So I landed with the Borders bookstores and UCLA Law School at the time. I went to pick up his book and I started going to yoga with pick out and I got like addicted to yoga. And I go there. I was basically relaxing yoga boom in L.A. and I'd seen in New Art, but we had come to Arizona on vacations, would say, if the Arizona Bill Mueller and I go to trial a year in a studio and it didn't exist, it was like the best yoga studio in a basement or like a Motel six.
00;01;22;22 - 00;01;49;12
Unknown
And it was just like, you would never go there or I didn't. It was it was just not a place you want to, you know, be. So I ended up writing a business plan. And for Uber Studios when I was at UCLA and, you know, I worked briefly as an entertainment lawyer in L.A., But at the same time, when I was studying for the bar, I raised some money and I opened our first yoga studio in Arizona.
00;01;49;14 - 00;02;16;11
Unknown
And little did I realize I was in world there as I'm actually teaching you. But I just thought it was great and so I moved out to Arizona in 2000, and we basically started our yoga studios, and I was teaching yoga all over the world to hip hop rap music. It was interesting because no one else was doing it, but I had a lot of job security in that no one was going to fire me because sort of my own business, we kind of play around with it.
00;02;16;14 - 00;02;42;28
Unknown
And you know, one time after class, a friend of mine was like, You're like a gangster, a spiritual gangster. We started making T-shirts and we saw them in the yoga studio about 13 years ago. We saw the A Business to Lifetime Fitness and Spiritual Beating Store. Where was like the evolution of of all the stuff you learned at the Mirror studio on collective energy, positive energy, feeling good.
00;02;42;28 - 00;03;10;14
Unknown
And we also created we're like the first people who created a retail boutique connected to the yoga studio. So it was like a way to tell experience. When you tell people to leave it disguised as a club and company, but really to take that and share globally versus just kind of sharing something in local in Phenix, very cool and sort of new still own spiritual games, studio ownership and that was that part of that.
00;03;10;15 - 00;03;45;23
Unknown
Well so you know Vanessa and I found spiritual gangster we have some other friends and family who are partners now. But yeah, we'd say, you know, the lifetime fitness deal was great because, you know, I'm Jewish, But Allen really turned 13 and I was 18 and a do a deal and and want to kind of grow up and but we rabbi we had spiritual gangster guy right in front of us and after we saw the the yoga studio you know for like a year and a half it was kind of we had just had our first son and I was traveling on, I did a lot of bucket list like Michael Jordan Fantasy Camp and
00;03;45;23 - 00;04;02;23
Unknown
golf camp and went to surf and and did a lot of skiing. And then spiritual dance was kind of like more of an expensive hobby. But we were making the class was our kids were taking it. Vanessa was doing the design, but after it was like one of those things happened. We're just like, okay, I need our business here.
00;04;02;23 - 00;04;25;16
Unknown
So it transformed from sort of a passion side project into, you know, a real business that's amazed me. And how was it like working with your wife through all this? It's great. I mean, you know, we've had a lot of ups and downs and, you know, versus time we've been super aligned in this times. We got disconnected. But it's it's been amazing.
00;04;25;16 - 00;04;54;28
Unknown
And we have I think we've both grown a lot through it and out of that. And I mean, business has it you so many lessons you learn a business and I think they get excited even more when you're working with your partner or spouse or someone like that. Yeah. So give us an example. Just in my best, as our business has grown from very hands on to doing everything to getting her hands off, and we'll let people in our business who some of them were helpful number it was kind of got going on the long track.
00;04;55;00 - 00;05;12;17
Unknown
So just really getting aligned and making sure that we keep that source of the brand. Like we got disconnected and it was hot. You know, it was a a challenging thing for us. But, you know, it's been great because we're reconnecting with the brand and bringing the energy back and getting the line and getting the whole team aligned.
00;05;12;17 - 00;05;41;22
Unknown
But there's just been a lot of things along the way of like, you know, and change in the business and so on. Designing and building our website and doing all of that stuff. So, you know, sometimes there can be extra stress and it's just that's a lot. And also to sometimes it's like you have to make time for relationship and then the kids and then work off versus just kind of offsetting the gathering so that work can dominate the conversation, which isn't always the best thing.
00;05;41;25 - 00;06;12;03
Unknown
Yeah, for sure. And you the what I read was the brand. The goal of the brand was to make the customers feel good about what they were and what they stand for. And and then a focus on different ways to be of service and to really create a product that motivates your community to spread love, kindness and use energy and enthusiasm to open the rewards to your own opportunity.
00;06;12;06 - 00;06;32;15
Unknown
That's a pretty big mission. Is that is that changed at all? Is that still that became of that the idea behind that? Yeah. I mean, the idea was to do one more product and make people feel great about wearing comfortable and this high vibration frequency to I'd you know it's almost like a joke it's superhero clothes for adults.
00;06;32;15 - 00;06;49;08
Unknown
Some people like oh when I wear this it's like you know my best workout or I was dealing with cancer and this was a shirt that were ready to do chemo. So those kind of things are aspirational, inspiring. But I think spiritual gangster is also more than just clothing. I think right now we're kind of like that's where we started.
00;06;49;11 - 00;07;22;23
Unknown
But I think it applies to so many things and it's sort of a way of looking at life and about, you know, it's kind of, you know, lifestyle's a little cliche or like leading your best life, but it's about like being tuned in and being aligned, like noticing serendipity and synchronicity, coincidence and, and also to a big part about spiritual education, sharing things that that help people have their own life, you know, being rich or poor, abundant, whether it's yoga or tai chi or meditation or things like astrology or travel.
00;07;22;25 - 00;07;44;01
Unknown
I think that's a big part of, you know, what, what's behind spiritual gangster? Like, what are the things we can do to be of higher frequency? I'm you know, I'm a big you know, I love to call plunge every I do the sauna. We do a lot of different breathing but how you know share sort of different ways for people to find flow to feel tuned in and analyzed.
00;07;44;01 - 00;08;08;19
Unknown
And I think that's the goal is spiritual gangster, not only providing clothes that make them feel aligned and represent who they are, what they stand for, but also the same time kind of dripping in in, in a in an easy way for people to get started and and get access to new things. So so that's a lot and that's very, very ambitious and and inspiring, frankly.
00;08;08;25 - 00;08;43;11
Unknown
What is it, Buck? What what's important about that to you? Well, everything. I mean, I'm a big believer, like, I love to share and I love to teach and I love to help people live better lives like to have, you know, great experiences and everything they do to be in flow always. So if we can help people that feel better about themselves, nine Things to Take Better care about themselves and then spread positivity.
00;08;43;11 - 00;09;14;17
Unknown
It's contagious, you know. So I gang for good. So the whole thing's important for me, but really energy behind it. It's not so much of a commodity, it's an energy. And the energy behind what spiritual banks or stands for is really what what's the most important for me? Again, forget. Yeah, I learned that. Yeah. So it's interesting to me because I have my own regain forget kind of belief as well around finance, you know.
00;09;14;19 - 00;09;44;14
Unknown
So oftentimes it's really people are focusing on the analytical side of things. You know, the goal they need to save a certain amount of money to get to that goal. And so and then take a brain off and go about something else. They're not necessarily thinking about the creative side with that. And so when it comes to the analytical side, with you being a trained attorney, you feel like, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00;09;44;14 - 00;10;14;27
Unknown
My daughters and you have about thinking out of brewing in the family. Yeah, yeah. I never thought I would be, but yeah, I'd go, bro. So, you know, much of being an attorney is analytical. There is some creativity as well. But how did you make that shift from analytical side, being an attorney, you know, trained attorney going to law school, and then that from my from my notes, I found out that you kind of struggle early on and then you finish in the top of your class.
00;10;14;29 - 00;10;42;14
Unknown
But then how did you transition from that legal side to being such a really, in my mind, extremely creative, flourishing individual? And what I don't know if I mean, I think I was law school great to think logically and give a framework for that. I've already been creative and and I think, you know, a lot of what law school taught me is I could do my whole way and do really well, Like I felt I was failing other law school and, you know, finishing close to top of my class.
00;10;42;14 - 00;11;04;13
Unknown
And and it was just one of those things like we're like, okay, great. I could kind of do it my own way and be successful or even more successful. So gaining some confidence, I think a lot of applying myself and I think, you know, yoga's a really interesting thing. Yoga opens, you up like, you know, in yoga, sort of like a gateway drug to spirituality.
00;11;04;15 - 00;11;24;04
Unknown
So it's was a thing that got me open to so many more things that have been white around the always sort of it cleanses your own lenses of perception. And I think you know, Tony Robbins, who we're both fans and we always get in your head your debt. And I think the problem with most people who are smart is they're operating too much in their head and all their other senses are shut out.
00;11;24;11 - 00;11;44;17
Unknown
So you live with your five senses. You can you can tune in to so much more around you all times. And I think, you know, yoga for me sort of allowed me to have more sensors open, to have way more perception and to start to recognize signs and synchronicity said happening. And as I did that, I realized, like, what, you know, like is happening for me.
00;11;44;17 - 00;12;05;06
Unknown
That's why I always, you know, I'm a big believer of that. It's and once you get the lesson, you get the reward. So it's like, how do I tune in to really what's going on and how do I open up and being more present but have my sensors more open So I'm one moment and I can realize what's here for me, you know, And I think that's what Flow State is about.
00;12;05;06 - 00;12;39;02
Unknown
Like, you know, you know, I had a great you know, I was just in Mexico and I read your book and it was it was great. I mean, you being I mean, I'd love to talk about your Iron Man and that whole story and but just the idea of doing well and you could even realize was possible and then also having like a purpose or a higher purpose and why that sort of power to get there, I went sort of like the fuel to, you know, you're not sure what's going to fuel you, but I think there's a lot of things that happen to get you in flow state and in all different areas.
00;12;39;02 - 00;13;02;04
Unknown
Right. And I think like but it comes back to me is like, are you tuned in, Are you present? Are you aligned? So as are you able to you know, it's tough to be in flow state If you got to you you're out of alignment, you know, just in any way physically, spiritually, emotionally, etc.. Mean, you know, for me, my, you know of my yoga would give a flow stable on trade.
00;13;02;04 - 00;13;20;15
Unknown
But I love to do a lot of heli skiing and backcountry skiing where you're tuned into all the elements, you know, surfing is not a great surfer, but I love to surf. We play golf together and there's times that you can really, you know, be out in nature, be tuned in, have our senses turned out, and it's fun.
00;13;20;18 - 00;13;54;14
Unknown
So there's like an endorsement. RUSH So it's like it's not work, right? There's like this absolute joy to play. And I think to whether it's business or golf, it's like writes about play. And you get really good at your skills by playing. That's how you access flow. State Like, that's why I like quality now. And in your book about competition, athletics are because when you're playing and you get to see, you know, what you made up or how to get the most out of it and you know, that's really present in professional sports.
00;13;54;16 - 00;14;15;14
Unknown
You know, you see people, whether it's Kobe, you know, I just was spinning a time with a friend of mine who created commissioned Nike, and now he's like a Zen meditation teacher and, you know, trainer George Montag, that the idea of like, you know, you can these are skills you can learn so that it becomes easier to access flow.
00;14;15;14 - 00;14;34;21
Unknown
State Right. I mean, yes, it can happen by accident, but there's also ways that it can happen intentionally and that you might have all the pieces. You know, my life is pretty much enclosed wherever I go. It's like things open. Like, it's like couple things. And I realize like, I was just like people are like, Oh my God, this is so going to happen.
00;14;34;21 - 00;14;56;27
Unknown
So incredible. People say, Oh, it's unbelievable that somebody like like that makes no sense. Like, why do what happens better when you think is is it unbelievable? I said it's totally believable. And imagine and I used to say, Oh, of course. And now it's insane. And I said, Of course I work. So it and I frame toward you the other day, which I is even better.
00;14;56;27 - 00;15;19;17
Unknown
He said, Of course. Thank you. Source. So there's you know you the more gratitude you have for the moment, the more what you want will continue to flow to you, you know, So that's some of the most people who want to share what you lost. So like involve you financial literacy and helping people get that and now you're sharing this with all these other people because like now, how do you share gifts?
00;15;19;17 - 00;15;37;18
Unknown
Like how do you take where you know, you know where in age, where? Well, I'm a 50 and it's like it takes a while to kind of accumulate this wisdom in this lifetime. And how do you take what you learn and then give it to a people in a way that they can give it? It's not and they can understand it and make it practical.
00;15;37;25 - 00;15;54;03
Unknown
You know, I always tell people it's like, no one gives a shit what, you know, they care about what you do. And I think there's a lot of information that, you know, you're wanting to get across to people. And some people like I know, some people like, I don't know, but there's a, there's a whole nother level between knowing and doing.
00;15;54;05 - 00;16;16;01
Unknown
And I think that's the key, the real thing that connect with, especially when you're getting into like getting people's finances in order. It's like, how do you get them to do it? And you, if they know part of it, like we were talking earlier, like, you know, super complicated subject matter, even, you know, I'm a lawyer and fellow educator and still giving 80% of the way.
00;16;16;01 - 00;16;32;03
Unknown
There is like a challenge, but it's the last 20% where all your blind spots are. So it's like, how do you get in a place where your action with great guides, you know, it's like, you know how skin you great guide. You go on a trail, right? And you want to you want people who know the trail where you're going, right.
00;16;32;03 - 00;17;02;01
Unknown
And successful navigated it and can bring it on safe. Yeah, well, there's a visual that I've seen and then I'm sure it's a good word up there. And just Google Little Yellow House Galveston Hurricane and it's a cute white and yellow house sitting up angry and in a sea of demolished homes around the neighborhood like every other one is completely wiped up.
00;17;02;01 - 00;17;23;01
Unknown
But this cute little yellow white House is sitting there just unscathed and everybody out. So we're I'm talking to people about what does that 80% that you just talked about look like, you know, getting your finances. 80%. Yeah, I'm pretty good. I have a shit ton of money just for my business. Whatever. I'm given probably 80% to ten.
00;17;23;03 - 00;17;50;27
Unknown
That's about all these other people look like they are 80%. They're all eight out of ten. But that guy so compelled would be a ten out of ten. And it's really hard to get to a ten out of ten on Iran or even with the team. But that is really so a question oftentimes I like to ask someone else, do you want to be part of the financially successful world that that have their financial house put together perfectly or the part that it's financially successful that does it?
00;17;50;29 - 00;18;10;12
Unknown
Because our consequence is and but sometimes you see that in awareness. What's it look like? You know, I never thought about that. It's like the Three Little Pigs. You have the straw house, the whip house and brick house. You know, most people live in like that, the wooden house, you know, what's a brick house feeling? And then we knew our dinner workouts.
00;18;10;14 - 00;18;30;24
Unknown
What does that feel like and what does that allow you to do for all of the other more important things out there in your life? You know, all the non delectable things? Can you does that free time and energy to focus on all those other things, you know, your health, personal relationships, all those sorts of things. So you talked a little bit about that.
00;18;30;24 - 00;18;53;12
Unknown
I wouldn't putting spiritual gangster together in the team of people. You've got investors, friends, family, but you also have a team. And so it's it's it's like that when you start a company and you bring people on board and hire a CEO and let people help you so that you can further the mission. So I'm going to bring you back to that a little bit.
00;18;53;14 - 00;19;15;11
Unknown
Let's talk a little bit about your success in business and how you put together a team and then how you and Vanessa still keep the mission going. But then you have these people that are subject matter experts that you plugged in to deliver and then what have been the results by by doing that, you know, division of labor delegation.
00;19;15;11 - 00;19;37;28
Unknown
And then what you're able to do is that is the creative part of that a team, you know, a lot of it comes back to alignment. And I think there has been times where this has been really aligned. It's worked while we've had leaders and workers and peasants who were totally aligned with us. And we've also been the other way where we've got people between us and even been pushed out of our own business before that was completely out of alignment.
00;19;37;28 - 00;20;04;05
Unknown
And you know, the business almost failed, right? It was like not only unhealthy, but it was toxic. And now we have a home team and we're getting aligned and and now we're doing exactly talked about like how can we carry the vision and saw the why and then get everyone to realize we're all working in rowing together. But I mean, I've learned a lot about that and, you know, letting the wrong people come in and then abdicating it, you know, it can get complicated.
00;20;04;05 - 00;20;26;10
Unknown
You got good intentions and you can complicate things by bringing in other people. Yeah, for sure you can't. That alignment is key. So what have you done to try and make sure that you, Vanessa, and the team is aligned for the through the Prime directive one getting on the same page and getting clear about what we're doing, but to getting back control of our own business.
00;20;26;10 - 00;20;55;28
Unknown
Right. Getting out a lot of hands out of the pot which were kind of like we out muddying the waters or, you know, like and just making the disturbances in the for. So I think a lot of that is for us is keeping it back clear and connecting it to a source. And it's why and why we're doing it because spiritual gangster got lost for a while and it was it was more about product or and it got disconnected from Vanessa than our source.
00;20;56;00 - 00;21;17;16
Unknown
And that was fine. That was one of the hardest things about our business. And then having to take the steps to get it back and rearrange it and and because it stands for something that's so big and it's both, but it's also important to harness it, right, and direct it. And, you know, it's a work in progress for us, to be honest with you.
00;21;17;16 - 00;21;35;12
Unknown
It's like, you know, the right people on the team get in the line and get in the plane together. And then that's how it works, you know, for Jackson, who I love. And so I was a good friend of my in his book up 11 rings he taught he goes from I am great to we are great like different levels of achievement.
00;21;35;12 - 00;21;53;10
Unknown
It's great right And the idea why is it it's like it's great. Like when you're in a first things great while he's sharp, it's awesome, but it's a different level of elevation, right? And it's it's so it's you my mom was that's interesting I was as we my mom used to say there's a reason why it starts with I and well and it starts with me.
00;21;53;12 - 00;22;16;22
Unknown
So the idea was really you know if you make it about, it's not what I feel. It's about what you're doing. And it's about everyone involved and the impact you're making. And when things seem to work a lot better and there's a currency to it. So it was starts with I wellness starts with way man, that could be the title of the spine.
00;22;16;23 - 00;22;54;06
Unknown
Yes. And God, that's amazing. I never, never did that. I just bought Phil Jackson's book. God You married recommended to me. No, it's actually someone else recommended by scholar boomers in here. I don't know. Bryce. News in areas like Chicago and rather being growing up in Illinois. Then, of course you know I like I just Blindspot then when got by me but so I have it here stacking up it's great now I think that's you know that perspective but when you're doing it, it's a great way of using sports and teamwork to go to the championship team, which is really what you're doing for people's finances, right?
00;22;54;08 - 00;23;14;02
Unknown
You need to build a championship team in there's ways for the team to work better or to work in the optimize and about in alignment being in flow. So they got to take one. I'm a person fan and so I grew up with the bad boy pistons. I was like, Oh my God, I saw goals a lot. I love Joe Jackson.
00;23;14;03 - 00;23;43;26
Unknown
And I mean, I think there's a lot to be, you know, his style leadership is incredible. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. You know, in you are spot on the work that we do and getting you everywhere alliance that every every financial decision that they make or is in the lineup with their most closely held values and important goals. It's it's the teams challenge you know it's a team and that's the goal that's why people hire us to do that part of the work that we do.
00;23;43;28 - 00;24;15;12
Unknown
And so much of what you said, it just hits home and I mean, it's not it's not like the finance side is complicated, but it's telling able and and they can be handle it has to be and you know it served Wayne with the team and so forth but it's so much more goes into it to even allow someone to have the the space to take a step back and then determine what's important with it and then the base upon which those are based.
00;24;15;14 - 00;24;36;13
Unknown
So team get there are that even going to play similarly maybe even think about it. So I've talked to people before like what are what are some of your big goals? I don't have any goals or What do you mean? I've achieved all my goals. So you have no more goals? Mike Are you fucking kidding me? You know, I mean, no judgment, but.
00;24;36;15 - 00;24;55;23
Unknown
Okay, let's let's take a step back and let's think about that as you went down the road. Tell me something important to you. You know, and then what I found is that people have the ability to just kind of take a step back, get in their head. You say, get out of here happy, get in your head and think what's important to you.
00;24;55;25 - 00;25;26;17
Unknown
Then all of a sudden go and start opening up. So my experience is that people that have told you that they have many more goals, if they actually slow down, they actually come up a lot of roles and then that it's about going to get those. So like I'd get the same you either grinning, growing or ripe and rotting and you know just from the from the janitor to the guy that's almost business to the CEO of a company, there's always something out there that's important that you can always do better.
00;25;26;20 - 00;25;41;14
Unknown
I mean, I totally agree. And I think that, you know, happiness comes from is actually achieving your goals. It's it's who you have to become to get there. And I think that, you know, one of the things that, you know, this is another thing I got from Tony Robbins is like, we are about to see some of that out.
00;25;41;14 - 00;25;58;19
Unknown
And now you got to go figure out where you go next, because it's it's will always have to be something you're looking to achieve or you want to have. And I think, you know, my mom is a clarity's power. So, you know, I do vision boards every year. And I think that, you know, also keep them on paper, get in front, you see, you know, where you're going.
00;25;58;21 - 00;26;19;16
Unknown
And then I think the whole idea, though, is like I feel like I'm very clear what I'm doing or I'm going the thing now, building the structure, you know, whether it's your business or your finances. So it supports and gets in alignment to your goals and then that gets optimized. Well, yeah. I mean, we talked about, you know, taking a step back at you you journal.
00;26;19;16 - 00;26;42;22
Unknown
So 5 minutes I dream of a digital every day and I have for the last five years and I journal in the morning that and I think one it's there's a couple to those two aspects that journal that is but you know one of that your own idea is goal setting. So what I'm always thankful I'm grateful for so you start you get an attitude of gratitude and that allows you to get more but to, you know, figure out, look what I want to have happen today.
00;26;42;22 - 00;27;04;06
Unknown
And certainly what it's relationships are. Finances are being thrown at. Be very clear about what I want that happened you were the end of the day. You know I, I, I count my wins like you don't be so you know, not only it's amazing that people don't know what that they want or have goals for, but it's also do most people don't realize how many goals you have in the day.
00;27;04;06 - 00;27;23;28
Unknown
So you know you can write hundreds of things of that happen every day that like great things we you're winning all the time. And it's like, yeah, the whole idea is you want to create these neural pathways to, you know, get the habit of getting what you want, right? Or how to get you conditioned to expect to have whatever you write to happen.
00;27;23;28 - 00;27;50;14
Unknown
Not only does it happen, it happens in the environment and imagine and yeah, even more incredible. So I think that's when the magical life starts to happen and that's what we're supposed to be and that's what people call flow. You know, I've done a lot of stuff like the flow experts and, you know, but really flow state is, is when you're you're you're you're, you're having fun.
00;27;50;16 - 00;28;12;06
Unknown
You're you're totally tuned in. You're only using it takes some sort of physical effort, but, you know, everything's working and that's how they supposed to work, you know, like you're supposed to live in flow. It's now this like only thing that you're not supposed to access. I mean, that's the that's the thing about it's like people are of.
00;28;12;09 - 00;28;35;15
Unknown
But that's, that's how it's supposed to live. Yeah yeah I agree we we can overcomplicate like the game of golf, you know when we last played down to Mexico, you're like, just feel the shot. Visualize the shot you got to lay blame for, if you like, always thinking it totally dead. And also to us, like where you focusing our focus and where you want to go or you focus on where you wanted to go.
00;28;35;20 - 00;29;01;03
Unknown
And he you know, I think but, you know, I mean, listen, we both play a lot of golf. I can tell you pretty much who a person is after two or three holes golfing with them, how they travel, how do you do anything? So you do everything but golf. Subbing is why as things when you see people's personality come out, you know how they deal with adversity and good things and bad things and how they relate to people.
00;29;01;03 - 00;29;39;00
Unknown
And it's just a it's a it's a good rail to kind of see deeper in the people. Yeah, for sure. I'm mean, we try to on something they said it's okay well you didn't say this but when I of course I mean is when you're trying to achieve different goals some their business or any other goal you know physical relationship financial you it's it's you got to slow down sometimes to speed up and so you know your daily ritual of journaling in the morning in the evening you would also credits 2 hours of meditation a day as the number one reason for success.
00;29;39;02 - 00;30;00;11
Unknown
But slowing the mind down, getting into, I guess, would be you know, better than better to allow your your your brain to think creatively and just propel yourself towards towards the goal. It's important to you. I mean, a lot of things are counter to a golf being one of them, but the idea of meaning slow to go fast.
00;30;00;11 - 00;30;16;00
Unknown
It's like tied here and in the martial arts. And I was showing my I was like, slow is fast, but it really is because once you can get, then you can always turn the speed up a little bit. But I also too is it's honestly like, you know, people who are like us typing to slow down other people in the speed up.
00;30;16;02 - 00;30;38;12
Unknown
But the idea of meditation or any of these physical activities, whether it's yoga, it's not necessarily yes, they say slow your mind up, but it's it's more about tuning you into the pace of life. Right. You can be too fast or too slow, but it's like, how can you get to the same frequency and what's happening around you where you can be to let you know.
00;30;38;12 - 00;31;05;04
Unknown
I just saw Dead End Company last time. Phenix Well, I mean incredible. Like they say, you know, last to heart, but they're so tuned in and they're so aligned. And what is that in the music anymore? It's magic. It's like so much beyond just playing the songs or the setlist is the absent energy and what's happens from them being so tune in involved.
00;31;05;04 - 00;31;35;13
Unknown
We have been doing this now for 35 years, right? So but with this little effort that what happens is incredible. So I just think that giving in tune, you know, and getting at the frequency of like, you know, it's like everything. We're all frequency, everything's vibrating, like attracts like. But the more you get in a frequency that's abundance, it's gratitude that's helping people, the better your life gets.
00;31;35;13 - 00;31;58;25
Unknown
And you're tracking more of those type of people. Yeah. And it's it's not just one thing or two or three things. It's just it's a practice. You know, you mentioned that earlier. This is a journey and you're you're, you're it's a daily practice and I think about that a lot with the other thing too, the default mechanism is the matrix are no shit, right?
00;31;59;02 - 00;32;17;17
Unknown
So we don't do anything. You default back to crap. Right. And same thing. In fact, you never do anything anymore. Crap. So if any of you have the best of that's true, then you need to go to your practice and get them up. So it's like that's memorizing. They have the best day because constantly and you're putting your energy field in a place where you have the best day.
00;32;17;19 - 00;32;36;01
Unknown
You set about that instead of going, you're going to take off for two months and that your shit, you're like, It's going to change because your frequency changes. Yeah, absolutely. It's is that growing and growing in a way in a body? And so I go to the gym in a in gym, what's left and you're good. You got to keep going back.
00;32;36;03 - 00;32;57;14
Unknown
Why? And everything you either can like, you know, like you said, it's like you're contracting or expand, right? And then you get very clean also to a lot of people who make a lot of money, you know, like then we start to contract. You know, we know a lot of people who add successes one and all. And then when a relationship falls apart, they had health problems in them, but they start contracting versus they live their lives in expansion and now they're in contraction.
00;32;57;18 - 00;33;19;10
Unknown
You know, and I think that you that's like, how do you have expansion your entire life and survived times to you don't just like find you great business success then maybe now it's time to expand other it's physically mentally emotionally relationship wise and to me wife it's it's all about balance is over muses not balance but it's about having it all so it's about having English.
00;33;19;15 - 00;33;43;18
Unknown
It's about having great financial abundance. It's about having, like, amazing friends and connections and synchronous and serendipity and being in great health and all these things are important because if you don't have one, you don't have any. And I mean, the health is the most important, but, you know, it's like everything's energy. And the more energy you have, the more you can handle anything in life is another source of energy.
00;33;43;18 - 00;34;14;19
Unknown
Right. Allows you to energize or fuel what you want. But it's not the end goal. Money's that a tool to help you live your greatest life and have the best impact and share your gas. Yeah, absolutely. And I, I, I was just thinking, was my train of thought on that? Well, again, yeah I think it would be more and so and I'd go just I've read this book The Calcium Prophecy.
00;34;14;25 - 00;34;31;14
Unknown
You read that book probably more than once. It's great Now in 20 years, 15 years, that was great. Well, you know, there are certain things that get me fired up and give you about out. And so I read it, you know, like you when it first came out years ago and then I maybe the follow up book or two.
00;34;31;16 - 00;34;55;11
Unknown
But, you know, when I went back and read it, you know, sometimes different books and speakers that you hear Tony Robbins and others around is similar information. But you hear it read it a second time. And maybe because when you are in life, it resonates a little bit differently. And there are things that I definitely picked up where as a second or third time I read that book that I didn't pick up the first time through, and I'm actually been going through.
00;34;55;11 - 00;35;21;26
Unknown
And we to tried in a number of of books, Victor Frankl's a man's roots remaining right And as a man thank you. And just, you know on and on and from a growing standpoint, I found that when you like, everything is built on what you previously know and as you gets a new album, then you read and listen and meet people, you go to the next level.
00;35;21;26 - 00;35;46;29
Unknown
And by through that process of that great and growing of expansion, you can, you will read things that may put you on to a different pathway. And you're also thinking differently. You're not thinking many literally that they can create a creative, creative way. And so that's that's I found that to be just just helpful and interesting. It's a dynamic way of doing things.
00;35;47;01 - 00;36;09;09
Unknown
Well, I think too, like, you know, I'm a whether we have a share, a lot of reading and a lot of the same types of books of like personal growth and just connecting the dots. And I love biographies, but I think, you know, a lot of, you know, like what I what I hear and technologists, like most people think the same shit over and over and over again.
00;36;09;11 - 00;36;36;18
Unknown
So you think it's not new thoughts, it's just recycled same shit. And even thinking for the last 20 years and you get a rut and really put grooves in your brain, I think in a new knowledge and we do a lot of how you reset that frequency so you can actually bring in insight. And you know, it's like I'm a big reader of books over and over again, like you, when I listen and you know, I have some books I read ten times, like the game all over how to play it.
00;36;36;18 - 00;36;52;23
Unknown
You know, it's just every time I read it, it's another thing I get. And then, you know, you start to master it. But I it's a little different. Like I'm totally different now than I was 20 years ago or even last year when I read it right. And then different things hit you like, Oh, that's what's going on there.
00;36;52;26 - 00;37;23;27
Unknown
So I think that, you know, these these things sort of like you hear the same thing, maybe sound a little differently or you have context based on other things that happen in your life that now that piece fits in. And but I think, you know, one of the things you see is, is people and especially are not smart, so they get stuck in their own thinking and as you get older and you get stopped by people getting more stubborn and or harder and they, you know, you have to find ways to interrupt those patterns and create new patterns for expansion because you keep doing the same thing over and over.
00;37;23;27 - 00;37;53;25
Unknown
It's not expansion. So it's a contract. Yeah, true. There are there are things, you know, there's things we don't know who sees them that we don't know. And then just thinking about, even though we don't know. And so for a busy high achiever, a successful entrepreneur with a guy building his business, running his business, the athlete, you know, you're why you're building and growing all over, there's there's things you can do to think abundantly and be in a better spot to get what you want quicker and other things in life.
00;37;53;28 - 00;38;21;06
Unknown
So how can I have it all like so I think that to me it's like you need it. It's important to be successful. It's not just about making money or having a good business. It's about having a successful and abundant life, and it's about in really important relationships. I think the key is part of is one having optimal energy and then making sure that you have the right people around you and that, but also also to, I think focusing on the so where focus goes, energy flows, are you focusing on the areas?
00;38;21;09 - 00;38;45;14
Unknown
Because a lot of times too, we sort of focus on the area that's out of alignment. You know what, focus on the area that's totally working great too and everything else. So the idea is, am I giving attention to all the different areas of my life so I can give myself the life that's better? And I can imagine when everything flows down together, that's how it all works, right?
00;38;45;16 - 00;39;04;12
Unknown
And it's integrated. And I think that's like, you know, having Tai Yoga for so long, I can look and you see people when their bodies are out of alignment, right? And they look uncomfortable and everything else. And you see people that finances are either alignment or you see people in relationships are out of alignment. And it's just a matter of time until it breaks.
00;39;04;14 - 00;39;36;05
Unknown
Yeah, no doubt about it. There was something about helping people be in alignment and then definitely it's like an itch they scratch. And I everybody, you know, once, once wants to be in alignment and then I'm not just that just that's probably like a little bit about, you know, your work ethic really wants that. Most people are willing to do the work to get there, you know, and it feels better when you get there, you know, And I think to this a lot of times choose like what needs to happen for people to change, right?
00;39;36;06 - 00;40;01;09
Unknown
Usually people kind of like, you know, they get some of their needs met and their get real comfortable being uncomfortable. It's like you're a year Think of yourself as a plant in a part of in this really small pot and you can't really grow but you're you're that's like you know you're uncomfortable but you got to actually work it out and planted in something where you can grow and blossom and expand.
00;40;01;09 - 00;40;25;25
Unknown
But that that takes a right. You know, most people have to have, you know, some sort of illness midlife crisis has to take something that it becomes so discomfort that it forces them to change. But the idea is how can you always be optimized tuning So you don't need a fucking catastrophe or a midlife crisis or some disease or some breakdown of your lives to make a change?
00;40;25;25 - 00;40;54;05
Unknown
How can you kind of, you know, do some proactive maintenance on? One of the things that I appreciate about Copeland you mentioned, Copeland, is that getting comfortable being uncomfortable and then all the benefits that come from that. Obviously, there's a tremendous amount of benefits that come from from doing the gall bladder and more and more evidence credit. And people like David Sinclair and Andrew Haberman who are out there educating the public, open that information out there for all of us to benefit from and get better.
00;40;54;08 - 00;41;18;12
Unknown
But that getting comfortable being uncomfortable and and one of the coaches in my life, Bill Bacharach, talked about if comfort is your goal and success is not in your future, one, I think too what it's like and it's what's really comfort, right, is it's like comfort for a little while, like take a rest. But it's like the idea of, you know, to grow and you got to use this stuff, right?
00;41;18;12 - 00;41;44;12
Unknown
And it's like, I don't think people really want comfort. At least I don't. I mean, yes, you like to have great experiences and joy and and but the idea is it's like life's about expansion and growth wasn't necessarily comfortable, especially being cross, you know, like one my biggest things, you know, I just finished my book and one of the big things, the sign of the butterfly, but the butterfly is such a metamorphosis, the transformation the butterfly needs to go through.
00;41;44;14 - 00;42;02;22
Unknown
The change is so challenging, right? When you come out of it, something totally different. And I think, you know, a lot of like why people set big goals and goals is it's out. It's only like, Hey, I'm going to get that goal, but it's who do I need to become in order to achieve that? And that's really what it's about.
00;42;02;22 - 00;42;24;18
Unknown
Like, you know, people there's all the talk and all the books is that it's not necessarily the the goal of getting rid of grab is temporary, right? But it's all the things along the path of a goal that that's your life, you know, you become who you become in the process. Because, you know, I was graduated from YPO in the wild.
00;42;24;21 - 00;42;46;17
Unknown
Congratulations you were a great friend of mine, had a speech a little bit and talked about like, you know, basically there's a poem, it's called The Dash, but it's like your life is like I was born this day. The dash between I you know, your dash is the mark. You laughed along the path. You know, it's like, why didn't you need me convoyed you?
00;42;46;18 - 00;43;16;02
Unknown
Chino Yeah. Then how did you optimize? Right? I think that's more like, you know, optimization is a big thing right now and you're doing financial optimization. People are doing health optimization, but everyone wants to have this life that's in alignment and that, you know, you want to make it easier on yourself. And it's not like making it easier because you start at challenges along the way but you want to give yourself every opportunity to navigate through them successfully.
00;43;16;05 - 00;43;47;17
Unknown
And I think when you had a line that you have all your tools working for you, I think that's like the biggest key one. You're a great entrepreneur or athlete or achiever. You know, you found a way to harness your resources so that when working in alignment to you, achieving your goals. Yeah, I said when you when you think about on your deathbed, you look through your entire life, you know, so I'm just turning 53 and let's say hope I make it into my nineties or whatever with great health and feeling good.
00;43;47;17 - 00;44;12;15
Unknown
Up until that moment that I go and meet my maker, I would think that laugh when I reflect back on my life and my body of work. It's not just going to be the successes, it's going to be who I became through all the challenges because I too, I think when I think about right now, a lot of, you know, the the the struggle and the different things that over time that kind of make you who you are today.
00;44;12;19 - 00;44;32;22
Unknown
And you ever think about that? You ever think about, you know that that journey and and what you would think about on your deathbed. You know I think a lot about you know, it's like in Westeros I wrote a book is to share sort of like the wisdom that I have accumulated. All of my kids will get that one day and also with a lot of other people.
00;44;32;25 - 00;44;59;02
Unknown
But know when I think, you know, when I look back, when I sitting here visualizing, looking back with a lot of it's about the experiences, you know, that's about experience and these amazing experiences that are like magical and special. I mean, that's really the joy letter better than you can imagine of people you care about and love and having these things that are, you know, just beyond that, we and then having that become the norm.
00;44;59;04 - 00;45;09;02
Unknown
So I think looking back on it, it's like, you know, living a magical life with great meaning.
00;45;09;05 - 00;45;31;07
Unknown
And I think, you know, a lot of it is like, like, like, how can you impact people? How can you help them? You know, what's the impact? You can only how you can help people. Noticing that I wasn't easy. And I think that's how you do this. If you really think how, can I help you figure it out a little easier like all this, maybe you take 10% and that's going to help you.
00;45;31;07 - 00;45;50;04
Unknown
But if you take all of that can really help you. So it's like, how do you find over, you know, like take take their wisdom that you put together and share with other people in a way that makes a positive influence in their lives and then that snowballs. And I think, you know, there's so many things you don't even realize it You had so lets people just by being the word connecting with people.
00;45;50;07 - 00;46;03;27
Unknown
But I think when you get really intentional, like you and I are talking like I'm a big one here, you got a T, you teach what you want to learn most. Like I got great yoga. I mean, nothing like yoga, like teaching yoga. When I was in law school, I'd find the smartest people and get get their outline of mastery.
00;46;03;27 - 00;46;31;27
Unknown
Is not only learning that, but teaching it. You know, I think that's really when you can really own something is not only can you do it and share, but you can teach others to do it and get there. And I think that's like hopefully what we're people can get out of This is like being there's different ways that they can learn to get flows, that there's different ways that they can learn to be richer, there's different ways they can make better investments and have their finances working for them and being in flow state.
00;46;31;29 - 00;46;59;07
Unknown
And I think that our, you know, hopefully we're able to impart some of that. People are listening. I appreciate that very much. If there was there was one word, as you reflect back over your life so far, that really embodies embodies what you've done so far to this day, what would that what would that word be? So I don't know, but I'd say the word that I would be grateful if I think of a word.
00;46;59;07 - 00;47;28;26
Unknown
That is sort of why that Huey Energy behind my life is is grateful. But I think, you know, it soiled. I mean, I'm a manifester. I'm a connector. You know, I love to I love to share what I love with people that I love. And I like to help people and, you know, share of share light. You know, I feel like my rabbi has a great story about a candle.
00;47;28;29 - 00;47;46;08
Unknown
And the beautiful thing about a candle is a candle, the flame. You light one candle and that that flame can light a thousand other candles and it doesn't diminish the sunlight. So it's like, how can you share your light and light up a thousand other things? Look, you know, a lot of analogy, I have ingredients like, you know, I'm always looking to see like, how can I connect?
00;47;46;08 - 00;48;01;07
Unknown
People are like, I know what you want. So I could, but it's like, you know, when you're connecting people, sometimes you only help the two people you connect, you light up the whole grid. So I like these lights in our house all through the yard. And we hook up the last two and all of a thousand lights hook up right?
00;48;01;10 - 00;48;23;18
Unknown
So it's like, how do you wind up the grid? And sometimes you don't know that one of these little connections lights up, not only these people, but lights up like well beyond what you can even think possible. So I think, you know, when I look back on my life, I hope that I'd help light people up. I mean, and left a positive influence that their lights are shining brighter.
00;48;23;18 - 00;48;52;25
Unknown
Having met me, they added light to their life. Well, I mean, I've definitely felt that way from the moment that I met you, and that's a beautiful way of describing it. The candle story is one. If I'm not sure that I really like that, that's really an example of abundance. You know, thinking about the leverage of scarcity, it's not a finite and you can really share the light and still the original light candle light shines as brightly as that previously, you know, not diminished.
00;48;52;27 - 00;49;14;03
Unknown
Well, I think, too, that we're talking about finances. And that's you know, I think this is one of the most important things for people to think about. I think, you know, sort of your viewpoint or thought of, you know, most people is is it an abundant universe or is it a scarce universe? And if you believe there's abundant and there's more than enough, you're going to behave one way.
00;49;14;09 - 00;49;29;26
Unknown
Do these think that there's not enough in the world for me to win is by taking some from me or I got a hole. I'm the one I have. So I think the first thing is for me, it's getting in alignment that within the wonder years and there's more than enough for everyone. And then from that mentality, anything's possible.
00;49;29;26 - 00;49;46;24
Unknown
And that in order for me to win, like I'm a big believer of like, you know, it's that there's different levels to play the game. But I think when you get up and it's like when, when, when I went in, when everyone wins, universe wins, people you don't even know, ones that are customers. When people are right, friends wins the millennium.
00;49;46;27 - 00;50;04;13
Unknown
So how do you create a how do you create a frequency who works when in the moment versus a lot of people think, in order for me to win, you got to lose or someone knows. So I think that's a big thing when you start thinking about finances is like, how do you how do you think about abundance and how do you think about the universe you read it in?
00;50;04;13 - 00;50;27;01
Unknown
Is there a more than enough or is it, you know, you've got to hold on to your crops or you have you've got to guard it? And I think that, you know, it's like one of the biggest things of like how my life is going to be is everything going to be flooded in abundant?
