ABOUT THIS EPISODE
We’re watching Star Trek: Enterprise Season 3, Episode 7 “The Shipment,” but only Maria has actually watched the episode. Tipped off by last week's Beast-incel, the Enterprise heads to a planet where they believe the Xindi are manufacturing parts of their superweapon only to find a weirdly chill Bigfoot Xindi planet where nobody is aware there's a war on. Also, Trip and Phlox mess with a Xindi weapon to see how it works and it goes exactly as poorly you'd expect. Plus, Guest Raychelle Burks joins us to marvel at the weird science the many safety and security protocols that everyone ignores in this episode.
Rikermendations:- Raychelle: Buffalo Hunter Hunter - Steven Graham Jones (book)
- The Ballad of Black Tom - Victor LaValle (book)
- Bill: The Martians: The True Story of an Alien Craze that Captured Turn-of-the-Century America - David Baron (book)
- Jamie: Given (Anime)
- Maria: Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping + Mitchell and Webb Talk About Some Sketches in a Pretend Room (YouTube series)
