Rachel is a personal trainer and mother of four. She shares her journey into intermittent fasting, which began after she noticed a transformation in a woman she followed online. Initially skeptical, Rachel was intrigued by the focus on whole foods and mindset work, which led her to reevaluate her eating habits. She discovered that many foods she considered healthy were actually processed, prompting her to adopt a more natural diet. This shift not only improved her health but also changed her relationship with food, allowing her to enjoy substitutions without feeling restricted.
Rachel discusses the importance of mindset in achieving success with intermittent fasting. She emphasizes that a positive mindset is crucial for long-term success, as it helps individuals approach fasting with a sustainable and healthy attitude. Rachel's journey included cutting out processed sugars and focusing on whole foods, which helped her become fat-adapted. This adaptation allowed her to extend her fasting periods comfortably, leading to significant weight loss and improved overall well-being. Rachel's story highlights the power of mindset and the benefits of listening to one's body.
Rachel concludes with advice for new intermittent fasters, stressing the importance of trusting the process and embracing the clean fast. She wishes she had known earlier about the impact of a clean fast, as it made a significant difference in her journey. Rachel encourages others to try it for 28 days, as the experience can be transformative. Her story serves as an inspiration for those looking to improve their health through intermittent fasting, emphasizing the importance of patience, mindset, and self-discovery.
