ABOUT THIS EPISODE
How do you actually flirt with someone without suddenly forgetting how to behave like a normal human being? 😂
In this episode of Faithfully Single — Not Settling, Rebecca brings out a book about flirting—and quickly realizes she may have been making this whole thing way more complicated than it needs to be.
We tend to think flirting requires the perfect line, an unmistakable signal, or some magical moment where sparks start flying.
But what if flirting is really just about making a connection and showing someone you're interested?
That sounds simple enough… until we start reading the supposed signs of attraction.
Fixing his hair. The eyebrow flash. Playing with your hair. Dangling your shoe. Exposing your wrist?!
And apparently we're supposed to touch his elbow. 😂
Some of these “flirting signals” sound suspiciously similar to things we do when we're just nervous—which raises another question: Are we already flirting without realizing we're doing it?
Maybe talking to someone you're attracted to doesn't need to carry so much pressure. You don't need every word to be perfect or some giant neon sign announcing “I LIKE YOU.”
Sometimes simply starting a conversation, smiling, showing interest, and giving someone an opportunity to connect might be enough.
And maybe we're all a little better at flirting than we think.
Tell us: What's your go-to way of letting someone know you're interested? Because clearly we could use the help. 😂❤️
