James Geist: Welcome to Dads on a Map, a board game podcast by Dads for everyone. I'm James. And I'm Tim. And on today's show, we are live from Punchboard ParadiseCon in Nebraska. That's right. Listen in on some of our favorite plays from the con weekend, including The Old Prince, Liberty or Death, Rocky Ventures, and so much more. Enjoy the show. Tim, nice to see you again in the flesh. It's been so, so long. Yeah, I think it's been one one month. Yeah, a few couple weeks, that's it. That's it. We played disc golf at Emporia, Kansas a couple weeks or months or whatever it was ago, but here we are again. It's been an awesome weekend like it always is here at Punchboard Paradise. It's in ⁓ just outside Omaha, Nebraska. In a very similar retreat style center to Dome Con. We've talked about it a million times over the last few years, I feel like on the show. Yeah, it's always a great time. It's I know you've said it's a the beginning of summer and then it's just all gaming from here until Dome Con. Yep. We are on a one mic ⁓ situation here. So if you hear a little ⁓ rocky handoffs between us, sorry. Welcome to welcome to live podcast recording on site. We deal with what we got. We're gonna talk about what we think might be some games that are interesting to the dads on a map audience. But of course, you can find Tim over on the Punchboard Paradise Podcast Network. on the two off the top show where he and Clef talk ⁓ disc golf, movies, sports, occasionally some board games. I'm sure there'll be PP Con wrap up shows, probably two different wrap up shows for both those ⁓ podcasts. Yes, we're we've already talked about last night we're gonna have a Part one, part two. That's the goal. Because in addition to the con weekend here that I joined you for, you've been in Omaha for a couple more days. So you got a lot to talk about on two off the top. You're right. Disc golf and and stuff. ⁓ so PP Con again, awesome. ⁓ the Ashland, or we're in Ashland, Nebraska at the Carol Joy Hollings Retreat Center. ⁓ we are in the second level of it right now in the chapel recording. Dome in church for the first time ever. ⁓ I just said when we came in, we should we should have done my blood on the clock tower game in here. There's like a altar and like nice like window. Yeah, could it could have been epic in here, but it was epic anyway. ⁓ anyway, some notables kind of from the from the weekend that might not get deep dive love from us. There was an awesome crokenole tourney on the first day run by our friend Joe Farrell. The cleanest Crokinole tourney I've ever played in. We were in and out with I think a dozen entrants, maybe fourteen, ⁓ in ninety minutes. I mean, ⁓ you can't beat that. We played kind of a tournament scoring where it's just whoever scores most in the previous in the round gets some points. And then the top four performers after six qualifying matchups made a playoff played and we won. Or we won. I didn't win. I l I I actually lost. I ⁓ made it to the championship. I lost to our friend Jake, ⁓ but it was so clean. So thanks to Joe for running that. There was a ⁓ skulking tournament, which is kind of a pee pee con tradition that ⁓ neither Tim or I played in. No, usually this is my first time not playing. We were deep in the throes of another game that we'll talk about, but I did feel bad kind of missing it, but it was I'm glad they had it. It's I'm sure it was a great time. You know, the con is like a good layout in that. I didn't even really have to know the Skull King tournament was happening because it's loud. And we were in like there's kind of a three room setup for lack of a better word that kind of stretch across the ⁓ the venue. ⁓ but you're never you're never like disconnected from the group. You're just in the next room and there's a lot of sound prediction. ⁓ what else did I put on here? I ran a nineteen player game of Blood on the Clock Tower. The biggest game I think I've run before that was nine or ten people. And so that was a large ⁓ large increase for me personally. A lot of stress on the old storyteller here. It was loud, it was raucous, it was long. ⁓ but it from all indications, most of the people in that room had an amazing time. Tim was not in the room. I could not pull him in. I wanted to help you out. I didn't want to make it 20 people. Make it easy. I must have walked around the venue like five times confirming my numbers. And I'm like, okay, 18, right? Finally got to 18. What happens? Someone else walks in. This is blowing the clock tower, right? I'm like, son of a bitch. Okay, let me get back to the drawing board on this thing. Pretty easy at that point to add another ⁓ traveler to the game. I played Doppelkoff and Mahjong with the same people I played with last year, Aaron, Kim, and Pat. Doppelkoff was really dope because We played with two different decks. We played with the Doppelkoff 2.0 helper deck that I've always played with. But then these folks that I was playing with are comfortable enough after two years of Doppelkoff and 48 hands of it that we tried the Psybepu deck that I bought earlier this year and really enjoyed playing with that too. It was nice losing the guardrails of the ⁓ Trump markings on the on the helper deck. ⁓ I feel like it made you kind of interact with the game a little more and not just go, ooh, numbers and play them, you know, from number down. So that was a lot of fun as well. Any other little notables for you before we jump into our full plays? No, I gotta I I gotta save something for my own podcast. You are right. I'm sure that's difficult. I don't. Here we go. We played The Old Prince 1871, fresh off I guess this is my first podcast since the official announcement from Joshua Starr and Grand Trunk Games that they are Printing the old prints coming to Kickstarter, I think June 15th. And so that's very soon. And the looks that I've seen of it and the little bit of teasers that Josh has rolled out, I am really excited for the vibes in this one. Yeah, absolutely. I was very excited to get this to the table. And with the teasers and it's got me, I'm ready to back it and get it in my hands. It looks like it's kind of a So apparently, Prince Edward Island has kind of a heavy ghost story, gloomy like vibe and history to it, whether that's like ⁓ urban legend kind of stuff or just the general I I don't know. I've never been to Prince Edward Island. Maybe it's just gloomy. but they're really leaning in to kind of that vibe, the artwork, the dark kind of palette of colors. I think this is gonna be really cool. A really cool treatment for the old prints, which is a lights out game. Like that is unsaid, but to kind of put, you know, their Grand Trunk, you know, twist on it, like they did to 1889, which from all accounts has been a rousing success. I mean, it's sold out like numerous times, I believe. And everyone, you know, I've heard firsthand tales of a lot of converts to 18xx, thanks to it. So it's cool. I can't wait to see what it is. Absolute day one backer. especially after the table was picking apart my sharpied up ⁓ certs and stuff like that. They're like, What is this? And I'm like, Well, I'm not fixing it now. I mean, the Kickstarter is imminent, so I'm definitely not fixing it. There was a revision at one point a few years ago that just changed some private's ⁓ values coming into the auction, things like that. So I just sharpied them on my print and play. Anyway, the old prints 1871. We played a four-player game. ⁓ myself, Tim. Pat and Nov. and coming out of the opening auction, I was the union bank player. I had a little bit of private income, but I was that was really just my spot. I was the union bank player. Tim, what was your like position? What what'd you win out of the auction and where did that put you? If you don't remember, I think I think you were the short line. Yeah, yeah. I know. I I had a short line. I was running that. I had a couple in the The main line and I had I actually made the same amount of c shares. So we were running at at the same time. Yeah. You had a really interesting spot in those like first two ORs because you had three shares of Summerside, the main line, which is what the president had. Three shares. And then in fact, me being the bank, I had a personal share and one in the bank. So I had two shares. And then player four had two shares. So it was a really unique game that the main line was super crazy. Co-owned across the board. And what it meant is Tim running the short line did not have a reason to push trains because the main line had all the twos, right? Because they operated first, they bought the twos, but Tim was making just as much money. And so it was a very rich early game where everyone was kind of getting paid out together. Now, I said as the experienced top player at the table, I said repeatedly, like, you guys got to push the game. You guys got to push the game. Like the bank. wants this game to just sit, right? Even if you're making more than me right now, the longer we sit, the more shares I put in this bank, you know, that's the way I win. And but it but it's hard. It's hard to justify pushing the trains as Tim's position when you're making all the money. ⁓ the main line was train locked. They couldn't buy a new train. And the peer was kind of piling up and making money too. our fourth player Pat, he was the peer player with three shares. And he was honestly raking some money because again, the trains weren't moving for a little bit. ⁓ so a really interesting early game, which kind of s I felt like tailed into a mid game, which was, you know, the mainline and short line now ran out of money around the two plus trains because we had so much ownership of shares. There were no shares paying to the to the IPO, to the company to give them some money to start doing stuff. ⁓ the Hunslet was bought in really early by Nav, the main line owner. So there was that that caching fusion happened a little earlier than in my typical plays. But what this meant for the long run was a long game. ⁓ not only in time span, but in ORs, which was just benefiting the bank. Tim's MR Murray River shortline ended up above the main line, which is also a little bit rare. The main line usually holds its position as the top stock. ⁓ and Tim got it all the way to the top and he he got one one goal for the rest of the game, right? Yeah. I wanted to ring the bell, hit the top spot of the stock market, and then just hit that bell and I was able to do it at the last second and it was it was great. I believe it's the first time I've ever seen a company top out in in top in the top right corner and get to the four hundred spot, which then for every run after that just adds forty per share to your payout. ⁓ there was only one. Up said run, right? Because he just hit it. But it it was threatening. Like I there was a very good portion in the middle of the game where I thought Tim was winning the game because your shares were so strong. You had both mainline and short line, a you know, bucket of shares all over 100 in value in that mid game, right? ⁓ you did eventually have to sell out of the main line out of fear of a dump because openly talking about it for a while. And it ended up actually going on our peer player who had two, which sunk his game. Yeah. Pat was done after that dump and it was it was great. I mean, I I can't wait to get the new copy whenever that comes out and I'll force it on everybody that I can. Was this your first on the table play of it? No, I did play two years ago at Dome Con with Lucas and Joe, and it was ⁓ it was a great play and and it reinforced my love for the system and this game in particular is a f fantastic entry into the whole 18xx world. Do you think it's so a lot of people are gonna be asking this question, like with the Kickstarter ⁓ imminent and while they're deciding to back, you know, having been playing top for four or five years, to me it's it's not a complex game, right? The systems aren't even I don't even consider them weird or abnormal or a MacGuffin anymore because I'm so familiar with the system. but as like an 18xx purist, right, who loves 1830, it's it's a bit it's pretty good departure. Like the the auction is a departure. The peer existing is a departure. The ⁓ the bank being a thing, no yellow stone, no yellow stock zone. A lot of people are gonna be saying is Well, I don't know if a lot of people, because listen, a lot of people just buy every 18XX game that comes to Kickstarter and game you know, game found or whatever. But for ⁓ for people who are not sure if they want to get into another 18XX game, this one looks daunting, I feel like, from the outside, but the systems are so elegantly interwoven together that it ends up being an absolute smash hit to me and and no longer feels complex, confusing, or or out of left field. Yes, I would agree. Obviously it helps when you are familiar with the system and you're able to run the game, but the complications of some other eighteen XX games are removed and they're the new McGuffins or whatever are very elegantly placed in here and can run super smooth. Okay. There you go. Back at June fifteenth or somewhere around then, since I don't we're just kinda sitting in a in a church recording right now. So ⁓ All right, I'm gonna hand off to Tim who's gonna tell us about a game. Yeah, so before the con started, we actually the night, you know, it's always a pre-con night gaming deal, and we were able to get in a game of Wizwar. Now I've heard about this game a bunch, and I know it's out of print. I guess there's a new version, but I guess that version is no good, as I was told. But this was ⁓ con if his favorite game, so he's like, I want to get this game to the table. Sure. This is a Complete nonsense game that I feel domers would really like. It's a you just play as a wizard and you're just trying to beat up the other players, and you get a hand of cards and you're playing just random spells. It just ⁓ super simple. And what is funny in this game is I didn't know what I was in for because I'm, you know, I've just heard about it, but being able to play a card, trap a player in a corner. And they're just running around on their turn, they have nothing to do, but they get cards and they're trying to like they spawn a rock and they're throwing a rock at a wall. So it's very thematic. I I guess in a jokey sort of I hate saying thematic when you're a wizard punching other literally punching other wizards, but the idea of it is great and I would love to find a copy. I guess the fantasy flight copy is the one to get, but I don't know how hard it's to get, but it is a great time and I would love to play it again. Is it like a how many players did you play? We played four. And is it like a smash everybody kind of game or is it a point grabbing game or is it elimination or so each wizard you get I get I we were I was told that you want to get two points. You can get a point by killing another wizard, or that another way to get a point is each wizard has like two, I guess like spell books. And so if you can pick those up and bring them back to your base, that is also another point another way to win. Cool. I've I I feel like somebody talked about this in Dome recently and ⁓ I know it's like kind of a beloved it's an 80s game. Or is yeah, I I think so. Okay, cool. Wiz war. Sounds cool. I'll play it at Dome Con. I'm sure. Yeah. ⁓ the next play I want to talk about is Rocky Ventures. So this is the ⁓ f follow-up or the next game from Tabletopa's Games, or at least currently under development from Tabletopa's Games. ⁓ our friend Nav from Tabletopas came here to the con and brought a prototype of Rocky Ventures designed by Pontius Nilsson, who is the designer of Stellar Ventures. Nav was like, I want you to play this. You if you know me, I'm definitely not the playtest guy. Like, it's just not my vibe. I'd rather play weird old games from the nineties that somehow already got made that that nobody wants to play. But I was like, All right, let me let me sit down to the thing. Completely blind. I don't know anything about this game going in. So we sit down at the table, and first and foremost, every player in front of them has five action selection cards that I'm looking at, and I'm like, ⁓ what am I gonna do? I almost feel like it looks like Arc Nova, right? Five things in front of me, and I'm like, what are we getting into here? It turns out here's how Rocky Ventures works. You have a a little meeple, an action selection thing, and you start at the front of your tableau. We're actually building a tableau here, and the front of your tableau has In this case, three action choices on it. You might invest, which is buy a new card from a market. There's like a pack style market sitting out here that goes five, four, three, two, one. In addition to the five, four, three, two, one, each card has a cost. So the card in row two is going to cost four plus maybe it has a six on it, 10 bucks to get that card. Whenever you buy a card, you add it to the end of your tableau to the far right. So after you've taken your first action of invest, you then have to just walk to the right. Down your tableau. So you step to the right and you're going to do whatever is on this next card, right? That next card might have said, claim a mine. So out on the board, there are a kind of a point-to-point winsome-ish network of ⁓ two delivery sites, two kind of big cities. This whole vibe of the game, first of all, is not for me. It it's like a Lord of the Rings-ish mountainous region of a bunch of Lord of the Rings ish names that I couldn't pronounce or I was just mocking the whole time. Not really my vibe. I'm not a Lord of the Rings guy, but this could be a draw for people. ⁓ so there's two kind of delivery cities on a point-to-point network that extend out to touch mines every so often. And the mines are little discs that are out there. You're gonna have to claim a mine to gain ownership of it. And then your goal is to deliver the gold that's in that mine back to these two cities and get money based on the current value of gold. I'm not going to go into the super ⁓ minute details of the rules here, but claim a mine. And then one of your other action cards down the row here is make a delivery, basically. That's how you're going to get money. And when you do this, you are going to run it across certain train color lines. There are four train companies of four different colors. If you're making a delivery across their lines, you're going to kind of put the delivery in their company, which is going to increase that company's value. There's a lot going on in Rocky Ventures, right? You have a tableau management situation here. You have some rail delivery stuff. You're building track with those companies to reach the mines that you're interested in making deliveries from while increasing the value of those stock companies. With the opportunity to invest in those stock companies. So there's a lot going on in Rocky Ventures. Sometimes I felt like there was too much going on in Rocky Ventures, ⁓ that it was pushing and pulling you in too many directions. But the real highlight, and I think the bones of the game is this tableau situation. And it was interesting and cool. It is not very cube rails-y, ⁓ other than the the the company investment, which is a kind of a lighter part of the game. The tableau management and just making money is really the heart of the game. And it felt much more of a modern-ish Euro game. But I liked it, right? It was kind of if in Arcnova, you got to ⁓ not only reorder your cards that you can kind of do in Arcnova when you use one, you send it to the front. Here you're walking down the line, but anytime you want, you can skip a space on your tableau instead of just walking straight to the right. You can walk multiple steps by either paying a dollar for each card you skip, or you can just jettison them out of your thing. So you can reduce your tableau. Cause every time you buy a new card, it goes to the end, right? So you have an opportunity throughout the game to craft your tableau into this better system of coming back here to invest. I'm coming here to to claim a new mine, coming here to deliver. Ooh, I got another delivery card from the tableau. I'm going to deliver again, right? There's this whole thing with like upgrading your tools to be able to ⁓ deliver more efficiently, upgrading your weapons to fight monsters that are on the board that are gonna reduce the ⁓ the amount of your delivery. Like I said, it has a lot going on in it, but I found the bones very intriguing and a very comfortable play. Like for a first time out, I was really enjoying like what we were doing and having fun, like just kind of playing with this tableau situation. So I know it's still heavy in development, right? ⁓ everything I said here, if you ever get an opportunity to try it, could completely not exist anymore. But as far as like being excited about Tabletopa's next offering, I am now quite excited about it. More excited maybe than I am to play Stellar Ventures right now. Having I I did a fair amount of of playtesting and I don't want to use the word development, like I did anything, but like Iterations through the cycle, right? To where and you know, it's not exactly my kind of cube rails game. I don't necessarily know that in my life I need a a heavier thematic cube rails game, which is what Stellar Ventures is. ⁓ but I was excited about playing Rocky Ventures and excited about its prospects going forward. Yeah, I was bummed I was not able to play. It was when I saw you guys playing, it was kind of funny because I felt the Lord of the Rings esque type of thing. And I was like hearing that Lord of the Rings music while playing this like over and I it look I mean it looks really good. I yeah. It did I mean yes still d in development, but it looks like something that's gonna be really solid. And I feel like after the play we had a a good long talk with Nov about some of our suggestions and just kind of how the game could could be more QB, first of all, feel like a little more of a train game. And how some of the systems maybe we we could reduce some bloat and kind of push it into a tighter package, maybe combining kind of some of the different, you know, elements that were happening in it. Again, we're just people playing the game, giving our input, but that is a big part of development. So I'm excited I'm excited to see how it goes. And I would definitely like In a month or two, if somebody said you want to do another an online playtest or at Dome Con, I would absolutely play it again and see where it's at now. So maybe that's something that's gonna go on my list. ⁓ okay, that was Rocky Ventures. Let's talk about ⁓ a game that we both played. I'll just let Tim pitch this one. He's like, This is gonna be awkward. Why you make me do this? Tim brought a little design of his, speaking of guy who doesn't want to play test anything. ⁓ This game is called Bad Bets. I'll let Tim just kind of give an elevator pitch. So yeah, this is pitch my game. This is a a really dumb game, and I came up with the idea just literally a couple weeks ago and I had to scramble to get a working prototype and just cobbled a bunch of pieces together. It's a simple betting dice rolling party game. It takes maybe 20 minutes to play. You're just flipping over cards at a whole party. The main mechanism is using the Skull King auction. I guess I will how on Skull King, you go, I forget where you go, yo ho ho, right? And then you bid how many bets you're or tricks you're gonna take in that hand. I use the same mechanism, you know, screaming make bad bets, and you're bidding on these cards to be able to roll dice to earn money to hopefully get more money. But the idea was if anyone's familiar, there was a Dome con play where Clef, we played Prussian Rails and he's complains all the time how he didn't have a turn. So the idea was how can I make a game where you could potentially win without actually ever having a main turn? And yeah, this game, at least this iteration, you know, again, heavily underdevelopment right now, or whatever you want to call it. What we did in our play, we all started with a hundred bucks and You're gonna flip two cards and they're gonna show you which dice, right? Here's a D6 and a D20, right? So you might be able to make twenty-six dollars off of this roll if you win it. So what you're gonna do is do a closed fist, one, two, three, reveal how much money you're willing to pay for it. Okay, I flash a five, right? Other people flashed a five. Those people are we're gonna do it again and stack those bids, right? How much are you willing to pay to try to win twenty-six dollars? All right. So I end up winning it right with a $13 bid like a fool. And then I roll the dice and what do they come up? Eight. Right. Right. ⁓ I lost five dollars. That's the that is the game, right? But for a 10-minute filler level party game, I really enjoyed what was happening in it. Like it's on the level of Puerto Banana, you know, it's on the level of what can we play real quick because we got to kill 10 minutes before lunch. And I think it has it has some legs in that market. Who doesn't love rolling dice? Who doesn't love making foolish edge case bets? Right. Because that's what it was all about was like, okay, I'm gonna spend 11 to win this auction, but potentially I could make 20. You know, the there's a little bit more minutiae within the betting rules there that can trickle down to a second place winner and stuff like that that I thought were interesting. But I think it's a I think it's a cool novel. idea right now and you know I'm not gonna try to pump your head up or anything, but like ⁓ you know I can see it in an oink box, right? Because it's that small. Card deck and what six dice or something like that. so I I think it it has an interesting idea. So I I really enjoyed it. Yeah, I'm excited. It'll be a Dome Con. So if you're a Dome Con, you I'll bring it maybe. I'm sorry. That's it. So that's bad bets by Tim. For now. We'll see where where it goes. I'll let you take over with your next game. It doesn't have to be the little part of the. That's fine. No, so this is another game with Nav. Nav gets the superstar treatment here. Okay. Yeah, I know. ⁓ so this is gonna be the Ur 1830 BC. This is Splotter's take on the eighteen XX game. And you know, if you're familiar or if you're not familiar, there's no trains in it. It's you're still route building. The shares are actually plots of land in a kingdom or company and There's it's kind of wild because there's four different land types, and you could sell a land of desert in one company and then buy a different land forest in the same company. So it's well, you can't buy another desert, but it's really has really cool stuff. It was very good. This is my second play. I got a couple rules wrong this time. I want to make a player aid. It's really good. I am excited to play it again. I know that they're coming out with a reprint soon, hopefully. I would love for more people to get. And access to be able to play this one. Nob dumped a company on me, which was excellent. He was looking at me kind of weird because he felt a little bad. I Yeah, do it. It's exciting. I want to see how it goes, right? This is we're st I'm still exploring this game a lot. And it is definitely rough around the edges in some parts. The rules don't really help in that aspect, but there is really cool stuff happening. And it it's jumping to the top of my splatter stuff because how When you learn what it's doing, the smoothness of it and the little jankiness, it kind of has like that charm that I really appreciate. And I I wanna I I wanna play some more. Right now, this is all I want to play right now. this was a P and P map that you found on BGG, but the production the P and P production looks so good. Like it just looked really clean. It almost looked like bus pastel bus. You know, it was kind of the like when I walk by the table, I'm like, what am I looking at here? Because it almost looked like ⁓ you know, there's a bunch of sticks on it because you guys are like laying irrigation or whatever to connect your canals or whatever's happening in it. So it looked bus-ish, but I really like the look of it. ⁓ does this are you do you know? Is this anything like what the ⁓ all aboard games is gonna look like? No. So I don't know what the all of the new versions look like. I this is actually not a BGG one. This is actually from a domer who shared it with Eamon. Yeah. So Eamon. ⁓ Yeah. And ⁓ very happy. It looks fantastic and it's really good. This is like the culmination of my P and P skills right now. And so it's ⁓ it took a few tries to get to where it's at now. I don't know what the new one looks like. Looking at the old map, it looks a little hard the map itself is hard to read just because of the design of it, but the version that you know he made it I'm really happy with and it looks good. ⁓ there's you'll see pictures of it in the Discord for sure. Cool. ⁓ yeah, as I walked by and saw you playing this and listened to a couple of your different descriptions from the people at the table, I I was super intrigued. I I have never given myself the time to to look into this game because it was always so ungettable. And it was like, I'm like, who am I gonna play it with? I can't even get my crew to play 18x, but maybe they will play a splayer disguised as an 18xX, right? So we'll see. Okay, I'm interested to check that one out as well. again, another Nav game. This is ridiculous. Just pumping the guy up. Nav was coming from New York and so he's flying right with a bag. And I'm like, hey, do you own Aqueduct? Because I had heard it in passing. mainly because it was one of those weird games on BGG that Cole Worley rated really high, which you know is like A badge of honor and a warning sign to stay away, which is like music to my ears, right? ⁓ Cole Worley had like left some good comments on it. And then I heard the hidden gems guys talk about it on a recent show of theirs. And their description was it's like Santiago, but if you could roll dice and just explode somebody. And I'm like, Well, I mean, how could I not come play that game? So I asked Nav, do you own Aqueduct? He's like, Yes, he brought it. We played it late last night. It was a four-player game for us. It does not go up to five. So if you know, there's the there's a difference from Santiago. But Aqueduct is a game. It's kind of like two Santiago boards plastered side by side of little square plots. It's a game of building wells and irrigation. They kind of have their own little rule. And you're putting out plots of land, unlike Santiago, instead of rolling, instead of getting to just pick where you want to put something after you win it. In this game, you take a D20. You roll it and you can build a plot in that section if you want to. If you do it, you can roll the D20 again and build another one. If you do that, you can roll the D20 again and build another one. If you ever decide you don't want to build in a location, you say you're gonna stop, you're done with the D20 rolling. So your turns over basically. Instead of rolling a D20 and adding your plots to the land, you can add irrigation from a well, or you can add a new well to the board. There's up to five wells. That exists on the board, unlike Santiago again. ⁓ the hook here is you have buildings in your plots with one, two, three, or four value, and you're just trying to build them and get them irrigated ⁓ while trying to not irrigate other people's buildings. ⁓ one of the things in Santiago, like one of the go to moves, of course, is when you get to build a tile that's already irrigated, right? It's like a slam dunk. In aqueduct, if you have that opportunity, you roll it, you you roll good. With your D20, you rolled a 12, and in the 12 area, there's already irrigation. You can only put your smallest building there. So you can only get that free one point. However, if you burn all your one-pointers, you can put in your two because it's your smallest building now. So there's a little bit of that going on in the game. ⁓ the game ends when all the irrigation is used up, which is a player-controlled timer, and it was so fast, probably 20 to 25 minutes, ⁓ blitz through the game, super light, right? Because the dice fully control where you can build, you have to be cool with that. You have to be okay with that idea of I might get no decisions because I just keep rolling dice in a bad area that has no irrigation. But once you build there, you can take a turn next time to build irrigation. There was definitely shared incentive where we planned out some turns as a turn order, right? Where it was like, hey, wait, if you put it there, when my turn comes up, I'll build a well. Then when it gets back to you, you build irrigation. And in bet if there's anyone in between you, they got the chance to to muck that up, right? Because the there's some rules around well building and how it can go and it can't double back on itself and things like that that would allow people to kind of stick their fingers in in your pie and mess it up. ⁓ I really liked it. It it's probably on the weight and seriousness of a game like Spectaculum. You know, Spectaculum is a cube railsy game. with random randomness because you're reaching in the bag for what you get to do. But the thing, the decisions you get to make can have shared incentive, can have interesting, you know, moments. And it kind of felt like on that weight, which I I love a game like Spectaculum in my collection for when it is someone new to the genre or 20 to 30 minutes. So I'm probably going to try to hunt one of these down on BGG. I I think I saw them for For pretty cheap, like ten bucks or something like that. So obviously I'm gonna buy one if it's that cheap. ⁓ but yeah, I like this. Do you have any knowledge or experience of this game? No, I know that there were there was like some rumblings about it on the Discord and I saw it and looked it looks interesting. It's another old game. I I was going to bed when you guys were setting it up. Not not a top twenty game, I think is a easy thing for me to say, but a fun filler game. And I think that's okay. Small box it's a spectaculum size box, actually. And So yeah, there you go. That is ⁓ Aqueduct. ⁓ another game we both got to play together. And this one gonna breeze through pretty quickly because I've talked about it, I think, on the last two episodes of this podcast. Kuhandle Master, we're back again. So on night one, I had myself and Tim and Clef and some people, and I was like, all right, you guys ready for some weird old German stuff? And I brought a stack that included Puerto Banana, ⁓ D. Draconinsel. I don't know what else. And I was like, how serious a game do y'all want to play? And I kind of got a general not very serious. So I didn't bring out Ku Handle Master since it is, I thought, at least an hour game probably. ⁓ we played some nonsense at that point. The next night though, I was like, we're playing Ku Handle Master. I was hoping for a high player count game of this because I've played four at home, but after the old prints, we were looking for something. I was like, the four of us are just gonna play this game. It was awesome in the opinion of this podcaster. it hit just like last time. And I'm gonna be honest, the one of the big worries I had with Ku Handle Master is the playtime because I think it could drag. We pushed those auctions, baby. And I thought that was a really good decision to kind of say this is how this is gonna work. Because what we did is immediately you flip a card, and if no one says anything, going once, going twice. ⁓ ⁓ 10 going once, going twice, 20, going once, going twice. ⁓ which really instigated the bidding immediately. Did we play this in an an hour? Am I am I like rose tinted glasses here? No. I think yeah, we I think it I think it was less than an hour. And the bidding, it felt nice. It was keeping a strong pace, and I cannot picture doing this any other way without some sort of tempo that we're leading. Yeah. We ⁓ we so we played the old prints in Quiet room. There's there's a quiet room where the idea is just, you know, this is a room where people are gonna play more serious games that they want to lock in on and not hear somebody doing party bullshit next to them. Then but we played Candlemaster. We played Cahandelmaster in the same room and we were getting the evil eye from Clef. I can't decide if Clef is giving us the evil eye or the jealous eye. Because I think it was both, because he was deep in some big box euro, right? ⁓ and we were having fun counting down because you know, there's the different auction types you can handle where the the one where you're counting down. So he's probably like, Why are they counting? And then why do they keep saying going once, going twice? ⁓ this game built to a fever pitch. Again, I love the conclusion of this game where it's like we've all got all our money cards, we all want to get all the things. Tim and I were positioned where I had two horses, he had two horses. But then you have your neighbor with like they want to come take your final cow or whatever. And it's just where's the money gonna go? We had our final bid off for the horses. ⁓ Tim brought seven hundred and sixty dollars to the bid. Yeah. And I brought twelve hundred and seventy dollars to the bid. So I won horses, which ended up being the game winner for me. But a close finish with me and and Pat. ⁓ this is not a game that all four players are going to have a close score. Someone is getting wrecked in this game. So I think you have to be okay with that. ⁓ you said several times in in during this play, I just don't think this is really my type of game. So the bluffing aspect and all that stuff, I'm not a huge fan of those types of games. They remind me a lot of cockroach poker where you're like, ⁓ here's some cards. Do you want them? And they like like probably not. I don't want I don't want these cards. But you're trying to do that. So in the beginning it was not my favorite thing. It did Perk up at the end and I I may have something else to say about it a little later. But ⁓ I know I know what what all's on the list for later. ⁓ but yeah, ⁓ Ku Handlemaster for a second play. I am tickled with it again. So still high recommendation for me. Again, I want to try those high player counts and see see where it goes. ⁓ yeah. All right, Tim, what's your other game? All right. This game is Liberty or Death. This is one of the games I scheduled. That I really wanted to get in. We are in our what is it, 250th? I don't know how that bisequa centennial, whatever. Yeah, anniversary of American Revolution. So I wanted to get this in. I'm trying to schedule a July Revolution game day deal. And so I was like, ⁓ yeah, let's get a play in. And this is my second play of this. I was the Patriots. We did play a short game scenario. It did not did not feel very short. We were playing for a long time. ⁓ I was set up really good before the second prop card. ⁓ the cards didn't work out for me in the end. So I did end up just coming in second place, but To the British. It was great. It was so much fun. I do have a copy of this. I have not played my own copy, but I'm looking forward to getting more plays of this. Every time I play a coin game, I always ask myself, why am I not playing more coin games? I just find I don't personally right now, I don't have the group to handle them. I'm trying to find that group, but it is so much fun. I've heard the criticism for this one in particular, how it looks like it more of a two-player game because how to how the factions are so intertwined with the French and the Patriots and then the British and the Indians. And I can see how it would be really, really good two player. It's just a I mean, it was great. I can't wait to play it again. More good altcoin is good coin for me right now. So that's pretty much it. That when you say like it it'd be a good two player game, that's because like I I I was in the room playing Mahjong while you guys were playing this and in the quiet room, by the way. ⁓ And it was quiet. It was nice. You and your partner, you guys even like sat on the same side of the table. So there is there a strong chance of like quarterbacking if you have a ⁓ I'll say ⁓ a a loud voice or or or anything like that? I would there is a you have a shared incentive. So one each of those groupings, those pairings, their win conditions are shared and then they will have an additional one that's not shared. So it is possible where if the l louder, so to speak, player it's like, hey, we should do this to try to, you know, move support one way or the other. It is possible to have that. But I I didn't find that it was like a huge deal because you do have a shared incentive to both get that same thing because that's how you win. Cool. ⁓ yeah. It sounded ⁓ it sounded fun. I it you know, playing mahjong essentially in silence over here. Heard you guys a lot, like rule rule book digging and things like that, and that always makes me feel the pain. Everyone's been there, right? But it's necessary evil sometimes of games you don't get to play very often, right? ⁓ cool. All right, liberty or death. ⁓ my last game I want to talk about, then we're gonna hit some kind of superlatives of our ⁓ for the con. ⁓ an infamous traffic. Haven't tabled this in a long time. And Clef from Punchboard Paradise has been asking me, I think for three years. Hey, can you bring infamous traffic? And I'm always like, Yeah, I'll bring it. It's this big, you know? So I bring it along and then inevitably we don't get it played. So last night it was like we are getting an infamous traffic in. I even brushed up on the rules to make sure I was ready ahead of time. Guess what? It didn't end up mattering. I ended up looking up the same things I always have to look up when I play in infamous traffic, which is usually merchant placement rules with special envoy in open or closed ports and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But We played infamous traffic at five player, which means it's only a three round game, which kind of speeds things along. ⁓ again, I adore the core systems here. Like it is intertwined out of the gates in a beautiful way. In our play, the open of the game was player one invested in a merchant because it's free. Player two invested in a merchant because it's free. Player three invested in a merchant because it's free. I was about to invest in a merchant and then I was like, Clef was on my right, and I said, What if I invest in ships, you invest in opium, and then next wrapper on the table will complete this line, get some income, and then we'll have a leg up on what's going on here. Okay, of course, we'll do that. So that's what we did. And then the other players invested in ships and opium to knock us off of our ⁓ our perch as the industry leader in the game. ⁓ And then it just kind of deteriorated. What happened was, and this happened, infamous traffic is so fragile. Another player went after me with ships, where we were both kind of battling to be the ship leader of the game. Another player went after the merchant person to be kind of the merchant leader of the game. Clef was kind of left alone to be the only opium dealer of the game. He he got that leg up that was kind of in, you know. And at the same time, I feel like the merchant guy reclaimed his P and then it was a two-man race. It was a two-man race because they had their industry leader carved out. They were making so much more money. ⁓ we didn't have a war in ⁓ the war in China that can kind of reset the board in the state. And I screwed up so badly. In the second round, we could have had war in China, and I was so worried about my own supply line getting carved up. That I ended up doing something that wouldn't allow the war to happen, I should have I should have made the war happen. I wouldn't have controlled it, but those two needed to be knocked off their perch and I kind of screwed it up. ⁓ here's the deal with an infamous traffic. It's a three round game at five player. And when we got to the third round, we knew who the winner was. And this is so, so common in in the iteration of the game that exists. We knew who the winner was. All they had to do was pass to open the game and make sure they went at the highest value. ⁓ to London and could then secure their win, regardless of what was in the London season, basically. I am not teaching anything about this game, so if you don't know what I'm talking about, well, I'm sorry, you're gonna have to go read the rules. just because it it's not worth going through the minutia this, the interesting most interesting thing about getting this back to the table is it confirmed a lot of things. It confirmed that I really dig the systems and the intertwined nature of the game. I really dig the levers it gives you to pull, even though they may not always be apparent and you gotta be really careful with the delicacy of the game. And I'm so excited to see what Cole does with it because it is under testing and revisions right now. In fact, while we were playing, Nav said that he's in the Worly Geek Discord and there was an active playtest going on right then. And that's cool. so I'm excited to see what it ends up being because I think it's a great game. It's just Delicate beyond like you should have on white gloves and tweezers to handle this game with the amount of care that it needs to not crumble into your hands. ⁓ you ever play this? Yeah, we played it here, I think, two years ago. That's right. Yeah. And I remember it having really cool stuff. The same thing. I was like, ⁓ like there's a game there, but it's just it is it's kind of a mess when things start crumbling. It it's a domino effect and it just kind of falls apart. It's not long, so it's not like the pain is is like drawn out or anything like that. But it just it just we looked at each other and said, We're done here. There's there's nothing left any of us can do. Cool. The game over. Good, good game. And that that was fine. I mean, everyone I think enjoyed playing it. It that just is what it is. Okay. How about some superlatives for our weekend? ⁓ funniest game slash moment. I'll go you first. Sure. So if you know me at all, and every time there's a gaming con, I want to try to get a game in of Dark Moon, much to James's chagrin. Yeah. And ⁓ Dark Moon always for me is has the funniest moments of the weekend. And it did not change. This was a great game. The uninfected were moving at a good pace. And I for the first 70% of the game, I had no idea. The infected were playing really good and Just there is the roles when you are trying to do well and you can't get those dice to go in your favor is great. And I know James had the one play, wasn't the best play, but every play since then has been fantastic. I mean, I'll be honest. There was nothing really wrong with that play. It's just a meme now. I I I'm mostly trolling you by saying, ⁓ I'd never play Dark Moon again. And I told you when we were walking back from lunch the other day. I think the the ire I do have for Dark Moon is caused by it sharing a playtime when we played it that day with the aliens in outer space game, which I did hate. Which I did hate. And so it just gets wrapped in for me and it just like it it absorbs some of that hate. ⁓ funniest game moment for me was in Koo Handle Master. We had a few tied bets. So ⁓ so what happens in Kooh Handle again is If you want to do horse trading, right? So I said, ⁓ I want to steal your horse from Pat. And ⁓ so I'm gonna come take your horse. So I give present him an offer. He can either take the offer, sight unseen, face down, or he can present me an offer. And then whoever made the bigger offer gets the horse in question, and we we trade cards anyway. So we trade cards and we both brought exactly 100. However, I I sent a 100 and a zero. Why? I don't know, because you just kind of muck up everyone's understanding of where the zeros are is kind of part of the game. Pat just sent me a single card, a 100. So we look at them and we just kind of look at each other and laugh. But this is a funny moment in the game where you have a chance to sell to the rest of the table that it wasn't a hundred that you guys just traded. And that's exactly what we did. I could feel it unspoken. We kind of sold that we both just sent each other zeros. That was kind of our I could feel a moment between us. So we're just kind of giggling and laughing. But on top of that, we now have to do another trade. So we're prepping our next our next offer to each other and kind of waiting, looking at each other and then ⁓ offering it again. And the question now is like, is that person just gonna give me a zero now and say, screw it? Should I just give them 10? Could I win it with a 10? Right. So we're just kind of giggling, getting this ready. And then like three turns later, there was another tie that just again, the same things. This was in again in the quiet room, and we were just kind of cackling at points of this game. And it it was definitely the the giggle, giggle fest highlight of the weekend to me. So great stuff. ⁓ most epic game slash moment for you, Tim. I I I I gotta go back to the 1830, er 1830. It was a really great game and it I felt the build-up towards the end. It goes it the ending goes kind comes in kind of quick. And when Nav was perfectly positioned to dump this company kingdom on me, it was ⁓ it felt so good and it even though I got screwed, but you know, what do you say, dumpstered, but it it was really, really good. And I was yes, that's Exactly what I wanted out of this game and that moment of when you s see it happening, and you know, not being I was like excited for him to do that because I just want to see, especially on how this game works out that way. Very cool. My ⁓ epic moment of the con was definitely in my 19 player blood on the clock tower game. The finish. The finish was the epic moment. ⁓ first of all, 19 players. And this isn't even like Dome Con. Everyone's not drunk. Like not to say everyone's drunk at Dome Con, but people are just loud. ⁓ my God, these these people wouldn't shut up. Like, I'm trying to quiet this room down just to just to say we're gonna vote. We're gonna vote on so and so. Like, I need everyone to shut up. You have all these accusations flying. There it was hilarious. It was a hilarious game of blood on the clock tower because the good guys had carved out There's like a group of three good guys over here that were genuinely good guys that had carved out kind of their belief that these three over here were definitely evil. They were also all good guys. And these two factions were just yelling at each other the whole time. They're all good guys. And no one believes anyone. But the ending of our game of blood on clock tower comes. Again, the craziest part about running a 19-player game, it took us forever to get down to 10 live players, which is how you usually start a game of blood on the clock tower. So there's like Eight or 10 alive players still. I'm like looking at my watch, like, ⁓ my God, I'm holding these people hostage, right? But thankfully, they finally started to suss out the troublemakers. Our demon Adam was here and they finally got him. They finally nominated him for execution and he got all the votes. They piled up their votes against him, honestly. It was like unbeatable. However, we still had a Scarlet Woman in play. And so Adam was executed, which means the Scarlet Woman immediately. Becomes the demon. So I say, Adam is executed, but the game continues. And the good guys groan. ⁓ we thought it was him, right? And then this kid whose name I can't remember. I'm sorry, kid whose name I can't remember, stands up and he's like, I am the slayer and I am nominated. I'm gonna try to shoot and kill Brandon. The slayer has a once per game ability that they stand up and say, I'm trying to kill the demon, and the demon is that person. And Brandon was the Scarlet Woman who just became the demon. The silver stake hit. I said Brandon. I said the slayer attempts to kill Brandon and the game ends. And eruption. Eruption. Clef was hooting and hollering. He's on the good team. He was dead, but he was on the good team. He's hooting and hollering. Everyone's jumping around the room. It was the moment. It was the moment and it's all it all builds to that. It is worth it and is why Blood on the Clock Tower has become such a game for me in the in the last year. just beauty, beauty. It was so good. ⁓ so that was my epic game moment of the con. My voice was it's still it's still recovering from yelling at those people for three hours that night or whatever we played. ⁓ how about the flop of the con? yeah. This this one was a rough one to think about. And unfortunately, I think this is this is the D Drockin Inso. I mean probably weird. It is weird and and you set it up and I'm looking at it. I'm like, this is like a worse Terra Mystica looking board. And the randomness, obviously, of the cards, I get it. It is not what I want to play. I'm okay never playing it again. But I can see there is fun there, but you are you're hanging on to this roller coaster that you have no control over. Roll control of the biggest problem with the game is the card. Like you can just have a hand of no terrain cards and you you you just lose a turn. Well you're nothing else you can do. And I I it's completely imperfect game that is fun at times. It was a fun play, ⁓ but I I can't disagree with with your takes. my flop of the con, I have to give it to an infamous traffic. And that's really due to the me looking through my playlist and being like, My God, everything I played was terrific. Like Terrific. Nothing even had a chance to be the flop of the con because I didn't have a bad play anywhere. But I only play good games. So what do expect? You know? So if it was traffic, takes that. ⁓ my game of the con is Medina. ⁓ I got to teach two different groups Medina. I think one, two, three, four, five new people Medina, and everyone was a hit rate on it. It from what I could sense at the table. I taught Chad and Richie from Punchboard Paradise. I'm excited to hear if they mention it on the show to hear their honest thoughts about Dome's game of the year. ⁓ I'm hoping after we record this that we're gonna go teach Clef. ⁓ yeah because that was on the hit list for this weekend. And I I'm not going anywhere yet, but we probably can go out on the disc golf course first. At least I am. we built a disc golf course here and I said I wasn't gonna talk about ⁓ okay, I'll save it because I have a disc golf. ⁓ what's your game of the card? ⁓ it's gonna be O Prince. the hype for this new printing and you saying, hey, I want to get this to the table. I was like, yeah, let's do it. And it is just so good. And I I I was like very tempted, tempted to make a copy for myself now that I have all these mad P P skills. But having this and knowing it's coming out soon, I it's building the hype for me big time and I can't wait. Yep. Can't argue with that amazing play. And it felt so I've played a ton online in the last During 2026. So it felt so good to put it on the table. Like I've been dying for an 18XX on the table, and it felt so good. ⁓ disc golf shot of the con. So I told Tim, we're not gonna talk about disc golf. If people want to hear about disc golf, they can listen to two off the top. But disc golf shot of the con. We built a disc golf course on site. Four people brought their practice baskets, which is is a thing in disc golf if you if you don't know what that is. And on day one, Clef was like, you want to go lay out the disc golf course with me? I'm like, absolutely, I want to do that. So me, Clef, and Richie walked the grounds and we laid out a nine-hole disc golf course made with only four baskets, right? So hole one, you throw from over here to basket one. Then hole two is you throw from near there up to basket two. That one throws to basket three. Now you're throwing back to basket one, right? But it works. Like we got it in a layout. We put it on we we all have this app called U Disc. I don't ever talk about disc golf on Dome. ⁓ so we have an official layout, a place you can keep your scores and stuff. And it just made for an amazing weekend because while there are terrific courses here in Omaha, they're a commitment of a drive to leave the con, right? This was literally you're in between games, you want to go play around forty five minutes and you're back inside. It was such a good idea, and I'm so happy we made it happen. And we're We're gonna do it bigger and better next year. And I cannot wait. But this golf shot of the con I put on here, Tim. You got anything? Yeah. So I'm kind of a Debbie Downer. And now I'm well, I while you were setting up for Blood on the Cock Tower, which I was does not in, ⁓ the I was playing the game and we're playing around, and the hole nine is set up on this weird hill, and you guys set this up like it's a total trap. And at the bottom of the hill is this lake that you murky cannot see. And I had ⁓ through my putter. And I had a great shot, set it up right near the basket, but it landed weird and it just rolled forty plus feet right into the water and I I lost it. And you didn't get it back? No, I didn't. ⁓ you got it back. Cause Jake is here who is he's also in Discord. His username is Moses, and he is like the disc retriever of of the Omaha disc golf crew here. He has like waders he'll put on to go in the water. He is the first one I saw with a disc grabber, you know, that we all own now. ⁓ so he's he's always the one to go get it. My disc golf shot of the cottage, I I put number nine because number nine is just sup such an epic hole that we made down that hill with the water in the background. However, like my last six throws on it, I have not hit the gap that I'm trying to hit. So it's frustrating me. And I can't wait to get out there and try one more time. We we said somebody's gonna get an ace this weekend, and it has not happened. So let's give it one more try. Yeah. ⁓ all right. ⁓ and then I have best meal in the cafeteria. So Dome Con gets a lot of talk and flack. There's memes about the the lunch lady, but the cafeteria food is what it is. Camp style cafeteria food. I'd say P P con's cafeteria is ⁓ the same vibe. I I think it's a little more consistent. This year is actually maybe a little a little less than last year, I felt like. I don't know. I don't know. What were your cafeteria vibes? I I liked it a lot. I mean, my best meal, no question, was the baked potato bar. That it's a hundred percent. Baked potato bar took the cake. Who doesn't love a baked potato bar? Get out of here. All the fixins, right? Cheddar cheese, sour cream, chives. They had bacon, crumbled bacon, ham, and pork. I'm like, how how much pork do we need? But I'll take all of them. ⁓ and ⁓ steamed broccoli. It w it was Killer. That was like the highlight for sure. ⁓ you know, I could just do without maybe a little less ⁓ popcorn chicken meals because we had like two different ones. It was just popcorn chicken and stuff or whatever. But it was good. It you know, I always say at Dome Con and anywhere else that you know, going to eat at the cafeteria is more of an obligation. It's like, okay, it's twelve, it's time to go eat something because I'm gonna go game all the rest of the day. So you just go put something in your body. So lastly, the surprise of the con. My surprise of the con, which was kind of wild to me when we started playing it, is going to be Ku Handle Master. Yes. At the beginning of the game, I was like, this is dumb. I do not understand why people like this. I guess I'm not a cockroach poker guy. It's very similar. But once we got towards the end, and I was, and especially when all the cards were out of the deck, like when we flipped, like the last card was at horse, which was great. And then I saw it, and then just the you know, yelling back and forth about the we shouldn't have done that in the quiet room. But it was great. So I I will definitely work on trying to pick up a copy. It is it the biggest swing from beginning a game to end a game for for sure is Kuanamaster. It's good to hear. you know, Kuanamaster has a little bit of Puerto Banana in it with the rising ⁓ the rising financials. Yeah. But at the beginning you're like, I don't know. Well what what do I even even if it's the the first horse, what am I willing to pay for it? It's one horse. Like How much how much could one horse cost? But then by the end, even when it's you know the fourth dog, if it's somebody's fourth dog, they're they're paying $150 for that dog, right? We've all got all our money cards at that point. Yeah, I love that. My surprise of the con is not a game, but a person. Clef. I played nine games with Clef. Clef won six of the nine games. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Clef would classify himself as a guy who doesn't win games very often. He won Nur Peanuts, Razzia, Puerto Banana, and Infamous Traffic, D Drock and Insul, and was absolutely instrumental in the finish of Blood on the Clock Tower, where his character basically was the one who pegged Adam at the end, even though he was dead. It's complicated. I can't wait to hear what he says on his on his epps if he felt like he had a successful, successful con or if he even knows. But I I felt it. I felt like Clef keeps winning. So I went and looked at my BG stats. I'm like, he did keep winning. He just kept winning. So that's my surprise of the con. Clef, great job piling up those wins. any parting thoughts ⁓ that we haven't said about about this amazing event? It's great. It just gets me amped up for Dome Con now. And I'll, you know, that's that's next in a couple months. And so I'm excited. I'll talk more about it on two off the top, but it is. Always so nice to be here in the Midwest with everybody and having this just makes everything everything, you know, melt away that's going bad on the outside of this. And it is a great feeling to just hang out with everybody and have a good time. Yep. This is a crazy con weekend because this weekend, ⁓ shared we had PP Con here. When some choose some is happening in Pittsburgh, BGG S ⁓ Spring. Spring in May. Okay. Is happening in Dallas, ⁓ heavy con is happening in the Northeast. Big con weekend, and I'm sure everybody had a blast at all their cons. This is this is I wouldn't rather be anywhere else than right here. And you know, like I've always said, total Dome Con vibes. If you like Dome Con, you'll like this. If you like this, you'll like Dome Con. If you're anywhere near the Midwest, and ⁓ you know, even if you're not, you know, but if you're near the Midwest, you need to come to this event. It's terrific. It's all enclosed in this one building. Couldn't be easier. Now you can even play disc golf outside. All right, we're gonna wrap it up. Tim, I'll see you in August at Dome Con. Also gonna see Tim in December in LA. Because the Chiefs play at the Rams and Tim has graciously invited me to come stay with him and we're gonna go to that game together. Yep. ⁓ I can't wait to be so awesome. It's gonna be so good. I hope we're both like killing it at the time. ⁓ yeah, that's true. And not like one of us is already a sad December football fan. And we're b we're both like, you know, ten and five or something, and it's a huge game. ⁓ it's on Thursday night football. ⁓ my God, it's gonna be so good. All right. Thanks, Dome, for listening. And ⁓ I'm heading on vacation for a few weeks, so it's gonna be a few weeks till the next episode again. But I'll be back and we'll do our thing. Thanks, Tim, for taking time to talk to me. Cool. Yeah, thanks. All right, we'll see ya. Bye.
