Lindsay: What's your price to suddenly and forever sound like credos from God of war, or to jog, walk, run, and hike backwards for the next year, or to travel back in time for 24 hours?
Aron: Let's find out. God, if you travel back in time, you'd be Austin Hours international man of. If you laugh at that, then you'll laugh at human values.

Let's do this
Matt: episode. That
Aron: was Chris. Is he related to Bhel Silverstein? Ooh,
Lindsay: let's ask.
Should we just jump into it? Because I'm feeling this energy is nice. You look
Aron: at the pool. Does the temperature seem good? You guys wanna like go for a little, little paddle? Ooh, I
Lindsay: wanna dip more
Matt: than a toe. Yeah, I'm dipping all the way in. I'm in the
Aron: pool. Oh, you're right. Neck deep. Have you done that one?
Big moment. I've gone
Matt: under. Yeah. I'm soaked. ,
Aron: you've already gotten your hair wet. Yes,
Matt: the hair is, The hair is dripping. Just
Lindsay: like a real little
Matt: mermaid moment. Yeah, it came up. I flipped. I'm singing part of your hair bags off the diving board.
Aron: Let's get to the hard questions here, Matt. Let's cut the shit.
Do you like a swimming pool? That's a little bit cool or a little bit warm
Matt: alone? A little bit warm. A lot of people, a little bit warm can be strange, you know?
Lindsay: Yeah. Cuz then you're like, Why is a pool so warm? Can somebody please tell me why the pool is so warm? Do we have a test? Do we have someone with one of some, some test tubes and some chemicals?
Aron: Exactly. Lindsay, you uh, you talking peepee?
Lindsay: I'm talking peepee. I just like, too many people's body Heat. Making water of warm is pretty gross. Pretty gross to me. It's like also like everything that a person brings with them into water. Like, you know, when you get in, Your butthole also gets in there with you, and that's a bunch of people's
Matt: buttholes.
I never thought about it that way, . I never thought about swimming lessons back then like that. But thank
Aron: you, . You know, until today, I've been thinking we're gonna get a call from, at some point from big swimming pool to say, Hey, Lindsay really needs to be a brand ambassador for swimming pools. But now that you've done the whole Duncan, Than Lindsay Duncan Hole.
Matt: This is Duncan Hole. A
Lindsay: tremendous source. Ew. Oh, Duncan Hole. However, I will say if Big Butthole wants to give me a call, I'm available.
Matt: I have their number
Aron: actually. . Are they like a superPAC? Yeah, .
Matt: They need, they need our money. .
Aron: Sorry guys. I'm, I'm proud enough to admit to the two of you that I don't know what Big Butthole does as a super pac.
Lindsay: It's not really for you to know. It's an if you know, you know kind of situation. Yeah.
Matt: I literally can't tell. I've signed an NDA with Big Butt.
Lindsay: I've signed an NDA anus.
Aron: Okay, I was gonna say, they sound pretty anal. There we go. .
Lindsay: All right, so
Matt: don't turn it off. Keep listening, please.
Aron: Wait, wait. Yeah, don't go
Lindsay: say something pleasant.
Somebody say something less weird. .
Aron: Matt. Matt? Uh uh. How. My
Matt: day was, uh, it was good. Thank you for asking. It's, uh, I don't know. You guys are on the west Coast, right? I'm assuming? Oh, yeah.
Lindsay: Los Angeles, East side. Los Fes. Okay.
Matt: I didn't know. I'm in New York and it's, it's disgusting here. It's like dreary. It's, we're getting like the remnants of Ian, so it's kind of just gross and rainy all day.
Yeah. It's like 50 degrees. It's, it's kind of rough but
Lindsay: terrible. Yeah. I saw some of my friends posting like seasonal effective disorder is, Is
Matt: happening. Yeah, it's a lot of that. Like I haven't seen the sun in a little bit, but I'm okay. I, I. I went for a nice little walk, went to a coffee shop, read a book I'm doing.
I had a nice little productive day, so
Aron: whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Way to bury the lead. What'd you get? The coffee shop? Iced
Matt: coffee. I'm an iced coffee year round kind of boy. Wow. I don't know about you guys.
Aron: Yeah. Yeah. You'd fit in great in California. Yeah, I know.
Lindsay: I'm a hot Maia all year round. It's a hundred degrees outside.
I'm like, Bring that Maha to me. So hot. Nothing like a hot beverage on a hot day. Maybe a hot soup, a red wine. Oh, I'm just really keeping it all really. It's a character
Matt: flaw. What? Liking us ? Yeah.
Aron: Due to the, the bamboo whis. Oh,
Lindsay: I've got multiple whisks.
Aron: You froth
Lindsay: your much. Oh, I'm frothing Maes. Daily. .
Aron: Matt, you ever, uh, you ever froth
Matt: the much?
I can't say I froth mo is too much. I, I think it's cool that you guys do that, but I, I, uh, No, no. What is this? Bamboo whisk? Is that a thing? Is that a
Lindsay: California thing? Oh, yeah. You gotta have, you gotta have the bamboo whisk. There's a whole process. It's part of like my morning routine matching. Oh, you make
Matt: ma at home?
Lindsay: That's kind of cool. Oh yeah. I'm making matches at home. I got the little milk for author. I'm whisking up the, I'm doing, I have a whole, it's a whole little
Matt: moment. Wow. How long, when did you get into that
Lindsay: like. A year and a half
Matt: ago. Okay. That's pretty cool. I'm, I just make a pot of black coffee and that's kind of my,
Lindsay: Well see I had
Matt: to give up coffee.
Wait, is maa not, isn't Can a Maha be coffee? Am I crazy? Well,
Aron: Maa is green tea, dry and ground up into a pallet. Right? Let's just edit this out.
Matt: Edit this
Aron: here. We'll give a better break in part. Hello, I'm Jackie. So if anyone coming back right now, Matt just went on a 20 minute tangent telling Lindsay and I about the history of MAA cultivation and grinding, and he is an expert in maa, but we're gonna save you guys.
Lindsay: It was beautiful. I didn't know it had to be grown in the shade. What if I
Matt: thought everything was coffee ?
Aron: Yeah. I've never seen a grown man openly weep while screaming maa. That was special.
Matt: This is my hill to die on. I I thought Maa. It's really
Aron: be until now. Wait. Okay, so there's a bigger question here. Now, Lindsay, I don't know if you know this, but Matt, you didn't look at.
Today's questions. I wanna take a few minutes to talk about this. You, you're going in blind, right? Are you like, Daredevil?
Matt: This? I'm daredevil it. I figured we only live our lives once, and I figured if I had the chance to go in blind to this podcast, I thought that would be better for all of us. It might, it might not be good.
It might, You might completely throw me off with these questions, but I feel, I feel good about it, guys,
Lindsay: I have to share something with you as well. Oh. Which is, I also am playing a little game with myself where I didn't look at the questions before. Really? Yeah. I thought it would be fun to, to do a thing where I don't, where I didn't look at the questions this time I was trying to, I'm playing a little game with myself and everyone else.
Right.
Aron: Did you know Matt wasn't also,
Lindsay: No, That's why I'm saying this is gonna be really fun because both of us are going in like just a couple of little blind horses jumping off the. Platform,
Matt: what they always say. Some blind horses jumping off the platform. Yeah. I'm excited. Nay, nay. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to party.
Lindsay: nay. My fucking
Matt: nay. . Yeah. I'm chopping at the fucking bit. . Yeah,
Aron: right. Hold, chill out. I'll give you a little salt lick. Let's, let's
Lindsay: assault like
Matt: it's, it's a lot of pressure on you cuz you're the only
Aron: one that knows what's going on tonight. , we're really screwed if I'm the only one who has any sense of bearing of direction here.
So Matt, the general idea here is that we're gonna do three. What's your price questions? Okay. The tricky sauce to put on your taco is that it's not a marmalade, it's a spicy sauce. Is that it has to be the least amount you're willing to accept to do these, not just any amount. So you can't just say a house.
As your answer for every single question. Sure. Shit. Unless that's the least you would accept. Got it. It's become a disclaimer we have to give to our generation, cuz pretty much all of us just want shelter. Yeah. .
Matt: I would like to own property for all
Aron: of these. Oh, and another fun thing for you to know is that all of the questions are combinations of ones that are sent in between the writers on our show, but also like a lot of the people listening and we also get their poll.
Matt: Oh, cool. I will say before we start, I listened to a few episodes, like, it's great, you guys have a great show. It's funny and like, I love this. I love that you go to like the reader polls and like get some answers from them. It's, it's great.
Aron: We're poll answers. We do a little jiggle and everyone sends their things in Lindsay, it's fine.
So yeah. Anyway, anyone listening, if you wanna play along human values podcast.com, shall we play? Let's play. Let's
Lindsay: play the game. Ooh. Ooh. Okay guys. What's your price to suddenly and forever sound like Kratos from God of war. Lindsay, it's credos. So credos from God of war. Do both of you know what this is?
Matt: I'm aware of credos. Yeah. I've never, I've never owned a god of war, but I have played them before. He's like a, he's like a white painted guy with like red on him. Is that right? He
Aron: has like red body paint. Is that a
Lindsay: video game or, or what is that?
Matt: Yeah, it's a video game. You kill a lot of people. You're like a, you're a God.
God of
Aron: war is about a guy who's trying to kill all the gods. I didn't play the main Sears, I played the, the like, the reboot one a few years ago that came out.
Matt: Does anyone in the room know what he sounds
Aron: like? Well, like yes. Yes, yes, yes. Cause I, I've extensively played the most recent God of war. And I know there's another one that like just came out, also the sequel to God of War, cuz there's the original God of war games and then they rebooted God of war, but it's like in the future.
So he is older. He has, he has like a he, He calls this kid boy and he says, Yes, we're going to go do these things. Boy, the old Nordic voice, so he's
Lindsay: kind of like the Christian bail,
Aron: Batman, deeper and darker. It's like, Well, that's what I'm doing guys. I naturally sound like Batman when I relax, but it's a strain for me to sound this high pitched and annoying.
I, This is my natural speaky voice.
Matt: What's the bare minimum? I would need to be paid to sound like that for the rest of my life. Yeah.
Aron: But before we get into like this forever question of it, do you guys strive for anything different in your own voices?
Lindsay: Hmm. Here's something I will say about my voices that sometimes, and now I'm like overly self-conscious about it, is that sometimes I.
My voice goes really high pitched in certain situations and I realize like, I'm like, Am I making a, I'm an adult woman. Am I making a baby voice right now? Like what is happening? Or like if I'm trying to be loud, if it's more in a loud place, my voice goes really high and then I feel very, I feel very embarrassed cause I wanna have a deep voice, like a cool person who's like, you know, a grounded adult.
But sometimes I get a little high squeaky and. You know, that's a, that's an experience. I don't like to go too high. However, I don't need to go that low with my voice. People will be like, Are you okay? People will constantly be so concerned
Matt: with that voice though. What about like being on the phone with people, like customer service and stuff.
Do you think that would help you there if you had like a more, Oh my God. Like if you sound a little more like intense, maybe that would backfire, but I feel like that could. A benefit, Right. To sound a little more like, I mean, maybe not like credos, but deep and gruff. Yeah. A little more like, like, I don't know.
Like I, I guess you're the only woman here and like, I'd imagine like if you were sounding like him, that'd be like kind of wild. There's more at stake for you than us. Yeah. Cause I feel like on like a day where I'm like, hungover, I, I kind of sound like him. You know what I mean? Like it's not that far off.
Like a deep
Aron: thorn. Like kinda, Yes. I
Lindsay: mean, look, if it's something I could pull. In like a moment where I, I know that like there's a guy, I'm on the street and there's somebody walking behind me and I'm like, I really want to like, scare them a little bit. I would be able like to be able to pull out that voice in moments where I wanted to be very intimidating or like, Oh my God, what's going on with this person?
That would be nice, but to only have that, it doesn't sound fun.
Aron: Good. I would like an iced maa latte, please.
Matt: That's not bad. That sounds like 'em. But also,
Lindsay: why isn't it pronounced Kratos? It's
Matt: credos. I think it's Greek maybe or something. Isn't that like, like it is? How do you spell, How do you pronounce? Is it Thanos or Thanos?
Thanos.
Aron: T h a n o s. Like
Matt: that's a similar, we're in the same ballpark there. And that's, that's kind of not the, the tall a
Aron: you really wanna bring up Latin pronunciation just for us all to look like idiots on air ? I
Matt: don't know. I don't know. I'm trying to find something that we can, I'm like, what else do we know that looks like this
Aron: word?
Well, I feel like Lindsay's at the greatest loss here because if you or I had that, that is like, you know, it's not the worst thing as, Yeah, we're already. Fucking men.
Matt: Yeah. I scream
Aron: aggressive dude. . Yeah. Yeah. We like to say on the show we put the O in comedy game show you put the O in testosterone. Oh.
They were just like pure man. And I thought that when I met you and me, I smell of of power and manliness. You take all the traits of toxic masculinity and you remove the worst parts of it. I'm all the best parts. Wow. So you and I together, I get it. Yeah. Yeah. . But Lindsay. I gotta tell you, the most common piece of feedback I get about from our show is either something that's like a quality check, like people saying they enjoy it, or just people saying they find your voice soothing.
So I feel like I want you to know that people love. Your voice.
Lindsay: You're just talking about your mom, aren't you? I'm
Aron: not. Although my mom also loves you. .
Matt: You guys have great voices. Your voices sound good like you're, you're made for this.
Lindsay: That is, Oh my God. So nice. Yeah.
Matt: You sound like, you sound like you do this all the time.
Like, I mean, I guess you do. You know,
Aron: big reveal for you. Wait, okay, so if you had that voice, would you immediately go into movie trailers? Like, I feel like that would be my new career. I would just immediately start doing vo work. Well, yeah, that's the thing.
Matt: You'd be, You'd crush it, right? You'd be
Lindsay: the most, No, you would be like a voiceover God of, Ooh, War , God of voiceovers.
Matt: You'd be doing like all the animated movies. You'd be like the monsters, You'd be the villas. It'd be kind of fun. I mean, if you can't turn, here's the thing. You can't turn it off. Right. Anything you say
Aron: suddenly and forever,
Matt: suddenly and forever. It's, it's like you can't, in a moment of passion with someone, you, you're gonna sound kind of wild.
You know what I mean? Like, you can't be like tender, you can't be like, I had a really nice time tonight. Like, you can't, like, you have to like, Oh, I heard
Lindsay: a really nice,
Matt: like yell. Yeah. Like, you can't, like flirt. You can't tell secrets. You can't, There's like certain things you can't do if you're always kind of sounding like you're at war.
But does that factor into your, your bottom line here? It factors into mine, I think.
Lindsay: I think that's a
Aron: really important, It's like somebody has to have a real like fetish for flirting with ven diesel. Rob is saying here, if you're going to, if you're gonna like beating, I mean you could go to all the comic conventions and find all like the die hard.
Fans of that kind of era, and you could just hit the baseball out of the field. Isn't that a sports thing? Yeah. Knock it outta the park.
Lindsay: You guys could do this and. Take it on and it wouldn't change your life that much. In fact, may bring a bunch of amazing things into your life. Mm-hmm. . Yeah, . But I don't feel like it would do that for me.
And maybe I'm being, I'm having like some sort of like limiting belief about what would happen to me if my voice was this way. But I don't, I don't want that. I like my voice. I'm like feeling very much like aerial right now. To bring it back to Little Mermaid. Oh, if I learned anything in my childhood, it's that if somebody's trying to like get you to give your voice away, you don't do it.
Matt: Interesting. So you're gonna have a high ticket price for this. Yeah. It would be concerning to see you. Like I'm looking at you now and this first time seeing it, if you talked like that, it would be pretty
Aron: crazy. It would be jarring. What did you think we looked like? So you've only ever listened to our show.
Yeah. How did you fantasize us looking? Well, first of
Matt: all, I wouldn't use the word fantasize, but I did. How did you fantasize? I listened to, I listened to you guys this morning and I thought, I'm not gonna lie. A little bit like how you look like I'm not, Wow. Not, not over under, in like what I was thinking, like about the right age, About the right.
Like, look, yeah, you guys, you guys have good voices and they, they, I don't know, this might sound insulting, but they match you, if that makes sense. Like, I'm not, I'm not shocked.
Lindsay: Safe answer Matt. Real safe answer.
Aron: Although I thought that Lindsay's voice would've matched Aaron's body in the other way around, that's the only difference. Speaking of Ariel and Little Mermaid, I actually want have a little like quick short race talk here because I've never been able to voice this. Oh God. An interesting thing about God worse, credos is like a big burley like white dude, but he's voiced by like a massive masculine like black voice.
Is that true? Yeah. Yeah. And I've just, I've seen that. Maybe I'm gonna be wrong, if someone will fact check me Rob, feel free to tell me if I'm totally off here . But like, I think I've seen interviews with the voice actor of Credos and it's just always wowed me that like each version of God of war, it's always, I never played all the other ones, but like he's a white dude fighting.
Greek stuff and is voiced by like a really badass, masculine like black dude, and I've never heard anyone question that being weird, and it's always kind of like been a thing for me as like a big gamer in the community. It's
Matt: like, Huh, interesting. Yeah, it's the first time hearing about it. I always kind of thought it like transcended that because I thought, and I guess I'm wrong on this, I always thought he was like some type of God, like he was.
He transcended human races. You know what I mean? Like, I thought he was
Aron: like, I think he, he might've, maybe he did. I think he might be qu Oh, Rob's saying here, he, he is black. His name is Christopher, Judge. Uh, well there you go. Where I was going with all this is like, then we would each, we, all three of us are white.
We would then also have the voice of a black man. And to me that would be very weird. All of a sudden it's like I've taken a sum of money to appropriate a voice of someone that's not my own culture also. Yeah.
Matt: But I'm not digging in the scenario you've laid out. I don. I think we sound like him. I don't think we are like the voice of that, You know what I mean?
It's
Lindsay: like, Yeah. You're taking on his like timber of Yeah.
Matt: We still, we sound exactly like him in my mind, but I don't think people would go, Oh, he's doing credos. You know, just be like, your, your voice is like
Aron: that. You're not doing an offensive impression of Christopher Judge. Voice of credos.
Matt: Exactly, exactly.
That would've been the, the craziest starting question, if you had to sound like Christopher Judge, Lesser known voice actor
Aron: for the rest of. I will tell you should Google him later or like YouTube. Him, he, the guy's the most badass voice. I feel like
Matt: people like that end up doing like so many characters too.
When you hear about, like, people that do like cartoons and shit, they do like, 80 different characters like it, it's wild. The people
Aron: that do those jobs, it's always fun to like see who's done them too. Like Mark Hamill's done a million or Yeah, I know he does a lot. Nigel Thornberry on the Wild Thorn Bees was, um, Lindsay, do you remember his name?
You're pulling off
Lindsay: the Wild Thornberries.
Aron: Yeah. Uh, Who's Nigel Thornberry. It was like crazy. A Mr. Bean or something? No, it wasn't Mr. Hold on. We're gonna get. Tim Curry. Tim Curry was the voice of Nigel Thornberry.
Matt: Wow. That's fun. That's a deep pool. Wow. I would
Aron: not have known that. Yeah, I didn't either because I didn't know it.
You guys wanna talk Benjamins? Oh yeah. I got, I got
Lindsay: a
Aron: number. You got
Lindsay: some Benjis. I don't wanna be a cop out on this one, but I just forever
Aron: Don't you do it. Don't you do it Lindsey. No.
Lindsay: Suddenly and forever, you know what I wanna say? There's no price, there's nothing. There's nothing you could pay me to do this.
Aron: Whoa. Is this your second time saying it? Second or second time? It. My second time. Second time ever saying it.
Lindsay: It's my second or third time to ever say
Aron: that. Lindsay's usually down to play in the sandbox with the other kids. I've really thought long and hard about this. You've thought long and hard about a question you didn't read in advance.
Lindsay: yes, but also I've been thinking about the importance of one's voice and what it's worth since I was a little ass baby. So yes, I have been thinking about it for a long time. There's no price. If it was, if it was just for a little bit, if it was when I wanted to have the voice, I could have it. If it was for a year, I would, I would have a different approach.
But forever, I don't think so. I just don't think.
Matt: I can't blame you for that. Here's what I'm thinking. I forgot that I like to sing from time to time, and I do that sometimes to make money, and I was like, Hmm, if I sounded like that, that whole part of my life would kind of be over. I mean, I guess you could sing if you sounded like that, but you would, It's like a very specific type of singing, so like I think I'd have to go pretty big because that would just, it would take a lot of my happiness away, so I, I'm gonna.
I'm gonna go a little wild here and I'm gonna say you'd have to pay me, uh, 20 million. Ooh, I like it. 20 million. That's enough that I feel like that's a whole avenue of my life that I'll never get to get to explore again. And that's, that's me sitting on the bench of. Of making music
Lindsay: interesting. I feel like Aron is gonna be low because he's like, This sounds fucking
Matt: cool.
He's like 19 bucks or something. Yeah. .
Aron: Well, everyone, It does sound appealing. . Yeah. I would love it. This sounds great, but it would change a lot about me, including the fact that I would then be. Hosting a podcast with one of my favorite animals on the planet. But we would both sound just like credos, and that would be weird.
Lindsay, you're the, you're the animal I was talking about.
Lindsay: I'm not accepting the voice. So it would be me and credos voice.
Aron: Ooh. That could be the name of the show. But also singing would be weird for me, but I feel like I would lean into it, like I would join. Pagan death cult metal band, and just be like, the darkness here.
Do you feel in your bones? Jane ticket, tick, tick, tick, tick. I will wake you from the cradle of God's grace ticket. Tick, tick, and raise you with Satan's eyes. No, no, no. Like I could see it working. You could
Matt: definitely, in that genre, you could, you could excel with this. This
Lindsay: question was just pulled out of your diary
Aron: Yeah. You know, there's so much glitter on my diary. ,
Lindsay: like glitter credos on the cover?
Aron: No, but like to me it's like, okay, it's pretty much like either that or join a band that covers Do host. Yeah. 10 million. Okay. I think that's fair. Now here's what gets really interesting. I wanna read a couple of the numbers here that have been sent in from our listeners.
Brad said 10. Thousand dollars. Dude, and Brad said, I already have a deep voice, but changing it, changing it completely to the credos would make me sound so badass. Brad is ready for this change.
Lindsay: Yeah, I kind of want this for Brad.
Aron: Oh, these are so interesting. Yeah. And then Skyler. Put $50,000 and said, As a trans man, this would be awesome, as my hormones can only do so much, would then want cash to help offset the rest of my transition.
That is, I want this
Lindsay: for Skylar now too.
Aron: Yeah. Wow. This is awesome. Matt has agreed to donate to all of his, uh, payout from today's episode for Skylar. So Skylar, you're a hero. I'd be happy to. I feel like we're just taking a little stroll guys down. Question lane. I wanna pick up the pace. Lindsey, are you.
You, uh, hot Toro to
Lindsay: that pot. I wanna pick up the face and flip it and reverse it, guys. What is your price to jog, walk, run, and hike? Backwards for the next year.
Aron: Hate it. Hate it, Hate it, Hate it, Hate it, hate it. Hate it. Whoa. Hate it.
Lindsay: You're having a strong reaction, .
Matt: So any, any movement on your feet, basically you have to do it backwards for
Aron: a year.
For a year. It doesn't sound fun. So in college I was obsessed with going backwards. Like in your grades or . Very funny. No. Um, so I was a, this will not surprise anyone who knows me. I was a campus tour guide for a bit at my college. And I got really into walking backwards, although I went to college in San Diego and I remember I was giving a campus tour and a mom asked me how frequently it snows in San Diego.
And I thought that was a very weird question. But I got really into walking backwards and I started skateboarding backwards and I started like jogging backwards. I got really into going backwards cause I wanted to get really good at talking to people while going back. Are you serious? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So then I would walk backwards while talking to friends all the time.
All the time. I still do it sometimes, and to me, I've already done it. I don't want to do it again. I got over it. I grew up into the man, the bashy in of masculinity. You now have established with me in today's episodes, so I don't know, how do you guys feel about backwards billing?
Matt: I don't mind the backwards movement.
Physically what I'd be concerned, like I live in New York and I walk everywhere I go. I don't have a car. I, I, I never had a car. And like, I don't wanna walk backwards everywhere I go. Cause I'm gonna get in people's way. I'm gonna cause problems. I'm gonna be annoying. People are gonna be like, What is that guy doing?
I also run a lot. I really like running and like, I don't wanna run backwards all the time. like, this one's a real. Real stinker of a question. I don't know. I I, I don't wanna go back to the same ballpark as the last one, but I feel like it's gonna be a lot of money even for a year. I feel like that's a, that's, that's a commitment.
That's a shitty
Lindsay: year. Yeah. Look, I'm all, I'm just trying to think about what the workarounds are gonna be. I'm thinking. Roller blades, roller skates. I'm thinking car, car shore. I'm thinking skateboard. I'm thinking, How can I get out? Of the four things on the list that we're talking about, jog, walk, run, hike, bikes, like finding ways to move around that.
You know, in my apartment, walking backwards is one thing, but the minute I go outside, I'm popping on the blades. Yeah, .
Matt: Yeah. I guess that's a little cheat, right? You can like, as long as you're not doing one of those four things, you can go forward.
Lindsay: Yeah. But it's not cheap to be a hobbyist at that level.
yeah. Yeah. If you're gonna have a blade, a skate, a board, a bike, and all this stuff. I don't want some chinsy nonsense. I want the best of the best. If I'm gonna have to do this every day for a year, it'll become part of my personality. It's gonna be like, Oh, it's the girl who's always on roller skates. It's the girl who's always.
Bored around or walking backwards, . So I wanna get the nice things, but also at the time, at the times, I do have to walk backwards. I'll be far more prone to accidents, meaning I could get hurt, meaning I want to be financially. Compensated for any potential injury that may occur.
Aron: I think you're gonna get hurt because Roller Derby's been calling your name since the day you were born.
Lindsay: Oh yeah. I am not really into contact sports, but there is something appealing about roller derby. Just all the ladies in outfits in the funny names. I think I would have to do something to my place, to my apartment to make it very like backwards walking proof. You know? I would have to like find maybe softer furnitures
Aron: Train your dog to help navigate your backwards times. Oh yeah. You
Matt: would've. To walk the dog backwards. That's pretty funny. Oh, I'm skating that dog. Oh, you're gonna skate the dog. Okay.
Lindsay: I'm skating the. What are those things called where you just stand on them and you have the little A scoot.
Aron: A little
Lindsay: scoot.
No, not a scooter. One of those likey put embarrassing things where you just like, Oh,
Aron: a rascal. You get on a
Lindsay: rascal. Aeg,
Aron: aeg, aeg. Oh, I thought you were talking about the thing that like people sit in at the grocery store with the, the little baske, the rascal things.
Matt: He could do one of those too. I mean, that's not a bad life.
Yeah, but
Lindsay: also, and I'm, and I don't mean to. Embarrass myself with this, but one of my most favorite things about life is a long walk on the beach .
Aron: Okay. That's not embarrassing. That's beautiful. Do a short one
Lindsay: backwards. Less effective. I think, uh, you know, it would be very mentally harmful for me to lose out on my beach walks, so I know I have to really factor that into my price.
Matt: How often are you walking on the beach?
Lindsay: Oh, every weekend. Every weekend.
Matt: Really? Oh yeah, man, LA's crazy. I gotta experience that. It's
Aron: nice. It depends on the person. Matt. I live right by the beach and I go to the beach a few times a
Matt: year. Yeah. Yeah. Interesting. I never think about that. I go to Rockaway sometimes,
Aron: but yeah, when you take it for granted, I think.
Right. I've
Lindsay: become a real beach
Matt: guy. That's cool though. That would probably be my personality if I was out there. You'd be Lindsay? Yeah, well, not fully, but yeah, I would go to the beach, probably , I think I have a solution for this, this one, and then maybe it's like a, a little bit of a cheat, but I would think I would, I would take some money.
I don't know what the number is yet, but it wouldn't be anything crazy and then I would do, I. I would walk across America. Backwards. Ooh,
Aron: For Reversed Gump?
Matt: Yes. Wow, That was the pun of the century. for Reversed Gump. Um, I think it would be kind of like, do you think anyone's, I mean, maybe we can get some research on this, but do you think anyone's ever walked across the country backward?
Probably.
Aron: Off to the internet. Maybe someone's
Matt: done it, but that you could be the first person to do that and take your time. Explore some small towns and it wouldn't feel like you're walking backwards, cuz that was like your whole thing that year. You know?
Aron: September 6th, 2007, Bill Cahan has walked backwards across the entire us.
Stop. God damn this man. We need to find him and beat him up. Uh, wait, wait. And then walking backwards around the world. January, 2020. Oh no, this was a different one. It looks like this is a thing. Wow. Walking around the world backwards. What? This guy tried to do it once. Oh, tried, is what I'm hearing. Let me tell you the story of a guy named Plenty l Wino.
I'm not kidding
Lindsay: Plenty. L Wino is a very
Aron: cool name. P L E N N I E L. Wino. That's a person
Lindsay: that was born to walk backwards a long, long way.
Matt: Yeah. It sounds like his name is written backwards or something. .
Aron: Yeah. Yeah. He remains the Guinness record holder for greatest extent of reverse pedestrianism. Whoa.
Apparently the podcast, the doll up on episode 4 93 covers this, so I'm gonna go listen to that later. But yeah, this guy was a backwards walker boy.
Matt: Well, there goes my idea, it's not cool to be like, someone's done this already, but I'm gonna try to like, I don't know, maybe I wouldn't walk across the country.
Aron: Yeah, he started in New York City and got to Turkey, I think.
Lindsay: What? Wait, why are you thinking this is a man? Because when I hear the name plenty, I'm thinking lady,
Aron: You're thinking lady. Plenty. No, he walked. Oh, he walked backwards From Santa Monica, California to Istanbul, Turkey. He died in 1993 at the age of 98.
Plenty. Lawrence Wino lived a life,
Matt: Everybody, I don't Wow. Understand Santa Monica. And he found himself in Iim Bowl. You said ? Is that what it
Aron: was? Do you want me to cover more of
Matt: this? No, I'm just, I'm just trying to understand, I mean, I'm not a genius, but I do feel like there's water in the way and I'm curious what the.
What the plan of attack was. You know what I mean? He,
Aron: he walked to Boston and then he took a working passage on a ship to Germany under a cruel chief steward who worked wino mercilessly. From there, he walked through Germany, south to Turkey, where he was told by authorities that he would have to leave the country for his own safety.
A wealthy Italian paid for his return to Santa Monica, California, where he then walked backwards to Abilene. He wore out 13 pairs of shoes on the. What
Matt: year did this happen? I'm just curious. It sounds like some old
Lindsay: shit , but guys, guys, he had a pair of reverse looking mirrored glasses. I didn't even think of special glasses to help see behind you.
Matt: Yeah, you'd have to be, you'd have to have little like side
Aron: mirror type things. Wait, wait. Okay. I have a trivia question for you guys. Okay. He appeared on the Johnny Carson Show on July 20th, 1976 to talk about it. How much did they pay him for his appearance? Oh God.
Matt: 50
Lindsay: bucks. Yeah. $75 American. Yeah.
Aron: $342. Oh.
That's more than I thought in 76.
Matt: Wow. That's a lot of money back then. I feel like Johnny
Lindsay: Carson is a benevolent man.
Matt: Yeah, . God bless him. , sorry to send us on this tangent. Sorry I didn't No, this is a great tangent. I, I didn't realize what I was getting into.
Aron: Hey, to both of you, Lindsay. I agree. It was great.
Matt. Thanks for the apology.
Matt: Yeah, . I'm always there to
Lindsay: apologize. I'm totally naming my next dog. Plenty Wingo.
Matt: Wino is a good name for like a pet bird or something? .
Aron: Wino, Yeah. Yeah. God, that's that's a name by the way. Plenty. P L E N N I E. That's great. Yeah. I can't tell if he's like, Like a rodeo clown name or a tripper.
Lindsay: He was a small diner owner from Abilene, Texas. Uh, I
Matt: mean that's, that's Barry in the lead though, like call him a small diner owner after what he is done.
Aron: He's buried in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Matt: Oh, maybe we can all go and pay our
Lindsay: respects. You know, every next time I'm in Wichita Falls,
Aron: I will . Well, we always like to finish segment two by reminding of you guys don't listen to the DA podcast.
Just stick with us. We'll give you what you need. .
Matt: Yeah, we'll give you the quickest summary of people reading
Lindsay: and we'll do it faster and way more chaotic with no preparation. Nope. .
Aron: Okay. Do you guys have a price for back being a backwards Billy for a
Lindsay: year? Yeah, I've got a good price one year, $700,000.
That's a lot. Well, I'm, I'm getting soft furniture and I also am . I have to train my dog to, to lead me around. I have to get reverse mirror glasses and lots of different skating rolling items and, uh, you know, really good health insurance.
Matt: I'm going with 250,000. That's all I would, I would need to feel like I got my, my year of walking backwards.
Aron: just a quarter mill. Nice quarter
Matt: mill. Nice cool quarter mill. It's a clean slice of pie. Yeah. I don't have to work, I don't have to do anything, and I'd still live very, very comfortably. I think that's, that's
Aron: about right. I'm gonna say 75 grand. Whoa. I would quote a lot more if I was gonna pull Xerxes and just hire , the whole squad of people to hand carry me everywhere on a big platform.
Like there's a part of me that wants to live that life. Hire maybe a whole like make way for Prince Ali, kind of intro wherever I go and I arrive on an elephant and everyone's cheering and I miss Robin Williams. Anyway. Um, yeah, I'd say 75 grand. And Lindsay, put your eyebrows down. . And there you go. Too low.
Too low. There you go. Perfect. Threaded the needle. ? Yeah, I'd say 75 grand. It's not too bad. I would probably get a few fun devices like the one wheel. Oh yeah. You
Matt: guys ever ridden one of those or, Yeah,
Lindsay: I could see you on a penny far thing. A penny far thing. What's
Aron: a penny
Lindsay: far thing? Isn't a penny far thing?
One of those things with like the big, uh, front wheel and tc Tiny back. Oh my God.
Aron: I think
Matt: you might be right. Yeah,
Aron: it definitely is. We're an audio only podcast, but we'll have the editors stick in an image of it onto the episode. ,
Matt: you know what it is though, if you're listening, It's the big, big, you know, with the big old front.
Yeah, Yeah. People used to ride those. I went to school in Nashville and it was like, Peak, like when people were using the word hipster all the time and stuff. It was like peak hipster culture when I went to school and like people would, Oh, sure. People would ride those around. There was like a few people that you would see riding around campus and it always looked insane on
Aron: a penny farthing.
Yeah, that's the weirdest flex financially for anyone to do. It's
Lindsay: a strange, strange thing to, I saw, I used to see a lot of unicycles, especially when I lived in New York, a lot of unicycles because then if they, you know, they could just pop it over their shoulder and get on the subway. I saw many unicycles with
Aron: mustaches.
They always have mustaches. I see a lot of those one wheel things
Matt: though here I see those all the time. The one wheel's popular, they're becoming very popular and the people that ride them look like they're, they're wearing like battle armor. Like it's very intense when you see someone like whipping down the street in one of those things.
But Are they remote operated? I think so, yeah. I think they like hold the little thingy and they're
Aron: just cruising. No though, No. The one wheel, it's like aeg, you lean forward on it, you know, it auto bounces. The one you're thinking of is the, like the long board with the controller. You could, Those are also, I would probably do that.
I would just take the long board.
Matt: Yeah, I see people going like, They gotta be going like 30, 40 miles an hour on this thing. I'm like, It's dangerous. I'll be honest. It's so scary. Like, I'm like, I would never in my life just stand on one wheel and just go flying down the street, but God bless 'em. Yeah.
Aron: I have a question for you too.
Mm-hmm. , do you want to hear what Tyler had to say or what Dennis had to say first? I'm looking at two interesting numbers here.
Matt: Dennis. Dennis. Yeah. I think we need Dennis.
Aron: All right. Dennis said $450,000. And wrote, the walking bit of this question is the toughest part of this, but to pull from an early episode, maybe I'll just wear roller blades for the next year.
Ooh, Dennis. Ooh, this has
Lindsay: come up. Ooh, Dennis, pulling from the Gelle episode. I love that. Ooh. Oh.
Aron: And then Tyler here put $5 million and I'm gonna read you what Tyler had to say. This fully changes my life. I work in a warehouse moving boxes and equipment all day and would not be able to carry everything backwards for a full year.
I don't have many skills, so would want more than life changing money to help with this change. Maybe I'd spend the year studying for something else or building a business. Wow, I want this for Tyler. So, We believe in you,
Matt: Tyler. Yeah, I like that. People give you their backs, stories when they, when they think it's really, You got some great fans.
Lindsay: Yeah, I'm like getting emotional thinking about Tyler going back to school. I want that.
Matt: I got Skylar and Tyler with some real good rationale.
Aron: Well, that one was Dennis and Tyler.
Matt: Well, I'm saying like previously Yeah. Someone like gave you some real. Backstory. I'm out here. Like I'd walk across the world like an idiot.
these people.
Lindsay: I know you're talking about gear. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, sorry, I'm an asshole. Inflatable furniture . We should have Tyler
Aron: on the show and not me. Matt, you want to help us do a real quick bit of housekeeping and announcements and then we'll keep on chugging. Yeah, whatever you need. It's a light lift for you, man.
So pretty much as Lindsay and I want to just do some positive affirmations real fast with all of you guys. We always like to do an episode here and just tell you that people like Tyler what make our day? Yeah,
Lindsay: you're just say it with me. I'm a good person and I'm doing the right thing by listening to human values.
Aron: If you wanna keep helping support us so we can have people like Matt, just become a regular 24 7 live stream on here at a rate of $800,000 per hour. Help us out, share rate, review the podcast and keep on sending your questions, guys, your questions, your ideas, your answers, your numbers, Human values podcast dot.
And by the way, the next question we have was submitted to our website from one of our listeners, Lindsay. Oh my gosh, who sent it? What's going
Lindsay: on? I'm so excited. Okay, so this one was submitted by at, I have notes, which is a very good handle if I do say so myself. I have notes as just, ugh, chef's guest.
Okay. Here's our question from, I have notes. What's your price to travel back in time for 24 hours? You weren't allowed to change anything, so no investing or fixing regrets. Just live it all over again knowing the outcomes.
Aron: Let's break it down. Hmm. So you're going back a day, you can't change anything. No investing, fixing problems.
Matt: Wait, is that, is that your interpretation of the 24 hours? Like you're going back literally to the last day or it's like a 24 hour period?
Aron: I have notes actually wrote to us after the question. No investing or fixing regrets. Just live it all over again knowing the outcomes. So those are rules, rules given by a
Lindsay: listener.
It just says back in time for, So you can go to any 24 hour period in your lifetime that you wanna go back and. Oh,
Aron: I did not think of it that way. I thought you, like right now, go back 24 hours ago and you have to just relive it. Yeah. I
Matt: was like, I was like, I, I don't need to go see what I did yesterday.
Wasn't that
Lindsay: cool? ? Yeah. Yesterday I was like, I did a lot of dishes.
Aron: What's your price to relive a moment in your life for 24 hours? As long as you don't mess with it, you just get to relive it. This sounds lovely if you do it right.
Matt: Gosh, this is a really interesting
Lindsay: question. Do you have your same consciousness that you have right now?
Like if I, for instance, was like, I wanna be a baby. I wanna go back and be a baby for a minute.
Matt: I wanna go be a baby.
Lindsay: I wanna be a baby. Would I have my brain right now
Matt: I'm picturing it like you're like a ghost in the room watching it. That's how I'm picturing it.
Lindsay: Like, oh, I was imagining it like I'm in the body and having like a dual experience of like, it's happening in real time.
But I am also, I'm kind of like a bystander in my own brain. But what
Aron: do you want? Like what do you wanna do as a baby again, like it gets weird, dude. Don't
Lindsay: you wanna ever be small and held ?
Aron: Like I know that you always, whenever we hang out, like sometimes we'll start crying and be like, I just miss breastfeeding and I know it's weird that that's what you want.
That's
Lindsay: not really what I'm into, especially. Um, like my mom and stuff, but I do think that, like, I also wasn't into that. You, it's a datey. I I was more of a formula baby. So like, don't try to, don't try to nipple mom, shame me. Which is why I have mental health
Aron: problems now. Say, wait, say it again with me one more time.
Three, two. Mental health problems, .
Lindsay: But I don't know. I think it would be fun to be super tiny and be like, What are these little arms doing? And like be really aware of it. Because I feel like back then I had, I didn't have the awareness to know how cool it was to just have this like jiggly body and everyone holds you and stuff.
Aron: Yeah. Do you just wanna be held ? Not
Lindsay: now, but I feel like, I want to remember what that was like a little bit.
Matt: You want the lack of, of responsibility? The lack of like, like going back to not really being aware of. Mortality and, And taxes
Lindsay: and Yeah. Like have your like brain feel so free and like see everything for the first time.
Like what is a cup? Sure. You know what I mean? Like what is a chair? That's the
Matt: time to go back to the first time you process what a chair.
Aron: Oh man. I was on Instagram the other night just scrolling. I don't know if you guys ever do that before bed, but just scrolling away. And I came on this image and it just said, just, just remember at some point somebody put you down for the last time.
And I was like, What an awful thing to post at like
11:00 PM on a weeknight to everybody. .
Matt: Yeah, that's kinda, I, I see those things every now and then. I'm like, there's some bleak shit out there. Like, I'm like, who's making
Lindsay: these people are really harnessing some darkness.
Matt: Yeah. Like these, these are memes that can stay in the meme drawing board.
Like, I don't know. They're for,
Aron: Yeah, . All right, so let's do some time travel. So Lindsay's going back to be a chubby little flubby baby. Well, I haven't
Lindsay: decided if that's what I'm gonna do with my 24 hours yet, but it's where my mind went to initially and then I was just thinking about baby stuff. Matt, what would you.
Matt: In my lifetime. It's really tricky. I think I would like to go back and see my parents when they were like younger, but I was alive, you know? But I didn't really think of them as my parents, you know? Like, or I guess I should say I didn't think of them as people. Cause I was like a kid, you know? Like a baby?
Yeah. Or like an infant. Or even like up to like being like 12, they're still like your parents were now, I don't know. I have a relationship with my parents now where like they're still my parents. I know them as like adults that have like, that have lives and like personalities like, but as a kid it'd be kind of interesting to go see them like when I was like five and see like what their day to day was like.
Like an average day. Yeah, totally. What was my, what was my family like when they were like in their thirties? You know, like that's something I'll never know except for photos and stuff. I'm like, that'd be kind of fun to see. Not even a particular like vacation or like a very special Christmas or something.
Nothing like that, just. I dunno. A random ass Tuesday, I guess. I don't
Lindsay: know. But also, wouldn't it be fun on a random ass Tuesday to be like, remember school and like remember toys, dude?
Matt: Yeah, yeah. See, But I'm different. I don't want be in my body. I just wanna be in the corner of the room as like an apparition, just
Lindsay: kind of watching it all.
I see. I see. You're just watching from
Aron: afar. Well, it's like there's a script, right? You just follow the script. Yeah. I'm on like the
Matt: rails of the day and I'm just following the, Yeah.
Aron: Also, if you're young enough, you're not gonna mess it up that bad unless you do something awful like kill someone. Like you're gonna be fine.
Matt: Trying to think. I'm sure if I had all the time in the world, I could come with the perfect 24 hour. Thing to revisit, but in general, I think it'd just be, this is like a gift. I think it's the wrong question as far as like how much would you have to be paid? Like Yeah.
Lindsay: Like there's no real consequence for it.
Yeah. And I feel like other than, I mean, I'm trying to think if there was a consequence, like what if you go back to a day and like a memory that you thought was this like magical, wonderful memory actually is not what it was like, not what you thought it. Then that could like change the course of your life and like this thing that was so meaningful that like changed you in some way when you were a child, wasn't what
Aron: you thought it was.
Oh my god. See, I think you can also like less, less. About yourself. Like I have a memory from my childhood. I really wanna relive cuz I want to know the truth of what happened, which is like, remember seeing a bear and I don't know if it was real or just like a kid memory, but then there's this other thing where like I was eight years old during the OJ Simpson Chase.
I kind of want to just be a little kid and just fucking watch OJ get chased on the highway and go through the murder trial. I'm just like, I just wanna get a piece of that. Like I just wanna choose some memor moment from history that I was alive for that I don't remember vividly cause I just didn't care at the time.
Matt: Yeah, that's a great answer. I didn't even think about like, Observing like a huge like national story as someone who like understands what it means. That'd be interesting.
Aron: Like it, it would be that there's, it's a little grim, but there's another part of me also, like I, I'm sure we all do, we're all enough.
Like I remember nine 11 vividly, but like there's a part of me that wants to go back now as an adult knowing what we know of all the political intertwining things going on around it, and just watch it, watch that day unfold. In a less emotionally elevated way. I mean it still would be triggering and intense, but like you can be grounded knowing you're just time traveling and there to watch.
Yeah, I don't know. There's stuff like that that I think would be really interesting to see, again with fresh eyes as an adult. Yeah,
Matt: I was just thinking. How cool would it be to go see like a famous like sporting event too, like Michael Jordan winning like a championship or something. It like it has to be something you
Aron: did though.
Oh,
Matt: it has to be a part of my life. . I can't just, I can't just show up at like the arena in Chicago, but it does say,
Lindsay: it says live it all over again. Live it all over again knowing the outcomes. I see.
Matt: See. Okay. I thought it was like any time in our life we could
Aron: pick like a, Actually, I guess you could. No.
Why don't you? It's just that like you can't, Yes. You aren't allowed to change anything. I, I think it's very open for interpretation. I think I have notes sent it to us knowing that this was an intelligently nuanced. Form of jazz free flow. Well then it's like,
Matt: yeah, what do you pick? Do you pick something from your life or do you go see like a historical event?
Like up close? I don't
Lindsay: know. I'm gonna go see a dinosaur, duh.
Aron: Oh, if it's not your own life. Yeah. That's
Matt: not your lifetime. That's too far
Aron: back. Oh, I, I'm going crucifixion. Actually, no. Well, let's actually, yeah. Although I'm Jewish, so maybe it wouldn't go well for me if I went there, but
Matt: like, I think most people did.
Okay. There's only three guys that really got, I think, on that. That day. That day. Sure, sure, sure. You gotta make sure you pick the right year. You can't flood it. You can't add a zero
Aron: at the wrong place. I would go back in time to whenever Lindsay chooses to be a little baby, to be one of their family friends who holds Lindsay for the first time.
And I would hold Lindsay for the first time as a baby. Stop
Lindsay: it. That's so creepy. I love it. Well,
Matt: that, that knocks out both your things. You wanna be held as a baby. He can be the
Aron: one to do it. Yeah, I would just, I wanna be an adult and I just wanna. I just want, Lindsay, I just wanna hold you as a newborn and just cool at you and make sure that you always feel okay from that.
It's
Lindsay: both sweet and so creepy.
Matt: Yeah, it's been great. Guys. I actually have to head out, so take it easy. . Yeah, it's been so
Aron: nice. Take care. All right, so I'm gonna say my price is $0. I would do this, I would do this for free, gladly.
Matt: I agree. Zero.
Lindsay: I just have one more question. Is my whole body going back in time?
Uh, or is my like physical form staying like in my house in Los Angeles and then like I'm having some sort of like astro projection? Yeah. If my body is just like staying here unconscious for 24 hours, I would really wanna like have some sort. Security here. Somebody to watch bagel like really make sure that nobody's tried to like Rob me.
Matt: I think you could arrange it for a once in a lifetime opportunity. I think you can call a friend
Aron: over to watch it. Matt, you have no idea how she feels about this dog. She wouldn't. Sure, sure. Maybe bagel comes with you. I don't know. Oh.
Matt: The way you both cast in unison. Oh, bagel time traveler. Little wish.
Aron: We've been talking this way together for longer than any duo of humans should ever have done. I love it. You're very instinct.
Lindsay: Also, we have a lot of strong feelings about bagel, so
Aron: Oh, sure. I still remember the bottle of Trader Joe's, everything bagel seasoning that I was holding in my hand when you were on the phone with me saying you just bought a dog.
And us then talking about everything bagel seasoning, and then you, then the next day saying, I'm naming her Candace Bergen Bagel. Whoa,
Matt: what a full name. I love it.
Lindsay: It's a full name. It's a woman's name. That's a,
Matt: that's a lady's
Lindsay: name. I would do it for a hundred dollars. Because I would want to buy a really nice dinner for whoever was watching my, um, lifeless
Aron: body.
That's sweet. It'll be me. I'll be holding little baby you and I'll come back and then I'll protect, Don't you? It's gonna be so loving and creepy. ,
Matt: can I ask you guys? How much would you pay to have this experience? Can we kind of reverse it for this one?
Aron: The price to pay for it. I feel like the price for this kind of thing would be pretty expensive.
Like a million dollar kind of piece of technology or something. Like for the price, people are paying to go fly in space for an hour or two. Yeah,
Lindsay: this is like a Bezos thing that you get to do. This is not something little, Lindsay,
Matt: don't worry about the budget. Like how much would you.
Aron: Hey, given our current financial situation, Yeah, I guess
Matt: that's a hard question to answer, but
Aron: I'd pay like a grand,
Matt: I'd pay a lot, but yeah, you're right.
It's like a basis thing. We're not gonna get invited to go to the 24 hour time travel thing. .
Lindsay: Yeah, sorry. They're gonna be like, we're gonna bring the scientists back to learn what the, where this thing came from. They're
Matt: not gonna send the podcasters on scientific exploration .
Lindsay: We're like, Oh my God, you guys look at this ridiculous boot
Aron: All right, let's look at what some of the fans out there had to say. Let's do it. Let's do two more of those. All right. Winston . Winston said, No amount as a black man. No . Kyle said a hundred thousand dollars. There are a few mysteries that I would love to see if I could uncover. I wouldn't need to change it, but at least when I came back to present day, I would know the answer.
I think the big one is Amelia Earhart. I know how to fly a plane, so I would follow her at a distance and see where she crashed. Maybe when I came back I would try to find the plane body, et cetera. Wow. Kyle's
Lindsay: out here trying to solve the mysteries of, uh, civilization. I like
Aron: it. Yeah, that's fascinat. and I am biting my tongue cause I could eat another 20 minutes of our show.
Talking to you guys about Amelia Earhart. I know and theories about what happened to her and Lindsay knows that I like this one a lot. This topic. Listen, there comes a time in a man's life where he has to learn his value. When it's time to happen, it's told to him by a lady who will one day be a baby again and held,
Lindsay: I don't know if I would be a baby.
It was just the first thing I thought of
Aron: and I like this idea. Okay. I just love this idea of adult Lindsay getting to chill and a little baby for a day. Like I think that's great. I come to like,
Matt: Sorry, we've just like all this last question. We really unraveled to all of us thinking of it with our own rules and our own like experiences.
I love.
Aron: Yeah, well, you know, consistency is overrated. I'm just,
Lindsay: my therapist I'm sure will have a lot to say about that answer on my part.
Aron: Wait, does your therapist listen to this show?
Lindsay: No. She has boundaries.
Aron: what? What are those?
Lindsay: Okay. Well, I'm going to say what the totals were in a descending order. So starting with the person who asked for the most money to do everything.
Total and the top of the heap is Matt at 20.25 million total. a hunk of cash. Congratulations. Thank you. Real chunk of change. Gotta get paid. This is a man who knows his own worth.
Aron: Follow up with Rob after he'll. He'll, he'll set up the payment with you. Will do, Will
Lindsay: do. Then we have Aron at 10,075,000 doll
Aron: hairs.
Thank you. A respectable. Financial load. Yeah, sure. Why not face Lindsey? I just,
Matt: You can say it. No one wants to hear the word load at
Aron: the . I always try to work the word load into the end of every episode.
Lindsay: Let's going. I hate
Matt: it when you say load. We started with big butthole. Now we're, now we're wrapping it up with loads.
Then I call it wrapping it up with loads
Aron: broth, but whole but whole bath. Ew.
Matt: My God. We started strong. We hadn't
Aron: strong, I'll tell you that. And then Lindsay, as the Cheap Goat. The
Lindsay: cheap goat, I had just $700,100 because I didn't wanna sound like cratos for the rest of my life. That's our numbers. That's the totals.
I like it. I think we did a good job.
Aron: We did it. That's entertainment, baby Showbiz, Waka wa. So speaking of show biz, entertainment, walka, walka, and magical fairy creatures that talk to you in the night in your own head, Matt, what's up in your
Matt: life? What's up in my life? Well, thank you for asking. I am, uh, currently working on some new music.
I'm working on some new writing projects that I can't yet discuss, but stay tuned. And if you wanna see some of the comedy I'm doing, the best place to go is on TikTok or on Instagram. I am at Matt Elle. Both of those accounts, and that's where I post most of my stuff. Oh, I also have a song out right now called Sunscreen that I'm really excited about.
And you can stream that, Spotify, Apple, any of those things. And that's under the artist named Bhel and it's called Sunscreens. Yeah, I love sunscreen. Yeah, no, then you'll love the track. It's right.
Lindsay: Amazing.
Aron: Thank you so much for coming on. Do you have a random memory from your childhood? You wanna end the.
Matt: No actually. All right,
Aron: great.
Matt: Thanks Matt. Love you guys. Bye. Bye.
Aron: I dunno if I believe in ghosts, but I feel like that episode will forever haunt me as a happy memory.
Lindsay: I feel so. Spooked by joy.
Aron: You really feel like you got boo shelled? Oh,
Lindsay: I'm like, Ah.
Aron: You know I do know. You know what else I know is how much fun we have making this show. You know what we love even more than that, all of you guys playing along, if you wanna join the fun, we're run as fast as you can.
