00:00:38.159 --> 00:00:42.560
Hey, hey ladies, and welcome back to another episode of the Isn't She Powerful podcast.
00:00:42.719 --> 00:00:47.520
This is a healthy huddle episode where I give you quick ideas for fast action.
00:00:47.679 --> 00:01:00.719
I want to speak directly to the person who is going through something in their life right now that is requiring a bit more of their energy than they are used to giving to such situations.
00:01:01.200 --> 00:01:14.400
And it is causing them to have to put things such as their health and wellness on the back burner, slash it is causing you to just not have as much energy and as much time to give to your health and wellness.
00:01:14.480 --> 00:01:26.640
Even if you're not saying this is not a top priority right now, it is just becoming not a top priority because other things are a bigger, more important priority in your life right now.
00:01:26.879 --> 00:01:30.799
I have a client that I've been working with for quite some time now.
00:01:31.040 --> 00:01:36.000
I worked with her in Seismic Shift at the beginning of 2025, I believe.
00:01:36.239 --> 00:01:38.079
And she recently had a baby.
00:01:38.239 --> 00:01:43.359
Her baby's just a couple months old now, and we've been working together the entire time.
00:01:43.519 --> 00:01:52.319
And she's just now getting back to going back to work, and it is requiring her energy to be split in a lot of different directions.
00:01:52.480 --> 00:01:57.599
She's having to get a lot, give a lot of energy to her work now, to her family.
00:01:57.760 --> 00:02:07.760
And health and wellness, although it is a priority for her, it can't be her number one priority like it had been at previous times when we had been working together.
00:02:08.080 --> 00:02:29.599
And yesterday I was chatting with her in our group chat, and I sent her a metaphor to try to give her some inspiration to keep going and to also see the effects and the impacts of the work that she is putting in right now because it can be really challenging to see what you are doing at times.
00:02:29.759 --> 00:02:39.439
I know that for my family right now, it's not a baby, but it's elderly family members who are sick in and out of the hospital, requiring a lot of attention.
00:02:39.759 --> 00:03:02.719
And while I'm not giving that attention, I am hearing from my mom and her siblings every single day of the amount of energy that they are expending towards this situation and towards caring for her parents, and that is requiring other things in her life to just not be top priorities.
00:03:02.879 --> 00:03:08.080
Not everything can be your number one priority all the time, and that's okay.
00:03:08.319 --> 00:03:28.400
It doesn't mean that you're doing anything wrong, it doesn't mean that you're a bad person, it just means that there life ebbs and flows, and there are things that come into focus at times and things that slide out of focus, and then the same thing happens later on where health and wellness can come back into focus because those other things they start to run like a machine again.
00:03:28.560 --> 00:03:34.879
But as I was talking with my client in our group chat yesterday, I thought of a metaphor.
00:03:35.039 --> 00:03:39.199
You see, the town that I live in is right on the Florida-Georgia line.
00:03:39.360 --> 00:03:44.879
So even though I live on the Florida side, just last night I went to dinner in Georgia.
00:03:45.039 --> 00:03:48.400
So I'm very close to that border.
00:03:48.639 --> 00:03:56.800
And there's a train that runs straight down the main road in our town, and it runs right across the main road.
00:03:57.039 --> 00:04:22.399
And I would assume that there must be some sort of way station either on the Georgia side or the Florida side or whatever that may look like, because there I cannot even tell you the amount of times I have been sitting on our main road, and a train is all but stopped across the road, and it takes quite some time for the train to get moving again and get out of the way so that we can all proceed to where we need to go.
00:04:22.639 --> 00:04:37.199
Yesterday, as I was talking with this client, I thought of that train because even though that train is going so incredibly slow, it is painful to sit there and wait for this train to get out of the way.
00:04:37.439 --> 00:04:39.839
The train never actually stops.
00:04:40.160 --> 00:04:43.279
It's always slightly inching forward.
00:04:43.439 --> 00:04:51.680
There's a little bit of movement to it, even though from the from from my point of view, it feels like it is stopped on the tracks.
00:04:51.759 --> 00:04:59.120
And I will say I'm sitting here, the train has stopped, I'm waiting for it to pass, but that's never actually the case.
00:04:59.360 --> 00:05:03.920
The train is moving, it's just moving really slowly.
00:05:04.399 --> 00:05:23.680
And as I was talking with this client yesterday, I used this metaphor to remind her that even though she's not moving at the same pace as she has been before, she's not doing all of the healthy habits that she previously had, you know, before she had her baby, she still is doing little things every day.
00:05:23.839 --> 00:05:29.519
She's been sending us messages saying, I'm not doing everything, but I'm doing this one thing, or I'm doing that one thing.
00:05:29.680 --> 00:05:38.319
And that means that even though her train is not speeding forward at the same rate that it had been previously, it's still inching forward.
00:05:38.480 --> 00:05:40.800
She's still making progress.
00:05:41.279 --> 00:05:47.759
Being a healthy person and having healthy habits, it's not always about speeding forward.
00:05:47.920 --> 00:05:52.399
It's not always about doing everything right every single day.
00:05:52.639 --> 00:05:55.279
In fact, it's rarely about that.
00:05:55.600 --> 00:06:08.959
Usually, nine times out of ten, being a healthy person means that you actively make choices each day that align with the goal and the person that you want to be in the end.
00:06:09.199 --> 00:06:19.439
If you can just make one choice each day to get yourself closer to where you want to be, that is all that it takes to be a healthy person.
00:06:19.680 --> 00:06:26.000
Because all it takes is 1% more, 1% better than you were the day before.
00:06:26.160 --> 00:06:29.920
And that means that you are a healthier person than you were the day before.
00:06:30.079 --> 00:06:36.959
So if you never drink water and today you finish a bottle of water, congratulations, you are healthier today than you were yesterday.
00:06:37.040 --> 00:06:39.600
And let's keep that momentum going into tomorrow.
00:06:39.759 --> 00:06:48.079
If you never eat enough protein and today you make it a point to have protein at your breakfast, amazing, you are healthier today than you were the day before.
00:06:48.240 --> 00:06:55.040
If you never get up and move your body and today you decide to go for a five-minute walk, guess what?
00:06:55.199 --> 00:06:58.240
You are healthier today than you were the day before.
00:06:58.319 --> 00:07:02.879
And that is all that it takes to be a healthy person.
00:07:03.120 --> 00:07:08.639
Making active choices and small, tiny incremental changes.
00:07:08.959 --> 00:07:13.279
Just keep moving the train forward, even if it's moving slowly.
00:07:13.439 --> 00:07:17.279
There will be times in your life whenever the train can speed forward.
00:07:17.439 --> 00:07:28.160
When you can, you have all of the systems in place, and there's nothing else in your life that is taking up energy and time from this journey, and you can focus on it fully.
00:07:28.319 --> 00:07:32.399
And then there are other times when it is a more challenging.
00:07:32.560 --> 00:07:36.879
There's people that you've got to take care of, there's work situations that need to be a priority.
00:07:37.040 --> 00:07:42.560
There are going to be times when you just can't commit all of your energy to your health and wellness.
00:07:42.720 --> 00:07:54.879
And the important thing is that even if you can't put all of your energy towards it, what is the one or two tiny things that you can do that can keep the train inching forward?
00:07:55.040 --> 00:07:59.279
I hope that this little episode served as some motivation for you today.
00:07:59.519 --> 00:08:02.160
Always know that I fully believe in you.
00:08:02.240 --> 00:08:15.759
And the faster that you can start believing in you, even if it's not fully believing in you, but if you can start believing in you, even just a tiny amount, you are going to become exactly who you want to be so much faster.
00:08:16.000 --> 00:08:17.600
I'm so thankful for you.
00:08:17.759 --> 00:08:19.600
Thanks for being here for another episode.
00:08:19.759 --> 00:08:24.079
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you wherever that may be.
00:08:24.240 --> 00:08:26.480
And I'll see you again in the next episode.
00:08:26.800 --> 00:08:27.839
Bye, guys.
00:08:28.319 --> 00:08:29.439
Thank you so much.
00:08:29.600 --> 00:08:31.680
I can't wait to see you again next week.
00:08:31.759 --> 00:08:35.759
And always remember the more you know, the more you grow.
