ABOUT THIS EPISODE

To mark the publication of the new edition of ‘People Funny Boy: The Genius of Lee “Scratch” Perry’ I link with Lee Perry biographer David Katz and we discuss all things Scratch. David gives us his unique insight into the inimitable creative and spiritual world of Scratch pre, during and post Black Ark. David also recalls how he caught the reggae bug, gives us the inside track on his early years as a journalist and author and reveals how he became Scratch’s biographer. The new edition of People, which has been extensively rewritten, comes with a raft of new material, interviews and full colour photos to boot. Available in hardcover and trade paperback. Check it out!
