ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Welcome to Episode Sixty-Five of Do You Dare?
This week we are covering a confounding case of a woman convicted of a crime that not only was she innocent of but that was never a crime in the first place.
(Trigger warnings: Child Death)
In this episode Em, with recurring guest Lauren, takes on the case of Patty Stallings, a mother accused and convicted of the horrific crime of murdering her own baby…. Except she didn’t.
Following along as we uncover the truly unfortunate series of events that left police, prosecutors and a jury convinced of Patty’s guilt and the tireless battle Patty and her supporters fought to undo a horrible injustice.
From preconceptions and mistaken science to a wrongful conviction and a popular TV show to the rescue - this case answers the hard reality of ‘How do you prove Innocence when there was no actual crime committed?’
Thanks to everyone who has joined us for this week's case and we hope to see you back next episode when Em looks into the darker side of what most see as a fun day out…..
