ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Desired Isn’t the Same as Being Chosen
There was a time when I confused being wanted with being loved.
In this essay, I reflect on what it means to stop waiting to be chosen and begin choosing yourself instead. It’s about leaving relationships that only offered potential, unlearning the habit of abandoning yourself for connection, and discovering that peace can become more familiar than uncertainty.
Thank you for listening.
Before you go, you’ll also hear a handwritten blessing from my upcoming collection, Letters to My Nervous System, releasing August 6, 2026.
