Okay, we finally made it to our last group. Yeah, last element. I've loved our our signal. Our series Yeah. It's been really good. and even for somebody who's like an astrology person, I feel like I've learned a lot. So it's been fun. Yeah, I love any way I can learn about a a person or like how to better understand a person, I'm all in. So this is really good. Sure. all right, so everyone says the air signs live in their heads, but the mythology tells A different story. Gemini wasn't created to represent indecision. Libra wasn't created to represent people pleasing. Aquarius wasn't created to represent being quirky. They were created to explain something more powerful, how ideas can change the world. But across ancient cultures the sky wasn't just empty. it was where messages came from, where justice was imagined, and humanity looked for meaning beyond the earth. Today we're exploring the mythology behind Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, From twin brothers and divine scales to rebellious visionaries. visionaries. We are uncovering why the air signs have always been connected to communication, justice, and innovation. Because sometimes the most powerful force in mythology isn't a weapon, it's an idea. So fun. I mean, again, it encompasses these three really well. So I'm excited to dive in. and I think for you being a Virgo, it's like the mo it's the air sign of the earth signs. Yes. And so you're like, I like this. Yes, and I also am surrounded by air signs. Yes. Mom, dad, brother, sister, husband. I have a lot too. everyone in my life is pretty much a Libra, specifically. But I have Aquarius. A little bit of everybody. I have Gemini. I have a my sister's a Gemini. My mom's an Aquarius and my sister and two of my sister in laws are Libras. So I got a lot a lot of everybody going. A lot of air flowing around. I've got a lot of air. Yes. Which some like as a child It's probably harder to I was like, Yeah, man, you guys are you guys are a lot. Don't worry. I have a plan. I've got it under control. Don't worry. I'll do it. As an adult, I'm like, wow, I was probably really annoying to them. Yes. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I th I think an earth sign thrown into a air sign mix is definitely a juxtaposition. but again, probably for the better for everyone. You know? Yeah. Everybody learns something new when you're s when you're different, right? Yeah, that's true. as frustrating as it was. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. okay, so astrology basics. Before Before we dive into each sign, let's do our quick refresher here. Yeah. So if you've ever heard someone describe themselves As a fixed air sign, and thought, I have absolutely no idea what this means. This section is for you. First, the zodiac is divided into 12 signs: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn. Aquarius and Pisces. Those signs are grouped a few different ways. Yep. So the first is by element, as we've been, you know, covering here. This is how we've been doing it. Fire, our fire signs are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. The earth signs are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. Our water signs are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. Our air sign. today are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. Yeah. I think it's fun how we've grouped them up this way 'cause there's definitely like common themes. I'm sure people have noticed that as we've gone through. Yeah. the element tells a lot about the the signs as a as a whole and how they approach things, I think is really how I view their element. Like fire signs will will jump first. Yes. Water signs are like a little little They dive deep into into things and earth signs like keep everybody's reality in check essentially, right? And and I would s venture to say air signs kind of take us Kind of like our bridge signs, if you will. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is how I like to look at them. Yeah. Yeah. Good. That's a good way to put it. ancient cultures believe these elements represented different ways of experiencing the world. So air is associated with thought, communication, curiosity, perspective, and the invisible forces that connect people to one another. You can't hold it in your hands, but you can feel It's a fact, right? It carries voices across distances, it spreads ideas between cultures, and changes the course of history without ever taking any physical form, which is really cool. Unlike earth, which builds slowly, fire, which transforms dramatically, or water, which flows through emotion, air moves freely, it crosses borders, challenges assumptions, challenges assumptions, and reminds us that some of the most powerful things in the world. In mythology, air isn't just the wind. It's inspiration. It's language. It's wisdom. It's the spark of an idea that can reshape an entire civilization. I'm liking that we picked this to go last actually. Because it feels like a culmination, even though it it's not like I didn't do it that way. I just 'cause I picture the the air as like a bridge. So it's like all of the different elements because it can be in all of those places, right? True. It exists amongst all of us, whether it's seen or not. Yeah. So it's really cool. I think it's really cool. I also again sidebar, but I always love to imagine like how the signs interact with each other as their elements. So like if you like me and you, right? Like earth and wind together, it like creates like a sandstorm, right? Or like it would. Right? Yeah. And then like if you had air and fire together, like it makes the fire grow bigger bigger. Right. Like and that's how an air sign and a fire sign would have that dynamic. Like they would like the The air like feeds the fire essentially. Yeah. Or how water can douse the fire, you know, or make it smaller. So like that's how that they complementary like they can be compliment. How they exist. How they exist together, exactly. So it's just interesting. Like it is. Yeah. Like they would have to coexist side by side, not with each other. Does that make sense? Where like air and fire can work together. Truly. So it that they would be a better for construction. Yes, for destruction. Yeah. For the chaos. If we're going literal. For the chaos to be honest. That's a better way to say that. Yeah. But yeah, it's just a fun way to imagine it so at home you can kind of sit and think on that. How do you Well, and so I'm picturing, have you seen where teachers have grouped students at their tables based on their astrology side? Excellent way to do that. Because there are gonna be people who don't it doesn't work. Right. Yeah. Like typically I keep seeing where like at the first week she puts all the signs like together. yeah. And is like Okay, well earth signs are done with the task in you know, two minutes. Yeah. the the w the fire signs are, you know, playing. Yeah, not doing what they're supposed to be doing. And and the air signs are making friends. Yeah. And eventually she'll like mix the teacher will mix them up. Or like sort them by element instead. Or sort them by ruling planet. Or that's super cool. Like how the dynamics play out. It's like a science experiment for a teacher. So if I were a teacher would be doing doing that. Just for my own brain. Yeah. I feel like it would only help you. But it's like a fun way to organize people. It's again like personalities. I think people you know And how they mesh. Think like astrology is like, whatever. Like No, it's a it's it's a study on how people are and it is useful. I don't care what anybody says. Like it helps. And sometimes if you understand the the basis of why a person makes a decision and why a person does things a certain way. It helps you better relate to them or better be able to even just hold a conversation with them. Definitely. Yeah. So I see it as very useful. For sure. so the second grouping is called modality, which describes how each sign approaches life. So there are three different modalities. Cardinal signs initiate and begin things, fixed signs stabilize and maintain and mutable signs adapt and transform. Every element contains one of each. So for today's signs, Gemini is mutable air. It gathers information, asks questions, and adapts through learning. Libra is cardinal air. It initiates dialogue, creates harmony, and builds systems of justice. And Aquarius is fixed air, and it holds on to big ideas, challenges the status quo, and envisions a better future. You can almost think of them as like this life cycle like we've been. Talking about, right? Gemini discovers it, Libra shares and shapes it, and Aquarius turns it into a vision capable of changing the world. Gemini asks the questions, Libra weighs the answers, and Aquarius imagines what comes next. so again, it's like a progression, right? Like as you go through the zodiac, it builds on itself, right? But each of them have their role. Yeah. Like you can't have one It's the full cycle. Gotta have the full cycle. You'll hear us also mention ruling planets. So in astrology, each sign is connected to a celestial body that symbolizes certain themes. So for example, for this episode, Gemini, as I know we've shared before, is is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication, learning, travel, and curiosity. Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of relationships, beauty, harmony, and values. Makes sense. Yeah. Aquarius is traditionally ruled by Saturn, and modern astrology also associates it with Uranus. Together they represent structure, innovation, rebellion, and the drive to reshape society. Ooh. Yeah. It's good. If you know an Aquarius. You know. Yeah. Yeah. They're also one of the least common signs. So I think when you know an Aquarius, you're like, I get it. Yeah. Even these planetary rulers tell a story. Mercury says stay curious. Venus says seek balance. Saturn and Uranus say question the rules and build better ones. Together they create the mythology of air itself. Yeah. And so one important thing to remember is that astrology is one layer of this story, right? today's episode isn't really about whether Gemini talks too much. Sorry, guys. Libra can't make a decision, and Aquarius is The weird one. We're interested in something much older. before the signs became personality archetypes, they were constellations. And before they were constellations, they were myths. And before they were myths, they were humanity's attempt to explain some of our greatest strengths, our ability to communicate, seek justice, preserve knowledge, and imagine a future that doesn't yet exist. Ancient people understood something we still know today. Civilizations aren't changed only by the people who build them. They're changed by the people who change how everyone thinks. And maybe that's why these signs have endured for thousands of years. Because every generation needs people willing to ask difficult questions, challenge old ideas, and imagine new possibilities. And that's exactly where we're starting today. Yeah. Good stuff. Gemini. I'm finally here. I'm the first one. okay, so Gemini, the sign between worlds. Gemini season runs roughly from May twenty first, which is my birthday. So I am We're both cusps Yeah, it's interesting that we are. I didn't even think about that until just now. through June twentieth. And It's modality is mutable and its ruling planet is Mercury, which connects to the Greek god Hermes throughout this whole episode. Yeah. Gemini is also represented by the twins, so that's like the glyph that you get when you see Gemini. The duality. The duality too. We'll continue. and it's one of the most recognized of in the zodiac because of that nature. So the only other one that has two is Pisces. the major themes associated with Gemini are communication, curiosity, adaptability, storytelling, learning, and of course duality. Well, yeah, now you know why I have a podcast. All of those things. Yeah. and Gemini has probably suffered one of the worst Zodiac PR campaigns of all time because along the way duality became two-faced. Right. And as a Gemini, I have a way to back this up. Geminis became the sign that supposedly has two personalities, changes their mind every five minutes, talks too much, and gets bored too easily. and can never decide who they actually are. Again, a lot of thoughts going on in my head. That was funny. That was a really good timing for that. Help. but but astrologically, there's a reason that Gemini is associated with so much movement. It's mutable air. They're traditionally associated with transition, adaptation, and preparing for whatever comes next. And the air el air is the element of thought, communication, ideas, and social change. So Gemini being mutable, so easily formed, changed, shaped, shifts, you know, and then being air. That's a lot. It just keeps going. It's like a tornado. There's a lot going on in the rest of that joke. Which is good because Yes. yeah, so Gemini isn't designed to stay still. It collects information, stories, questions, experiences, different points of view. Gemini wants to know a little bit about everything and is the be because curiosity itself is part of the archetype. it's that we like to know all the things and that we can talk to anybody because we know a little bit. About all the things. It's really great. I love that. Which is actually ri it's really fun. I mean, I think it's something that, as of again, I I'm a Virgo, I'm also Mercury ruled. So that same like quest for knowledge and that same like desire to know all of the things. Yes. I'm like, yeah. Love it. And you're mutable also. So you like the free-flowing ideas like that. I'm like, keep it coming. We're learning here. I know it's great. and that also helps explain another of Gemini. Nice stereotypes talking. But communication isn't just talking, it's listening, reading, writing, teaching, storytelling, asking questions, and making connections that don't seem related to other things. Right. Hence rabbit holes. Yes. Which we're queens of. Yes, we are the queens of rabbit holes. Mutable air is just rabbit hole energy. That's what it is. It is, yeah. And in the best way though, because I think who else is gonna do it? Nobody. That's our job. That's our role. so like the way I try to explain it to people is like if I go to a party, I can talk to anybody because I know again, know a little bit about everything. So I don't feel like I I I think that's why people think two faced because maybe one person gets one version of you versus the other, right? But it's not because they're not the same person. They're just they like I feel like I could read you and know what you want to talk about and me and you are gonna have a different relationship than me and somebody else who maybe has different interest. Right. So that's okay. That's okay, but I think people who take it as two faced that's how they interpret that. Right. It's like, why are you different with them versus with this person? Because most people can't do that. That's not like in their repertoire. They don't know how to be more than more adaptable in that way. Like they don't know how they just like maybe their knowledge is more fixated on their particular hobbies or their particular interests. And so they if someone is outside of that realm they just have a harder time. Yeah. Yeah. you know, talking to everyone or having something to say to everyone. So I don't know. I mean I'm actually kind of the same way that you are, right? In the sense of like Like I just they're multi facets to our our knowledge there. We just we like that. We we like having a lot of different information and I think a lot of people, like you said, zero in on what they like and that's it. And so when they can't relate to somebody else because they don't share similar interests, yeah. They're like, What do I do? And that's when people are up. Ooh, cool. What can I learn about your interests like please tell me more? Yeah, exactly. So it's again the curiosity. Yeah. Gemini is associated with the movement of information from one person to another, which makes its connection to Hermes especially appropriate. Hermes is the messenger of the gods. He rules language, travelers, boundaries, merchants, and communication. He can move between Olympus, the mortal world, and the underworld, which very few other individuals can do. Yes. Cthonic. yeah, he's a Cthonic individual. so he moves through all these worlds carrying information across boundaries other figures can't easily cross. And there's another important piece of Gemini that gets lost in the stereotypes. Gemini is playful. Yes. They want to be in all the things and and like Yeah, like to me that's fun to be in all the things. I think other people are like, Whoa, that's a lot. Like Or like are exhausted by it. Yes. Whereas to a Gemini that's so fun. Mm-hmm. I like all the things, learning about all the things is an archetype associated with wit, cleverness, wordplay, humor, and intellectual mischief, which is such a funny way to say that. Yes. But it's again, it's just wanting to learn all of the different facets of improvement. it's it's you want to know the information for yourself. You don't necessarily I don't really care to share it. No I just I'm like, I know about this and no one else does. Right. Or like, ooh, I heard it. Yeah, exactly. It's the person who asked the question everyone else overlooked or makes the joke that completely changes the energy in the room. Sure. That curiosity can also make Gemini seem restless. Once something has been understood, there's always another question to ask, another person to meet, another story to hear, another perspective to consider. Hmm. So would you describe Gemini as like that kind of social butterfly person or I wouldn't even say social butterfly. Maybe more like that curiosity can keep you moving so much that sometimes people again will construe it as like, she doesn't like me anymore. It's like, no, I just like I'm moving on to like I I it's just this like constant striving for the next thing. Like but it doesn't mean that I let go of the old stuff either. So I don't know. I think but some people take it personal, like, why did like we were friends, what happened? Like why where'd you go? You know? But it's not usually not personal. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, no, 'cause to me this piece of Gemini s would be very draining for me. Yeah. Like I love all the information. It can be a lot. It can. but that at a party sounds very draining to me. I would need like a day of recharge. That's where my Capricorn moon mellows me out a little bit. Because I'm like, I it's ten o'clock. I have to go to bed now. I'm out. Yeah. Yeah, Like I I think people can be, but I would say a social butterfly is like a Libra. More like a Libra or like a Leo. Yeah or somebody somebody an Aries for that matter. Like someone who maybe has more Like they like the attention. I wouldn't say Geminis like the attention. And that's what yeah, and that's what I was wanting to clarify here is I feel like Geminis aren't doing they're d yes, they're doing all of this, but they're not in it for like Again, it's it's for myself. The spotlight. Not for to not in when I mean by my like for myself, I mean for making connection, but not necessarily to be the life of the party. Doesn't inter doesn't. I just think it's an important distinction to make. which brings us back to Gemini's most famous trait, duality. The but the mythology behind Gemini suggests something much more interesting than having two personalities. Gemini represents the ability to encounter different perspectives without immediately needing to collapse into them into one, right? I definitely Definitely live in a there is a gray everywhere. Like I don't believe in black and white. It doesn't exist to me. I'm with you on that one. I have a very hard time with people who think that or or or can only see it from one angle. One side. I don't I don't function that way. It's very difficult for me. especially now that we've talked about this, like I gather all the information so I can understand both sides whether I agree with the other or not is one thing. But I think I do a good job of being Objective. Yeah. Like I can look at something objectively and take my my own opinion out of it and it doesn't bother me. Like I think a lot of people And you're definitely better at that than I am. I think I I try really hard. Yeah, you are much like stronger in your than I am. But I like that. I don't know. Like But but sometimes I need that to kind of like pull me out of my like stubborn say. Gemini represents the ability to encounter different perspectives without immediately needing to collapse them into one. To learn something new and to change your mind. To recognize what the world rarely fits neatly into one category. And that's exactly what we find when we look up Gemini itself. Two figures standing side by side. Two brothers, one mortal, one divine, and a myth that ultimately connects heaven, earth, and the underworld. so to understand why the twins became the perfect symbol for Gemini, we're going to meet the brothers behind the constellation. Castor and Polydeuces. Yes, so the constellation that Gemini is famously associated with is Castor and Polydocis, which is better known as Pollux. Or as not better known, but by its Roman name. It's most commonly known with his Roman name, yeah. their story basically is the ultimate Gemini myth. They are brothers, but they definitely are not the same. Right. according to one of the best known versions of their story, their mother was Leda, queen of Sparta. But they had different fathers. Castor was the mortal son of Leda's husband, King Tyndarius. Pollux was the divine son of Zeus. So from the very beginning, the twins represented two completely different states of existence, one mortal and one immortal. despite the difference, the brothers were inseparable. Together they became known as the Dioscori, meaning the sons of Zeus. They were famous warriors and adventurers, joined Jason and the Argonauts on their quest for the Golden Fleece, so back to Aires, and became especially associated with protecting travelers and sailors. But eventually their adventures ended in tragedy during a conflict involving Involving another pair of brothers, Castor is killed. And Pollux is faced with something his immortality had never prepared him for. He had to live forever, but his brother wouldn't. Sad. So Polydeuces asked Zeus to let him give up part of his immortality rather than exist eternally without his brother Castor. And Zeus agreed. The brothers would share Polydeuces' immortality, spending part of their existence among the gods and part in the underworld. They would never entirely belong to either place, and eventually Zeus placed them among the stars in the constellation Gemini. Zeus allows Pollux to split his divine gift, meaning the brothers spent alternate days either on Mount Olympus or in the gloomy underworld of Hades. So they were still not together. They were they were alive but not together. Yes. Which didn't really solve their problem. Right. So Zeus was so moved by their brotherly love that he transformed them both and then placed them permanently together in the sky as the Gemini constellation. They were reunited. Where their brightest stars represent the twins side by side. Yeah. and that completely changes the way that we can think about Gemini's famous duality. they're two halves of an impossible whole, mortal and immortal, life and death, heaven and underworld. Yeah. So again, it's not two faced, it's just duality, opposites. Yeah. It's and it's two pieces that so want to just they want to work together. They're a team. Their mythology isn't really about contradiction for contradiction's sake. It's about the ability to exist between two realities. And maybe that's a better way to understand Gemini. Not as the sign that can't decide which version of itself it wants to be, but as the sign that can understand there's more than one thing that can be. True at the same time. And they want both their pieces to work together. Yes. Like we said, nothing is black and white. So that's how I live. Like I this is like a perfect way to explain it. Two things can be true at the same time and both people can be right. People don't like that, but it's true. I know you don't like it, but Uhhuh. And I know it's true though. It's not like everybody's version of the truth is a hundred percent accurate either. Like that's the other thing also. Like I think people need it to be concrete, but it's usually not. And for a Virgo mind who really enjoys concrete information or I've looked at all of the information. So of course my opinion is right. What do you mean? What are you talking about? What do mean? you can rein me in. Yeah. And that works. Yeah. If there is one Greek god who absolutely embodies this Gemini energy, it's Hermes. As we said before, Hermes is the messenger of the gods, but calling him a messenger seriously undersells his resume. he's the god of language, communication, travel, merchants, boundaries, diplomacy, thieves, cleverness, and cunning. Basically, if something evolves moving, whether that's a person, a message, an idea, or occasionally something that doesn't belong to you, Hermes probably has jurisdiction. And his Gemini energy starts almost immediately. According to the heroic hymn to Hermes, Hermes is born in a cave to Zeus And the nymph Maya. And on the first day of his life, baby Hermes gets bored. Sure. Sounds about right. New bored. Yeah. Which is already extremely on brand. He climbs out of his cradle, finds a tortoise, invents the lyre, and then decides to steal Apollo's cattle. He's literally a baby, but sure. But Hermes doesn't just steal them. He comes up with an elaborate plan to hide what he's done, including reversing reversing the cattle's tracks to confuse anyone trying to follow them. Apollo eventually figures out who is responsible and brings Hermes to Zeus. Instead of ending with some enormous divine punishment, Hermes eventually talks his way out of it. Sure. He charms everyone. He plays the lyre. Apollo loves the instrument so much that Hermes gives it to him and the two eventually reconcile. So one of Hermes' earliest myths is basically get curious, invent something, cause chaos, talk your way out of the consequences of said chaos, and somehow leave with a promotion. That isn't Gemini mythology. I don't know what is. Yeah, it's very fitting. I like the Hermes for you guys. Yes. Seems about right. It does. beneath the comedy, Hermes represents something incredibly important, movement. Hermes goes places that other gods don't. He can freely go between Olympus, the mortal world, and the underworld as a psychopump So as a psychopump, he guides the souls of the dead into the realm of Hades. He crosses the ultimate boundary between life and death, and he comes back. And that's where the connection to Castor and Pollux becomes extremely interesting. Their myth is also crossing between boundaries of mortal and immortal. Again in And again, Gemini mythology returns to the same idea. Boundaries aren't necessarily walls, they're doorways. Yeah. We're liminal Of course you're liminal. I love it. Hermes doesn't just cross physical boundaries either. He moves between the gods and the mortals, kings and thieves, travelers and merchants, the living and the dead. He's difficult to place neatly into one category, and that's because his entire purpose is connection. Yeah. So Bridge between all the worlds. Yeah. She's very Gemini. Yes, for sure. I think a lot of the times too, like Gemini gets put in this like trickster category. So like yeah. as we'll talk about when we get into like more pop culture stuff, you'll that's how we see them being portrayed because it's the easiest kind of the easiest way to present present Gemini. Yeah. and that's also why we get such a bad rap, I think. It's really underselling to be honest. and like it's because of this duality of like back and forth all over the place. energy. Like i it it's almost impossible not to and the mischievousness and the or like how it could be perceived as mischievous. Right. When you're not necessarily being mischievous. No, no, no. Just curious. Curious. Yes. Curious bird. Yeah, exactly. So, pop culture. man, our Gemini coded characters. Again, we're gonna see these Gemini characters presented in maybe their stereotypes. A flattened version. It's a flattened version of Gemini because it's easier to show. Yes. it's hard to show the full picture. Just like I felt like it's hard to show a full Virgo. I think it's hard to show a full Gemini too. Unless they're the main character. And even then, like it you know, it's it's very different. We need more time. Yes. True. these characters are gonna embody sort of Gemini's curiosity, adaptability, wit, communication skills, duality and ability to move between different worlds, different environments. So first one, the obvious and our also a canonically a Gemini. Our favorite Gemini vegetarian. Elle Elle Woods. she actually is a Gemini. She's her birthday's June eighteenth. of course she is. Yeah. So she's a June Gemini, so that's interesting. But sure. I don't know. My son is a June Gemini, so yeah. Right. she's curious, social, adaptable, persuasive, consistently underestimated because people just assume that she only likes fashion or beauty or that she can only be good at that, right? That's because she looks a certain way. Which she clearly, you know, got into Harvard Law. So like how hard could it be? No, so like she's multifaceted, she has interests in More than one place. She's perfect Gemini in that way. She shows it really well. I mean and it's in such a fun way for And she like you it through the movie, you see she is quick on her feet. She figures out how to talk to people that she normally would be like out of place with, right? Yeah. But and people are looking at her like, okay, who is this person in all pink at law school? Yeah. Like what do you mean? a Gemini great lawyer. Not gonna lie. Yeah, It makes sense. So Loki. Of course. Our trickster. Yes. Again back to tricksters. But but he's very clever. Clever, yes. For sure. Causing mischief. He knows all the things. He can hide easily. So he gets the gossip. He gets the good tea. That's for sure. Definitely. Yeah, and he's never like fully the villain. He's never fully an ally. Like can't really place him. So again, kind of maybe more the not negative connotation, but like harder to Well, I mean no one can say Loki isn't smart. So I don't like whether that's for good or for evil, like I was to say. Yes. But Loki is a morally grey character in this. Yeah, that's fine for me. Doctor Who, he's always traveling somewhere. Very curious. Never in the same spot. Yeah, never in the same spot for a very long time. Yeah, solving problems. actively seeks knowledge and solutions. Yeah, I just Yeah, makes sense. Captain Jack Sparrow. of course. Quick thinking, chaotic, adaptable, and usually survives because he can talk his way out of almost anything. Yeah. Yeah, he's a very good Gemini. Yes. Yes. and same actress but different movies. yeah, Pride and Prejudice. Yeah, very witty, observant. capable of changing her perspective when presented with new information. Yeah. Barbie. What is Barbie not? Barbie is everything. Yeah. That's Gemini energy, if anything. Yeah. Barbie is multifaceted from her birth. It's literally her entire existence has existence has been jumping from career to career. What can she do? Yeah, she can do it all. Fred and George Weasley from Harry Potter. Our twins. They're twins, and if they are not Geminis, I don't know what they're they're constantly playing mischievous, clever, entrepreneurial. They're they're very they're cunning. They're perfect. I I love I love Fred and George. Yep, exactly. Tyrion and Lannister go from Game of Thrones. He can read a room. He's surviving by his intelligence. He is already at a disadvantage in his life. Right. so I think he had no choice but to become this adapted situation. But he like you said, he can read a room, he can figure out how to very good at reading room. Make make it happen. Yeah. so some other like quick off the cuff, but like Tony Stark. Chandler Bing Chandler, yeah. Chandler, yeah. Flynn Ryder. And Draco Malfoy. I yeah. It's a Gemini. Well, I think that he I know you and I have talked about this specifically with him, but he has sort of this internal fighting his external. And for me that's Gemini. That's like balancing the And like seeing how both make sense but also don't make sense like and then what he presents is one thing, but what's internal is another and a lot of conflict. It's a lot of struggle for him. Yeah. Yeah, because I think he sees like Harry and Ron and all of them and says like I kinda wanna That for myself and but then his family's telling him, No, they're bad. Like, you know, so he's like, I don't know what to think. Well, and I also I feel like in any other world, he and Harry have a lot in common. Yeah, they would be fine. I think that they would have ended up as friends had they been allowed, like had Malfoy been not been like so influenced in negative people in his life. Yeah, true. so beyond individual characters, Gemini energy represents anywhere pop culture celebrates reinvention, communications, curiosity, cleverness, or multiplicity. So think like Puzzles or trivia, right? Like multiverse stories or alternate versions of characters, shapeshifters, tricksters, you know, all these things, alter egos or like a stage persona of a celebrity versus like their real identity, right? Hannah Montana. Yes, yes, exactly. yes, so true. Yeah, like a story when the hero wins through something like information rather than like a physical strength. So like using their wits to to win, not necessarily because they're the strongest. Yeah, which we love. Yes. Yes, we do. We grow that. Yeah. Gemini is the energy behind the character who asks the questions everyone else overlooks, discovers the missing piece of information, and then tells everyone else about it. And maybe that's why Gemini energy works so well in storytelling. Gemini keeps the plot moving. Always seeking the next thing, like seeking the more more knowledge, more information. Yeah, for sure. so famous Geminis. Whether or not you believe astrology influences personality, it Gemini. Which it does. Yeah. Gemini has produced a pretty impressive number of people known for communication, reinvention, storytelling, quick wit, and refusing to fit neatly into one single category. I don't know how you look at these people and Not so Here we go. our president, Donald J. Trump, is a Gemini. Absolutely, he is. Yes. I don't I mean, think about just his career alone. He's been all over, like he's a businessman, but he's like an entrepreneur, so that's not really like a businessman and like a traditional. Just for fun. Like I don't know. It's all of it is very Gemini to me. For sure. Queen Victoria, which she's definitely like a multifaceted. Monarch. Yeah. She broke broke the mold and had a decent amount of hobbies that weren't necessarily deemed queenly. Yeah. So sure. Sally Ride, so the famous astronaut. JFK. George III of England. So again, we're we're all over the board here, but still Anne Frank. Sure. Marco Rubio. All right, so actress actors and actresses, Marilyn Monroe is probably the prime Gemini example. Most people would know that she's a Gemini. which I think reflects really well in her like personal versus public person. Like the persona she put out for the world to see. Yeah. Angelina Jolie, another one. Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, Helen Banon Carter. Mary Kate and Ashley. Twins. Yes. Chris Evans, Tom Holland, Anderson Cooper. So a lot of these people are like they're known for being smart. Like I I I've I feel like compared to maybe some some other actors. Like not that that they're d the other ones are dumb, but just like they have like they're quick witted. They're they're good interviewers, like they're interesting to listen to, you know. Right. Or like have made a career out of it. Yes. I mean Anderson Cooper. Yeah. It's a perfect one. Sir Ian McKellen, he's like w nope he's an actor, but he's like an actor. You know, like he's like a s like a studied actor, you know? So like a different level, right? Morgan Freeman, Morgan Freeman. It's all like very of course they're a Gemini, you know? Yeah. And of course God is a Gemini. Impartial. Uh-huh. no, and Joan Rivers, she's a very good. Geminis make I think pretty good comedians. So Yeah, I believe that. I mean it's that quick wit. Yeah. Just like on your feet and just also like breaking the mold too a little bit. Not not normal for her generation to be a c a female comedian by any means. Yeah. Also make great rappers. Kanye West, Notorious B.I. G, Tupac, and Ice Cube are all Geminis. Yeah, I mean again, if you think rap and like free forming things, that's Gemini. Free flowing words. If that's not Gemini, I don't know what is. Very Gemini. Yeah. Prince Stevie Nicks. We love Stevie Nicks is my son and moon twin, so she is a Gemini son, Capricorn Moon. That's very fun. I love Stevie Nicks Love her. Yeah, she's energy is impeccable. Paul McCartney. Another like really good like storyteller, songwriter. Like Bob Dylan. Very strong in their own field. It's really cool. Mm-hmm. and a couple different athletes. So Venus Williams, Abby Wombach, Raphael Nadal, yeah, Novek Djokovic, and Phil Mickelson. Gemini often gets criticized for changing, changing opinions, changing interests, changing direction, changing who they want to be. And we tend to treat consistency like proof of authenticity. Pick a side, choose a path, decide who you are, and then stay that person forever. But Gemini asks a slightly uncomfortable question, why? If you learn something new, shouldn't your perspective evolve with that new knowledge? Right? Yes. I mean, perspectives change. If you discover something you love, shouldn't you be allowed to pursue it? If the person you were ten years ago believed exactly the same things you believe today, did you actually learn anything? That's the difference between inconsistency and adaptability. Yeah. I think that's the biggest You're mutable. You're well also like life is mutable. Your life doesn't ch like stop changing. If anything, it continues to change. So if you can be in acceptance of it, not that you have to like it. Or like fight against it. Right. Well, it's just how do you how hard do you want to make it, right? Like you know things are gonna change over time. Your opinion might change over time, because of what you experience. Yeah, Gemini is mutable air. It's supposed to move. Hermes crosses between boundaries because information needs to travel. Castor and Pollux exist between mortal and immortal because their story refuses to have a simple ending of like either or. I they do eventually, but that's not the point of it. The point is that they they have to figure out how to be together. And that's kind of Gemini also of like I have two pieces of information, how do I make it so that it works together maybe Gemini's duality was never telling us that humans were two faced, it was reminding us that humans contain contradictions. We can be confident and uncertain, practical and imaginative, serious and ridiculous. the person you used to be and the person you're becoming. Those things don't necessarily cancel each other out. maybe changing your mind when the evidence changes isn't weakness. It admitting that you were wrong isn't embarrassing. outgrowing the version of your old self isn't being fake. Maybe that growth is what it's supposed to look like. Right. Gemini reminds us that curiosity requires leaving room for the possibility that we don't already know everything. And sometimes the bravest thing you can say isn't this is who I am. It's I changed my my mind. And that's goddess behavior, if I do say so myself. Obviously. I think that's like the biggest thing with Gemini is that you you can be whoever you wanna be and it's okay. Yeah. You don't have to be stagnant or not change or stagnant is boring. Yes. For me. Yeah. Life would would be boring if it was just I'm an earth sign saying that. Yeah. I mean I just I think that again, life is meant to be multifaceted. I don't think anyone wants to live the same day over and over. Never Never changing, never adapting, that's so boring. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Have a Gemini friend. Never be bored. No, you will not. All right. Libra. man. Here we go. My entire family. We got a lot of Libras in my family too. Yeah, lots of Libra friends. Libra season runs from roughly September twenty third through October twenty second. Its modality is cardinal and it's ruled by Venus, the planet associated again with beauty, relationships, pleasure, harmony, and values. Its major themes are balance, justice, harmony, diplomacy, relationships, and beauty. Yeah, so we've talked about Taurus in the last episode, also ruled by Venus. So just to match up. So like Gemini and Virgo, like we've talked about a lot because match with that. a Taurus and a Libra would match with with Venus. Yeah. And Libra has a reputation. Indecisive, people pleasing, conflict avoidant. The person who takes forty five minutes to decide where everyone should go for dinner because they want everyone to be happy. And okay. There may be a little Libra energy in that. Yeah. There is Libra in the There a hundred percent is, yeah. 'cause don't worry everybody in my house. I'll make the decision. Yeah. Truly. but underneath that stereotype is something much more interesting because Libra isn't obsessed with everyone getting along just for the sake of keeping everything nice and pleasant. Which is definitely what I think people think. Right. So Libra is interested in how people coexist, And that distinction matters. yeah, I think that's also why you see a lot of Libras that like astrology. Seriously. Like not to not to make it that simple, cut and dry, but they they like how like we were talking about at the beginning, why we like the astrology of it all, because it shows you how people behave and how they interact and and if that's what Libra's things like and they want people to coexist together, that they would enjoy that. So makes sense. Yeah. The personality quizzes, the Yeah, you know that all of that. They're they're into usually. That's very true. Definitely. Libra is cardinal air. Cardinal signs initiate. They start things, create movement, and push energy in a different direction. Air rules ideas, communication, relationships between people, and the exchange of perspectives. So put those together and Libra becomes a sign that looks like Nope. That looks at two people or two ideas or two arguments or two sides of a conflict and asks, how do we make this work? It's diplomacy, it's negotiation, and eventually it becomes law. Yeah, so once humans started living together in larger communities, we have to answer some incredibly complicated questions. What happens when two people want the same thing? Or who decides what's fair? Or what does one person owe the other one? What happens when someone breaks a rule? Or what happens when the balance of individual freedoms goes against the community, the needs of the community? Yeah. those aren't questions about physical strength, they're questions about ideas. So again, that's kind of the overarching theme with air signs, this ideas idea, right? Yeah. so again that brings us back to air. Gemini gathers and exchanges information and Libra takes that information and weighs it. What's true, what's fair, what do each side deserve, and what happens when there isn't a perfect answer? Because unfortunately that has that does happen. That's the reality. Yeah. sorry. I can do it if you want to. It's fine. Yeah. That last question is especially important because Libra's symbol is the scales. and Libra is unusual within the zodiac because its symbol isn't a person or an animal. It's an object. It's the only one. And it's interesting that it would represent like justice too, of all things. Yeah, the scale. Mm-hmm. An instrument designed to compare two things and determine their relationship to one another. Put something on one side, put something on the other side, and see where the balance falls. Which makes the stereotype about Libra being indecisive a little more interesting. Maybe Libra isn't hesitating because it can't make a decision. Maybe it's hesitating because it can see both sides. That's like what you were saying with Gemini. Yeah, similar. And once you understand both sides, decisions sometimes become harder. Yes. Yeah, I think so. You know? just like I think it's that time that they take to deliberate that decision where people are getting patient. Yeah, ex it's exactly what it is. Like, okay, get it together, make a choice. But they're doing it's it's hard. It's not black and white. Yeah. Exactly. But Libra isn't just a about justice. It's also ruled by Venus. And at first, justice and Venus don't really seem to go together at all. Yeah, really not. it's interesting. Like what does beauty have to do with fairness? Well, quite a lot, actually. Venus represents attraction, relationships, values, pleasure, aesthetics, and harmony. And harmony doesn't mean that everything is identical. Think about music. Harmony happens when different notes exist together in a way that creates something larger than any one note could create alone. Whoa. Okay. That's a very Libra idea. Yeah. The goal isn't necessarily sameness, the it's balance between differences. It can appear in relationships, in art, in architecture, in politics, in communities, even in the way in a way that you arrange a room. There's a reason symmetry, proportion, and balance has been associated with beauty across many artistic traditions. Something feels right when it's placed like i in the way that it works with the rest of the room. Like my mom probably can attribute to this. She's an Aquarius, but she's like, no, it just goes there. And she's not wrong. Like there just something like there's clearly more science to it than that. But like some people have like an innate way of being like, this is how this would balance. Like she always like it's always like the rule of threes with like decorative things. Or like but there's a reason because it look that's what looks the best. Yeah. It's it's symmetry. It's right. It's the balance of things. So Aesthetics is not always simple. Again, like there's, you know, a a balance that was required. But that search to find the right pieces that all fit together also creates Libra's shadow side. Yeah. Because when you can see everyone's perspective, it becomes very easy to avoid having to even choose one. Yeah. diplomacy can become people pleasing. Compromise can become self-sacrifice. The desire for peace can become avoidance of necessary conflict. And sometimes maintaining harmony actually protects the person causing the harm. Because peace and justice are not always the same thing. True. Like sometimes peace has to come at a price, right? I mean, and and that can be hard for a Libra who doesn't want to upset anybody. Right. Really. Right, because like we're saying, justice is not always black and white. So everybody might not leave completely happy. Right. Like it's just not. Reality, right? But Libra is going to struggle with that. Right. Like I mean, just as a more like contemporary example, but like if you are having if you're getting divorced, not everybody's gonna be happy, no matter what. Like even if it's amicable. Like there's always gonna be somebody who's like not a hundred percent happy with the situation because it's not a fun situation. And that's it. There's yeah, you can't really make that better. No, exactly. It's just a reality. Yeah. It's a it's a like a bad situation to begin with, so there's no way to But there's oftentimes where Libra would avoid that all together just to like keep a piece. Yeah. Yeah, true. Which is why the image attached to Libra for thousands of years isn't a heart. It isn't a flower. It isn't even Venus. It's a pair of scales. An eternal question hanging in the sky. What is fair? Mm-hmm. and humanity has been trying to answer it ever since. Yes, so Let's look at the constellation itself. Libra is unusual because it's the only one represented by this inanimate object. yeah, Ares has the ram, Taurus has the bull, Gemini has the twins, Cancer with the crab, Leo the lion, Virgo the maiden, Scorpio the scorpion, Sagittarius has the archer, Capricorn has sea goat, and Aquarius has the water bearer, Pisces has the fish, and then Libra's given a pair of scales. No hero, no monster, no animal, just an ancient symbol for asking humanity an enormous question of what is fair. But the story yeah, but the story of how the scales ended up in the zodiac is actually more complicated because Libra wasn't always Libra. yeah. In ancient Mesopotamia these stars were associated with the scales. but in Greek astronomical tradition, they were also connected to the constellation beside them, Scorpio. Wrong side, but fine. Yes. the stars we now recognize as Libra were sometimes understood as the claws of the scorpion. And we can still see the traces of that history in the stars' names today. Libra's two brightest stars are Names derived from Arabic expressions, referring to the Scorpion's southern and northern claws. So even the night sky remembers that Libra once belonged to something else. Eventually though the scales became their own constellation and the image became connected to what we know it as today. Poor Libra. They're never their own thing. Whether they're with Astraea or with these the Mesopotamian with the Scorp put with Scorpio. They're they don't exist on their own. They don't. Well, they're an object, so that's kind of the They're at the mercy of like the wielder per se. Correct. Like a sword or it's like the same. Which it it is if you think about the way Libras think, they are at mercy to all of those things. Which is hard. It's a lot. New lease on Libras. And this is where Astraea enters the story. Which if you remember from our Earth signs, Astraea is our Virgo story. So Astraea is the goddess who got tired of the chaos of Earth and things became too volatile. Yep. Stayed waited it out as long as she possibly could, yeah. And then flew herself up to the sky. Carrying the scales. Right. So carrying Libra. so Astraea was the bearer of the of the scale. So of this sense of justice. And she waited as long as she could. But like literally I she was the last to leave. Astraea may represent Virgo, but I think she may be a Libra. I think she feels that responsibility. Responsibility. Yeah. To to make the judgment pro properly. Fairly as much as she wants to it's like wielding the scales. Right. Like sure, let me make the decision. I'll do it. Yeah. Yeah. See? It all makes sense. I mean, it's basically like the scales of justice wielded by Astraea And they're just sort of watching everyone leave and thinking, Okay, maybe we can still figure this out. Let's still try to try to figure this out. But eventually even Astraea was like No, I think we're done here. Yeah. We're out. Yeah. and as humanity descended further into violence and corruption, she did. She abandoned Earth and ascended into the heavens, which again, I personally I love that Zeus didn't place us in that. You guys are too much and make bad choices. So I'm out. there She becomes the constellation Virgo, and directly beside Virgo, so again, Virgo, then the sign following us is Libra. So then beside me sits my neighbor Libra with those scales of justice. which means the celestial image becomes incredibly powerful. Astraea stands among the stars with the scales beside her, the goddess of justice and the instrument she uses to measure it. so I I in particular love this story about Astraea bringing the scales to the sky because for me it's big sister energy. My little sister is a Libra Yes. Perfect. I just brought her with me. I needed her with It's a team. Yes. There you go. See? There you go. So remember Libra is cardinal air. Air gives us ideas, communication, debate, and perspective. cardinal energy asks us to do something with them. And what is a legal system if not an idea Well it's something that is gonna actively change and evolve and like about our literal system. Literally gonna go back and forth. Right? Our court systems and judges might be really bogged down with all of this, but the truth is is that's how it happens. We can't say stagnant. It's well and you have to take these abstract scenarios or situations, yeah, and and try to build a society with them. That's not an easy task, but it's hard, yeah. Yeah. and I I think we can look back at history and see that we haven't succeeded at that any plenty of times. Yeah, many times over. So this idea of justice still rings true now. You know, it c it can it it doesn't ever really go away. Right. Yeah, we're still using the an ancient visual language to communicate the same idea that people saw written in the night sky. Two sides, one balance, and the hope that somehow somewhere between them we can figure out a way that's fair. Yeah, and that's a big job. It's a I mean not easy. Yeah, the indecisiveness feels less l a little more warranted now, doesn't it? Yeah. Like if I had all that weight on my shoulders, I feel like it would be hard to make a choice. Yeah. Especially one that i if you're not wanting to up like the peace part part of it, you're not wanting to upset people, it makes it even harder. Right. And that like especially like as a as a child, it's like we just want to make everybody happy exactly. Alright, so Libra coded characters. again, these are not necessarily actual Libras by birthday, but they represent give yes Libra. they embody Libra's diplomacy, charm, sense of justice, appreciation for beauty, and constant attempt to find balance between competing sides. Yeah. So Daphne Bridgerton Sure. She's the oldest daughter. Not the eldest of the siblings, but she's the she kind of gives that like eldest daughter mother like figure to the younger siblings. Princess Leia. Yeah. Yeah. she's a really good diplomat and and is able to sort of skillfully speak with a lot of different peoples and creatures and negotiate things and yeah, for sure. and she has like this weight of the responsibility that's bigger than her, not just it's not about her. Right. Wonder Woman. Similar kind of idea. Yeah, I mean she just has a really deep desire for justice. Love her. you're gonna have to help me here. Pad May. Yes. I love Pad May. That is Luke and Leia's mom. Right. Yeah, she's a diplomat, seen as more like a an ambassador. Yeah, yeah. Cher from Clueless. Cher Horowitz. yeah. I mean she even like pretends to be a lawyer and like the way she negotiates her grades. Matchmaking and yeah. She's also her closet system, somebody made that so cool. Like you can actually there's software for that now. And was like, That's really good. I need that. Someone's living the dream. Yeah. Someone knows what they're doing. I need that. Using their brains for good good work. Marjorie Tyrell from Game of Thrones. I love her. She's actually definitely very Libra to me. Yeah. She's the best Tyrell. Charming, socially like intelligent. yeah. Definitely knows how to work a room. But it's still she's still pretty calculated. Like she's really thinking about the things that you're doing and saying. Yeah. Yep. Amy March from Little Women. yeah. Just like the way she navigates through society, I think is the best way to She really gives her artisticness and her just how she even goes about her day to day life gives Libra too. Yeah, definitely. and Peta Peta Millark from Hunger Games. Yeah again, like he's working like in this bigger system and trying to make it fair and it's really hard 'cause it does. So it's it's a hard job. Yeah, it's really not great. Yeah. And Eleanor Dashwood from Sense and Sensibility. Again, a a diplomatic vibe. Yeah. Steve Rogers, Atticus Finch. Hmm. I know. And Westley from The Princess Bride. okay. Yeah. Atticus Finch, of course, is the scales. Yeah. Makes sense. Yeah, so they're often placed on like both you know, opposing sides of like war, peace, duty and love. You know, it it they're they're always put in the middle of something basically. Of like having to determine the cost between the two and it's Yeah, that's a lot. No wonder why they're all over the place. I think it's like it's why I can kind of be like, Nope, just pick one. Yeah. Move forward. Yeah. Where they don't have it's harder for them. Yeah. Yeah, my son's a labor moon. I kind of get him a little bit more now. It's about me. They're so special. They are. all right, Yeah, so Libra energy kind of appears a lot in pop culture. It legal drama is the first thing that comes to mind for me. Like suits, you know. Like these a characters who are typically like ambassadors or like any kind of go between the diplomat. That's a great show. Yeah. or like a enemies to lover story. kind of like this morally gray people like trying to figure them out, right? Yeah. or just like match. matchmaking or society drama like interactions what's the other one? PR people. Yeah, I mean just for sure. Reality shows, date dating shows. It's a it's a Libra Chaos Laboratory. my gosh. It's so true. Yeah, pretty much. Love is blind. Yeah. I and I can't with those shows. No, I'm like you guys are all over the place. I hate those. Like the chaos, like the Gemini in me likes it, but then I get bored of it. Like it gets boring 'cause I'm like it's just the same stuff over and over. Or why are we doing that? I can't get over the stupidity of it. Like, yeah, that's what I mean. Whereas my husband, the Libra, loves it. Loves it. And I'm like Why? No, this is horrible. Yeah. Sure. I mean again, two things can be true. Yeah. Libra doesn't necessarily want to eliminate opposition. It wants to figure out how they're Yeah, so anything that kind of represents that would fit in this category. Yeah. so famous Libras. Libra has produced a fascinating number of people who known for their art artistry, beauty, diplomacy, public charm, advocacy, and the ability to shape culture through relationships and ideas. So Gandhi is one of is one of them. he's obviously like a famous advocate, political advocate. Peaceful resistance. Yes. Eleanor Roosevelt. Sure. She's a great one. Yep. Jimmy Carter. Mm-hmm. It's an interesting one. Sure. Margaret Thatcher. Margaret Thatcher. Yeah. Love her. I think I didn't realize she was a Libra. I either. I don't know why I guess I would have put her as a taurus So I'm not too far. Decisive. Yes. To me. But she also did like I'm just thinking of like the crown. She has to have Taurus placements. Probably. Something's like more. Yeah, she's got something else helping her out there. Yeah, because she's good. Yeah, she is. Vladimir Putin. Whoops. Dwight D. Eisenhower. So again like P People who like are are known for war like war related, like deciding what makes sense to you know, with a lot of different pieces weighing in the balance. Yep. there you go. so celebrity Libra's Julie Andrews. The best. She's the best. I'll live the Queen. Yes. Queen of Genovia. Yes. Hilary Duff. Perfect. Kim Kardashian is probably the most like well known that she's a Libra. She talks about being a Libra, so it's She is a Libra. She's very great. Yeah. she literally has a whole life built around aesthetics and beauty and fashion and and but she's smart. Like clearly. Yeah, like how all of it is perceived. For sure. That's a lot. Yeah. Gwyneth Paltrow, also the the same kind of energy. Kate Winslet, Katherine Zeta Jones, Dakota Johnson, and Will Smith. yeah. I think he is actually very aware that he's a Libra too. I'm sure I believe that. Yeah, he seems like he would be. Snoop Dogg. Which I kinda love that for him actually. Yeah. Usher. yeah, he's a Libra man for sure. Gwen Stefani. That's an interesting one. I would not have pegged her as a Libra. But that also kinda makes sense. Actually might have gone Aquarius for her. So I don't know, maybe she's close. Yeah, true. I don't know. Doja Cat. Cardi B John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Sting. So all these people are very like known for what they're known for. Does that make sense? Like I I just feel like they are recognizable voices. Yes. Yeah. and Oscar Wilde. Right. Again. Very recognizable. Yeah. Serena Williams. and Naomi Osaka, so both tennis players. Yeah, so Libra asks how do separate things exist together without one completely overpowering the other? Yeah, I mean I think it'd be hard to be ruled by Venus but want balance and continuity. Yeah. It's it's interesting. Yeah, so like if you think about Gemini's gathering all the information, Libra's putting them on the scales and then deciding how balance actually looks. So while they're doing the same thing they're not. Does so again the I they they're getting the ideas but they're doing different things with them. Yeah. Like Gemini's like hoarding all the information and then they give it to to Libra to decide what to do with it. So then we have Aquarius. Yes and then we have the fixed air. Libra gets called the peacemaker of the zodiac, the diplomat, the mediator, the person standing between two people saying, Okay, I can see both sides. And that's a gift. Being able to understand another person's perspective allows us to compromise, negotiate, forgive, and live alongside people who don't think exactly like we do. But Libra's mythology reminds us that peace and justice aren't always the same thing. Sometimes keeping the peace simply means keeping everything exactly. as it is, avoiding the difficult conversation, staying agreeable, and keeping the scales looking balanced even when they aren't. Because scales aren't supposed to look balanced. they're supposed to measure what actually is. And sometimes when you finally put everything on them, you discover that one side has been carrying far more weight than the other. Right. And that's where the Libra's where Libra's real lesson begins. Fairness doesn't always mean giving everyone the same thing. Understanding everyone's perspective doesn't automatically make their behavior acceptable. and compromise isn't always the right answer. This may be Libra's greatest shadow. when you're good at smoothing things over, people start expecting you to, you become the mediator, the reasonable one, the person who doesn't cause problems. until eventually you realize you've been maintaining everyone else's harmony at the expense of your own. Yeah. I that's where Libra's cardinal energy matters. Libra Libra isn't supposed to sit forever between the two sides, weighing them. Cardinal signs act. Eventually the scales have to settle. Astraea's story reminds us that justice requires recognizing that something has become unbalanced and deciding that it matters enough to do something about it. Sometimes that is a difficult conversation. Sometimes it that's a boundary. Sometimes it's a consequence. And sometimes it's simply saying, I understand your side, I just don't agree with it. Fair. maybe that's Libra's deeper lesson. You can be compassionate without being without abandoning your own judgment. You can understand both sides without making yourself responsible for keeping both sides happy. Because the goal was never to keep the scales perfectly still, the goal was to make Make them fair and knowing when it's time to tip the scales, that's goddess behavior. Yeah. Tip and start again, that's okay. Yeah. Yeah, take it all off and put it back on again. Reevaluate it. Okay. Yeah. And finally we have Aquarius. One of my favorites. Aquarius season runs roughly through January twentieth through February eighteenth. it's a fixed sign. So again, fixed air. We'll get to it, but it's a interesting one. it has two planetary rulers depending on which tradition you're following. So traditional astrology, so older astrology Aquarius's rule by Saturn, associated with structure, boundaries, responsibility, time, and systems. In modern astrology, a s Aquarius is ru also ruled by Uranus, the planet associated with disruption, innovation, rebellion, sudden change and breakthroughs. And honestly having both makes Aquarius make a lot more sense because you can't really have it be just one of those things. 'Cause Aquarius encompasses both. Like But how do they get more than one planet? So when everybody else gets one. As as time went on, they added more planets. Right, and the planets represented different things. Yeah. It's it's just it's it's about timeline, to be honest. Like early traditions of astrology when they only knew so many planets out, that's what they were given. Does that make sense? Like the outer planets didn't come till so much later. Yeah, I mean that's true. It's really that simple. So Aquarius is full of contradictions. It's the rebel of the zodiac, but it is a fixed sign. It's associated with independence, but also community. It wants to break the rules, but it's fascinated by the systems that create those rules. Its major themes in are innovation, rebellion, vision, independence, originality, and collective pro progress. So in order to break the rules you have to understand them. Yeah. So I think that's where like the Saturn part is the understanding of the rules and the Uranus part is the yeah, but they could be better. Let's break them and change them. Innovation. Sure. So that's why I think it works with Aquarius in particular. Yeah, well that's Aquarius for you. You're not gonna like them very much if that's what the case is. They just are. They're very they have their own minds. That's why they're fixed, like in my mind. That's where the fix energy comes from. yeah, for sure. They They know what they think. They're a little harder to sway than Libra and Gemini. A hundred percent. Yeah. Yeah. So first we have to clear up probably the most confusing thing about Aquarius is that it's not a water sign, even though it it it looks it sounds it sounds like it would be. It's the water bearer. So it's the person holding the water and pouring it, right? Yeah. That's who we're talking about, not the water itself, right? Right. Like I am not the scales of justice, but I wield them. I exactly. Yeah. So like the glyph Of Aquarius is like the waves, right? So that's why everybody thinks it's water. but it also could be air if we think about it. Yeah. Right? putting motion to air. Right. astrologically what Aquarius pours isn't interpreted as emotion. It's in it's often understood as knowledge or ideas, like your pouring of ideas to give to humanity. Yeah. and that distinction becomes important when we get to the mythology. but again, we have to talk about fixed earth or fixed earth. Fixed air. Fixed earth. How do you fix air stuff? How? so it's it sounds impossible. It does Doesn't make any sense, does it? Gemini's mutable air, it collects the information and it moves between perspectives and changes when a new idea comes along. Libra is cardinal air, takes those competing ideas and tries to make sense of them, right? Aquarius being fixed air, it takes an idea and it holds on to it. sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. So they're like latching on to the Idea. That's what makes them fixed. Again, they're harder to sway in their opinion of things. So once they've said this idea is the one that makes sense, this one is mine. That's fit for them. Correct. Totally. They're very set in their mind, in their own mind. So that's the fixed energy. So they're an air sign because they can be adaptable with their ideas, but once they've decided, it's finished. It just is. I'm laughing because my dad is an Aquarius. Correct, and my mom is too. So I get it. I'm like, uh-huh. and this is where Aquarius gets its reputation for being stubborn. Aquarius may be unconventional, but that means that it's also not like it's not easily influenced, right? Yeah. Yeah, once Aquarius believes in believes in something, good luck trying to move them. Truly. I mean I think if they in their own mind have come to a decision, that's it. It really even like with my dad, there's no you really can't change his mind. It's really really difficult to do that. Yeah. And what makes its connection to revolution so interesting, like this like st steadfastness, right? Revolutions don't only require someone who is willing to imagine something different. They have to be like full in on it. Like full send. So if they don't and and it makes sense. Like they're taking that idea again like the rules and they have to in order to break them you have to know them. So you have to have be like very strong and steadfast in your thought that this is the right thing to be doing, right? I always like make the comparison of like Leo is the pop star and Aquarius is like the rock star, like the alternative, like Grungy. Like ult, right. So like they they they are like Green Day. Like that's what I think. Like seriously though. And I actually actually I think he is an Aquarius. I think we'll get there. But it's the alternative, I wanna, you know, stick it to the man kind of vibes, right? Like they they wanna do it their way. They don't wanna have to follow, you know, the status quo just because it's the status. Yeah. In fact they'll they'll challenge that. Yeah, my my mom tells me all the time, don't tell me what to do. Yeah. My dad doesn't even say it. We're all just like, all right. Well we know that's not worth our time. Exactly, exactly. Moving on. You do that. Good luck. Aquarius is the person who looks at the system, everyone else has just accepted and said, But why are we doing it like this? and when the answer is because that's the way it's always been done. Aquarius is probably going to n you know, not gonna do it just for that yeah reason. Just because you told them they can't. Yeah. Or they shouldn't. They're gonna try to find a better different way. Exactly. Yeah, so that's where this modern ruler of Uranus fits perfectly. They're they're about this like disruption and breakthrough and intervention, rebellion. Right. and sudden change in perspective. So like they they can say like, okay, this is how this is working. lightning bolt moment. This is this is what we need to do to fix it, and it will be so much better if we do it that way. And now I'm full send on this idea and we're making it happen. Yeah. That's like something I admire about them. They're just very like, we found the we found the solution, moving on. Like and then that's it. Yeah. And sometimes it's not great. Yeah. Sometimes it's hard. Yeah. It's hard to be a close person in their circle for that particular reason. So despite Aquarius's reputation as a fierce independent outsider, they're also like have a deep collective side, right? They're associated with groups, networks, communities, social movements, and humanity as a whole. And that's again another classic Aquarius contradiction, right? it sometimes is deemed as detached from individual emotions while caring immensely for like a bigger group, right? one person's drama, Aquarius might need a minute, but the future of humanity, okay, now we're now we're getting somewhere. What are we doing? Yes. and sorry. yeah, they they tend to zoom out, if you will, right? They're not thinking about the nitty gritty details of of what somebody is ups one person is upset about. They're like, we have bigger problems to deal with like yeah, instead of how is it affecting me, it's what what happens if everyone lived this way, right? Like how do we make this better for for the collective group? Fair. Yep. I mean looking looking beyond yourself is hard. So the fact that Aquarius Non not selfish people at all. Right. So that is that is a a there's that a positive thing, right? Yeah, they're really in it for the greater good. Truly. Well like like at their core. Yeah, while it can seem like it's very ego driven, it really isn't. Like ego in the sense of like it's my idea. It's like no, this is the best idea. And that's why I'm so st I feel so strongly about it. It has nothing to do with it being their idea necessarily. It is their idea, but sure. Well, you tried. Yeah, I did. Yeah, so Aquarius often gets like associated with science fiction because of all the questioning and all the different alternative realities and all these they're the aliens of the Zodiac. It's a thing. People talk about that all the time. It's funny. That is funny. it's because they think outside of normal status quo. Right. Like most people don't do that. So they're like the ones that are like, Why is why are we doing it like this? And it's like why are you questioning? it. Like most people would be like, I don't understand why you're questioning it, but I mean not us, but Yeah. We get it. We're like, yeah. Yeah. But I I I can see how people who are just like contented to do things the way they've been done, they're just some people are just happy that way. I can't relate, but Yeah. It's true. Me neither. Yeah. So Aquarius has a a shadow side too, like we've seen with all of the other signs, right? Because believing strongly in your vision doesn't automatically mean your vision is right. So that's the tricky thing with this. innovation can become disruption for just for disruption's sake. Yeah. Which is problematic. independence can become isolation. Conviction can become stubbornness. And thinking about what's best for humanity in the abstract can sometimes make it surprisingly easy to forget about the actual human beings standing right in front of you. Yeah, because you're thinking about the the quote unquote greater good, but it's like th they're not individual people anymore at some right some point. Yeah. Like again, it's just becomes abstract instead of more concrete. Yeah. And the challenge for Aquarius isn't simply to have radical ideas, it's to remember who those ideas are are supposed to help, right? So like sometimes they just need some reining in. Sometimes you've got to bring them back, cl make them close their lens and just bring them down to earth a little bit. Just a little more. Yeah. Yeah, like they're like I said, full send. That's the best way to put it, which is great, but it also sometimes you get lost sight of like the important part of it. Like or what they're And they're not full send like an Aries is full send either. No. It it's a different approach. I was trying to figure out how to 'cause like if Aries is the fire starter. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They're and first to volunteer his tribute if you will. Yeah, They're just like implementing like they're the ones making the idea happen. I mean, I think Aquarius can be seen as like detached or even like robotic because they love ideas and humanity in like the ab in like an abstract form and more visibly than they love any one singular like person or moment. Right. but the distance is perspective, not indifference. So it's I think it it like gets Yeah, they get misconstrued at all. It's like cold or not caring, but it's but they step back so they can see the whole thing. The whole picture, yeah. Yeah, their le their lens of their life is a lot bigger than like full picture than everybody else. And in that zooming back, they like take account of like what is the needs of everybody and how do we do that the best way, right? Yeah. it's kind of like how we're talking about Pisces like being these dreamy, like out of but they're all the way zoomed out too. So this is the sign right before Pisces, so right at the end, right? So they're thinking on a whole nother scale than like a Gemini, to be honest with you. Gemini's like all the information that's right in front of me, let's gather and gather and gather, right? We're not necessarily thinking about things on that level of scale. Like it's just slowly getting bigger as you go along. Yeah, and I think the removal or like the ability of an Aquarius to remove themsel to zoom out, if you will. Yeah. Is what sets them apart. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. Yeah, like if you think about like they're looking at things differently than us. That doesn't make them like not care about the people in the moment. Yeah. But they're just trying to find the best possible answer to to fix the move forward. Yeah. And that's where the symbol of the water bearer becomes so interesting, because Aquarius isn't depicted holding on to what it carries, it's pouring it out. Something is being shared, given away, passed from one place to another. And whether we interpret that symbol as water, knowledge, wisdom, or renewal, the basic image remains the same. Someone possesses something the world needs and chooses to give it to everyone else. I have like a trickle down effect. Yeah, definitely. which brings us to Aquarius's mythology. Long before we had science fiction rebels Trying to change society, mythology was already telling stories about figures who challenged the established order and brought something transformative to humanity. And some paid an enormous price for it. so again, if Aquarius is an air sign, why is it a symbol of a guy pouring water? And that's where we have to go look at the constellation. Aquarius means the water bearer, and in Greek tradition the figure in the stars becomes famously associated with Ganymede. Yeah. Ganymede was a young Trojan prince, the son of King Tyros. And according to the myths, he was extraordinarily beautiful. Because of course he is. obviously, Zeus was like, hey, you're pretty. Again, it's always Zeus. problematic. and as we have learned repeatedly on this podcast, it's not a great thing for a mortal when Zeus notices you. The start of a PR nightmare. Yes. so Zeus sees Ganymede and decides he wants him on Olympus. Depending on the version of the story, Zeus either sends an eagle to carry Ganymede, or he transforms into an eagle himself. Either way, Ganymede is taken from his mortal world and brought to the home of the gods. And there he's given an extraordinary position. He becomes the cupbearer to the gods. So odd. It is. It's weird. No one can escape him. No, no one can escape. Just when you thought creepiness. You're not. Nope. his job was to serve the divine drink, also known as nectar, to the Olympians. Which might sound like, Congratulations, you've been kidnapped and now you now have a catering job. But in the ancient world, cupbearer was actually a very important position. The cupbearer served directly beside the rulers. It was a role associated with trust, access and proximity to power. So again, think about our poisons episode. Like if you're a cupbearer, you have a lot of responsibility. It's kind of a big deal. Could've ended Zeus if he wanted. He could have. And Ganymede wasn't serving ordinary kings, he was serving the gods him s themselves. Eventually Zeus immortalized him, and Ganymede became associated with this constellation of Aquarius, the figure eternally pouring a vessel in the sky. This is this is a s rabbit hole. But I'm just gonna say it for for sake. Sure. so how come he can just pull this boy from Earth 'cause he's pretty, mm-hmm but he leaves his own son Hercules and makes him earn it? It's a good question. So if he could just pull him? Prince from Earth. I don't know. Why couldn't he just pull Hercules up to Olympus and be like, sorry, son, you weren't supposed to be down there. I don't know. Yeah. Don't know. So it's interesting. and there's something else happening in the sky around him. Aquarius belongs to an area ancient astronomers associated strongly with water. So like nearby Pisces the fish, Cetus the sea monster, and Eridanus the river and Capricornus the sea goat. So Aquarius among this enormous celestial landscape of water imagery. I can see why people are getting confused, right? and with it also seasonally makes a lot of sense too. in the ancient Mediterranean and Near East world, the portion of the sky became associated with water, rain, and seasonal flooding. So the original Water bearer didn't really have much like it it it doesn't have to do with water, but it gets lumped in with all of these things because of the actual placement of it. It's surroundings. Yeah. Yeah. So like again, Capricorn on one end and Pisces. Pisces, thank you. On the other, it gets sandwiched between these like water adjacent things. Like so it makes sense. So modern astrological symbolism often interprets what Aquarius pours more metaphorically. Yeah. Not simply water, but knowledge, ideas, invocation, something that benefits the collective. And that's where the image becomes extremely Aquarian. Yeah. Look at what the water bearer is actually doing. He's not drinking from the vessel. He's not hoarding what's inside. He's pouring it out. He's distributing something. And whether we interpret that as literal life giving water or metaphorical knowledge, the symbolism becomes the same. What I have isn't only for me. And that connects beautifully to Aquarius' association with community and collective progress. Aquarius isn't necessarily interested in inventing something just so Aquarius can have it. Right. the archetype's kinda asking what happens when everyone else has access to it. It's it's again the greater good here, right? There like think about the inventions that fundamentally have changed civilization: the printing press, electricity, the internet, mass communication, technology that allowed not knowledge and resources to mar f to move farther and faster than they ever did before. Their real power wasn't simply that someone discovered something. it was that eventually other people could use it too. And that idea of possessing something powerful and giving it to humanity is going to appear again and again in a dramatic, even more dramatic way when we get to Prometheus. Because if Ganymede represents the water bearer pouring something precious from the heavens, Prometheus asks who had the right to keep it from humanity in the first place? To me that gives Aquarius. Like I hear that and I'm like that's So the water bearer one is interesting 'cause it relates to the actual constellation. But to me the Prometheus myth, as we'll get into, is very much like, yeah, this is an Aquarius myth. I mean like from the get go. I'm just like, Well that's an Aquarius. So if Hermes is peak Gemini energy, then Prometheus is Aquarius all day long. Totally. Prometheus looks at at the way the world works and essentially asks, but why do we have to work like like why does it have to be this way? Prometheus was a titan, so again, primordial almost primordial level, right? Going back before before yes, before the the gods as we know them, right? but unlike many of the Titans, Prometheus sides with Zeus during the war for control of the cosmos. So when they had the Titanomache, he sided with the current Pantheon, or current, like later Pantheon, instead of with his fellow titancy, well, yeah, yes, exactly. So when he becomes of course it does. Prometheus becomes one of humanity's great champions in Greek mythology. In later traditions, he's even credited with creating humans from clay, and he repeatedly challenges Zeus on their behalf. One of their biggest conflicts begins over sacrifice. Prometheus divides an ox into two portions. In one pile he hides the edible meat under the animal's less appealing stomach. Ew. Yeah. Not a picture I like here, but okay. In the other, he covers the bones in glistening fat, making them look like the better offering. Zeus chooses the beautiful looking piles. Because he would. Of course. and discovers the bones underneath. The myth explains why Greek sacrifices could dedicate bones and fat to the gods while humans kept the edible meat. The part that would sustain them. Yeah. So instead of giving it away, it's allowing them to live. Well they're saying that the sacrifice doesn't have to be something that you can benefit from. Yeah. It's something that's still Yeah. A sacrifice. Yeah, the gods want you to make the sacrifice, but it it doesn't have to affect you in that way. But Zeus, of course. Yeah. Is furious. Yeah. And in retaliation, he withholds fire from humanity. which is a much bigger punishment than it might sound. Because fire isn't just warmth. Fire means cooked food, protection, metalworking, tools, craftsmanship, technology, the ability to transform the natural world. Fire is one of the foundations of civilization and Prometheus decides humanity should have it. So he steals it back. And according to Hesioid, Prometheus takes divine fire and conceals it inside the hollow stalk of a fennel plant, carrying it down from the gods and returning it to humanity. Cool. Which is such an Aquarious move. Yes, for sure. He decided, Nope, we're not doing that. No, that's not nice. He takes care of it himself. Yep. So Zeus has established rule. Prometheus looked at the rule and decided, not a good idea. So he breaks it. And the important part is what Prometheus does after he takes the fire. He doesn't keep it, he doesn't use it to make himself more powerful, he gives it away. And that is where Prometheus connects beautifully to the water bearer that we talked about before. Ganymede stands in the heavens pouring his vessel into And Prometheus steals something from the heavens to bring back to humanity. Different myths but similar symbology. Something powerful moves in from the realm of the gods into the hands of everyone else. Yeah. Because it shouldn't just belong to the gods. And this is where fire becomes much bigger than literal flame. Over time, Prometheus becomes the symbol of knowledge, technology, scientific discovery, intellectual freedom. freedom and rebellion against authority. Because once humans have fired, there's no putting it back. They know what it can do. They can build with it, experiment with it, teach someone how else how to use it. And that's dangerous thing about knowledge. Once you give people an idea, it you can't completely control what happens next. Yeah, it it just kind of extends the Like folklore. Yeah. I like that. Mm-hmm. That's true. Once you let the story into the world, it's kind of takes on a life of its own. Yeah. Passed along. I like that. Yeah. Yeah, so bring that brings us back to Aquarius. Aquarius isn't rebellion simply because the rules are annoying. at its best, Aquarius rebels because it believes the system could be better. Who decides that only the gods should have fire? And Why should knowledge belong s exclusively to the powerful? What happens if ordinary people are given access to something that changes what they're capable of? Those are incredibly modern questions. we ask them about education, science, medicine, technology, the internet, who should have access, who gets to control it, and what happens when the knowledge that once belonged to a tiny group becomes available to millions. Those are big questions. I mean, I think those are literally things we're struggling with right now. Yeah. As a society. So True. Where are our Aquarian friends? Yeah, we need them. Prometheus is an ancient version of that debate. And Zeus's reaction was essentially, this is exactly why they aren't supposed to have it. Prometheus doesn't just break the rule, he changes the balance of power. Zeus makes sure that he pays for it. Prometheus is chained to a rock and every day an eagle comes and eats his liver. and because Prometheus is immortal, his liver regenerates, and so the next day he cook the eagle comes back again and again and again. Eventually Heracles or Hercules kills the eagle and frees Prometheus, but only after Prometheus has endured an extraordinary punishment for what he gave humanity. Sacrifice. That's Zeus guy. He's the worst. What a problem. and that gives us the other side of the Aquarius archetype. Because we love the idea of the visionary who challenges the system. History tends to make those people look inevitable afterwards. Of course that invention changed everything. Of course that idea was right. of course society eventually changed. But being the person who says it before everyone else agrees with you can be incredibly lonely. New ideas threaten in old systems and systems rarely surrender power politely, which may be why Prometheus became such an enduring symbol, literally. Yeah. his story asks a question humans are still debating thousands of years later. When is breaking the rules justified? If a law protects power instead of people, do you obey it? If knowledge can improve millions of lives, should anyone have the right to keep it hidden? And And how much are you willing to sacrifice for an idea you believe could change the world? Yeah, I mean i it's I think there's a reason Prometheus' story is one that like pe it's recognizable. Yeah. Because it's something that we still talk about now. We're we're like you said, we're we're going back and forth between who's who's decides what this power you know, how power gets distributed. and I think Aquarius does a really good job of like finding a way to make it so that everybody gets the access to that. You know, they're not left out in any way. It again, they're not ego driven in s in the way that some other a leader would be, right? but they're also willing to make the sacrifice like Prometheus. Like they they believe in it again that fixed air strongly. Right. They believe in it so much that they would take the punishment because they were like, no, this was the right choice. Yeah. It was the right right thing. Rebellion with a vision for what comes next. Yes. Yeah. That's perfect. That's Aquarian. All right. So Aquarius coded characters. So the the characters that aren't necessarily Aquarians Aquarians but are Aquarian in nature. Yes in vibe. Yes. their independence, their originality, rebelliousness, vision, commitment to community and tendency to look at a look at the way everyone else does things and ask. But okay, but why? Yes. Characters that we enjoy very much. So Luna Love Good. Yeah, she's a great Aquarius. I just think of her with her glasses. Yeah. She's so cool. She's so good. I love her. Just yeah, I mean she's she's unapologetically her. Yeah. It's funny to me because like I think when you watch it as a kid, you're like, she is weird. Meanwhile, I'm like, sh no, she's the cool girl. Like I like her. She actually always liked her. Me too. me too. But she was someone who I was like, she likes stands strong in herself, and I love that. Even when she stands out, it doesn't bother her. She is just. Doing her thing. With her thestrels. Yeah. So Shori from Black Panther, the sister. Yeah, the innovator, the one in the last She said the light science of all the things to help everybody and she and is like the futuristic, like experimental side of Aquarius. But she's very she just wants to use her tech to help everybody. Yeah, exactly. To better their lives. Moana. yeah, is perfectly fine breaking the rules to benefit her her community. Yeah. she recognizes that it's a problem that don't go beyond the reef. don't tell me what to do. And we have to eat, so here I go. Exactly. She's she is very much willing to disappoint her own father whom she loves and cares about for the better of her for the baby. For greater good. Yeah. Wednesday Adams. I love her. Yep. And she does not care. She does not care. I doing her thing. Yeah. She's definite like independent, unconventional, but smart and stubborn and like And she really doesn't care about the societal norms. She is who she is. Her own person. Yes, for sure. Spock from Star Trek. Willy Wonka. Inventor. Yeah, and does things differently. He really does he goes about things in a different way. Elphaba. Of course. Yeah. She's again outsider, misunderstood. but also isn't willing to accept the propaganda. She feels a sense of like just like she needs to stand up stand up for them. For them. Yeah. And not for her own sake, for theirs. Right. yeah. Again, they're the outsiders in the group and they but they are so steadfast in their belief of doing the right thing that they don't care that they're the outsider. Yeah, they don't care that they stand out or are approaching things differently. They're actually happy to be that to do that. They're okay with being the sacrificial lamb in a way that's why they're so steadfast in it, 'cause they want the movement to move forward even if it doesn't include them. Sad, but it's true. That's how much they believe in it. I know. It's so Yeah. Yeah, so I think like because they're this innovator of the Zodiac, they get like Aquarius vibe pop culture becomes like science fiction, dystopian. Like I think of like the Hunger Games. Like that feels very Aquarian to me of like this new futuristic version of the world. So famous Aquarians, The Aquarius has produced a fascinating number of people known for originality, innovation, activism, unconventional thinking, and doing things very differently from the people who came before them. so again like historic think historical. Galileo. sure. So famous astronomer and scientist basically discovered how the cosmos work. I don't understand how he kind of on accident. Kind of Charles Darwin completely shifted everybody's mindset about evol the whole evolution thing. Yep. Thomas Addison Electrolike. I mean, we're really getting into our inventors. Yes. Virginia Wolf also kind of took a different route with like her style of perspective, her consciousness. Those yeah, big concepts that can be hard to grasp. Yeah, honestly. Rosa Parks. Yep. American civil rights movement. so again, Ferdinand Magellan, so somebody who explored the planet, like literally went places people had never gone before. Yeah. Ronald Reagan. Love. Yeah, love, love, love. so Mary the First of England, Bloody Mary. She was very steadfast in her convictions. Charles Dickens, Stonewall Jackson. Yeah, I mean Douglas MacArthur, Buzz Aldrin. Again, like people Trailblazers. Trailblazers. Yeah, that's a great way to put it. lots of musicians, a lot of them. Again, breaking the rule, like breaking the mold. Maybe my favorite of all of these is Harry Styles. Yes. Well, because if you think Aquarian man, how can you not go Harry Styles? He's he doesn't dress conventionally, he doesn't have music that's conventional for like a man pop you know but whatever he but like is his own mold he is him fit to any one perfect situation that way same with like Shakira Mozart of course Mozart is a great like classical example. Yeah. Because he really shaped music moving forward but at the time people were like what is this guy doing Yeah, this guy's kinda weird. Yeah. other Aquarius musicians, Alicia Keys, The Weeknd, Meghan Thee Stallion, Bob Marley. Bob Marley's a good one. Yeah, he is. Because it kind of encompasses the whole like you get a piece of like the resistance movement. Yes. a desire for unity, yeah. Those types of things. Phil Collins. Yeah, Phil Collins, Alice Cooper, Ed Sheeran. Again, Billy Joel Armstrong, so Green Day. That's where it's good in the Green Day. Dr. Dre, Justin Timberlake, and Garth Brooks. So a lot of musicians here. And people who are like really known for their career. So I mean to me when I think Aquarians, I think Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston, like the famous Aquarians. Okay. Christian Bale. Batman. Yes, Batman. Michael B. Jordan, Chris Rock, Yoko Ono. Totally. That I see. Emma Bunting, Baby Spice. Elijah Wood. And Paris Hilton. of course. The Queen Aquarius. Yes. again, these people are very much their own people. Like they do not really fit a mold and but people like them. They're still like yeah interesting and engaging to the people around. also Michael Jordan, Caitlin Clark, Neymark, Wayne Gretzky, and Greg Norman. Right. Again, very like those are people who you recognize and know what they are. Like it's they stand out. Yeah, they stand out. Yeah. Exactly. That's what aquarians do. Yeah, so no matter what they're doing, that's kind of to me like the commonality here between all of them. So Gemini asks questions, Libra weighs the possibilities, and Aquarius looks at the answer and says, Okay, now what are we gonna do about it? Right. And that completes the progression of air. Yeah. Gemini moves the idea, Libra debates the idea, and Aquarius tries to change the world with it, to implement that idea. Right. It's a full circle. So good. Yeah. Yeah, and I mean maybe you're supposed to question things. I mean I think in our country in particular, we really pride ourselves in in pushing boundaries and questioning the things around us. Yeah, we don't like a status quo. And I mean that's sort of how societies progress. Yeah, like we were saying with Gemini, like it's important to recognize that you change over time and that you can change your mind and it's fine. Like it's okay for that to evolve. You're you're allowed to evolve and society's allowed to evolve. So I think if you go through this progression of Libra, Gemini, Aquarius, you see that that progression gets just gets bigger and bigger in scope. Right. so Gemini's looking at it through like a scope of your own personal, like, it's okay to change. And Libra is looking at this like, okay, but it's okay not to for things to be equal, right? Or not be peaceful doesn't mean justice, right? So again, it doesn't have to make everyone else happy the change, right? Status quo can be disruptive, right? And again, same with Aquarius, like in order to move forward or for something better to come along, you have to make room for it. It can't just be continuation of the same thing. They can make that uncomfortable decision. Choice. Yeah. They they can see the good in in the change. And I think that's why it's important why we still talk about these stories, because they are informative to how we should be thinking about the world, right? We should be thinking how do we push the boundary, how do we spread ideas, how do we get more information out there, who deserves the information, you know, who has power over it. There's there's a lot going on there. how information is shared or kept or is is really kind of a hot topic these days. It is. And whether things are true or not true. And who gets to decide what's true and not true? you know, I certainly will always prefer the information right out of a book. Yeah. But I think that It's tricky now. I think AI is is great and powerful, but who's controlling it? No. That's true. I agree. yeah, it's a definitely an Aquarius topic, I feel like. Yeah, holding it. It's something that's really on me too. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's the real power of air. You can't see an idea, you can't hold it in your hands, you can't point to it moving through the world. But Neither could the ancient Greek like the Greeks couldn't see the wind either. so they could only see what happened because it moved, right? Move the things have moved or changed. They shifted, yeah. Right. so maybe ideas aren't so different, invisible, restless, passing from person to person, capable of becoming a whisper, a conversation, a movement, or an entirely new understanding of the world. And every one of those begin the same way with a single thought. So the water signs taught us how to feel, the fire signs taught us how to act, the earth signs taught us how to build, and the air signs teach us how to think. stay curious enough to ask another question, to care enough about justice to weigh the answer, and to imagine a future that doesn't have to look exactly like the past. Gemini reminds us that ideas need to move. Libra reminds us that ideas need to be considered. And Aquarius reminds us that sometimes an idea is powerful enough to change everything. And whether you're Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, or none of the above, but the mythology keeps returning to the same truth. The world changes the moment someone imagines a different one. And that's air sign behavior. Yeah, true. like what I was saying, I love how air signs ended up at the end. I'm sure there's other ways we can look into. But yeah. That's it. But this has been really helpful. Yeah, it's been fun. Yeah, we liked it for sure.
