00:01:04.359 --> 00:01:09.560
It's Daybreak with Jason Jones on 925 Fox News.
00:01:11.879 --> 00:01:15.079
Hello and welcome to Daybreak with Jason Jones.
00:01:15.159 --> 00:01:25.640
I'm Rob Stevens sitting in for the great Jason Jones this morning on 925 Fox News, our phone number 239-479-5592.
00:01:25.719 --> 00:01:32.599
If you would like to join the conversation here today, uh expecting to hear from Congressman Byron Donalds here in a few minutes.
00:01:32.680 --> 00:01:39.159
And uh there's actually a couple of interesting stories here uh to to bring up with the Congressman, actually.
00:01:39.319 --> 00:01:47.719
So one of the first things that this happened, uh, I believe it was yesterday in the House, but the House passed uh a stock trading ban.
00:01:47.879 --> 00:01:53.560
They just passed a Republican bill that bars members of Congress from buying individual stocks.
00:01:53.719 --> 00:02:02.120
But critics, Democrats, call it a fake ban because lawmakers can keep everything that they own.
00:02:02.359 --> 00:02:07.799
So joining us now to uh talk about this is Congressman Byron Donalds.
00:02:07.959 --> 00:02:08.840
Good morning, Congressman.
00:02:08.920 --> 00:02:10.120
How are you this morning?
00:02:10.519 --> 00:02:11.319
I'm doing well.
00:02:11.480 --> 00:02:12.120
Good morning.
00:02:12.360 --> 00:02:17.400
Uh, Congressman, you had previous uh congratulations, by the way, on passing this stock trading ban.
00:02:17.480 --> 00:02:19.159
I think that that's a great bill.
00:02:19.319 --> 00:02:25.959
Uh, you had previously said that members shouldn't trade individual stocks themselves, but should be able to use a third-party broker.
00:02:26.120 --> 00:02:32.360
Uh, does this bill match that standard or does it leave too much room for personal decision making?
00:02:33.000 --> 00:02:34.920
Well, no, the bill actually went further than that.
00:02:35.079 --> 00:02:47.879
What the bill does is it bans members and their spouses and I think dependent children from being able to purchase uh marketable securities uh stocks, essentially, um, on an individual basis.
00:02:48.040 --> 00:02:54.360
It does allow for members and their families to buy an ETF or a mutual fund, uh, stuff like that.
00:02:54.519 --> 00:02:57.639
It doesn't allow for third-party uh brokers.
00:02:57.800 --> 00:03:13.879
Um so, like if you if you take me, for example, um my broker who's still in Naples, Florida today, one of the most reputable financial advisors, um, not just in Southwest Florida, but all of all of America, they have third-party trading authorization for my uh IRAs.
00:03:14.039 --> 00:03:17.080
So they make those stock decisions independent of me.
00:03:17.240 --> 00:03:18.439
I gave that authority years ago.
00:03:18.759 --> 00:03:19.080
Gotcha.
00:03:19.479 --> 00:03:24.439
Um so it would actually stop members of Congress from even being able to do that.
00:03:24.680 --> 00:03:25.000
I see.
00:03:25.240 --> 00:03:32.199
Um, and also what's a part of that bill is uh uh voter ID uh nationwide in all federal elections.
00:03:32.680 --> 00:03:35.319
That's the exciting part of this.
00:03:35.560 --> 00:03:38.520
So this bill was packaged with voter ID.
00:03:38.599 --> 00:03:43.319
So was that smart leverage to get this ethics reform across the finish line?
00:03:43.479 --> 00:03:47.400
Or uh does this give the Democrats an excuse to kill both here?
00:03:48.280 --> 00:03:50.840
Um the Democrats will make an excuse to kill both.
00:03:50.919 --> 00:03:58.759
It's it's actually a really smart policy, and I give credit to Speaker Johnson and to uh the leadership in the House for getting us through.
00:03:58.919 --> 00:04:02.680
We even had, I think we had about 10 or 15 Democrats vote with us.
00:04:02.759 --> 00:04:04.919
I can't remember the final tally from last night.
00:04:05.080 --> 00:04:07.080
Um, but now it's in the hands of the Senate.
00:04:07.240 --> 00:04:16.360
The Senate needs to do the right thing, pass the bill, send it to the desk of President Trump to be signed into federal law, uh, that yes, members of Congress are not allowed to trade individual stocks.
00:04:16.439 --> 00:04:20.120
And then also we require voter ID in all federal elections.
00:04:20.279 --> 00:04:21.240
It's common sense stuff.
00:04:21.319 --> 00:04:23.960
I think the vast majority of the American people support that.
00:04:24.120 --> 00:04:26.199
Um here's what I think is going to happen.
00:04:26.439 --> 00:04:34.360
I think you're gonna have Senate Democrats oppose this bill and kill this bill by withholding their vote to get an up or down vote on the floor of the Senate.
00:04:34.519 --> 00:04:37.560
Because I think if it went to the floor of the Senate for an up or down vote, it would pass.
00:04:37.639 --> 00:04:48.279
But this is why the Senate filibuster, in my opinion, is a relic of a bygone era that is not helping us um actually make sure we address the policy needs of the American people.
00:04:48.439 --> 00:04:49.080
And this is one of them.
00:04:49.399 --> 00:04:56.680
Yeah, and I was actually going to ask you what what how you think it would deal with the Senate, because the Senate's obviously a big choke point right now.
00:04:56.759 --> 00:05:03.800
Uh so does this have the support to get across the finish line, or or do you really think the Democrats are gonna stop the Senate's tracks?
00:05:04.360 --> 00:05:06.360
Um, we'll see what happens, honestly.
00:05:06.519 --> 00:05:08.680
Um, I think this this should go through the Senate.
00:05:08.759 --> 00:05:10.919
I'm not sure why this would not go through the Senate.
00:05:11.159 --> 00:05:21.639
But again, Senate Democrats are in this position where they just want to stop uh President Trump from doing anything, and they want to stop uh congressional Republicans from doing anything because they think that's gonna help them in the midterm elections.
00:05:21.800 --> 00:05:34.519
Uh but if you're gonna ban congressional stock trading with the House, which the House passed last night in a bipartisan fashion and have um voter ID in federal elections, I I don't see why they wouldn't do that.
00:05:34.600 --> 00:05:35.959
But that's a question for Senate Democrats.
00:05:36.120 --> 00:05:38.040
We'll see what Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats say.
00:05:38.279 --> 00:05:39.000
Yeah, sounds good.
00:05:39.079 --> 00:05:44.759
I love that voter ID was was put into that uh considering the SAVE Act has been uh held up.
00:05:44.920 --> 00:05:50.279
So I would love to get deeper into that, but I actually want to move on, uh uh Congressman.
00:05:50.439 --> 00:06:08.680
You uh recently just introduced the Protecting Rate Payers Act, uh, which obviously is legislation to tackle the uh potential data center issue, and this bill requires data centers to generate their own electricity and water from sources that don't touch the public grid or public water system.
00:06:08.920 --> 00:06:14.360
So your bill requires these data centers to get all their power and water from alternative sources.
00:06:14.680 --> 00:06:21.800
How do you enforce that on existing facilities, or is there going to be any enforcement on existing facilities that are already connected?
00:06:21.959 --> 00:06:24.199
Uh, and what happens if they can't comply?
00:06:25.079 --> 00:06:30.519
Well, the first part is if you're gonna build a new facility, and then the bill is really structured around new facility construction.
00:06:30.680 --> 00:06:36.680
If something's already in existence, that's a deal that was cut um at a local level with state government uh oversight.
00:06:36.839 --> 00:06:38.279
So this is going to be going forward.
00:06:38.360 --> 00:06:47.319
If you're gonna build uh uh one of the hyperscalers, which do require significantly more power and more water, if you're gonna build those out, then yeah, you have to generate your own power.
00:06:47.480 --> 00:06:50.360
This is actually following the executive order from President Trump.
00:06:50.519 --> 00:06:52.680
We want to codify that into federal law.
00:06:52.839 --> 00:07:02.439
And then when it comes to the water resources, um, what's really happening with these new uh data center designs is that they are taking initial water from a public source.
00:07:02.600 --> 00:07:17.959
It could be reclaimed water from a water treatment facility, using that to cool uh the servers, but then they are then but then they can create, and several of the new designs are calling for this, they can create their own on-site water treatment facility so they can recycle the water.
00:07:18.040 --> 00:07:19.800
It's called a closed-looped system.
00:07:19.959 --> 00:07:36.279
And so you have a closed-loop system where that water is recycled in order to continue to cool uh the servers, not drawing new water from from uh the from the aquifers, essentially, uh, which could obviously lower the aquifers for for human beings, for families, for businesses.
00:07:36.439 --> 00:07:38.199
And so that's what the bill calls for.
00:07:38.279 --> 00:07:39.560
It's really common sense.
00:07:39.720 --> 00:07:43.240
And look, I think the data center conversation is it's an intense one.
00:07:43.480 --> 00:07:46.920
And I get the concerns that a lot of people have, a lot of Floridians have.
00:07:47.079 --> 00:07:53.399
Um, but there actually are solutions to mitigate a lot of the major concerns around uh hyperscale data centers.
00:07:53.560 --> 00:08:05.399
Um, my bill addresses those concerns, and and to a degree, my bill is patterned after after what Florida has already done with Senate Bill 44, which was signed into law by Governor DeSantis.
00:08:05.480 --> 00:08:19.800
It's the law in Florida today that a new hyperscale data center will not increase the electric costs of Floridians, and you have to get a use permit from water management in order to make sure that we're not uh depleting the aquifers in the freshwater for the people of Florida.
00:08:19.959 --> 00:08:22.519
So the bill would actually take that nationwide.
00:08:22.600 --> 00:08:30.360
Uh, we actually look forward to seeing this bill getting up getting uh through Congress for an up or down vote, or getting through the House for an up or down vote, and then we'll see what the Senate does.
00:08:30.600 --> 00:08:47.480
Yeah, I'm glad that you had mentioned uh that you took the next question right out of my mouth, actually, uh that that Florida has the law uh that shifts these costs uh and and I just was curious as to like why the need for federal self like this self-generation mandate is necessary on top of that.
00:08:47.559 --> 00:08:52.360
And how would you implement that as governor of Florida, knowing that we already have the state law in place?
00:08:52.519 --> 00:08:55.559
Say this gets through and this passes both the House and the Senate, right?
00:08:55.720 --> 00:08:58.920
How would you implement this on top of Florida's law as governor of Florida?
00:08:59.240 --> 00:09:01.160
Well, it's a great question.
00:09:01.319 --> 00:09:14.120
So the you uh when it comes to utility costs, in Florida, we are a regulated state, so the only way you uh electricity costs go up in our state is that the Public Service Commission has to approve, they call it a rate case.
00:09:14.279 --> 00:09:24.360
The Public Service Commission would have to approve increases in uh utility rates in order for that to be seen in the uh electric bills of Floridians.
00:09:24.600 --> 00:09:38.279
When it comes to the water issue, that's where our water management um districts, we have five of them in Florida, they would be responsible uh for managing where the sources of water for a data center would come from.
00:09:38.440 --> 00:09:47.080
And then also, like which is under Florida's law right now, if the water is coming directly from the aquifer, uh, that there is a use permit that has to be uh met.
00:09:47.240 --> 00:09:51.639
And if you're in violation of the use permit, then essentially to say that Florida can shut off the water.
00:09:51.879 --> 00:09:54.840
And so we've been doing this for a long time in Florida.
00:09:55.000 --> 00:09:59.000
Uh farms, fam uh farms have consumptive use permits for water.
00:09:59.159 --> 00:10:04.679
Um uh businesses have use permits for water, golf courses, they have use permits for water.
00:10:04.759 --> 00:10:12.360
Um, people who typically buy cephros hills, the bottled water that's out of Zephyr's Hills, Florida, they have a use permit for water.
00:10:12.519 --> 00:10:14.519
So we've been doing this for a long time in Florida.
00:10:14.679 --> 00:10:16.519
We know what we're doing, and we're gonna protect our resources.
00:10:16.840 --> 00:10:21.159
Yeah, hey, Congressman Donalds, if anybody can implement that, I think it's you as governor, sir.
00:10:21.240 --> 00:10:24.919
Thank you so much for your time this morning and and coming on daybreak and speaking with me.
00:10:25.080 --> 00:10:28.360
Uh we look forward to to all of the moves you have in the work, sir.
00:10:28.440 --> 00:10:30.039
So thank you, Congressman Donald.
00:10:30.600 --> 00:10:30.919
Thank you.
00:10:31.080 --> 00:10:32.039
Take it easy, everybody.
00:10:32.200 --> 00:10:32.360
Thank you.
00:10:32.519 --> 00:10:33.879
925 Fox News.
00:10:33.960 --> 00:10:42.360
We'll be right back after these work 925 Fox News.
00:10:45.000 --> 00:10:48.679
Check out the new 925Fox News.com and app.
00:10:49.080 --> 00:10:50.200
We think you'll like it.
00:10:58.279 --> 00:11:00.679
Welcome back to Daybreak with Jason Jones.
00:11:00.759 --> 00:11:04.759
I'm Rob Stevens heading in for Jason Jones this morning.
00:11:05.000 --> 00:11:08.440
Our phone number 239-479-5592.
00:11:08.519 --> 00:11:10.840
It's 925 Fox News.
00:11:11.000 --> 00:11:19.000
So President Daniel Ortega just told Nicaragua that there will never be another election.
00:11:19.799 --> 00:11:20.440
Period.
00:11:21.879 --> 00:11:27.960
Our State Department called his socialist regime, quote, an enemy of humanity, end quote.
00:11:29.639 --> 00:11:46.039
So Daniel Ortega, the 80-year-old Sandinista strongman who's ruled nearly 20 years with his wife and co-president, uh Rosario Murillo, declared during the anniversary of the 1979 revolution that elections are over.
00:11:46.919 --> 00:11:51.080
He framed it as blocking Yankee-backed parties from seizing power.
00:11:51.320 --> 00:11:52.279
Yankee-backed parties.
00:11:52.519 --> 00:11:53.960
Why don't you just call me what I am, dude?
00:11:54.200 --> 00:11:55.480
Just call me a gringo.
00:11:55.960 --> 00:11:57.159
That's what you want to say.
00:11:57.480 --> 00:11:59.320
Gringo and Gringa-backed parties.
00:11:59.399 --> 00:12:05.240
You don't want American influence in your country because you're a socialist communist piece of crap.
00:12:05.879 --> 00:12:17.159
And it's interesting because you just saw Venezuela fall not even a year ago and uh get completely uprooted in uh a matter of just a few hours.
00:12:17.559 --> 00:12:19.399
Uh, President Ortega.
00:12:20.679 --> 00:12:36.039
So the regime has already jailed opponents, they've already gone after their opposition, they've rewritten the Constitution to install Murillo and stacked every single institution in the Nicaraguan government with family members.
00:12:37.000 --> 00:12:41.240
NIST simply drops the last democratic mask.
00:12:42.840 --> 00:12:56.919
Secretary Rubio blasted the move as abandoning even the pretense of popular consent and warned that dictatorship facilitates illegal immigration, partners with China and Russia, and destabilizes the hemisphere.
00:12:57.080 --> 00:13:14.679
So while we are battling this mess on so many fronts with, well, Venezuela we've we've handled and we're working through that, but we've still got Cuba, 90 miles to the south of us, who uh apparently is being equipped with drones from Iran so that they can try and resist if we come after them.
00:13:14.840 --> 00:13:25.000
But now you have this socialist power in Nicaragua that's now come forward and ripped the mask off completely and said, Nope, sorry, you don't get another election.
00:13:25.399 --> 00:13:26.440
Never again.
00:13:26.679 --> 00:13:28.519
Never, ever, ever again.
00:13:29.639 --> 00:13:30.360
Scary.
00:13:31.559 --> 00:13:45.399
Ortega's announcement well, formalizes what was r already really there, and that is sham elections, uh, political prisoners, and a one-family police state, essentially.
00:13:45.559 --> 00:13:50.600
If his family ran everything, this is a dictatorship in every sense of the word.
00:13:50.919 --> 00:13:57.080
Now the Trump administration has already hit the regime with visa bans on thousands of officials and targeted sanctions.
00:13:57.320 --> 00:14:03.639
Uh the response is a clear signal that uh business as usual is finished here.
00:14:03.960 --> 00:14:13.799
So now we've got to worry about Nicaragua uh potentially being elevated by China, Iran, Russia, North Korea, our adversaries.
00:14:14.200 --> 00:14:22.840
When President Trump is trying to uh regain and restabilize uh uh relations in the Western Hemisphere.
00:14:24.279 --> 00:14:28.279
So but the the kicker here.
00:14:29.799 --> 00:14:35.399
Every time the left lectures us about threats to democracy.
00:14:36.120 --> 00:14:37.159
Every time.
00:14:37.639 --> 00:14:38.840
This is what they're talking about.
00:14:39.000 --> 00:14:42.679
Remember, Donald Trump's gonna steal the election, he's gonna run in 2028.
00:14:43.960 --> 00:14:47.559
I mean, you know, we say that they stole the election in 2020.
00:14:47.639 --> 00:14:51.559
Well, Hillary Clinton says that Donald Trump stole the election in 2016.
00:14:52.679 --> 00:14:55.320
Trust in the systems is failing.
00:14:56.120 --> 00:15:12.360
But they lecture us about threats to democracy, saying that our, you know, our regime, our fascist Nazi regime, uh, our agenda, essentially, is a threat to democracy.
00:15:13.480 --> 00:15:25.240
But then there's actual socialists in our backyard that just abolished elections and have silenced the voices of the people of Nicaragua.
00:15:27.639 --> 00:15:35.399
You know, I Lord Acton said absolute power absolutely corrupts.
00:15:35.879 --> 00:15:40.600
Now, for if you don't know who Lord Acton was, he he's got a name, it's like seven names long.
00:15:40.679 --> 00:15:41.320
I won't read it to you.
00:15:41.399 --> 00:15:47.320
Lord Acton, he was an English Catholic historian, uh liberal, a politician, and a writer.
00:15:47.399 --> 00:15:51.000
Uh, but he was a strong advocate for individual liberty.
00:15:51.799 --> 00:15:56.919
Our founding fathers knew that this could be an issue.
00:15:57.159 --> 00:16:03.080
Absolute power absolutely corrupts, which is why they created a system of government that included checks and balances.
00:16:03.399 --> 00:16:15.320
The most prominent being, of course, our three branches of government the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of government because absolute power absolutely corrupts its human nature.
00:16:16.440 --> 00:16:20.919
Humans desire power, and when they get that power, they seize that power.
00:16:21.559 --> 00:16:25.240
We see this play out again and again.
00:16:25.799 --> 00:16:31.960
But I think it's important that we have to look at this for what it is.
00:16:32.360 --> 00:16:39.159
This is the socialist communist playbook being executed before our very eyes.
00:16:40.919 --> 00:16:42.519
It's happening right in front of us.
00:16:42.840 --> 00:16:47.639
This is exactly what the DSA and the communists want to do to our country.
00:16:48.679 --> 00:16:50.200
This should be a warning.
00:16:50.360 --> 00:16:53.080
This should serve as a warning to us.
00:16:53.799 --> 00:16:59.799
It took this guy twenty years, but through that time he maneuvered, he seized power.
00:17:00.200 --> 00:17:02.840
He installed his wife as the co-president.
00:17:03.559 --> 00:17:15.799
He installed family members across various institutions and bureaucracies across his government, and then he shuts down the whole thing and says, Nope, it's mine! I control it all, and so does my family.
00:17:16.279 --> 00:17:17.960
And you have to deal with it.
00:17:19.639 --> 00:17:21.000
This is what they're doing.
00:17:21.159 --> 00:17:23.799
This is the playbook that they are doing in America.
00:17:24.360 --> 00:17:34.039
They are using our electoral system to install and elevate their socialist communist candidates that want to destroy the fabric.
00:17:34.200 --> 00:17:37.880
They're using the system against us because they can.
00:17:38.759 --> 00:17:39.559
And they are.
00:17:40.360 --> 00:17:43.240
They're using the system to elevate these candidates.
00:17:43.639 --> 00:17:59.639
I'm gonna make a prediction right now, and you may call me crazy, Southwest Florida, but I believe after the midterms we will have more than a dozen communists in Congress sitting in seats of power in Congress in the National Halls of Washington, D.C.
00:18:00.440 --> 00:18:01.079
It's coming.
00:18:02.360 --> 00:18:08.759
They are gaining traction at an alarming rate because they are sharing a message that resonates with Americans who are struggling.
00:18:08.920 --> 00:18:35.400
But if you look at the people who are advocating for socialism, I don't know if maybe you've noticed this or not, but it always seems to be highly educated but financially poor people, aka college students that got themselves into hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt in student loans and took on a cultural studies degree that didn't lead them to any opportunities but huge debt, and now they want out.
00:18:35.720 --> 00:18:37.880
That's who's elevating and propelling this forward.
00:18:38.039 --> 00:18:39.400
We need to see this as a warning.
00:18:39.559 --> 00:18:41.960
We need to step up and we need to push back.
00:18:42.279 --> 00:18:48.680
Rob Stevens in for Jason Jones on daybreak on 925 Fox News, the 5 at 835 is up next.
00:18:48.920 --> 00:18:49.720
Stick around.
00:18:49.960 --> 00:18:53.480
925 Fox News, right all along.
00:18:57.480 --> 00:19:01.319
As the art signs pop up, this is where it all goes down.
00:19:01.720 --> 00:19:07.000
Primary election coverage done right on 925 Fox News.
00:19:14.279 --> 00:19:15.480
Welcome back to Daybreak.
00:19:15.799 --> 00:19:18.920
Rob Stevens in for Jason Jones.
00:19:19.160 --> 00:19:20.440
It's 837.
00:19:21.400 --> 00:19:29.000
The five at 835 is presented by Southwest Florida Oral and Facial Surgery, specializing in excellent care.
00:19:34.599 --> 00:19:35.319
Number five.
00:19:35.720 --> 00:19:37.000
I'm going to take that.
00:19:37.720 --> 00:19:41.079
I'm going to take you to the boy.
00:20:14.359 --> 00:20:22.599
Orlando, Florida, a UCF student and transgender man freaks out on campus cops for misgendering him.
00:20:22.680 --> 00:20:31.640
And yes, this was filmed some time ago, but it became viral very recently because it was released Friday by Inside the Blue TV.
00:20:32.200 --> 00:20:36.359
Now, I hear I mean, go and see this video if you want to see.
00:20:36.680 --> 00:20:38.680
I mean, this guy is crazy.
00:20:38.839 --> 00:20:40.119
But there's a lot more to this.
00:20:40.200 --> 00:20:42.759
Like they were gonna chase him with pepper spray and everything like that.
00:20:42.839 --> 00:20:45.720
Like they had to really work to subdue this, and I know that there's more to it.
00:20:45.880 --> 00:20:51.240
But I mean, seriously, this they want to be accepted as normal.
00:20:52.440 --> 00:20:53.960
And this is how they behave.
00:20:55.960 --> 00:20:57.240
Is there a problem with that there?
00:20:57.480 --> 00:21:01.960
I mean, there there's something seriously wrong with this person.
00:21:02.119 --> 00:21:05.880
I mean, deeply rooted psychological sickness.
00:21:06.680 --> 00:21:08.039
A parasitic mind.
00:21:09.000 --> 00:21:09.960
But you know what?
00:21:10.200 --> 00:21:13.720
Maybe this is what the culture of participation trophies bred.
00:21:14.920 --> 00:21:23.559
The fact that we raised a whole generation that doesn't know how to deal with the consequences and dynamics of the real world.
00:21:23.799 --> 00:21:34.440
Who think that they can just live in this mental construct of their own making and that everything's gonna be okay and everybody should accept them for everything and anything that they want and say.
00:21:34.920 --> 00:21:37.240
Sorry, that's not how the real world works.
00:21:37.880 --> 00:21:41.559
And I think that this uh is to their own detriment.
00:21:42.200 --> 00:21:42.920
Number four.
00:21:43.400 --> 00:21:51.799
Benjamin Netanyahu, who is a war criminal, the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people, is responsible for the killing of more than 73,000 people.
00:21:52.279 --> 00:21:54.680
As Americans pay for the bombs that do the killing.
00:21:55.319 --> 00:21:59.000
There is a reason the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for his arrest.
00:21:59.640 --> 00:22:08.680
My administration has reviewed every avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant.
00:22:09.000 --> 00:22:13.160
It is clear that we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant.
00:22:13.559 --> 00:22:14.440
Ah, right.
00:22:15.160 --> 00:22:16.680
Because you're a mayor.
00:22:17.720 --> 00:22:29.000
Communist and New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani released a two-minute rant on why Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal and should be arrested and basically killed.
00:22:30.279 --> 00:22:39.079
The mayor of one of America's most critical and important cities is focused on Israel first.
00:22:43.559 --> 00:22:44.680
Does that make any sense?
00:22:44.920 --> 00:22:46.519
Does that make sense to you?
00:22:47.240 --> 00:22:48.279
I I mean.
00:22:50.279 --> 00:22:56.519
You were elected to be the mayor of New York City, but yet you just can't get Israel out of your mind, can ya?
00:22:56.920 --> 00:23:00.759
No, you can't arrest Benjamin Netanyahu because you're a mayor in the IC.
00:23:01.720 --> 00:23:03.319
Is corrupt and full of crap.
00:23:03.880 --> 00:23:06.920
You just made yourself look like a fool here.
00:23:08.200 --> 00:23:14.599
And he's the figurehead for the communists, and he may as well be the most powerful Democrat in the party behind AOC.
00:23:14.839 --> 00:23:18.039
He definitely gets enough screen time to be that.
00:23:18.519 --> 00:23:24.759
But I think it's disturbing that he's more focused on foreign policy that he has no business concerning himself with.
00:23:25.079 --> 00:23:26.680
He is the mayor of New York.
00:23:27.000 --> 00:23:28.839
Concern yourself with your own city.
00:23:29.160 --> 00:23:34.920
This tells us all that we need to know about commu this communist's intentions.
00:23:35.799 --> 00:23:38.440
But you know what's even more disturbing here?
00:23:39.240 --> 00:23:42.440
How many Jews in New York City voted for this guy?
00:23:42.680 --> 00:23:43.720
Number three.
00:23:44.119 --> 00:23:48.759
Southbound Long Beach now making another westbound turn here, finding another gas station.
00:23:49.000 --> 00:23:50.279
He must be low on gas.
00:23:50.519 --> 00:23:52.359
Driver stepping out of the vehicle.
00:23:52.599 --> 00:23:55.000
And oh, he's gonna get gas.
00:23:55.640 --> 00:24:01.559
This driver nervously getting gas, clearly aware of the helicopters.
00:24:01.799 --> 00:24:04.039
He's pretty much on his own down there.
00:24:04.200 --> 00:24:06.440
There's really nobody pursuing him anymore.
00:24:06.759 --> 00:24:08.440
All of the law enforcement has pulled off.
00:24:08.519 --> 00:24:12.359
LAPD has abandoned this pursuit California Highway patrol.
00:24:12.839 --> 00:24:14.119
Just dropping the drop.
00:24:14.839 --> 00:24:23.240
This is uh wild, wild scene here as he just drops the pump and continues on after a quick splash of gas.
00:24:23.480 --> 00:24:29.400
Now back on the run here, but there's nobody behind him as he continues to drive like a maniac through here.
00:24:29.880 --> 00:24:31.720
Los Angeles, California.
00:24:32.680 --> 00:24:34.279
Does that surprise you?
00:24:34.519 --> 00:24:42.759
I mean, it's funny uh that I mean this this reporter, it's he laughs at how absurd this whole situation is.
00:24:43.000 --> 00:24:46.680
So this is a guy, if you want to go see this video, it's out there too.
00:24:46.839 --> 00:25:00.039
Uh, but this is a suspect who stole a car and he stops, I guess, midway through what I guess was maybe a high-speed pursuit, in the stolen car without realizing that police had abandoned the search.
00:25:00.200 --> 00:25:07.400
Now, he doesn't realize right away that he's not being pursued on the ground anymore, and you can see that he's pretty tense when he's at the gas station.
00:25:07.480 --> 00:25:13.480
It doesn't look like he threatens anybody or anything, and he's certainly aware of the helicopters for sure.
00:25:13.720 --> 00:25:18.920
Uh, but I think that this sends a pretty clear message as to what California's like.
00:25:19.319 --> 00:25:25.559
I suppose you can just steal a car, and if you drive long enough, they won't even bother with you anymore.
00:25:25.799 --> 00:25:33.559
I mean, the guy was able to stop for gas in a stolen car, get away with Grand Theft Auto, live on television.
00:25:33.880 --> 00:25:36.200
I mean, that's LA for you.
00:25:36.359 --> 00:25:41.480
This is the kind of lawlessness and absurdity you can expect when Democrats control the ranks.
00:25:41.799 --> 00:25:42.599
Number two.
00:25:46.119 --> 00:25:47.799
Well, thank you very much, everybody.
00:25:48.119 --> 00:25:48.759
Suspension.
00:26:11.880 --> 00:26:21.400
So this is uh President Trump again speaking to that crowd in uh Marietta, Georgia, and this is a very enthusiastic crowd, and and he opened up with that line.
00:26:21.559 --> 00:26:26.680
Uh and I chose this for the five because uh I think it's funny.
00:26:26.920 --> 00:26:33.000
And and did you notice how the first reaction from the crowd was like just genuine laughter?
00:26:33.160 --> 00:26:34.839
Like they knew he was joking.
00:26:35.079 --> 00:26:37.480
Like they knew he was joking.
00:26:37.799 --> 00:26:38.279
Right?
00:26:38.519 --> 00:26:43.880
They all knew this before erupting in cheer because, of course, you know, they love President Trump and that's why they're here.
00:26:44.119 --> 00:27:00.920
Yet the Democrats will still probably try to carry the nonsense narrative that Trump intends to wrest power, be a dictator, and run for the presidency or steal the presidency in 2028, even though the crowd he spoke to clearly got the joke.
00:27:01.079 --> 00:27:02.359
It was actually a pretty good speech.
00:27:02.440 --> 00:27:05.240
He attacked communism in it, uh, but I like that one.
00:27:05.559 --> 00:27:06.359
Number one.
00:27:06.599 --> 00:27:09.000
Trump is still very popular with Republicans.
00:27:09.160 --> 00:27:09.960
Just take a look here.
00:27:10.039 --> 00:27:12.680
Okay, 21st century own party approval rating.
00:27:12.759 --> 00:27:16.200
About at this point of second term, we got Trump, we got Obama, we got Bush.
00:27:16.359 --> 00:27:24.119
Look, they're all fairly popular, but the one who is the most popular, and we have seen this time in and time out, no matter when you look, is Donald John Trump.
00:27:24.200 --> 00:27:30.759
He's the only one who's over 80 percent, 83 percent of Republicans still approve of the job that Donald Trump is doing as president.
00:27:30.920 --> 00:27:32.440
He still has that magic touch.
00:27:32.599 --> 00:27:43.640
We'll see if it carries over to South Carolina, but we've seen it in primaries this year, Senate primaries, and that is because he is still a very popular man, historically popular when it comes to his own party liking and approving of the job that he's doing.
00:27:43.960 --> 00:28:04.440
That CNN anchored John Berman reporting that uh President Trump remains highly popular amongst Republicans, uh, even more so than other recent presidents, and he had compared this to uh other 21st century presidents and their approval rating within their own party around this time of their second term, if that makes sense.
00:28:04.599 --> 00:28:06.119
Uh he mentions George W.
00:28:06.279 --> 00:28:08.839
Bush, whose overall popularity with the party was 78%.
00:28:09.480 --> 00:28:17.720
Barack Hussein Obama, 76% at this point, uh, but Trump's approval surging over 80% coming in at 83.
00:28:18.279 --> 00:28:23.160
Uh now, what's kind of strange is that this uh this is why I picked this as number one.
00:28:23.400 --> 00:28:27.960
This conflicts with everything that we're hearing that Donald Trump's approval ratings are historically low.
00:28:28.039 --> 00:28:29.880
Yeah, maybe among Democrats.
00:28:30.119 --> 00:28:43.559
And yeah, sure, he's facing some crit criticism from uh members of his party because of his foreign policy and his actions in Iran, but it's pretty darn clear that Republicans like Donald Trump more than the media is telling us.
00:28:43.799 --> 00:28:54.599
Oh, and by the way, 100% of Trump endorsed candidates have won in this election cycle if the candidate wasn't facing an incumbent.
00:28:55.000 --> 00:28:57.160
His endorsement carries weight.
00:28:57.319 --> 00:28:59.319
It's going to carry weight in the general.
00:28:59.480 --> 00:29:14.839
He's probably trying to be careful in the midterms, especially down here, because you obviously don't want to alienate whatever Republican you're going to work with, but Trump still has the ability to move the needle and the people still love him, even with everything going on.
00:29:15.240 --> 00:29:17.559
The five at 835.
00:29:18.599 --> 00:29:19.240
All right.
00:29:19.400 --> 00:29:20.680
Uh, I wanted to get into this.
00:29:20.759 --> 00:29:32.839
I don't know if I'm gonna have much time before we get into the break, but I wanted to touch again on that the city of Cape Coral releases 342 Doge audit documents for residents to review.
00:29:33.000 --> 00:29:37.160
Uh, they just made this big dump of audit records and vendor spending data online.
00:29:37.400 --> 00:29:47.240
It's a great move for transparency for the city of Cape Coral, who is in turn also proactively hiring or uh freezing any and all unnecessary hiring in the city.
00:29:47.400 --> 00:29:51.799
Love that Cape Coral's taking the lead on fiscal responsibility and transparency.
00:29:52.039 --> 00:29:53.799
Great job, Cape Coral.
00:29:54.200 --> 00:29:58.039
We'll wrap up next daybreak on 925 Fox News.
00:30:01.720 --> 00:30:07.079
With our new app, you can really take 925 Fox News with you anywhere.
00:30:07.240 --> 00:30:08.680
Except Iran.
00:30:08.839 --> 00:30:10.359
It probably won't work there.
00:30:10.519 --> 00:30:11.559
Or North Korea.
00:30:27.480 --> 00:30:33.000
This morning on 925 Fox News, our phone number 239-479-5592.
00:30:33.480 --> 00:30:40.039
The anti-men, anti-marriage cultural wave is backfiring hard.
00:30:40.279 --> 00:30:45.960
And the data shows that young single women are the ones paying the heaviest price.
00:30:46.440 --> 00:30:47.319
Boo-hoo.
00:30:47.720 --> 00:31:01.319
A new USA Today column by Ingrid Joach highlights the rise of heteropessimism, which is defined as women's growing public disappointment and antagonism towards men and traditional relationships.
00:31:01.559 --> 00:31:18.279
Now, this is a trend that's being fueled by TikTok divorce glow-ups, celebrity scorn, and media, you know, mainstream fake news media that paints husbands as either lazy man babies or toxic patriarchs, as if there's no in-between.
00:31:19.319 --> 00:31:21.640
Sorry, marriage still delivers the goods, though.
00:31:21.880 --> 00:31:28.599
Studies consistently show married women are happier, live longer, and earn more money than their single peers.
00:31:28.839 --> 00:31:29.400
Huh?
00:31:30.200 --> 00:31:30.839
Really?
00:31:31.480 --> 00:31:36.200
You mean traditional American values actually means more money and more success for you?
00:31:36.359 --> 00:31:40.599
Ah, imagine that! The miracle of capitalism.
00:31:40.759 --> 00:31:42.519
The numbers are stark here, though.
00:31:42.839 --> 00:31:52.279
Census data puts married couple households at just 47% in 2025, and that's down nearly 66% from 50 years ago.
00:31:52.519 --> 00:31:54.440
Very, very disturbing trend there.
00:31:54.599 --> 00:32:01.880
And only 37% of those homes still have kids under 18, versus 54% that did in 1975.
00:32:02.119 --> 00:32:04.519
Well, politics and ideology matter here.
00:32:04.759 --> 00:32:17.880
A 2024 American Family Survey found 30 percent 37% of conservative women aged between 18 and 40 report being completely satisfied with life compared to just 12% of liberal women the same age.
00:32:18.119 --> 00:32:20.440
Also, another stark contrast.
00:32:20.759 --> 00:32:23.000
Liberal women are miserable people.
00:32:23.640 --> 00:32:24.920
Does that surprise us?
00:32:25.240 --> 00:32:25.559
No.
00:32:26.519 --> 00:32:29.640
But the cultural messaging is pouring gasoline on the fire.
00:32:30.759 --> 00:32:34.519
But the remedy here is not more man-hating.
00:32:35.799 --> 00:32:39.000
Many young women are just burned out by hookup culture.
00:32:39.079 --> 00:32:46.200
And dating has become exponentially more difficult than it was when I was a young man and I was dating women.
00:32:46.680 --> 00:32:48.680
And I love my wife very much, Danielle.
00:32:48.759 --> 00:32:49.160
I love you.
00:32:49.319 --> 00:32:49.799
Good morning.
00:32:50.119 --> 00:32:51.880
If you're listening, she's probably at work.
00:32:51.960 --> 00:32:52.839
Because you know what?
00:32:52.920 --> 00:32:54.599
She makes a lot of money too.
00:32:54.920 --> 00:32:57.640
Because she works hard and she votes Republican, right?
00:32:58.200 --> 00:33:03.640
But this anti-marriage, anti-men trend is leaving single women less happy and less secure.
00:33:03.960 --> 00:33:07.480
Well, who do you think are the ones that are suffering here?
00:33:07.720 --> 00:33:08.039
Oh.
00:33:08.759 --> 00:33:13.799
Well, maybe, maybe you shouldn't have just hated every man that walked the path.
00:33:14.039 --> 00:33:23.319
You shouldn't have gone on this anti-men, anti-masculinity tirade, this culture that prevents or or discourages men from being men.
00:33:23.559 --> 00:33:50.440
One thing that's actually really exciting to see here is that, you know, not only is this a dating market failure, but uh ironically, Gen Z, the young generation, are more interested in becoming trad wives, as they call them, or traditional wives, which are women that assume the normal gender form in a marriage, right?
00:33:50.519 --> 00:33:57.480
They want to stay home, they want to raise kids, they want to cook, they want to clean, they want to be a homemaker, they want to raise a family.
00:33:57.720 --> 00:34:09.720
There's actually a big uh online social media culture of trad wives and moms that uh are promoting the traditional nuclear family lifestyle, and they're generally happier people.
00:34:09.960 --> 00:34:13.319
Now, why doesn't why don't I want to date you, liberal?
00:34:13.559 --> 00:34:18.440
Because you're a miserable human being and you have absolutely no common sense whatsoever.
00:34:19.559 --> 00:34:21.079
MAGA women are hotter.
00:34:21.559 --> 00:34:23.159
Hate to break it to you.
00:34:24.199 --> 00:34:30.760
Liberal men are way, way more toxic than conservative men are.
00:34:31.400 --> 00:34:32.760
Or they're sissies.
00:34:32.920 --> 00:34:37.400
And I would use the P, but I don't want to get in trouble and lose my job.
00:34:37.720 --> 00:34:38.359
You know?
00:34:38.599 --> 00:34:50.760
What self-respecting woman wants to date some liberal guy with a man bun who complains and whines about everything, doesn't take a shower but once a week, and thinks that the man is the oppressor.
00:34:52.279 --> 00:34:53.159
Nobody.
00:34:53.880 --> 00:34:56.920
Nobody wants to date you when you think like that.
00:34:57.159 --> 00:34:59.400
That's why MAGA women are hot.
00:34:59.640 --> 00:35:02.760
MAGA women are hot because they respect normal traditional values.
00:35:02.840 --> 00:35:03.800
They're happier.
00:35:04.039 --> 00:35:06.680
They're happier people, they're not so miserable.
00:35:06.840 --> 00:35:10.679
I feel like Democrats are the most miserable people in the world.
00:35:11.000 --> 00:35:14.119
Like they can't be happy, so you can't be happy either.
00:35:14.280 --> 00:35:15.320
How about that?
00:35:15.559 --> 00:35:22.119
Well, that's backfiring pretty big on them here in uh in dating here because isn't this what you wanted, ladies?
00:35:22.599 --> 00:35:26.599
Didn't you want this men to back off because you didn't need them?
00:35:26.760 --> 00:35:34.199
Weren't you encouraging women to break up with their men to divorce their husbands because they're MAGA voters and they voted for Trump and they're oppressive?
00:35:34.280 --> 00:35:36.119
Yeah, how did that work out for you?
00:35:36.360 --> 00:35:37.400
Not too good.
00:35:37.639 --> 00:35:41.480
You're probably scrounging the street corners and the bars trying to find your next hit.
00:35:42.039 --> 00:35:42.920
Have fun.
00:35:43.639 --> 00:35:50.360
Vote MAGA, go conservative, think common sense, and maybe, maybe you actually might be somebody to be desired.
00:35:50.599 --> 00:35:53.239
Until such time, get out of here.
00:35:53.960 --> 00:35:54.840
That's it for me.
00:35:55.000 --> 00:35:56.599
This was Daybreak with Jason Jones.
00:35:56.679 --> 00:35:57.639
I'm Rob Stevens.
00:35:57.719 --> 00:36:03.400
The great Jason Jones returns tomorrow on 925 Fox News, right all along.
00:01:04.359 --> 00:01:09.560
It's Daybreak with Jason Jones on 925 Fox News.
00:01:11.879 --> 00:01:15.079
Hello and welcome to Daybreak with Jason Jones.
00:01:15.159 --> 00:01:25.640
I'm Rob Stevens sitting in for the great Jason Jones this morning on 925 Fox News, our phone number 239-479-5592.
00:01:25.719 --> 00:01:32.599
If you would like to join the conversation here today, uh expecting to hear from Congressman Byron Donalds here in a few minutes.
00:01:32.680 --> 00:01:39.159
And uh there's actually a couple of interesting stories here uh to to bring up with the Congressman, actually.
00:01:39.319 --> 00:01:47.719
So one of the first things that this happened, uh, I believe it was yesterday in the House, but the House passed uh a stock trading ban.
00:01:47.879 --> 00:01:53.560
They just passed a Republican bill that bars members of Congress from buying individual stocks.
00:01:53.719 --> 00:02:02.120
But critics, Democrats, call it a fake ban because lawmakers can keep everything that they own.
00:02:02.359 --> 00:02:07.799
So joining us now to uh talk about this is Congressman Byron Donalds.
00:02:07.959 --> 00:02:08.840
Good morning, Congressman.
00:02:08.920 --> 00:02:10.120
How are you this morning?
00:02:10.519 --> 00:02:11.319
I'm doing well.
00:02:11.480 --> 00:02:12.120
Good morning.
00:02:12.360 --> 00:02:17.400
Uh, Congressman, you had previous uh congratulations, by the way, on passing this stock trading ban.
00:02:17.480 --> 00:02:19.159
I think that that's a great bill.
00:02:19.319 --> 00:02:25.959
Uh, you had previously said that members shouldn't trade individual stocks themselves, but should be able to use a third-party broker.
00:02:26.120 --> 00:02:32.360
Uh, does this bill match that standard or does it leave too much room for personal decision making?
00:02:33.000 --> 00:02:34.920
Well, no, the bill actually went further than that.
00:02:35.079 --> 00:02:47.879
What the bill does is it bans members and their spouses and I think dependent children from being able to purchase uh marketable securities uh stocks, essentially, um, on an individual basis.
00:02:48.040 --> 00:02:54.360
It does allow for members and their families to buy an ETF or a mutual fund, uh, stuff like that.
00:02:54.519 --> 00:02:57.639
It doesn't allow for third-party uh brokers.
00:02:57.800 --> 00:03:13.879
Um so, like if you if you take me, for example, um my broker who's still in Naples, Florida today, one of the most reputable financial advisors, um, not just in Southwest Florida, but all of all of America, they have third-party trading authorization for my uh IRAs.
00:03:14.039 --> 00:03:17.080
So they make those stock decisions independent of me.
00:03:17.240 --> 00:03:18.439
I gave that authority years ago.
00:03:18.759 --> 00:03:19.080
Gotcha.
00:03:19.479 --> 00:03:24.439
Um so it would actually stop members of Congress from even being able to do that.
00:03:24.680 --> 00:03:25.000
I see.
00:03:25.240 --> 00:03:32.199
Um, and also what's a part of that bill is uh uh voter ID uh nationwide in all federal elections.
00:03:32.680 --> 00:03:35.319
That's the exciting part of this.
00:03:35.560 --> 00:03:38.520
So this bill was packaged with voter ID.
00:03:38.599 --> 00:03:43.319
So was that smart leverage to get this ethics reform across the finish line?
00:03:43.479 --> 00:03:47.400
Or uh does this give the Democrats an excuse to kill both here?
00:03:48.280 --> 00:03:50.840
Um the Democrats will make an excuse to kill both.
00:03:50.919 --> 00:03:58.759
It's it's actually a really smart policy, and I give credit to Speaker Johnson and to uh the leadership in the House for getting us through.
00:03:58.919 --> 00:04:02.680
We even had, I think we had about 10 or 15 Democrats vote with us.
00:04:02.759 --> 00:04:04.919
I can't remember the final tally from last night.
00:04:05.080 --> 00:04:07.080
Um, but now it's in the hands of the Senate.
00:04:07.240 --> 00:04:16.360
The Senate needs to do the right thing, pass the bill, send it to the desk of President Trump to be signed into federal law, uh, that yes, members of Congress are not allowed to trade individual stocks.
00:04:16.439 --> 00:04:20.120
And then also we require voter ID in all federal elections.
00:04:20.279 --> 00:04:21.240
It's common sense stuff.
00:04:21.319 --> 00:04:23.960
I think the vast majority of the American people support that.
00:04:24.120 --> 00:04:26.199
Um here's what I think is going to happen.
00:04:26.439 --> 00:04:34.360
I think you're gonna have Senate Democrats oppose this bill and kill this bill by withholding their vote to get an up or down vote on the floor of the Senate.
00:04:34.519 --> 00:04:37.560
Because I think if it went to the floor of the Senate for an up or down vote, it would pass.
00:04:37.639 --> 00:04:48.279
But this is why the Senate filibuster, in my opinion, is a relic of a bygone era that is not helping us um actually make sure we address the policy needs of the American people.
00:04:48.439 --> 00:04:49.080
And this is one of them.
00:04:49.399 --> 00:04:56.680
Yeah, and I was actually going to ask you what what how you think it would deal with the Senate, because the Senate's obviously a big choke point right now.
00:04:56.759 --> 00:05:03.800
Uh so does this have the support to get across the finish line, or or do you really think the Democrats are gonna stop the Senate's tracks?
00:05:04.360 --> 00:05:06.360
Um, we'll see what happens, honestly.
00:05:06.519 --> 00:05:08.680
Um, I think this this should go through the Senate.
00:05:08.759 --> 00:05:10.919
I'm not sure why this would not go through the Senate.
00:05:11.159 --> 00:05:21.639
But again, Senate Democrats are in this position where they just want to stop uh President Trump from doing anything, and they want to stop uh congressional Republicans from doing anything because they think that's gonna help them in the midterm elections.
00:05:21.800 --> 00:05:34.519
Uh but if you're gonna ban congressional stock trading with the House, which the House passed last night in a bipartisan fashion and have um voter ID in federal elections, I I don't see why they wouldn't do that.
00:05:34.600 --> 00:05:35.959
But that's a question for Senate Democrats.
00:05:36.120 --> 00:05:38.040
We'll see what Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats say.
00:05:38.279 --> 00:05:39.000
Yeah, sounds good.
00:05:39.079 --> 00:05:44.759
I love that voter ID was was put into that uh considering the SAVE Act has been uh held up.
00:05:44.920 --> 00:05:50.279
So I would love to get deeper into that, but I actually want to move on, uh uh Congressman.
00:05:50.439 --> 00:06:08.680
You uh recently just introduced the Protecting Rate Payers Act, uh, which obviously is legislation to tackle the uh potential data center issue, and this bill requires data centers to generate their own electricity and water from sources that don't touch the public grid or public water system.
00:06:08.920 --> 00:06:14.360
So your bill requires these data centers to get all their power and water from alternative sources.
00:06:14.680 --> 00:06:21.800
How do you enforce that on existing facilities, or is there going to be any enforcement on existing facilities that are already connected?
00:06:21.959 --> 00:06:24.199
Uh, and what happens if they can't comply?
00:06:25.079 --> 00:06:30.519
Well, the first part is if you're gonna build a new facility, and then the bill is really structured around new facility construction.
00:06:30.680 --> 00:06:36.680
If something's already in existence, that's a deal that was cut um at a local level with state government uh oversight.
00:06:36.839 --> 00:06:38.279
So this is going to be going forward.
00:06:38.360 --> 00:06:47.319
If you're gonna build uh uh one of the hyperscalers, which do require significantly more power and more water, if you're gonna build those out, then yeah, you have to generate your own power.
00:06:47.480 --> 00:06:50.360
This is actually following the executive order from President Trump.
00:06:50.519 --> 00:06:52.680
We want to codify that into federal law.
00:06:52.839 --> 00:07:02.439
And then when it comes to the water resources, um, what's really happening with these new uh data center designs is that they are taking initial water from a public source.
00:07:02.600 --> 00:07:17.959
It could be reclaimed water from a water treatment facility, using that to cool uh the servers, but then they are then but then they can create, and several of the new designs are calling for this, they can create their own on-site water treatment facility so they can recycle the water.
00:07:18.040 --> 00:07:19.800
It's called a closed-looped system.
00:07:19.959 --> 00:07:36.279
And so you have a closed-loop system where that water is recycled in order to continue to cool uh the servers, not drawing new water from from uh the from the aquifers, essentially, uh, which could obviously lower the aquifers for for human beings, for families, for businesses.
00:07:36.439 --> 00:07:38.199
And so that's what the bill calls for.
00:07:38.279 --> 00:07:39.560
It's really common sense.
00:07:39.720 --> 00:07:43.240
And look, I think the data center conversation is it's an intense one.
00:07:43.480 --> 00:07:46.920
And I get the concerns that a lot of people have, a lot of Floridians have.
00:07:47.079 --> 00:07:53.399
Um, but there actually are solutions to mitigate a lot of the major concerns around uh hyperscale data centers.
00:07:53.560 --> 00:08:05.399
Um, my bill addresses those concerns, and and to a degree, my bill is patterned after after what Florida has already done with Senate Bill 44, which was signed into law by Governor DeSantis.
00:08:05.480 --> 00:08:19.800
It's the law in Florida today that a new hyperscale data center will not increase the electric costs of Floridians, and you have to get a use permit from water management in order to make sure that we're not uh depleting the aquifers in the freshwater for the people of Florida.
00:08:19.959 --> 00:08:22.519
So the bill would actually take that nationwide.
00:08:22.600 --> 00:08:30.360
Uh, we actually look forward to seeing this bill getting up getting uh through Congress for an up or down vote, or getting through the House for an up or down vote, and then we'll see what the Senate does.
00:08:30.600 --> 00:08:47.480
Yeah, I'm glad that you had mentioned uh that you took the next question right out of my mouth, actually, uh that that Florida has the law uh that shifts these costs uh and and I just was curious as to like why the need for federal self like this self-generation mandate is necessary on top of that.
00:08:47.559 --> 00:08:52.360
And how would you implement that as governor of Florida, knowing that we already have the state law in place?
00:08:52.519 --> 00:08:55.559
Say this gets through and this passes both the House and the Senate, right?
00:08:55.720 --> 00:08:58.920
How would you implement this on top of Florida's law as governor of Florida?
00:08:59.240 --> 00:09:01.160
Well, it's a great question.
00:09:01.319 --> 00:09:14.120
So the you uh when it comes to utility costs, in Florida, we are a regulated state, so the only way you uh electricity costs go up in our state is that the Public Service Commission has to approve, they call it a rate case.
00:09:14.279 --> 00:09:24.360
The Public Service Commission would have to approve increases in uh utility rates in order for that to be seen in the uh electric bills of Floridians.
00:09:24.600 --> 00:09:38.279
When it comes to the water issue, that's where our water management um districts, we have five of them in Florida, they would be responsible uh for managing where the sources of water for a data center would come from.
00:09:38.440 --> 00:09:47.080
And then also, like which is under Florida's law right now, if the water is coming directly from the aquifer, uh, that there is a use permit that has to be uh met.
00:09:47.240 --> 00:09:51.639
And if you're in violation of the use permit, then essentially to say that Florida can shut off the water.
00:09:51.879 --> 00:09:54.840
And so we've been doing this for a long time in Florida.
00:09:55.000 --> 00:09:59.000
Uh farms, fam uh farms have consumptive use permits for water.
00:09:59.159 --> 00:10:04.679
Um uh businesses have use permits for water, golf courses, they have use permits for water.
00:10:04.759 --> 00:10:12.360
Um, people who typically buy cephros hills, the bottled water that's out of Zephyr's Hills, Florida, they have a use permit for water.
00:10:12.519 --> 00:10:14.519
So we've been doing this for a long time in Florida.
00:10:14.679 --> 00:10:16.519
We know what we're doing, and we're gonna protect our resources.
00:10:16.840 --> 00:10:21.159
Yeah, hey, Congressman Donalds, if anybody can implement that, I think it's you as governor, sir.
00:10:21.240 --> 00:10:24.919
Thank you so much for your time this morning and and coming on daybreak and speaking with me.
00:10:25.080 --> 00:10:28.360
Uh we look forward to to all of the moves you have in the work, sir.
00:10:28.440 --> 00:10:30.039
So thank you, Congressman Donald.
00:10:30.600 --> 00:10:30.919
Thank you.
00:10:31.080 --> 00:10:32.039
Take it easy, everybody.
00:10:32.200 --> 00:10:32.360
Thank you.
00:10:32.519 --> 00:10:33.879

Check out the new 925Fox News.com and app.
00:10:49.080 --> 00:10:50.200
We think you'll like it.
00:10:58.279 --> 00:11:00.679
Welcome back to Daybreak with Jason Jones.
00:11:00.759 --> 00:11:04.759
I'm Rob Stevens heading in for Jason Jones this morning.
00:11:05.000 --> 00:11:08.440
Our phone number 239-479-5592.
00:11:08.519 --> 00:11:10.840
It's 925 Fox News.
00:11:11.000 --> 00:11:19.000
So President Daniel Ortega just told Nicaragua that there will never be another election.
00:11:19.799 --> 00:11:20.440
Period.
00:11:21.879 --> 00:11:27.960
Our State Department called his socialist regime, quote, an enemy of humanity, end quote.
00:11:29.639 --> 00:11:46.039
So Daniel Ortega, the 80-year-old Sandinista strongman who's ruled nearly 20 years with his wife and co-president, uh Rosario Murillo, declared during the anniversary of the 1979 revolution that elections are over.
00:11:46.919 --> 00:11:51.080
He framed it as blocking Yankee-backed parties from seizing power.
00:11:51.320 --> 00:11:52.279
Yankee-backed parties.
00:11:52.519 --> 00:11:53.960
Why don't you just call me what I am, dude?
00:11:54.200 --> 00:11:55.480
Just call me a gringo.
00:11:55.960 --> 00:11:57.159
That's what you want to say.
00:11:57.480 --> 00:11:59.320
Gringo and Gringa-backed parties.
00:11:59.399 --> 00:12:05.240
You don't want American influence in your country because you're a socialist communist piece of crap.
00:12:05.879 --> 00:12:17.159
And it's interesting because you just saw Venezuela fall not even a year ago and uh get completely uprooted in uh a matter of just a few hours.
00:12:17.559 --> 00:12:19.399
Uh, President Ortega.
00:12:20.679 --> 00:12:36.039
So the regime has already jailed opponents, they've already gone after their opposition, they've rewritten the Constitution to install Murillo and stacked every single institution in the Nicaraguan government with family members.
00:12:37.000 --> 00:12:41.240
NIST simply drops the last democratic mask.
00:12:42.840 --> 00:12:56.919
Secretary Rubio blasted the move as abandoning even the pretense of popular consent and warned that dictatorship facilitates illegal immigration, partners with China and Russia, and destabilizes the hemisphere.
00:12:57.080 --> 00:13:14.679
So while we are battling this mess on so many fronts with, well, Venezuela we've we've handled and we're working through that, but we've still got Cuba, 90 miles to the south of us, who uh apparently is being equipped with drones from Iran so that they can try and resist if we come after them.
00:13:14.840 --> 00:13:25.000
But now you have this socialist power in Nicaragua that's now come forward and ripped the mask off completely and said, Nope, sorry, you don't get another election.
00:13:25.399 --> 00:13:26.440
Never again.
00:13:26.679 --> 00:13:28.519
Never, ever, ever again.
00:13:29.639 --> 00:13:30.360
Scary.
00:13:31.559 --> 00:13:45.399
Ortega's announcement well, formalizes what was r already really there, and that is sham elections, uh, political prisoners, and a one-family police state, essentially.
00:13:45.559 --> 00:13:50.600
If his family ran everything, this is a dictatorship in every sense of the word.
00:13:50.919 --> 00:13:57.080
Now the Trump administration has already hit the regime with visa bans on thousands of officials and targeted sanctions.
00:13:57.320 --> 00:14:03.639
Uh the response is a clear signal that uh business as usual is finished here.
00:14:03.960 --> 00:14:13.799
So now we've got to worry about Nicaragua uh potentially being elevated by China, Iran, Russia, North Korea, our adversaries.
00:14:14.200 --> 00:14:22.840
When President Trump is trying to uh regain and restabilize uh uh relations in the Western Hemisphere.
00:14:24.279 --> 00:14:28.279
So but the the kicker here.
00:14:29.799 --> 00:14:35.399
Every time the left lectures us about threats to democracy.
00:14:36.120 --> 00:14:37.159
Every time.
00:14:37.639 --> 00:14:38.840
This is what they're talking about.
00:14:39.000 --> 00:14:42.679
Remember, Donald Trump's gonna steal the election, he's gonna run in 2028.
00:14:43.960 --> 00:14:47.559
I mean, you know, we say that they stole the election in 2020.
00:14:47.639 --> 00:14:51.559
Well, Hillary Clinton says that Donald Trump stole the election in 2016.
00:14:52.679 --> 00:14:55.320
Trust in the systems is failing.
00:14:56.120 --> 00:15:12.360
But they lecture us about threats to democracy, saying that our, you know, our regime, our fascist Nazi regime, uh, our agenda, essentially, is a threat to democracy.
00:15:13.480 --> 00:15:25.240
But then there's actual socialists in our backyard that just abolished elections and have silenced the voices of the people of Nicaragua.
00:15:27.639 --> 00:15:35.399
You know, I Lord Acton said absolute power absolutely corrupts.
00:15:35.879 --> 00:15:40.600
Now, for if you don't know who Lord Acton was, he he's got a name, it's like seven names long.
00:15:40.679 --> 00:15:41.320
I won't read it to you.
00:15:41.399 --> 00:15:47.320
Lord Acton, he was an English Catholic historian, uh liberal, a politician, and a writer.
00:15:47.399 --> 00:15:51.000
Uh, but he was a strong advocate for individual liberty.
00:15:51.799 --> 00:15:56.919
Our founding fathers knew that this could be an issue.
00:15:57.159 --> 00:16:03.080
Absolute power absolutely corrupts, which is why they created a system of government that included checks and balances.
00:16:03.399 --> 00:16:15.320
The most prominent being, of course, our three branches of government the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of government because absolute power absolutely corrupts its human nature.
00:16:16.440 --> 00:16:20.919
Humans desire power, and when they get that power, they seize that power.
00:16:21.559 --> 00:16:25.240
We see this play out again and again.
00:16:25.799 --> 00:16:31.960
But I think it's important that we have to look at this for what it is.
00:16:32.360 --> 00:16:39.159
This is the socialist communist playbook being executed before our very eyes.
00:16:40.919 --> 00:16:42.519
It's happening right in front of us.
00:16:42.840 --> 00:16:47.639
This is exactly what the DSA and the communists want to do to our country.
00:16:48.679 --> 00:16:50.200
This should be a warning.
00:16:50.360 --> 00:16:53.080
This should serve as a warning to us.
00:16:53.799 --> 00:16:59.799
It took this guy twenty years, but through that time he maneuvered, he seized power.
00:17:00.200 --> 00:17:02.840
He installed his wife as the co-president.
00:17:03.559 --> 00:17:15.799
He installed family members across various institutions and bureaucracies across his government, and then he shuts down the whole thing and says, Nope, it's mine! I control it all, and so does my family.
00:17:16.279 --> 00:17:17.960
And you have to deal with it.
00:17:19.639 --> 00:17:21.000
This is what they're doing.
00:17:21.159 --> 00:17:23.799
This is the playbook that they are doing in America.
00:17:24.360 --> 00:17:34.039
They are using our electoral system to install and elevate their socialist communist candidates that want to destroy the fabric.
00:17:34.200 --> 00:17:37.880
They're using the system against us because they can.
00:17:38.759 --> 00:17:39.559
And they are.
00:17:40.360 --> 00:17:43.240
They're using the system to elevate these candidates.
00:17:43.639 --> 00:17:59.639
I'm gonna make a prediction right now, and you may call me crazy, Southwest Florida, but I believe after the midterms we will have more than a dozen communists in Congress sitting in seats of power in Congress in the National Halls of Washington, D.C.
00:18:00.440 --> 00:18:01.079
It's coming.
00:18:02.360 --> 00:18:08.759
They are gaining traction at an alarming rate because they are sharing a message that resonates with Americans who are struggling.
00:18:08.920 --> 00:18:35.400
00:18:35.720 --> 00:18:37.880
That's who's elevating and propelling this forward.
00:18:38.039 --> 00:18:39.400
We need to see this as a warning.
00:18:39.559 --> 00:18:41.960
We need to step up and we need to push back.
00:18:42.279 --> 00:18:48.680
Rob Stevens in for Jason Jones on daybreak on 925 Fox News, the 5 at 835 is up next.
00:18:48.920 --> 00:18:49.720
Stick around.
00:18:49.960 --> 00:18:53.480
925 Fox News, right all along.
00:18:57.480 --> 00:19:01.319
As the art signs pop up, this is where it all goes down.
00:19:01.720 --> 00:19:07.000
Primary election coverage done right on 925 Fox News.
00:19:14.279 --> 00:19:15.480
Welcome back to Daybreak.
00:19:15.799 --> 00:19:18.920
Rob Stevens in for Jason Jones.
00:19:19.160 --> 00:19:20.440
It's 837.
00:19:21.400 --> 00:19:29.000
The five at 835 is presented by Southwest Florida Oral and Facial Surgery, specializing in excellent care.
00:19:34.599 --> 00:19:35.319
Number five.
00:19:35.720 --> 00:19:37.000
I'm going to take that.
00:19:37.720 --> 00:19:41.079
I'm going to take you to the boy.
00:20:14.359 --> 00:20:22.599
Orlando, Florida, a UCF student and transgender man freaks out on campus cops for misgendering him.
00:20:22.680 --> 00:20:31.640
And yes, this was filmed some time ago, but it became viral very recently because it was released Friday by Inside the Blue TV.
00:20:32.200 --> 00:20:36.359
Now, I hear I mean, go and see this video if you want to see.
00:20:36.680 --> 00:20:38.680
I mean, this guy is crazy.
00:20:38.839 --> 00:20:40.119
But there's a lot more to this.
00:20:40.200 --> 00:20:42.759
Like they were gonna chase him with pepper spray and everything like that.
00:20:42.839 --> 00:20:45.720
Like they had to really work to subdue this, and I know that there's more to it.
00:20:45.880 --> 00:20:51.240
But I mean, seriously, this they want to be accepted as normal.
00:20:52.440 --> 00:20:53.960
And this is how they behave.
00:20:55.960 --> 00:20:57.240
Is there a problem with that there?
00:20:57.480 --> 00:21:01.960
I mean, there there's something seriously wrong with this person.
00:21:02.119 --> 00:21:05.880
I mean, deeply rooted psychological sickness.
00:21:06.680 --> 00:21:08.039
A parasitic mind.
00:21:09.000 --> 00:21:09.960
But you know what?
00:21:10.200 --> 00:21:13.720
Maybe this is what the culture of participation trophies bred.
00:21:14.920 --> 00:21:23.559
The fact that we raised a whole generation that doesn't know how to deal with the consequences and dynamics of the real world.
00:21:23.799 --> 00:21:34.440
Who think that they can just live in this mental construct of their own making and that everything's gonna be okay and everybody should accept them for everything and anything that they want and say.
00:21:34.920 --> 00:21:37.240
Sorry, that's not how the real world works.
00:21:37.880 --> 00:21:41.559
And I think that this uh is to their own detriment.
00:21:42.200 --> 00:21:42.920
Number four.
00:21:43.400 --> 00:21:51.799
Benjamin Netanyahu, who is a war criminal, the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people, is responsible for the killing of more than 73,000 people.
00:21:52.279 --> 00:21:54.680
As Americans pay for the bombs that do the killing.
00:21:55.319 --> 00:21:59.000
There is a reason the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for his arrest.
00:21:59.640 --> 00:22:08.680
My administration has reviewed every avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant.
00:22:09.000 --> 00:22:13.160
It is clear that we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant.
00:22:13.559 --> 00:22:14.440
Ah, right.
00:22:15.160 --> 00:22:16.680
Because you're a mayor.
00:22:17.720 --> 00:22:29.000
Communist and New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani released a two-minute rant on why Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal and should be arrested and basically killed.
00:22:30.279 --> 00:22:39.079
The mayor of one of America's most critical and important cities is focused on Israel first.
00:22:43.559 --> 00:22:44.680
Does that make any sense?
00:22:44.920 --> 00:22:46.519
Does that make sense to you?
00:22:47.240 --> 00:22:48.279
I I mean.
00:22:50.279 --> 00:22:56.519
You were elected to be the mayor of New York City, but yet you just can't get Israel out of your mind, can ya?
00:22:56.920 --> 00:23:00.759
No, you can't arrest Benjamin Netanyahu because you're a mayor in the IC.
00:23:01.720 --> 00:23:03.319
Is corrupt and full of crap.
00:23:03.880 --> 00:23:06.920
You just made yourself look like a fool here.
00:23:08.200 --> 00:23:14.599
And he's the figurehead for the communists, and he may as well be the most powerful Democrat in the party behind AOC.
00:23:14.839 --> 00:23:18.039
He definitely gets enough screen time to be that.
00:23:18.519 --> 00:23:24.759
But I think it's disturbing that he's more focused on foreign policy that he has no business concerning himself with.
00:23:25.079 --> 00:23:26.680
He is the mayor of New York.
00:23:27.000 --> 00:23:28.839
Concern yourself with your own city.
00:23:29.160 --> 00:23:34.920
This tells us all that we need to know about commu this communist's intentions.
00:23:35.799 --> 00:23:38.440
But you know what's even more disturbing here?
00:23:39.240 --> 00:23:42.440
How many Jews in New York City voted for this guy?
00:23:42.680 --> 00:23:43.720
Number three.
00:23:44.119 --> 00:23:48.759
Southbound Long Beach now making another westbound turn here, finding another gas station.
00:23:49.000 --> 00:23:50.279
He must be low on gas.
00:23:50.519 --> 00:23:52.359
Driver stepping out of the vehicle.
00:23:52.599 --> 00:23:55.000
And oh, he's gonna get gas.
00:23:55.640 --> 00:24:01.559
This driver nervously getting gas, clearly aware of the helicopters.
00:24:01.799 --> 00:24:04.039
He's pretty much on his own down there.
00:24:04.200 --> 00:24:06.440
There's really nobody pursuing him anymore.
00:24:06.759 --> 00:24:08.440
All of the law enforcement has pulled off.
00:24:08.519 --> 00:24:12.359
LAPD has abandoned this pursuit California Highway patrol.
00:24:12.839 --> 00:24:14.119
Just dropping the drop.
00:24:14.839 --> 00:24:23.240
This is uh wild, wild scene here as he just drops the pump and continues on after a quick splash of gas.
00:24:23.480 --> 00:24:29.400
Now back on the run here, but there's nobody behind him as he continues to drive like a maniac through here.
00:24:29.880 --> 00:24:31.720
Los Angeles, California.
00:24:32.680 --> 00:24:34.279
Does that surprise you?
00:24:34.519 --> 00:24:42.759
I mean, it's funny uh that I mean this this reporter, it's he laughs at how absurd this whole situation is.
00:24:43.000 --> 00:24:46.680
So this is a guy, if you want to go see this video, it's out there too.
00:24:46.839 --> 00:25:00.039
Uh, but this is a suspect who stole a car and he stops, I guess, midway through what I guess was maybe a high-speed pursuit, in the stolen car without realizing that police had abandoned the search.
00:25:00.200 --> 00:25:07.400
Now, he doesn't realize right away that he's not being pursued on the ground anymore, and you can see that he's pretty tense when he's at the gas station.
00:25:07.480 --> 00:25:13.480
It doesn't look like he threatens anybody or anything, and he's certainly aware of the helicopters for sure.
00:25:13.720 --> 00:25:18.920
Uh, but I think that this sends a pretty clear message as to what California's like.
00:25:19.319 --> 00:25:25.559
I suppose you can just steal a car, and if you drive long enough, they won't even bother with you anymore.
00:25:25.799 --> 00:25:33.559
I mean, the guy was able to stop for gas in a stolen car, get away with Grand Theft Auto, live on television.
00:25:33.880 --> 00:25:36.200
I mean, that's LA for you.
00:25:36.359 --> 00:25:41.480
This is the kind of lawlessness and absurdity you can expect when Democrats control the ranks.
00:25:41.799 --> 00:25:42.599
Number two.
00:25:46.119 --> 00:25:47.799
Well, thank you very much, everybody.
00:25:48.119 --> 00:25:48.759
Suspension.
00:26:11.880 --> 00:26:21.400
So this is uh President Trump again speaking to that crowd in uh Marietta, Georgia, and this is a very enthusiastic crowd, and and he opened up with that line.
00:26:21.559 --> 00:26:26.680
Uh and I chose this for the five because uh I think it's funny.
00:26:26.920 --> 00:26:33.000
And and did you notice how the first reaction from the crowd was like just genuine laughter?
00:26:33.160 --> 00:26:34.839
Like they knew he was joking.
00:26:35.079 --> 00:26:37.480
Like they knew he was joking.
00:26:37.799 --> 00:26:38.279
Right?
00:26:38.519 --> 00:26:43.880
They all knew this before erupting in cheer because, of course, you know, they love President Trump and that's why they're here.
00:26:44.119 --> 00:27:00.920
Yet the Democrats will still probably try to carry the nonsense narrative that Trump intends to wrest power, be a dictator, and run for the presidency or steal the presidency in 2028, even though the crowd he spoke to clearly got the joke.
00:27:01.079 --> 00:27:02.359
It was actually a pretty good speech.
00:27:02.440 --> 00:27:05.240
He attacked communism in it, uh, but I like that one.
00:27:05.559 --> 00:27:06.359
Number one.
00:27:06.599 --> 00:27:09.000
Trump is still very popular with Republicans.
00:27:09.160 --> 00:27:09.960
Just take a look here.
00:27:10.039 --> 00:27:12.680
Okay, 21st century own party approval rating.
00:27:12.759 --> 00:27:16.200
About at this point of second term, we got Trump, we got Obama, we got Bush.
00:27:16.359 --> 00:27:24.119
Look, they're all fairly popular, but the one who is the most popular, and we have seen this time in and time out, no matter when you look, is Donald John Trump.
00:27:24.200 --> 00:27:30.759
He's the only one who's over 80 percent, 83 percent of Republicans still approve of the job that Donald Trump is doing as president.
00:27:30.920 --> 00:27:32.440
He still has that magic touch.
00:27:32.599 --> 00:27:43.640
We'll see if it carries over to South Carolina, but we've seen it in primaries this year, Senate primaries, and that is because he is still a very popular man, historically popular when it comes to his own party liking and approving of the job that he's doing.
00:27:43.960 --> 00:28:04.440
That CNN anchored John Berman reporting that uh President Trump remains highly popular amongst Republicans, uh, even more so than other recent presidents, and he had compared this to uh other 21st century presidents and their approval rating within their own party around this time of their second term, if that makes sense.
00:28:04.599 --> 00:28:06.119
Uh he mentions George W.
00:28:06.279 --> 00:28:08.839
Bush, whose overall popularity with the party was 78%.
00:28:09.480 --> 00:28:17.720
Barack Hussein Obama, 76% at this point, uh, but Trump's approval surging over 80% coming in at 83.
00:28:18.279 --> 00:28:23.160
Uh now, what's kind of strange is that this uh this is why I picked this as number one.
00:28:23.400 --> 00:28:27.960
This conflicts with everything that we're hearing that Donald Trump's approval ratings are historically low.
00:28:28.039 --> 00:28:29.880
Yeah, maybe among Democrats.
00:28:30.119 --> 00:28:43.559
And yeah, sure, he's facing some crit criticism from uh members of his party because of his foreign policy and his actions in Iran, but it's pretty darn clear that Republicans like Donald Trump more than the media is telling us.
00:28:43.799 --> 00:28:54.599
Oh, and by the way, 100% of Trump endorsed candidates have won in this election cycle if the candidate wasn't facing an incumbent.
00:28:55.000 --> 00:28:57.160
His endorsement carries weight.
00:28:57.319 --> 00:28:59.319
It's going to carry weight in the general.
00:28:59.480 --> 00:29:14.839
He's probably trying to be careful in the midterms, especially down here, because you obviously don't want to alienate whatever Republican you're going to work with, but Trump still has the ability to move the needle and the people still love him, even with everything going on.
00:29:15.240 --> 00:29:17.559
The five at 835.
00:29:18.599 --> 00:29:19.240
All right.
00:29:19.400 --> 00:29:20.680
Uh, I wanted to get into this.
00:29:20.759 --> 00:29:32.839
I don't know if I'm gonna have much time before we get into the break, but I wanted to touch again on that the city of Cape Coral releases 342 Doge audit documents for residents to review.
00:29:33.000 --> 00:29:37.160
Uh, they just made this big dump of audit records and vendor spending data online.
00:29:37.400 --> 00:29:47.240
It's a great move for transparency for the city of Cape Coral, who is in turn also proactively hiring or uh freezing any and all unnecessary hiring in the city.
00:29:47.400 --> 00:29:51.799
Love that Cape Coral's taking the lead on fiscal responsibility and transparency.
00:29:52.039 --> 00:29:53.799
Great job, Cape Coral.
00:29:54.200 --> 00:29:58.039
We'll wrap up next daybreak on 925 Fox News.
00:30:01.720 --> 00:30:07.079
With our new app, you can really take 925 Fox News with you anywhere.
00:30:07.240 --> 00:30:08.680
Except Iran.
00:30:08.839 --> 00:30:10.359
It probably won't work there.
00:30:10.519 --> 00:30:11.559
Or North Korea.
00:30:27.480 --> 00:30:33.000
This morning on 925 Fox News, our phone number 239-479-5592.
00:30:33.480 --> 00:30:40.039
The anti-men, anti-marriage cultural wave is backfiring hard.
00:30:40.279 --> 00:30:45.960
And the data shows that young single women are the ones paying the heaviest price.
00:30:46.440 --> 00:30:47.319
Boo-hoo.
00:30:47.720 --> 00:31:01.319
A new USA Today column by Ingrid Joach highlights the rise of heteropessimism, which is defined as women's growing public disappointment and antagonism towards men and traditional relationships.
00:31:01.559 --> 00:31:18.279
Now, this is a trend that's being fueled by TikTok divorce glow-ups, celebrity scorn, and media, you know, mainstream fake news media that paints husbands as either lazy man babies or toxic patriarchs, as if there's no in-between.
00:31:19.319 --> 00:31:21.640
Sorry, marriage still delivers the goods, though.
00:31:21.880 --> 00:31:28.599
Studies consistently show married women are happier, live longer, and earn more money than their single peers.
00:31:28.839 --> 00:31:29.400
Huh?
00:31:30.200 --> 00:31:30.839
Really?
00:31:31.480 --> 00:31:36.200
You mean traditional American values actually means more money and more success for you?
00:31:36.359 --> 00:31:40.599
Ah, imagine that! The miracle of capitalism.
00:31:40.759 --> 00:31:42.519
The numbers are stark here, though.
00:31:42.839 --> 00:31:52.279
Census data puts married couple households at just 47% in 2025, and that's down nearly 66% from 50 years ago.
00:31:52.519 --> 00:31:54.440
Very, very disturbing trend there.
00:31:54.599 --> 00:32:01.880
And only 37% of those homes still have kids under 18, versus 54% that did in 1975.
00:32:02.119 --> 00:32:04.519
Well, politics and ideology matter here.
00:32:04.759 --> 00:32:17.880
A 2024 American Family Survey found 30 percent 37% of conservative women aged between 18 and 40 report being completely satisfied with life compared to just 12% of liberal women the same age.
00:32:18.119 --> 00:32:20.440
Also, another stark contrast.
00:32:20.759 --> 00:32:23.000
Liberal women are miserable people.
00:32:23.640 --> 00:32:24.920
Does that surprise us?
00:32:25.240 --> 00:32:25.559
No.
00:32:26.519 --> 00:32:29.640
But the cultural messaging is pouring gasoline on the fire.
00:32:30.759 --> 00:32:34.519
But the remedy here is not more man-hating.
00:32:35.799 --> 00:32:39.000
Many young women are just burned out by hookup culture.
00:32:39.079 --> 00:32:46.200
And dating has become exponentially more difficult than it was when I was a young man and I was dating women.
00:32:46.680 --> 00:32:48.680
And I love my wife very much, Danielle.
00:32:48.759 --> 00:32:49.160
I love you.
00:32:49.319 --> 00:32:49.799
Good morning.
00:32:50.119 --> 00:32:51.880
If you're listening, she's probably at work.
00:32:51.960 --> 00:32:52.839
Because you know what?
00:32:52.920 --> 00:32:54.599
She makes a lot of money too.
00:32:54.920 --> 00:32:57.640
Because she works hard and she votes Republican, right?
00:32:58.200 --> 00:33:03.640
But this anti-marriage, anti-men trend is leaving single women less happy and less secure.
00:33:03.960 --> 00:33:07.480
Well, who do you think are the ones that are suffering here?
00:33:07.720 --> 00:33:08.039
Oh.
00:33:08.759 --> 00:33:13.799
Well, maybe, maybe you shouldn't have just hated every man that walked the path.
00:33:14.039 --> 00:33:23.319
You shouldn't have gone on this anti-men, anti-masculinity tirade, this culture that prevents or or discourages men from being men.
00:33:23.559 --> 00:33:50.440
One thing that's actually really exciting to see here is that, you know, not only is this a dating market failure, but uh ironically, Gen Z, the young generation, are more interested in becoming trad wives, as they call them, or traditional wives, which are women that assume the normal gender form in a marriage, right?
00:33:50.519 --> 00:33:57.480
They want to stay home, they want to raise kids, they want to cook, they want to clean, they want to be a homemaker, they want to raise a family.
00:33:57.720 --> 00:34:09.720
There's actually a big uh online social media culture of trad wives and moms that uh are promoting the traditional nuclear family lifestyle, and they're generally happier people.
00:34:09.960 --> 00:34:13.319
Now, why doesn't why don't I want to date you, liberal?
00:34:13.559 --> 00:34:18.440
Because you're a miserable human being and you have absolutely no common sense whatsoever.
00:34:19.559 --> 00:34:21.079
MAGA women are hotter.
00:34:21.559 --> 00:34:23.159
Hate to break it to you.
00:34:24.199 --> 00:34:30.760
Liberal men are way, way more toxic than conservative men are.
00:34:31.400 --> 00:34:32.760
Or they're sissies.
00:34:32.920 --> 00:34:37.400
And I would use the P, but I don't want to get in trouble and lose my job.
00:34:37.720 --> 00:34:38.359
You know?
00:34:38.599 --> 00:34:50.760
What self-respecting woman wants to date some liberal guy with a man bun who complains and whines about everything, doesn't take a shower but once a week, and thinks that the man is the oppressor.
00:34:52.279 --> 00:34:53.159
Nobody.
00:34:53.880 --> 00:34:56.920
Nobody wants to date you when you think like that.
00:34:57.159 --> 00:34:59.400
That's why MAGA women are hot.
00:34:59.640 --> 00:35:02.760
MAGA women are hot because they respect normal traditional values.
00:35:02.840 --> 00:35:03.800
They're happier.
00:35:04.039 --> 00:35:06.680
They're happier people, they're not so miserable.
00:35:06.840 --> 00:35:10.679
I feel like Democrats are the most miserable people in the world.
00:35:11.000 --> 00:35:14.119
Like they can't be happy, so you can't be happy either.
00:35:14.280 --> 00:35:15.320
How about that?
00:35:15.559 --> 00:35:22.119
Well, that's backfiring pretty big on them here in uh in dating here because isn't this what you wanted, ladies?
00:35:22.599 --> 00:35:26.599
Didn't you want this men to back off because you didn't need them?
00:35:26.760 --> 00:35:34.199
Weren't you encouraging women to break up with their men to divorce their husbands because they're MAGA voters and they voted for Trump and they're oppressive?
00:35:34.280 --> 00:35:36.119
Yeah, how did that work out for you?
00:35:36.360 --> 00:35:37.400
Not too good.
00:35:37.639 --> 00:35:41.480
You're probably scrounging the street corners and the bars trying to find your next hit.
00:35:42.039 --> 00:35:42.920
Have fun.
00:35:43.639 --> 00:35:50.360
Vote MAGA, go conservative, think common sense, and maybe, maybe you actually might be somebody to be desired.
00:35:50.599 --> 00:35:53.239
Until such time, get out of here.
00:35:53.960 --> 00:35:54.840
That's it for me.
00:35:55.000 --> 00:35:56.599
This was Daybreak with Jason Jones.
00:35:56.679 --> 00:35:57.639
I'm Rob Stevens.
00:35:57.719 --> 00:36:03.400
The great Jason Jones returns tomorrow on 925 Fox News, right all along.
