ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Van Helsing and Mina make their final, grueling trek through the frozen Carpathian Mountains toward Castle Dracula. The holy protection is failing; the unholy curse has advanced so far that Mina can no longer cross a circle of crushed communion wafers. Leaving her protected inside the sacred boundary, Van Helsing invades the ancient fortress alone, discovering the final resting places of Dracula's three vampire brides.
In a sequence mirroring the horror of Lucy's crypt, Van Helsing drives stakes through the hearts of the beautiful, terrifying women, reducing them to dust and cleansing the castle of its lingering evil.
But outside, the final sunset is fast approaching. A band of armed Szgany Romani protectors is rushing a massive carriage toward the castle courtyard, carrying Dracula's final box of earth. Jonathan, Quincey, Arthur, and Seward are closing in from all sides on horseback, setting the stage for a brutal, blood-soaked race against the fading light.
