We Live in a Simulation: What UFO Disclosure Reveals About Reality with Ron James

In this thought-provoking episode of First Contact, host Eesha Patel welcomes Ron James, a filmmaker, on-camera personality, writer, editor, researcher, entrepreneur, and Media Relations Director for MUFON (the Mutual UFO Network). Ron also serves on the Board of Directors of the Hollywood Disclosure Alliance, where he works to bring the truth about UFOs and UAPs into mainstream culture through entertainment and media. His latest film, Accidental Truth: Beyond UFO Disclosure — a sequel to his 2023 documentary — hit number one upon release and offers an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the UFO disclosure movement.
Together, Eesha and Ron explore what lies beyond the question of whether non-human intelligence exists and ask what we should be doing with that knowledge. Ron shares his journey from UFO enthusiast to filmmaker and activist, tracing his path through key figures in the field — from Nick Pope to Stanton Friedman — and his growing conviction that humanity is facing the greatest cover-up in its history. The conversation ventures into consciousness, simulation theory, life after death, and the galactic context for humanity's place in a vast, inhabited universe.
From the inside story of how David Grusch was brought to public attention, to physical materials retrieved by experiencers and handed to Congress, to the profound questions about what disclosure really means for the future of our species — this episode pushes the conversation forward in ways rarely seen in mainstream UFO media.
