Welcome to GPL’s Season 2 Episode 16!
👉🏽 This podcast is free, but if you’d like, please buy Jalon some coffee. She can’t do these newsletters and podcasts without it! (Seriously).
In This Episode…
Back from our accidental hiatus, we are fully in Election 2026 mode. Too much is at stake not to.
So we're chatting with two DFW Organizers to remind you that there is something we ALL can do. No one can do it all, but we all can do something.
And the thing we all can do is vote.
So, check your registration right now, to make sure you can do this one thing.

Chanda Parbhoo
(Taken from the SAAVETX website)
Founder Chanda Parbhoo, a South Asian mother, and longtime community advocate from Dallas, heard that question over and over. After years of volunteering in local schools, advocating for equitable education, and organizing against rising hate crimes, she saw a deeper problem: South Asians were not being counted — and not being courted — in Texas politics.

What We’re Watching
Somehow I missed this controversy (and honestly this book) — but now I’m locked in and want to know EVERYTHING!
Hey, why DID the whole country see this ad for Ken Paxton?!
Also, no one has asked her for her opinion. And if you wanna talk about the elephant in the room….why are you, a woman who is trying to get away from this dude, the same man who has embarrassed you all summer (really for years) with his galavants all over the world with his married mistress, doing THIS?!
Just…fascinating.
That’s it for this episode! Thanks for listening and subscribing...and sharing!!!
