ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Every day, 17 veterans die by suicide. In fact, the V.A. says it's the second-highest cause of death for veterans under age 45. September is Suicide Prevention Month, and we talked quite a bit about that earlier this month. But as the month wraps up, we want to focus in on one group of people: our veterans. Why do veterans experience such high rates of suicide? What can be done to help them? For more on that, we turn to Lindsey Gray, Suicide Prevention Manager at the Wounded Warrior Project.
