Coleen Greco:
welcome back to another episode of Joy Unleashed I’m your humble host Coleen Greco. Today I am so excited to have Hello Brad. How are you?
Brad Szollose:
It's been too long. What's it been three weeks, girl? years.
Coleen Greco:
I'm gonna start talking right which one is funnier? Which one do people have more fun on? Right like we can like started debate. We have like an American Idol voting system there but I just we could get up Simon
Brad Szollose:
Cowell over here I believe online
Coleen Greco:
I want you to just take a quick second and introduce yourself and then we're gonna get into some of your presentations because I have to hear that but go ahead and tell folks who you are and why we're so happy to be here today.
Brad Szollose:
My name is Brad Szollose. I was a child grew up in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. I've been an entrepreneur since I was 16 years of age in 1979. I've done a lot of crazy stuff in my life. Let's put it that way. Coleen got a taste in the green room before they started. My fourth company I took public on NASDAQ a little tiny startup that grew into a multi million dollar company got me in various magazines, including for Forbes magazine cranes. And they've walked away from all that stand up comedy for a little while. Wrote a book or two. One of them wanting my own podcast so with colleagues and when podcast is a weakened nation, so I think I am the poster child for joy and fun and creativity. That's why I want the show, right?
Coleen Greco:
Yeah, absolutely. That's the thing. I'm so glad that you're here because you're like what the essence of what everybody wants to do the thing that gets him to do the thing that they want to do, right because there's a lot of things I know for the first 26 years of my life, or I mean my professional life, not my actual life although other young it's great moisturizer and lighting. But for the first 26 years of my career, I was doing the thing I thought I was supposed to do. And because I had been doing it, I should get to doing it. Until you know everybody, at least on my end knows my story but you know, life happens my calling. Got really I feel like I got hit over the head with a frying pan. And so this is what I need to be doing and I love doing it. And so you had you had the opportunity to do both. So just an idea of like, you know what, what cost you a paycheck. Let's be real, right? You got soldier companies, you walked away with some sort of a paycheck. But why walk away and play in different areas and experiment? Well,
Brad Szollose:
let's go back and tell them a little bit. You know, I think everybody starts out life doing what they think they're supposed to get the good job and go in the right college. They get straight A's, and I wasn't raised like that. My father sat me down when I was like 10 the first generation born in United States from Hungary. So he sat me down and said, you know, son, you're gonna spend two thirds of your waking life working. It goes so you better figure out what the hell you like to do. Basically, put in my head at a very early age, figure out what you want to do that you like to do. So I was one of these kids that was highly creative, but I was also really smart. That when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s, that was kind of looked upon as if you were funny. You weren't seen as intelligent by a lot of people, but I was one unique person where I got A's
and B's in classmates dean's list a few times
and was joking all the time. Doing a lot of things and I have to thank my father for this and my mom. She was there understanding my creative side like a doctor of chiropractic medicine. And he just looked at me and thought that this kid's got his head in the clouds all the time. I got to teach him how to come back down to the teacher discipline. So my dad had me filling out a runner calendar before day Runner was a company and I had a wall calendar was everything I was supposed to do that week. So I was my calendars, bitch. But that's what it was. So I would write everything down and he went to do my chores on Tuesday and Thursday night. Saturday was this, you know, and so thank God for my parents because I can be I'm an Aquarius, and we can definitely be dreamers and my father just taught me he was great with figuring this out. He found that I was good at playing the drums. Fifth generation drummer and my family got the drum lessons every Saturday, private lesson. By the time I got in demand in my elementary and junior high years. I was way ahead of everybody else. You know, I was I was a young kid, sometimes with seniors playing right next to them because I was you know, my dad made sure I had advanced training. On summer I remember my father signed me up for summer class, you know, and back in the day summer class was punishment, but this wasn't punishment. He signed me up for art class on Wednesday nights. I was. I was in Boy Scouts. It was a well decorated Boy Scout. He was going hiking, doing all kinds of stuff. So my dad knew to keep this brain busy through activity. And if he didn't do that, I don't know where I'd be today, quite honestly. Because you know, I was never a business major in college. I didn't care about business. I didn't care about money, let's be honest. And what happened is I went to art college and then I got out they moved to New York City. Those first jobs were so you didn't get paid a lot in you. You had to work long hours. I decided I would do caricatures on the weekend. So I was making sometimes on the weekend I'd be making $300 in cash. Enough to rent the car for the weekend to do two to three gigs at Bar Mitzvahs, private parties, everybody, and then I freelance. You know, I started my first business at 16 Believe it or not, because my father made it so hard to ask for a $20 bill. So I met some friends. They were DJing and I was like, Okay, let's take this to another level. So we were DJing parties at 79. I was making $8 a night. playing drums sometimes in country clubs. Which is equivalent about 350 bucks a night. So entrepreneurial, bent about what I wanted to your city. I just wasn't making enough money to live and survive and do the things I wanted to do. So I went freelance at a very young, quick moment in my life. You know, like 26 years of age. I was freelance already having my own businesses. And then two businesses later, I started with my business partner Doug Klieg, and we were struggling for the first two years we are graphic designers and all of a sudden he walks in one day and he says, Hey, let's become an internet company. And I thought I was pretty savvy. And I said, What the hell's the internet? He basically showed me everything we started designing for the internet. Well, must have been a stroke of lightning because within 18 months, we had 60 employees. We had a billion dollars in financing and we took a company public and raise $7 billion in the NASDAQ. So oh, I you know, I'm one of those guys who didn't ever plan to be successful like that, that level and it happened. And all I can tell people were listening. Find what you really love to do. And then think of how you can manifest and make it bigger. And that's really what happened. Just let's go big or go home. You know, the 80s and 90s. Work hard and play hard and that's what happened and it gave me the freedom. Obviously the money to do some of the things I wanted to do later in life.
Coleen Greco:
So I'll, I'll bite because I know that there are people listening that are watching that are thinking this when you say go bigger, a lot of people think work harder.
Brad Szollose:
And I say no to say leverage your your ability because no one works harder than me. I mean I I'm the guy 90 hours a week, and I can do physical labor. You know, I'm not one of those people who shuts away from her. But the key to manifestation I learned is I actually tricked my business partners. They weren't non spiritual people. Brilliant spiritual stuff, meditating things like that. Somebody were struggling to make it with my company. They do. I set it for this and you know, we're just we're struggling every every dollar that goes in has to go back into the business. I said, you know, there's a book of success principles, by Napoleon. hill called Thinking Grow Rich. There's a book stressed. I didn't even have time to read that. So what I did is I picked one chapter and it was the mastermind. And I set my business partner said, Hey, let's close your eyes. And let's imagine what the company's gonna be like in three months. Yeah, it sounds hokey. Because they were these are guys who are like, what are you waiting for at? Work with me on this? So they would close your eyes and they wrote it down. And then having said don't tell me what you wrote down and said, Now imagine where the company is in six months. They write it down. Then I bring it back out. Now imagine what it would be wonderful to break it down into five years. And then I'd make a fold it up, put it in an envelope, put it away and it gives us once a month on a Friday. At three o'clock. Well, before you know it, someone knocked on her door. And it was Leslie was hearing the name and she said you gotta meet my fiance. He's in the business and I think he would love to see what you guys are doing. So David comes by a month later after we were married, walks in, sit down, watches us on the Saturday sees what we're doing. He said okay. He starts selling your business. And he decided he was going to sell Internet services and I looked at him and I said, David, if you can sell $1 million because back then it wasn't paying anything. I said it will not only make you head to head sales guy, I'll make you a partner. I'll make this video in nine months he did $1.4 million worth of internet sales following year 4.3 million in the following year 7.3 In the Europe just sales alone. And so my little company went from being a dog and David to another business partner that began and then we had about 60 employees. We had offices worldwide. And what was is this there's a point at which you manifest something. You have a very clear vision of what you want. You don't have clarity, nothing's gonna lose or you're listening and you're frustrated that your law of attraction isn't working or you're trying to manifest hitting that wall like ask yourself several questions. The first one is are you trying to manifest subconsciously someone else's dream? i For the longest time was trying to manifest a vision that will shut my father up because he's never gonna make a living as an artist. You're gonna get started the artist, so I was always trying to prove him wrong. Once I got rid of that, and said to myself, I'm gonna do this. I'm gonna do what I want to manifest for myself. That's when everything changed. The second thing you have to ask yourself, are you really wanting to do this or do you know a lot of times we'll work backwards and say, you know, if I did this assessment, then I could show this, when in reality we should come from this direction, knowing your passion. And then the third thing is you have to rely on the thing is your thoughts have limits. And so the probably for me, I'll give you a good example. I'm an artist. I'm a graphic designer. They're skilled at what I did. I trained, color typeface, you name it. I worked on in your imports, magazines. I've done things that are welded on the Jumbotron in stadiums, but I didn't have the knowledge to take us public to get us finance to get us that angel financing. I just asked the universe God whatever the meditation that you're using, to bring that to us it came into came into our arena and all of a sudden, people who could fill those gaps and nothing about there's a chart that people love to draw and it's a pirate circle, draw a tiny little slice that slice represents right next to that center slide. And that represents No. Like, there is something called brain surgery out there that I don't know how to do, but I know it exists. So what's the rest of the pie chart? What's the big me least? That's the stuff we don't know that we don't know exists? And, you know, a lot of people talk about that when you let go of your ego and your own belief of what you should achieve and the limits on that. Purely let go with it. Now enter into that realm of possibility. What is possible for you, the individual, where is your joy? Where's your passion? Where's your love? And once you start to discover that you can turn that into business.
Coleen Greco:
So okay, like I here's my happiness
Brad Szollose:
that's what I do a happy dance properly.
Coleen Greco:
Yeah. So, you know, I'm a mindset coach. Like I could just talk about this kind of stuff. All day long, because I think there's all kinds of there's a difference between your heart and your head. So many people reside in their head. And they also think that both I just asked for it. It's going to come on my timeline, which is never the case right God universe again, to your point like whatever source you connect with, for me, it's God. Whatever you connect with, like there's a timeline there and there is like it's a it's a very definitive time and no matter how much you want and beg and plead and cry about it, you're not going to influence that timeline. And so
how did you how did
getting to the point where you felt like you could just trust that that agenda, and that timeline was what was best for you?
Brad Szollose:
Well, let me go back to when Katie was first started, and we started to expand. I started to realize I had big limitations in my thought process. Now I grew up amongst farmers who were millionaires, so I didn't have this image in my head that multimillionaires guys are walking around with Top Hats and canes are you know, Scrooge McDuck cartoon? gold coins and, you know, billionaires hoarding money. You know, you've been watching too many scripts. But what I did start to analyze it much, much deeper. My relationship with money manifestation and things like that, and start to realize even wealthy people in the world. They don't sit around and go, How can I? How can I do it? It's as natural as breathing or whatever. You have to. I don't want anybody to have to wear shirt or whatever. I'm just pointing this out for myself. I realized I had to change my relationship with money. You know, I started to tell myself you know, $10,000 is just fake. That's not a lot of money. anybody listening knows $10,000 is a decent money. And so you have to start to play this game with your subconscious and yourself. And also, you have to you almost have to feel where you're stuck emotionally in your bodies, hearts, in your stomach, the intense in your head to get headaches at weird times. Where is it coming from? And so, when you start to do that, you can see your emotions are stuck. On certain things. You buy a house or somebody has obviously made a lot of money and they have jaguar in the front yard. What do you do? On average? Marty's saying, Wow, bless you someday. Because you can't manifest what you hate. You cannot manifest what you hate. to resent the IRS. Guess what's gonna happen. You're not gonna make the money that you can to pay those taxes to city we're so blessed to live in a country where I can pay those taxes. And help me so I can give to charity because I've made this kind of money. I want to be in that position for that doesn't mean maybe make those dollars it just means maybe you get into the flow of money coming into your life where you now can live in abundance. You could buy a $4 long tail for a homeless guy and get a sandwich or even give the children the time to serve in a soup kitchen, or even paint draw to teach children the next generation how sculpt this is what we're striving for. Freedom, not a pile of cash, but the freedom to actually manifest when we want. That's really what we're striving for. When I get up in the morning, so I want to, you know, I'm doing a voiceover for a book right now, reading a book for a friend and he's paying before I never thought I'd be more than that. I want everybody who's listening to this. I want to dive into it. I want to come out exhausted knowing at the end of it all. You know what I mean? I took every talent I had and I use it to anything anybody's listening. Isn't that what you really want to do? You know, that's the joy is being able to be present with our talents ourselves, and our God given to communicate that to the world.
Coleen Greco:
I was making note of the time because I'm like, that was a powerful mic drop moment that I don't want to forget about. So I just wanted to write the time down. But no, oh. And so okay, one of the things is so this is fascinating. And you have like no shortage of skills. One of the things you do that you share in the green room was you do voiceovers or invitations, right. So like, do you do like dinero like a sports nager? Like
Brad Szollose:
I pick up my swore. Yeah, what happened is, when I was a kid, I was an only child and then my mother play piano and sang and my grandfather was a drummer and a band. So how do you get attention and again, in a household like that, you learn different to impersonation So ever since I was a kid, you know, I couldn't pay friends money. So as I got older, that was living in New York and this is actually before I started to, I just actually doing voiceover. I was doing commercial, things like that. Some of my voiceovers are still playing today. So I wanted two different voices. So I would go on these auditions and I remember this audition. I'm in the big giant, big enough for an orchestra to play in the sound technician is on the other side of these windows, but they have the blind strong so I didn't see anybody. And they'd say hey, just read the copy. And so I read it for a commercial for KYOCERA. And a year can click and then he leans more like
sure, I'll do whatever, and then I'd be like Kyocera, copiers and printers. Now that's the best I could come up with because I had practice.
So once you learn to control your voice, just about Yes. I remember.
Coleen Greco:
I used to do Arnold horshack. And I did not remember that.
Brad Szollose:
But, you know, my claim to fame actually was Christopher Walken because I remember this radio station that I was working for this company that did real talent, real people tell and they said, Hey, can you get on the radio at 530 in the morning and talk to these DJs out west coast? I said, Sure. So I got up and I'm just like, hi, you know, this is Christopher Walken through WL VR. I don't do a caricature of Christopher Walken as he really sounds. You all know the lion speech. You got this slight
slant.
So you
just want to go back
Coleen Greco:
I don't know if you saw all the Christopher Walken coverage at the Super Bowl, but I don't know where you
Brad Szollose:
all you like what I don't think they knew about me. Yeah, I was. There was a one commercial it was, you know, the sky
smoke.
Yeah. Some people do a caricature walk and they're like, it's crazy as he really
Coleen Greco:
sweat everywhere Wow. As I get older I'm starting to look like crazy and so one of your year well, how we met anyway was through your show awakens nation which I'm so honored to have been on. So thank you, if I did that 1000 times before. What is the essence of the show? Maybe you can tell folks so we can we'll have the link in the show notes. But I'd love for them to know what they're, you know, give him a little taste even a little thirsty for more.
Brad Szollose:
What happened is I wrote my first book, liquid leadership. So naturally, I wound up on a lot of podcasts that before podcasts were a hot thing. I was either on as a guest or a host guest and I started to hear this same conversation over and over the business conversations. And it was always like, I'm so successful. Let me tell you how successful I am this morning. And then one friend of mine called me and said Hey, could you be on a panel discussion? For my my driving? We did this interview style panel. And then the third was on event is probably one of the top salespeople in the country. The book The closers which has sold over 15 million copies. That sounds cynical on this show. What am I gonna get? I'm a nobody. And then worked with Napoleon Hill and Zig Ziglar when he was 25 years old. So this guy's powerhouse. So I'm sitting there and starts talking about is going back to work after the Great Scott like what the hell am I gonna contribute my broken toenail once? And then Jim Palmer starts talking. He's another elder of the group and not elder little me but he lost his job and was diagnosed with skin cancer in the same week, and then for 18 months could not get a job. So target right up the block sells almost lost his house and was forced to start a business and he talked about you know, getting in recovery and doing the therapy and everything else. And I thought this is the conversation I want to have. I want to have these deep dives into extraordinary stuff, which is pain, trauma, recovery, all these things. So I named my podcast awaken nation, which is really the premises anybody who has fallen down mentally, emotionally, spiritually or physically. And when they got back up, they were forced to live life differently awake, basically. And I've had guests on that have blown my mind. You know, I Dog the Bounty Hunter on the show. I've had Stephen, Mr. Covey Stephen Covey's son on the show, the guy who wrote The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People. I've just been blown away at the color. The caliber of guests I've had on I've had a couple of people from the secret one. I have James Arthur Ray, who, as you know, fell from grace with three people dying in one of his sweat lodge retreats. I went to interview him and I didn't feel that I could start the interview with like, Hey, how's it going, buddy? I had to, like seven paragraphs of this new book, talking about their talks about how crushing that was. And I finally sit down I said, how hard was it to write? And that's how we started the interview. And then I found out his wife Varys. She was a child of war, but she saw our parents get killed in front of her trauma. That was a heavy episode.
Brad Szollose
We
had Dr. Joe Vitale on from the secret JC Campbell on MKC. She was a female fighter pilot that brought her a 10 warthog back at Baghdad after it had been the whole back into the plane have been flown down. And then when she got back to base, fired fighters who were Marines, they came up to the plane to Dallas. And they just stopped and stared and when she came down the ladder, they just shook her hand and saluted her. Couldn't figure out how she made it. Oh, but she was like confused. She walked out on the tarmac, look back at her jet. Back in was gone. They were like how did you make it home? So I tried to do an interview that makes people no need for it, but it shows the dynamics of what's changing in our world today. So I had a guy on it served Ayahuasca he was a he was basically an officer in a Mexican cartel in a white supremacist cartel. And after his first daughter was born, he said, I can't live like this, I'm going to be dead. So he decided to go up the desert and work with Native Americans to show himself to remove all the violence and all this stuff. And he became one of these people who served over 1000 Ayahuasca circles, that their heart we had a conversation so I also had a woman she was in a documentary, and she was Geraldine Orosco and she is one of the top people who creates these meditations. But she had been abducted by aliens. And I know that sounds crazy. To some people, but she talked about the alien hybrid program that our government has. And she had pregnancies that had MRIs and she had scans. The scans they do for child. You can see her her actual physical scans because her uncle was their gynecologist of her being pregnant, and then the pregnancy just disappeared. And so there was physical evidence that something happened. And so I had her on she never very controversial sometimes I have to be very delicate people. Sometimes a young man who tried to blow his brains out on the trigger all it went through and said wow, I don't have a normal conversation on my show ever.
Yeah, I was on Yeah, I mean, I, I'm not sure I can hold the camera to those people. But I would love to try. I think you know what's so great. That's the beauty of Liferay is to have these life changing conversations. It's very easy to keep yourself within your own, like the confines of your own neighborhood. Right. Like, I'd rather have these conversations, or like that's helped me grow as well.
You know, when I was a kid, I was a boy scout was probably one of the funniest moments when we go camping. Sure, and sit around the campfire and we're told kinds of stories of ghost stories to some of my my patrol leaders. They are in Vietnam, they will tell us stories. Surviving. The politics and girls talked about everything from Bigfoot to Loch Ness monster to the latest, Charlton Heston, the omega, everything. So there was no filter telling you that's crazy. That's wrong. Everything was in the realm of that's possible. If somebody believes that that's possible. And that's the purpose. Of my my whole podcast is super something amazing. And then just sit there and ask the questions. No one else has never asked a question. Somebody go, oh, yeah, okay, this is what I did. It's usually like you know, I never thought of that. No one's ever asked me that. I work hard. I want to get the best interview out of out of somebody and you may not believe some of the guests that have been on my show when it's coming out. But the reality is, you'll hear I guarantee that. I'll
guarantee it to everyone. I mean, I was on his show, and I felt, first of all, it was probably, I would say the best interview I've had so far. But you're also just so like, kind of approachable and you just make it fun and that's, that's what I walked away with, you know, for our interview, and then the ones that I had, you know, listen to me before I joined. I
look at it this way, you know, what would it be like if you invited somebody famous that you've always admired? And you're not nervous about this? For sure. But if you sat down, you had a cup of coffee, how would you talk to them? That's the whole way I approach it. I don't care if you're saying I want to know how you overcame alcohol to get where you're at to find the success. I asked. Dog the Bounty Hunter he was on the show. I just said he had a new wife that had died of cancer and it was bad. They said, You know, he told me his base story. But then I said how did you do? He said, No, I was depressed. I had just had a cancerous growth ring. On my face goes and I was alone. And I was crying in the car and I said I can't be alone or you know, but I have to honor my my wife who died while we picked up the Bible and basically said, Man is not meant to live alone. You must have me and his wife Francie. Now, she knows help Dog the Bounty Hunter was and her best friend called her up. I don't know I had a dream. I had a crawfish. Dog about the
dog, watch TV and blah, blah, blah. She had no clue what she thought. And so three months later, she gets a phone call. Her husband had died.
And this guy on the phone starts talking you know, hey, I need your husband to come out and fix my yard here in Colorado. And she goes, Well, your name's dawn. Doug and I my husband got this particular cancer with SolarWinds silent on the other end first of all, my game is gone. It goes. It goes. Your husband died at the same cancer. My wife went up and down their spine because their friend said you two are gonna get married. And you're gonna be doing God's word. And I only asked for questions in that episode and they talked for an hour and a half and couldn't stop and they talked about their love for Christ Jesus. talking in tongues being a patchy native you know, she wanting to cut his hair, not releasing Native American long hair is part of so that was a pretty well episode a couple of weeks ago. And Jason Kristof. He's one of the leading people who breaks down the mind control our government has been using on us directly, and we break down that new movie that was leaving with every symbol, every image, just sit there jaw drops. And I tried to be on top of this stuff. And I was like, Whoa, that was pretty, pretty amazing.
Coleen Greco
I want to make note that
Brad Szollose
was already out but you can only get that on the rumble does not like
Coleen Greco
yeah, that's a good point. Okay, making note of that. Well, I think this conversation has been just absolutely amazing. And I'm so grateful that you were willing to come on our little so and talk about joy and just your your whole your whole life story is just fascinating and I just love your essence and you gave some great tips around. You know how to manifest or really do it from a place of like abundance and from your heart. And I think those are really great tips for people to walk away with. I mean, people are always looking for things like that. So I wrote them down. Do you really want it? I think and I think that
Brad Szollose
if you really want to manifest or you
actually want to do something with a lawyer
Coleen Greco
or that's the thing somebody said, Oh, I think you'd be good at whatever and now you're like this riding that wave right so I thought that was great. So any parting thoughts before we wrap up this amazing episode?
Brad Szollose
I just, you know, I believe that the good Lord puts us on this planet in a physical body because we have a mission. Within that mission, if you look for your creative nature of the one unique thing that you bring to the table, that's your mission. It's not
really that hard to figure out. You know, my
my mission is really to be Mr. Creative. To show people that you can live life fully, creatively and make a living doing nice living doing it and just your presence, believe it or not, brings us joy to work. There's a rapper who says it best to close. Yes. My presence speaks volumes before I say word. And that is my favorite favorite quote. Because just think about it. Those of you who have kids, you want to talk to your kids that you're behind them that you're standing there while they're climbing their rope ladder or their you take them to Disney World and they're just sitting there going. My parents are having a great experience. A lot of people just love they're just good. Don't stay at home. Don't be want popcorn watching Netflix on a Saturday get out their friends go hiking. We you know my my fiance and I would live by this. I always say this whenever we leave the house I know you're ready. We're going on another adventure.
You store.
We're going on an adventure. We put it in that realm of excitement. We're not just driving somewhere. We're going on an adventure.
Coleen Greco
You have to bring the flashback right like remember how life started were so full of joy and silliness. And I have a friend who is she's very connected to the fun side of her personality. And then we did a visualization exercise the other day and we tapped into my imaginary friends who I was feeling so guilty that I couldn't remember what they were about. And so then I realized who I don't actually have to remember that I can reinvent them to who I am now and it was so much fun. And I'm like why don't we do that more often. So I totally subscribe to that jump into, like making everything fun. Again, having adventures seeing the beauty in the small report.
Brad Szollose
Just reframe it. reframe it instead.
You're not putting a hole. You're going
on an adventure to trek for miles to get sustenance. You know we didn't even talk about longevity. We're gonna talk about that.
Coleen Greco
Okay, guys, we're not wrapping right now we're gonna talk about longevity,
Brad Szollose
because we brought it up in the green room, which is a fancy term for we didn't turn on the record but uh, my went through. Let me let me go back. I mentioned my dad was a chiropractor. So I grew up with chiropractic, homeopathic knowledge, but my best friend across the street his dad was a doctor and regular doctor, surgery general practitioner, as a flight surgeon in the Air Force. So I grew up surrounded by reflexology, chiropractic care. Drink plenty of water. So fast forward, I hit my 50s You know, my body is changing rapidly with what's going on in my family. We don't eat like everybody else. So my hair was turning white, white. Like you see it now. But like, you know Clinton White, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. So I started to develop a regimen of going back to just eating properly getting the proper nutrition. I actually got a hold of a couple of dentro pas, your friends that I got on the show many many times. Dr. Randy Shannon, Dr. Joel Wallach and Dr. Robert Scott, though I have all been on the show. And I would just reach out because I have a background in this I just said, Hey, I'm feeling this what do I need to do? And slowly I started to reverse aging in my body. And mind fiance was 13 years younger than me.
When I first started dating,
I sat down you know did a squat. It was only for like a minute and a half of grabbing some stuff and then it popped right back up. Well the eyes in her head popped up she was she goes man your age isn't supposed to be able to do that. I said squatted and got back up like it was nothing. Well, how am I supposed to be? So I started cracking up because I started to realize if you take the right nutrition you can reverse aging. And I don't mean by so here's the here's what I mean by 60s. Okay, so anyways, minerals, there's 122 Nacional essential minerals that we must get under 22 Second thing is up to Central 30. Yes. You have to take those every day as well believe that's your Omega three. And then the third discovery that is copper. We are not magnesium deficient or zinc deficient. We are copper deficient, which robs us of magnesium, zinc, copper, zinc and calcium. So the reason we're magnesium deficient is because copper is not in their diets. We use the liver, hearts and brains from animals. That's rare copper and all these other minerals that are in their STEM reading muscle, which doesn't have those things. And so, when I start saying copper, wrinkles started to go with my skin started to get clearer my hair started to get darker. Again. Going back to one look from when I was a kid. You literally I've said this to people who have actually looked at me and go wow, you doing nothing with and I'm gonna tell you these things in your body right now. I'm going to point this out there are 20 causes of death that are directly related to copper deficiency 20 causes of death that are directly related to copper deficiency. There's one more ingredient you have to get your diet. Dr. Joel Wallach he went and he analyzed looking at people over 100 years of age, first of all, study removed anybody who was eating red meat and living to 100 So don't get a buy into this vegetarian or what it was he found this he looked in the soil in these areas. The number one ingredient that people are eating in their food because what's grown in this rich environment is Selenium. Selenium is very very powerful.
And then I found out something's
just gonna let you know you don't want her helps you to rebuild your heart tissue actually builds and strengthens the muscles of the heart muscle of the heart. You know what
Coleen Greco
it is? As a nutrition coach I should but I don't know. Cayenne
Brad Szollose
pepper. Oh take cayenne pepper capsules on an empty stomach. Drink it in the morning. Guess what? You can rebuild your heart tissue. Here's the other thing I had to do and after listening to Jason Kristof, but did it like gave up coffee? I love coffee. I love coffee, with every fiber of my being had to give it up because if you drink coffee on an empty stomach every day and I did this for a long time, it actually separates the lining of your stomach away from your stomach and you have trouble digesting. You may have digestive issues and that's why you're gaining weight because your body can't digest anymore. I started this thing being from a German based state, Pennsylvania. I started eating and drinking sauerkraut all sauerkraut you your stomach. Oh it's delicious when you get used to it. So I drink that before I go to bed this a little bit and eat some sauerkraut. What is wrong with you?
Coleen Greco
So for the people that are watching this, they're listening to the podcast network. I literally am covering my face going like how do I keep from dominating right it's awful.
Brad Szollose
It's not what we're gonna see I grew up in a culture where we you know, we had summer crowd or you know like a nice rose for the holidays. And
nobody had heart problems. I mean, that was rare as hell
and now all of a sudden everybody has all these issues. Well, sauerkraut has is the most nutritional dense food that we can have along with Kim cheese as well as seaweed. So I want a soft boiled eggs in the morning to see squares at Costco. You know when I ordered food at lunch we call it a sushi place to get the seafood salad because it's nutritionally dense meal just about anything so I was really I was on a pod. Just before we started this one, basically we talked about what foods are vibrationally high, what foods are vibrationally low, and you just have to ask yourself, do I reach for Doritos or steamed sweet potato?
Coleen Greco
Know You're absolutely right and your body knows how to process potatoes
Brad Szollose
and it looks good. Doesn't even food it's
Coleen Greco
processed and something's made the facility. Your body's gonna have a harder time with it and has to kind of figure it out and it's just a poison is it a toxin is
Brad Szollose
worse than DEA has improved over 15 to 20,000 chemicals that are in our food supply. Brett we're just gonna read a box on every item we pick up in a supermarket there it is. It's right trying to get phosphagen here, your Cheerios I'm sorry. It shouldn't be there. It's a red. That's what these things are preservatives. So why do we eat especially vegetables we're trying to get enzymatic activity that's that comes from somewhere. Go through the I forget my junior high chemistry class and you know it's creating chlorophyll. You know what I mean? That
process that creates that we're trying to
get the kids emetic activity from the sun through plants. Okay. And so what happens is when they add a preservative, it's really there to keep it from getting moldy. And that enzymatic activity breaking down over two weeks while it sits on the shelf. So the preservative that they put in there stops the enzymatic activity. When you eat it, you cannot digest it because of the chemical. That preservative that's in there. That keeps the bread from getting moldy also keeps you from digesting the bread properly. That you don't notice it. Because when you're 25 You bought a loaf of bread when eating it with your peanut butter you didn't pay attention. So they decided oh people don't like well floating in their in their peanut butter. So we're gonna remove the oil fat. We're gonna hydrogenated hydrogen to it. solid at room temperature and the clogging of the arteries because this stuff sticks inside your arteries and your artery walls. So process even even the stuff that seems innocent you know, there's that and there's also parasites, we parasites and everything. Yep.
Coleen Greco
And it just builds up over time and your body can tolerate it for so long and then it sets it down and that is the summary statement and if there ever was one and I tell people all the time, it's directly linked to autoimmune diseases.
Brad Szollose
Like part of the reason. Part of the reason is they spray everything was Glice of glyphosate, they spread because they say it's a pesticide. Pesticide they could have gotten rid of that years ago. They basically spray it because if you leave products and foods and things like that, your immune system drops you get weaker. You don't
know you're getting to the male, sperm count and testosterone
levels have quality 50 to 75% over the past 100 years, what's causing that. No one's addressing that. We also are having a lower birth rate because people just they're either not interested in sex has dropped looking. A lot of the young men today are not interested in sex. It's gone. sex drives God. They're more interested in playing video games. I'm being serious. There's only a few out there that still we have 30 year olds with erectile dysfunction. Why? My grandfather's still earning sex with my grandmother who started to be crass in his 70s You know, cuz we get to hear them. Now I've had a flashback. Anyways. They thought we were all asleep. We weren't
Coleen Greco
we suddenly have
Brad Szollose
we have women who have testosterone and lead a friend and collapsed on stage or testosterone. When women have more estrogen, less testosterone, but what happened is she lost it. A friend of mine called me up and said hey buddy, Mike, this was about John levels, check these like 11 levels are supposed to be between eight and 1200 is we're at 1111
I've heard a lot of stories about that. And I mean it's all it's all linked to the food supply.
Why electromagnetic radiation? And also we have a lifestyle nail where you know when I was a kid, you can take a month off and relax after you've made a decent amount of money. You relax a little bit. Now going to get right back in every Monday morning, tackling, you need a side hustle, you
gotta have another salary.
You know, this is this what's going on? We're too busy to take care of ourselves
Coleen Greco
and shine ourselves. into the ground. Yep. You got that note? Notes. Discussion. I'm so grateful. I really appreciate you coming on today and sharing because we covered so many different topics but sharing your wisdom and like I said this three takeaways are critical and I'm certainly going to highlight them. But even the fun of the impersonation I just so so special for me, I really appreciate you
Brad Szollose
to do such a great person. One last thing when it comes to your health, get your teeth checked.
A lot of times
periodontal disease but you don't have cavities and all periodontal letting you know you have a osteoporosis skull, which you can revert, but a lot of times, bacteria builds up in your body and believe it or not periodontal disease can cause all kinds of estrogen problems and women erectile dysfunction in heart disease and heart attacks in everybody. Just not getting your teeth checked. And I know it's expensive. But oh my god, I had mine checked and I had to
Coleen Greco
consider the alternative. That's the way the way I respond to heart attacks are due on the minutes of the bill. Right? Yeah,
Brad Szollose
you got it. off on a happier note. Spring
