Lee Glass: Yeah, man. Let's go. Let's get this started.
Lincoln: Yep. Let's do it. So Monday night game, you have my Eagles and yeah, the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys coming to town. and you know I I I'll I'll I I always will pick the Eagles, you know, especially in the NFC East. And and I and I really did I really did, you know, have hope for the Eagles.
Lee Glass: Thanks. You you didn't pick you didn't you didn't you didn't pick the Eagles. You didn't pick the Eagles.
Lincoln: I I I know but I I but I but I I I I I really I really have hope. I always have hope for the Eagles.
Lee Glass: You still had old?
Lincoln: Still had hope, man. I still had hope for the Eagles
Lee Glass: All right. Okay.
Lincoln: in this game. Because it it it it when you when you when you think about it I was like, you know what, we could we we could we we it don't matter how injured we are. This this NFC East, this rivals, it always their tendencies, they know your tendencies. And in the first half, I might say, and I'll and I'm gonna say this right now, Nick Sirianni was not calling the plays in the first half. Nick Sirianni and and and actually I would say for the entire game, but Nick Sirianni was nowhere near that offense. I think and and this is my this is my scenario, I think that these previous games, Nick Sirianni was muddling too much in the offense. From what I saw last night, you had motion, you had under center, you had crossing routes, you had patterns over the middle. You ha man when I was looking at it, I was like, This is not Nick Sirianni offense. I said, Finally, Sean Mannion is calling the offense. And you know, now granted, we we were going up against a porous Dallas Cowboys defense, right? So they'll make anybody look good. They'll they'll they'll make anybody look good. But Just in the movement alone and what I saw, I knew this was not Nick Siriani's offense. So I I was I was happy about the offense in the first half and what that looked like. because I said if we could muster up and try to get some other people healthy, I know Saquon was out there trying to do his all hamstring. He shouldn't have shouldn't have been back. He you know, he he hurt himself even more now. He got a back injury. He he he sh he shouldn't have been out there, but he this dude is a I I like him as a teammate, man. This is one of these guys that they they are gonna go all out no matter what what it is. But the bottom line at the end of this game, it was the offense that was that was that was stumbling and the defense trying to keep us in the game. But the defense did not show up at all. Jalen Carter's name was not called not one time in this game. Jordan Davis' name was not called one time in this game. And then I saw these guys were getting bullied. They were literally getting bullied by the Dallas Cowboys. And I was like, what in the and I watched a couple snaps back. And if you go back and you watch the snaps, Jalen Carter was not engaging at all. He would run into the block, hold on to the shoulders, and just stay there. It was it he wasn't no effort. There was no effort at all. And it was truly, truly disappointing. Cause that defense didn't show up. Cooper Dejean, I I I I I know Cooper Dejean is dating a a a Dallas Cowboy chairleader. i and and and and and
Lee Glass: No.
Lincoln: and and that is blasphemy by itself. And
Lee Glass: No.
Lincoln: and no wonder Cooper Dejean has not looked good in the last year. Coupa de Jean, I I I you know, I think you know, my s my thing is I think he kind of bulked up too much thinking of thinking about, you know, bulking up and he got slower, man. He he got slower. I think he needs to slim back down, be on neutral, but he is getting cooked, and he was getting cooked. Reek Woolen getting cooked. These guys didn't want the only person on defense that was playing was Quinyan Mitchell. That's it. Everybody else on the defense was not playing at all. I didn't they didn't come to they didn't come to play. And how could you not show up in a division game? It was disappointing all the way around. I I liked the first half you know, from the offense. the defense didn't show me anything at all. Special teams didn't show me anything at all. and so yeah, I I I don't have any hope for the rest of the season. I'm gonna watch the games obviously. and you know just be there. But as far as, you know, the season is concerned, the Cowboys, congratulations on the on the win. But, you know, one Cowboy fan said, you know, while they are happy right now, you know, they beat the Eagles, knowing them they'll lose next week to the Arizona Cardinals. and so I I could definitely see that happening. But anyway, you know, th that's how it is. Eagles just didn't didn't on defense. These guys are way too overpaid. You you getting paid too much money to not show up like that. That that was just a a poor, poor effort.
Lee Glass: I have a question for you, Lynx. you I think you got some inside information here that you you're not sharing with with the audience. yeah, because you mentioned a whole bunch of names about people who are doing stuff, and
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: there's a name that I've never heard before
Lincoln: Mm.
Lee Glass: that you picked up on fantasy that you ain't mentioned, right? And I want to know, and I
Lincoln: Who were between?
Lee Glass: I was like, why why why did you even pick this guy up, Jelix Hunt?
Lincoln: Jaylixup? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: Right? So so so so who is this? Right? Why was he why was he worth a pickup?
Lincoln: Mm.
Lee Glass: And I mean you gotta give me some details on on who this play is.
Lincoln: yeah, yeah, yeah. Jalex Hunt, man. Jalex Hunt, this is his second year defensive end, for the Eagles. He he last week he well the week before, he had twisted his ankle and he was out. And and that was another thing. This guy, I think he's one of the key factors for the DN group for for the Eagles. He has a motor. He reminds me of Who who is your guy who y'all traded, for Miles Garrett? What was
Lee Glass: Jared verse.
Lincoln: he reminds me of Jared Verse, but as a DN. And and he has let me tell you, this dude has a motor. And he had not played the la this he had not played this game. And I could tell. I could tell there was every game this dude is bringing pressure. He's bringing pressure every game. And in fantasy when I saw him out there, man, I was like, shoot, I gotta grab my boy Jalen Son because he's gonna be coming
Lee Glass: Mm-hmm.
Lincoln: back. And and he is somebody who he gives a hundred percent effort on every single snap and every play. And that's the kind of player who you you you you gotta you you you g what's his name? J Jalen Carter.
Lee Glass: Cara. Mm-hmm.
Lincoln: Disappointment, man. He plays when he wants to play. He plays when he wants to play, and that's the wrong mentality.
Lee Glass: I isn't isn't he playing hurt though?
Lincoln: He's not hurt. He's not hurt. He got a little he got a
Lee Glass: He's a he's not art? Okay.
Lincoln: little they say he was on the thing for a wrist. I don't care nothing about no wrist.
Lee Glass: Mm. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lincoln: If you got something bigger than that, talk to me. But but a wrist? Come on, man. No,
Lee Glass: Yeah.
Lincoln: man. You're getting paid too much money. Getting paid everybody hurt right now. Everybody hurt. Everybody.
Lee Glass: Everybody hurt, yeah.
Lincoln: Everybody who's playing they hurt. They got some kind of hurt. so but yeah, Jalex Hunt, man, he's a he's he's a he's he's a up and coming dude who I I think he gonna make a make a big difference.
Lee Glass: Yeah. I I I wouldn't I wouldn't compare him to to Jared Verse though. That that that ain't something I would I would I would do right now. I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't do that. Jared Verse, right? we
Lincoln: Telling you man, I'm telling you. Okay, okay. Yeah.
Lee Glass: g you know, so out of him and in and and Miles Gadd right now, right? Who
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: who for the two thousand twenty six season, who who has the most sacks?
Lincoln: Super Miles Gat only played one game. So what so what you saying?
Lee Glass: They tied. They tied with zero. Both of them tied with zero sacks.
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: What week is this?
Lincoln: It's week seven. This was week seven. Yeah, yeah. Not yet. Wow. What's going on?
Lee Glass: This week seven, Jared Versus ain't he ain't logged a sack yet. Not yet. He has zero sacks, zero force fumbles. He has a a a total of ten tackles.
Lincoln: What's going on? Is he unmotivated 'cause he in Cleveland?
Lee Glass: I told you I told y'all he only had one move.
Lincoln: He gotta work on that. You gotta that's what he gotta work on. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: He's he he's a bull rusher, right? And when he was with the Rams, he had a good complementary off defensive line with him.
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: Kobe Turner, right? Braden Fisk, Byron Young, like those guys, they was opening it up for him. He he don't have nothing like that in Cleveland.
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's true. That's true. Mm.
Lee Glass: Right. Jared Burst never had he never had to he never experienced double teams with the Rams. He never got double teamed. So yeah. Now he he's
Lincoln: Gotcha. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This is a new this is a new ball game. This is a new ball game.
Lee Glass: the guy now. He's the he's the the best player on that line and if the deep if the offense is gonna key in on him, they just take him out, take him out the game. Yeah.
Lincoln: That's it. Take him out. Yeah. It's a it's a hey look, and and you see why someone like Aaron Donald got tired of the double teams, you know, and triple teams, right, right.
Lee Glass: And the triple teams, and the triple teams. Yep.
Lincoln: Because i i i it it's it's it's tough sledding, man, when all these dudes up on you like that. It's it's tough.
Lee Glass: Mm-hmm.
Lincoln: It's tough to get through that. So and if you don't have a move, if you don't have moves, if you don't have techniques and moves and yeah, it's that that's tough. That's tough. Yeah. Yeah. So wow. I yeah. Well anyway, I'd say I'd say before you go, I'd say
Lee Glass: Yeah, but but yeah.
Lincoln: Jalex Hunt when he was Jalex Hunt is is is is would could be him when he was with the Rams and had complimentary people around him. Yeah, I'd say. Yeah.
Lee Glass: I see. All right, all right, all right. But no man, I it looked like y'all was in that game for three and a half, three quarters, three and a half quarters.
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: McKee. Yeah, he he was doing his thing. He was doing his
Lincoln: Mm.
Lee Glass: thing. He he didn't stink up the joint, right? Yeah, he had one one turnover, but you when you got a quarterback like that coming in backup, you know he's a backup, you gotta help him out.
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: You gotta help him out. And that Dallas defense was trying to help you all out as much as they could. They was they was really trying to help you all out. Cause that that
Lincoln: As much as they could, man. Shhh, goodness.
Lee Glass: defense bad now they did have that key turnover, key interception late in the game, but
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: but for the most part, for as talented as that defense is, it's still it's still a bad luck. Even with the win, it's
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: a bad look to have an Eagles offense where Saquon Barkley is hopping on one leg. No Devontae Smith. Right? Goddard isn't is moving at half speed.
Lincoln: Yep.
Lee Glass: Offensive line is decimated. No, no, no Jalen Hunt. Right? Got a backup quarterback in there.
Lincoln: No. Yep.
Lee Glass: And and y'all still, offensively, y'all was still in it.
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that I Dallas Dallas defense is not good at all. Not good.
Lee Glass: I I I the the coaching isn't good. Yeah. Yeah.
Lincoln: Yeah. So I this this what I wanna this what I w I this what I wanna figure out. how how from from year to year? I know different defensive coaches bring in their schemes, right? and you know, they make these calls on the field and whatnot, you know. And I know I've you know the linebackers could audible out of calls. It it's rarely happen it rarely happens on the defensive side, but they could they audible a lot out of calls that the that the defensive coordinator calls in. But what what how do how how how does it get how does it go so bad y y with the coaching? I mean 'cause if you if if you if you played and you played in the league you shouldn't forget how to tackle. I mean you shouldn't forget how to you know, some of the techniques and stuff that that that that you do to to get you here. That should be consistent. I know the schemes and stuff are different, but I mean it seems like some players just regress. Like like they just like one year you you're doing this and then the next year is like like you can't you can't tackle anymore. You can't you can't you you you you the the angles you taken are are w what what happens? I I I don't I just don't get that.
Lee Glass: Yeah, I I think a lot goes into that. You you're talking about it from f just f strictly from the player perspective, not from the scheme or the coaching, right?
Lincoln: Right, right, from the player perspective, yeah.
Lee Glass: Yeah, you you got look, you got when when I listened to to Aaron Donald when he was talking about when he decided to retire, right? And he said, you know, basically, his tank was full. He you know, he he's he's had enough,
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: he was complete. And then the one thing that really kind of piqued my interest is when he said look when he took into account what he needed to do to prepare for the next season, whether or not he was willing to to to go through that or not. And he decided it just at that point, no. Right. And
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: and what that meant for him, Aaron Donald, and this is why he was Aaron Donald, was
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: at the end of the season, he takes a two-week break.
Lincoln: Well.
Lee Glass: Two week break. After the two weeks, he's
Lincoln: Two weeks.
Lee Glass: back and and on the grind. And and we've seen his regimen. We've seen how we see how he works out, how
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: he, you know, he he treats his body, the things, the the discipline that he puts into his preparation. It doesn't start at training camp. It starts
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: two weeks after the season ends. And then that carries into training camp, right? And then into the preseason and then to the season. A lot of these players Right? They come in and they're naturally talented, naturally gifted. And that's gonna carry you through the first couple of seasons, season one, season two,
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: because you're young, your your body is quick to recover, and
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: there's a gnat. But
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: your your body is i is quick to recover and and so you're able to, you know, kind of get back into the groove you know, a l a lot easier. But as you get
Lincoln: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: older, And it doesn't take you take take take them that long for for age to really start hitting them, maybe year three, year four. It's
Lincoln: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Lee Glass: a tad bit slower. things take a little bit longer to recover. And then you need to know where you're lacking in that ability, even if it's just ever so slightly, you're supposed to be increasing in your your mental reps, your your mental capacity, the things that you're supposed to be doing. from a mental
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: perspective to ov to compensate for that that that knock on your agility. I can't
Lincoln: Right, right.
Lee Glass: get there a ha a fraction of a second fat as fast as I used to, but
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: conceptually I know I'm supposed to be there, so I'm already there and I'm at the spot. But if
Lincoln: Yeah. Right, right. Yeah.
Lee Glass: they're not doing those mental reps, if they're not preparing, if they're not in and doing the things in the off season to get their body to the way it needs to be, then You're gonna have that drop off for some of these players. So
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: I don't know what Cooper does. You said he he put on some weight, he bulked up, right?
Lincoln: Yeah, he be yeah, he got bolted up. Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: Look, that may not, that might not have been the right thing to do, right? Bulking
Lincoln: Yeah, I think so.
Lee Glass: up, I could see if he was a strong safety, in the box safety, always supporting the run, that would make sense. But if you a cover guy, right, you don't really need to bulk up per se.
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: You need to do, you need you need to continue to work on your flexibility, your agility to make sure that you can, cover as much of the field as you possibly can from sideline to sideline and definitely, going back so that
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: you can continue to be as efficient as you as you can be. But I don't know, man, these guys, I think a lot of them just really rest on their laurels during the off season. And they
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: don't really get into training mode. Until it's time to come into training camp. And then you got some of those guys, they sit out. Right? They sit out. And
Lincoln: Yeah, do you say that yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: maybe some of them, they, they, they just half step their way through training camp. They don't really take it seriously. You don't know. you see the guys
Lincoln: I think.
Lee Glass: where it's like night and day. Last year you was this. This year, what happened? And it's is and it's not an injury. It's not
Lincoln: Mm-hmm. Right. what happened? Yeah, just fall off the pitch. Right.
Lee Glass: an injury. And and you you 26, 27 years old, like you should still
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: be in your prime.
Lincoln: Right, right. Yeah.
Lee Glass: Right. So yeah, I think I think there's a lot of contributing factors there. Case in point. Justin Herbert. Right.
Lincoln: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Lee Glass: Now, I feel I think don't we play them? We played him this week. So I don't want to talk bad and then jinx the Rams, right? But
Lincoln: Yeah, you all played it. Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: I I don't want to do that. But but I think it's important to to kind of highlight this. Justin Herbert, known for being everyone saying he's the prototypical quarterback, he just been catching bad breaks.
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: In comes Mike McDaniel with this new offense. Justin Herbert is having a really good personal you know, his personal life is really taking off, right? Gott Engage, you know, beautiful beautiful fiance, they're all over social media doing all this stuff, right? So you can see like he is outside of football, life is good.
Lincoln: He's doing his thing, yeah.
Lee Glass: He's doing his thing. When it came, I think, to the voluntary. workouts, he didn't show up. Or
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: he he missed a couple because he's doing his thing, right?
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: But the thing is, you got this new offensive coordinator. The offense is complex. You should probably be there. Right?
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah.
Lee Glass: You should probably be be that be there so that you can get in sync, get an understanding, be able to immerse yourself in whatever the lingo and and and the nuances of that offense. So that you can start as fast as you possibly can.
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: Obviously that didn't happen because even when the first preseason game started, you could see they were out of sync. They didn't look
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: right. And then that parlayed into into what we are into the first couple of games into the season. So when you have stuff like that that's going on where you're not putting in the time, not putting in the reps to get yourself as prepared as you can possibly be, like an Aaron Donald, that's what this that's what's gonna happen.
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's that it it's and that's true, you know, not everybody take it to that level, you know, of preparation and and and you can tell. You can really tell with some with some people it's just it's just seem like it's night and day, man. But yeah. anyway, let's let's Doc, welcome in man. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Thanks, man. Appreciate it. Appreciate it.
Lincoln: Yep. We we got we got something for you. We got something for you in a little bit.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Okay. Sounds good.
Lincoln: yeah, so let's let's talk about this Falcons 49ers, man. Forty Niners came in six and you know, I don't I don't I g I you know, I I I thought this was a foregone conclusion. This Atlanta. 49ers coming in here and they just gonna sweep this. They just gonna clean it up. Man. Defensive coordinator. We just mean Lee, we just finished talking about it.
Lee Glass: Raheem Morris, Raheem Morris. Hmm.
Lincoln: Smart. Yes, yes. He just come in. He coming back to Atlanta to his his old team. I'm thinking, Raheem know these players, he he he got this. this this this this is gonna be easy. Nope. Here come the Falcons. which Falcons are we gonna get? What which Falcons are we gonna get? I I really don't I really don't know. Look, we all know the Falcons have talented players. They have talented players on the offense and on defense. But they always underperform and they don't never show up. But I guess it takes somebody like the Forty Niners who's coming in six and in order for them to perform and for them to show up. So F Falcons did their thing and, you know, they took down the Forty Niners. And it was just I I don't know, it was one of those games. Michael Penix had a great game. I think he's he's he's
Lee Glass: Great game. Great game.
Lincoln: back you know, as as quarterback and so yeah, man, Falcons it it it was it was It was surprising and shocking for me to see that the Falcons actually won this game. So, hats off to Falcons fans. I but but it's still Helter Skelter man.
Lee Glass: we ain't used that word all season. but I think that was the phrase of 2025 for us. But no,
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: There's, there's
Lee Glass: Penix, man, like it it was really good to see him settle in. three touchdowns, no interceptions, a little bit over 250 yards passing. the attempts were, you know, t tapered around 30 to 33 attempts. Bijan Robinson was was contained. You can tell that. The Niners, they they sold out to stop the run.
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: And rightfully so, because Bijan, you don't want to let him loose. You don't want him to rack the game for you. And they did a
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: good job of that. And they were like, look, Penix, you're gonna have to, you're gonna have to win the game for them. And then you realize Penix got Drake London. And then you realize, Kyle Pitts, when he's ready, he can be
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: a top ten, maybe even a top five athletically from an athletic perspective, tight end.
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: And then you look at the weapons, and then of course they have the two time coach of the year on the sideline. Two time. Okay. So with
Lincoln: Two.
Lee Glass: all these factors in place, you're like, okay, they they should, they actually should be able to do something like this. And it's so strange where it's still surprising when they do it, especially against a team like the 49ers. Albeit the 49ers, like everybody else, riddled with injuries, and they're going through a whole bunch of stuff, but that hasn't stopped them to this date and don't want to use as an excuse. But
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: they were all they were in Brock Purdy's pocket all game. Brock Purdy was not comfortable.
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: And that's another thing that's a little bit underrated by by the Falcons is that defense. That defense is is is stout. That's a stout defense.
Lincoln: Defense, yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: So yeah, man, it it I think it's right now just the lack of consistency. they have the talent. They've been drafting pretty well over the past couple of seasons, and and it's not just talent, like they got guys at
Lincoln: yeah.
Lee Glass: key at key positions. They they just to you know they they don't it they don't do it week op week week in, week out. Right? This will be the team where they'll win this game against the Niners and then come back and lose against the Panthers. Not that the Panthers are bad, right?
Lincoln: Right. Right.
Lee Glass: But they'll lose
Donald "Doc" Glass: Dolphins.
Lee Glass: The right. They lose against a team where you're like they they're supposed to win that game.
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: Right? So let's see what they do next week. But it it was a good win. I was happy with the win. Really happy with the w I was shocked, but
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: it but all in all was good for Atlanta.
Donald "Doc" Glass: No, it it it's impressive to see that when Atlanta shows up to play, they have this in them, right? To your point, it'd be great to see it every week. And the fact that you don't see it every week or anything close to it every week is what ends up being frustrating, right? It's like there are teams that play up to level level of competition and then will play down to the level of competition, right?
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: but the fact that they were able to know, beat a well coached, talented team. Yeah, they've got injuries, but they ain't stopped them before. And to get get in to make Brock Purdy uncomfortable, he threw two interceptions, which is probably like double what he's thrown the whole season to date. Defense showed up, offense showed up, and knocked off a team most folks, myself included, did not expect them to knock off. So congratulations. is just now can they do it on a more consistent basis, you know, the the A the A to A plus game is amazing. Can they show up A minus, B plus most weeks don't have C and D plus games? So
Lincoln: Yeah. Yep. We'll see, man. We'll see. we'll see this next coming week. the other game, you know, we wanted to talk about real quick was the Seahawks and Chiefs from last week. And and man, let me tell you, the the the Kansas City Chiefs were rolling. They were again another undefeated team. and and it looked like they rolled back to their old s the to to to to the old looking Travis Kelsey. and and and you know Patrick Mahomes hey look I one thing I can say on the on the fumble where he got hit because he got hit from behind, he didn't see the guy coming from behind, and he got hit and the ball came out. He was going he actually got that ball, he recovered that ball back, and that was impressive. At least it wasn't like the Cam Newton, no, no, I'm not getting that ball. I'm not jumping on the ground, I'm not getting that. But and he's just coming off of injury also. And so I could give him a for effort on that, but the the their offense really didn't look good at all. Seattle's defense, you know, just pretty much shut them down, man. and does Kansas City have any receivers? I mean, they they don't have
Lee Glass: No. No.
Lincoln: anybody. so is it's not much you can do and I guess that finally caught up with them when you play in a team like the Seahawks with their defense and you know Kansas City just it it was inept on on the offensive side of the ball, so it i it was nothing much they could do. They need to get some receivers. I d I don't know why Andy Reid pick Andy invest in some receivers man. Get get some real receivers. Stop playing around with these guys. These guys on the on the on the on the on the on the same level as a as a as a Todd Pinkston and and and and some of them dudes back in the day on the Eagles. And Thrash. Thrash and Freddy and Freddie and Freddie Mitchell.
Lee Glass: Trash, trash.
Lincoln: That that's that's where fast Freddie. That's that's the
Donald "Doc" Glass: It would
Lincoln: equivalent right now.
Lee Glass: Well well well look, they they they have a first round wide receiver on the roster, right? They they tried to address it a couple of seasons ago Xavier Worthy. He was a first round pick, right? That that just that that hasn't panned out. Hasn't panned
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So we're gonna miss. Yeah.
Lee Glass: out. w I mean look, Seattle came in there with the motive to cancel out Kenneth Walker the third. That that was the objective. Objective was
Lincoln: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Lee Glass: don't let KW come in there and and and wreck the game for them and and they did that. And you see how pedestrian that Chiefs offense becomes with if Kenneth Walker isn't able to do what he needs to do. And so it and it also should goes to show how vital and how important he is as an acquisition to that team and to the success that they've had for the last couple of games, you know, leading up until this point. So With Seattle doing that, and it doesn't help that Seattle knows Kenneth Walker, right? He's he that's that was his that was his team. So they know his tendencies. I guess they they know how to stop him. so all that kind of just played against the Chiefs from that perspective. But that
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: to that point, you would think that it would open up the pass. And you have one of the best, if not the best quarterback in the league. but if you d if you have guys that, you know, they drop in the ball and there were a lot of drops in that game,
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: with in one you a couple from Xavier Worthy himself and you have an old tight end, you know, that there's not much you can do. It's not much you can do. I I felt bad for for Kenneth Walker. I was hoping that he could, you know, really, you know, do his thing there. And you know, it was a homecoming of sorts for him, wanting to show his old team that they made a mistake by not investing in him and, you know, keeping him around after winning the MVP at the Super Bowl last year. But Seattle shut him down. Seattle
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: shut him down. And and they did just enough on their side, even though the the score may not have shown it, for the but for the larger part of that game, it was pretty tight. And you had
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: Donald, he was, you know, throwing his picks as he normally would as well. But they the defense for Seattle is just I think it's the best defense in the league. Eaman Eamon Wari
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: and those guys, like Eamon Wore, I I like I don't know if he's a safety or if he's a linebacker. I don't know what he is, but he's all over the place. He can cover, he can blitz, he can stop the run, he is he's like a a
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: jack of all trades and from that aspect and he's elite in all of those different categories. So with a Joker piece like him, and then you got the best I think, you know, the best cornerb in the league is w especially from from a tackling perspective, they they're gonna be they're they're they're they're gonna be hard team to beat, man. Like I I I'm not worried about the record. I'm not worried about Darnold because they're gonna continue to play really good solid fundamental football, if
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: they get that running game going, and now with that new acquisition from the Colts with with the with the offensive guard Nelson, if they get that acquis if they get that running game going and they get good protection in the pass,
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: Yeah, I I don't I don't even want to think about it.
Donald "Doc" Glass: I I still don't understand 'cause I think they got a new a new O C, right? O C O C left in off season. That Jackson Smith and Jigba still getting open for like nine catches, a hundred a hundred and fifty yards, a touchdown, and like there's no one on the other side. Like you don't you ain't scared of tight end, you ain't they don't seem to use
Lee Glass: You got a Cooper Cup.
Donald "Doc" Glass: They have Cooper Cup.
Lincoln: Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: He he is a he is a solid possession receiver. But folks aren't sweating Cooper Cup trying to hurt them. And this guy is just gliding through open, making catches left, right, and center. Like it it's it's impressive. It's impressive to see. yeah, I think you know, Kenneth Walker was really disappointed. He he ain't shake no hands, he ain't give no one no hug, game was over. He
Lincoln: No. Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: was out.
Lee Glass: Exit stage left.
Donald "Doc" Glass: He was thinking, yeah. I'll I'll catch you, I'll catch you all later. but it goes to show how important he is to a KC offense, because that offense did not really do anything that game. I still don't know how Travis Kelsey gets open, because he goes
Lincoln: Me either.
Donald "Doc" Glass: for what three or four more yards and then gets tackled. But it's like, how is he open?
Lincoln: I don't get it.
Donald "Doc" Glass: and Yeah, so you know, i if can stop If you can stop Kenneth Walker the third and then make that offense pedestrian and you have a really good defense and an offense that can run clock but still move the chains and score like Seattle has, then yeah, you can knock off Kansas City, but not many teams can do that.
Lincoln: Yeah, right.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Sam Darnold hasn't come back to hurt them. Well, this game he didn't come back to hurt them, but that interception he threw was pretty bad interception.
Lincoln: Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: That's a good seven points Seattle could have had that they didn't. and so i he is he is that X factor, but like in a bad way for Seattle, right? Where If he is twenty twenty five, end of twenty twenty five into playoffs, Sam Darnold, that team will go far. If he is end of twenty twenty four, Sam Darnold, that's a whole other situation. And
Lincoln: Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: you just don't know w what's when and who's gonna show up and when he's gonna show up that Jekyll and Hyde part. But if he is solid, if he's not throwing the picks, they're gonna be a tough out in the playoffs. So
Lincoln: Yeah. Yep. Lee, you had mentioned just before this, you would mention the Colts you know, the the Seahawks just picking up, you know, the Colts guard. and I know before we jumped on, we was talking about this, the Colts having a fire sale, man. So they're getting rid of everybody. and you know, they're they're making some changes. I know a lot of people I've heard a lot of grumblings where people are regretting the the the the Daniel Jones thing. Yeah, that might have been a flash in the pan. Don't know what's what's you know, what what's happening there. so, you know, and then you got the you and you mentioned this before, I want you to jump into this some more, but you know, you mentioned the the owner, you know, Ursay's daughter, is is really heavy, heavy, heavy into the operations and the daily, you know, decisions that are being made as an owner, Jerry Jones esque. So, you know, what's what's going on in in in in Indianapolis now?
Lee Glass: Yeah, I was saying, Carly, Carly, Urse what's the last name? Urse Gordon. yeah,
Donald "Doc" Glass: Yeah, okay.
Lincoln: Yeah, or say gord, yeah.
Lee Glass: Urse Gordon. Yeah, she she's reading from the Book of Jerry. Reading from the Book of Jerry. you know, she's a new owner. And what what I noted and I and I I think we were talking about this from the beginning of the season, there there were reports about how she was inserting herself. you know. not just as an owner, but into the operations of the football of of of the you know the the play calling and and the and the personnel assignments and all that stuff like she she's on you can see her on the sideline with a notepad taking notes and talking to either players and or you know assistant coaches about who knows what. Very odd,
Lincoln: That's crazy.
Lee Glass: very interesting, very i it it's a very I don't wanna say weird, but you you you don't see that from an owner. You typically don't. Right.
Lincoln: Right. Yeah.
Lee Glass: And some would say, well, you know, of course she wants to know what's going on. I mean, there's ways of doing that without being a distraction. Okay. It's a distraction.
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: and so with that being said, you know, two weeks ago, of course, she she ended up firing the the GM. And now everybody sees, everybody knows, or it's been, you know, word was out there's a fire sale going on. They're looking to kind of like offload almost any and everybody. So the first iron to drop was Nelson. the all pro guard, he went to the to the Seahawks. And then
Lincoln: Mm.
Lee Glass: DeForest Buckner shortly after that, he went to the 49ers. And
Lincoln: Mm.
Lee Glass: you know, people are just waiting to see where w if and when Taylor gets gets shipped out as well. And
Lincoln: Ooh. Yeah.
Lee Glass: I have my thoughts about that because as a team, I think if if they're smart, they would pick up Jonathan Taylor and that would catapult them into I mean, I think, I mean, they're they already have the best record in the s in the league, right? But if
Lincoln: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: the Vikings were to get him, Lord have mercy. That would be but I
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: For yeah.
Lee Glass: I can't think of a better team for him to go to.
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: Than than the Vikings. But but yeah, but going back to the Colts, she's obviously she has a plan. And I guess right now they're just trying to pick up more draft picks, more draft capital, because they don't have a first round pick from the sauce the so from the sauce gardener trade. And
Lincoln: Right, that's right. Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: so they're just trying to pick up some more picks to get into this draft and do Lord knows what. And anyone who's trying who's thinking that they're gonna pick up a quarterback in this draft, they better rethink that as well. Because what we thought was gonna be one of the best group or best crop of quarterbacks is not looking as enticing as it once did, because these guys in college they don't seem to be living up to the hype. So it's gonna come back down to good old fashioned coaching, good old fashioned you know. vet pr prospecting, vetting talent and making really smart decisions in the draft to find people that comes in and complements the scheme that you're trying to put on the field. Okay. You can't look for someone
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: to come in and save you. You gotta look for someone to come in and be able to execute the way you expect them to execute based on their ability, their capability, their track record, and their their association with your plan. do they mesh with it?
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: So we'll see. We'll see if that works out for them. but they they're gonna have to get a GM. I I hope she doesn't continue reading that book from Jerry and try to insert herself as the GM, but I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happens. Cause the way she's going, the way she's operating, she may very well do something like that.
Lincoln: Mm. Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: No so Miss Ursay Gordon is the oldest oldest of the three daughters of Jim Ursay. I think she has been very much involved in learning operations the way Steven Stephen Jones with with with the cowboys, like you gotta learn the business from the inside. So you in charge of this, you're in charge of that. And because over the t over the years she's gotten more s more responsibility. So she was the natural of the three daughters to inherit, you know, the responsibility for the organization. And I think she just don't care what folks think. So when, Arthur Blank is on the sideline or Jerry Jones is on the sideline or other coaches, other owners come down early and do their stuff, it's fine. She's standing there rather than waiting for them to come to report to them, she's like there, like what's being called, what's going on. So I know what's going on in the business. We're like, hey, we don't we don't like that, right? Now, you know, and I honestly think if it were a male owner who did it, we they they'd be complimenting the male owner but really being like focused and And making sure that everyone is on board and they're all in alignment, but because it's a woman doing it, it's like, why is she inserting herself and and you know, what what is she doing? As if that's on her team. that being said, last year, like, hey, we started off good, they started off good. Let's make some trades, let's make a Super Bowl run, and then it all went downhill, right? Like Daniel Jones gets
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: hurt. Sauce Gardner doesn't seem to fit the scheme that they were running. He was not the impact player they thought he was gonna be. They lose what the last seven left seven games, don't make the playoffs, and then they've started off poorly as well. So it's like, okay, we need to revamp because we pushed all these chips in and we're coming up Snake Eyes. And the GM has been there for what, ten years and they really don't have a great quarterback. That team has not really done well since Andrew Luck was there. Right? Since Andrew Luck has left, they have not been a good team. and s in in one of the I would say one of the weaker divisions because outside of Houston the last few years and maybe Jacksonville last year to this year, like there just hasn't been gre Tennessee's not been good for the longest, right? So to that she's, you know, getting rid of the GM and the o the the coaches on the hot seat, he's not gone yet, but we'll see what happens with that. They have declared early that they are sellers. We don't usually have folks declare this early that they're sellers, but they're definitely sellers. on a on a personal side, as a Vikings fan, I would love to have Jonathan Taylor on the Minnesota Vikings. So I am speaking nicely of Miss Ursay Gordon and hoping that you know this woos her into making that trade happen. But all all that being said,
Lee Glass: That makes sense then. All right.
Donald "Doc" Glass: from a 30,000 foot viewpoint, it's unfortunate that they tried to make a move last year, things did not work out nearly as well as folks would have thought. Things just went off the rails. And I think it's just been the lack of the lack of success they've had for a long period of time that she's now making these moves. Does she have a plan? Honestly, I don't know. I don't know what that plan is. Right. she's making moves I just don't know if she's actually has a plan or if the coach as an organization have a plan really for this season or moving forward. And time will tell I guess.
Lee Glass: So let me
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: let me I I have a question, because I don't know if you were being tongue in cheek with the whole gender thing or not, but I mean I d I don't think anyone is questioning her because she's a a woman, right? Doing this at all. I think
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: it is I I I think it is really peculiar and we have not seen anything like this before where an owner is down there with a notepad taking notes and inserting themselves while the game is going on. asking and and and detailing everything that's happening. And I'm saying that that is a distraction. Okay, because you're the owner. You run
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: everything. It's it's it's it's the equivalent of the
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: the the Bill Gates, you know, going onto the no into the building, onto the wherever the the the the the the developers are, he's on the floor while they're coding and he's just walking around asking questions.
Lincoln: Mm.
Lee Glass: Right. And you don't know what he's doing or what he's asking as a employee, that's nerve-wracking. That can be a little bit intimidating. Okay. And so that's what I'm saying. I'm just saying,
Lincoln: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: like that, that, right, that within itself, as the owner around the players while the game is going on, around the assistant coaches while the game is going on, and you're taking notes and asking questions, right? That that can be a little bit off putting. it can cause a little bit of a disruption. That's all I'm saying. Whether you're a male or female, it's just something that you don't normally see. If that's gonna parley into s into some sort of
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Lee Glass: success, I'll be up to wait and see. But to me, that doesn't seem like a recipe for success. But I'll
Lincoln: Right.
Lee Glass: I'll I'll hap I'll
Donald "Doc" Glass: But yeah.
Lee Glass: happily, you know, eat my lunch or whatever it may be if if if I'm proven wrong, but I just don't see how that how that's helpful doing it that that way. I'm not saying that she can't ask questions,
Donald "Doc" Glass: Yeah.
Lee Glass: but in that in that at that moment, in that environment, during that time, it just to me, I don't see how that benefits anybody else except her.
Donald "Doc" Glass: I gotcha. and and to be
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: clear, I'm not I if if the if if the insinuation was you thought I was because of female, I never thought that. That was not what I was trying to imply. Though I do think there are people out there who
Lee Glass: No, I didn't think. Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: have that gender thing. I think putting that aside, yes, it is atypical for for an owner to be with headset on, listening to calls, and taking notes on the on a on a on a note on a notepad, right? But I think if I were to have inherit inherited a multi billion dollar corporation from my father and I didn't know how things were running, there would be some window where it'd be like, Hey, what's going on? What's with that? I didn't build this from the ground up. So explain to me w okay, cool, fine. And then kind of go into stuff. I do agree with you. It's a distraction to have the Bill Gates or the Or the Elon Musk walking around, be like, why why does that go there? Right. And I also
Lee Glass: Right. Right. And and what and and I'm glad go ahead.
Lincoln: Mm. Right. Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: and and I and I agree, it really is only, it really only benefits her. I think time will tell if there's enough benefit that a year from now, two years where she really understands things, she can help move the organization forward. But For now, yeah, it's uncomfortable 'cause it's like, hey, that's the person who can fire fire me, fire the person I report to, fire the person they report to, fire the person they report to.
Lee Glass: By everybody. Yeah.
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Why are they doing this stuff where no one else ever seems to be doing this? So
Lee Glass: Well, hop hopefully she's communicating behind behind closed doors exactly what her motives are and what she's doing with the people who, who's running the show like who who, who's with with the coaches and with the players, not really the players but with the coaches because it it's it's important to be communicative and to have some an open dialogue so that everybody can understand what the goal is. If they don't know what the goal is, I mean,
Donald "Doc" Glass: That's a problem.
Lee Glass: could you imagine if you you're the offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, whomever that's on those comms And you're, calling these plays and and and you know, whatever the jargon is that you guys are, you know, barbing back and forth about, you may be upset about something, but you know the owner's also listening in as well, like that's good that that's gonna that's gonna
Donald "Doc" Glass: Yep. Yep.
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: cause you to kind of rethink certain things or how you say certain things, or how you deliver certain things, and you know, how who knows how much more disruptive that's gonna be, right? So it's just to me it's just it's just kind of it's strange. And then To be there invisible, we can see her with the headset on, you can't do that in the booth. You can't do that like
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: somewhere else. it it just it to me it just seems as if yeah, yeah, it yeah. It
Donald "Doc" Glass: That is a fair point. That is a fair point. She could have an earpiece in in the booth.
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: it j it's it seems like she wants to be seen as someone that's doing something.
Lincoln: Yeah, she wanna be seen. Yeah, she she wanna be seen. I I
Lee Glass: Right?
Lincoln: there's no way you you y you you could do that's just that's just like people out there who are you out there volunteering and you feeding the homeless but you recording a video at the same time that you that you feeding the homeless. it's unnecessary. Just feed the homeless, right? It's unnecessary. Yeah. Right, exactly, exactly.
Lee Glass: Right, right, right. It's unnecessary. Yeah. You wanna listen in, listen in, but nobody gotta know that you're doing it. we don't have to
Donald "Doc" Glass: Yeah.
Lee Glass: know that you're doing that. Of course, let of course I
Lincoln: Okay. Yes.
Lee Glass: want the co the coaches should know that you're doing, but we don't have to know that that's what's happening. say Booker Jerry,
Lincoln: Exactly. Right, right, right. Yeah. Yeah.
Lee Glass: she reading like she taking it to another level, to be honest with you. Yeah.
Lincoln: Yeah, yeah, that's whole nother level. That's a whole nother level. but doc, you got you, you doc, you got on the shirt. You representing your Minnesota Vikings, man. you guys are the last team standing, six and and
Donald "Doc" Glass: So
Lincoln: hey, that that must feel really good. People still talking about the Chicago Bears, but look here. B we we g we the Minnesota Vikings, man. We undefeated. We six and We the ones who running this division right now. So hey, I wanna hear from you, man, as as one of the last teams standing at six and Minnesota Vikings. The last
Donald "Doc" Glass: The last team. The last team stand in.
Lincoln: teams, the last team, the only team. Yes, the Minnesota Vikings. Talk to us, man. Talk to us.
Donald "Doc" Glass: And let me give this context. it has never ended well for the Vikings. We ain't got one Lombardi trophy. So I'm gonna enjoy anything we can celebrate while we can celebrate it, right?
Lee Glass: You should. You should. Absolutely. Mm.
Lincoln: Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Se secondly, as awesome as our defense is, it is scheme, and the moment someone figures out the scheme. I'm worried when you play Buffalo and I've already played San Francisco that one two teams gonna figure out how to deal with that scheme. The offense is not what the offense needs to be. It's not as bad as it was last year, but it's still it's still pretty bad. And so we are getting by on a scheme that most quarterbacks can't figure out, and the best special teams unit in in in the NFL, and we're winning, you know, by three points, by four points. So yeah. which goes back to Jonathan Taylor. I would love to see him in in in purple 'cause that would very much change the dynamics of things. but yeah, I mean the defense is making awesome awesome plays. We we beat, you know, Ursay Gordon's team and I'm I'm sure that may be part of what the fire sale was all about, right? But But all that all that being said, things goes 17, 13, it it wasn't it wasn't as great as that defense has been, we didn't blow him out. So so I'm as a as a Vikings fan, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. But until it does, I'm surprised he went from three undefeated to like this us being the last one. So I'm I'm gonna enjoy it. Even if it's just for the week, I'm gonna enjoy it. So here we are.
Lincoln: Enjoy it, enjoy it, man. Got it like You know you Yeah Yeah
Lee Glass: But I gotta say something. I gotta say something. No, no, Jonathan I I I'll I'll I already invoked I invoked Jonathan Taylor on his team on that team. And I and
Donald "Doc" Glass: Nope, Jonathan Taylor. Come on man, please be in a minute be the minute be in a minute free.
Lee Glass: again I I still think that that would be the logical spot. If
Lincoln: Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Yes.
Lee Glass: if y'all got half of a GM, I don't know. I would he should be calling non stop to see if he can make a deal. because this is a window and not sure if the Vikings will have this window again. Right. Someone may actually try to give Brian Flores a job next season. Might. Right.
Lincoln: Mm, I hope so. I hope so.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Finally. Yeah.
Lee Glass: Someone might. Right. he's deserving of it, but we all know
Lincoln: Absolutely.
Lee Glass: the the politics behind that, right? But
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: I what what I'm curious about, Doc, is the offense has not looked good since Darnell has left. Right. Is it do we look at now, do we look at KOC and be like, okay, dude, is it is it his inability to be able to craft the offense so that it's more digestible for other quarterbacks? Because now I'm also looking at JJ McCarthy with
Lincoln: That's right.
Lee Glass: the Giants, and I'm like, he could play. He he could play, right? So
Lincoln: This is is night and day. Night and day. Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Yeah. Yep.
Lee Glass: so what what what do you have to say about that?
Donald "Doc" Glass: And and and we we we have talked about this offline about coaches who have their way versus coaches who can just coach, right? and to use and to use the analogy, there's some people where they they they do French Italian cuisine and if you give them beef, they're giving you at best beef stroganoff, right? They they they can do chicken, they can do fish, you give beef, they don't know what to do. Right. You give a steak. They don't they're giving you beef shroganoff, right? and there's
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: some folks, no matter what you give they'll they'll make the best out of it. So one we end up having JJ McCarthy coming from Michigan, run heavy offense, comes to the Vikings, and we're making him drop back and throw, you know, thirty, thirty five, forty times a game, read defenses, a lot of two safety high stuff, and not as not his best skill set. He goes to the Giants, Jim talks with John, preps him, their run their run first, more play action, more single
Lee Glass: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: high safety because the other safety's coming in to help stop the run. A lot more sideline throws, right? A lot less trying to read unit progressions four or five. And the dudes like killing it. Right.
Lincoln: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: And you're like, how how could he do that in less than a month and be with his other team for over two years and we can't figure it out? And as much as I enjoy having KOC as the head coach slash offense coordinator, it's really veteran quarterbacks that come in and can kind of run his system.
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: But all the all the rookies, all the other journeyman type guys, they they they don't they can't do it. Right? So
Lincoln: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: he's running this complex
Lee Glass: Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: thing and he doesn't know how to simplify it, make it digestible. He's finally at least learned to tone it down and make it less complex so the quarterback is less likely to make mistakes. And As much as Kalamori will make some plays, I am impressed with him eating the ball. Cause there's been at least three times in that game where he was under duress and he just he just went down and crumbled. And it's like, thank you. Cause that defense is so good. Don't turn the ball over, right? Don't try to make a play and make a bad play worse. And unfortunately the offense is now minimizing negatives instead of trying to make huge positives. But to your point, he's just as good as he's supposed to be as an offensive co as an offensive guru, quote unquote quarterback whisperer, a lot of folks aren't hearing what he's whispering. Right? And so
Lee Glass: Mm-hmm.
Donald "Doc" Glass: and no, and so that's the thing, is right now he's at least let the defense lead and offense don't screw it up. And that's how we're six and no. Right?
Lincoln: Yeah.
Lee Glass: Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: and I and even scarier I worry if we were to get someone like Jonathan Taylor, would be really be a run first offense. And then take those six to eight shots downfield with Justin Jefferson and Addison, and they get three, four catches for a hundred yards and a touchdown. Or are we still gonna try to be fifty fifty or fifty-five percent pass, forty-five percent run with a Jonathan Taylor? When you know and I know He should be the bell cow and then everything
Lee Glass: Yeah.
Donald "Doc" Glass: else feeds off it and the passing game is gonna be so much more effective with a safety high because you have no choice but to bring that safety down to stop the run. But let's just throw the ball because I love throwing the ball.
Lincoln: I I Go ahead. Go ahead,
Lee Glass: If if yeah, go ahead.
Lincoln: Lee. Go ahead.
Lee Glass: I was gonna say if y'all were to get him, right, the stars aligned and y'all got him, and KOC decide to get past happy, that I would lose a whole lot of respect for him as a play caller because I mean Jonathan Taylor is like a tr he's a traditional running back. He's more along the lines of like an Emmett Smith, Sean Alexander, not a Marshall Falk, Thurman Thomas, right? So you you can't expect him to be able to play, pass catcher and you know, pull a thousand yards receiving and a thousand yards rushing. He's like you gotta give him the rock and you gotta give him some volume with that, and he will break it for you when once you do that, right? So that and and again, you're you shouldn't be depending on the quarterback if you got a guy like that and a defense like that. So we'll see. We'll see.
Lincoln: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, we'll see. I and and I and I must say, Doc, from from the quarterback, standpoint, truly, you know, if if and and you talk about it from a veteran standpoint, if Carson Wentz could come in and learn the offense and look good, then anybody could do it, you know.
Lee Glass: There he go, there he go. Boom.
Lincoln: All right.
Donald "Doc" Glass: Yeah. Nice. Well well done. Well done. Yeah. Nice. Nice. Well played.
Lee Glass: Who where did that come from? Who did that? Nice.
Lincoln: I I had it on cue. I was on Q. It was on Q. It was on Q.
Donald "Doc" Glass: It's it's cut Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz. Nice.
Lincoln: man. Yep, yep, yeah. All right. So that's a wrap on the recap show, man. good recap, you know, on on what was going on in the NFL. So you know, we'll we will definitely catch up with you guys next week on the recap show.
