal them.
00:44:31.929 --> 00:44:34.170
That's powerful, right there, people of God.
00:44:34.889 --> 00:44:43.929
So in this episode, we examine the growing conversation surrounding faith deconstruction and the importance of biblical discipleship.
00:44:44.090 --> 00:44:55.610
We address church hurt, leadership, failures, religious traditions, and the danger of building faith upon personalities rather than Jesus Christ.
00:44:55.929 --> 00:45:04.409
We also explore the three essential elements of discipleship, which are surrender, transformation, and accountability.
00:45:04.730 --> 00:45:12.250
The central message is that questioning faulty teaching does not have to mean abandoning Christ.
00:45:12.570 --> 00:45:14.730
Faith can be examined, people of God.
00:45:14.809 --> 00:45:23.769
It can, and it's only going to be strength, it's only going to help your faith be strengthened and rebuilt upon a sound biblical foundation.
00:45:24.090 --> 00:45:31.530
So as we reflect on today, there are four things here that we need to ask ourselves, people of God.
00:45:31.769 --> 00:45:33.369
Reflect and respond.
00:45:33.690 --> 00:45:38.889
And look at it this way: number one is this, okay?
00:45:39.769 --> 00:45:44.250
Ask yourself, what is my faith truly built upon?
00:45:44.969 --> 00:45:50.250
Christ, tradition, emotions, or personalities?
00:45:50.730 --> 00:45:58.409
And when it talks about personalities, am I drawn to a leader because they have a big social media following?
00:45:58.730 --> 00:46:02.730
Am I drawn to a leader because they may be well known?
00:46:03.050 --> 00:46:21.050
Because we have to pray for the televangel televangel televangelism that has been going on, you know, back years ago when there were a lot of wonderful men and women of God that fallen prey to the Prosperity gospel, and so not all of them, but we still have to keep them lifted in prayer.
00:46:21.210 --> 00:46:29.690
So we need to make sure that we're not drawn to an image rather than being drawn to the glory of God upon a man or a woman of God's life.
00:46:29.929 --> 00:46:30.250
Okay.
00:46:30.489 --> 00:46:34.809
Another thing we need to ask, and it's going to be a little hard sometimes.
00:46:35.050 --> 00:46:37.449
We have to have painful experiences.
00:46:38.009 --> 00:46:45.210
Ask yourself, has have painful experiences influence how I understand the character of God.
00:46:46.009 --> 00:47:10.650
Unhealed wounds can cause us to always abort our destiny, to walk away from leaders, churches, ministries, people that God has assigned to help us grow and go to the next level, or even become someone as a Jonathan and David, that is a lifetime that changes your very trajectory, men and women of God.
00:47:10.809 --> 00:47:11.769
Be mindful.
00:47:12.409 --> 00:47:25.610
And be mindful of those that bring the bone to try to cause discord and try to always find a problem with your leader or even a past leader or even a future leader, but they always want you to worship them.
00:47:25.690 --> 00:47:26.650
That is a Jezebel.
00:47:26.809 --> 00:47:32.090
I don't care if they're male or female, because they desire what you had with your leader for themselves.
00:47:32.250 --> 00:47:33.130
That's jealousy.
00:47:33.289 --> 00:47:37.050
And you know, your leader is not, and and and I can tell you from experience.
00:47:37.130 --> 00:47:39.130
I'm just gonna drop it like this to you.
00:47:39.289 --> 00:47:42.329
I can tell you from experience, my husband can tell you from experience.
00:47:42.570 --> 00:47:59.050
I know that there have been situations in the past where I have had the Jezebel spirits, I have had the ones who have come, I'm being transparent, that have come and tried to say things about others that were a part of our ministries.
00:47:59.289 --> 00:48:06.969
But, you know, it's it is it is very uh telling discernment and God had already shown us and we knew.
00:48:07.289 --> 00:48:22.409
But the same person that was doing all of that is the same person now that is trying to hold those people or persons hostage, and those are the ones because they desired the relationship that you had or have with someone or that you may have.
00:48:22.730 --> 00:48:24.730
It's called jealousy and envy.
00:48:24.969 --> 00:48:34.570
The third thing is we need to ask ourselves Am I actively growing as a disciple or am I simply participating in religious activities?
00:48:34.809 --> 00:48:41.769
The fourth thing, what are ask yourselves, what areas of my spiritual foundation need to be strengthened?
00:48:41.929 --> 00:48:43.369
Ask yourselves that.
00:48:43.849 --> 00:48:52.009
Okay, the activation question is this this week, conduct a personal spiritual foundation assessment.
00:48:52.409 --> 00:49:01.929
Okay, examine one belief, practice, or expectation that has shaped your Christian walk.
00:49:02.650 --> 00:49:04.009
Search the scriptures.
00:49:04.809 --> 00:49:05.769
Why are you doing this?
00:49:05.929 --> 00:49:08.489
You need to see does it align with the word of God?
00:49:08.730 --> 00:49:14.329
Because, see, some of this stuff we're doing is not even biblical, and we still call ourselves Christians.
00:49:14.489 --> 00:49:15.289
And because why?
00:49:15.369 --> 00:49:18.250
Because we don't know any better until we search out the word of God.
00:49:18.570 --> 00:49:30.730
Consider whether that belief is rooted in biblical truth or merely something you've inherited that's been passed down through different generations and families, leaders, and teachings.
00:49:30.809 --> 00:49:49.929
That's why a lot of times you probably have heard me, those that have been around Apostle Herbie and I for a while and some years that really know us, that have sat in different trainings and equippings and things like that with us, you'll hear us say that we need to get to a place in God that we are unlearned to be relearned by the Holy Spirit.
00:49:50.170 --> 00:49:50.489
Okay.
00:49:51.210 --> 00:50:02.009
And then ask yourselves, and where correct and ask yourself, and where is there a need for or correction in my life?
00:50:02.170 --> 00:50:07.050
That it where what area is it necessary and be willing to realign.
00:50:07.449 --> 00:50:14.489
Remember, don't just dismantle, but we need to discern, we need to rebuild, and we need to grow.
00:50:14.730 --> 00:50:15.050
Okay.
00:50:15.849 --> 00:50:17.929
All right, we've gotten to the QA.
00:50:18.009 --> 00:50:21.769
We've got our four questions here before our closing declarations.
00:50:21.929 --> 00:50:23.530
All right, people of God, this morning.
00:50:23.769 --> 00:50:29.929
All right, apostle, we'll do you hit one, now we'll go back and forth.
00:50:38.969 --> 00:50:42.090
Question my faith wrong.
00:50:42.730 --> 00:50:44.889
You're asking yourself, is it yes?
00:50:47.130 --> 00:50:47.449
No.
00:50:48.889 --> 00:50:55.289
Asking sincere question is not ultimately rebellion or unbelief.
00:50:59.929 --> 00:51:06.489
Question is can create opportunities for deeper understanding.
00:51:06.809 --> 00:51:10.409
The important issue is how we approach those questions.
00:51:10.570 --> 00:51:26.329
We genuinely, I mean, are we genuinely seeking truth, or have we already decided that we will reject any answer that challenge our assumption?
00:51:26.889 --> 00:51:37.050
Healthy discipleship encourages biblical examination, spiritual maturity, and a willingness to learn.
00:51:37.530 --> 00:51:38.170
All right.
00:51:38.409 --> 00:51:40.650
Second thing, QA.
00:51:41.050 --> 00:51:47.050
What is the difference between healthy deconstruction and abandoning biblical truth?
00:51:47.210 --> 00:51:57.449
The answer is this healthy examination involves questioning teachings, traditions, or practices that may not align with scripture.
00:51:57.769 --> 00:52:09.769
For example, people of God, someone may discover that a particular religious tradition was presented as a biblical command when scripture does not actually require it.
00:52:10.090 --> 00:52:13.769
Examining and correcting that belief can be healthy.
00:52:13.849 --> 00:52:17.610
That's a rebuilding, okay, on scripture, solid foundation.
00:52:17.929 --> 00:52:28.650
But abandoning essential Christian teachings without carefully examining the biblical evidence is a different matter.
00:52:28.969 --> 00:52:38.409
And people of God, the goal should be to distinguish between what scripture teaches and what people may have added to it.
00:52:38.650 --> 00:52:40.009
That's powerful right there.
00:52:40.170 --> 00:53:10.329
I've as I've gotten to be older, there's a lot that I hear and I know now through the years of just being raised in the church and and studying out scripture and the word of God and being taught that from a little child by my father and my mother, I have learned that there has been a lot that we may have heard years ago when we were younger, and you know, when children search and things like that right on through, that some things we've got to let go of and really rebuild on a solid foundation.
00:53:11.849 --> 00:53:17.449
How can how can someone rebuild their faith after a churchhood?
00:53:17.690 --> 00:53:26.250
The answer is rebuilding begins by acknowledging what happened rather than pretending it didn't matter.
00:53:27.130 --> 00:53:33.050
Where wrongdoing occurs, it should be addressed appropriately.
00:53:33.289 --> 00:53:52.969
Then the person can begin separating the failure of individual or in situations, institutions from the from the character and teaching of Jesus Christ.
00:53:53.289 --> 00:54:07.929
Study scriptures, finding trustworthy scriptures, communities, receiving appropriate support, and allowing time to heal can all be part of that process.
00:54:08.250 --> 00:54:16.489
Restoration should never acquire someone to return to an unsafe or abused environment.
00:54:16.730 --> 00:54:31.050
It's very important to have a trustworthy spiritual community, people of God, and to also have a Bible-based church or ministry and leaders that you are connected to and that have that cover you.
00:54:31.369 --> 00:54:31.690
Okay.
00:54:32.969 --> 00:54:39.929
And just like Apostle said, restoration should never require someone to return to an unsafe or abusive relationship.
00:54:40.170 --> 00:54:48.570
The fourth question here in the answer is this What are the strongest indication indicators of healthy discipleship?
00:54:48.809 --> 00:54:49.130
Okay.
00:54:49.849 --> 00:54:54.329
The answer is this help healthy discipleship produces spiritual maturity.
00:54:54.570 --> 00:54:56.650
We are seeing that, and we are so thankful to God.
00:54:56.809 --> 00:55:03.130
To God be all the glory, to all the honor and the glory and the praise belong to God.
00:55:04.809 --> 00:55:05.449
Yeah.
00:55:06.170 --> 00:55:16.969
So healthy discipleship produces spiritual maturity, humility, biblical understanding, accountability, obedience, and Christ-like character.
00:55:17.289 --> 00:55:20.889
It encourages believers to know the word for themselves.
00:55:21.130 --> 00:55:24.489
It equips them to exercise discernment.
00:55:24.809 --> 00:55:29.130
It teaches them how to live out their faith.
00:55:29.369 --> 00:55:41.769
And it develops people who are increasingly dependent upon Christ rather than excessively dependent upon human personalities.
00:55:42.329 --> 00:55:47.530
That is the kind of discipleship the church must cultivate, people of God.
00:55:48.009 --> 00:55:54.730
In this closing declaration, and here it is that we're going to release right now.
00:55:56.730 --> 00:55:59.210
We need to begin to declare this, people of God.
00:55:59.369 --> 00:56:04.489
Start on today, start this morning, that my faith is rooted in Jesus Christ.
00:56:04.889 --> 00:56:08.250
My foundation is established upon his word.
00:56:08.889 --> 00:56:14.809
I will not allow disappointment to become the final authority over my faith.
00:56:15.050 --> 00:56:20.889
I will seek truth, pursue healing, and embrace spiritual maturity.
00:56:21.210 --> 00:56:29.289
I will surrender to Christ, grow through transformation, and remain accountable to biblical truth.
00:56:29.530 --> 00:56:31.849
I will not merely hear the word.
00:56:32.090 --> 00:56:34.409
I will become a doer of the word.
00:56:34.809 --> 00:56:43.130
And when the storms of life come, I will remain standing because my foundation is secure in Christ.
00:56:43.690 --> 00:56:45.849
In Jesus' name, we pray.
00:56:46.090 --> 00:56:46.570
Amen.
00:56:47.449 --> 00:56:54.329
And we want to thank you all for just coming to be with us here today on Let's Talk About It podcast.
00:56:54.489 --> 00:57:08.489
Of course, we are faith family and focus of RC and Ministries, where we are impacting and transforming lives globally, as well as One Sound Global Alliance, also known as OSGA, which is our apostolic network.
00:57:08.809 --> 00:57:13.769
And we're going to go ahead and we're going to say a closing prayer for the podcast.
00:57:14.090 --> 00:57:21.530
Father, we thank you for every word that has been spoken and every seed that has been planted during this time together.
00:57:21.849 --> 00:57:36.090
We pray that what has been released would not fall on hardened ground, but would produce wisdom, growth, healing, maturity, and transformation in the life of those listening.
00:57:36.409 --> 00:57:44.969
Lord, strengthen faith, restore families, refocus their minds and hearts back towards your will and your purpose.
00:57:45.210 --> 00:57:56.969
Give your people discernment, O God, for this hour and courage to stand in truth and grace to walk in obedience and submission.
00:57:57.530 --> 00:58:02.250
We pray for protection over every listener and their households.
00:58:02.570 --> 00:58:09.289
Cover them spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially.
00:58:09.769 --> 00:58:16.409
Let your peace rest upon them and let your hand guide them throughout this week.
00:58:16.730 --> 00:58:22.969
Father, help us to not only hear truth, but to apply it.
00:58:23.610 --> 00:58:40.250
Let us become disciplined disciples, wise stewards, loving family members, and kingdom-minded believers who reflect Christ well in every area of our life.
00:58:40.570 --> 00:58:46.570
We declare, O God, that no weapon formed against your people shall prosper.
00:58:46.809 --> 00:58:58.170
And we decree that divine alignment, stability, wisdom, and supernatural strength over every listener connected to this podcast.
00:58:58.489 --> 00:59:10.969
As we leave this episode, may your presence continue to go before us, O God, to strengthen us and to lead us according to your perfect will.
00:59:11.369 --> 00:59:13.929
In Jesus Christ's name we pray.
00:59:14.250 --> 00:59:16.090
Amen and amen.
00:59:16.409 --> 00:59:23.130
Now we want you all to stay focused, stay obedient, stay submissive to the will of God.
00:59:23.449 --> 00:59:28.009
Do not veer to the left nor to the right, but stay on the road called straight.
00:59:28.489 --> 00:59:32.650
This is not the season, people of God, to be wishy-washy.
00:59:33.050 --> 00:59:38.250
This is not the season to follow ungoverned voices.
00:59:38.650 --> 00:59:49.530
This, people of God, is not the time nor the season to fall prey to the plots, the plans, and the scheme of the enemy or the adversary.
00:59:49.690 --> 00:59:54.650
But this is the time to stand firm in the word of God and in the word of truth.
00:59:55.130 --> 00:59:58.329
Yes, we know much is going on, but you know what?
00:59:58.570 --> 01:00:04.250
We know a God that sits high and looks low.
01:00:04.570 --> 01:00:07.530
And God is yet in control, even in this.
01:00:08.090 --> 01:00:09.929
Join us next month.
01:00:10.090 --> 01:00:14.889
Of course, it's third Wednesday of every month at 6 a.m.
01:00:15.130 --> 01:00:21.530
Eastern Standard Time, is when our podcast drop on our YouTube channels, RCN Ministries Global TV.
01:00:21.769 --> 01:00:24.489
And our second channel is Apostle Rosemary.
01:00:24.889 --> 01:00:31.849
I think it's uh Collins Neverson, and it's RCNM and OSGA, if I'm not mistaken.
01:00:32.090 --> 01:00:34.969
And so I'm bad at that, y'all pray for me.
01:00:35.130 --> 01:00:38.090
And so next month we're going to deal with holiness.
01:00:38.329 --> 01:00:47.130
The episode is going to be episode eight of season six, and it's going to be titled Holiness and a Culture of Compromise.
01:00:47.449 --> 01:00:52.570
And the theme, people of God, is living set apart without legalism.
01:00:52.730 --> 01:00:54.170
Oh, it's going to be powerful.
01:00:54.329 --> 01:00:57.449
So make sure you guys tune in next month as all as well.
01:00:57.690 --> 01:00:59.369
We thank you all for tuning in.
01:00:59.449 --> 01:01:02.170
We thank you all for listening for joining us this morning.
01:01:02.329 --> 01:01:04.409
We love you guys and have a great rest of your day.
01:01:04.650 --> 01:01:06.650
Apostle Herbie, is there anything you want to add?
01:01:07.289 --> 01:01:07.610
Okay.
01:01:07.769 --> 01:01:08.170
All right.
01:01:08.329 --> 01:01:09.449
God bless you.
