This is crazy. ⁓ yeah, it's kinda cra it's kinda we're kind of reckless with this whole street over these Sure, sure. You know, they already got our shit. I I had I had my manager need me to fill something out one time and I couldn't do because I was somewhere and he was like, just tell me your your information. Just give me your shit. Hilarious comedian. How you doing, brother? I'm doing all right. Thank you for joining me. Yeah, thanks for having y'all. Thank you. Yeah. ⁓ Aaron and I at one point were in the same fantasy football group chat. And ⁓ you know, we definitely have crossed paths in in a a separate life. Yeah. And it's a we're competitive in a way. Okay. When it comes to love and being, you know, tall black men in the comedy space. So I'm I'm happy to bring Aaron along this journey of investigating love, Dorrance. Yeah, this is great. Did y'all win? Who won? It's not about winning. It's all about winning. Never mind, got It's about that. It's about the experience of the game. It's about the fun of the game. It's about the fun of the game. Yeah, it's not important. None of that's important. ⁓ but we'll get to some of that. We'll get into your Aaron's origin story. You're from LA, right? Mm-hmm. Okay. So we'll get to I wanna I have some takes that I need you to the the cipher about ⁓ about LA ⁓ yeah I'm ready for that LA dating but before we get into that let's get some current events all right torrents you have you have give us a couple of current events ⁓ before we get into that though also nine eleven if you're ⁓ looking for something to do next Friday this Friday it was upcoming Friday when you hear this pull up Daniel and friends lyric hyperion your boy Aaron will be there as well telling jokes being funny ⁓ yeah, ticket is nine thirty at Lyric Hyperion, one my favorite venues in the city. Yeah. First headlining show since I've been back in Los Angeles. So bring your good clothes, bring your fine friends, bring your ugly friends who like to spend money, and ⁓ we'll have a good time. Absolutely. I'm sorry, current events. Beyonce, a thousand dollar empty wooden box. What's what's this? Okay, so before I do that, actually ⁓ let me do this for a fast. So I went to a coworker's house and I was like, ⁓ like well, no, no, no. First of that's just Somebody who like knows you by like ⁓ because they did stand up comedy too. And they were like ⁓ they know me? Yeah, they were like, ⁓ wait, they were like, ⁓ you do a show? I was like, Yeah, it's called dated or whatever. I'm like, Danny, Danny what that sounds familiar. ⁓ he knows the Pull up your page, you know. Y'all know the same people. Y'all apparently y'all did a show a while ago. But at the same time, cool. Yeah. Yeah. Tall. Super tall. He cool. It could be anybody. That could be anybody out there. Thomas. His name is Thomas. I don't Thomas? Yeah. He's a comedian too. Yeah, he goes by Thomas. Like a couple years ago. He I think he stopped for a couple for like recently. So he's weird. But he was like, ⁓ I Danny. And I was like, ⁓ Danny's info. Okay, well that's weird. Anyway, yeah, so let me get his way up, nigga. Follow your dreams, bitch ass nigga. Why you quit? He he I like how you brought this information excited. He said, Hey, he has a message. People know we He like bitch. Yeah, nigga weak. Jesus Christ. This is why I you far from home. This is why you can't say nice shit. You can't say nice shit to people because they can move from Pittsburgh to LA to quit. Fuck nigga. Just Thomas. T. All of it. And I was doing good nice. He's such a nice guy. Yo, shout out Thomas, man. Shout out Thomas. Sorry, all come on. All right, anyway. So ⁓ today is also Beyonce's birthday, so we will we will say happy birthday to you. ⁓ okay. That's done. That was done. Honeydew. More than do. ⁓ okay. More and do. Honey. Is it honeydo? Honeydew. Whatever. It's more than do. It's more than doing Okay. And anyway, ⁓ Beyonce for her I guess for her birthday, she released a nine hundred and forty eight dollars in one cent wooden box. Okay. ⁓ I think it's supposed to be like a beekeeper type of box. ⁓ but it is literally with taxes included, a thousand dollars. What's in it though? What's in the box? Nothing is in the box. I buy it. You but you buy that? Nothing is in the box. I have if I have money to waste. You just buy the box. If you got it flowing for my girl. What's special about the box? ⁓ Is it like velvet on the inside or something? It has a beehive on top. It has like a bee ⁓ like a in like and you how they was it like fire a bee on top of the shit? They fire a bee? You know what I mean? Like the embroidery. Yeah, like branded. Branded. ⁓ it branded the wood. Okay. That's tight. And then you lift it up. But what's is it just is there like a cool inside or like Apparently it's supposed to be for beekeeping, but it's like kinda small. Like I gotta pull this shit up. So y'all like. Yeah, I need to see a picture of this. Is it like big enough to put like some cups in, like a sheet? Yeah, girls need like throw pillows. Every girl's house I've been to they got like a a container for the the couch covers. ⁓ yeah, let's let's get one out of the out of the basket. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Just a a giant Tupperware container. It's just a big ass Tupperware container. Well, okay. ⁓ ⁓ that's crazy. That's it. That's it. That's the box. ⁓ okay. Okay, okay. That's what I was saying. I was that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. The velvet on the inside is a game changer. That makes a thousand dollars. Yeah, at that point. Okay. See how Beyonce on side. They got the B on top. Okay. Yeah, it should have some honey or something like that. That's what I'm really confused about. ⁓ maybe it's it's a little scary, I'm not gonna lie. It 'cause people are paying. People are like throwing everything. People pay thousands of dollars for being single for these past couple of years during these Beyonce album runs has been phenomenal for my financial security. Because having to pay for a Beyonce ticket is problematic. I I pay for on the run two. I'm gonna on run two in Chicago. And but I was like, this is two thousand probably seventeen, eighteen. Yeah. So it was c you know, it was expensive, probably like four hundred apiece, but it wasn't like crazy. Like Ticketmaster wasn't like whooping everybody's ass at this coat. Like now they fucking everybody. I feel like you gotta I feel like a grand is a running r is the going rate for a good Beyonce. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I haven't paid a thousand dollars for Beyonce to you seen Beyonce and when every single time. Every time I've seen her every time. How much have you paid? Yeah. I think the highest I did pay was six hundred. But okay. Okay. So this is years ago though. That's that's that price. Right. Yeah, but I was close. What about one hundred? Yeah, in recent years and like ⁓ yeah, so Cowboy Carter, I paid two Forty five, two fifty. I would yeah, and I was in like a decent spot, like in the 120s. Where are you buying tickets at? Where the fuck you getting tickets at? Yeah, what the fuck? This is for a low. You can't even see the Rams for two hundred dollars. That's crazy as fuck. That's crazy as fuck. There's no way. I've never heard of that in my life. Yeah. He must have paid a fucking yen or something. I don't understand this. It was great. It's gorgeous. I haven't paid like I need to see pictures of your face. Yeah, I mean proof that she was big. That was her cousin. You don't look for it, but I'm telling you, bitches. Like I mean, I haven't again I haven't paid a thousand dollars to see Beyonce. Would I pay a thousand dollars to see Beyonce? Well what you just said was that you paid six hundred years ago and now two hundred? Now that don't even that's what is confusing me. Well Which city were you in? Here? Here it was here. Would you buy l like last minute or did you buy it in advance? Yeah. I just feel like if I'm going to go to Beyonce tick ⁓ concert with my shorty, I'm going to at least pay a thousand dollars. Yeah. That's y'all y'all on the floor. I'm here's the thing. If I wanted to be on the floor, of course. At 34 years old, and like the one hundred seconds? I think at thirty four years old, I'm bringing my shorty to a Beyonce. First of all, I'm not going to if my if it's a Beyonce, purely Beyonce, I'm just going to help her or buy the ticket. I'm not going with it. Right. I'm not gonna appreciate it enough. Right. I agree. I no, I I respect Beyonce. No, I respect Beyonce. I love Beyonce. Yeah. If I'm gonna go to a thing, I wanna be like have an equal amount of admiration for the thing. Yeah. If I'm if I'm gonna spend six hundred dollars for a ticket for myself, I would want to have a little bit more admiration. I can understand that. I guess I can understand that. But ⁓ you if you wanna go there go with your friend, I'll I'll pick you up, drop you off, nigga. Yeah, that's nice. ⁓ yeah. I could imagine I'd be in there, motherfucker. Picking up your shorty, dropping a that's that's a that's a love. They love that shit too. Your shorty loves when you pick her up from a concert. Are you gonna drive in all that traffic at the Kia Forum? Yeah. Yeah. I'm away for you. I'm away for you at the cyst, I'm gonna be at the scissors, I'm gonna be the sister. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe at the cemetery across the street. Exactly. You gotta walk a little bit back. Yeah, yeah. And I put the slides out, put your slides in your bag. Uh-oh. Put your slides in your bag so you can put a walk. She get in the cars. Now she in the back screaming. I'm like, girl, what the fuck? Turn her friend yelling. Yeah. Turned up. I know I liked you. She hates you. When you I I when we go home, she talks about you. Shut the fuck up. I know I always liked you. Yeah. She she tells you she doesn't want to hang out with you anymore after tonight. She says you stink a little bit. She don't like you. Shut up. Genuinely, as a person, morally. She don't fuck with you. She said she said you the whole friend. Yeah. I come and pick you up. Pick you up. Because you the whole friend. Yeah, exactly. ⁓ Little pickup at the concert. All right, sorry. Next thing, Chingy. What's what Chingy does? Yeah, so ⁓ Chingy. Did y'all see this thing? Like he went on ⁓ Chingy news like that. Who's talking to Chingy? Yeah, yeah. So funny. What's that man? But he's like a the interviewer, whatever. ⁓ Vlad TV. And huh? Vlad? Was it Vlad? No, I wasn't Vlad Jason. Okay. ⁓ Jason Lee? Jason Lee. I was gonna say Jason ⁓ Yeah, Jason Lee. Yeah, Jason Lee. So ⁓ he was interviewing Chingy and Chingy was like, Yeah, like he was like, ⁓ how many kids you got? And he was like, Something about like sexy red and one of his sons went to school together. And he was like, Nigga, you how you got a kid that that's old? He's like, ⁓ I had him young, whatever. Then he goes, ⁓ yeah, I got a son. I got a he I got four kids. I got two girls and two boys. Actually, one of them is famous. and ⁓ he be in Disney Channel stuff and Netflix shows and stuff like that. And then his son posted a a post that was like I owe everything to my mama, the one who raised me to me. And so Chingy's getting all this backlash now because he was like, nigga, why you name dropping him and you ain't in his life at all? That's what Debbie Dad did. And so I remember our conversation about the Debbie Daddy situation and how important that is to you, Danny, particularly as a starting out as a new father. As a new as a new young, you know, aspiring father. Yeah. And now, you know, and so he's like commenting on everybody's posters like Chingy, what the fuck? He's like, No, you know, you know how the people don't know what it is like behind the closed doors and the mama trying to keep ⁓ Everybody's like, Debbie Dash is it's such a funny thing because like ⁓ I saw something about Stevie Jay. Remember Stevie J from Love and Hip Hop? Do I also like you know, a really talented musician, which is kinda crazy that we know from Love and Hip Hop. Yeah. But ⁓ he was talking about Jocelyn who's his you know I know cracking lady was also. And he was, you know, like I he was just like, You can tell when a daddy dad comes to defend himself, ⁓ nigga, you just leaving out a whole part of he was like, I take care of all of my kids, you know what I'm saying? I take care of all of my kids, you know what I'm saying? And niggas in the comments I'm like, When's the last time you seen her? When's the last time you seen your kid, nigga? Right. You know, like that's but they be so dead beat they forget like eighty percent of the thing, like I take care of all my like You can't just send south child support. Pick this nigga up. Right. Yeah, once a month at least. That's so funny. You ain't taking a Disneyland? Like what? Yeah, Debbie Dad alligation. Yeah, the Debbie Dad shit. I don't know any I don't know any Debbie Dads personally. Me neither. ⁓ I don't know how I don't know how people hang out. Noah is one thing. I'm just gonna hang out. ⁓ yeah. I know them. ⁓ yeah, yeah. I'm not. Yeah, like I I could never understand like we at the bar on a Tuesday. Hold on nigga, why shouldn't you be tucking your boat? Yeah, the kid. And then you do Yeah, and then you wild, just wild. Yeah. I did a I do have one I do have one one he kind of friend now. We ain't even talked for a lot, but he nigga got a whole ass kid in another state. Really? Another state. Yeah. That's the intent. Yeah. Is it is it? But it wasn't like it wasn't like he was living there. And you know, but he was just there. Cracked it short and dropped it off. Came came to came back to Los Angeles. And ⁓ yeah, now you got that baby's out that baby old as hell now. That's like a five year old baby. That's not even a baby no more. It's a it's a yeah, yeah. He got math homework. It's crazy he got homework. He's doing he's doing math a little bit. He got homework, man. It's crazy. Yeah, it's crazy. I don't understand like to get somebody pregnant To leave it in, boom, I left it in. Leaving it in is crazy as well. And then get back on GPS, like how do I get Leaving it in is crazy. And then act like it's like okay. Is cra like you she's gonna get pregnant, dog. She's going to. She's pregnant. And that's always the thing. That's always a thing about like accidentally getting people pregnant. I have never met a single man who didn't know the exact moment. That he got a shorty pregnant. Like, this could have been. I think I did this. Yeah. Every time I've ever talked to a man who accidentally got some pregnant, they were like, Yeah, I knew exactly when I did it. Yeah. Yeah, no, you know. And then once you understand the science of coochie, that like they can only get pregnant for a couple days. You know, you know. You know, you know. You left it in. You left it in a marinade in. You didn't even try. Act like it was normal. You didn't like, hey, should we go get Pimp B? Should we do something else? Acting like nothing else is supposed to happen. Nigga, that's science. It's actually kind of it's worked billions of times in the history of humanity. What are you talking about? I didn't know I had no idea. You know. That's how it's worked. So that's how it's always worked. That's what their original recipe is. It's never changed. Really? Like, that's what the one thing that has not changed. This is how you do it. This is how you do it. This is how you do it. Remember, I remember Maury. Mm-hmm. To be fucking that many people that you don't know your fucking To be fucking that many people raw. Like as a kid, you don't really know you don't know all the math. As a as a then as you grow up you realize these this person was having raw sex with Seven niggas. Sometimes it'd be like seven niggas. It'd be like they're like the third time it'd be like this batch, we got four more guys. But you fucking all these niggas raw in two weeks? It's really great too. That is your baby. I know that's your baby. Look at his eyes. Look at his nose. Torrents. And I'm and I'm like this. Torrance. It it be four niggas. You fuck all these niggas raw. Raw. Not just sex. All of them. Raw. You had raw sex with all these guys. We need a different kind of test. This is freaky time. Yeah, yeah. This is freaky time. In a few in a few weeks span. Yeah. Let's say three. Let's give a let's give us a three. Yeah. Three weeks. Yeah. Yeah. Cause you gotta you know, are you you two months pregnant? All right, let me let me backtrack three weeks. Who was I? Woo-woody woody woo. That's crazy to not know. You know Crazy. My favorite thing about Mari was the kids that came on there. They were like I don't care. I saw my mama call and I call her a bitch. So what? I drove to the Chick-fil-A, drove my car through there, and she's not gonna beat me up and I'm gonna beat her ass too, and I beat your ass too, Maury. Yeah, after school. Yeah. I skipped school and smoked crack. So what? Exactly. My boyfriend 45 and he takes me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What is happening? I've been like I used to be at home, what? 12 hours? Yeah. This is crazy, Yeah. That was a bad part of society. ⁓ that was ⁓ man, but yeah, things were simple. Imagine getting rich off that shit though. Like paid up. I'm paid up. ⁓ my god. Yeah. And Mari, all you have to do at that point is show up. When you Mari, it's like, yo, y'all, yeah, y'all produce, y'all find a scout, y'all scout these people. Scout these people. I don't have to be funny. Yeah. No, you don't have to I just have to ask questions. And they're like, you know what, Mari? He a bitch. Yeah. He always been a bitch. I was a bitch. And mommy in the crowd, like, Why am I a bitch? You know I would have loved him in a security for that one of those shows. ⁓ my god. But you know, that's what happened with ⁓ Jerry Springer and Steve. Like Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Steve Yeah. So Steve was like the security guard, ball head of security guard, and then he got his own show because everybody loves Steve so much. Wait, Steve who? Wil Cos. Wil Cose. ⁓ I didn't know that. Yeah, yeah. I didn't know that. So yeah, so OG, he was Jerry Like I said, I'm I'm lo I'll be locked in. Yeah, yeah. I'll be watching my stores. And Jerry Springer, like Steve was the OG, like like security, like breaking the people up. Yeah. ⁓ I didn't know Steve Oprah was well. Steve's head, it was such a ⁓ he was ⁓ he had hoes. Yeah, I think I think probably for sure. I mean at that point if you're on TV every day, you got hoes. Yeah, no matter what. Because you bred it up for sure. No matter what. Like the thing about we've lost the the plot in like media is that like those daily shows made so much money because it's just like consistent, it's way more shots on gold. Yeah, like our like the current like eight episode, ten episode thing is like niggas get. Money, but it's like a little bit of almost more prestige. But like if I'm, you know, have eight seasons or whatever, or I'm on for ten years, I'm on this bitch every day. Every day. I'm just bread it up. And at that point, you talent, you Maury, you fucking Steve, you whatever. You just it's rinse and repeat. I'm showing up to work. Yeah for like four hours. And all I gotta do is be myself. I just gotta be myself. They Jerry Springer, they had the documentary. I know if y'all watched I did watch it. I did watch it. It was really good. It was good. It was really good. That's a lot. You need to get mad at him real quick. You hungry? So what? So fight for it. So there's a chair. They know he resolved their issues before coming on and saying, We actually you're cool now. Nah, not today, you know. Yeah, yeah. My producers told me, the other producer told me the day stand. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. But we'll figure it ⁓ out. On the show. ⁓ all right, let's get into some Aaron. Whenever I have guests on this show, I want to learn a little bit more about them. All right. Yeah. This is moments of earnest. This is a this the thing about this podcast is funny, is I've gotten a lot of feedback. I think people forget that this podcast is kind of earnest. ⁓ Like with the clips or whatever. I've, Danny, have said some insane things on this on this platform. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And some of those things have kind of propelled us into a little bit of success. A little bit. A wee bit a wee bit. And I think I'm not really ashamed to say it. But I do have a sense, you know, we've we've we've gone a little while with that guest. Yeah. So I wanna I wanna bring back the question back to you, Aaron, again. Question I always ask all of my guests. Uh-huh. What's your first memory of love? ⁓ my first memory of love. Yeah. We're talking about relationship type love. Any kind of love. All of the above. Mm. First memory of love. I'm gonna go with probably my f first memory at all. Okay. Which I feel like is like my my second or I think second or third birthday. The furthest back I can remember. I remember walking into the garage and it was and seeing the birthday cake. Okay and being real happy about it. And that and in that moment You feel that love because you know that your family went on the way to get you it was like a hundred and one Dalmatians themed. I don't even ⁓ was that my favorite thing? I don't think so. Yeah. I think it was a Lion King. It could have been. It could have been. It just came out. It just for whatever reason it just came out and they had they had the the robber niggas on the cake and I was like, Whoa, I got the action figures on there. The robber you had the rob The robbers were ever. The henchmen niggas. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I honestly don't even know why they I don't I think I was a more of a Lion King type kid. But but if somehow that was the theme of my birthday, and I remember that being the thing. And I don't even remember if anyone was in it, but I just remember feeling warm inside and happy. Yeah. The familial that I think most of the memories I when people answer that question is familial. Yeah. ⁓ beautiful. Right. Right, 'cause I'd be able to do that. I feel like some people they probably don't have that feeling. Yeah. Yeah. But on this show specifically, I feel like for the most part. Big family, small family or what? I got a big family. Yeah. I got like, I don't know. My mom had like five brothers and sisters, so like I got hella cousins. And all of them had like four or five kids each. Okay. So hella cousins. All LA for the most part? LA Louisiana. Yeah. My family ⁓ most of my family from Louisiana, so like I got family off in Louisiana in and everything. Yeah, I'm Creole. What's that was that we Puerto Rican? What's that what's that? TikTok. What is that called? Italian? ⁓ okay. So what high school did you go to here? Bishop Montgomery in Torrance. Hey, what up? No, I don't know. I know like I know like somebody. Somebody say my name like this. I know like four high schools in LA, but that's I I don't know that one. ⁓ it's all right. D what was your first I wonder first relationship that like really impacted the way you look at love? Like high school sweetheart, you know, college sweetheart. The first one that was like, ⁓ this changed me a little bit. Well, first of all, in high school I had zero play whatsoever. ⁓ so what kind of what kind of were you the band geek? Where who was the kind? I was I I was cool. I was a cool kid. Like I like everyone I I got along with everybody. I was friends with everybody. I was an athlete. I played football. So like I was always hanging out with the athletes, but I also was like fun and funny and I would perform songs and shit at school. Yeah. ⁓ so I was able to get along with everybody across every friend group. But I think I was just and I'm pretty sure like I had friends in high school that would tell me like shortage were into Yeah, but I was too nervous or or too friendly with everybody to like ever get to that point of actually trying. Because it wasn't a thought of like, ⁓ I need to it. Yeah, and I w and I wanted and I wanted to get a girls, but also at the same time I was like, Yeah, but I still want to stay friends with them. I don't want to like jeopardize Us we hanging out, we having fun. Liter like you know, we texting all day long. I'm thinking we're just friends. All day and night. We texting late as hell at three AM. I'm like, nah, we're just always yeah, good night, yeah, night friend. I'll see you tomorrow. My parents are gone. They're gone. They're never coming back. ⁓ for real? Be safe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Be safe. See you later. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So I never so I didn't have nothing. Like I had no type of action in like high school. I kissed one girl in high school. Damn. Yeah. Is she white or black? She was black. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He checked he checked, sorry. He checked. White women didn't start coming into play until very recently. Hollywood. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. That's what it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Niggas get a following. Yeah. That's what happened now. Niggas get a following and start getting out all the white women. Let me just switch it up. That's what it is. You want a bit of white wife if you like. You got access to all these white women now. That's what happened. It happens to the best of us. Martin Luther King, all of us. Yeah. ⁓ White girls is crazy. Ray yeah, racism white girl cracking the racist and white girls back OG racism white girls in the sixties is cold. You cracking the first ones that are crackable that you can't legally crack. Yeah, they they sweaty into ⁓ cracking before it was legal. Yeah. Literally it was ill. Yeah, what was Love versus Virginia? Yeah, I don't even know when that was, but he was definitely he was definitely in some illegal white shit. Yeah, cause it was like a couple generations removed from slave. Grant that it was like slave owners and shit. You packing a white pure white. Like what? This is I like this little some this little fine white shit. This white beef busting it wide open. I like snow bunnies on the weekends when I'm in Montgomery. Pete Ariola. Freak. She's a freak. Caked up. I'm sorry, I like my crits. White. I like my word like I like my grits on the weekends. ⁓ he got his ass now. He's talking about all the white women he's gonna he's gonna crack. Yeah. She listened to Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan then. She listened to the Bob The Beatles. I'm cracking and she listened to the Beatles. Rolling Stones. ⁓ Elvis Yeah, but he was for show cranking to some Elvis is crazy as hell. I don't know if any of those people was out back then, but I I think at least one majority of them were shit ⁓ Okay, so ⁓ so yeah, yeah, yeah. So so the first Shorty I I did actually date ⁓ is Latina Shorty. Ooh Yeah, and my co she was my coworker at a grocery store. But it was hella toxic. Yeah, insanely toxic. Of course. The first one happened. I was nineteen. She was like twenty-one or something like that. ⁓ her family was like a bunch of gangsters in LA. Absolutely. And so she had like a real fucked up past, real toxic shit. She was dating me, and she was also talking to another nigga at the grocery store as well, too. And I think I was the one that came she was talking to him first, I think. Damn. And then I ended up talking to her. And it became a whole weird thing. We never like farther him like that, but the nigga knew for sure. Were you like in customer service? He was in like produce or what I was in I was in I was in produce. I was literally about to ask you. I was in produce and paused, he was in meat. He was in the meat department. ⁓ he had a little skill. He had a trade. Yeah. He was right, my nigga. You better be careful. That's tough. So he would look at me dirty and then that it would be weird. And but it was just real toxic. Like she get mad at every little thing. Like, you know, of course, classic shit. You know, good old days. But it was exciting. It'd be like it'd be you know, I'd be excited for her w you know, to be you know, one time she one time we was at a bar and she and the bartender was bad as fuck. Sure. Bad as fuck. Yeah. But I'm not looking. I'm looking straight ahead at the TV. I'm looking at the TV. They're playing some sports highlights. The the the the ESPN top ten. You know, I go to get a drink, I ask for a drink, and she gets mad at me 'cause I look at the shorty. And I'm like, I I have to make eye contact. I have to figure out how to talk to this woman. Wow. You know what I mean? Shit like that. One time she like slapped my glasses off and threw ⁓ across the street over nothing. Yeah Yeah, and I ain't gonna lie, it excited me. It turned me on. I was like, I'm gonna I'm gonna clap them cheeks as soon as I find these glasses. I'm gonna find these glasses right now. You give me a second, I'm gonna go find these glasses. Dorothy from ⁓ Mother Scooby Doodle? Yeah, yeah, but I get these five. It was bad, man. It was bad. And ⁓ it went on for like quite some time. Like it was like on and off for like a couple years. Like really? Yeah. I'm sorry. I I never you know what's honestly, bro. I've never really I like I like a little bit of crazy, but I've never been in like a situation where my girl has been like, Torrance, don't look at me like that. Cause I can see you in the corner of my eye. Wait, is he capping right now? Are you capping? You gotta lie about something. He wanna lie about something right now. ⁓ He was about to lie about something. What are you saying? George has known me since freshman year college. Okay, okay, yeah, yeah. He's known pretty much any any legitimate thing I've been in, he he's known. And I was about to kind of lie, but I was what I will say is I've never s I've never been in like a domestically violent situation. I always like a little bit of cra I like a little edge in my woman. I don't want a woman that can I can feel like I ever can ⁓ just roll over someone that's gonna be like shut the fuck up back. Right. ⁓ or not even back. Shut the fuck up. Yeah. ⁓ and have a little edge. So but I've never been like ⁓ I feel like you're really disrespecting me. Right. And and I've stayed. I guess I've I've left shit. But do you think like back then were you just like ⁓ like did you know how bad it was back then or you just kinda like nigga I'm getting coochie working this is what it is. ⁓ honestly it was a little bit of both I guess. Like I definitely knew I was like getting disrespected Right. In some ways, but it was more so back then, when you're young, you're like, I but I wanna win at the end of this year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? So you're willing to just be like, I'm gonna just deal with this bullshit until I win. And then at the end, you d you even if you win, you don't win. You don't really win, you know what I mean? Exactly. Exactly. Even if you even if you win in the end, it's still a rap for you. You don't you don't end up pretty well you beat up by the end of the I got the dub. You know, you like I got the dub though. That's my girl now. Yeah, yeah, you bleeding like it's ⁓ yeah. Yeah, exactly. Right. Yeah, yeah. That's tough. So do you feel like I guess fast forward then. So you get out of that situation. Yeah. And then when do you start doing comedy? ⁓ I think I was twenty one. We were still talking. I think we were like on I think we were dating. We were together together for real, like once I started comedy, like twenty-one. Yeah. Yeah. And then I'm curious, being from here, what was that like going into it? Were you like, I'm gonna avoid like when you start comedy, you get into it, you're getting a groove. Yeah. Are you are are you like now I'm gonna avoid trying to Talk to comedians, like where are you finding people? Where are you meeting people also being from here? Do you have high school friends? You lived here the whole time. Like where are you finding shorty that you're gonna date? 'Cause I feel like I we rarely get the perspective of like a a native LA person of like how they date. All the things we hear about dating is like LA sucks. Or you know, dating sucks, but like for people that are from here, I'm always curious how that plays. Not even just dating, but like socially as well. Yeah, I mean when people say that dating in LA is hard in LA specifically. I never have had I've never had trouble dating, I'd say. Yeah, same. And I also feel like Yeah, I feel like you you know your standards and everything and that helps in everything. No matter what city you're in, is if you know your standards. 'Cause of course you're gonna run into like flaky people or whatever, like people that don't text back or whatever, or like you're gonna run into some bullshit, but it's up to you to decide if you wanna continue with the bullshit or if you may ⁓ I'm I on the next person then. You know what I mean? Yeah. And I also have had nothing to compare it to. Like I've only ever been here. So it's like I wouldn't know what it's like to go somewhere else in this season. You know? I will say that my experience again, ⁓ dating men out here has been pretty awful. Like 'cause it g and like but also living in other cities and knowing okay. So you know. All right, thanks. That's a good way to put it. That's a c that's a good way to put it. I don't let him I don't want to slap this shit. I don't wanna just I think I think that was very clear. It's great. I think that was very clear. No, it's what I just said It's great. It's great that you do that. I just wanted him to know that like He's giving me context. He's giving me context. Context to what? I'm gonna commit every fucking I'm gonna cut this out. I'm gonna cut it out. You're not gonna cut that shit out. I'm gonna forget to cut it out. Yeah, exactly. He said it's so low too. I just want him to know. I want him to know I want him, you know what I'm saying? Giving our trade secret. But but what I was saying was that dating in other cities is and has been a lot easier, I'll say, as far as just like people have a different mentality here than they do like in other places. Other places like North Carolina, DC or whatever, like people are like, ⁓ I kinda wanna like Chill, settle down. Right. Everyone wants to settle down more. Yeah. It's little more. I want to build a family. Yeah. I want to actually meet you do this. Here, they just want to have a good time. That's true. It's this is the good time city. And that's how I said I feel like maybe because I also date women that are in their thirties for the most part. I feel like a lot of bad shortage are like, I'm kind of good on beating the streets. Yeah, for sure. There's some that like, I mean, and this is, you know Not being funny, like you know, difference between dating niggas and women, I feel like it is that like I feel like a lot of thirty five year olds is like, yo, I'm trying to be in the house with my nigga. You know what I'm trying to be outside no more. Like right now it is Atlanta Pride, like black pride, like a Labor Day weekend. Every Labor Day weekend is Atlanta Black Pride and You 43, you 44 years old, right? And you are flying to Atlanta pride. Like not saying like you can't have fun and enjoy yourself. But you're not going there to just like look, no, you don't go to Atlanta for that. Yeah, right. You want to later like you, you, you, you trying to get as many as you can. Right, right, right, right, right, right. I'm not saying that's everybody's MO, but that is the majority of the people. And again, you're forty this one dude he was forty three. You 43 years old, how long you're doing this? Right. This is nasty. And I don't wanna have to I'm not This is nast. This is nasty. It's a lot. The streets are tough. I'm about I'm about like four good dates away from just being out the streets. Yeah. I mean, honestly, it's a it's a we live in a different world now too. Everything expensive as hell. Yeah. Everybody, everybody got everybody nasty out here, man. I think the biggest thing is like, you know. Especially as you're aspiring to f follow your dreams and shit. And I think even once your dreams are achieved, it's still i it's a new set of problems of like yeah, the complexity of running your own business as a entrepreneur, you know, you're a com you're touring comedian. I got fucking this agent, I got that agent. I'm on the road, I'm physically moving, I'm trying to develop a thing. It's like a lot of moving parts. Right. I think at a certain point, having your love life solidified is kind of nice. ⁓ yeah. Like once again, I've been talking about this last week. I love the streets are great. It's cool, whatever, like just the the spontaneity of it all. But like having someone that you like, this is my person that I fuck with, even if this is not my life partner, this is someone I'm inner I'm giving most, if not all of my energy towards. Yeah. Makes a lot of other shit kind of way more simpler. Right. It's another thing off of your mind. Yeah. Yeah. No, I'm just like I was gonna say that, like coming back to a soft place. Like I'm like comfortable here. Like I had a shitty ass day, but I'm gonna come back, I'm gonna talk to you about it. You fuck with me, I fuck with you. This is gonna feel a little bit softer versus like I'm talking to a the new stranger of the week. Yeah, right, right, right. That was another thing too. Like I I went you know, I I had just gotten out of a five year relationship in like last September. And ⁓ that was the first thing I was like, I don't wanna meet new people. Yeah, I wanna get to know a new person. My first year post was yeah, I gotta learn your favorite colors. I don't know. I gotta I gotta learn all these little small details, what shows you like now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. It's always the one I'm like, man, come on, I can't You know, I don't feel like meeting nobody else and learning new shit about some new person that I might not know in a couple of weeks. You know what I mean? This is brings me to my next question. Cause as comedians, we're around each other a lot. Yeah. How have you navigated or do you navigate your general premise of dating comedians and or creatives? Cause I feel like me, I have to date a creative. Yeah. I mainly really date only date creative women now. Yeah. And I think some of that like The annoying of like on a dating app and I gotta go on a date and like what's your favorite color? Where are you from? It's like that all that shit kinda goes away when I meet you in another creative space. Right, right. Organically online sometimes. Yeah. Yeah. What is your general philosophy, whether it be for yourself or advice for people that are. I do I I I do enjoy dating creatives now. yeah, 'cause you understand the worlds, your worlds are kind of the same. ⁓ they know they kinda understand like your schedule. They might have a crazy schedule as well too for that kind of stuff. ⁓ I don't I haven't dated a whole lot of creatives to be honest as an adult. Like I said, I mean I was in a fire relationship for most of my like late twenties, early thirties. So like ⁓ and she was like kind of creative, but she was you know, she was a chef, so it wasn't like the same thing, you know what I mean? But I I like, you know, I think dating creatives is good. Comics I'm not sure, but I never had dated a comic before or like 'cause you know what's funny too, another part of it is like the ⁓ you date an artist, yeah, they have their art and it's public. Like you date a accountant, you don't really know who the nigga she was fucking with or the relationship she had and she made a song about or the movie she was in and like they might have fucked all in the s you we must watch. But you know, at at the rap party. It's like, damn, okay, whatever. This is like a a blow against my and it's like the most attractive Famous nigga. or whatever. You know, you hear a shorty on stage talking, yeah. So I had a whatever it's like, damn, okay, I love you. You know, why are you telling? Right, yeah. All between us. Why you all yeah. Why are you bringing us to the stage? That is the hardest part of it all. Yeah. You wanna tell everybody? ⁓ so you're talking about everybody. You got punchlines about my shit? Like that's crazy. And it's like and having this show, having dated is like it's also hypocritical. It's like, damn, I I'm I'm gonna get my shit off too. So it's like add a added part of the the thing of like, damn, you want self expression. I want self expression. Right. I like you for your self self expression, but damn, I'm gonna have to hear some shit that I don't want to hear. Right. Okay with that. And you gotta hear somebody you're gonna hear like that's what I mean. But I'm also that is one thing. Like I've been dating you you know, I've been dating a creator for like for the last few months, like since like last the end of last year or whatever. But ⁓ and niggas be sending ⁓ her her memes and like videos and shit. And be like this you nigga. I'm like I'm like, damn, nigga can't be a joke. Right, right. It can't be a joke, you know what I'm saying? Like it gotta be real, it's gotta be about me specifically. Right, right. What you do? Yeah, ⁓ yeah, yeah. There's always like memes like making jokes about men or shitting on men somehow. ⁓ look at this nigga Aaron. Let's send it to Aaron right now. Aaron At dinner time. I'm trying to eat, nigga. I saw it. I saw it. I saw it. I heard it. I saw it. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's the that's the toughest part. But ⁓ I don't know. I just I just don't think I can go I mean, I'll say never say never, but it's it's it's tough 'cause you might, you know, have a joke about me. I've heard I've heard maybe one or two jokes about someone I was with. Mm. And I was like, damn, I think that's about me. Mm. It w it was too it was too specific. I wish I could have a joke. It was it was a hundred cent I was one I was in the joke. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I d I honestly meant to confirm it. That was about me, right? But I I've I've since forgotten. But ⁓ That is that is a crazy feeling when you had a show. Yeah. You know. Yeah. I don't think I don't think I don't think ⁓ anyone's made a song. I haven't really dated singers like that ⁓ in the past, but comedians, I don't think I I've a couple of comedians and definitely. That's the one thing about me. I have everybody I've dated. Bitch, it's a song about I got a song about chill, bitch at. ⁓ you have a song. ⁓ I got a song about you. Yeah, yeah. ⁓ okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. So I ⁓ I got a song about you. Yeah. My last E it was so crazy. So my EP that came out a couple of years ago, one of my exes about me. Nigga, this sound like some shit I did. Yeah. I'm so glad that you recognize So funny you got the whole you got disc tracks loaded up for these niggas. That's what It is ⁓ about you. And you know it. Yeah, yeah. Which is why you asked. As long as it's a good joke or a good song, I'm gonna play that song. Yeah, exactly. Shit might shit my shit my bang. That's what he That shit might bang. He said he said it sounded nice. It sounded good. all right. So ⁓ Aaron, every every episode we have listener Semitic questions. Yeah. These this is what we call so I dated. These are you know, comments, concerns, stories. And dated is a show about investigating love. So we're gonna try to help the people that listen to this show solve their problems. Torrance, do you have you have a couple I think, right? I yeah, well I you you got the second one, right? Well the first one? No, you well somebody okay I'm bet you're you're better at reading it, nigga. You better at reading? All right. So the first the first one reads if you find out someone has stepped out on their partner with you, what's the best course of action? Should you confront their partner, woman to woman, and let them know, or should you just mind your business and move on? Huh. I think ⁓ I mean I've dated Cheaters before. Yeah. And I've definitely been like, hmm. You know, it's when it's ⁓ someone, at least when they admit they've cheated, that's a good sign, I guess. But I do want to then when they tell you the story, it's like I still kind of fucked up, but ⁓ sure, I I guess I trust you. Yeah. I don't even I I don't mind my business, honestly. It also depends how deep it's going. Are y'all having a full on affair? Are you like if you marry two different are you going out with this story like all the time or did you hook up just the one time? If you hook up just the one time and you find out later, ⁓ you're like, ⁓ don't wanna do this no more. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. But if you if if you find out and you keep getting deep into it in your actions. 'Cause then at that point, then you now you're dealing with another nigga potentially coming to fuck you up. Yeah. That's a a la carte for no reason. Yeah, yeah. And and that's he's not even planning for this shit. And that's what I would like to just happen. I don't need No extra shit in my exactly. I don't need no extra shit. So if I find out you did that, yeah, you're so wrong. And I'm gonna get out of there. ⁓ unless y'all got an open experience and we know ⁓ all ⁓ right. Uh-huh. ⁓ doubled and dabbled there, but outside of that. Like nah, I'm not I'm a motherfucking business. I I just I think in this scenario it's a woman asking, you know, so like niggas do lie on a on a on some true. All right, you know, I got a fame, I got a kid and with a and a shorty, yeah, and I'm, you know, in business. Maybe I have two cribs, one in fucking New York, one in Philly or some shit. You know, or LA, New York, and I'm acting like I'm single, but I'm I'm here for a month. And I'm just like have a I have a whole family and I fuck you. I think that is something probably worth telling. I'm not gonna lie. Mm. Like if you marry you got a family, you married. Right. Right. Yeah. I think I'll maybe go tell tell a w if I'm a shorty, I think I would tell you. Would you or no now in your situation now if it was like the opposite. Yeah. Yeah. And it was a woman and she had a family. I don't think so. Nah. That's a toxic. That's a toxic. That is that is that is a little bit toxic. Because niggas are different. Niggas are different. He might try to kill me. Yes, you're right. That's what I'm saying. I literally was about to say, like, women in particular, like, they look out for each other very differently than men look out for men. That's true. And so women are like, should I tell her to believe? They're like, yo, like No disrespect to you. I didn't know this, but he, we did, but like he's a cheater, yo. So if he did it to me, he's probably doing other people. Like they're letting you know, sis. And then it's like she she could pop off, but I think that like women in particular are more like, thank you for telling me. I'ma confront him. Thank you, you know, like because I I'm looking out for my girl. I'm looking out for other women in that way. Like I w you know, I I think that's very unique. Two women, men won't do that. Yeah. Unless I know you unless you're your friends. Unless I'm friend and I know some shit. But backfire where like, ⁓ he this nigga finds out that he's he also wants to come kill me. Yeah. But I feel like, I don't know. You you do it once, you find out, ⁓ she's married, she's a mom. Right. And she has, you know, a man. I feel like most women also that's not really in a woman's MO. Like if she's gonna cheat, she won't like I have a husband, fuck this nigga, let's ha let's like crack. I feel like most women are gonna do that versus 'cause men don't care. Versus men men will make a lie be like, Yeah, I don't have yeah I don't have anything. Yeah, yeah, men move more slimy. I've heard it ⁓ the stories I've heard of shorty's and their friends dating a guy, he like lives with another girl and he's cheating. Crazy. It's crazy worse. It's pretty it's pretty intense. Like I know, I know how they'd be pulling it off. I couldn't disgust it. Yeah, that's you living with somebody and you s and you get some coochie that and like it was in New York. The story the the story I'm thinking about was in New York. Say that names. Too much. But she was like paid up. I mean, yeah, this is like a very affluent, you know, black people. So it's like New York is not that big. It's like black. Yeah. New York is not that big. I was in there for a year and half. And legitimately, if you're outside a little bit, you become like two degrees separated from a lot of people in different social circles. Like maybe like the finance thing is like different, but like in the creative space, creative in comedy, art. music, that kind of a circle, you're like two to three people from everybody. Yeah, 'cause 'cause people are just out and about and and the social circles kind of get intertwined. Right. So like the cheat in a city like New York where like Yeah, everyone's next to each other. Everybody's going to the same block parties. Yeah. You know, we're going to the fucking the the Trader Joe's in downtown Booker. Right. Right. It's only so many pockets whereas LA you can just duck off in the valley. You can go to so many different cities and just funny. When I was outside outside I when I knew a shorty was the valley, I'll be Yeah, I'll pull up to the valley. The val Ventura was one of the best places to just fucking jump off. You can have a shorty in the valley, you can have a shorty all the way in Redondo Beach and they'll never see each other. They don't even pay the same tax taxes. Never see. ⁓ Sherman Oaks? No. They have different options on the ballot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Alderman's Yeah, they got a different fucking nigga. ⁓ Sherman he got some Sherman Oaks work? ⁓ nigga. It's Chow Yeah, I'll be there. 8 a.m. 8 p.m. sharp. Yeah, yeah, right. No problem. We can sit outside and everything. Outdoor. I will say I will say to this person to answer their question. Yeah. It really depends on how much drama you want in your life. Right. Because if you it could backfire on you, you're doing a good deed. From your perspective, ain't nothing wrong with that. But again, you gotta be cool with the consequences that come from that. It could be a thank you, sis, or it could be fuck you mean, tell me everything. Now you're involved. Right. Now they ask me you quite like nah, that sounds a certain point too, it's also about like health. And I feel like once again, you know you got a man, you got family. You should say something. Yeah. Woman to woman, I that's like a part of the woman to woman oath. You should say something. But men to men no. I think men are sleaze balls a little bit. Yeah. Well, no, it's more so that's what I'm no no no. That's hard. It's a tough one. It's tough. It's more so that women, for the most part, are b morally more sound. And if they're gonna cheat, they're gonna usually probably tell you, I'm cheating ⁓ on my nigga. So you as the nigga front. You as a nigga opt in and be like Either I'm a I'm a cheese. Yeah, you're right. That's a good point. You know what I'm saying? And men will hide that. Men will hide it and do everything that's so they don't find out most of the time. I mean, I'll say that that is yes, ⁓ probably a more likely scenario, but I do think that women are also just like, ⁓ fucking you. I mean I got this thing out. Like you know what I mean? Like eight times out of ten you can tell a girl's had a a kid. Even if she's cold body, you can tell she has a kid. Right. So it's it's hard to hide that you have a kid. That's one. That's what I'm saying. Well, sure. She may have a kid. And most shorty's right. And most yeah, most shorty's gonna talk about talk about her kid. ⁓ my son and she's gonna come up in conversation like, okay, like so you gotta you either you're gonna say I have a kid, but then immediately lie and say Yes, that's what that's what people do. I just don't think I just don't think shorties do that. I don't think women do that. Well I don't know. I I think women are more than men I think they're liars. So that's what I know. So Yeah, I will say if any woman that I've ever seen that ⁓ that cheats on their man. Not necessarily with me, but if I know that they cheat on their man, they're very bold about it and the guy they're cheating with knows about that guy. Yeah. And you opt every time you opt into that danger. And they're like, Yeah, I'm with it. Let's do it anyway. It sounds spooky to me. It is. And you're right. And you're I've never I if you're married, I'm not gonna do it. If you tell me you're married, I'm not I'm not with you. Yeah. Okay. Unless it's like an open thing. Right. And even still I have that I've done that once and I was like, I don't feel super comfortable with this. ⁓ huh. 'Cause I feel like he's gonna try to kill me still. Yeah, I that's the whole thing. I d I don't want some dude coming trying to kill me. That's all I don't want. You could be open, but not to that tall black man, you know. No. All right, we got one more. ⁓ yeah, one more. All right. So this one is so I dated someone Who didn't like any of my friends. And honestly, my friends didn't like him either. He thought they were messy, immature, and way too involved in my business. They thought he was controlling and said I acted differently whenever he was around. Eventually, every birthday, dinner, or group trip became a negotiation about whether he was coming. I don't know if I'm being blind or what, but I don't know how much longer I can take when my best friends and my boyfriend can't stand each other. Help. ⁓ man. ⁓ man. This is a tough one. Who wants to start? This is a tough one. All right. Is the you gotta you gotta also take inventory of your f your are your friends cool? Right. Cause some of y'all be having lame friends. Girls will have a a season of lame ass friends. Bro, girls have will have so many lame friends and they will stick by them for so long. And you'll meet them and you'll be like, yo, why do you hang out with this girl? Well, we just went to we went to third grade together and her mom And Loki hates her. Yeah. And they hates her. Yeah, they have a they'll have a million stories about how she did you dirty. Yeah, they left me in Miami once. Yeah. With eight with eight drug dealers and I had to fight my way out, but she's she makes really good sauce. Yeah, but she's still gonna be my bridesmaid in the fall. So I'm like, what are you talking about? Lady's evil. What are you talking about? Why are you doing this? Rebecca's a a fucking communist. Yeah, but she's fair. I mean Space time to She's a dictator. I mean, sure, but she doesn't kill anymore. So so boom. Take an inventory of your friends. Your friends cool as fuck. Yeah. Cause sometimes your friends be lame and you're and your at your partner. I've I've dated shorties that like hate their friends, and I'm just like, either you're the problem or you need to do something. Right. Because you complain about this. I don't complain about none of my niggas to know Shorty. continuously. Right. Yeah, exactly. You know, it might be a d ⁓ a day I was annoyed. Yeah, right. Yeah, yeah like sporadically throughout life. Right, right. I'm not about to be like, yeah, this nigga, I hate this nigga again. For like four months. You know what he did again? Yeah, me and Danny. He did this too. Like Yeah, me and Danny beefing again. Yeah, we're not cool right now. We got a face football draft tomorrow. What are you talking about? We're going to the bars. Yeah, that's crazy. So, like so you're boom, you're your friends lame. Second, but then second of all, the partner integration to the friend group is is tough. That's that's like the first real, real legitimate test to see. if you should be with this person because you have the the horny love eyes and your friends know you and when and their friends see you with this person, they're gonna also be able to assess they're the ⁓ what's that what's the the term the the the comment the barometer of like of you and this is what you are with this person without this person. ⁓ but I don't know some it that's it's a tough test to integrate the friends. And family is another test. But friend group as an adult is is is a whole different thing. I'll say this If the whole friend group don't like this dude, that might say something. You know? Sure. That might say something. You know? Yeah. I I'm I don't know if I've ever had any partner that whose friends didn't like me and whose family didn't like me. There may be one girl in the group that maybe don't like me too much for whatever weird reason, but for the most part I give I've always gotten along with whoever part my partners like friends and family. So if the whole friend who don't like you, that might be telling as well. So this is all case by case stuff, but like, you know, it you all got you gotta see ⁓ what's happening there with with that whole thing. And I don't know. Yeah. I mean that's my big thing too. Like I ⁓ my if my friends 'cause again typically Like Danny said, you got like love, horny eyes, you you infatuated and you ⁓ I whatever. You blind to shit. They doing shit, they s they saying stuff, they're you're experiencing things very differently than them being like, Why did that nigga talk to you like that? Why does she why was she saying it like that? Why did she ⁓ he's fine, he always does he gonna hit bitch ass comedy shot like why would you say why why is she talking about just shit like that? That's actually kinda awful. You don't hear that? She just playing That's good test. It's a good test for a relationship in general when you have to be in someone else's space. Cause so much of the early shit, or even relationships in general, you're just like you're it's you and this person. Yeah. Y'all in the house, you're going on a dates, whatever, whatever, whatever. And it's like I went to a show with a shorty, and it's like to be in her space, it was like, okay, like, you know, we just I none of my friends were there, her friends were there. So it's like, ⁓ shit, now I'm just in her space. Yeah. And I'm sure she's judging me how I. react. Right. And I'm and I'm you know Yeah how you interact with everybody. Yeah in different scenarios you're doing the same thing. But okay, like how does how does Danny react when I'm with my friends? He's not no one knows what the fuck he is. Right, right. If I go walk away, can he be is he a weirdo? Yeah. Is he like s embarrassing me? You know, is he a cool person? Can he talk to my friends when I'm not there? Can he communicate with my friends? You know, whatever. Is he kind? Is he cool? Is he do they feel safe around this man? Like, yeah. So I think all those things is like a real legitimate test. But yeah, if if niggas hate each other, yeah. Yeah. I will say that that is a big like, girl, you got to you got to figure that shit out. I mean, I I mean I do have I have had a friend who everyone didn't like their partner and was very like Like it was pretty bad. Talking about me, nigga? ⁓ I wasn't even talking about you, but since you fucked you up. ⁓ I I will say we be talking to code on this show. No. Crazy because there's multiple niggas that are like him. Like I wasn't talking about him. Was it one of those where none of y'all fucked with the shorty, but he was like Was like Was like defending her and like still like 'cause usually in that situation when no one likes the shorty, they're the they're all over her. They're like, ooh, I love her so much and there's nothing you can say. It was nasty. No, I don't think he was like super defensive of think it was like apologetic, being like, ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah. But like Under like almost almost understanding of like everyone was everyone was saying but was like sticking with it and everyone was like, yo, this is fucking wild. Yeah, yeah. ⁓ but this nigga no no it was it was it it when I am in those circumstances, I didn't I didn't say anything to him. I did not say anything to him. It was already too late, but I I didn't say anything. And afterwards when I did say Yeah. And he was like, What the fuck? Why don't you say I was like, and that's though that's such a hard thing to say to your boy. I mean, I think too, it's like it the scenario and this is interesting, is ⁓ where people live. Right. You know, this is in goes to family too, but like when you're in a relationship and you live far from some of these people, yeah, you're only really seeing their friends at you know, bachelor parties, Christmas, holidays, birthday trips. I'm coming to town for a thing, let's get dinner, you know. Yeah. So you're you're you're not You're building this relationship with this person kind of isolated from family and other people. Right. We know I like not being from LA. Like any relationship I get in, I'm starting a relationship away from my family. Yeah. So they're only seeing Y'all got your own bubble. Yeah, they're only seeing the shorty I date, you know, whatever, every here and here and there. Right. So that like it's different. It's different. Yeah. What versus we all live in a city and every other weekend we're like going to watch a game or going to bars or we're, you know, we're going to the beach. It's like you're integrated to my friend group now. Right. It's like that's like a real, real test. Yeah, I guess in I in this I like again, we don't know any any details, but if they if if they're not getting along, she gotta start writing a list of of and be real with yourself about what they've been doing. L make a list about what what what are you what are your friends bullshitting about and what is he bullshitting about and who's bullshitting the most. And that's really the only way you can figure it out. ⁓ my god. It's crazy. It's crazy. I don't think I'm actually quite shocked at how many stories I've heard from my friends who are like, Yeah, sh I think she Hates like she said this about me to this person and it got back to me, but yeah she's jealous that I had this Yeah, yeah. Like this is weird and that's It's weird as fuck. It's weird as I I was dating a shorty where where she her homegirl would she was cool with me before me and her were talking. Like we would always be chilling and everything, but as soon as we started talking, she started like kind of being a little mean to me. Or not one that talked to me. And Lon's like, I don't think she fucked with me now that we we dating. And as soon as she got with a man Then she was nice again. So it was like, ⁓ that's what the whole thing was. You was mad the whole time. Yeah, yeah. You was mad the whole time. And now you're cool again. And the like the whole go like inner child shit is like sometimes people just ⁓ I'm losing a little bit of my friend. Right. This is somebody that we we would watch Lovers Bind Together on Sundays and playing. Man. And now, you know, fucking Leroy's here. You know. The bottle of wine by myself. Yeah, yeah. You So I I can understand a little bit of that. But I don't know, niggas, you know, make sure your friends are cool. Make sure your your shorty's battered and good luck. And that's another thing about telling your I was gonna say this too, about telling your homie that that you that no one likes your girl. That's hard. I I've never ever been able to like do it straight up, but at the end of the day, if if your homie's having a conversation with you and then he's like telling you about whatever's whatever's going on, shorty, you gotta be like Hey man, just think about what you're doing for a second. Just think about it for a second. Think about some things for a second. I I'm in a good spot to do that now. Nice. ⁓ I'm like ⁓ the gay friend. ⁓ yeah. Like I'm I'm good at like, yo, she's actually not ⁓ fun at all that was this is awful. You don't see what's what is this? Yeah, yeah. And it's like com coming from a perspective of being like, you should be happy with somebody and you should like what I'm seeing things differently. Right. Because I'm like, ⁓ I'm I don't give a fuck. Yeah. At this point. Especially because there have been two instances where I didn't do it and then they like, why do you Yeah? So I'm gonna say it now. Well I mean I mean saying that early too is good too like yeah I don't know but as early as possible. Yeah. So I feel like girls I feel like girls usually are good about the group chat, like, what do you think about you know, this is always checking in. They have their own council. It's great. Like women are good at that, like community shit. I have people that I talk to every day that I'm if their girl walked past me, I would not know I I have Multiple friends. Yeah. If they go up past me on the sidewalk, I would have no idea what the fuck she looked like. ⁓ shit, okay, yeah, we're going to the wedding? ⁓ yeah, congrats. I'm just like I have no idea. Right. This is unfortunately how niggas move so y'all are the worst. It's not great. It's not great. I mean, but it's also I think me as a dude, I don't like really like pillow talking about shorties that much. I like like ⁓ you know I'm d I'm with so and so so and so like I I don't really like Same here. Gossiping about what do you mean by what do you mean You mean like talking about like relationship problems? Who I'm fucking with? Yeah. Yeah, if if it's if it's problems, that's one thing. Like Right. If you're in a relationship and you're having some happy Me and my man talking like it's a rough time right now. ⁓ I see what you say. That's different versus like I'm gonna tell you every single crack dish short and you're like, Yeah, yeah, I'm talking to this short yeah. Yeah, I'm the same way, yeah. Unless we're really on some specific shit. Right. And we talking about something specifically, I'm yeah, I don't really like Yeah. Yeah, this is Bill Bottom's girl. You know, this is this is whatever. And that's another thing. I I got a nickname for every motherfucker. Yeah. That's crazy. Somebody somebody, a girl told me recently that my nickname in their group chat back in the day was Ankles. And I and I felt some kind of way about that. That makes sense though. Ankles? Has she had she seen your ankles? I think on ⁓ back then my hinge profile was like had had his had a suit on with like shoulder's ankles. Here's the thing, Danny always shoulder his ankles. He loves showing his legs. Danny loves showing his legs. I had socks on. He loves to show his ankles. He loves to show his legs. His knees, the niggas knees I call out anytime this nigga's knees is out on Instagram, I call it showing Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Keep doing that shit. Keep doing that shit. We gotta say them Stephen A. Smith knees. Yeah. It's time to trash. Them Kenny Smith knees, that's all I'm thinking about. Them Kenny Smith knees. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Five part good years when they start crumbling music. ⁓ It's just gonna start crumbling fast. Start wearing braces every day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kenny Smith needs is crazy. It's like, why don't you get that fit? Was this that bad? Get him fixed. He got a lot of money too. ⁓ my gosh. What's going on? You know my random Facebook algorithm, it'll show me these people in India with like bad knees. Yeah. Like bow legged, and they'll fix them. Huh? Whoa. You've been looking this up. No algorithm, right? It's in my you know well Facebook, if you on Facebook now on Facebook I've been on Facebook. Yeah, Facebook is on Facebook. Hack for credit. Yeah. ⁓ so I'll check and see whatever. But literally it'll be like some guy in whatever Del High, whatever fucking the part, you whatever. And they knees be just like cooked, and then it'll be walking down the hall and then but after they'd be fucking straight. There's a motherfucker that's fixed his knees. That's crazy. And some crazy voiceover. Some guys, you he could be saying all kind of nasty shit, but I don't know. But I'm gonna watch the video. I'm gonna give I'm gonna give him a review. I wanna see him be fixed. I wanna see I wanna see that as possible. You gotta I get it. I get it. I get it. I'm gonna see this through. ⁓ all right, well wrapping this thing up. Yeah. We have this thing called toxic take. It's not necessarily a toxic take. It's just something that we just don't want to say at the beginning of the episode. All right. Okay. I have one, feel free to if you have one, share it. But ⁓ I don't know if as a man, it's okay to be at a concert with your shorty and take a video of another man on stage. Ooh. I was at a concert with a shorty recently. Yeah. And ⁓ you know I s I w I didn't have the urge to do it. But I thought about it because people were had their phones out. And I'm like, if I if I'm like if she saw me put my phone out, my eyes up. Yeah. I think she'll be like, ⁓ no, she'll see you differently. She'll see you differently. I hate men. Cause that was the craziest shit I have ever heard. Think about it though. You can't marvel at this nigga. Look it up. Yeah, stars in the eyes. You can't marvel at greatness. You, you, you can't happy and giddy. I'm not saying you gotta have your mouth. ⁓ I'm just saying like you you cut you capture the moment. You know, ⁓ this is my shit. I love this song. I'ma capture this shit so I can post it later. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You wanna share, you wanna listen to this shit later. I'm not saying you gotta be the video with him. I'm not saying you gotta be like, ⁓ my god, that's my favorite. But to but to feel like you can't Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, get everybody in it. Get the whole group, yeah, y'all are taking a group picture together. Yeah. Uhhuh. Y'all are You feel like same way, Eric. I you know, I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying. I don't like to take videos or pictures in at concerts at at all. I'll I'll which is which is another toxic which is just a toxic shake in its own because I don't I'd be like I'm in a moment. I'm in a moment. I'm here right now. I'm here right now. I might get one picture or something outside of the stadium wherever I'm at. But like point it too. Yeah, you'll flip me up real quick. Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying? Exactly. One of those. Yeah, hit that shit real quick. That's about all you're gonna get from me. I'm not gonna Yeah, I I I get what you're saying for sure. Y'all gotta fucking I'm just saying this is something that we gotta be mindful of. Right. You do gotta keep that in mind. For me at least. It is toxic. That's definitely a toxic take. For sure. That's for sure a toxic take. I'm so sorry. You feel the sweat. You can't. You can't be out here fucking Yeah, yeah. You can't have excitement. You can't be excited like that. Nah. She can't say it. This is crazy. You gotta watch you gotta watch the concert with a straight face. Yeah, I love my jams. So yeah. Yeah, you tap her every now and then you're sure. Meanwhile, meanwhile you are the most exciting you are fucking my toes twinkling. You about to cry. ⁓ I played this song so many times. It's my shit. It's my shit, man. Actually, it's the one it's the one. It's the one I believe all the time. ⁓ Yeah. ⁓ Yeah. The flash on the I'm so sorry, y'all for this. I'm so sorry. Do y'all have a any you have anything toxic to say or are you good? I'm trying to think if I have anything toxic to say. I mean my toxic things are just like ⁓ fuck that job. But curious curious Aaron you This is a joke that I'm working on. Have you ever as an adult grown up and in a random scenario, remember that one of your teachers was a freak? ⁓ like at a revelation, like, ⁓ she was she was a freak. Yeah. I I hope she was nothing like nasty she did towards you, but it's like, ⁓ like I can just tell by her vibe, she was kind of on some nasty shit. I'll say this. In high school, there was a there was a teacher that she was for sure trying to smash one of the homies. For sure was. She never did. I don't I mean he never said she did, but like you could tell she was on this nigga like tough. Tough. And it was one of those like a is it was it like a you know, fifteen year old like, ⁓ yeah, yo, she wanna fuck you. We was we was seniors and she was probably like early twenties probably. That's when everyone started teaching. It was close. So it was yeah, so it was close enough for her to have that kind of yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the nigga was successful, he was on the football team. I'm born in January, so He got into a good school. ⁓ shit. Damn. She's really gonna be strategic. Yeah. Yeah. But that's the only one that's only one I can really I can really think of. And then the rest of them like, and this is gonna be crazy for me to see on camera, but like but like the ones that I thought were fine when I was a kid were like They I th I ended up working with them as an adult. ⁓ so now I'm like, ⁓ these are my coworkers now. This is just older women now. Yeah, I mean, like so it's a whole different thing. Are teachers like hooking like what's the f fraternizing life? You don't have to get into you know, ruin your career, but like ⁓ are teachers like kicking it? Are they being is it like a young teacher group where we all going out getting fucked up and like sometimes fucking re each other or like? ⁓ I mean, in my experience, nah, to be honest. I mean there's like 'cause there's a I mean The young teachers all do hang out. Sure. I mean I'm sure some of them be fucking or whatever, but like, you know, ⁓ Back when I was young in Charlotte, yeah, all the Teach for America girls was gone. Mm. If you was a teacher for America, you was gone. Fine little fine shit. She even wanna be a teacher for a real but she's for America. She in the hood, kids beating her up all day every day. They fighting, you know, she in the fucking trenches. She's making thirty thousand dollars a year. She's twenty eight thousand dollars a year. She had a corolla that she behind on payments. Two payments. I remember when I was in elementary school, there was these two, like I think I even I think they were teachers' aides or something, but they was fine as hell. Yeah. They were so fine. I don't even know how to begin to describe them. They was just bad. One of them was light skinned, one was dark skinned. It was crazy. Broke as hell. They worked the morning. In retrospect, damn, you ain't even a teacher. You broke as fuck. How do you get your money up? Ma'am. Get your money up, ma'am. Yeah. Get your money up. Write me a pass. Shut up. I got I got a toxic. I got a toxic one. This is the last name. That that ⁓ and this might not even be toxic, but after fucking after having sex, I gotta put my drawers on. Ha! If I like you, I'm I'm just keeping naked. You yeah if you if you keep it naked, if you like naked. If you and I and I don't have gas. Cause that gas be creeping up. After I'm after after what? If I like it and my stomach don't hurt. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I see that. I I raise it that I raise that. You can't be out I thought it was just me. You can't be out here, you know what I'm saying? You got ooh ooh. I'm just rawing your bed now. My my thing is, yeah, I mean My thing is look, like soft wiener just don't look good. No, it's crazy. You gotta cover it up for sure. That's what I'm saying. I cover it somehow. I gotta cover it a little bit. And it also to me, it feels like like like pre-game warm-up pants. Like if you're on the basketball team, you got the pants on. Back on the bench. Back on the bench. I'm sitting down. Yeah, I'm sitting back down wiping off my face and waiting till I could then I get back in and take them office. Yeah, yeah. I expect my knees. Yep.
