One Last Sunset (Part I)

This podcast is dedicated to a dear friend who has left us to party with the angels. He introduced me to the art of DJ'ing and taught me to listen to music with all my senses.
I believe that music has a spirit… a memory. If you not only hear the music, but you visualize it, you feel it in your heart, almost taste it… then you will have an eternal connection with that song. Every time you hear it, you will be transported back to the place and time you first heard it. Every word and every unique sound recreates the original scene and emotion.
So all of these songs have a sense memory for me and my friend. I remember exactly when and where we shared listening to them. Each one has a special meaning to me. A song to bring me hope, a song of longing, a song to let me forgive myself, a song of acceptance, a song of simple joy, a song of unity and friendship and family.
There are so many songs that I've split this tribute into 2 parts. I hope you enjoy these songs I've chosen. Say 'hello' to 1999 while you revisit some of my favorite music.
