ABOUT THIS EPISODE
**THIS EPISODE CONTAINS FULL SPOILERS**
This week on Film is Lit, we are heading to 1950s Mexico City to discuss William S. Burroughs' Queer and Luca Guadagnino's adaptation starring Daniel Craig. Is Queer a faithful adaptation? Does the book's surreal ending actually work? And perhaps most importantly... how awesome were those Nirvana needle drops, huh?!
We talk about Daniel Craig's wildly vulnerable performance, the challenges of adapting one of Burroughs' most personal novels, Guadagnino's divisive creative choices, and why Queer might be one of those movies that gets better - or at least more interesting - the more you sit with it.
Plus: drugs, deep longing, Jason Schwartzman in a fat suit, and more needle drops. You won't want to miss this!
