ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In 1930s Cleveland, a series of brutal murders terrorized Kingsbury Run. The Cleveland Torso Murders left victims dismembered and unidentified, while investigators struggled to determine who was responsible. Even famed lawman Elliot Ness became involved, and suspicion eventually focused on surgeon Dr. Francis E. Sweeney. But despite the investigation, the case was never officially solved.
This episode of Devious Backstories explores the victims, investigation, theories surrounding Sweeney, and the mystery that still surrounds the Cleveland Torso Murders.
