ABOUT THIS EPISODE
The business is coming. The book is coming. The launch is coming. You've got the vision board, the playlist, and the announcement drafted. So why does nothing ever actually arrive?
If you've been fluent in intention and quiet on execution, this episode is for you. Because research suggests announcing your goals can make you less likely to achieve them. Your brain gets rewarded for the announcement like it was the accomplishment.
In this episode of Empower On Purpose, Jaresha Moore closes the gap between your mouth and your movement.
In this episode, we talk about:
- The research on why talking about goals feels like progress and stops it
- The performance of preparation: courses, planners, and vision boards as entertainment
- Why motivation is not required and action creates it, not the other way around
- Implementation intentions: the simple when and where practice that multiplies follow through
- Moving in silence as protection, not paranoia
- The 48 hour rule and the announcement fast
This is a conversation about execution, discipline, goal setting, and personal growth for anyone whose dream exists everywhere except reality.
