ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this Healthed lecture, Professor Rod Baber will provide methods of understanding and explaining risk in relation to MHT, particularly cardiovascular and cancer risks. Many patients, and indeed clinicians, are confused by data and descriptions of risk (or benefit), as well as terms such as probability, absolute risk, relative risk, odds ratio and hazard ratio. Prof Baber will unpack the terminology in a way that allows GPs to practically apply the understanding to their own decision making and to their patients to help them make informed decisions.
