ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this episode, we sat down with Berma to talk about what it really takes to build a name in Toronto’s nightlife as a Nepali DJ. From his early journey to navigating a competitive scene, he shares the grind behind the music and the reality of staying consistent in the industry.
We dive into whether a DJ can truly sustain a living off DJing alone, the challenges that come with it, and what separates those who last from those who don’t. The conversation also explores how going back to Nepal helped him find his identity and shape his sound.
Beyond music, we get into football, the World Cup hype, and his loyalty to Arsenal, adding a personal side to the episode. We also talked about how Drake represents the city of Toronto on a global level, and why his music dominates the club scene—being one of the few artists everyone wants to hear no matter where they’re from.
