ABOUT THIS EPISODE
The Creative Entrepreneur Podcast hit the road for Cre8tive Con OTR (On The Road) Boston, hosted at One Financial Center. Co-hosts Julie Lokun and Dominick Domasky sit down post-event to unpack the blind spots most business owners never see — and the strategists who exposed them live.
Inside this episode:
- Kerry Brett (Rolling Stone, Boston Globe photographer) on optics and how you're perceived before you speak
- John Lee, NYT bestselling author of Money Unlocked, on leveraging AI to scale your brand and business
- Keap (CRM) on automation that still feels human — following up at scale without losing connection
- Neil Rodgers on positive activity and the mindset work behind sustainable growth
- Nick Hutchison of BookThinkers on why "trust is transitive" and how community compounds credibility
- Julie and Dominick's 8 Pillars of Owning Your Ecosystem: website, email list, book/IP, podcast, community, content library, live events, and your own stage
The hosts also share how phone-free "portal" moments (inspired by mentor Sean Finegan) shaped the room, and tease the next stop: Cre8tive Con OTR Orlando, timed around PodFest Expo.
Key Takeaways- You don't own rented land — social platforms can disappear overnight. Build your own ecosystem instead.
- Optics matter before you ever open your mouth.
- AI is a scaling asset, not a replacement for strategy.
- Automation should sound like you, not a robot.
- Trust is transitive — the right relationships open doors faster than cold outreach.
