ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this episode, we’re having a needed conversation on The Corner Connection. As September comes to a close, I couldn’t let Suicide Prevention Month pass without talking about it. Between some podcasts I’ve been listening to and a powerful message at church, this conversation has been on my heart, and I believe it’s one we all need.
So many of us are carrying something quietly. Depression, postpartum, menopause, midlife crisis, divorce, grief, or just the weight of everyday life. I’m getting honest about the fact that we don’t always understand what someone else is going through, and that’s okay. You don’t have to understand to show up. A phone call every morning, weekend plans, or simply saying “I see you, I’m here” can mean more than you’ll ever know. And if you’re the one struggling right now, you are not alone and we need you here. Call or text 988, or chat at 988lifeline.org, anytime.
We’re also looking ahead to October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, because taking care of ourselves means caring for our minds AND our bodies. Do your exams, set your appointments, and remind the people you love to do the same. Tap in to hear the full conversation: https://linktr.ee/cousinedscorner
