ABOUT THIS EPISODE
⚠️ Content Warning: This episode contains descriptions of ghostly apparitions, historical tragedies involving death by fire and plague, and accounts of faceless figures. Listener discretion is advised.
Britain is an old country. Roman walls, medieval dungeons, Victorian railways — layer upon layer of history stacked like sediment.
And where there is history, there are ghosts.
Tonight Bubah is joined by his brother Willie — a paranormal investigator from the Fort Worth area — for a different kind of episode. Three classic British encounters, told in full, alongside Will's firsthand insight into what it's really like to go looking for the things most people run from. And somewhere in between, the brothers share some stories of their own.
A train station in East London where a faceless woman in white has been standing on the platform since 1958. Staff have seen her for decades. No one knows her name. She died in the crash without one.
A busy London hub where the sound of children crying has been heard late at night — long after the last trains have run, in a station built over a cholera burial ground that no one told anyone about.
And beneath the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, in a close that was sealed during the plague and forgotten for centuries — a little girl named Annie, still reaching out. Still waiting. Still hoping someone will hold her hand.
Three encounters. Two brothers. One question that runs through all of it — why do some people never get to leave?
