Summary
The hosts discuss their recent group run and the challenges of allergies. They also reflect on the excitement and buzz of marathon training and the lack of a runner's high. They share their favorite breakfast spots and their experiences with different pancake houses. The conversation briefly touches on the New York City Marathon lottery and the difficulty of getting in. Finding a run group has become easier with the rise of social media and online communities. Runners can search on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to find local run groups. Local running stores and tri shops are also good resources for finding run groups. The Dallas Running Club (DRC) is a popular and diverse run group in Dallas. DRC offers paces for every level, from run-walk to elite runners. Run groups provide a sense of community, motivation, and support for runners. In this final part of the conversation, Miguel and Missy discuss Miguel's experience running a half marathon and his observations about the running community. They also talk about triathlons and the aggressive behavior of triathletes during the swim portion. The conversation then shifts to a discussion about their children and their gaming habits. They also briefly touch on online dating and headlamps for running. They end the conversation by expressing their gratitude for the feedback and questions they receive from listeners.
