ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this episode of The Hidden Story, I sit down with Larry Moreno - former Division I basketball player turned viral trick shot creator - to explore the story beneath the highlights.
Larry opens up about growing up in an environment filled with distractions and negative influences, where it would have been easy to take a very different path. Instead, he made a conscious decision early on: to stay focused, stay disciplined, and pursue something bigger for himself.
We talk about what it actually takes to hold onto your goals when your surroundings don’t support them, and how identity, not just talent, shapes outcomes.
But what makes Larry’s story especially compelling isn’t just where he came from - it’s how he thinks.
From dealing with criticism online to building a massive audience, Larry shares how he’s learned not to take things personally, how he maintains a consistently positive mindset, and how he’s even been able to turn skeptics and “haters” into supporters.
This conversation is about more than basketball or social media. It’s about resilience, perspective, and the quiet decisions that change the trajectory of your life.
