Nick Thompson: I went from San Antonio, Texas. Then from there I had part two of my training in Vegas and yeah, that was everything I was supposed to be cracked up to be. And then from there, literally I skipped the board all the way to the other side of the planet in Okinawa, Japan.
KOOL KEN: give you some claps on that one because that
Nick Thompson: Thank you, brother. Thank you.
KOOL KEN: To to go from not knowing where you were gonna sleep to finally having some stability. How did that make you feel?
Nick Thompson: Similar to what I was saying before, it finally felt like I didn't have to have a gun to my head to figure out my next move. And to this day I still have like these moments of anxiety of all right, if I don't push the right button, the bomb is gonna trip and all that, but it just felt like a breath of fresh air. 'Cause especially Okinawa in particular,
KOOL KEN: Mm-hmm.
Nick Thompson: it was just always a lifelong dream to head out that way.
