ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In episode 205 of the EYE ON SCI-FI podcast, host Rod Faulkner discusses the indie animated short film 'FLITE', directed and written by Oscar-winner Tim Webber, known for his visual effects work on films like Gravity and The Dark Knight.
'FLITE' sets a new standard in CGI hyper-realism using the Unreal Engine. It's set in a futuristic, semi-submerged London, following Stevie, the world hoverboard champion, as she attempts a daring escape from her confined life, leading to an adrenaline-pumping chase scene. The film's realism, particularly in its first-person perspective, is praised as indicative of the exciting future of filmmaking with advanced CGI.
