ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Conflict reporter/writer/cartoonist Ted Rall and political analyst Jamarl Thomas deprogram you from mainstream media every weekday at 9 AM ET.
Today we discuss:
• Trump said the U.S. is willing to help Russia after the State Department announced it was monitoring a reportedly fatal case of "pneumonia of an unknown etiology”—pneumonic plague—linked to a Russian plague research laboratory in Irkutsk Oblast.
• 1,800 high schools and 90% of universities in France are currently blockaded or closed. The wave of protests started with 15 to 18-year-old lycéens and has now spread to their parents, university students and the biggest union, the CGT. The Interior Ministry estimates about 86,000 protesters have taken to the streets across France, not including the Paris region.
• Leaders in California have denounced Donald Trump as “reckless” and “deranged” after the US president suggested Iran could “take out” Los Angeles and San Diego. A new Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Trump’s approval rating at a record-low 32%. That polling included the president losing support among independent voters and Latinos, who had backed him in 2024.
• China has opened its first overseas air force base in its home continent of Asia—in Laos—where the US already maintains several military bases and access arrangements, marking a new phase in Beijing’s military expansion nearly a decade after establishing its first overseas military base in Djibouti, Africa, in 2017.
• The German federal prosecutor’s office announced it had detained the former spy chief, August Hanning, 80 — who led Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service, or BND, from 1998 to 2005 — but did not say which foreign countries he was accused of spying for. Adding to the drama was the revelation that the investigation had origins in an alleged attempt by a German steakhouse heiress to kidnap her children from her estranged husband.

TRANSCRIPT 🔗
00:00:13.390 --> 00:00:15.810
Good morning. You are watching DeProgram with
00:00:15.810 --> 00:00:19.190
Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas. Jamarl Thomas is
00:00:19.190 --> 00:00:22.469
presumably wrapping up his morning show and will
00:00:22.469 --> 00:00:25.510
be with us shortly. Here's what we've got teed
00:00:25.510 --> 00:00:28.170
up for you this morning. President Trump says
00:00:28.170 --> 00:00:30.550
that the United States is willing to help the
00:00:30.550 --> 00:00:34.969
Russian Federation if Russia requests assistance.
00:00:35.270 --> 00:00:38.649
I think that's highly unlikely. But pneumonic
00:00:38.649 --> 00:00:43.189
plague has escaped from a research lab in eastern
00:00:43.189 --> 00:00:47.130
Russia, in Irkutsk Oblast, and it has killed a
00:00:47.130 --> 00:00:50.189
lab worker there. We'll tell you about plague
00:00:50.189 --> 00:00:54.549
and exactly what it all means. 1,800 high schools
00:00:54.549 --> 00:00:58.189
and 90% of the universities in France are currently
00:00:58.189 --> 00:01:01.789
either closed or blockaded, and therefore effectively
00:01:01.789 --> 00:01:05.349
closed, as protests now spread from the students
00:01:05.349 --> 00:01:09.150
in their second week of protests into the parents,
00:01:09.349 --> 00:01:11.790
university students, and the nation's biggest
00:01:11.790 --> 00:01:15.989
union, the CGT. Leaders in California are denouncing
00:01:15.989 --> 00:01:19.829
Donald Trump as reckless and deranged after Trump
00:01:19.829 --> 00:01:22.670
was talking at a rally and suggested that Iran
00:01:22.670 --> 00:01:26.510
might want to take out Los Angeles and San Diego.
00:01:27.129 --> 00:01:29.209
Suggested that implied that he might be okay
00:01:29.209 --> 00:01:31.390
with it. Meanwhile, Trump's approval ratings are
00:01:31.390 --> 00:01:35.590
down to 32. That's a record low for him. China
00:01:35.590 --> 00:01:38.530
has opened its first overseas air force base,
00:01:38.530 --> 00:01:41.569
not in the world. They have one in Djibouti in
00:01:41.569 --> 00:01:45.590
Africa, but in Asia. This one is in Laos, and Americans
00:01:45.590 --> 00:01:47.989
are freaking out because they didn't see it coming.
00:01:47.989 --> 00:01:52.189
And in Germany, the federal prosecutor's office
00:01:52.189 --> 00:01:56.340
has detained the former head of the BND, which
00:01:56.340 --> 00:02:00.159
is the CIA of Germany. He was in charge back
00:02:00.159 --> 00:02:02.959
in the late '90s and early aughts. He's accused
00:02:02.959 --> 00:02:05.640
of spying, and there's lots of drama affiliated
00:02:05.640 --> 00:02:09.719
with that. And Dennis Hastert and Jimmy Swaggart,
00:02:09.719 --> 00:02:13.199
the most moral of all people who have ever lived,
00:02:13.199 --> 00:02:16.000
have died. May they rest in peace. Good morning,
00:02:16.000 --> 00:02:18.740
Jamarl. How are you? I'm doing fine. How's it going
00:02:18.740 --> 00:02:21.310
this morning? Good. I'm just imagining the afterlife
00:02:21.310 --> 00:02:24.189
cocktail party where Jimmy Swaggart hangs out
00:02:24.189 --> 00:02:27.849
with Dennis Hastert. Both of them drop dead at
00:02:27.849 --> 00:02:30.590
the same time? Uh-huh. Yep. I'm sure they're
00:02:30.590 --> 00:02:32.810
in the same place, wherever that is. Well, I
00:02:32.810 --> 00:02:34.909
don't believe in an afterlife, but I always imagine
00:02:34.909 --> 00:02:37.830
an afterlife cocktail party. James Baker died,
00:02:37.930 --> 00:02:40.289
too. Oh, sorry. Not Jimmy Swaggart. I was thinking
00:02:40.289 --> 00:02:41.830
of James Baker. That's who I was thinking of.
00:02:42.050 --> 00:02:45.560
I always confuse those two. Okay. Wow. The two
00:02:45.560 --> 00:02:50.400
fake Christians who start with a J. Yeah, that's
00:02:50.400 --> 00:02:54.719
how my mind thinks. Okay, so we have... You heard
00:02:54.719 --> 00:02:56.919
what we've got to talk about? Oh, please follow
00:02:56.919 --> 00:02:59.719
and share. Today is our one-hour show, so we have
00:02:59.719 --> 00:03:02.099
a lot to pack in in the remaining 57 minutes.
00:03:02.099 --> 00:03:05.430
We do this Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 9
00:03:05.430 --> 00:03:08.770
to 11. We do it Tuesdays and Thursdays from
00:03:08.770 --> 00:03:11.490
9 to 10. TMI show coming up at 10 on Tuesdays
00:03:11.490 --> 00:03:15.250
and Thursdays. We do appreciate, and we need your
00:03:15.250 --> 00:03:19.849
support, so please do that if you can. And I'm
00:03:19.849 --> 00:03:21.330
trying to think what else there is to say. Okay,
00:03:21.409 --> 00:03:24.990
I think that's pretty much it. I'm kind of interested
00:03:24.990 --> 00:03:27.729
in all these stories. Charles, why don't you
00:03:27.729 --> 00:03:33.590
pick? Let's go with the protests. Okay, yeah, let's
00:03:33.590 --> 00:03:37.280
go to the protest. By the way, yeah, it's spread
00:03:37.280 --> 00:03:41.030
to Belgium. Oh, really? Oh, that's cool. Yeah, I was
00:03:41.030 --> 00:03:43.909
watching the kids basically wreck stuff in Belgium
00:03:43.909 --> 00:03:46.509
and fight the cops and all this other stuff. And
00:03:46.509 --> 00:03:48.710
what they see: the protests are always
00:03:48.710 --> 00:03:50.729
risky because they can always be categorized
00:03:50.729 --> 00:03:53.490
as, what does this violence have to do with the
00:03:53.490 --> 00:03:55.610
thing that you actually want? And that's what
00:03:55.610 --> 00:03:56.949
they're saying. They're saying, well, what does this
00:03:56.949 --> 00:03:59.409
violence have to do with what does
00:03:59.409 --> 00:04:01.310
come to school at eight o'clock, and what does
00:04:01.310 --> 00:04:04.110
this attacking teachers have to do with whatever
00:04:04.110 --> 00:04:06.490
is effectively taking place? And France is more
00:04:06.490 --> 00:04:08.810
clear. In France, because it's a political issue.
00:04:08.810 --> 00:04:13.449
In Belgium, I'm kind of unclear on the rationale.
00:04:13.449 --> 00:04:15.490
They're making the argument: class size.
00:04:15.490 --> 00:04:20.029
We want, I don't know, we want to come to
00:04:20.029 --> 00:04:22.889
school at eight o'clock. We want, et cetera, et
00:04:22.889 --> 00:04:26.199
cetera. I don't know. They seem slightly different
00:04:26.199 --> 00:04:29.350
to me. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I don't know the
00:04:29.350 --> 00:04:31.910
situation in Belgium. I have to say,
00:04:32.360 --> 00:04:34.939
I'm really surprised even by the French complaints.
00:04:34.939 --> 00:04:39.040
The French system prided itself on
00:04:39.040 --> 00:04:41.740
equity and equality within the system,
00:04:41.740 --> 00:04:44.759
and obviously nothing's ever perfect,
00:04:44.759 --> 00:04:48.279
but having attended and visited and spoken
00:04:48.279 --> 00:04:51.500
at French public high schools in the past
00:04:51.500 --> 00:04:54.019
on book tour and everything, I was always super
00:04:54.019 --> 00:04:57.480
impressed by what a well-run system
00:04:57.480 --> 00:05:01.100
it was. And I just, obviously, I haven't
00:05:01.100 --> 00:05:03.959
been there for the last five, ten years in those
00:05:03.959 --> 00:05:06.360
schools. So what the hell has happened,
00:05:06.360 --> 00:05:09.319
right? I've got to think it's austerity.
00:05:09.319 --> 00:05:11.439
I've got to think that the government is just
00:05:11.439 --> 00:05:14.000
not dedicating the financial resources needed
00:05:14.000 --> 00:05:17.100
to run the schools properly, and that
00:05:17.100 --> 00:05:19.300
it's driving the kids crazy. Certainly,
00:05:19.870 --> 00:05:21.790
the hours have gotten longer. I don't get that
00:05:21.790 --> 00:05:25.709
at all. It's from eight to six in France, which
00:05:25.709 --> 00:05:29.459
is insane. People don't work eight to
00:05:29.459 --> 00:05:32.920
six. Yeah, that's insane. They have a 32-hour
00:05:32.920 --> 00:05:36.680
work week in France. What do they expect?
00:05:36.879 --> 00:05:38.959
Are they taking classes the entire time?
00:05:39.000 --> 00:05:40.779
Whether they're taking classes or not, that time
00:05:40.779 --> 00:05:43.459
frame is insane. It's too long. And then they
00:05:43.459 --> 00:05:44.860
have to wake up in the morning and do the same
00:05:44.860 --> 00:05:48.269
thing over again. Yeah, you have to be up at
00:05:48.269 --> 00:05:52.110
6 in the morning and get to school, and then
00:05:52.110 --> 00:05:54.750
you're not really home until maybe 6:30 or 7,
00:05:55.009 --> 00:05:57.370
right? In the winter, it's
00:05:57.370 --> 00:06:00.889
dark. Pardon? What was the reason for it? Because
00:06:00.889 --> 00:06:05.490
I remember being in school, and I think we used
00:06:05.490 --> 00:06:07.509
to get out around 3:30 or something like that.
00:06:08.569 --> 00:06:12.689
What are you doing that late into the
00:06:12.689 --> 00:06:15.310
day? Is it just advantageous for parents,
00:06:15.310 --> 00:06:17.129
because parents are at home at the time when
00:06:17.129 --> 00:06:18.829
the kids get home? Yes, that's what it's saying
00:06:18.829 --> 00:06:22.189
here. It's saying that, okay, so what's basically
00:06:22.189 --> 00:06:26.050
going on here is so the parents can pick
00:06:26.050 --> 00:06:29.060
up. They can drop off their kids before work and
00:06:29.060 --> 00:06:31.839
pick them up after work. That's primarily. Oh,
00:06:31.920 --> 00:06:34.420
and also they do have the long lunch break, but
00:06:34.420 --> 00:06:36.120
they used to have the long break run through.
00:06:36.120 --> 00:06:37.680
It's France, right? So they have a
00:06:37.680 --> 00:06:40.300
one- to two-hour lunch break, so kids can go home
00:06:40.300 --> 00:06:42.600
or... They have a two-hour lunch break in France.
00:06:43.639 --> 00:06:47.350
Oh, yeah. It used to be two to three. It's France,
00:06:47.529 --> 00:06:51.110
man. France is a civilized country. And
00:06:51.910 --> 00:06:55.110
also, traditionally, elementary school
00:06:55.110 --> 00:06:58.970
kids used to have Wednesday off, so they would
00:06:58.970 --> 00:07:02.269
jam in the extra hours for the rest of the week,
00:07:02.269 --> 00:07:04.490
or they'd have a half day on Saturday sometimes.
00:07:04.490 --> 00:07:07.370
It's no wonder France loses all of its wars. These
00:07:07.370 --> 00:07:09.470
people are so soft and weak. This is pathetic.
00:07:10.339 --> 00:07:13.139
Well, let me just say, a bunch of cream puffs.
00:07:13.199 --> 00:07:18.019
France has the highest per capita productivity
00:07:18.019 --> 00:07:20.660
in the world, far higher than the United States.
00:07:20.779 --> 00:07:23.620
Their workers are far more productive than ours
00:07:23.620 --> 00:07:26.220
in a far shorter amount of time. So we should
00:07:26.220 --> 00:07:28.279
be taking some clues from them. So that's why
00:07:28.279 --> 00:07:32.759
they're burning the country down? Because it
00:07:32.759 --> 00:07:36.269
impacts their schedules? You have to admit they're
00:07:36.269 --> 00:07:38.310
very productive at burning the country down. They're
00:07:38.310 --> 00:07:40.290
doing it in a very efficient way. Yeah, well, that
00:07:40.290 --> 00:07:42.069
way they can import migrants to rebuild it, since
00:07:42.069 --> 00:07:44.689
they can do jobs that French people won't do. Hey,
00:07:44.689 --> 00:07:46.730
that reconstruction, it's gonna
00:07:46.730 --> 00:07:49.170
drive the economy. Every school you
00:07:49.170 --> 00:07:50.949
burn down is a new school that has to be built.
00:07:50.949 --> 00:07:57.290
Is that the way you think about it? Yeah, that's
00:07:57.290 --> 00:07:59.370
what generated the post-war economy of Japan,
00:07:59.370 --> 00:08:04.579
right? No, but seriously. Two-hour lunches
00:08:04.579 --> 00:08:07.199
is insane, Ted. And maybe they should just say,
00:08:07.339 --> 00:08:09.620
look, let's do 30 minutes and we'll get off at
00:08:09.620 --> 00:08:12.139
3:30 in the evening and call it a day.
00:08:12.160 --> 00:08:17.959
They can't have it both ways. Well, I think it
00:08:17.959 --> 00:08:19.860
has more to do. They're padding it with a long
00:08:19.860 --> 00:08:23.500
lunch in order to extend the day so that kids'
00:08:23.500 --> 00:08:25.680
parents can pick up their kids after school.
00:08:25.779 --> 00:08:28.490
They get off work at 5. They drive over to the
00:08:28.490 --> 00:08:32.049
school at 5:45, pick up their kids. Look,
00:08:32.169 --> 00:08:34.370
there needs to be a better way.
00:08:34.370 --> 00:08:36.809
There's just, obviously, the kids are saying there
00:08:36.809 --> 00:08:39.409
needs to be a better way. Fix it. We don't care
00:08:39.409 --> 00:08:43.090
how. Fix it. Well, for one, there are so many assumptions
00:08:43.090 --> 00:08:45.409
built into that. Why are they assuming the parents
00:08:45.409 --> 00:08:48.029
get off at that particular time frame?
00:08:48.049 --> 00:08:49.690
Parents could get off at three. They can get
00:08:49.690 --> 00:08:51.860
off at two. Hell, maybe they work at home. Oh,
00:08:51.860 --> 00:08:54.139
France is a far more regimented country than
00:08:54.139 --> 00:08:56.659
ours. They don't have... It's
00:08:56.659 --> 00:08:58.679
definitely most... Sure, there are people
00:08:58.679 --> 00:09:00.559
who work night shift and stuff like that,
00:09:00.559 --> 00:09:03.460
but the vast majority of people really do get
00:09:03.460 --> 00:09:06.419
off at five. So also, what does it matter
00:09:06.419 --> 00:09:09.039
if they got off at five? The kids just go home,
00:09:09.039 --> 00:09:13.019
right? Latchkey kids. Yeah, let yourself
00:09:13.019 --> 00:09:17.429
in. So they don't trust their kids. Go home
00:09:17.429 --> 00:09:19.009
and watch Gilligan's Island, like you're supposed
00:09:19.009 --> 00:09:22.470
to. Exactly. So the French don't trust their kids.
00:09:22.669 --> 00:09:27.649
And Star Trek reruns. I know. Nostalgic.
00:09:28.750 --> 00:09:32.149
So France doesn't trust their kids to go home by
00:09:32.149 --> 00:09:36.090
themselves. Or maybe they think it's uncivilized,
00:09:36.090 --> 00:09:38.269
or that the kids need to be supervised,
00:09:38.490 --> 00:09:42.009
not necessarily a trust issue. It's
00:09:42.009 --> 00:09:44.629
cultural. A lot of people feel,
00:09:44.629 --> 00:09:47.710
look, as a parent, I felt very privileged
00:09:47.710 --> 00:09:50.929
to be able to drop my kid off and pick him up
00:09:50.929 --> 00:09:54.100
after school when he was little. It
00:09:54.100 --> 00:09:56.299
just felt good. It gave me the warm fuzzies. I
00:09:56.299 --> 00:09:59.179
didn't think he was unsafe making his way home
00:09:59.179 --> 00:10:01.820
on the bus or by himself. I'm sure he could. No
00:10:01.820 --> 00:10:03.740
worries, no muss, no fuss. I lived in a very safe place,
00:10:03.740 --> 00:10:07.539
but it's... I'm not one of those
00:10:07.539 --> 00:10:09.980
stranger-danger parents.
00:10:09.980 --> 00:10:12.820
I totally think it's cool. I have no problem,
00:10:12.820 --> 00:10:15.759
even in New York City, with the Lenore Skenazy
00:10:15.759 --> 00:10:17.919
thing of letting your kid take the subway home
00:10:17.919 --> 00:10:20.779
in second grade. You absolutely should be able
00:10:20.779 --> 00:10:24.220
to. I took the bus to downtown Dayton,
00:10:24.220 --> 00:10:26.700
which was pretty spicy when I was a kid, when
00:10:26.700 --> 00:10:29.139
I was in second, third grade. No muss, no fuss,
00:10:29.139 --> 00:10:33.240
no problem. It made me the man I am today. So,
00:10:33.490 --> 00:10:35.909
but I think the bigger issues
00:10:35.909 --> 00:10:39.490
here are, obviously, this is a bigger issue. It's
00:10:39.490 --> 00:10:42.570
kind of when we talk with Robby about how
00:10:42.570 --> 00:10:44.690
the government hates us and doesn't take care
00:10:44.690 --> 00:10:48.070
of us, and the Israel and the
00:10:48.070 --> 00:10:51.190
Ukraine thing. It's framed also
00:10:51.190 --> 00:10:53.669
within the context of we're not getting the things
00:10:53.669 --> 00:10:56.350
we need, like health care and infrastructure, in
00:10:56.350 --> 00:10:59.149
this country. I think what's going on in France
00:10:59.149 --> 00:11:01.450
is similar. They're looking at the social contract.
00:11:01.450 --> 00:11:03.950
They're sending money to Ukraine
00:11:03.950 --> 00:11:07.049
also, and they're dealing, and their government
00:11:07.049 --> 00:11:09.629
seems to have all sorts of priorities, and the
00:11:09.629 --> 00:11:11.710
kids and the parents look around at their schools
00:11:11.710 --> 00:11:13.990
that are falling apart and their teachers who
00:11:13.990 --> 00:11:16.789
aren't getting raises, and they wonder where the
00:11:16.789 --> 00:11:19.429
fuck is the money from this incredibly robust
00:11:19.429 --> 00:11:22.950
economy going? And it's a good, it's a very valid
00:11:22.950 --> 00:11:25.889
question, and that's why they're pissed off. And
00:11:25.889 --> 00:11:28.789
unlike us, they're willing to do something about
00:11:28.789 --> 00:11:31.110
it. I want to... I think this is notable, and we do
00:11:31.110 --> 00:11:32.669
have a lot to talk about today, so we probably
00:11:32.669 --> 00:11:34.970
shouldn't linger too much on this, but I think
00:11:34.970 --> 00:11:38.269
what's notable here is the solidarity. I love
00:11:38.269 --> 00:11:40.710
the fact that the parents are walking alongside
00:11:40.710 --> 00:11:44.450
their students. I like the fact that the CGT,
00:11:44.549 --> 00:11:47.409
which is the former communist labor union, which
00:11:47.409 --> 00:11:49.710
is the biggest labor union in France, it's like
00:11:49.710 --> 00:11:52.769
the AFL-CIO, that they are joining the students
00:11:52.769 --> 00:11:55.809
and calling for a national strike, that firefighters
00:11:55.809 --> 00:11:58.450
are on strike, which makes it spicy when the
00:11:58.450 --> 00:12:04.730
fires are starting. Yes, yes. It's... I
00:12:04.730 --> 00:12:06.990
just love that solidarity. Could you imagine
00:12:06.990 --> 00:12:09.289
how much the left could get done in this country,
00:12:09.289 --> 00:12:12.190
or populists in general could get
00:12:12.190 --> 00:12:14.970
done if we had that level of solidarity?
00:12:14.970 --> 00:12:18.210
Whenever someone who's beleaguered,
00:12:18.230 --> 00:12:20.129
if the air traffic controllers went on strike
00:12:20.129 --> 00:12:22.710
in the early '80s and everyone else went
00:12:22.710 --> 00:12:25.029
with them. Well, they wouldn't have been fired
00:12:25.029 --> 00:12:26.909
by Reagan. They couldn't have been. They would
00:12:26.909 --> 00:12:29.549
have all been protected. They look out
00:12:29.549 --> 00:12:31.909
for each other in France. Solidarity is a national
00:12:31.909 --> 00:12:35.070
value. And we don't. I think we could
00:12:35.070 --> 00:12:38.870
take a note. No, I agree. The rugged
00:12:38.870 --> 00:12:41.029
individualist thing, which was always a myth,
00:12:41.250 --> 00:12:46.340
is pervasive. It just is. You don't know. Your
00:12:46.340 --> 00:12:49.649
problems are your own. You figure it out. Yeah.
00:12:49.929 --> 00:12:55.220
We got some comments. Okay. Mr. Ali says, the
00:12:55.220 --> 00:12:59.779
French are lazy fucks. Philip Blair: France only
00:12:59.779 --> 00:13:04.789
recently lost Burkina Faso. Neocolonialism never
00:13:04.789 --> 00:13:08.629
ended. And, well, that's true. By the way, we
00:13:08.629 --> 00:13:10.509
never even talked about that, the effect
00:13:10.509 --> 00:13:12.389
that that has on France. France was able
00:13:12.389 --> 00:13:15.809
to use its colonies to extract wealth from those
00:13:15.809 --> 00:13:18.049
colonies, like uranium, without necessarily paying
00:13:18.049 --> 00:13:20.529
the actual value for the uranium. Well, now they've
00:13:20.529 --> 00:13:23.320
got to pay a regular price. Yeah, that's true.
00:13:23.419 --> 00:13:26.879
All that stuff gets expensive. And
00:13:26.899 --> 00:13:29.080
France has, unfortunately, they still have,
00:13:29.080 --> 00:13:31.480
despite the revolution, a rigid
00:13:31.480 --> 00:13:34.080
class system. And that's also always holding
00:13:34.080 --> 00:13:36.539
them back. They have... We're
00:13:36.539 --> 00:13:38.279
getting to that point, too, where we have low
00:13:38.279 --> 00:13:41.139
to no class mobility. But in France, that's been
00:13:41.139 --> 00:13:43.620
a longstanding problem, even when their economy
00:13:43.620 --> 00:13:47.159
was better. Mackinac says, Robby, shirt and
00:13:47.159 --> 00:13:51.220
hat arrived today. Very good quality. Robby,
00:13:51.240 --> 00:13:53.179
which shirt and hat are we talking about here?
00:13:55.299 --> 00:14:00.669
So, on my channel, I've got a link called shop.westglaciamedia.com.
00:14:00.669 --> 00:14:04.690
And so I have a couple
00:14:04.690 --> 00:14:08.129
of really nice things. So I've got Vlad the Impaler
00:14:08.129 --> 00:14:11.669
on a shirt. It says, "Bad neighbors make great
00:14:11.669 --> 00:14:18.259
fences." And it's quite nice. I've got all kinds
00:14:18.259 --> 00:14:21.980
of merch. I have put together a Deport That Heifer
00:14:21.980 --> 00:14:26.820
shirt and coffee cup. And I've actually got one
00:14:26.820 --> 00:14:29.159
of them. And yeah, that's what I'm doing. Making
00:14:29.159 --> 00:14:32.980
friends in all the right places. By the way,
00:14:33.159 --> 00:14:34.740
Robby, I owe you an apology from yesterday.
00:14:34.960 --> 00:14:40.240
I was far too strong on the software thing. The
00:14:40.240 --> 00:14:45.169
thing that I didn't believe was the... I think,
00:14:45.169 --> 00:14:46.990
in my mind, when I think about it, I think I
00:14:46.990 --> 00:14:50.470
was making the distinction between... I don't
00:14:50.470 --> 00:14:51.529
know what it is. I think it was the software
00:14:51.529 --> 00:14:54.330
thing for some reason. Or the idea that code...
00:14:54.549 --> 00:14:57.149
And maybe I misunderstood. Code can be created
00:14:57.149 --> 00:15:02.269
that does not have bugs, or that doesn't. It always
00:15:02.269 --> 00:15:04.090
has bugs. But what you do, though, is that you
00:15:04.090 --> 00:15:06.649
use telemetry to find, especially the bugs that
00:15:06.649 --> 00:15:08.789
always appear, the ones that just kind of sneak
00:15:08.789 --> 00:15:11.549
in. If you have telemetry, you're able to go
00:15:11.549 --> 00:15:14.529
in and find what happens to make this happen.
00:15:15.049 --> 00:15:17.210
And so that's what I do. So basically, with my
00:15:17.210 --> 00:15:19.289
model, so I've got the model, but I've got Python
00:15:19.289 --> 00:15:21.669
scaffolding around it. So every time I run something,
00:15:21.750 --> 00:15:23.730
it generates a JSON file. And so that's what
00:15:23.730 --> 00:15:28.799
I do. I understand that. Keep it simple. I don't
00:15:28.799 --> 00:15:31.860
think it's simple, but fair enough. I guess my
00:15:31.860 --> 00:15:33.639
point is, you have my apologies. I was far too
00:15:33.639 --> 00:15:36.899
strong on the "I don't believe it" thing. No, it's
00:15:36.899 --> 00:15:38.600
fine. You don't have to. I would argue that all
00:15:38.600 --> 00:15:41.360
code has bugs. Of course it does. Well, that's
00:15:41.360 --> 00:15:43.929
why I audit. That's the whole point. I'm not
00:15:43.929 --> 00:15:46.110
saying it's perfect. I'm saying the exact opposite
00:15:46.110 --> 00:15:48.769
of that. Listen, I'm building something. My
00:15:48.769 --> 00:15:50.690
family tree goes straight up. I have very little
00:15:50.690 --> 00:15:53.129
genetic diversity. I'm a man from the Deep South.
00:15:53.370 --> 00:15:59.399
So I'm baking my stupidity into it. Okay. I hear
00:15:59.399 --> 00:16:02.450
you. No, I am building this on the assumption
00:16:02.450 --> 00:16:04.730
I'm going to screw everything up. And I also
00:16:04.730 --> 00:16:06.889
understand that if it's not written down, it
00:16:06.889 --> 00:16:11.320
never happened. So that's what I do. Okay. It's
00:16:11.320 --> 00:16:17.519
all logs. Okay. Okay, so let's see. A couple
00:16:17.519 --> 00:16:23.279
comments here. Nietzsche: if you were a girl
00:16:23.279 --> 00:16:27.240
in second grade, would you be okay? I guess if
00:16:27.240 --> 00:16:29.059
you had a second-grade daughter, would you be
00:16:29.059 --> 00:16:35.840
okay with her being on the subway? Yes. No. Philip
00:16:35.840 --> 00:16:37.779
Blair: remember when Hillary Clinton and the
00:16:37.779 --> 00:16:39.759
French government overthrew the government of
00:16:39.759 --> 00:16:45.019
Libya? I do remember. Very few people do. Yeah.
00:16:45.340 --> 00:16:48.850
It was Sarkozy, if I remember correctly. It sure
00:16:48.850 --> 00:16:54.710
was. Imbecile. Okay, so what should we talk about?
00:16:54.789 --> 00:16:58.490
Should we talk about Trump? Yeah, that approval
00:16:58.490 --> 00:17:00.710
rating is insane. He's going to hit the
00:17:00.710 --> 00:17:04.089
20s. He is going to hit the 20s. When he resumes
00:17:04.089 --> 00:17:06.529
the war, that number is going to drop to the
00:17:06.529 --> 00:17:12.069
20s. Yeah, yeah. And by the way, I've never seen
00:17:12.069 --> 00:17:13.650
an approval rating this low. I thought George
00:17:13.650 --> 00:17:16.069
Bush was going to be the lowest in the history.
00:17:16.069 --> 00:17:20.369
Not so much. I saw ratings like this because I'm
00:17:20.369 --> 00:17:23.809
older than you. Richard Nixon, a few months, a month
00:17:23.809 --> 00:17:26.730
or two before his resignation, he was down
00:17:26.730 --> 00:17:29.809
to 28, I think. But this is, yeah, no, you're right.
00:17:29.809 --> 00:17:32.369
In the modern era, this is unprecedented.
00:17:32.369 --> 00:17:34.670
I was going to ask you. You like sports,
00:17:34.670 --> 00:17:36.930
and to me this feels a little bit like a sports
00:17:36.930 --> 00:17:40.420
phenomenon. When sports fans turn,
00:17:40.420 --> 00:17:42.779
give up on a team, and they turn against that
00:17:42.779 --> 00:17:44.900
team, they kind of think it's their
00:17:44.900 --> 00:17:46.960
hometown team. They love them, but they're,
00:17:46.960 --> 00:17:50.039
these guys are losers, and the bleachers empty
00:17:50.039 --> 00:17:52.619
out, and people just don't go to the games.
00:17:52.619 --> 00:17:54.859
Isn't there kind of a crowd effect where people
00:17:54.859 --> 00:17:57.059
just stop going? They just stop caring.
00:17:57.599 --> 00:17:59.779
They just stop going. They just stop caring.
00:17:59.980 --> 00:18:02.660
And society in that town kind
00:18:02.660 --> 00:18:05.559
of gives permission to each other to stop
00:18:05.559 --> 00:18:08.099
rooting for the team. That's what this feels
00:18:08.099 --> 00:18:11.099
like to me. It feels, for a lot of Republicans,
00:18:11.420 --> 00:18:16.099
they now have permission to turn. If you see
00:18:16.099 --> 00:18:19.740
the approval rating dropping, it has a snowball
00:18:19.740 --> 00:18:22.839
effect where you look at it and you think, wow,
00:18:23.059 --> 00:18:26.460
at 32 percent, lots of other conservatives
00:18:26.460 --> 00:18:29.039
are now turning against Trump. They have to be,
00:18:29.039 --> 00:18:33.359
because the country's 50-50, right? So maybe
00:18:33.359 --> 00:18:36.500
it makes you... Maybe if Trump
00:18:36.500 --> 00:18:40.559
was at 55, you're, oh, I'm good. That's
00:18:40.559 --> 00:18:42.839
half, more than half the country. He was
00:18:42.839 --> 00:18:47.059
never at that. He was like 45, 47. But at that
00:18:47.059 --> 00:18:48.619
point, you're, well, that's half the country,
00:18:48.619 --> 00:18:50.740
and I'm half the country. I'm a Republican. But
00:18:50.740 --> 00:18:53.819
at this point, you start to think, huh, the tide's
00:18:53.819 --> 00:18:56.700
running out. Maybe I should abandon ship, too.
00:18:56.700 --> 00:18:59.619
I do know what you mean. So
00:18:59.619 --> 00:19:01.619
I am not a big fan of sports. Chess is
00:19:01.619 --> 00:19:04.839
a sport. Well, I define it as a sport. Oh, I
00:19:04.839 --> 00:19:06.660
thought you liked football, but team sports, not
00:19:06.660 --> 00:19:09.940
a huge fan of. I do like football. Yeah,
00:19:10.799 --> 00:19:12.940
I do like football. I do like football, and I can
00:19:12.940 --> 00:19:15.359
be caught watching basketball on a random occasion,
00:19:15.359 --> 00:19:17.759
or at the very least I can enjoy the sports.
00:19:17.759 --> 00:19:20.839
So fair enough. I accept that. Yeah, I agree with
00:19:20.839 --> 00:19:24.700
you. The reason that people fight so hard
00:19:24.700 --> 00:19:27.119
for high approval ratings is because they like
00:19:27.119 --> 00:19:28.960
to be able to say, well, look at all of these
00:19:28.960 --> 00:19:31.380
people that care about me and back
00:19:31.380 --> 00:19:33.240
me and support me. And there's some kind of weird
00:19:33.240 --> 00:19:35.460
effect with human beings where if a crowd backs
00:19:35.460 --> 00:19:37.980
something, then that somehow gives it some kind
00:19:37.980 --> 00:19:41.259
of legitimacy. It's not real, but it's just the
00:19:41.259 --> 00:19:42.900
way it works. Maybe just because we
00:19:42.900 --> 00:19:44.480
have higher numbers, you have a higher military,
00:19:44.480 --> 00:19:46.259
and how your military by definition can usually
00:19:46.259 --> 00:19:48.779
win wars. Maybe it's that, some kind of psychological
00:19:48.779 --> 00:19:51.940
thing. But there's an odd effect of a crowd giving
00:19:51.940 --> 00:19:54.619
legitimacy to something, even if the crowd is
00:19:54.619 --> 00:19:57.980
wrong. It still gives it legitimacy. The mandate
00:19:57.980 --> 00:20:00.900
of heaven, right? Yeah, yeah. The mandate of
00:20:00.900 --> 00:20:02.559
heaven. That's the Chinese thing, right? Well,
00:20:02.660 --> 00:20:05.059
it's, look, it doesn't matter if we have
00:20:05.059 --> 00:20:10.039
this big-D democratic state, et cetera. If we
00:20:10.039 --> 00:20:12.160
get 90 or 80% of the population believing that
00:20:12.160 --> 00:20:13.640
we're doing the right thing, but damn it, leave
00:20:13.640 --> 00:20:15.160
us to our devices. We're doing the right thing.
00:20:15.740 --> 00:20:17.640
It's kind of that. And on some level, you give
00:20:17.640 --> 00:20:19.420
them credit for that, right? I give you grace.
00:20:20.240 --> 00:20:21.859
Everybody believes you're doing the right thing.
00:20:21.940 --> 00:20:23.859
I give you grace. The issue with it is when you
00:20:23.859 --> 00:20:26.319
do the wrong thing, how do you change that process,
00:20:26.460 --> 00:20:29.880
right? But that's a side. For Trump, Trump's
00:20:29.880 --> 00:20:33.200
biggest strength in the Republican Party was
00:20:33.200 --> 00:20:36.410
that he had the momentum. If you remember,
00:20:36.410 --> 00:20:38.690
during the elections and everything else, as
00:20:38.690 --> 00:20:41.019
much as people hated him, he had a good 35,
00:20:41.259 --> 00:20:44.140
40% of the Republican Party in lock, that he
00:20:44.140 --> 00:20:46.579
can just move from place to place to place and
00:20:46.579 --> 00:20:50.119
win the elections. And that conferred power in
00:20:50.150 --> 00:20:51.730
the Republican Party from the standpoint of Donald
00:20:51.730 --> 00:20:54.109
Trump. Hence, you get a Congress where you can
00:20:54.109 --> 00:20:56.910
bully, you can browbeat, you can attack. Hell,
00:20:57.009 --> 00:21:00.289
Marjorie Taylor Greene left office. Thomas Massie
00:21:00.289 --> 00:21:04.170
was taken out. Jewish lobby, true, or Zionist
00:21:04.170 --> 00:21:07.150
lobby. But also with Donald Trump screaming and
00:21:07.319 --> 00:21:09.779
yelling at him. Hell, if you remember, Thomas Massie
00:21:09.779 --> 00:21:14.160
even made an ad pretending as if he and Trump
00:21:14.160 --> 00:21:16.700
were still on the same page when obviously they
00:21:16.700 --> 00:21:21.160
weren't, right? That's power, right? What happens
00:21:21.160 --> 00:21:24.400
when you hit 30 approval and everybody knows
00:21:24.400 --> 00:21:28.079
it, and you get 80% of the public saying we hate
00:21:28.079 --> 00:21:30.359
what he's doing on the economy, and the economy
00:21:30.359 --> 00:21:32.480
was the one thing that Donald Trump, he wanted
00:21:32.480 --> 00:21:35.240
many things, but the main thing, the thrust of
00:21:35.240 --> 00:21:38.660
his argument that he wins on. He's now 80% in
00:21:38.660 --> 00:21:42.819
the hole. That looks horrendous, right? And Donald
00:21:42.819 --> 00:21:46.759
Trump is still oblivious to this. And in fact,
00:21:46.779 --> 00:21:48.480
I don't believe he's oblivious at all. I think
00:21:48.480 --> 00:21:49.920
he knows. I don't think he's oblivious either.
00:21:50.200 --> 00:21:52.700
I think he knows how bad this is. And yet he's
00:21:52.700 --> 00:21:55.519
going on the campaign trail. He's doing,
00:21:55.579 --> 00:21:58.539
he's still doing stump speeches, like this was
00:21:58.539 --> 00:22:01.359
his first term, but only in deep, deep, deep
00:22:01.359 --> 00:22:05.059
red districts. That may be true. Right. But he
00:22:05.059 --> 00:22:08.259
is toxic. And he's still doing that shit. And,
00:22:08.259 --> 00:22:11.779
sorry, you are seeing in purple districts some
00:22:11.779 --> 00:22:14.160
Republican candidates who always backed him
00:22:14.160 --> 00:22:16.759
to the hilt in the last two months or so saying,
00:22:16.759 --> 00:22:18.720
Mr. President, thank you so much
00:22:18.720 --> 00:22:22.619
for your support, but it's kind of OK if I got
00:22:22.619 --> 00:22:25.119
this. I'll do this on my own. Yeah, I don't need
00:22:25.119 --> 00:22:27.680
you. Well, Republicans are about to lose Montana.
00:22:28.799 --> 00:22:32.339
That's amazing. That's amazing. I don't
00:22:32.339 --> 00:22:34.500
know if you had a chance to look at what I shared.
00:22:34.579 --> 00:22:38.230
Our governor is in India right now, right now.
00:22:38.750 --> 00:22:42.069
So first Trump goes in and he imports all this
00:22:42.069 --> 00:22:45.410
crap Argentine beef that just screws over Montana
00:22:45.410 --> 00:22:48.849
ranchers. Now our beloved governor is in India
00:22:48.849 --> 00:22:51.069
right now talking about how we need more H-1B
00:22:51.069 --> 00:22:53.430
visa holders and more Indian students to come
00:22:53.430 --> 00:22:57.250
to Montana universities because not enough Montanans
00:22:57.250 --> 00:23:00.450
are going to the schools and stuff. And so instead
00:23:00.450 --> 00:23:04.710
of addressing the actual issues, depressed wages,
00:23:05.410 --> 00:23:09.049
the cost of housing, instead, he's going to go
00:23:09.049 --> 00:23:12.349
to India and bring over more people to put further
00:23:12.349 --> 00:23:15.009
stress on those. I would not be surprised if
00:23:15.009 --> 00:23:17.230
people start burning Greg Gianforte effigies
00:23:17.230 --> 00:23:20.069
in the streets at this point. Well, they shouldn't
00:23:20.069 --> 00:23:22.710
do that. Look. No, they should march
00:23:22.710 --> 00:23:24.829
on Helena and burn the Capitol down.
00:23:24.829 --> 00:23:27.690
That's the full threat of betrayal. What they're
00:23:27.690 --> 00:23:30.910
doing in France right now, I agree with it. It
00:23:30.910 --> 00:23:34.609
should be. This is how you do protests. The idea,
00:23:34.670 --> 00:23:37.549
the idea that, I'm sorry, it annoys me.
00:23:37.789 --> 00:23:40.349
The idea that it's, we don't have enough
00:23:40.349 --> 00:23:42.779
students in our universities. And the response
00:23:42.779 --> 00:23:44.440
isn't, well, maybe we should make university
00:23:44.440 --> 00:23:46.880
free to try to get more people into the university.
00:23:46.980 --> 00:23:48.920
Hell, if you want to say the government gives
00:23:48.920 --> 00:23:50.799
a stipend in order for people to go, so those
00:23:50.799 --> 00:23:52.960
universities still get money for the people going,
00:23:53.099 --> 00:23:56.200
I don't care. You could do that. Right. You have
00:23:56.200 --> 00:23:57.980
a shortage of nurses. You have a shortage of
00:23:57.980 --> 00:23:59.640
doctors. You have a shortage of all of these
00:23:59.640 --> 00:24:01.180
particular things that we need people to do.
00:24:01.299 --> 00:24:03.559
And yet the issue is not that you don't have
00:24:03.559 --> 00:24:05.859
enough people in your country to do them. You
00:24:05.859 --> 00:24:07.920
don't have enough people qualified to do them.
00:24:08.000 --> 00:24:10.619
And I would argue, in large part, probably because
00:24:10.619 --> 00:24:12.460
they can't afford to go to school, or going to
00:24:12.460 --> 00:24:14.759
school is such an exorbitant cost that it doesn't
00:24:14.759 --> 00:24:16.859
necessarily make sense in the context of their
00:24:16.859 --> 00:24:20.440
life. Exactly. It's a great place to live, but
00:24:20.440 --> 00:24:22.539
you can't make a living here. Yeah. And so his
00:24:22.539 --> 00:24:23.839
response is we need to get people from India.
00:24:24.230 --> 00:24:26.869
Obviously, that's a solution. That's obviously
00:24:26.869 --> 00:24:31.930
the solution. It got so bad, the U.S.
00:24:31.950 --> 00:24:34.289
ambassador to India had to turn off the comments
00:24:34.289 --> 00:24:39.390
on his post because he was getting roasted. Now,
00:24:39.430 --> 00:24:43.289
God bless him. Lucas, our representative here
00:24:43.289 --> 00:24:45.490
in Evergreen, where I am, I invited him to the
00:24:45.490 --> 00:24:47.880
show. I haven't heard back from an email yet. Said
00:24:47.880 --> 00:24:50.519
that he is going to vote against everything that
00:24:50.519 --> 00:24:52.619
the Republican Party goes for. He's pulling a
00:24:52.619 --> 00:24:54.519
full Thomas Massie, going completely. He's a
00:24:54.519 --> 00:24:57.039
Republican. He's a Republican. He's a Republican.
00:24:57.380 --> 00:25:00.430
And he's a pox on them. Complete betrayal.
00:25:00.589 --> 00:25:04.769
And he's right. H-1B visas are not popular
00:25:04.769 --> 00:25:09.269
anywhere, including... No, there goes Ted. He's
00:25:09.269 --> 00:25:11.869
got that magic mouse. He swipes and it goes away.
00:25:12.109 --> 00:25:14.289
Oh, it goes away. I got to be honest with you,
00:25:14.309 --> 00:25:16.210
Robby. I don't believe in a Republican. I think
00:25:16.210 --> 00:25:18.940
he's saying this now. We'll see what he does
00:25:18.940 --> 00:25:21.599
if he gets in office. Yeah, we'll see. I am
00:25:21.599 --> 00:25:24.539
very, I am deeply skeptical. I'm skeptical. Yeah,
00:25:24.539 --> 00:25:26.059
he's not going to vote against the military
00:25:26.059 --> 00:25:29.299
budget or something, right? Yeah, well, no, but
00:25:29.299 --> 00:25:32.460
no, he's not representing the Congress. No, he's
00:25:32.460 --> 00:25:35.259
not. He's not a rep. He's not a representative
00:25:35.259 --> 00:25:37.180
to Congress. He's our representative to Helena
00:25:37.180 --> 00:25:38.960
in the district. Oh, he's our state rep.
00:25:38.960 --> 00:25:44.190
He's my state rep. Okay, yeah. The
00:25:44.190 --> 00:25:46.849
Democrat Forsyth, I invited him onto the show,
00:25:46.869 --> 00:25:48.289
too. I haven't heard back from him. I'm going
00:25:48.289 --> 00:25:50.569
to vote Democrat this time. Me. Yours truly.
00:25:50.730 --> 00:25:53.190
I'm voting Democrat as a great, big, gigantic
00:25:53.190 --> 00:25:56.910
fuck you to the Republican Party. But Democrats
00:25:56.910 --> 00:25:58.630
in Montana are a little bit different than Democrats
00:25:58.630 --> 00:26:02.119
in, let's say, California, right? Oh, yeah. No,
00:26:02.140 --> 00:26:04.039
they're blue dog Democrats. They are
00:26:04.039 --> 00:26:06.619
conservative Democrats. No, definitely got more
00:26:06.619 --> 00:26:08.779
of a populist bent, but as far as letting dudes
00:26:08.779 --> 00:26:10.480
in dresses in the bathrooms, that's not going
00:26:10.480 --> 00:26:13.019
to happen. Gun control is off the table. So no,
00:26:13.039 --> 00:26:16.279
these are not... These are your old-school
00:26:16.279 --> 00:26:18.980
Dixiecrats or blue dog Democrats. They're conservative
00:26:18.980 --> 00:26:21.640
Democrats, more populist, but definitely not
00:26:21.640 --> 00:26:31.380
woke. Okay. Ted, can you hear me? Yeah, yeah, I
00:26:31.380 --> 00:26:33.660
can hear you. Sorry, I was trying to
00:26:33.660 --> 00:26:36.319
work on a little tech thing. Okay, which is,
00:26:36.319 --> 00:26:38.160
I gotta be honest with you. Do you get the
00:26:38.160 --> 00:26:42.910
sense that this is a Tea Party, a Tea
00:26:42.910 --> 00:26:45.150
Party here? When the Tea Party
00:26:45.150 --> 00:26:46.890
came in, John Boehner, there's a famous quote with
00:26:46.890 --> 00:26:50.529
John Boehner. Says he went out to one of the rallies
00:26:50.529 --> 00:26:54.569
and he saw how the people were just revved
00:26:54.569 --> 00:26:58.230
up, and he said they are pissed off. He said, we're
00:26:58.230 --> 00:27:01.509
going to win. He said, when they're pissed off,
00:27:01.529 --> 00:27:02.710
we're going to fucking win, or something like
00:27:02.710 --> 00:27:04.230
that. But he dropped the F-bomb, basically saying,
00:27:04.329 --> 00:27:06.710
we are going to kill it this year. These people
00:27:06.710 --> 00:27:09.309
are pissed off. They're ready to go. Is that
00:27:09.309 --> 00:27:11.250
what we're looking at? And what's sad about this,
00:27:11.369 --> 00:27:14.750
it's not even they're pissed off and there's
00:27:14.750 --> 00:27:18.390
somebody to harness. That's exactly what I was
00:27:18.390 --> 00:27:20.390
going to say. That sucks. That's my answer. That
00:27:20.390 --> 00:27:23.410
sucks. My answer is that the people who
00:27:23.410 --> 00:27:25.990
are going to benefit here, it's sort of...
00:27:26.440 --> 00:27:30.920
It's sort of if you're dating a girl and
00:27:30.920 --> 00:27:34.640
she leaves you for a great guy. She leaves
00:27:34.640 --> 00:27:38.039
you for Keanu Reeves. You're, fair is fair.
00:27:38.339 --> 00:27:41.119
He's better than me. And it speaks highly of
00:27:41.119 --> 00:27:43.160
me, in a way, that I was dating a girl who ended
00:27:43.160 --> 00:27:46.119
up with Keanu Reeves. But if she leaves you for
00:27:46.119 --> 00:27:51.539
some degenerate opioid seller, you're, what
00:27:51.539 --> 00:27:55.089
does that say about me? And also, he
00:27:55.089 --> 00:27:57.769
doesn't deserve to benefit from the breakup of
00:27:57.769 --> 00:27:59.950
our relationship. Right. He doesn't deserve
00:27:59.950 --> 00:28:02.269
her or anyone. And that's kind of what's
00:28:02.269 --> 00:28:04.710
going on with the Democrats. They don't
00:28:04.710 --> 00:28:06.670
deserve this. They're going to... They're
00:28:06.670 --> 00:28:08.890
definitely going to kill it. The House
00:28:08.890 --> 00:28:13.450
is a given. The Senate is certainly
00:28:13.450 --> 00:28:17.259
to be conservative, likelier than not. Right.
00:28:17.319 --> 00:28:20.640
Shall we say that? So, and then, obviously,
00:28:20.640 --> 00:28:24.119
next year, and watch this. In late
00:28:24.119 --> 00:28:26.599
November and December, all we're going to hear
00:28:26.599 --> 00:28:29.700
the Democrats say is, we're awesome. The
00:28:29.700 --> 00:28:32.420
American people have handed us the reins. It's
00:28:32.420 --> 00:28:34.960
because they believed in our message, to which
00:28:34.960 --> 00:28:38.339
I say, what message? You don't have a message.
00:28:38.380 --> 00:28:41.619
Right. Literally, can you tell me, can
00:28:41.619 --> 00:28:44.420
anybody tell me, what is the Democratic
00:28:44.420 --> 00:28:48.750
agenda for 2027? Okay, they're going
00:28:48.750 --> 00:28:51.869
to investigate Donald Trump, and they're
00:28:51.869 --> 00:28:53.509
going to go after him, and they're going to subpoena
00:28:53.509 --> 00:28:56.250
him. Great. But what are they going to do about
00:28:56.250 --> 00:28:58.809
health care? What are they going to do about affordability,
00:28:58.809 --> 00:29:00.470
the issue of the day? What are they going to do
00:29:00.470 --> 00:29:02.829
about inflation? What are they going to do about
00:29:02.829 --> 00:29:06.410
trade? What are they going to do about the wars?
00:29:06.450 --> 00:29:08.390
Nobody knows. They haven't even said
00:29:08.390 --> 00:29:10.170
that they would end the Iran war if they had
00:29:10.170 --> 00:29:12.049
a chance. Not that they're getting
00:29:12.049 --> 00:29:14.049
into the White House next year. But
00:29:14.049 --> 00:29:15.930
they could certainly say we're going to turn
00:29:15.930 --> 00:29:18.069
off the spigot and turn off all military spending
00:29:18.069 --> 00:29:20.369
until the war comes to an end. That's how the
00:29:20.369 --> 00:29:23.130
Vietnam War came to an end.
00:29:23.170 --> 00:29:25.029
They could do all sorts of things. They haven't
00:29:25.029 --> 00:29:28.390
even promised or mentioned the possibility of
00:29:28.390 --> 00:29:31.329
these things. They don't deserve the big win
00:29:31.329 --> 00:29:35.420
they're about to get. And that sucks. Agreed.
00:29:36.109 --> 00:29:39.490
Agree. There's no... They've done nothing,
00:29:39.490 --> 00:29:42.809
and this is the Nancy Pelosi thing. When Nancy
00:29:42.809 --> 00:29:45.880
Pelosi was, well, they'll come back. Yeah, well,
00:29:45.880 --> 00:29:48.880
and she's right. She's right. And of course,
00:29:48.900 --> 00:29:51.000
the thing is, the same thing is going to happen
00:29:51.000 --> 00:29:54.460
in two to four to six years when the Democrats
00:29:54.460 --> 00:29:58.019
disappoint everyone. And then people like Robby
00:29:58.019 --> 00:30:00.019
are going to say, I'm going to send the
00:30:00.019 --> 00:30:03.180
Democrats a big message. Fuck you. I'm voting
00:30:03.180 --> 00:30:06.859
Republican. And so it goes, over and over and
00:30:06.859 --> 00:30:09.700
over. And when she said that, it's one of those
00:30:09.700 --> 00:30:12.730
things where you have to grudgingly
00:30:12.730 --> 00:30:16.009
agree. It's, I don't want to agree with that,
00:30:16.289 --> 00:30:18.190
and yet you're stuck with the agreement of it,
00:30:18.190 --> 00:30:20.670
which is why I always say, just don't vote.
00:30:20.670 --> 00:30:23.869
Voter boycott would be the way to go if we could
00:30:23.869 --> 00:30:25.930
get enough people to do it. Can you imagine if
00:30:25.930 --> 00:30:28.490
90% of the vote... Let's just say the voter turnout,
00:30:28.490 --> 00:30:30.730
this will not happen, but imagine if the voter
00:30:30.730 --> 00:30:33.210
turnout in an election, and let's say a midterm
00:30:33.210 --> 00:30:35.410
election or a presidential election, was eight
00:30:35.410 --> 00:30:38.670
percent. That was the national turnout.
00:30:38.670 --> 00:30:40.450
This would be an international crisis.
00:30:40.529 --> 00:30:43.289
You'd have people meeting at the UN and the EU
00:30:43.289 --> 00:30:46.170
being, clearly the American people do not
00:30:46.170 --> 00:30:48.509
believe in their government. Maybe we need to
00:30:48.509 --> 00:30:51.849
invade and liberate them. You can tell by the
00:30:51.849 --> 00:30:54.630
fact that nobody votes. The
00:30:54.630 --> 00:31:00.089
point is, or if 8% of the public voted, again,
00:31:00.150 --> 00:31:03.089
imagine all the people who are powerful
00:31:03.089 --> 00:31:06.509
and/or rich and/or connected were,
00:31:06.509 --> 00:31:08.809
there's room for a new party here. We
00:31:08.809 --> 00:31:12.869
could, despite all of the institutional
00:31:12.869 --> 00:31:16.930
barriers, clearly there's an appetite for something
00:31:16.930 --> 00:31:19.470
new on the left, on the right, in the middle. Clearly
00:31:19.470 --> 00:31:21.890
there's an appetite, and that would
00:31:21.890 --> 00:31:23.950
send a message that the marketplace of ideas
00:31:23.950 --> 00:31:26.609
has a vacuum that could be filled. But as long
00:31:26.609 --> 00:31:29.009
as we keep flailing back and forth between these
00:31:29.009 --> 00:31:32.440
two major parties. Yeah, it's hard for anyone
00:31:32.440 --> 00:31:35.240
who wants to start a new party to say, oh, I
00:31:35.240 --> 00:31:38.519
have a chance of making this work. Agree. Well,
00:31:38.599 --> 00:31:43.740
I agree about that, as long as people
00:31:43.740 --> 00:31:45.700
continue to put their energy into these things,
00:31:45.799 --> 00:31:47.960
that these things are going to believe that they
00:31:47.960 --> 00:31:50.240
have some level of legitimacy in order to keep
00:31:50.240 --> 00:31:52.480
operating. And I will tell you, though, if only
00:31:52.480 --> 00:31:55.299
8% of the population voted, or let's say 10%
00:31:55.299 --> 00:31:57.740
to round the number off, I still think the
00:31:57.740 --> 00:31:59.440
political parties would say we won a resounding
00:31:59.440 --> 00:32:03.099
victory. The people who did vote chose
00:32:03.099 --> 00:32:05.779
us. Yeah, and our system, and it would be absurd,
00:32:05.779 --> 00:32:09.019
right? And yet I strongly suspect they would still
00:32:09.019 --> 00:32:11.140
try to be, but I don't think it, but it wouldn't
00:32:11.140 --> 00:32:13.259
work. And the reason I say that is,
00:32:13.259 --> 00:32:15.660
look at countries, authoritarian
00:32:15.660 --> 00:32:18.400
dictatorships like Saddam Hussein's Iraq under
00:32:18.400 --> 00:32:20.920
Saddam Hussein, where it's, or
00:32:20.920 --> 00:32:23.779
Kim Jong-un. They all have elections, right?
00:32:23.779 --> 00:32:26.180
So those countries have elections, and they always
00:32:26.180 --> 00:32:29.190
are, thank you for my win with 99%
00:32:29.190 --> 00:32:33.650
of the vote. But why do they go through this,
00:32:33.769 --> 00:32:36.789
right? It's, North Korea is a dictatorship.
00:32:37.710 --> 00:32:41.329
It's a one-party rule. And there's no way to
00:32:41.329 --> 00:32:43.109
know how popular they are because there's no
00:32:43.109 --> 00:32:45.049
polling or anything, and there's no free press.
00:32:45.430 --> 00:32:49.730
But the point is they go through this because
00:32:49.730 --> 00:32:52.950
it's for domestic and international consumption.
00:32:53.329 --> 00:32:56.339
Look, people like us. That's why they vote for
00:32:56.339 --> 00:32:59.079
us. And that's important. That legitimacy,
00:32:59.319 --> 00:33:02.319
it's not an abstraction in that sense. And I
00:33:02.319 --> 00:33:05.720
think the only tool we would have if we really
00:33:05.720 --> 00:33:08.079
hated the two-party system would be to sit on
00:33:08.079 --> 00:33:10.819
our hands and either vote for a third party,
00:33:10.940 --> 00:33:13.920
cast a blank vote, or don't vote at all. Those
00:33:13.920 --> 00:33:17.299
are your options. I don't ever vote for a Democrat
00:33:17.299 --> 00:33:20.220
or a Republican in a contest where I don't want
00:33:20.220 --> 00:33:22.519
to see that Democrat or that Republican win.
00:33:23.849 --> 00:33:26.309
You should wake up in the morning, and if your
00:33:26.309 --> 00:33:29.390
candidate won, you should be happy. If you're,
00:33:29.390 --> 00:33:31.789
the candidate that you voted for was,
00:33:31.890 --> 00:33:34.630
well, oh, well, Hillary Clinton won,
00:33:34.750 --> 00:33:37.549
but at least Donald Trump didn't win. And you're,
00:33:37.549 --> 00:33:41.450
and you voted for her. That sucks. You
00:33:41.450 --> 00:33:43.589
shouldn't have voted for her. And so
00:33:43.589 --> 00:33:45.349
that's why I didn't vote for her. I didn't want
00:33:45.349 --> 00:33:48.150
her to win. I would have been unhappy
00:33:48.150 --> 00:33:51.150
if she won. I was unhappy that Trump won, but
00:33:51.150 --> 00:33:53.269
I was unhappy as soon as Bernie Sanders dropped
00:33:53.269 --> 00:33:56.170
out of the primaries. Then I knew the
00:33:56.170 --> 00:33:58.869
election, the 2016 election, was over for me at
00:33:58.869 --> 00:34:00.950
that point. I was just going to cast a protest
00:34:00.950 --> 00:34:04.900
vote or no vote at all. Agreed. Yeah. I agree
00:34:04.900 --> 00:34:06.819
with everything you said. I felt the same way.
00:34:07.119 --> 00:34:09.619
It was, I don't want her to win. I don't
00:34:09.619 --> 00:34:13.429
want him to win. I can always write Dr. Shiva
00:34:13.429 --> 00:34:17.900
again. Yeah, there you go. Yeah, you would be
00:34:17.900 --> 00:34:20.239
effectively doubling his vote because it's just
00:34:20.239 --> 00:34:24.099
him. I don't think his wife votes for him. But
00:34:24.099 --> 00:34:26.019
he's not in Montana anyway. I don't know who
00:34:26.019 --> 00:34:28.159
the hell he is. Yeah, but you could double his
00:34:28.159 --> 00:34:31.119
national vote. That's true. Yeah, we should have
00:34:31.119 --> 00:34:33.599
him come on. He might be literally the most unpleasant
00:34:33.599 --> 00:34:37.159
person in the United States. So, which is saying something.
00:34:37.239 --> 00:34:39.519
I mean that seriously, with respect. Everybody's
00:34:39.519 --> 00:34:42.530
got to be good at something, and he's good at
00:34:42.530 --> 00:34:50.250
that. All right, here we go. Okay, so Andre,
00:34:50.570 --> 00:34:52.969
hantavirus and diarrhea lettuce, now Russian
00:34:52.969 --> 00:34:56.150
plague, $2. Let's talk about the plague. Well,
00:34:56.170 --> 00:34:59.730
what did he say? He said the hantavirus and diarrhea
00:34:59.730 --> 00:35:02.929
lettuce from Taco Bell, and now
00:35:02.929 --> 00:35:06.750
Russian plague. Oh, Jesus. So the plague. So
00:35:06.750 --> 00:35:11.150
there's an outbreak. This happened in Irkutsk
00:35:11.150 --> 00:35:13.769
Oblast, which is, if you're not familiar with
00:35:13.769 --> 00:35:16.750
Russian geography, if you look at a map of
00:35:16.750 --> 00:35:20.510
Russia, it's just north. And it's, imagine
00:35:20.510 --> 00:35:24.110
Mongolia. It's just north of there in the middle.
00:35:24.590 --> 00:35:28.389
So it's in a very remote part of Asian Russia.
00:35:28.829 --> 00:35:33.050
Lots of Asian people.
00:35:33.050 --> 00:35:36.690
People who look Asian are Asian. Effectively,
00:35:36.690 --> 00:35:40.530
partly and mostly ethnically Mongol or Manchu.
00:35:41.730 --> 00:35:43.809
Anyway, this is a remote place for obvious
00:35:43.809 --> 00:35:46.889
reasons. This lab is an anti-plague research
00:35:46.889 --> 00:35:50.530
facility. And lest people who hate Russia and
00:35:50.530 --> 00:35:54.730
are, oh, yeah, anti-plague. Plague is from
00:35:54.730 --> 00:35:58.230
the former Soviet Union. Plague originated in
00:35:58.230 --> 00:36:01.550
the Middle Ages in modern-day Kazakhstan and
00:36:01.550 --> 00:36:04.230
then traveled its way along the Silk Road. So
00:36:04.230 --> 00:36:07.610
there are plague outbreaks all the time. There are
00:36:07.610 --> 00:36:12.590
three kinds of plague. There's bubonic, the famous
00:36:12.590 --> 00:36:16.010
one that devastated Europe and killed about half
00:36:16.010 --> 00:36:19.210
to three quarters of its population twice. There's
00:36:19.210 --> 00:36:21.570
pneumonic, which is what this is, which means
00:36:21.570 --> 00:36:25.199
it goes after your lungs. And this one's dangerous
00:36:25.199 --> 00:36:28.800
because it can spread human to human. Bubonic
00:36:28.800 --> 00:36:32.699
is only from flea bites from infected rats. You
00:36:32.699 --> 00:36:35.300
can't get it from, if a person has
00:36:35.300 --> 00:36:38.460
bubonic plague, you can't get it from them directly.
00:36:39.519 --> 00:36:42.599
But pneumonic plague is,
00:36:42.599 --> 00:36:44.900
like COVID. You can, if you cough,
00:36:45.500 --> 00:36:49.260
you can spread it. And then there's a third kind
00:36:49.260 --> 00:36:52.519
of plague, which is basically the blood-borne
00:36:52.519 --> 00:36:56.599
plague. That also cannot be spread human to human,
00:36:56.639 --> 00:36:58.880
I guess, unless you were sharing needles or something
00:36:58.880 --> 00:37:03.460
like that. So this one is not bubonic plague.
00:37:03.679 --> 00:37:06.539
This is pneumonic. Pneumonic is far more dangerous
00:37:06.539 --> 00:37:08.940
because it spreads human to human. All of them
00:37:08.940 --> 00:37:11.500
are treatable with antibiotics. If you get antibiotics
00:37:11.500 --> 00:37:13.880
into your system right away, you'll be fine.
00:37:14.199 --> 00:37:17.739
But the point is, in remote rural areas, this
00:37:17.739 --> 00:37:20.019
could be a problem. So the point is Russia has
00:37:20.019 --> 00:37:23.460
to have anti-plague research facilities. About
00:37:23.460 --> 00:37:26.019
1,000 to 2,000 people die globally from plague
00:37:26.019 --> 00:37:28.980
outbreaks. Every now and then there's one
00:37:28.980 --> 00:37:32.039
or two in Arizona. There's some in Kazakhstan,
00:37:32.239 --> 00:37:37.000
which is the source
00:37:37.000 --> 00:37:40.300
of plague, as I said. So anyway, the thing is,
00:37:40.380 --> 00:37:43.059
I'll give Donald Trump credit here. He said that
00:37:43.059 --> 00:37:46.079
if the Russian Federation needs any assistance
00:37:46.079 --> 00:37:48.739
whatsoever, although I don't know how we do that
00:37:48.739 --> 00:37:51.699
since we're no longer members of the WHO, and
00:37:51.699 --> 00:37:56.179
we no longer, and the CDC has been gutted. I
00:37:56.179 --> 00:37:57.579
don't really know how we do that. But anyway,
00:37:57.659 --> 00:38:00.119
whatever help we could provide, maybe on Twitter,
00:38:00.630 --> 00:38:03.750
we will provide to the Russians. I think the
00:38:03.750 --> 00:38:05.849
Russians probably have this in hand, but this
00:38:05.849 --> 00:38:09.670
female lab worker got it on her somehow and got
00:38:09.670 --> 00:38:11.869
out and then died. So obviously the Russians
00:38:11.869 --> 00:38:14.530
are on top of this, and I don't think they probably
00:38:14.530 --> 00:38:19.119
need any help, but it's worth noting. Yeah, that's
00:38:19.119 --> 00:38:22.300
rough. That's rough. These labs are,
00:38:22.340 --> 00:38:27.389
they're necessary, but it's a necessary danger,
00:38:27.449 --> 00:38:30.380
I suppose. They're doing research.
00:38:30.380 --> 00:38:34.329
But it's always possible, I suppose,
00:38:34.489 --> 00:38:36.989
in any lab that something like this can happen.
00:38:37.449 --> 00:38:40.719
Always. Yeah. Yeah, these
00:38:40.719 --> 00:38:43.739
are obviously extremely dangerous
00:38:43.820 --> 00:38:46.400
bacteria. By the way, has it spread
00:38:46.400 --> 00:38:49.179
to anyone else? Is it just her? It's not known
00:38:49.179 --> 00:38:53.110
to have spread to anyone else yet. Good. Because
00:38:53.110 --> 00:38:54.969
she could have gone to Starbucks after work.
00:38:55.250 --> 00:38:58.329
But I imagine that the Russian government
00:38:58.329 --> 00:39:02.269
has the area quarantined and cut off. And then
00:39:02.309 --> 00:39:04.809
they're probably dudes
00:39:04.809 --> 00:39:07.369
in hazmat suits all over the place,
00:39:07.369 --> 00:39:09.570
trying to figure out exactly how far this went.
00:39:09.989 --> 00:39:12.429
That's why you do this in remote areas.
00:39:13.780 --> 00:39:17.340
Very true. As opposed to a wet market. You had
00:39:17.340 --> 00:39:21.019
Wuhan next to the pangolin display. Right, right.
00:39:21.539 --> 00:39:23.539
It's, yeah, I'm going to leave work
00:39:23.539 --> 00:39:25.820
and go to Starbucks, and of course everybody
00:39:25.820 --> 00:39:28.980
that's in there, 100 people, let's say 10 get infected.
00:39:28.980 --> 00:39:30.900
Okay, so 10 people now have it, and they go and
00:39:30.900 --> 00:39:34.280
they... The numbers, the ease at which
00:39:34.280 --> 00:39:36.739
sometimes these things can spread, it's just breathtaking.
00:39:36.739 --> 00:39:38.719
COVID, the spread of COVID, was breathtaking,
00:39:38.719 --> 00:39:43.679
and it didn't matter what you did, almost.
00:39:43.679 --> 00:39:44.920
There are things, I suppose, that you could
00:39:44.920 --> 00:39:46.760
do to push the percentages one way or the other,
00:39:46.760 --> 00:39:50.460
but yeah, we were just all... It was a major
00:39:50.460 --> 00:39:53.630
flu 100 years ago. A few years ago, I hope, I
00:39:53.630 --> 00:39:55.190
don't know if this ever happened or not, but
00:39:55.190 --> 00:39:56.849
European researchers are talking about going
00:39:56.849 --> 00:39:59.909
into the plague pits of plague victims who are
00:39:59.909 --> 00:40:02.349
buried in the city walls. So that's what, they've
00:40:02.349 --> 00:40:04.369
entombed them in the walls. Of course, now they're
00:40:04.369 --> 00:40:06.230
mummified. They're talking about going in there,
00:40:06.250 --> 00:40:09.309
getting that bacterial strain that was the Black
00:40:09.309 --> 00:40:11.989
Death and then trying to reverse engineer it
00:40:11.989 --> 00:40:13.789
and then see if they can weaponize it. Basically
00:40:13.789 --> 00:40:16.429
gain of function, which Anthony Fauci would be
00:40:16.429 --> 00:40:18.150
all about. I hope that the Russians are not playing
00:40:18.150 --> 00:40:20.590
that game. Yeah, when archaeologists have...
00:40:20.760 --> 00:40:23.699
Archaeologists have gotten the plague from digging
00:40:23.699 --> 00:40:27.280
up those pits from hundreds of years ago. Yeah,
00:40:27.300 --> 00:40:30.079
and people just go in there and they start playing
00:40:30.079 --> 00:40:32.840
God with things. They're better off left buried.
00:40:33.320 --> 00:40:37.619
Yeah. It's terrifying. They're trying
00:40:37.619 --> 00:40:40.019
to find, okay, is there an identifier for
00:40:40.019 --> 00:40:42.420
Russian in genetics that we can engineer a virus
00:40:42.420 --> 00:40:44.300
for that was specifically targeted to one particular
00:40:44.300 --> 00:40:46.059
group as opposed to another group? They
00:40:46.059 --> 00:40:47.760
think of shit like that, right? They do think
00:40:47.760 --> 00:40:50.380
of shit like that. I know, but it's so easy.
00:40:50.519 --> 00:40:54.119
In the '70s, they wanted to do, the U.S. government
00:40:54.119 --> 00:40:57.079
had a biological research facility that was trying
00:40:57.079 --> 00:41:01.019
to mutate house flies. And their plan was to
00:41:01.019 --> 00:41:03.619
drop giant mutant house flies over the Soviet
00:41:03.619 --> 00:41:07.519
Union. And the plan, the idea, and I kid you
00:41:07.519 --> 00:41:10.699
not, was that the Russian people would be so
00:41:10.699 --> 00:41:14.139
terrorized that when World War III came, the
00:41:14.139 --> 00:41:16.019
U.S. Marines could just march in and everyone would
00:41:16.019 --> 00:41:18.599
be hiding inside their houses while the giant
00:41:18.599 --> 00:41:20.840
flies were buzzing around. And I'm, I think
00:41:20.840 --> 00:41:23.280
the Russians own tennis rackets, right?
00:41:23.300 --> 00:41:25.780
They could just go out and whack them. It would
00:41:25.780 --> 00:41:27.840
probably be fun for them. And I was also,
00:41:27.960 --> 00:41:31.179
you don't know Russians, do you? And then also,
00:41:31.239 --> 00:41:33.980
I was, they would fly, right? They could
00:41:33.980 --> 00:41:36.019
go all over Europe. They could come to the United
00:41:36.019 --> 00:41:38.440
States. That wouldn't be good either. It was
00:41:38.440 --> 00:41:40.019
so stupid. Yeah, what stops them from staying
00:41:40.019 --> 00:41:43.099
in Russia? Stuff that our
00:41:43.389 --> 00:41:46.949
military used to do, some weird shit. Yeah, yeah,
00:41:46.949 --> 00:41:49.750
and I'm sure God knows what they're up to now,
00:41:49.750 --> 00:41:51.949
but I'm sure that part hasn't come to an end
00:41:51.949 --> 00:41:54.170
at all. Did you ever, Stubblebine, the guy
00:41:54.170 --> 00:41:59.920
who wanted warrior priests, that they
00:41:59.920 --> 00:42:02.059
have, they walk into countries holding
00:42:02.059 --> 00:42:07.039
lambs, stuff that our military used
00:42:07.039 --> 00:42:10.760
to do, some weird shit. They're so weird. Just filming.
00:42:10.760 --> 00:42:13.099
Really, Robby still doesn't get it. You being
00:42:13.099 --> 00:42:15.159
so against immigration just makes you as an individual
00:42:15.159 --> 00:42:18.380
look bad. Your government wants immigration. Immigrants,
00:42:18.380 --> 00:42:23.710
Robby. Yeah, but just because government wants
00:42:23.710 --> 00:42:25.610
it doesn't mean that... Who cares? But my
00:42:25.610 --> 00:42:28.329
government wants to kill, wants to kill
00:42:28.329 --> 00:42:30.969
Russians, and yeah, and it wants to kill, it wants
00:42:30.969 --> 00:42:34.210
to kill cousins. I don't care what they want. Yeah,
00:42:34.210 --> 00:42:36.050
I think I've been pretty
00:42:36.050 --> 00:42:40.440
clear on this. I don't blame the
00:42:40.440 --> 00:42:43.179
migrant. I don't blame the immigrant. I get it.
00:42:43.199 --> 00:42:45.139
I would want to get here, too. I want to go and
00:42:45.139 --> 00:42:48.440
be able to suck off the tit of a developed economy,
00:42:48.579 --> 00:42:51.280
too, if I had the opportunity when I was over
00:42:51.280 --> 00:42:53.719
there. I blame my government for allowing this.
00:42:53.820 --> 00:42:56.699
I blame my government and the tech overlords
00:42:56.699 --> 00:42:59.000
for creating this problem. I blame my government
00:42:59.000 --> 00:43:01.420
for hating me. I blame my government for all
00:43:01.420 --> 00:43:05.579
this stuff. And that's the whole issue. It's
00:43:05.579 --> 00:43:08.179
pretty clear. Sucking off the tit of a developed
00:43:08.179 --> 00:43:12.710
economy. Yes. Let's keep rolling. We got lots
00:43:12.710 --> 00:43:14.829
more to talk about. Okay, okay, okay. All right.
00:43:15.190 --> 00:43:18.909
Those developed economies, though, sucked off
00:43:18.909 --> 00:43:21.070
the tits of those countries in order for those
00:43:21.070 --> 00:43:22.789
developed countries to be what they are, meaning
00:43:22.789 --> 00:43:24.610
the starting capital for any developed nation
00:43:24.610 --> 00:43:27.489
came at the expense of those, quote, developing
00:43:27.489 --> 00:43:32.059
countries. Or do you disagree with that? I think
00:43:32.059 --> 00:43:34.519
it's a bit more complicated than that. Was there
00:43:34.519 --> 00:43:40.889
definitely an exploitation? For sure. Was there
00:43:40.889 --> 00:43:43.889
a mutual gain? Yeah. The life expectancy in what's
00:43:43.889 --> 00:43:48.010
now southern Africa was 30 during the days
00:43:48.010 --> 00:43:50.429
of British colonialism up to the '70s. Now it's
00:43:50.429 --> 00:43:54.130
collapsing. Thank you for the Brits. The Brits
00:43:54.130 --> 00:43:55.969
were there doing them a favor. The Brits could
00:43:55.969 --> 00:43:57.690
have stayed where they were. White man's burden,
00:43:57.909 --> 00:44:00.929
Jamarl. For sure. White man's burden. What I'm
00:44:00.929 --> 00:44:04.469
saying is, it's so hard on the white man helping
00:44:04.469 --> 00:44:10.809
these... Whatever, the Brits, the French, the Amsterdam,
00:44:10.809 --> 00:44:13.110
all of these people, the Belgians. Didn't fit it,
00:44:13.110 --> 00:44:15.489
meaning the very fact that they were able to
00:44:15.489 --> 00:44:17.250
be developed, quote unquote, came as a direct result
00:44:17.250 --> 00:44:19.369
of the capital that they stole and the lives
00:44:19.369 --> 00:44:21.809
that they killed. Yeah, and the resources, and more
00:44:21.809 --> 00:44:23.670
to the point, they had no business being there.
00:44:23.670 --> 00:44:27.309
It wasn't their place. Nobody actually, nobody
00:44:27.309 --> 00:44:31.949
needed them. Whatever. Okay, just nobody asked
00:44:31.949 --> 00:44:34.389
me to open up the borders and bring in millions
00:44:34.389 --> 00:44:38.590
of people to drive down wages. So, guys, we have
00:44:38.590 --> 00:44:40.829
15 minutes left to do. That's just a reminder.
00:44:40.829 --> 00:44:44.170
This is a one-hour show. We go till 10.
00:44:44.170 --> 00:44:48.630
It's 9:45. Okay, so, F you. So thanks for
00:44:48.630 --> 00:44:51.630
the dono. Cash is getting married to his Mossad
00:44:51.630 --> 00:44:54.710
country sensation girlfriend. I must have been...
00:44:54.710 --> 00:44:57.610
Love at first pegging. She uses the Valhalla
00:44:57.610 --> 00:45:01.750
strap-on of the gods. The well-dressed nerd
00:45:01.750 --> 00:45:04.349
thanks for the dollar, or drag their asses out
00:45:04.349 --> 00:45:07.789
and burn it down, maybe get ice cream after. Okay.
00:45:07.789 --> 00:45:12.010
Did P.W. Walker... Did this person die of
00:45:12.010 --> 00:45:16.389
plague or die with plague? Died of plague. Have
00:45:16.389 --> 00:45:19.460
to ask now that COVID, and those with measles
00:45:19.460 --> 00:45:21.800
deaths in Pennsylvania. By the way, New York
00:45:21.800 --> 00:45:23.900
Governor Kathy Hochul has now declared a state
00:45:23.900 --> 00:45:26.519
of emergency for New York State in the measles
00:45:26.519 --> 00:45:29.460
outbreak. Really? Because it's spread across
00:45:29.460 --> 00:45:35.119
the border from Pennsylvania. Yeah, so Nietzsche
00:45:35.119 --> 00:45:38.579
says 28-year-old female lab technician Daria
00:45:38.579 --> 00:45:42.079
Shipilova died in Siberia after a lab accident
00:45:42.079 --> 00:45:45.500
involving a broken test tube containing plague
00:45:45.500 --> 00:45:48.750
bacteria. Can you imagine that feeling where
00:45:48.750 --> 00:45:52.460
you're just, wait, oh, you got it? Yeah,
00:45:52.519 --> 00:45:55.400
I got it. Oh, fuck. Or you stick yourself with
00:45:55.400 --> 00:45:57.119
a needle. That's the other shit, right? Yeah,
00:45:57.139 --> 00:46:00.199
that happens. Definitely. Also, or if you're,
00:46:00.219 --> 00:46:02.199
but I guess she didn't have
00:46:02.199 --> 00:46:05.099
her hazmat. Her hazmat suit must have been compromised,
00:46:05.099 --> 00:46:09.920
or she wasn't wearing it. Okay, so let's keep
00:46:09.920 --> 00:46:13.800
moving here. So Trump suggested, here he is at
00:46:13.800 --> 00:46:17.170
32%. The anti-immigrant people. Right here.
00:46:17.170 --> 00:46:20.610
Here's my answer. Trump says. There you go. Right
00:46:20.610 --> 00:46:21.909
there. Trump at a rally. That's going to solve
00:46:21.909 --> 00:46:25.210
the immigration problem. Quickly, guys. Trump
00:46:25.210 --> 00:46:27.909
suggested that L.A. and San Diego are expendable.
00:46:27.949 --> 00:46:31.170
And as far as he's concerned, Iran could take
00:46:31.170 --> 00:46:34.230
them out. First of all, Iran can't reach them.
00:46:34.469 --> 00:46:38.230
They're the furthest. I guess the only part
00:46:38.230 --> 00:46:39.989
of the United States that would be harder to
00:46:39.989 --> 00:46:43.889
reach would be Hawaii. Iran doesn't have missiles
00:46:43.889 --> 00:46:46.170
that can even reach Paris. Forget about
00:46:46.170 --> 00:46:51.550
that. But, and of course, people in
00:46:51.550 --> 00:46:54.889
California, Newsom, are, how dare you?
00:46:55.050 --> 00:46:58.449
Now, I do. Of course, Trump is just being Trump,
00:46:58.449 --> 00:47:01.650
and he's trolling. And he's... This
00:47:01.650 --> 00:47:05.289
is just... He's joking. It's maybe
00:47:05.289 --> 00:47:08.690
not a good joke, but it's a joke. It's a halfway
00:47:08.690 --> 00:47:12.800
joke. Yeah. It's a halfway joke.
00:47:12.800 --> 00:47:16.000
There's a huge military base, a Navy base, in San Diego.
00:47:16.039 --> 00:47:19.139
I don't think he'd want to lose that.
00:47:19.159 --> 00:47:23.320
Well, we've lost a lot of military bases. True,
00:47:23.340 --> 00:47:28.539
true, true. What's one more? It's, Iran has
00:47:28.539 --> 00:47:31.480
effectively leveled much of the bases of the
00:47:31.480 --> 00:47:33.679
Persian Gulf. The U.S. military right now is
00:47:33.679 --> 00:47:38.539
not in the Persian Gulf. It's way out. It's in
00:47:38.539 --> 00:47:40.719
Syria, country like Saudi Arabia, Israel, etc.
00:47:40.900 --> 00:47:43.900
So don't misunderstand me. But from the standpoint
00:47:43.900 --> 00:47:46.320
of the boats and the ships and everything else,
00:47:46.320 --> 00:47:50.000
those things are far out. After Iran nearly hit
00:47:50.000 --> 00:47:52.519
them with a ship, and it's very possible that
00:47:52.519 --> 00:47:54.719
Iran did hit them with a missile and they just
00:47:54.719 --> 00:47:56.539
didn't necessarily want to own it. They said,
00:47:56.679 --> 00:47:58.800
okay, we are no longer going to be in this particular
00:47:58.800 --> 00:48:00.579
area. We're going to be much further back. Hence
00:48:00.579 --> 00:48:03.019
Iran saying, well, we need missiles to be able
00:48:03.019 --> 00:48:04.800
to hit further back now because the U.S. military
00:48:04.800 --> 00:48:09.210
has gone further back. Does Trump, would he be
00:48:09.210 --> 00:48:14.659
okay if Los Angeles was hit? Maybe. I don't
00:48:14.659 --> 00:48:17.460
think... I think in reality, no. But look,
00:48:17.460 --> 00:48:20.179
what was interesting to me was that
00:48:20.179 --> 00:48:23.900
California politicians were calling him deranged,
00:48:23.900 --> 00:48:27.219
and I'm, I think that part's true, not
00:48:27.219 --> 00:48:30.139
because of this remark. And I think I'm
00:48:30.139 --> 00:48:31.760
kind of wondering if that's going to start to
00:48:31.760 --> 00:48:36.880
catch on. That should be a refrain. He's
00:48:36.880 --> 00:48:38.940
deranged. He's out of his mind. He's losing it.
00:48:39.000 --> 00:48:41.000
He's mentally ill. And deranged not in a political
00:48:41.000 --> 00:48:43.780
way. Deranged in a personal, psychological, medical
00:48:43.780 --> 00:48:48.500
way. Yes. Yeah. Because I think he is. I think
00:48:48.500 --> 00:48:51.320
he is, too. For fuck's sake, man. We watched Joe
00:48:51.320 --> 00:48:53.579
Biden degrade and disintegrate in that office.
00:48:53.599 --> 00:48:55.820
Every day, he just seemed to be... And here
00:48:55.820 --> 00:48:58.519
we go. Yeah. He just was vanishing, right? This
00:48:58.519 --> 00:49:01.170
is the same. It's the same. And they should call
00:49:01.170 --> 00:49:04.539
it so. Okay, we got to move on. China has opened
00:49:04.539 --> 00:49:09.820
its first foreign military base that was in Asia.
00:49:10.400 --> 00:49:15.059
And this one is in Laos. They opened a base in
00:49:15.059 --> 00:49:20.579
Djibouti back in 2017. So apparently they opened
00:49:20.579 --> 00:49:23.539
a military base and the United States never knew
00:49:23.539 --> 00:49:27.320
they were planning it, financing it, building
00:49:27.320 --> 00:49:31.829
it, nothing. And just suddenly, poof. Oh, by the
00:49:31.829 --> 00:49:35.030
way, we're here. That's a big
00:49:35.030 --> 00:49:38.630
failure of intelligence, I'd say. Yeah, and you
00:49:38.630 --> 00:49:40.829
have to wonder why that large of a failure of
00:49:40.829 --> 00:49:43.530
intelligence. Do you think that the Soviet
00:49:43.530 --> 00:49:45.090
Union would have ever been able to make a base
00:49:45.090 --> 00:49:47.230
that the United States was unaware that the Soviet
00:49:47.230 --> 00:49:52.690
Union was making? No, no, no, right? How does this,
00:49:52.690 --> 00:49:57.829
what time is it? This is about China and
00:49:58.690 --> 00:50:01.010
the U.S. in the way that they're engaging.
00:50:01.150 --> 00:50:03.469
They're not engaging in a similar way as the
00:50:03.469 --> 00:50:06.510
Soviet Union and the U.S. engaged. It feels different.
00:50:06.630 --> 00:50:09.469
It seems different. It looks different. It's
00:50:09.469 --> 00:50:11.750
almost we lost, when the Soviet Union fell,
00:50:11.829 --> 00:50:15.949
we lost the faculty of being locked in in that
00:50:15.949 --> 00:50:19.829
way. Yeah, we're not sharp. I always
00:50:19.829 --> 00:50:21.969
said that it was going to be bad for the U.S.
00:50:21.969 --> 00:50:24.550
that the USSR went out of business. And it has
00:50:24.550 --> 00:50:28.510
been. It's made us flaccid and flabby
00:50:28.510 --> 00:50:31.269
in every respect, obviously, in terms of military,
00:50:31.289 --> 00:50:34.030
our military intelligence. But also,
00:50:34.090 --> 00:50:36.030
in the marketplace of ideas,
00:50:36.030 --> 00:50:38.969
well, Francis Fukuyama now
00:50:38.969 --> 00:50:40.989
says it's the end of history and capitalism has
00:50:40.989 --> 00:50:43.090
triumphed now and forever. Although he rolled
00:50:43.090 --> 00:50:46.190
that back recently, I guess, better 35 years
00:50:46.190 --> 00:50:49.150
late than never. Yeah. But the point is that
00:50:49.150 --> 00:50:52.150
socialism is ascendant once more. That wasn't
00:50:52.150 --> 00:50:54.530
supposed to happen. But the point is that capitalism
00:50:54.530 --> 00:50:59.369
hasn't had to smooth off any of the rough edges
00:50:59.369 --> 00:51:04.769
to provide basic things that human beings need
00:51:04.769 --> 00:51:08.190
in the U.S. and other Western countries. And now
00:51:08.190 --> 00:51:10.409
capitalism is being caught with its pants down.
00:51:10.949 --> 00:51:16.190
Yeah. It's interesting you say capitalism,
00:51:16.269 --> 00:51:20.440
but you're right. Because usually somebody would,
00:51:20.440 --> 00:51:22.380
I'm not saying usually, but you can make
00:51:22.380 --> 00:51:23.980
the argument that it's not just the capitalistic
00:51:23.980 --> 00:51:26.239
thing. The thing that's competing with other
00:51:26.239 --> 00:51:29.340
nations is supposed to be the democratic component.
00:51:29.699 --> 00:51:33.860
Right. But the Soviet Union was literally where
00:51:33.860 --> 00:51:36.340
the Comintern, which was that global headquarters
00:51:36.340 --> 00:51:39.500
of global international communism, was headquartered.
00:51:39.699 --> 00:51:43.800
The Soviet Union gave orders to communist
00:51:43.800 --> 00:51:47.630
parties in places like Cuba. So it's...
00:51:47.630 --> 00:51:51.710
That was literally the symbol of the 20th-century
00:51:51.710 --> 00:51:55.170
socialist project. And it closed. And when that
00:51:55.170 --> 00:51:57.710
happened, there was triumphalism by the capitalists.
00:51:57.710 --> 00:52:00.090
It's, well, we've won, and now we don't have
00:52:00.090 --> 00:52:02.590
to fucking try harder. But it wasn't just that.
00:52:02.670 --> 00:52:06.780
It was also by the... There's a political economy
00:52:06.780 --> 00:52:09.980
at work that was at war in the sense of the Cold
00:52:09.980 --> 00:52:12.440
War. It wasn't just, okay, we have economic systems
00:52:12.440 --> 00:52:14.500
that are fighting each other. It was also, this
00:52:14.500 --> 00:52:16.079
is supposed to be this kind of, quote, authoritarian
00:52:17.309 --> 00:52:19.170
government versus this democratic government,
00:52:19.170 --> 00:52:21.429
and democracy won, and blah, blah, blah. Meaning
00:52:21.429 --> 00:52:23.670
they talk about it. And I guess you can look
00:52:23.670 --> 00:52:25.309
at it through both lenses, but I think it's a political
00:52:25.309 --> 00:52:28.170
economy that oftentimes when you're talking about
00:52:28.170 --> 00:52:29.949
it, you're talking about both. I like the fact
00:52:29.949 --> 00:52:31.489
that you use capitalism because I think that's
00:52:31.489 --> 00:52:33.369
the one that matters more. I think that's the
00:52:33.369 --> 00:52:35.610
one that eats the other. But I think it was held
00:52:35.610 --> 00:52:39.369
in line by the political component of it as long
00:52:39.369 --> 00:52:42.210
as you had an enemy that it was fighting against.
00:52:42.690 --> 00:52:45.869
Meaning the capitalist side had to allow the
00:52:45.869 --> 00:52:49.690
democratic side to get benefits. Otherwise, you
00:52:49.690 --> 00:52:51.510
wouldn't have the buy-in in order to fight this
00:52:51.510 --> 00:52:55.469
existential enemy of communism that they consider
00:52:55.469 --> 00:52:58.030
themselves fighting. The flaccid part, I think
00:52:58.030 --> 00:52:59.530
it's right. But I think it's the most natural
00:52:59.530 --> 00:53:01.250
thing in the world. The moment that you lose
00:53:01.250 --> 00:53:03.550
this thing that you're pushing against, that
00:53:03.550 --> 00:53:05.349
you have to supply for your population, that
00:53:05.349 --> 00:53:07.329
you have to show your population is growing and
00:53:07.329 --> 00:53:09.849
developing economically, the moment that it goes
00:53:09.849 --> 00:53:12.030
away, we no longer need to have this charade.
00:53:13.150 --> 00:53:15.190
Capitalism can move in one direction, and it moves
00:53:15.190 --> 00:53:17.070
in one direction, eating the political space.
00:53:17.409 --> 00:53:20.050
Now, I agree with you. I think the moment that
00:53:20.050 --> 00:53:22.050
you won, the moment that it dropped, it's
00:53:22.050 --> 00:53:26.369
if I was playing sports, if I was... Chess reference.
00:53:26.590 --> 00:53:28.900
When I was playing chess every day, I was a monster.
00:53:29.380 --> 00:53:31.420
The moment that I stopped and I go into a tournament
00:53:31.420 --> 00:53:35.349
10 years later, I got my ass kicked. Yeah. No,
00:53:35.389 --> 00:53:37.849
it's anybody who, if you
00:53:37.849 --> 00:53:40.250
practice physically, if you've been
00:53:40.250 --> 00:53:42.469
out of whatever, you bike every day and then
00:53:42.469 --> 00:53:46.510
you stop. You're going to be rusty. Yeah. Drawing
00:53:46.510 --> 00:53:49.489
is like that. I once went six weeks without
00:53:49.489 --> 00:53:52.590
drawing. Man, it took a long time to get back
00:53:52.590 --> 00:53:56.210
up to speed. Yeah. And by the way, the China
00:53:56.210 --> 00:53:58.429
thing is a really good example of it. It's,
00:53:58.489 --> 00:54:02.070
okay, the enemy goes away. We won. End of history.
00:54:03.320 --> 00:54:04.840
Liberalism forever. We're going to spread it
00:54:04.840 --> 00:54:07.260
to the galaxy, in Star Trek. And then China
00:54:07.260 --> 00:54:08.800
comes up. And it's, okay, well, you have
00:54:08.800 --> 00:54:10.940
this Chinese government that calls itself a communist
00:54:10.940 --> 00:54:13.980
government. And yet it's harnessing the capitalistic
00:54:13.980 --> 00:54:18.480
entity in a better way than the capitalists do,
00:54:18.619 --> 00:54:20.599
right? It's, well, that guy can use a lightsaber
00:54:20.599 --> 00:54:23.639
better than a Jedi. It's, yes, we can. And
00:54:23.639 --> 00:54:26.099
they use it for the benefit of their population
00:54:26.099 --> 00:54:28.420
in regards to raising 800 million people out
00:54:28.420 --> 00:54:32.909
of poverty. Okay, well, that's a challenge. Because,
00:54:32.909 --> 00:54:35.230
again, the capitalistic thing is we were able
00:54:35.230 --> 00:54:36.969
to look at what we've been able to do: freedom,
00:54:37.010 --> 00:54:39.530
justice, and we have liberty, and we have a capitalist
00:54:39.530 --> 00:54:41.929
system, and blah, blah, blah. And then you have
00:54:41.929 --> 00:54:43.489
China saying, well, we raised 800 million people
00:54:43.489 --> 00:54:44.929
out of poverty. We have the mandate of heaven
00:54:44.929 --> 00:54:48.030
because we are competent in one sense, and we're
00:54:48.030 --> 00:54:49.809
doing what we said we were going to do. That's
00:54:49.809 --> 00:54:52.289
a challenge. But the U.S. hasn't lined up to
00:54:52.289 --> 00:54:53.789
that challenge in the way we lined up to the
00:54:53.789 --> 00:54:56.690
challenge of communism in the Soviet system.
00:54:57.329 --> 00:54:59.630
And by the way, the Chinese system seems to have
00:54:59.630 --> 00:55:01.940
more legs. Very quickly, we have one more story
00:55:01.940 --> 00:55:05.800
to cover, this German spy chief story. But Paramount
00:55:05.800 --> 00:55:09.539
has given up its bid to purchase Warner Brothers.
00:55:09.960 --> 00:55:12.179
To me, that's an indication of Trump's growing
00:55:12.179 --> 00:55:14.380
weakness because this was something that Trump
00:55:14.380 --> 00:55:19.840
was midwifing. Wait, who? Paramount is not going
00:55:19.840 --> 00:55:23.940
to buy Warner. Really? Really?
00:55:23.940 --> 00:55:26.659
That's better for consumers that it not happen. Of course.
00:55:26.659 --> 00:55:28.099
No, it is. I just thought they were going to
00:55:28.099 --> 00:55:30.550
do it. Yeah, no, I thought it was a given. But
00:55:30.550 --> 00:55:33.110
definitely that signals weakness within the deep
00:55:33.110 --> 00:55:36.210
state, right, within the economic side of the
00:55:36.210 --> 00:55:38.449
deep state. All right, so a guy named August
00:55:38.449 --> 00:55:41.429
Hanning, 80 years old, he was the head of the
00:55:41.429 --> 00:55:43.630
German version of the CIA, the Federal Intelligence
00:55:43.630 --> 00:55:47.889
Service, known as the BND, between 1998 and 2005.
00:55:48.989 --> 00:55:52.150
He's been arrested and accused, he's 80 years
00:55:52.150 --> 00:55:56.070
old, of spying for a foreign country, basically
00:55:56.070 --> 00:55:59.800
selling about 2,000 key documents to this foreign
00:55:59.800 --> 00:56:02.659
country. We're not told what country that might
00:56:02.659 --> 00:56:05.340
be. Everyone wants to say it's probably Russia.
00:56:05.340 --> 00:56:09.179
Might be right. It could be Israel, right? We don't
00:56:09.179 --> 00:56:13.099
know. Yeah, right there, because they're
00:56:13.099 --> 00:56:15.159
not saying it. If it was Russia, they would
00:56:15.159 --> 00:56:18.960
just have said it: Russia. That's what I think. I think,
00:56:19.019 --> 00:56:22.420
so I'm going to say maybe Israel. And
00:56:22.420 --> 00:56:24.539
then what's really funny is that apparently these
00:56:24.539 --> 00:56:26.940
documents, the theft of these documents, came
00:56:26.940 --> 00:56:31.800
to light last year in some kind of alleged kidnap
00:56:31.800 --> 00:56:39.119
plot involving a lady who was the heir, the estranged
00:56:39.119 --> 00:56:43.420
heir to a steakhouse chain in Germany. Can't
00:56:43.420 --> 00:56:45.800
make these things up, to kidnap her children
00:56:45.800 --> 00:56:48.920
from her estranged husband. So apparently when
00:56:48.920 --> 00:56:52.079
the cops were investigating, the BND was, the German
00:56:52.079 --> 00:56:54.079
national police were investigating that case.
00:56:54.159 --> 00:56:57.780
They came across this August Hanning thing. August
00:56:57.780 --> 00:57:00.820
Hanning apparently was suffering financial problems.
00:57:01.079 --> 00:57:04.679
And so he was probably motivated purely by the
00:57:04.679 --> 00:57:07.179
need for money in order to sell these documents
00:57:07.179 --> 00:57:11.039
and prepare reports about how...
00:57:11.039 --> 00:57:14.860
to prepare reports about the BND for this foreign
00:57:14.860 --> 00:57:18.780
adversary. I don't know. It's
00:57:18.780 --> 00:57:21.940
more of a John Kiriakou-type story.
00:57:21.940 --> 00:57:24.440
I would love to pick his brain about that, but
00:57:24.440 --> 00:57:28.360
I guess this is still, to me, this reminder
00:57:28.360 --> 00:57:32.900
here is, so you had the former, you knew the
00:57:32.900 --> 00:57:36.110
former head of the BND had all sorts of access
00:57:36.110 --> 00:57:38.809
to intelligence that you cared about. You knew
00:57:38.809 --> 00:57:42.150
he was having financial problems. And you didn't
00:57:42.150 --> 00:57:44.429
think that maybe you needed to slip him a few
00:57:44.429 --> 00:57:47.070
Deutschmarks to make sure that, or euros, to make
00:57:47.070 --> 00:57:50.230
sure that he was okay, or
00:57:50.230 --> 00:57:52.269
check up on him. It would
00:57:52.269 --> 00:57:54.469
just seem to me you shouldn't give all sorts
00:57:54.469 --> 00:57:57.070
of important information to someone who's broke.
00:57:57.750 --> 00:58:00.010
But did they know he was broke? This
00:58:00.010 --> 00:58:01.469
stuff might have come to light during the investigation.
00:58:01.829 --> 00:58:04.420
Probably. It's a weakness of capitalism, though,
00:58:04.500 --> 00:58:07.119
right? You're trusting people. Then you
00:58:07.119 --> 00:58:09.719
kick them. Then they leave. They go and get old.
00:58:09.780 --> 00:58:12.659
And maybe they get poor and old. And then they
00:58:12.659 --> 00:58:15.440
need money. And they don't know who to turn to.
00:58:15.780 --> 00:58:18.699
And then some guy with a Tel Aviv accent shows
00:58:18.699 --> 00:58:22.039
up and offers them some money. And,
00:58:22.119 --> 00:58:29.960
hey, okay. Yeah, with a Tel Aviv accent. Yeah,
00:58:30.099 --> 00:58:33.039
I agree with you.
00:58:33.099 --> 00:58:35.460
They probably just didn't know. And God, man,
00:58:35.480 --> 00:58:37.300
just imagine you're doing an investigation about
00:58:37.300 --> 00:58:39.780
a potential kidnapping and this comes into your
00:58:39.780 --> 00:58:43.940
lap. How weird is that? You're, Hans, look
00:58:43.940 --> 00:58:50.079
at this. Let me eat some schnitzel. Let's have
00:58:50.079 --> 00:58:53.980
schnapps and discuss this. You're drinking your
00:58:53.980 --> 00:58:55.780
beer and all of a sudden it's, hey, I think
00:58:55.780 --> 00:58:58.739
this guy's being bribed. It's, what? What's
00:58:58.739 --> 00:59:00.869
going on? What? Yeah, it would be
00:59:00.869 --> 00:59:03.570
finding that George Tenet was working
00:59:03.570 --> 00:59:06.449
for the Chinese or something. Yeah, that shit's
00:59:06.449 --> 00:59:09.250
wild. That's so wild. Look, people are
00:59:09.250 --> 00:59:11.349
susceptible. And yeah, they don't necessarily,
00:59:11.550 --> 00:59:13.889
some of this stuff they expect on nationalistic
00:59:13.889 --> 00:59:16.230
lines that you're not due. But when people get
00:59:16.230 --> 00:59:20.210
desperate. Totally. No doubt about it. Well,
00:59:20.349 --> 00:59:22.309
we're not desperate here. We're closing the show
00:59:22.309 --> 00:59:25.510
out on time. We are. We can always use your support,
00:59:25.590 --> 00:59:26.849
though. So please, if you haven't subscribed
00:59:26.849 --> 00:59:30.010
to the show, please do so on YouTube or Rumble.
00:59:30.989 --> 00:59:34.809
Five, 10, $20 tiers. Go check that out. Appreciate
00:59:34.809 --> 00:59:38.070
you. TMI show coming up right now. We'll be back
00:59:38.070 --> 00:59:41.309
tomorrow at 9 a.m., going for the full two hours
00:59:41.309 --> 00:59:44.210
till 11 o'clock tomorrow. And looking forward,
00:59:44.269 --> 00:59:47.190
as always. And thanks for joining. Bye, Jamarl.
00:59:47.250 --> 00:59:48.960
Bye, Robby. Guys, bye-bye.
