Now let's get to this week's episode. This is Mandy Be. Welcome to Selective Ignorance, a production of The Black Effect Podcast Network and iHeartRadio. Hey guys, welcome to another episode of Selective Ignorance with me your host, Mandy Be, and we are getting into all of the ignorant things for this week. We're gonna kick it off a little light. We're not gonna start off with politics just yet. We're actually starting off with celebrities because they are literally saying the darness things. Apparently l Russell is letting us know that's everyone is heaven sent and guess what guys words mean things? And it's giving that he didn't know what heaven sent meant. But we're getting into that as well as all of New York being happy with the three way not threesome, but a three way announcement of three jay z shows coming to us, two at Yankee Stadium, one at Ruth's Picnic. And luckily I'm joined by all of these hip hop historians, two of which are up North, so I guess they really are gonna have so much to say about ho Ho. Then we're getting into the mess of other New York people. Mace, Cameron and Shine decided to be chatty patties and talk about what Brandy's puss was like, and then of course Ray J jumped into the mix. Are you have thoughts on all of these things? And whether or not men are the new bitches these days? And then this is not a sports podcast, but thank god, guess what happens when women ask for the things they want? We can't believe it. The WNBA has a new CBA agreement and we're gonna get into all of the details surrounding that, and how in twenty twenty six women you just may need to ask for what you want in life. And then in This is America, I will share with y'all my TSA debacle at the atl airport this week, because, of course, Trump is threatening to replace TSA workers with ice if the DHS shut down doesn't end soon. They're eating the dogs. The orange Cheeto is fucking up my travel plans, and we're gonna get into all of it show. Of course, y'all know, I am joined by my superb but DUSA, y'all gang, We're back.
00:03:02
Speaker 2: I'm back kids.
00:03:03

00:03:38
Speaker 3: Okay, okay, Oh man, it was like a full on theater production.
00:03:41

00:03:45
Speaker 2: It's crazy.

00:03:46

00:03:51
Speaker 3: So yeah, four thirty, four thirty, I get a little bit of extra sleep.
00:03:55

00:04:01
Speaker 1: It's Marrow the kid, the kid maryl You know, I think he'd be a good kid.
00:04:04
Speaker 4: I think he's a good kid though, he's a great kid.
00:04:06
Speaker 1: I love mart I love Mara. And then y'all we are joined by og pot legend, a king Kugler and that right right, we got a king and the director's share y'all are watching on video.
00:04:22
Speaker 4: Yeah, what's up, everybody?
00:04:23

00:04:24
Speaker 2: I gave us a small sample size of the Caesar buzz cut this past week, and then you went and got a little wiki wig.
00:04:34

00:04:56
Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know, but you buy it, like literally, say twenty seven piece. So this is a twenty seven piece. Dub it runny? Uh you know, I got a little Yeah, it's called d R six thirty.

00:05:22
Speaker 1: I'm flowing today. My hair? Does that look like Jack Carlow? We're not doing that.
00:05:26
Speaker 2: I mean, we are not doing You gotta get the side of the music soul child like hat that he has.
00:05:31

Speaker 1: So we're gonna do that.
00:05:37
Speaker 2: Let's get it. Let's get it.
00:05:38
Speaker 1: And then y'all already know we got the king of headline.
00:05:41
Speaker 4: Jason Joe My Blessing All, Yeah, niggas, what.
00:05:47
Speaker 1: Up?
00:05:47

Speaker 1: This is this is what I have to deal with, sitting.
00:05:55
Speaker 2: With a man.
00:05:56
Speaker 4: I'm not gonna I love I love this one.
00:05:59
Speaker 1: I love this one.
00:06:00
Speaker 2: Evan. It's like perfume.
00:06:02
Speaker 4: It does sound as a perfume l once she had.
00:06:05
Speaker 2: Three weeks ago that zero zero that ship.
00:06:12
Speaker 1: Dirt you're talking about.
00:06:13
Speaker 2: I don't like the Joe dirt.
00:06:14
Speaker 1: I wait, the bullet mullet. But she was okay with the skunk vibe.
00:06:18
Speaker 5: No.
00:06:20
Speaker 4: I was like internally, I was like, how long is this gonna last?
00:06:23
Speaker 2: She was like, anime, Mandy, if you, if you, if you were the anime, I feel like that would be the thing.
00:06:29
Speaker 4: But she had that when they had no superpower, like she just got.
00:06:32
Speaker 2: That it was.
00:06:33
Speaker 1: It sounds so ignorant.
00:06:34
Speaker 2: I really like it would have been.
00:06:37
Speaker 1: Can stand right by the way, it.
00:06:39
Speaker 4: Looks fantastic, Thank you you you know.
00:06:43
Speaker 1: Listen. There was a heat wave in l A. So I made sure that I set my ass by the pool.
00:06:49
Speaker 4: I opened the app.
00:06:50
Speaker 1: Don't do this.
00:06:53
Speaker 2: See you know I don't have to say it, scroll scroll right app and I see all. I'm like, cheeks, I'm like, and I said, yeah, I can't just get out of this.
00:07:05
Speaker 1: Some time around the corner to make sure my roster is intact.
00:07:10
Speaker 4: Okay, get yoursirt tech, get your clarity is out?
00:07:13
Speaker 2: This bit. Wash your car, bro, forget about it. You wash your cars and having a green piling on your ship.
00:07:19
Speaker 1: Now you've been talking all morning, John, you just came back from you did See.
00:07:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeahzation. Honestly, we talked about a lot of things we talk about today. We will probably have a different, more niggery conversation here.
00:07:35
Speaker 4: This morning.
00:07:37
Speaker 1: Wait, in the first six minutes niggery.
00:07:41
Speaker 2: Say be said in the selective ignorance. Now, but we're doing something different now. We talked about DHS, We talked about ice at the airport, We talked about damn gas prices.
00:07:51
Speaker 4: Okay, what else we talk talking about the SEC consolidation.
00:07:54
Speaker 2: No, we didn't get to that all the run. We didn't get to that's the stress howork for the next episode for sure. Yeah, we very very concerning. There was some consolidation this past few days with the FCC proved the acquisition and merger of like the biggest media companies that don't look like us, and now it looks like eighty percent of media in television.
00:08:18
Speaker 1: Oh ship, you know what that means, right, oh Ship?
00:08:21
Speaker 2: Well, speaking of version, we did talk about today on SEE and then we did talk a little bit about Live Nation and like the comments that the ex employees had made and just how they have like a death grip on ticketing. Yes, and I guess we'll get to some of that too, and we talk about the jay Z stuff. I get these tickets and like what they're about to hit you in the head for forgetting some man?
00:08:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I saw some of these and I'm like, is it not a recession?
00:08:45
Speaker 4: Yeah, they don't know what's going on, But don't forget the tarriffs.
00:08:49
Speaker 2: Is tarishing?
00:08:51
Speaker 4: I did trickle down effect everything everything.
00:08:54
Speaker 1: I'm just confused with where people are getting this money, because still do you still got to eat? Like, where is the money coming from?
00:09:02
Speaker 2: My sister in law hit me. She was like, you know what, I'm just swiping. I'm just someone going on American Express. We're gonna figure it out later. I got it showed.
00:09:10
Speaker 1: Now have y'all had any ignorant thoughts takes moments in the past week.
00:09:16
Speaker 4: I had an ignorant thought.
00:09:18
Speaker 2: I had an ignorant thought, and I think I always felt like this, but it didn't really crystallize for me until I saw something. And I'm not gonna I won't for for the sake of the controversy. I won't name any names. But I saw a thread hit one of my group chats this week about a woman who was talking about how basically polyamory and like three way relationships are detrimental to women, and how she was heartbroken that this public figure was a womanizer and all of these things.
00:09:50
Speaker 4: And I think my ignorant thought was, Judge.
00:09:54
Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck if your boyfriend cheated on you, Like if you go to the Wi fi, if the nigga did some crimes, go to the wi fi if the nigga if there's a sexual assault or a nigga stole some shit, or there's something actually happening. Don't come on here talking about trying to air people out because they cheated on you or because they broke your heart or whatever the cases.
00:10:11
Speaker 4: We don't give a fuck about that.
00:10:12
Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not gonna lie. It's the same reason why Reesa Tissa got a couple of mil off of her story. People actually do like the drama of carrying other people are cheating, right, Like, to be fair, the entire internet is talking about how we're all proud of a baby announcement by a woman who just has got a baby coming with a married man, like and congratulations to her, you know, but like so when we think about like these triangular relationships, these polydynamics, these like there's so many people that are actually existing in those things as well.
00:10:53
Speaker 2: So let me ask you something. Was it a non poly person speaking about poly people? No, someone talking about being Yeah, this person was in a triangular relationship with with a publicsensual consensual but she was talking about how her heart is broken now and he's a womanizer.
00:11:09
Speaker 1: Wait, what is a triangular relationship?
00:11:14
Speaker 4: She didn't even explain this. This is what made me mad though.
00:11:16
Speaker 2: She said, I'm this person is a womanizer because they broke my heart inside of this triangular relationship.
00:11:22
Speaker 4: This is bad for women.
00:11:23
Speaker 2: And then she went on to say the next post, this is not trying to be messy. I'm just trying to share my hurt out loud. I'm like, you're trying to be Why would you?
00:11:33
Speaker 1: Why would hurt out loud?
00:11:35
Speaker 4: What does that even go to a therapist?
00:11:38
Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, Like, have bro, they're just gonna double the triple and quadruple down about empty fucking theories and arguments about So.
00:11:45
Speaker 1: You want to know what's crazy about you bringing that up as your ignorant moment. So I have felt really exhausted lately with my other podcast, and I literally weezy and I had to have a conversation because I'm trying to figure out and I feel like this podcast may be trickling into it. There's because there's so much things happening politically. I am concerned with the right way to discuss sex right now because the swing of the pendulum is happening right And so we're having these conversations about patriarchy and all these women want to be chosen and feel protected by men. Yet then the other conversation is that we should fear all men because they can't keep their dicks in their pants and they all just want to grape us and assault us. And like, we're just having these these secular conversations where in one lens from a romantic standpoint, we want to be with men, we want to be married with them, we want to bear their children, we want to feel protected by them, and then the other scope, it's like, fear all men. We'd rather be with a bear in the woods. And I'm just like, how do we hold women accountable for the weapons of sex that we're experiencing right now, and how do we hold place for the fact that men are finally coming out expressing that they're being assault, they've been victims of assault.
00:13:11
Speaker 4: How do we come out and.
00:13:14
Speaker 1: Listen, Kevin Gates just spoke about it, but see and look so your face, it's like like men being victims likes a joke.
00:13:26
Speaker 2: It's Kevin Gates. But we talked about you asked me earlier when we talked about on CNN. We talked about the Bachelorette being canceled a little bit to day and the baby daughter right there, she's throwing barstools across the crib. And you know, this was an old case but ABC was willing to roll with it until the video came out.
00:13:48
Speaker 1: But also because she was and that's that was my thing. I'm like, we have to And like I even told her about the New York Times article where they're literally trying to transition pedophilia, pedophile whatever as to being a mental disorder not a criminal act. Yeah, And so there becomes a conversation where we know pedophilia is wrong, but yet you still don't think nothing was wrong when you was fourteen fucking a twenty three year old. No, that is pedophilia. So like there has to be a conversation about how we even speak about our own sexual experiences while acknowledging the ship that actually was not wrong and is not okay. And then in one moment too, we were talking I can't wait for y'all to hear us have this conversation on the air. But like even there was a conversation where she was talking about, you know, and experiencing and I'm summarizing her words for what it was, but how she experienced pleasure as a teenager at a young age, And I was like, no, girl, can we not talk about how at fifteen you knew this spelt so good? Because there are children now that.
00:15:05
Speaker 4: Like it's true, it gets tricky.
00:15:10
Speaker 1: And I'm literally I'm literally like, girl, with the files, the files, and then maybe we'll have another conversation about this. I was real in my bag. So they tried to call Monica Lewinsky a victim, and I said, oh, we're not doing that that. I don't see it as such. And I was just like, if a woman chooses to suck dick to get further into her career and it doesn't pan out for her, she doesn't get to be a victim. She knew she was second dick, not only to the president with the but a married man at that and she was twenty years old.
00:15:47
Speaker 3: But so, Mandy, can you can you unpack that a little bit? Like what what if she's not a victim? So you don't believe in sort of like the the power and how it was leveraged uneven between them.
00:15:57
Speaker 1: So you ready, yeah, she is a victim of being slut shamed by all of the country or sucking some dick. Okay, however, I done suck many a dick in my day. I ain't never kept the dress or the shirt or anything of the nature and just hung it back.
00:16:16
Speaker 4: Up in my closet with drive seamen. No dick museum, you know what I mean.
00:16:20
Speaker 1: Like and then to be fair, she was a woman, she wasn't a child. She was twenty years old. And fuck him being the president, he was a married man. You knew he was married nonetheless, right, And so for me, this is another thing. There are a lot of powerful, successful, rich, affluent men. I hate the fact that because they've made it to this level in society that now they are the monsters and they can't have sex with no one. And now there's this huge power dynamic, and it immediately leans into coercion because as a woman, we just can't say no, Bro, I wouldn't suck Michael Jordan dick. So like, there's so many like affluent men. I don't give a fuck how fucking rich and popular you are. I'm not sucking your dick because I don't want to. I'm a like and so to me, there has to be more of a conversation of accountability for women, but also like knowing how to say no and feeling comfortable with no, because that's the thing that we're teaching with consent. Why does consent not matter? And why are we such damsels when it comes to a rich, powerful man. And what I'm saying is, with the swing of the pendulum, we now have these rich, powerful, affluent men they don't even want to hire women because you know what I mean. But even with the NDA, it's just like, dang. Now there's fear of men even wanting to work with women because of the fact that anything with sex, anything that's set out of your mouth that makes you feel uncomfortable, could be weaponized in a way that completely destroys that man's life. And I think there are women using that to their advantage right now. Now, Yes, there are real victims. There's a lot of women, what is it three and every four experience assault? Like and so to me, the conversation is too though, now, like how do we make sure that the victims are really heard and all of this.
00:18:28
Speaker 2: Other you know, So you feel like in general that the societal temperature right now makes it hard to have a podcast or for it for you to have those conversations on decisions just based off of like how do I talk about these things without it seeming well.
00:18:45
Speaker 1: Because also a lot of the conversations with men and women around dating, sex, all the things becomes very gender worry and it becomes fuck men. So even when I brought up how men are also victims to sexual assault and violation, it was like, yeah, but fuck that. We don't care about what happens to them. Why hurt people? Hurt people? And there's a lot of men that didn't realize they were assaulted until now, Like we're reaching in a place where men are now opening up about being molested by older women. It's not even just men on men. There's a lot of women. And I told her, I said, every time I look up sex on the news. It's a fucking teacher.
00:19:28
Speaker 4: I was gonna say, we've seen all.
00:19:30
Speaker 1: Did y'all see Did y'all see the teacher that put the boys semen and cupcakes and fed it to the other students that didn't hit my timeline? Y'all didn't see that. Y'all didn't see that. Hold on and so literally hold on, I'm gonna look it up because I want to make sure I say her name ship.
00:19:52
Speaker 2: Like this is why the parents be sending their kids to homeschool and just being like fuck the whole public school system and all of that. I had a story.
00:20:00
Speaker 1: Louisiana teacher Cynthia Perkins sentence after lacing students cupcakes with her husband's firm.
00:20:08
Speaker 2: With her husband's firm, you think she's a democratic Republican?
00:20:12
Speaker 1: Definitely a Republican.
00:20:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like her little sister and half sister.
00:20:17
Speaker 1: Nigga Swap, came to get her, okay. She was charged with dozens of child sex crimes, and she also pleaded guilty to second degree grape, production of child pornography, and conspiracy of mingling of harmful substance bro She was thirty six.
00:20:36
Speaker 2: Years old and she started a middle school high school or school.
00:20:40
Speaker 1: By the way, the couple may this is a man and a woman allegedly graped children between the ages of nine and ten, a child between the ages of nine and ten as a unit. And then but this is a teacher broke. So like that's what I'm saying, Like women are nat see bio creatures too, mm hmmm. And so let's my thing is talking about it from like a lens that is new world, right, Yeah, and that doesn't just make men all these scary beings. Oh my god, the way we even were having conversations about how women can't be friends with men because men just only want to fuck every woman that walks by there.
00:21:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's always been a silly conversation with me. Like if you can't have if you as a person can't don't have the ability to trust your significant other with friends of the opposite sex, listen, then like that's you need to go to therapy, like you need to talk what you say, go to the lady, Go see the.
00:21:42
Speaker 1: Lady, Go see the lakes.
00:21:43
Speaker 4: You need to go see the lady.
00:21:44
Speaker 2: You need to go see the lady because like something is wrong with you, something happened to you. And you're scarred in some kind of way that keeps you from having a healthy relationship. So you tell me you cut off everybody you know of the opposite sex because you have a boyfriend.
00:21:56
Speaker 1: Or nobody even but even women saying that they've never had friends that didn't want to fuck them, Like, and I'm thinking of I've known you for I don't know, fourteen teen years. Now, I've known you for ten years, Jason, like, and I'm like, I'm thinking. I was like, I don't think these niggas wanted to fuck me, like, and then I was like, right now, we're.
00:22:20
Speaker 4: A gentleman though. That's the thing with gentlemen. Yeah, if you're Cam Newton, you have you have trouble with this.
00:22:25
Speaker 2: But if you're like a civilized person, yeah, Mandy, every man ain't the same, just like every woman.
00:22:33
Speaker 4: And that's it's just a measure of the chorum, right.
00:22:38
Speaker 2: I don't know if it's our parenting, I don't know if it's the environment with Look, I have family uncles who you know, they haven't done anything egregious, but men talk shit. Yeah, you do it in a way. You know, she's bad. It's a little bad. That's what that's what men do. But it's when you talk to a woman, when you're out in the street with a woman, And the scary part of it is the youth that that adapting even worse traits. And then they even filming the ship, like we see them when they run up on older women in the store and saying crazy, and it's like, it's one thing to show that I could I could get an older woman's number, but the dialogue that occurs it's crazy.
00:23:15
Speaker 1: But also then on the on the flip side, like it's like, but if I offered it to him, he would take it. And I was like, do y'all not think men can say no either? Like it's just it's it's mind boggling.
00:23:28
Speaker 2: I think men say no.
00:23:30
Speaker 4: Oh.
00:23:30
Speaker 2: Perfect example. The the the guy who came out of jail I think in Dallas or Houston, came on from jail. He was messing with the correction officer got out, he declined sex, and she pulled up on him and shot him through the He had to disarm her with the wound right and then get her ans arrested because.
00:23:50
Speaker 1: He was She shot him because he.
00:23:52
Speaker 4: Said camera the camera.
00:23:54
Speaker 2: She came to his house like yo, chill. We didn't have a comed and she wouldn't try to get none. She said, why would you mean, why would you have sex while you.
00:24:02
Speaker 1: Was It was when he was locked up, it was poundtown like he was, yeah, got you. But then when he got out, he was like.
00:24:09
Speaker 4: What's happened to our arrangement?
00:24:11
Speaker 2: And then she pulled up on him and and when he would declined it and he was you could tell he's like, I'm.
00:24:15
Speaker 1: Using Jason's line. Yeah, that adn't come across.
00:24:18
Speaker 2: My That was crazy.
00:24:21
Speaker 4: And then she on video she just pulled out the blicky and block. I think she was in uniform when she I think if I remember it was a video.
00:24:28
Speaker 2: Created, yes, created. The crazy thing about it was he just armed her. The next video photo that you so after giving the hospital bed off and I'm like, damn, yo, he could have been a body year yep, because he did.
00:24:42
Speaker 1: He declined, the big declined the blessing.
00:24:45
Speaker 4: Well, he declined, he declined giving her because he set boundaries.
00:24:48
Speaker 1: He set boundaries. He set boundaries.
00:24:50
Speaker 2: Now to your point, I don't he's probably in this small minority niggas would have still ran through you know what I mean, He's going in jail.
00:24:57
Speaker 4: Why you wouldn't do that in real life.
00:24:59
Speaker 1: Because he had some decord when he got out of jail.
00:25:02
Speaker 2: Okay, she probably stretching him out. This is like prison pussy like I'm this year just like you know what I'm saying.
00:25:14
Speaker 4: But now we're back in the real world. I'm cool. Yeah, now I'm just so.
00:25:19
Speaker 1: I don't get fine. Well, let's start off on a light note, guys, A little bit of music, a little bit of chatty patty, a little bit of Bible study. I guess little Russell recently released a snippet of a song. Now I want to play the snippet. Some of y'all have heard this already, Jason, pull that snippet up. I'm gonna go in and pull up. Y'all know he's been responding to the backlash. But let's go ahead and uh play this snippet for the audience who may or may not have been living under a rock and haven't heard it.
00:25:57
Speaker 4: Reckon And I sent it off to my engineer.
00:25:59
Speaker 1: He cost me. He said, man, you probably shouldn't put this out.
00:26:04
Speaker 2: I said, what what the hell happened?
00:26:06
Speaker 6: He said, you know you you're talking about Epstein and it's a lot of shit going on.
00:26:10
Speaker 2: And I said, thank you for calling me. I'm finla drop this.
00:26:16
Speaker 6: That's exactly why we need it, because everybody sitting be silent and the goal of an artist is to express the times and discuss say all the things that nobody else want to say or know how to say. I'm not perfect and neither is the president. What's guilty or then the nigga hot and evidence. You can't be mad that they heeded if you don't let them vent. Even the devil's having sent even Malcolm, what's having sent even ma and what's having sent even Kanye was having sent? We a'all have ben sent Donald toon? We all haven' sent Epstein too. We y'all have been sent eight off too that even you, we all haven't sent.
00:27:15
Speaker 1: Now even you, we all haven't sent.
00:27:22
Speaker 3: Hm.
00:27:23
Speaker 1: I'm going to read what his final statement was in response to all the backlash he got from this, and then I'd love for us to dissect because I don't know a Ki said he has an interesting take on this one. So he said, good morning America. This is by the way, Larussell from his from his Twitter account, good morning America. This is my final statement on this bullshit. I love that he used our slogan to the selective outrage and fake righteousness is a joke. It's always us. Y'all been complicit in supporting serial killers, murderers, drug dealers, pimps, and niggas destroying the community for years. But me saying God made me and he also made these sick ass niggas is where the line is drawn. Cut it out. You're gonna be outraged, be outraged about it all. Turn the murder music off and every other detrimental form of art you consume. I'm one of the few niggas in this shiit smiling and putting good into the ecosystem. I'm gonna keep saying and doing what I want with my art because I'm a fucking artist. Y'all can keep being fake, outraged and complicit with everything else.
00:28:35
Speaker 2: Mike, fuck out.
00:28:40
Speaker 1: Okay, John, talk to me ahead. What were your thoughts on this?
00:28:48
Speaker 3: All?
00:28:48
Speaker 2: Right? So first thing, first, he's talking about artists is supposed to reflect the sound of the times and say things to people. Who's scared to say that? And what times are you even addressing? Like you saying the name Epstein is not addressing the time?
00:29:00
Speaker 4: What time.
00:29:00
Speaker 2: What did you even say? You didn't say nothing. You said, we're all made by God. Okay, nigga, And like what is the land the plane? Like you put a plane in the air with no wheels and this shit just crashed to the ground.
00:29:11
Speaker 4: Like you didn't make a point. Okay, we're all made from God. What is the point?
00:29:14
Speaker 2: Like what do you That's what fake? Deep thing is this supposed to be? What message do we take from that? We're supposed to like love and respect all of God's children. I do not love and respect all of God's children. I disrespect and detest some of God's children, especially the ones you named in the song. So I don't even understand what we're supposed to take away from that.
00:29:33
Speaker 4: And also that's not what heaven Sent means.
00:29:36
Speaker 2: Heaven Sent is supposed to be somebody that comes at the perfect time, right on time, and when we're in a time of need.
00:29:44
Speaker 1: And when I tell you, Adolph did not did I come in the time of me? And look at the country. Trump definitely came at the wrong Like what do you talk?
00:29:53
Speaker 2: Kendrick Lamar wrote not like us, and Larrussell wrote, Jeffrey Epstein is just like you.
00:29:58
Speaker 4: No, the fuck he's not. Nigga, speak for yourself.
00:30:00
Speaker 1: Nigga, like the damn that is what he did.
00:30:03
Speaker 2: No, nigga, what do you and you put his name right next to Martin and Malcolm, like, oh, God created all of us.
00:30:08
Speaker 4: What are you talking about? Fucking goofball raising biscuit? Like what.
00:30:14
Speaker 1: Goofball raising biscuit should be coming at.
00:30:21
Speaker 4: Argument with somebody?
00:30:22
Speaker 2: Goofball raising biscuit raising with it?
00:30:31
Speaker 1: What about you?
00:30:32
Speaker 2: King?
00:30:34
Speaker 4: I understand, you understand, what stand?
00:30:37
Speaker 2: Why people are you know? Upset?
00:30:40
Speaker 4: However, I don't think Okay, a couple of things. He I'm not. I think we're spending too much time on it.
00:30:48
Speaker 2: I think there's far more things in our community that we should be worried about, whether than whether or not the Russell use Epstein and his heaven sent dire tribe. I think that also, that was a portion of a Probably we won't never hear them. Unfortunately, we won't hear the rest of it because you know, maybe there was some maybe some context would have been provided in the song had we heard the whole thing.
00:31:08
Speaker 4: That was just a portion of it.
00:31:11
Speaker 2: Well, no one wild probably ever hear the whole thing because nobody listens to the Russell.
00:31:14
Speaker 4: Okay, so.
00:31:17
Speaker 2: No, hold on, hold and this is I'm getting there. I'm glad you said that. I've been listening. I'm I'm a rap fan, so I listen to everything. I fux with the Russell.
00:31:27
Speaker 4: The thing is, what's your favorite song?
00:31:28
Speaker 2: Now, that's the one thing about he is forty he has forty I think forty two albums.
00:31:32
Speaker 1: That's great. What's your favorite song he had?
00:31:34
Speaker 2: I don't think there's one song that that that I identify him with. I just think he's a great writer. What is the favorite he's a fun rapper.
00:31:41
Speaker 1: What is the song that's so fun that you like a king?
00:31:45
Speaker 2: I would have to look at my not having no look honestly, but that's my whole point, right, what's your point?
00:31:51
Speaker 4: Listen, there's a lot of commenting on about album that.
00:31:55
Speaker 1: Never a king forty two albums? No, no, no, forty two albums? You listen to him? Name me what song from Lord Brust?
00:32:05
Speaker 2: So you like, there's a song.
00:32:10
Speaker 4: I haven't, I haven't. I don't know.
00:32:14
Speaker 2: Me.
00:32:16
Speaker 1: J said, here's if one of that you listen to forty two hours nigga Chris Brown, you didn't know that you didn't.
00:32:23
Speaker 2: Know that Aubrey was doing the episode one, two, and three in four right, what are you talking exactly? You didn't even know he was putting on episodes, Lawbrey, Why.
00:32:33
Speaker 1: Are you calling him lobrary?
00:32:34
Speaker 2: Being everybody? That's what allegedly allegedly alleged me. But guess what if.
00:32:41
Speaker 1: I sit on this microphone and say, yeah, I listen to Drake, guess what I could do name a song that I like, well, especially hold On, And Drake doesn't have forty two.
00:32:51
Speaker 4: That doesn't invalidate, That doesn't invalidate me.
00:32:54
Speaker 2: Not no, no, no, no me not knowing a Larissa record he doesn't have. He puts out so much content, doesn't have identifiable favor chorus.
00:33:05
Speaker 1: So I'm gonna save a king.
00:33:07
Speaker 4: He gotta he got a record.
00:33:10
Speaker 1: Artists, you can remember one song like.
00:33:12
Speaker 3: He You know, he's still a new He's still kind of a new artist.
00:33:15
Speaker 1: He puts out a ton of record.
00:33:16
Speaker 3: It's kind of like you appreciate the vibe and and kind of like the character of who he is because.
00:33:20
Speaker 1: He's kind of like a bootstrap artist.
00:33:22
Speaker 3: And I think that's why people are so disappointed, because they feel like this record kind of goes.
00:33:27
Speaker 1: Against that him. But but but I have a question though for you, Mandy.
00:33:31
Speaker 3: So, we had a section a segment that we still do from time to time called double down or take it back.
00:33:36
Speaker 1: Yes, he obviously doubled down.
00:33:39
Speaker 3: You, as somebody who gets a lot of attention on social media, I'm sure you have that feeling and moment where you're like, Yo, fuck dumb, I'm gonna double down.
00:33:47
Speaker 2: He did that.
00:33:48
Speaker 1: What are your what are your thoughts on him?
00:33:50
Speaker 3: Because each day he kept doubling down, tripling down, quadrupling down until he deleted his his socials.
00:33:55
Speaker 1: But what is your on him?
00:33:57
Speaker 3: Kind of still like the the mentality of him to be like, oh, fuck y'a, y'all don't get my art.
00:34:02
Speaker 1: I'm still doubling down. Here. Here's the thing. You know who else doubled down and triple down and it was Suicide Career the Baby at a time where he was still fairly new if we're talking about an artists that's fairly new. Yes. Also, this is also an artist that forty two albums.
00:34:20
Speaker 3: In just.
00:34:23
Speaker 2: They're not albums in the same context as an as our.
00:34:28
Speaker 1: Friend artist EPs whatever.
00:34:30
Speaker 4: It's forty two bodies of work where.
00:34:33
Speaker 1: Jason, go, Okay, it also just comes to u a place where you just signed a major deal. You're now with rock Nation. You're doubling down on a thing to where essentially, yeah, you are saying that we are like eight Off and Epstein and Sinners and all these things. And so for me as an artist, this is career suicide where you're finally probably are You're you're putting yourself up to more audiences that knew you before these forty two albums, and this is what you give us. So for me, no, to me, I double down because Nigga, I've been doing this shit for ten years like you as a new artist, essentially because y'all just gave him the kind of this. He's new. He's a bootstrap guy. You know, he's pulling himself up. For me, this is not the way you go about your art.
00:35:24
Speaker 2: What ire is subjective? Man, So we all haven't sent human beings. Weren't made perfect Theyd's image, right, and we are we what they say, I can't remember the parable, but we're not perfect beings, right.
00:35:40
Speaker 1: We're not in hindsight perfect in hindsight. I want to ask the three of y'all do y'all think if hindsight was twenty twenty and the baby knew what him doubling down on the HIV things and things that he said at Rolling Loud in hindsight, do you think he doubles down on that today knowing what the outcome was for his career not.
00:36:00
Speaker 2: I think a different thing though. What he did this dude. All he said was we all haven't sent Yes, he named figures that we don't fuck with, but he didn't say that he supports them, and he didn't say that.
00:36:12
Speaker 4: You know what I'm talking about? The outrage.
00:36:14
Speaker 1: The response is to the outrage. If you see that people are responding this way to something you said, you pull it back, like, who was it? I don't think you didn't she say something in a record It was like the R word or something to where people were like ooh, and she literally saw the outrage and flipped the lyric because I.
00:36:32
Speaker 2: Think makes it the same thing about something about like she had some lyric about spas out and people on her about embolism and things like that, and she was like, okay, cool, I'm out.
00:36:40
Speaker 4: And so if then.
00:36:41
Speaker 1: You're an artist, cool art is subjective, but if you're on a growth trajectory. Why double down on some ship that you see is pissing all these motherfuckers.
00:36:51
Speaker 2: On the Other problem is is that a like he could have instead of doubling down, he could have listened and been twice as smart. Hmmm, like hear what people are saying and take it for what it is worth. To me, this isn't a hill worth dying on because you didn't. He didn't really make a substantive thing. So it's like, if this is something that really meant something to you, that was really strong, and he really was important to you to get this message out, Okay, fine, you gotta take what comes with it.
00:37:20
Speaker 4: But to double triple, quadruple down and then the lea paid like you can't even Yeah, you were standing on business.
00:37:28
Speaker 2: Until somebody kicked the chair off from under you, and now you're just like, you know how Looney Tunes, how you was like Daffy Duck my land mind and it'd be labeled landmine and you step on it anyway and he blows up and then he's standing there without a beak and just eyes like that's what Larrussell.
00:37:43
Speaker 4: Look like right now.
00:37:44
Speaker 2: I wish, I wish he would have he should have hollowed at Glasses alone and how to intercurt In wrong to interact with people with discourse Couse Glasses still commenting on ship that happened five months ago.
00:38:01
Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think oh G T Coop was.
00:38:04
Speaker 2: The name of the song by the way, that was one of the records, and it was an album called and the album that I was listening to a party on the West Side.
00:38:18
Speaker 1: That Nigga been googling while he was talking about.
00:38:20
Speaker 4: I like l Russell as like a concept right at first, he can rap.
00:38:25
Speaker 2: When I first first heard of Russell, I was like, Oh, this dude is pretty good, Like you can rap. And I liked what he built for himself, the good Company. I think all this stuff that he did as a business is dope. The original music I'm not really big on. I don't really care about, but generally I think what he's done is a good thing. I mean, it took him very fair. You just did the super Bowl, Nigga, and no one knows your songs, Like, that's that's pretty crazy, that's a that's an amazing thing.
00:38:49
Speaker 1: But this just he was at the super Bowl.
00:38:51
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he did.
00:38:52
Speaker 2: The pre show.
00:38:54
Speaker 1: I didn't watch that.
00:38:56
Speaker 4: I mean because he was he was in Puerto Rican, Dominican. Oh my god, niggas.
00:39:03
Speaker 2: From the West coast, you know, still got the.
00:39:09
Speaker 4: Lingering effect from mister Duckworth.
00:39:12
Speaker 1: You done, you done?
00:39:14
Speaker 2: You know what?
00:39:15
Speaker 1: Fine, let's get into the hip hop bag that y'all. Look, yeah, look, you excited? You want to go ahead and introduce.
00:39:21
Speaker 2: This because you know why she going to be right up there with all of us. Can I live doing all that shit?
00:39:27
Speaker 1: You know what's crazy right there?
00:39:31
Speaker 2: Yeah? Uh.
00:39:31
Speaker 1: In the past week, Jay Z did two announcements, one him being the headliner for Ruth's Picnic, and then just a couple of days later, he announced two shows in July at Yankee Stadium, one show being The Reasonable Doubt, which is this is the thirty year anniversary of that album, and then The Blueprint, which happens to be the twenty five year anniversary for that album. And boy is the Internet happy. I'm so excited, you know, talking about both projects. I guess how excited are you'll? I didn't share in this excitement, guys, would you?
00:40:14
Speaker 2: Did you listen to Z's music?
00:40:16
Speaker 1: So let me tell you so I did. I did attend a jay Z concert before which album it was, I don't know all of them. I think that okay, So look up the tour, Jason. It was Trey songs and geez that opened up for him.
00:40:37
Speaker 7: That probably I was gonna say, so mind you, this is two thousand and nine, you ready.
00:40:51
Speaker 1: So I was working the suites Phillips Serena, and I happen to be doing the suite for this was the year that the Saints won the Super Bowl, and so I'm in the I'm in the Sweet with the Saints or whatever this is. This is back when Nigga, they got the they got the roast beef. I'm cutting it, but like, I'm just a regular girl, just a regular girl. But ended up like setting up their sweet real early. And I could not wait for the Neighbors Know My Name and so Trey's songs. I was so excited to hear him yodel on stage. And then after that came Geezy, are you kidding me? Oh my god? And so I'm like living my best life and then I'm like, Okay, job's done. I guess I'll stay for And he had no dancers, he had no nothing. It was just him out. I remember in his baggy jeans and Timberland boots and he comes out on the stage and he did demand the stage. I'll say that, and so yes at the end, I was.
00:42:00
Speaker 8: Like, oh h to the O V, to the audio people, that sounded very sports.
00:42:10
Speaker 4: Yay sports. Now, Now, somebody who spent a lot of time in New York, how.
00:42:15
Speaker 1: Many First off, jay Z stopped making music when I moved to New York.
00:42:19
Speaker 4: No, but the music stayed though. I mean the music was there.
00:42:22
Speaker 1: You know what's crazy? They played more fifty y'all rule in the club than jay Z. Jay Z doesn't get spins in the strip club or the club club. Interesting, like like if we're talking about from a hip hop lens, yes, jay Z is goat, but from an entertainment scope and where you actually hear his music based on your age, I think we should add I'm a millennials.
00:42:45
Speaker 4: Where are y'all going to thirty five?
00:42:47
Speaker 3: Like?
00:42:48
Speaker 1: Where are y'all hearing jay Z?
00:42:49
Speaker 2: I think it is kids that rock Michael Jordan sneakers, kids that they know his music. It's not.
00:42:59
Speaker 1: Where is it being you?
00:43:01
Speaker 4: Nowhere? Where they played like give it to me by the way I change clothes.
00:43:05
Speaker 1: So I wish I wish I heard change clothes.
00:43:07
Speaker 2: But you've never been nowhere to party where the whole, the whole crowd says, and I wish I never met her at like that was never an experience for you.
00:43:16
Speaker 1: Wait, that's j Z.
00:43:17
Speaker 4: Yeah, what is going on? Okay?
00:43:22
Speaker 1: That one song? Yes, yeah, song they played in the club from jay.
00:43:25
Speaker 2: Z, Another jay Z song, you were here in the club, Well, you probably wouldn't hear Big Pimping.
00:43:30
Speaker 1: No, you want to hear big Pimping now?
00:43:34
Speaker 3: Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, miss and and the remix.
00:43:38
Speaker 2: And maybe Empire state of Mind in Paris, Paris.
00:43:45
Speaker 1: Yes, I get that. But even when that was being played, was Kanye at a high peak where Kanye records were getting played every other song in the club, jay Z, you know, we're not hearing fucking Umbrella in the club. You might hear La La La Crazy We're not hearing jay Z is even part of these songs.
00:44:10
Speaker 2: Jay Z is part of Crazy Love.
00:44:12
Speaker 1: He is bro. That's Beyonce's first single. What are we talking about right now?
00:44:15
Speaker 2: Bonnie Clyde and Clyde Drunken Dunk Love for sure, This this is this is this is a monster songs were getting played at my high school dances. Never had front Damn.
00:44:35
Speaker 1: You're like, I get this, Okay.
00:44:38
Speaker 3: John, question, I have a I have a question for you because y'ah, I know you like threads and you be spending your time on threads.
00:44:44
Speaker 1: This is a thread come to life. I see this thread.
00:44:47
Speaker 3: I see this on threads all the time, where people will be like, jay Z is not even that, and underneath people.
00:44:52
Speaker 1: Are like, who is this person? This is? This is threads come to life right here.
00:44:56
Speaker 2: No, there's there's definitely a revisionist history happening collect so far everywhere. In some part I worry about the Republican Party books we cook in the book. Yeah, there's a portion of the zeit guys. There's a portion of the zeit guys that has has redefined like what type of artist jay Z is and who he is and like what his.
00:45:18
Speaker 4: Contribution to this thing is.
00:45:19
Speaker 2: And it's weird. I don't get how it started, but there is this recurring theme that like, oh, jay Z, he's not even in my top ten rappers of all time.
00:45:29
Speaker 1: Of course I've heard big, but I also guess and this is where geographic upbringing matters and age demo, right So I'm a nineteen nineties baby who grew up in Florida, Florida woman, and so in terms of rap and when I got to rap, because also as a millennial, I was Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys in Sync. I grew up in the boy band and then when I got older, got into R and B and hip hop more. And so even through that, though it was Trick Daddy, it was Wayne, it was I mean, should I love Pastor Troy, It was Outcast, it was ludacrisy t I, j Z, Gucci. And so even even when I when I moved up to New York being cool with Jim Jada, I was just cool with these. I didn't even know these niggas was as big as they were. Like, these were just homies that know it, Like I know them, I hang out with them, and like I remember my homegirl pulling up, Uh, I want of Jim Sets. She was like, is she a bitch from Harlem?
00:46:36
Speaker 4: I didn't losing her mind?
00:46:38
Speaker 1: Oh my god. And so I didn't even realize that dipset was that big of a thing, because even for me, all of us just thought Joel's was fine. I'm mainteen, a live, a crazy life and know what the ladies like? Was your agent sight? She looked at me and said, you a baby right Like to me it was this nigga, where's pink Furt? And Joel's is fine and balling. That's all I knew about dipset growing up. So like the up North, like how people talk about geographical hip hop, jay Z didn't trickle down to me.
00:47:11
Speaker 3: I will say, I don't know if she's having sent.
00:47:16
Speaker 4: Right, she's having sent her playlist?
00:47:19
Speaker 2: Was it was not having sent? I would say, though, I mean we all have access to streaming, go back and listen to some jay Z.
00:47:30
Speaker 1: Sure I love change clothes and fronting. Yeah, do you like jay Z? Do I like jay Z enough to pay eight hundred and seventy.
00:47:38
Speaker 2: Six dollars for going to be somehow she's gonna be writing in one of them sweets and we're gonna hopefully no.
00:47:45
Speaker 1: No, let's be very clear. Hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, y'all have got to stop hitting my phone. I don't have tickets for you for Rooth's picnic or for the Yankee.
00:47:55
Speaker 4: Sa I got poor people like yeah, so you I.
00:47:59
Speaker 1: Ain't got you. I'm not getting you backstage do not hit me for tickets. If I get tickets, it will be for myself.
00:48:05
Speaker 4: And that is it.
00:48:06
Speaker 2: The day they made the announcement, all of the my Instagram, you know the Instagram, like the little like status updates or whatever.
00:48:13
Speaker 4: I was just swipe.
00:48:14
Speaker 2: There was like maybe ten in a row that was like, either I don't work for rock Nation, I can't get you tickets. Nope, sorry no jay Z tickets, don't hit my phone like it with the whole timeline was like, yeah, I can't do it. I got a video recording in my text message yesterday I won't say from who, okay, And they're showing the ticket prices and they said because we both hip hop fans, I know we.
00:48:37
Speaker 4: I didn't acknowledge that this is crazy. I don't even looked at the prices.
00:48:41
Speaker 1: Wait wait did they think that you were gonna buy it?
00:48:43
Speaker 2: They thought that. I don't know what they think they thought wrong. I'm just like, I didn't even examine that part of it yet. But I do want to go real quick.
00:48:51
Speaker 1: The three of you all want to go for sure.
00:48:53
Speaker 2: I've already enagled my way into the Roots Picnic. I have Hey, hi, Roots Picnic. If you gotta hit up with you like you want to do on the street. Let's put it on the business.
00:49:01
Speaker 5: Yeah.
00:49:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, trying to get to the roots. Roots picnic too, So roots picnic people are watching this or listening to this, you know this roots picnic friendly.
00:49:10
Speaker 1: Don't make it look like we will be there, like just don't no plus ones like niggas, we don't get in there, no plus ones. By the way, then I want to ask y'all, is as hip hop heads blueprint a reasonable doubt if y'all could choose one night at Yankee Stadium, which one is it? What are y'all thoughts to on him separating the nights this way?
00:49:34
Speaker 2: For me, it's reasonable doubt, but not by like a whole whole lot. But reasonable doubt is why I love jay Z like it. That album opened my eyes up to like, oh ship, niggas can rap like this, Niggas can have this type of flow that's like it almost sounds like he wasn't it happened. It happened to rhyme. It wasn't not like he was trying to rhyme. He was just saying what he wanted to say, and it just sounded fly. So for me, Reasonable Doubt is the one that I have to see just from my like fifteen year old self.
00:50:04
Speaker 4: I just got to see that album.
00:50:06
Speaker 1: Are Jason joh Lee Heaven Sent? Wait Jason, do you agree with that? What? Yeah?
00:50:13
Speaker 2: I do?
00:50:13
Speaker 3: I saw I saw a complex did the post where they said Blueprint was better?
00:50:17
Speaker 1: Editor too? I think, like I could see why people would.
00:50:20
Speaker 3: Do that, and like there their chief their editing chief or chief content officer of Noah Klahan Bebber. We've had this conversation a lot throughout years, like, like you know, Blueprint is it's like it's the Polish and it's the mastery and it's that kind of like jay Z at his peak. But I think the the like the rawness of jay Z and the entry of it with Reasonable Doubt.
00:50:39
Speaker 1: I think that leaves people.
00:50:41
Speaker 3: I mean, it just has much more excitement I think for me and kind of like what he can do with those songs and freestyles, and I would I would pick Reasonable Doubt over the Blueprint show. Not that like one album is so much better than the other, but it's just a matter of like do you want peak and mastery or like rawness and kind of like still having that aggression.
00:51:00
Speaker 1: So it's giving just go to Rooth's picnic to get both.
00:51:02
Speaker 4: Huh, well, so that's the the part though.
00:51:04
Speaker 2: Is he going to spoil that so that like the picnic, I don't think we're gonna get what do you think you get a Root? I think you're gonna get a new music. I think you're gonna get a new verse. You're gonna I think he's gonna go. I think he's gonna dig into his early bag what we used to seeing when he was outside like that. Well, he'll give us a teaser of what's to come, and in between the set you might him drop a little eight sixteen. Because if I'm Jay, I got Vitrio off for so many people right now. Yeah, if I'm just writing on the score scorecard like I got something.
00:51:33
Speaker 1: For you, you you, you, you, you, you and your boy and actually festival lens. This is my predictions in Paris.
00:51:43
Speaker 2: You get I think you get those reasonable doubt. I miss when Jay ands reconciled se seeing the video, But I do think there's a window of possibility that when Dead Presidents come on because he uses Nas his voice, that we see Nas for that for that moment, because they're good now so you think is going to come out at roots? No, yeah, I believe that I got free speech. He put up a poll on his Instagram. He said he believes that Ya is going to come out, and I said, well, yay, this this man's kids. He told me he was the was the hard word, and he said he said the best apologies are made out behind closed doors. And I get that, but I think he's crossed that line already.
00:52:25
Speaker 4: I don't know if you could truly.
00:52:27
Speaker 1: I don't know you you might have sold me. You think Nah's coming out, That's like just a moment I would like to be like as a moment in hip hop. That would be so then I could tell my my friend's kids I was.
00:52:41
Speaker 2: There, And I think that I think we get that before we get a Ya, you know, but then on the flip side of the Blueprint album. But I do think we get some kind of ensemble of the producers who produced Blueprint one that come out with him. Maybe damn I forgot justin. Yeah, that might not happen. Yeah about.
00:53:05
Speaker 4: Him and Bank, well just.
00:53:07
Speaker 2: Bank Kanye, ye, those are the primary but just they don't rock with each other like and yay, So yeah, we might not get that either. I don't know jay Z. He's not doing this for no reason. Yeah no, I think I believe the new music is on the way.
00:53:21
Speaker 1: No, he's doing this because Beyonce said, now you get the work, was like you see all this ship out and did it's talk for you to hit the saves nigga? Let him be reminded that you're not just as billionaire like you this music.
00:53:37
Speaker 4: Well, I will say this fact.
00:53:38
Speaker 2: The I forget. I don't know if it was here or if it was in Texas. I forget what city was in. But when she brought him out to do Niggas in Paris, I hadn't heard it was here, right, I hadn't heard an eruption like that for jay Z and a long felt good man. It felt like he was a brand new artist that with a brand new hit record that people are hyped in here. And I was like, damn okay, because I would have been acting like that, But I wasn't sure that the Beyonce, how.
00:54:07
Speaker 1: Would you have acted?
00:54:08
Speaker 4: How would you what would you?
00:54:10
Speaker 2: No?
00:54:10
Speaker 1: No, oh my god? Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah?
00:54:14
Speaker 4: Without oh my god.
00:54:19
Speaker 1: How do men erupt in excitement at concerts?
00:54:24
Speaker 4: Like yeah, yeah? I think.
00:54:30
Speaker 2: You know what that's and then at the Homies and that's how they acted at the Clips concert when in l A. When when they brought kids. All Your Murder, if you watch any of the videos, all Your oh Ship, because it's the it's the it's the clue, like there's no clues, you just you just figure, oh, nobody's pulling up. And then that part you know after after after Malice goes they do the hook, they hook Thinking's gun And then in l A and then Kendrick comes out in the middle of a tour. Yeah, and it's like, oh Ship, and the album just came out, the Clips album.
00:55:05
Speaker 4: So I will say then I love it.
00:55:07
Speaker 1: Going to concerts in New York spoils you because people go to concerts like, so, who do you think they're bringing out?
00:55:14
Speaker 4: Like, so it's like you're gonna do the big ship to do the big thing. Well, that's the thing. I think we're gonna in this run.
00:55:22
Speaker 2: I think we're gonna see things that we've never seen before because it's like what you've done a million shows, You've done these songs a million times.
00:55:29
Speaker 4: You have to add something fresh to it.
00:55:30
Speaker 2: So I do.
00:55:31
Speaker 4: I wouldn't be surprised. We see and.
00:55:34
Speaker 2: When dead presidents come out, I'm out for dead president. Now this coming on that stage, that wouldn't surprise me at all.
00:55:41
Speaker 1: Hey, y'all clip this if he's wrong. I want to get into some more New York discussion hip hop New York. We have Mason Cameron kind of versus alongside it, Shine versus Ray J and Brandy on their podcast.
00:56:07
Speaker 2: Wait are we gonna play all the clips?
00:56:10
Speaker 1: What did all the clips? We don't have to play all? Do you want to actually summarize what happened?
00:56:18
Speaker 2: Shout out to is what it is? Part Sean was a guest and Mace Cameron asked Mace and Seine about a woman who they have dated around the same time or at the same time, and they spoke on it and it was Brandy from from the clips that I saw from from that partstefully, I don't think it was done and bad.
00:56:39
Speaker 1: But also a king.
00:56:40
Speaker 3: The start of it was it was in the documentary, so the The Honorable Shine documentary. Shine had talked about it. I think in the documentary it was tastefully to kind of the wrong word, but it wasn't messy in the documentary.
00:56:55
Speaker 1: And so then Cam Cam.
00:56:58
Speaker 3: That was literally the first question that Cam asked, and they're sit down because they're both there right there. So Cam jumped right into it and he got a little messy.
00:57:08
Speaker 2: With it, Cam mess you know what I mean, elements, But they kept it clean and then ray J.
00:57:18
Speaker 1: Ray J did not keep it clean.
00:57:20
Speaker 4: Y J went on a stream like nig talk about my sister with no dress around me, I'm gonna poke you in a booty.
00:57:27
Speaker 2: He was doing that ship and and he went on and I won't repeat.
00:57:32
Speaker 4: He pretty much threatened to scrape.
00:57:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, great Jesus Christ.
00:57:41
Speaker 4: Yeah, listen, leave ray J alone.
00:57:43
Speaker 2: At this point, he got other things to be worried about. This is not the one for him to even you.
00:57:47
Speaker 1: Need to be worried about his heart.
00:57:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, take care of yourself. So one of the responses that we saw was they put up on it. It is what it is. Instagram they posted an old clip of ray J getting punched in the mouth. Yeah, in front of in front of a venue and ship they just playing and I'm like, he got the right one?
00:58:05
Speaker 4: Could they again?
00:58:08
Speaker 3: Now?
00:58:09
Speaker 1: However, Brandy did insert herself as well and say that she does not align at all with what ray J is saying and wants to distance herself from him. She also said Shine line on the dick, Brandy said, me and that boy was friends. It was platonic and uh, I don't know. I don't know what that man talking about. So I did want to play this clip, however, because Shine responded to Brandy and he decided to say.
00:58:42
Speaker 3: This this, And this is after Brandy had made a post on Instagram trying to clear it up but also promoting her memoir at the same time.
00:58:52
Speaker 1: And this is Shine replying right here, you took it.
00:58:57
Speaker 4: The wrong way at all your relationship.
00:59:00
Speaker 5: No, she's lying everything that well, listen, everything that I said is one hundred percent truth. In fact, in my Hulu documentary, I never mentioned her name. This is where they started. The late Great Clark Kent mentioned her name and he said it like everybody knows that. That's a matter of historical fact. And if you look at the if you look at the interview, Mason, I Maceon has different opinions, like he's very hard line, he's very extreme. I'm a bit more compassionate, a bit you know, middle ground. So Mason and I were agreeing on everything. So but we agreed on that yeah, So if I was capping Mace, it would have he would have said, I don't remember.
00:59:57
Speaker 1: I have kind of a okay. Because Brandy didn't deny Mace, it's given she deleted that body because it wasn't good. Like like, if we're talking about how women respond, there's niggas that yeah, I know I laid with him, talk about it, and if it comes out in public, you're lying. You are lying on your dick. It never happened. But we only do that to niggas with bad dick or ones that we are embarrassed by, or ones if it wasn't good, you got she gotta own the body of the ones.
01:00:42
Speaker 2: She ran off Shine Shine. Back then, at that point in Shine's career, he was top dog. He was one of the top one of the ones that everybody was.
01:00:48
Speaker 1: He looked good. He had a very short lived career and then went to jail like he was not one of them. He was an up and he was a russo he was on the up and coming, but.
01:01:00
Speaker 4: He had he had no no.
01:01:04
Speaker 2: He was outside.
01:01:05
Speaker 1: He was hanging with the biggest party promoter, did he and.
01:01:08
Speaker 2: He also was a street he was he was a street guy too, don't forget that part for sure. He's from Brooklyn, from the street guy, so I think that time I could see it, she probably was. She fell in love with the allure of what all that looks like, and there was a moment that's it. Who was more likely to be lying about because somebody is lying. I'm not gonna like who was more likely to be lying about this situation.
01:01:31
Speaker 1: Women at a certain esteem m hm, being linked to certain men that they feel like they are above, or that it was a mistaken time. I actually feel like Brandy's.
01:01:42
Speaker 4: Lying here many many a Mace was outside too.
01:01:46
Speaker 2: You said stories about outside.
01:01:49
Speaker 1: But you know what's crazy, she didn't denounce both of them.
01:01:53
Speaker 4: Right, yeah?
01:01:56
Speaker 2: What The thing that's interesting with the Shine thing is that he wasn't like they weren't even talking, like he said, he's more middle of the role. He would just say we dated. So I'm like, it didn't even imply anything the fairious, So why would he lie about them dating?
01:02:16
Speaker 1: Dating is different for different people. Maybe it was a little bit more casual for her. And he said dating because there's guys that have used the D word with me before, And I was like, Nigga, we was not dating?
01:02:28
Speaker 2: How do you. I guess I've never misunderstood though, like a situation with the woman about whether or not we were dating. To me, it's never been confusion about whether I was actually dating somebody or whether we were just friends hanging out of it. Because so I don't understand how you even have a misunderstanding about.
01:02:45
Speaker 1: That, because it could be hear me and this is now me going the opposite way of not saying that Brandy's lying if he was pursuing her romantically and she was just kicking it. Oh, you inviting me to the club. I'm gonna go to the club with you. Oh you want to take me to eat? I'm hungry, but I'm not really. But how much you not being talked about amongst my friends? I'm not like I'm but how'm not engaging with you? And that?
01:03:11
Speaker 4: How many times would that happen?
01:03:12
Speaker 2: Though? Before you be like, because obviously the nigga's gonna press you, not necessarily even on sex, but just he's gonna be saying romantic things to you. He's gonna be letting you know I'm interested in you beyond friends. So how many times do you go kick it with a nigga who you don't like who you know for a fact, like you and you just keep that thing going for months.
01:03:32
Speaker 1: He is a street nigga. These niggas ain't opening up with their emotions saying that they want to like do romantic shit like He's like, Yo, I'm at the club with Diddy tonight, pull up on us. Like how men talk like they could be interested in you and literally just inviting you to be around.
01:03:49
Speaker 2: I don't think it's so.
01:03:51
Speaker 3: I got a question. I got one question for Job, one question for Andy Joh. You first, when Seine says we dated, characterize what you think he means by that.
01:04:01
Speaker 2: When I hear him say we dated, and maybe this is me giving him bum bail, right, but that's a great term. I think of it as like we went to dinners together, we talked on the phonel lot, We got to know one another in a romantic way, even if we didn't have sex, or even if we were having sex. We were talking to each other on a regular basis, hanging out a lot, and I was saying things to you, even if it's not baby, I want to buy you flowers and change your life. He was expressing his interest in her romantically and vice versa. That's how I take it.
01:04:33
Speaker 3: When he says, Mandy, you gave part of it. You said they were racing a body. But when Brandy says we had a quote platonic friendship, what is she meaning by that?
01:04:43
Speaker 1: You know what? This reminds me of shout out to eighty five South and you gonna laugh. I had conversations with hung out at the studio and winning got fucking wings. It pensation with Jack Thriller, and this nigga says that it was a date, bro And so Jack Thriller said that he dated me. Everybody, but men have this idea.
01:05:14
Speaker 2: It's very thirsty from a woman's from Brandy and this is cloud chasey of him to do.
01:05:23
Speaker 1: But there are men that will say that they dated you because you gave them a little bit of attention. He's me eating food with you, Like it's funny because it's why, I say, especially in this industry, right because also at the time they're both celebrities, Like it's why, like there's certain people that will invite me out. Nigga, I'm bringing my laptop. So that's confused, so that this is a work meeting.
01:05:49
Speaker 4: This is not a date like a like no bro.
01:05:57
Speaker 1: Like, let me bring on behind bad let me pull up the colander, Like do you think he and.
01:06:01
Speaker 2: People like him do that to give the lord that something else may have happened. But they'll let you have the theater to my moment. But clarifying because you don't have to say no ship like that. If I was one of them and they said, I was like, that's the homie, that's it.
01:06:18
Speaker 1: However, there's an ego. The double down is also like Brandy is who Brandy is, but also as Shine, he feels like he is who he is. So you're not gonna make me look like I'm like, I'm saying I've got a clown, you know what I mean? So to me, I mean I get both sides for for her to respond, denounce it, and include the promotion of her memoir.
01:06:43
Speaker 2: At the same time, it gives she might have to add a new chapter to that ship.
01:06:48
Speaker 1: Yo. Now, I'm not gonna lie. Do y'all think? Do y'all think Mace or Shine is mentioned in the memoir?
01:06:56
Speaker 4: I mean, how significant is related ships?
01:07:00
Speaker 2: For you?
01:07:00
Speaker 1: Do it right?
01:07:01
Speaker 2: I think she would talk about more of how she came up and the family dynamics, and.
01:07:05
Speaker 3: But she has to do made they had the record together, like it's all out there.
01:07:09
Speaker 1: She has to put that.
01:07:13
Speaker 4: Gonna come up.
01:07:14
Speaker 1: Okay, well let's get Masha, you know, let's get into women asking for the things that they want and actually getting it. This is not a sports podcast, but we talked about the w n b A possibly entering a lockout because they could not come to terms with the CBA agreement. However, per Shams, y'all know, I love me some sham Shams came out and said that the w n b A got the big pay raise they were asking for. So here are the details with what's happening with the w n b A. So we're gonna start with salary cap. Salary cap under the previous CBA was only one point five million dollars. Under the new one, it went all the way to seven million. I'm not gonna lie. These numbers are way more than I thought like they were gonna be able to negotiate this soon super max deal. As we know, we talk about the NBA players that are out here getting the big bucks. A super max in the WNBA under the previous CBA was only two hundred and forty nine k same salary as the president that now went up to one point four million. Average salary of a WNBA player previously was only one hundred and twenty thousand. Average salary will now look like six hundred thousand. The minimum salary, this is crazy of a WNBA player under the previous CBA was only sixty six thousand dollars. I don't know if y'all know you could make more as a manager at foot locker.
01:08:45
Speaker 4: Yeah, I say you can make subway sandwiches and probably six K.
01:08:49
Speaker 1: I think that might be twenty five dollars an hour at forty nick. Like you know, the minimum salary went from sixty six k to three hundred thousand the third round of them. Here the ladies did what the ladies needed to do. They would and if you ask for it, they could soup.
01:09:12
Speaker 2: And just to add to this, this term takes place the next seat, the current the upcoming season right through twenty I think for seven years, so twenty thirty two.
01:09:25
Speaker 4: So I think that before we get to twenty thirty two.
01:09:27
Speaker 2: They're gonna renegotiate again the current CBA because it's gonna be more elevation, right, That was gonna be my question. Seven years is like that's seven years, right, yeah, seven years. That scene, I wonder is that where they had to compromise with the length of time, like, Okay, we'll give you this, but we're not doing this again for every four years. We're gonna have to sit on this. This is gonna be the case. But to your point, oh yeah, sure that sounds good. But if the trajector are going on, what is going on and it gives popping year five, we're gonna get the room yet.
01:10:05
Speaker 4: Yeah. By the way, what.
01:10:08
Speaker 1: This means too for fans who've been rocking with the w NBA. So I was talking to uh my DJ here she actually DJs for the Atlanta Dream and they currently have games out of an arena that only seats like I don't know, eight thousand to ten thousand side, which you could get season tickets for like eight grand a month, I mean eight grand for the season season that is now twenty two thousand.
01:10:38
Speaker 4: I was about to set for this season.
01:10:40
Speaker 1: So if you're talking about wanting these girls to get paid the amount that they need to, overall prices are going to go up in order to do that. And it is gonna come from the same way we talk about the tax paying dollars it's gonna come from. Unfortunately, the fans who have been there and who have been able to enjoy the game at a very wordable rate, those prices are gonna Yeah.
01:11:02
Speaker 2: That is the cost of the starting this thing and the trajectory this is, this.
01:11:07
Speaker 3: Is I think I think some of that is also greedy owners because a lot of the salary crap a lot.
01:11:14
Speaker 1: Of times is tied to the TV contracts.
01:11:16
Speaker 3: And so with the new player's contract running for seven years, the TV contract runs for eleven years, so I'm sure it has that window tied up so they can decide, uh, you know, likely like there might be probably an opt out before eleven years. I think the opt out is probably tied to that seven year mark. So I think the women are probably tying their players agreement to the TV contracts so they could see because presumably when the league gets more money through TV, that's what the women want to share.
01:11:43
Speaker 1: And so like we had a we had an earlier podcast.
01:11:45
Speaker 3: Where we talked about the percentage of revenue that the women shared in. So before it was about nine percent. Now it's getting it's close to twenty percent. So they're getting they're getting it from like overall league revenue.
01:11:57
Speaker 1: I think it's also just it goes to show two. In this era of celebrity. For a decade, you had maybe three to five players. You know, you had the Diana Tarassi, you had Scholar Diggins.
01:12:11
Speaker 4: I like it, Ryl Swoops and you know what I mean.
01:12:14
Speaker 1: But you literally have so many more w NBA players now that are being talked about on the same scale of certain NBA players and celebrities. And they have podcasts now. You got you know, the Agean Wilson, you have the Kaitlin Clarks, you have the Angel Reeses, and you just have more more women being even just discussed in so the league is becoming more star powered as well.
01:12:37
Speaker 2: And to your point about like the season ticket prices, it's kind of like we get it, like the fans have expressed their love for the w NBA, but it's like I.
01:12:48
Speaker 4: Like that you tell me that you love me, but show me that you love me.
01:12:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, like spind that bread that that will tell me how much you love me. I love the compliments and all the things you love coming to the game and all that, but like out your wallet and show me how much you actually love me, and so it'll be interesting to see how that part goes, Like do the fans are they gonna spind that bread? Are they gonna buy those twenty two thousand dollars season tickets and bring their families and and really move because part of it will be part of the growth of the league will be what the fans do.
01:13:17
Speaker 1: It's just hard because we is in over its stats ugly out here, like we're talking about paying for everything.
01:13:24
Speaker 2: We're paying for gas, payp of walls, pas w A players.
01:13:28
Speaker 1: Like the finally Southwest is saying you gotta pay to have your seat clean now, Mike, Yeah, like, oh.
01:13:34
Speaker 4: Do you see you gotta wipe?
01:13:36
Speaker 1: First of all, we might not, but now we got to buy our own, uh disaffected one.
01:13:42
Speaker 2: I didn't should do that anyway, I do that? Yeah, don't outsource hygiene. You can't trust these fans.
01:13:47
Speaker 1: Don't look yomy's looking lost. Y'all may be looking allegedly. Yeah, Southwest is putting a premium cost on seats being cleaned, and so if you want to seek cleaned on Southwest, it's going to come at a cost.
01:14:06
Speaker 2: Wow, frontier it is it?
01:14:08
Speaker 1: What else? It's crazy? Did y'all you were talking about biscuits earlier. Did you file bankruptcy? Whoa well, look at look.
01:14:18
Speaker 2: At yeah disturbed?
01:14:23
Speaker 1: Did you just say they just dropped a new magnant.
01:14:26
Speaker 2: Somebody review and Maga cheese from Popeye, They got a new magazine some kind of don Yeah, there you go, all right, so supreme a major.
01:14:39
Speaker 1: Oh and this is even Miami, unfortunately, which is crazy because mag the sign just bought one. Over one hundred and thirty locations in Florida and Georgia filed for Chapter eleven bankruptcy.
01:14:51
Speaker 2: That is not the places where I thought they got a theory.
01:14:54
Speaker 1: Now, the filing resulted in closure of roughly twenty underperforming locations due to approximately one hundred and thirty million dollars in debt. And so yeah, in twenty twenty six, we can expect quite a bit of closings of franchise. Now, y'all know, if y'all want to, uh look and see what what all the different types of bankruptcies mean, y'all can follow Pinky Cole, who is the owner of Floody Vegan. She's out here teaching all about bankruptcies.
01:15:27
Speaker 2: Like Rachel, Uh, like Rachel being a miss Rachel of bankruptcy is a wild title.
01:15:34
Speaker 1: He said, there's different ones. There's thirty break nine.
01:15:39
Speaker 4: You should have break it down pretty good.
01:15:46
Speaker 1: I don't think there's bankruptcy chapter twenty seven.
01:15:49
Speaker 2: Okay, thirteen and eleven though, if that might be really the canary in a coal mine because when you tell me.
01:15:57
Speaker 1: The coal mine, raisin skits.
01:16:05
Speaker 2: Yeah. Wow, cold on. So, like, if you can't sell fried chicken in the South, where can you say? Where can't you fucking you sell fried chicken? Because you're not You're not selling all the units in Detroit and Chicago and in New York.
01:16:18
Speaker 4: Like, I get it, people, but these niggas going crazy over pop. No, I bet they are.
01:16:23
Speaker 2: But like if you can't do it, and what I said in Florida and in Georgia, Georgia, Georgie, you can't sell. If you can't sell fried chicken here, you gotta close your location. Your business is cooked. I think bo Jangles had something to do with this. Maybe I think they stepping.
01:16:36
Speaker 1: All Jangles is not that good.
01:16:38
Speaker 2: But they they just opened a new one, and they opened the first one I believe in Brooklyn.
01:16:44
Speaker 1: Did they both Jangles and went up to know that's crazy?
01:16:47
Speaker 2: I definitely would not think that that the Mason Dix.
01:16:51
Speaker 4: You know, New York niggas love some south Ship they do.
01:16:53
Speaker 2: You bring Sonics in New York, they go crazy.
01:16:56
Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what it is. It's really, uh the Chick fil As, even with being closed on Sundays. That's that's I ain't even got it.
01:17:06
Speaker 2: But it's not.
01:17:07
Speaker 4: It's not Bigger Fried Christian Fried. It's like my God church that Yeah.
01:17:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, people eat churches chicken a little bit.
01:17:18
Speaker 1: Church churches in.
01:17:20
Speaker 2: The churches better than is it higher than Papaye? So how does Popeyes go go bankrupt before churches? I think there's less churches and I think church to me, like in Atlanta, I don't really see churches.
01:17:31
Speaker 4: That much unless you're in the hood.
01:17:32
Speaker 2: Like you go to Decatur, you go to to Kendler Road, you'll probably see a ch you do, but like you don't really see there's Popeyes on Roswell Road and Sandy Springs there's Popeyes and Buckhead in the airport. In the airport. Yeah, churches is a very specific like correction, bow jank This is not even yo Jason bo. They put a bow Jangles on fifty nine ten Church Avenue in Brooklyn, right in flat Bush.
01:17:58
Speaker 1: Right there where it should be.
01:18:00
Speaker 2: Wait that know, I still like you need some I was gonna say flat Bush, that's where Caribbean people is, so like, what is the what is the soul food culture?
01:18:14
Speaker 1: Is Jamaican?
01:18:15
Speaker 4: It's just Jamaica. Indian got Trinidad, Trinadian food, Jamaican food.
01:18:20
Speaker 2: But is there other soul food? The competition for Popey's New York.
01:18:25
Speaker 4: This is Harlem.
01:18:27
Speaker 2: You saying Pope's and soul food. No, it's not so mean, but it's it's changed Pope's. Okay, those are the two things. And now Bow Jangless around the corner and all that ship that's because of the hyper brand new We got a southern restaurant in New York. Now I feel like boat Jangles.
01:18:46
Speaker 4: People just go there for the biscuits.
01:18:48
Speaker 2: Bojangus open up a Dallas body in Newark, New Jersey, and I'm like, why is it lined wrapped around his whole ship?
01:18:56
Speaker 1: I ain't gonna hold you. That's that's some of the next as chicken the fantasy.
01:19:03
Speaker 4: The Dallas.
01:19:09
Speaker 1: By the way, they are not chicken wings. They are tyrannosaurs. That is, it is not it's like they are this big and you get like three of them on a plate, and that the place of this big. It's ridiculous.
01:19:27
Speaker 4: And then the big old Texas sized drink crazy.
01:19:32
Speaker 1: Now, before we get out of here, we do have to end with a little bit of politics we get into this is America.
01:19:38
Speaker 2: Don't get your sipping off.
01:19:39
Speaker 1: And speaking of lines, the T s A lines across the country are yet out. Now this comes after a lot of political ship y'all. We pretty much are in another government shut down. T s A agents are not being paid, and there is pretty much this course yet again between the red and blue, not the bloods and crips, but of course the Republicans and Democrats on how ICE agents are going to be essentially either integrated into homeland security at the airport or not. And go ahead, I know you got more things to add to this job.
01:20:19
Speaker 2: So this morning, uh, the he's called the border securities are Tom Homan. This isn't a threat anymore. This is going to happen starting tomorrow. Oh, ice will be ICE will be deployed to airports starting tomorrow morning. But the thing about it, and we talked about this on CNN a little bit this morning, and I figured this was going to be the case, was that they're not deploying ICE to the airport to make up for the imbalance of TSA.
01:20:47
Speaker 4: They're not.
01:20:48
Speaker 1: They'll say that that's what they're saying.
01:20:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're not there to help the process be faster. The lines are still going to be long. Ice is just gonna be there. And it was telling what this change people and scared people are gonna be very problematic. And in the statement, it was telling to me that he emphasized when he was talking about when Trump was talking about rolling on ice, and he emphasized Somali people. Mmmm, so this isn't even really about like our TSA is in there, we need some extra security. He's there to take revenge against people that he just wants to fuck with. So what's the criteria to get cool?
01:21:24
Speaker 4: To get.
01:21:26
Speaker 2: Pretty exactly, it's gonna have an accident that they don't like and that's gonna help the lines. No, it's not.
01:21:33
Speaker 1: So you know, you know what they do a king.
01:21:35
Speaker 3: It's like the press police comes out from the White House and it says like due to TSA, long lines and they need this help, ICE is gonna come.
01:21:42
Speaker 1: But then like when when Homan and like Trump get interviewed.
01:21:45
Speaker 3: They say, oh, we're gonna put ice out there.
01:21:46
Speaker 1: And they're gonna go get them and they're gonna check IDs.
01:21:49
Speaker 3: So it's like, you know, it's that same like talking out of both sides faces they do, but for them there's like, oh, we're gonna eat up and like get our quotas.
01:21:55
Speaker 1: By the way, the timing of this is really interesting because starting May seventh, which is also right around the corner, it's you are and will be required to have a real ID. Oh you traveling, So the real ID means you need to have a star on it or you have to have a passport, right, And I think one of the most interesting things that I found out most recently, especially being that they're now requiring you and this is for women, unfortunately, they're requiring you to have certain ideas that match your maiden name in order.
01:22:23
Speaker 4: Oh yeah that part too, right, yeah.
01:22:25
Speaker 1: And talking about this, they're saying that only about forty six percent of the population even has had and so this is gonna get really interesting, not only in terms of midterm elections, but now traveling. The World Cup's coming in World Cup is coming here and you're saying that Ice is about to be in the goddamn airport.
01:22:46
Speaker 2: If you pull the wrong person and in some kind of public discourse, that's not gonna end well in the airport, right And I'm only saying I hope everything is peace, but based on what we've seen thus far, is like, I don't have any optimism that is gonna be peaceful.
01:23:01
Speaker 1: Not only that we have Iran saying hey, niggas still beware.
01:23:07
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it ain't sweet, like she ain't sweet.
01:23:09
Speaker 1: But like tourism in certain areas, and it's just like.
01:23:13
Speaker 2: Well, I fully expect there to be protests inside the airport. At the airport, I expected to get to get bad because like this whole weekend, I was out running errands and I'm out like North Atlanta, and for.
01:23:28
Speaker 4: About four exits there were people I guess.
01:23:30
Speaker 2: They had organized themselves, but they had like fuck Ice protest signs, people standing up there cheering with signs for like at least four and a half miles. So if they're doing that in the suburbs, I fully expect them to bring that energy down to Harsfield Jackson Airport and it's gonna get that much more.
01:23:46
Speaker 1: I ain gonna lie I have my flight to LA It was a seven to twenty five am flight.
01:23:50
Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
01:23:52
Speaker 1: Maybe them lines were wrapped through baggage claim. Yeah, like, and I luckily have TSA pre check, but it took me forty about forty minutes to get through. Now that doesn't sound like a lot for people who don't have TSA pre check because ghetto. So I know y'all are used to sending in those lines. I have digital ID, I'm clear, I have TSA pre digital idea and clear are not even open. It doesn't even matter, mind you. My normal TSA going through at Atlanta Hartsfield less than five minutes.
01:24:25
Speaker 4: Yep, it's pretty smooth for the most part, as busy as it is, you can.
01:24:28
Speaker 1: As busy as it as it is, I go right through.
01:24:31
Speaker 2: What do you think the volume she was navigating to the airport was. I think she was at like fifteen.
01:24:37
Speaker 1: Now mind you, here go yo met. And this was my ignorant moment because I thought it was just for like the hailstorm we had, that's why was canceled and shit like that. I didn't even know we were going through yet another.
01:24:52
Speaker 4: Shut down.
01:24:52
Speaker 1: And at first as well, they were only showing like Houston. But I was like, oh, spring break, niggas don't even care about out fucking water no more. They're all in spring Break. That's just because niggas is in Houston. Yeah, no, it was. It's a lot. If you are traveling going to the airport anytime this week, you got to get there early. I will say lax was a breeze. So there are only certain airports that are being impacted. It's Ligordia, it's Atlanta, It's Houston, it's I think Chicago, DCA, and maybe one more.
01:25:26
Speaker 2: Now they're saying that this is pretty much like the last week that they need to figure this out before there is like a two week recess to vote. So it's like now you're really up against it to like who's gonna blink first?
01:25:42
Speaker 1: And that's another thing y'all need to do. I'm just gonna encourage you to read because the propaganda that is going out right now on these TSA lines are because of the Democrats. Blame Democrats, Dems are the reason and Republicans are literally pushing this narrative that and this is why the Dems are bad, and it's just like.
01:26:03
Speaker 4: Where they understay Read the room too. They know that people are not.
01:26:06
Speaker 2: Educating, they're reading and buying into the social media and narratives. And I had a lot of I had several conversations with people last night, you know, journalist's friends that I'm just like, what do y'all.
01:26:16
Speaker 4: Think of this?
01:26:17
Speaker 2: Because the narrative is that it is the Democrats fault, and like, I guess the the part that I'm trying to figure out is it's not the Democrats fault per se, but the Democrats want certain things change from Ice and how they're going about doing this in order to fund these public i'm sorry, these federal agencies. So the question becomes who does it hurt? More like the pain narrative of TSA agents not getting paid is bad. Yeah, people are broke, and they're on TV talking about how hard it is for them. You know, there's no there's no When they talk about it, they're saying, you know, Congress, get your shit together. They're not saying Donald Trump gets your ship together. They're not saying Republicans get your ship together. Saying Congress, which means all of y'all. So if it's all of Congress, that's much worse for Democrats than it is for Republicans. We're gonna see. I mean you've seen TSA agents. They was giving out boxes of like eggs and milk and just to take home to their family.
01:27:18
Speaker 4: They have to pay for their own parking.
01:27:20
Speaker 1: And that's what they're offering. They're offerings and parking Atlanta.
01:27:25
Speaker 2: In the public, Like, hey, don't give them food, give them gas cards or gift cards where they could just go. And that's where we're now.
01:27:32
Speaker 1: This is America.
01:27:33
Speaker 2: And if you see these people walking into you know, helping out or pushing the wheelchairs like that, yo. Just just like we've shout out the military like thank you for your service, they don't have to.
01:27:43
Speaker 4: That's another they don't have to show up.
01:27:45
Speaker 2: But I think there are a select few that's like, yo, if we don't show up, this ship is done.
01:27:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, thank you for your service.
01:27:52
Speaker 4: Yes, you appreciate y'all.
01:27:55
