ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Welcome to Elected Women Across America, a podcast featuring elected women with common goals to exchange legislative ideas and reach across the aisle. Hosted by the National Foundation for Women Legislators, this podcast provides a direct line to the leaders that the organization empowers.
In this episode, we’re live from our Healthcare Summit, hosted in Chicago, with North Carolina Representative Maria Cervania. Representative Cervania shares the political influences that led her to run for office and how her background in epidemiology has informed her policymaking. Check out Representative Cervania’s inspiring woman: Corazon Aquino and let us know the women in politics and history that inspire you
This episode also features a sponsor spotlight with Jen Rozen, vice president of state affairs for the Alzheimer’s Association, who stepped into our Healthcare Summit podcast studio to share with us how state-level initiatives, such as partnering with state public health departments and establishing dementia care specialist programs, are improving access to Alzheimer treatments.
Check out our healthcare policy resources from the summit on the front page of our website at www.womenlegislators.org and reach out if you have something you'd like to add to our healthcare conversations. If you're feeling like you missed out, take a minute to check your schedule for November 10th-13th, and attend our Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia!
We'll bring you new stories from elected women each episode with host Brenna Kehew Sculley. Are you interested in sharing your story with us here at NFWL? Sign up today to record your podcast, share your passion and get engaged in 2024 at podcast@womenlegislators.org.
