Yeah, so uh I grew up um in Nigeria.

My parents were missionaries, I was born there, grew up there until I was 18.

And my mom and dad were really uh devout, godly lovers of Jesus.

And um, you know, I have a a brother who's buried there.

Uh, you know, they they really gave their lives for the gospel to be to be made known to the Nigerian peoples.

And they were in northern Nigeria, um, which it was very uh sort of uh Islamic area, and uh and God just used them really powerfully.

So growing up in that environment, um, I grew up with a deep desire to walk with Jesus, but because they sent me to boarding school, there were areas of my heart that were really um just messed up with abandonment, rejection, unworthiness, shame, fear, control, rebellion, all that kind of stuff that happens.

Uh, that really, by the time I became a teenager, uh, I made some really poor choices at boarding school in England and went sort of far away from uh the type of life that my parents would want me to live.

And um, but deep down on the inside, I knew Jesus.

I mean, I can say that I invited him into my heart probably when I was about three years old, and then reaffirmed that when I was 14, but at the same time, I was really just walking away from him as well, kind of like living that um that kind of double life.

But when I was 20 years old, um I'd had a dream uh that I was in the dream, we were taking off in an aeroplane um in Nigeria at the airport that I would travel back to England through.

And as the plane took off, uh it just began to go back down and suddenly it hit the ground, and everything went like white light and turned to white ash in a split second.

And I was with my parents and my brothers in the dream, and they all were incinerated, we were all incinerated, and I I was screaming like screaming, screaming in the dream, and and couldn't see anyone, couldn't see myself, but I felt like me.

It was like I was had no body, but I could feel exactly where my body was.

And I was so like so terrified and in so much agony, and then suddenly I woke up, and I'm like reaching for my cigarettes, you know, running outside to have a quick cigarette.

Um, and uh and but it shook me to the core of my being.

I wasn't walking with the Lord at the time, and just a very short time later, um I went to America on a planned trip, and while I was in America, uh the host family that that invited me, they took me uh to Colorado.

And I was uh at um Esther's Park in Colorado, and it was a Christian camp, and the gl and one night they persuaded me to go to this meeting, and the preacher preached the gospel, and and I was under tremendous conviction, and with this dream and everything, I was really shaken.

And uh he invited us to go forward, and instead I ran out the side door, and I just went stumbling up this mountain path.

I don't even know where I was going or what I was doing.

I just was so kind of um under the weight and the burden of my sin and my need for for a radical change and my need to get very serious with Jesus when suddenly I can only describe that I walk I felt like I walked into the presence of Jesus.

I walked, I couldn't see him, but I walked into this space where his presence was so real, and I just hit the ground on the pathway and just started weeping, asking his forgiveness for all of my sin and for all of my rebellion, and which was you know, I haven't gone into detail, but it was very deep, and um, and and I heard his voice saying to me, Duncan, I forgive you and I love you, and I have an amazing plan for your life, but you can't just have one foot in, one foot out anymore.

You either follow me for the rest of your life, or you go your ways, and I just wet my way into inviting Jesus into my heart to be my Lord and Savior, and I felt his presence go from the outside literally into me, and I knew that my spirit man was instantly united with Christ because suddenly this tremendous, indescribable joy exploded in my heart, and I've been very rebellious, very you know, kind of slightly sullen and type of person to being completely transformed into just the most joyful person, and and the Lord just you know, he began to start to speak to me about his calling on my life and and uh that he had amazing plans for my life.

And so when I got up off that floor, I got up a completely changed man, so much so that my host family, which included my girlfriend at the time, they didn't recognize me.

And then and then I went back to England shortly later, and no one in my family recognized me.

Sure, please I'm curious about when you um when you heard God speak when you were there, because I I mean I I had a very similar uh conversion experience really bad in encountering God like that and hearing his voice.

I mean, when I got to university, I've I bumped into in the very first week, I bumped into some um people that were from the Christian Union, and uh they invited me to join the Christian Union, and I I could see in just chatting with them that they were even more on fire than I was, and I was like, and growing up in an evangelical background, I'd never see, you know, I never saw anybody on fire.

I'd be like, And just to round this bit up, just finally in one Sunday, it was a Ugandan speaking at our church, a pastor, and he was just so full of the Holy Spirit, and he's speaking about the Holy Spirit.

And uh I said, I would love to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and he just said, Of course, and he put his hand on me, and suddenly, Ben and Jody and Kate, this just this huge rush, this well rose up on the inside of me, and I just started speaking, and this this the me shikando soto and I couldn't switch it off, and he moved on to the next person, and I just I kept speaking tongues all the way out, got onto my huge sports bike, motorcycle that I had at the time, your 160-mile-an-hour sports bike, and I was like, I love it, and you haven't changed since.

And and the Lord showed me one day, I was asking him about it, and he showed me he did not create hell for human beings, he created hell to judge sin and the source of sin, Satan himself and all the fallen angels, and the beast and all the you know, and so on, and and to contain that sin for eternity in an everlasting fire, so that sin never, ever, ever could become something that could ruin heaven forever.

And so, you know, he's actually created a place to shut and lock sin up eternally, and the Lord showed me that if a human being chooses not to accept their Savior Jesus, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that he honors that choice, and if a person said no to him for a lifetime, he'll never force eternity on them.
