00:01:38.479 --> 00:01:39.840
Lean in close.
00:01:41.359 --> 00:01:42.639
Got a question.
00:01:43.359 --> 00:01:45.280
Welcome to Conversations with the Hoff.
00:01:45.599 --> 00:01:54.000
I'm Steve Hoffman, your host, and with me in the studio today is the executive producer of Liberty Crack Media, Trip Detmering.
00:01:54.239 --> 00:01:55.439
Hello, everybody.
00:01:55.759 --> 00:02:05.280
Today's episode is going to be about election integrity, and more specifically about the organization called South Carolina Safe Elections.
00:02:06.079 --> 00:02:09.360
Our guest today is Larry Hyams.
00:02:09.680 --> 00:02:21.280
He is a 30-year resident in South Carolina, owns a business in the Myrtle Beach area, and is the Ory County team leader for SC Safe Elections.
00:02:21.439 --> 00:02:23.360
Welcome to the show, Larry.
00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:24.719
Hi, Steve.
00:02:24.800 --> 00:02:26.000
Thanks for having me on.
00:02:26.319 --> 00:02:34.479
Yeah, I'd kind of like to start the program by asking you what got you interested in working with South Carolina Safe Elections.
00:02:35.759 --> 00:02:44.079
Well, like a lot of other people, I witnessed a uh federal election being stolen from the American people in 2020.
00:02:44.319 --> 00:02:46.719
And that was uh obviously very upsetting.
00:02:46.879 --> 00:02:52.240
And I've been blessed, I've been given much, and I feel like I need to give back.
00:02:52.319 --> 00:02:57.680
Uh this country needs to be uh taken back by the people, not by large government.
00:02:58.000 --> 00:03:03.839
So I believe the election results do not reflect the uh will of the American people right now.
00:03:04.000 --> 00:03:11.680
The globalist elites created and spread the COVID-19 virus to steal the United States 2020 presidential election.
00:03:11.839 --> 00:03:17.120
They created a situation where they forced mail-in ballots to every state that would take them.
00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:25.759
We went to bed on the evening of 2020 presidential election with President Trump comfortably comfortably in the lead when we woke up.
00:03:26.000 --> 00:03:30.159
Five of the big blue swing states had swung Biden's way.
00:03:30.399 --> 00:03:38.319
The deep state used January 6th to force the certification of an uncertifiable election result.
00:03:38.879 --> 00:03:45.279
Please keep that in mind going forward how important it is that the certification be done correctly.
00:03:45.519 --> 00:03:49.839
Every institution under deep state control went to work with the cover-up.
00:03:50.159 --> 00:03:53.920
The damage was done over the next four years was incalculable.
00:03:54.159 --> 00:03:58.399
I think American Americans should get involved in fixing our elections.
00:03:58.560 --> 00:04:00.560
The most important thing you can do as a U.S.
00:04:00.639 --> 00:04:02.240
citizen, you can have as a U.S.
00:04:02.319 --> 00:04:03.600
citizen is your vote.
00:04:03.759 --> 00:04:07.199
We don't have a country without borders and fair elections.
00:04:07.759 --> 00:04:28.800
Yeah, I noticed during the uh 2020 election there in the Philadelphia, where they had the cameras uh looking at the the elections office, and uh all of a sudden the the monitors, the Republican Party monitors, were kicked out of the office, and then they stood out and they looked through the windows, and the next thing you know, the curtains are drawn.
00:04:28.959 --> 00:04:31.360
So all the counting was done in secrecy.
00:04:31.519 --> 00:04:33.680
Uh there's nothing wrong about that, right?
00:04:35.040 --> 00:04:37.600
And then in the face, isn't it, Steve?
00:04:37.759 --> 00:04:37.920
Right.
00:04:38.000 --> 00:04:48.719
And then in and then Ori and then Fulton County in the Atlanta area, all of a sudden you see all of these briefcases being pulled out from underneath the tables and stuff, and then the curtains close.
00:04:48.879 --> 00:04:50.719
So nothing to see here, Steve.
00:04:50.959 --> 00:04:51.279
Right.
00:04:51.519 --> 00:04:53.680
Don't mind the man behind the curtain there.
00:04:53.839 --> 00:04:57.680
Uh also the same thing happened in Mariposa County, Arizona.
00:04:57.920 --> 00:05:07.199
All kinds of election irregularities, and the Republican candidate even sued Mariposa County because of the numerous irregularities.
00:05:07.439 --> 00:05:11.040
Unfortunately, I don't think anything's been done.
00:05:11.279 --> 00:05:21.360
So, really, that's why I think it's important that we talk about the issues that have been identified by South Carolina safe elections and what's being done about those issues.
00:05:21.600 --> 00:05:27.040
Now, you you have a definite heartache with the uh electronic voting machines.
00:05:27.199 --> 00:05:28.960
Can you talk a little bit about that?
00:05:29.439 --> 00:05:30.000
I do.
00:05:30.160 --> 00:05:33.680
I I know that I've never met a computer that couldn't be hacked.
00:05:33.920 --> 00:05:47.199
And uh if you give bad people the opportunity to do bad things and you've watched it happen year after year after year, I mean, common sense would tell you that they will flip elections in the computers.
00:05:47.360 --> 00:05:48.400
It's been proven.
00:05:48.480 --> 00:06:03.280
Um Cause of America has uh an election evidence uh website where you can go in and look at all of the transcripts from poll workers and different election-related employees that saw the fraud.
00:06:03.439 --> 00:06:12.240
It's all documented, but we have crooked judges and we have crooked media, it's not reported on and it's not followed up on.
00:06:12.400 --> 00:06:14.079
Everything just dies in the dark.
00:06:14.319 --> 00:06:17.600
So that's where the citizens have to come in and shed light on things.
00:06:17.759 --> 00:06:22.560
Get it, get it out in the public so everybody understands what happened, and that's what I'm trying to do.
00:06:23.040 --> 00:06:31.040
And I don't think that the average American citizen really understands the risks associated with those electronic voting machines.
00:06:31.280 --> 00:06:52.240
Uh on your website, uh SC uh Safeelections.org.elections.org, there's a there's a video on there where a lady has a really good uh audio about uh and video about the vulnerabilities and the risks associated with those uh electronic voting machines.
00:06:52.639 --> 00:07:00.240
I I I listened to it and I was amazed at how how how we ever came to actually buy those in the first place.
00:07:00.480 --> 00:07:08.639
They're easily manipulated, easily hacked, and uh somebody can definitely turn the results differently for an election.
00:07:09.680 --> 00:07:15.199
Yes, so the uh election machine companies all are in communication with each other.
00:07:15.360 --> 00:07:17.199
They they all know what they're doing.
00:07:17.360 --> 00:07:31.680
In November of 2019, the state election commission for South Carolina accepted a bid from election systems and software, otherwise known as ESNS, for$52 million.
00:07:32.240 --> 00:07:37.439
We bought a way to rig and steal elections for our beautiful state.
00:07:37.840 --> 00:07:42.400
Yeah, it seems like nobody is following the rules when it comes to election protocol.
00:07:42.800 --> 00:07:50.960
Even you even mentioned the South Carolina State Constitution talks about how elections are supposed to be run and we're not doing it.
00:07:51.120 --> 00:07:52.879
Can you talk about that a little bit?
00:07:53.360 --> 00:07:54.400
I sure can.
00:07:54.960 --> 00:08:03.360
Um Article 2 of the South Carolina Constitution is entitled The Right of Suffrage, and it consists of 11 sections.
00:08:04.079 --> 00:08:12.960
Um it says all elections by the people shall be by secret ballot, but the ballots shall not be counted in secret.
00:08:13.199 --> 00:08:18.079
Again, ballots are to be cast in private and counted in public.
00:08:18.720 --> 00:08:21.040
Our ballots are not counted in public.
00:08:21.199 --> 00:08:25.040
We don't get to see any detailed information about how the votes came in.
00:08:25.199 --> 00:08:33.679
The voting machine companies that the state of South Carolina picked, they withhold the cast vote records from us.
00:08:33.840 --> 00:08:36.639
We FOIA's them and we were rejected.
00:08:36.879 --> 00:08:45.120
All 50 states had their cast vote records requested, and half of the states approved it and half didn't.
00:08:45.279 --> 00:08:53.679
I got a letter from Alan Wilson's office that said, uh, no, we believe this has perfe personal information on it, and we we can't release it.
00:08:53.919 --> 00:08:54.960
That's not true.
00:08:55.679 --> 00:08:58.079
Alan Wilson, that's total BS.
00:08:58.720 --> 00:09:00.159
You heard it from the Hoff.
00:09:01.279 --> 00:09:02.720
We need transparency.
00:09:03.120 --> 00:09:09.120
Yeah, if our uh Constitutional Republic is going to survive, everything has to be transparent.
00:09:09.439 --> 00:09:10.799
That's my own opinion.
00:09:11.919 --> 00:09:13.120
Who runs this government?
00:09:13.279 --> 00:09:14.720
Who runs this state?
00:09:15.199 --> 00:09:15.840
We do.
00:09:16.319 --> 00:09:18.559
Uh progressive Republicans.
00:09:19.919 --> 00:09:21.279
Yeah, you have to wonder.
00:09:21.679 --> 00:09:23.039
Yeah, we're supposed to run the state.
00:09:25.360 --> 00:09:27.840
Old school Democrats that turned Republican.
00:09:28.159 --> 00:09:29.199
Yeah, there there you go.
00:09:29.759 --> 00:09:41.600
So let's start, and I know you you didn't want to focus entirely on this, but let's talk about some of the issues that have been identified by South Carolina safe elections.
00:09:42.080 --> 00:09:48.560
Number one, they talk about the oversized precincts, and that actually violates state law.
00:09:48.879 --> 00:09:50.560
What do you know about that?
00:09:51.680 --> 00:10:04.480
I know that it's a a fact that in the larger population areas they have more than 1,500 uh registered voters at precincts, and it's uh more difficult to manage.
00:10:04.639 --> 00:10:17.039
Uh, I know that in the mid-state right now, during early voting, they've got lines of 50 minutes for some precincts because they have greater than 4,000 voters in that in that precinct.
00:10:17.279 --> 00:10:19.919
So the size needs to be reduced.
00:10:20.480 --> 00:10:25.440
I did a nono on Tuesday where I voted in the early voting.
00:10:25.600 --> 00:10:30.240
And I went there Monday, the first day, and the line was all the way to the street.
00:10:30.320 --> 00:10:32.480
It must have been a couple hours of waiting there.
00:10:32.639 --> 00:10:36.879
So I went the second day and I I waited one hour to vote.
00:10:37.600 --> 00:10:39.039
Still long lines.
00:10:39.519 --> 00:10:52.720
But uh yeah, the it according to your organization, 40% of the precincts in South Carolina exceed the legal limit of 1,500 registered voters.
00:10:53.840 --> 00:10:57.039
Some precincts even have up to 6,000 voters.
00:10:57.680 --> 00:11:08.240
So long lines, delays, and uh logistic nightmare as far as how you do the handling of all the votes and the counting of the votes.
00:11:08.879 --> 00:11:15.919
Yeah, voters get frustrated when they have to wait in line and it discourages them from voting, which reduces turnout.
00:11:16.080 --> 00:11:20.080
And we know that this election turnout is going to be the key thing.
00:11:20.240 --> 00:11:24.960
People that wouldn't normally vote need to be motivated to go vote.
00:11:25.680 --> 00:11:36.560
Yeah, you also mentioned a little bit about the the voting rolls and how the states are supposed to maintain the voting rolls, but it appears that that's not really being done.
00:11:36.879 --> 00:11:52.399
Um So the Department of Justice uh sued the State Election Commission, that would be uh Harme Dillon uh in her organization for the voter rolls and crickets after that.
00:11:52.560 --> 00:11:57.919
They uh ended up winning the suit, so the state election commission did need to hand over the list.
00:11:58.399 --> 00:12:04.560
The DOJ probably has it, um, but we don't know what the results are.
00:12:04.720 --> 00:12:07.680
Again, transparency is the biggest issue.
00:12:07.840 --> 00:12:08.560
What happened?
00:12:08.639 --> 00:12:10.000
The people want to know.
00:12:10.399 --> 00:12:31.600
I know for a fact that we have an inactive and an active list in the voter rolls, and all the computer company has to do is activate the inactive, put them on the voter rolls for a day, pick them out, vote the way you want, and then disappear them again into the inactive voter rolls, and that's something that you probably would never see.
00:12:31.759 --> 00:12:35.039
If everything happens inside of a computer, how can you do this?
00:12:35.200 --> 00:12:40.399
How can you follow up and make sure that our elections are true and fair?
00:12:41.279 --> 00:12:50.240
It seems to me they should be doing an audit of the voting rolls to make sure that everybody on there is a resident, and they're definitely a a member of that precinct.
00:12:50.480 --> 00:12:53.759
Uh and and they're they can they're qualified to vote.
00:12:53.919 --> 00:12:55.680
But I I don't think that's happening.
00:12:56.480 --> 00:13:14.080
Laura Shar and uh SC Safe Elections did a census in 2022 with a lot of volunteers, and they did find uh quite a bit of voters that were on the rolls that were you have to be able to spend the night at the at your residence, is the rule.
00:13:14.240 --> 00:13:17.600
So there were there were small businesses, there were P.O.
00:13:17.840 --> 00:13:24.159
boxes, there were a lot of dead people, there were people that were over the age of 100, 120.
00:13:24.240 --> 00:13:26.320
Uh it's full of junk.
00:13:26.720 --> 00:13:32.639
If they put in a name and have an address, they're able to vote that person, and we're not able to see the list.
00:13:32.720 --> 00:13:33.600
That's a big problem.
00:13:34.240 --> 00:13:43.440
Yeah, she actually toured the state, and I actually heard her talk about that at the South Strand Republican Woman's Club, and it was quite quite eye-opening.
00:13:43.600 --> 00:13:48.960
It's a the fraud was a lot more at a higher scale than I would have ever imagined.
00:13:49.600 --> 00:13:55.200
Now, we we did get uh voter ID for South Carolina, but that's not nationwide.
00:13:55.360 --> 00:14:03.680
I mean you can you can go to the poll in California and say, hi, I'm Mary Tyler Moore, you know, with your little mascara on and all that stuff.
00:14:03.840 --> 00:14:06.080
And they say, okay, here you go, you can vote.
00:14:06.480 --> 00:14:07.200
With no ID.
00:14:07.279 --> 00:14:16.240
You don't need an ID in in uh in California, but you do have to have an ID, a voter, uh regular uh ID in South Carolina.
00:14:16.399 --> 00:14:22.240
How many states now do you think require actual uh identification before you vote?
00:14:22.560 --> 00:14:24.320
Like a valid proof of citizenship.
00:14:24.879 --> 00:14:25.680
At least half.
00:14:26.240 --> 00:14:26.639
You're right.
00:14:26.799 --> 00:14:32.000
South Carolina does require a photo ID, and that's good.
00:14:32.320 --> 00:14:49.200
We're a little bit ahead of the the curve on you know when it comes to the big blue states, uh Illinois, California, Washington state, uh Massachusetts, New York, those all of those states don't require a photo ID or proof of citizenship.
00:14:50.240 --> 00:14:58.560
There's also a concern about what happens to the ballots after they leave the uh the voting area, you know, the precinct.
00:14:58.639 --> 00:15:11.919
Uh something about chain of custody, that we don't really have a good chain of custody process to make sure that uh irregular things don't happen to those ballots on the way to the main counting area.
00:15:12.320 --> 00:15:25.680
So if we had handmarked paper ballots that were not created electronically and recorded and stored electronically, I would care about chain of custody a whole lot more.
00:15:25.919 --> 00:15:38.240
What I know is that the the machines create the ballot and they read a barcode as you put it into the scanner when you're done voting and everything is collected electronically.
00:15:38.399 --> 00:15:42.560
So does it really matter where that ballot card goes?
00:15:42.720 --> 00:15:50.560
It's you know, it's important, I guess, to know, but it's not like a handmarked paper ballot where that is the original source of the information.
00:15:50.799 --> 00:15:57.360
The original source of the information and all the storing capacity is in computers, which we're not allowed to see.
00:15:57.519 --> 00:15:59.120
We don't know the source code.
00:15:59.279 --> 00:16:21.450
We know that the computers are connected to the internet, so they can move information around anytime they want, and nobody will know about it.
00:16:21.850 --> 00:16:31.129
Yeah, that was the issue of um maintaining chain of custody when the information is flowing through the Ethernet, you know.
00:16:31.450 --> 00:16:38.490
Ethernet, you know, how how do you know that the the right information is getting to the end user and that it hasn't been manipulated?
00:16:38.970 --> 00:16:46.570
So um the um also there's an issue with uh early voting, which I did this year.
00:16:46.730 --> 00:16:48.970
I'm an old fart, I'm almost 80 years old.
00:16:49.049 --> 00:16:59.129
I like to go to early voting, but it might be under the the misconsumption that I don't have to wait as long, but I did have to wait long.
00:16:59.450 --> 00:17:02.330
Um I I've always I've always done early voting.
00:17:02.490 --> 00:17:12.570
I used to work, I used to travel for a living, and uh there was always a chance that I wouldn't be able to be in uh South Carolina on the voting day, so I uh I voted early.
00:17:13.049 --> 00:17:18.170
Why does uh South Carolina Safe Elections oppose early voting?
00:17:19.450 --> 00:17:46.009
If you know the number of people that will vote in a precinct, and you're able to determine a ratio in early voting, who's gonna vote for this candidate and who's gonna vote for that candidate, there is an algorithm that you can create that will move or shave votes from the winning candidate to the losing candidate so that you can end up with a 5149 result.
00:17:46.490 --> 00:17:57.370
So bad actors do have the opportunity to gain important information through early voting that can allow them to manipulate the vote totals on election day.
00:17:57.610 --> 00:18:01.049
So, no, don't early vote if if you don't have to.
00:18:01.289 --> 00:18:05.130
If if it if it means you're not gonna vote, by all means early vote.
00:18:05.289 --> 00:18:07.610
Otherwise, do it on election day.
00:18:08.250 --> 00:18:22.410
And there's also an issue with uh the fact that the early voting stations are just like one within a particular uh area that may uh include uh maybe 10, 20 different precincts.
00:18:22.570 --> 00:18:29.130
So you lose the ability to control the voting process by precinct if you have early voting.
00:18:29.610 --> 00:18:31.130
That's a good point, Steve.
00:18:31.290 --> 00:18:39.610
You you know, we we gave away the education of our children by trusting the Department of Education to take care of them.
00:18:39.770 --> 00:18:41.290
Look where that got us.
00:18:41.690 --> 00:18:43.850
Definitely So the same is true here.
00:18:44.010 --> 00:18:55.130
If you give away the management of the most important thing that you have as an American citizen, which is your vote, well, you know, you kind of deserve what you get in that case, don't you?
00:18:56.090 --> 00:18:57.210
Definitely.
00:18:57.610 --> 00:19:19.050
Now, after this election is over with, um when we finally have all of the ballots cast, is the general public going to be able to watch the voting county, uh, the counting of the votes and all that, or are we gonna have uh our different representatives, our political party representatives, able to watch the counting of the of the votes?
00:19:19.770 --> 00:19:30.250
Um no, there they do have a hand count process where they're counting the electronically created cards that read a barcode for the result off the card.
00:19:30.490 --> 00:19:47.290
They're gonna uh do a kabuki theater, a dog and pony show at the county offices that will have the election boards rip pick out randomly a few of the ballot boxes, seven of them, I believe, and they'll hand count those.
00:19:47.370 --> 00:19:48.970
But it's uh yeah.
00:19:49.450 --> 00:19:51.610
So it's more like political theater.
00:19:52.250 --> 00:19:54.330
Just try to pacify the box.
00:19:54.890 --> 00:20:00.330
Yeah, pacify the low intelligent uh voter.
00:20:01.450 --> 00:20:03.370
Um there's a Steve.
00:20:04.570 --> 00:20:10.250
Compare that to counting handmarked paper ballots at the precinct.
00:20:10.570 --> 00:20:26.890
If you keep everything, all of your voters in the precinct, and the people like me and and others that are interested in in fair elections are there to count the ballots by hand because they're handmarked and they're numbered and they're uniquely identifiable.
00:20:27.050 --> 00:20:31.130
You have video cameras recording the entire process.
00:20:31.210 --> 00:20:35.530
You you're yelling out the number of your your vote for which candidate.
00:20:35.610 --> 00:20:41.130
So there's an audio record, there's a video record, everything is full and transparent and right in front of you.
00:20:41.290 --> 00:20:47.450
That's part of the gold standard election, which which we have put out information on.
00:20:47.530 --> 00:20:50.730
There's a manual that shows you exactly how to hand count.
00:20:51.530 --> 00:20:59.050
So, how long should it take for these votes to be counted and uh released to the public?
00:21:00.330 --> 00:21:01.850
You do have to scale it up.
00:21:02.010 --> 00:21:11.450
If you have a precinct that has 4,000 in it, you're gonna need to have probably four four-person teams to count that to get it done in 90 minutes.
00:21:12.730 --> 00:21:19.770
Okay, so uh if you're a Democrat, you usually say, well, voting is a right, and every citizen should be allowed the opportunity to vote.
00:21:19.930 --> 00:21:24.650
And if they can't make it to the polling station, they should be able to vote by mail.
00:21:25.530 --> 00:21:33.690
And have absolutely but yet wasn't that one of the main issues in um 2020?
00:21:33.850 --> 00:21:40.890
There was even a documentary put together by Dinesh Souza called uh what was it, 2,000 Mules or whatever?
00:21:41.130 --> 00:21:42.090
Yeah, that's right.
00:21:42.250 --> 00:21:42.410
Yeah.
00:21:42.730 --> 00:21:58.410
I mean that that definitely contributed to uh our lack of faith in the electoral processor in 2020, when you had thousands and thousands of uh absentee ballots, mail-in ballots show up, and who knows whether or not they were legitimate or not or not.
00:21:58.890 --> 00:22:00.810
Ballot harvesting is already illegal.
00:22:00.890 --> 00:22:05.210
We just don't enforce the laws, and that's the that's the fact on a lot of this stuff.
00:22:05.370 --> 00:22:09.610
We already have laws that talk about it and address it, but we don't enforce it.
00:22:09.850 --> 00:22:14.570
So we're not trying to prevent anybody from being able to go to the polls.
00:22:14.730 --> 00:22:24.890
If you're if you're out early and you can't get around, just do get your mail in ballot in time to be able to turn it in so that it counts for that election.
00:22:25.290 --> 00:22:27.210
Yeah, and they should not be scaffolded for that.
00:22:27.770 --> 00:22:33.690
They should not be counted if they arrive after uh late after the election day.
00:22:34.650 --> 00:22:45.370
And I understand SC Safe Elections does believe there should be absentee voting, but only on rare occasions and tightly controlled.
00:22:46.090 --> 00:22:46.970
So that's good.
00:22:47.290 --> 00:22:49.050
Yeah, you mentioned the gold standard.
00:22:49.130 --> 00:22:56.570
Uh South Carolina ha has a gold standard on how to keep our elections accurate and safe.
00:22:56.890 --> 00:23:18.970
And uh I guess it's built around uh six different principles, and that's one day voting, paper poll books, handmarked hand counted ballots, accounting at the precinct, full public visibility, and strict chain of custody rules.
00:23:20.090 --> 00:23:25.690
I think that would probably fix the majority of the issues that that that uh we've talked about today.
00:23:26.970 --> 00:23:27.850
I think it would too.
00:23:28.010 --> 00:23:33.850
We have uh we have a bill that's sitting on uh Senator Luke Rankin's desk right now.
00:23:33.930 --> 00:23:43.690
It's uh H 3628, it's the SAVE Act, and uh it passed through the House and now it's collecting dust on one of our senators' desks.
00:23:44.250 --> 00:23:46.170
Hey Larry, this is this is trip.
00:23:47.130 --> 00:23:57.130
Um Larry, what do you see is the biggest obstacle to uh having safe and uh fair elections in South Carolina?
00:23:58.410 --> 00:24:02.730
Well, you you first have to identify what the problem is.
00:24:02.810 --> 00:24:07.370
It's not it it is the Democrats, it is the Republicans, right?
00:24:07.450 --> 00:24:13.930
It's really the Uniparty, it's a it's the establishment, the people that are in place right now.
00:24:14.330 --> 00:24:21.290
I'm not saying they I'm not saying they were put in place, they were selected, but you know, it's a it's a question that I'm willing to ask.
00:24:21.370 --> 00:24:30.650
Uh do they have a reason to not want to create fair and safe elections because they earned office uh through illicit means?
00:24:31.050 --> 00:24:31.690
That's a question.
00:24:31.770 --> 00:24:32.090
I don't know.
00:24:32.490 --> 00:24:33.210
I concur with you.
00:24:33.370 --> 00:24:34.970
That is our greatest obstacle.
00:24:35.690 --> 00:24:37.130
We're at the uniporty.
00:24:38.090 --> 00:24:39.050
It is, yeah.
00:24:39.610 --> 00:24:43.450
But uh South Carolina does have two pieces of legislation before it.
00:24:43.690 --> 00:24:44.890
You mentioned one, H.
00:24:45.130 --> 00:24:49.050
3628, the SAVE Act, and another one, H.
00:24:49.290 --> 00:24:54.970
4513, Election Transparency and Accountability Act.
00:24:55.210 --> 00:25:05.930
Now, both of those pieces of legislation have corrective processes for every issue that was identified by SC Safe elections.
00:25:06.490 --> 00:25:07.610
That's the good news.
00:25:08.330 --> 00:25:11.530
So the legislation uh legislature is already working on it.
00:25:11.770 --> 00:25:13.370
You want to know the bad news?
00:25:14.650 --> 00:25:18.730
The bad news they've just been proposed, they haven't been passed.
00:25:19.290 --> 00:25:29.130
So it'll be up to the 2027 legislature to see if they're gonna pass that particular legislation that's direly needed.
00:25:29.530 --> 00:25:39.210
And I'm gonna have um Jordan Pace, the chairman of the South Carolina Legislative Freedom Caucus on my show in about two weeks from now.
00:25:39.450 --> 00:25:42.890
And I'm definitely gonna address this issue with with Jordan Pace.
00:25:43.290 --> 00:25:50.890
And then during the legislative session, I'm gonna have uh the bad Thomas uh the bad bill sheet.
00:25:51.450 --> 00:25:53.050
Thomas uh Jonathan Hill.
00:25:53.930 --> 00:25:55.130
Yeah, Jonathan Hill.
00:25:55.450 --> 00:25:56.170
Our good friend.
00:25:56.650 --> 00:26:02.730
I told you, uh I uh I I'm old and I have a little problem with CRS here.
00:26:03.050 --> 00:26:04.410
But yeah, Jonathan Hill.
00:26:04.890 --> 00:26:07.850
He'll be on my show probably in February.
00:26:08.010 --> 00:26:12.250
And again, we're gonna talk about this this legislation to see what the status of it is.
00:26:12.490 --> 00:26:16.170
Because I don't trust our legislatures in South Carolina.
00:26:16.330 --> 00:26:18.090
Do they represent we the people?
00:26:18.410 --> 00:26:18.730
No.
00:26:18.970 --> 00:26:22.810
They represent special interest groups and their own cronies.
00:26:22.970 --> 00:26:25.690
So we're definitely gonna keep some pressure on them.
00:26:26.890 --> 00:26:30.970
Steve, do you keep track of the Freedom Index voting scorecards?
00:26:31.450 --> 00:26:32.330
We certainly do.
00:26:32.570 --> 00:26:38.730
And you live in Ory County, so you know what the Freedom Index score is for all of your elected representatives.
00:26:38.890 --> 00:26:40.570
You want to tell us about that?
00:26:41.610 --> 00:26:55.370
Well, it's a way to track whether your legislators are passing laws that increase the size of your government, increase the spending, um, increase regulation, uh, cost you more money.
00:26:55.530 --> 00:27:00.250
They can actually put a dollar amount for each voter for some of the bills that they're passing.
00:27:00.410 --> 00:27:06.170
So a uh score of 100 on the Freedom Index means that you represent the people.
00:27:06.250 --> 00:27:11.290
You're keeping the costs low, you're reducing government regulation and government size.
00:27:11.450 --> 00:27:16.570
Uh Rob Harris is a great example of a representative that truly represents the people.
00:27:16.970 --> 00:27:18.890
And what what county is he from?
00:27:19.450 --> 00:27:21.930
He's in he's in Greenville, maybe Spartanburg.
00:27:22.090 --> 00:27:23.130
He's up in the upstate.
00:27:23.370 --> 00:27:23.610
Okay.
00:27:23.930 --> 00:27:24.650
To the right.
00:27:25.210 --> 00:27:34.010
But then again, in Oray County, every one of our elected representatives in in Columbia, South Carolina, has been graded F.
00:27:35.450 --> 00:27:38.410
They're in the uh the Freedom Index.
00:27:38.970 --> 00:27:39.530
Everyone.
00:27:39.690 --> 00:27:40.090
Yep.
00:27:40.330 --> 00:27:40.970
So they've got a.
00:27:41.370 --> 00:27:45.690
My guy is Case Britton, and his his score is uh 25, you know?
00:27:46.170 --> 00:27:46.410
Yeah.
00:27:46.570 --> 00:27:51.930
Do you remember who you voted for uh when Case was running for his uh his position?
00:27:53.370 --> 00:27:56.650
Well, he was the only Republican on the ticket, so it would have been him.
00:27:56.970 --> 00:27:57.450
Uh-huh.
00:27:57.770 --> 00:27:59.770
I I was the uh libertarian.
00:28:00.890 --> 00:28:01.530
Is that right?
00:28:02.010 --> 00:28:02.650
That's correct.
00:28:02.810 --> 00:28:03.450
Yeah.
00:28:04.970 --> 00:28:31.690
Yes, so uh South Carolina definitely has a a problem when it comes to uh limited government, individual and economic freedom, and that the Republicans when they come to talk about they come to the local neighborhoods and they talk about how great they are, how conservative they are, and they're there and they're gonna push for small government, and then they go back to to Colombia and just do just the opposite.
00:28:32.090 --> 00:28:47.050
Hey Larry, I uh one of the things I saw that was kind of missing in this this uh free and safe elections is uh I would like to see us get rid of straight party ticket voting.
00:28:47.290 --> 00:28:49.370
Uh what are your thoughts on that?
00:28:50.570 --> 00:28:51.210
I agree.
00:28:51.290 --> 00:28:52.810
Let's close the primaries.
00:28:52.890 --> 00:28:58.490
Uh you know, cross-party voting it shouldn't be allowed, and it doesn't even make sense.
00:28:58.730 --> 00:28:58.890
Yeah.
00:28:59.690 --> 00:29:16.730
Because uh a lot of that was I I had voters uh in that uh Britain election that wanted to vote for me, forgot, hit the red button, and then were told by the the poll workers that they couldn't reverse it, which is not uh true, but yeah.
00:29:17.210 --> 00:29:18.650
It's not, you're right.
00:29:19.850 --> 00:29:33.530
So d South Carolina definitely needs closed primaries, and it's been defeated every time it's been presented, and especially by the Republican Party, which makes you wonder why they would be against closed primaries?
00:29:34.650 --> 00:29:35.530
We I think we're not gonna be able to do that.
00:29:38.410 --> 00:29:39.130
Definitely.
00:29:40.090 --> 00:29:40.650
Well, Mr.
00:29:40.730 --> 00:29:43.850
Himes, thanks for being a guest on Conversations with the Hoff.
00:29:44.250 --> 00:29:54.490
The work being done by Larry Himes, Laura Shahr, and her crew at South Carolina Safe Elections is crucial to the survival of our Constitution Republic.
00:29:54.890 --> 00:29:56.330
Yes, I said that.
00:29:56.970 --> 00:30:08.010
When corruption or inaccuracies become systemic in the election process, citizens lose faith that elections don't really reflect their choices.
00:30:08.810 --> 00:30:13.930
Uh voter turnout drops sharply because people see voting as countless.
00:30:14.170 --> 00:30:16.970
I've heard all kinds of people say, why should I vote?
00:30:17.130 --> 00:30:18.650
It doesn't it it doesn't help.
00:30:19.210 --> 00:30:28.570
And uh if you look at the number of independents today, they far outnumber the number of registered Democrats and Republicans.
00:30:29.290 --> 00:30:34.010
Public trust and government collapses, creating a vacuum of authority.
00:30:34.730 --> 00:30:43.210
And this is a fundamental failure, and our republic cannot function if people believe that the election process is rigged.
00:30:44.250 --> 00:30:46.890
It's time for the state legislature and the U.S.
00:30:47.050 --> 00:30:53.450
Congress to take the necessary actions to restore citizens' faith in the electoral process.
00:30:53.930 --> 00:31:02.730
So thanks for listening today, and now a word from our glorious leader, the executive producer of Liberty Crack Media, Trip Detmering.
00:31:02.970 --> 00:31:06.650
I want to thank uh Larry Hines for being on with us today.
00:31:06.890 --> 00:31:14.490
Check out our show notes to connect to South uh SC Safeelections.org and check them out.

Got a question.
00:01:43.359 --> 00:01:45.280
Welcome to Conversations with the Hoff.
00:01:45.599 --> 00:01:54.000
I'm Steve Hoffman, your host, and with me in the studio today is the executive producer of Liberty Crack Media, Trip Detmering.
00:01:54.239 --> 00:01:55.439
Hello, everybody.
00:01:55.759 --> 00:02:05.280
Today's episode is going to be about election integrity, and more specifically about the organization called South Carolina Safe Elections.
00:02:06.079 --> 00:02:09.360
Our guest today is Larry Hyams.
00:02:09.680 --> 00:02:21.280
He is a 30-year resident in South Carolina, owns a business in the Myrtle Beach area, and is the Ory County team leader for SC Safe Elections.
00:02:21.439 --> 00:02:23.360
Welcome to the show, Larry.
00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:24.719
Hi, Steve.
00:02:24.800 --> 00:02:26.000
Thanks for having me on.
00:02:26.319 --> 00:02:34.479
Yeah, I'd kind of like to start the program by asking you what got you interested in working with South Carolina Safe Elections.
00:02:35.759 --> 00:02:44.079
Well, like a lot of other people, I witnessed a uh federal election being stolen from the American people in 2020.
00:02:44.319 --> 00:02:46.719
And that was uh obviously very upsetting.
00:02:46.879 --> 00:02:52.240
And I've been blessed, I've been given much, and I feel like I need to give back.
00:02:52.319 --> 00:02:57.680
Uh this country needs to be uh taken back by the people, not by large government.
00:02:58.000 --> 00:03:03.839
So I believe the election results do not reflect the uh will of the American people right now.
00:03:04.000 --> 00:03:11.680
The globalist elites created and spread the COVID-19 virus to steal the United States 2020 presidential election.
00:03:11.839 --> 00:03:17.120
They created a situation where they forced mail-in ballots to every state that would take them.
00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:25.759
We went to bed on the evening of 2020 presidential election with President Trump comfortably comfortably in the lead when we woke up.
00:03:26.000 --> 00:03:30.159
Five of the big blue swing states had swung Biden's way.
00:03:30.399 --> 00:03:38.319
The deep state used January 6th to force the certification of an uncertifiable election result.
00:03:38.879 --> 00:03:45.279
Please keep that in mind going forward how important it is that the certification be done correctly.
00:03:45.519 --> 00:03:49.839
Every institution under deep state control went to work with the cover-up.
00:03:50.159 --> 00:03:53.920
The damage was done over the next four years was incalculable.
00:03:54.159 --> 00:03:58.399
I think American Americans should get involved in fixing our elections.
00:03:58.560 --> 00:04:00.560
The most important thing you can do as a U.S.
00:04:00.639 --> 00:04:02.240
citizen, you can have as a U.S.
00:04:02.319 --> 00:04:03.600
citizen is your vote.
00:04:03.759 --> 00:04:07.199
We don't have a country without borders and fair elections.
00:04:07.759 --> 00:04:28.800
00:04:28.959 --> 00:04:31.360
So all the counting was done in secrecy.
00:04:31.519 --> 00:04:33.680
Uh there's nothing wrong about that, right?
00:04:35.040 --> 00:04:37.600
And then in the face, isn't it, Steve?
00:04:37.759 --> 00:04:37.920
Right.
00:04:38.000 --> 00:04:48.719
And then in and then Ori and then Fulton County in the Atlanta area, all of a sudden you see all of these briefcases being pulled out from underneath the tables and stuff, and then the curtains close.
00:04:48.879 --> 00:04:50.719
So nothing to see here, Steve.
00:04:50.959 --> 00:04:51.279
Right.
00:04:51.519 --> 00:04:53.680
Don't mind the man behind the curtain there.
00:04:53.839 --> 00:04:57.680
Uh also the same thing happened in Mariposa County, Arizona.
00:04:57.920 --> 00:05:07.199
All kinds of election irregularities, and the Republican candidate even sued Mariposa County because of the numerous irregularities.
00:05:07.439 --> 00:05:11.040
Unfortunately, I don't think anything's been done.
00:05:11.279 --> 00:05:21.360
So, really, that's why I think it's important that we talk about the issues that have been identified by South Carolina safe elections and what's being done about those issues.
00:05:21.600 --> 00:05:27.040
Now, you you have a definite heartache with the uh electronic voting machines.
00:05:27.199 --> 00:05:28.960
Can you talk a little bit about that?
00:05:29.439 --> 00:05:30.000
I do.
00:05:30.160 --> 00:05:33.680
I I know that I've never met a computer that couldn't be hacked.
00:05:33.920 --> 00:05:47.199
And uh if you give bad people the opportunity to do bad things and you've watched it happen year after year after year, I mean, common sense would tell you that they will flip elections in the computers.
00:05:47.360 --> 00:05:48.400
It's been proven.
00:05:48.480 --> 00:06:03.280
Um Cause of America has uh an election evidence uh website where you can go in and look at all of the transcripts from poll workers and different election-related employees that saw the fraud.
00:06:03.439 --> 00:06:12.240
It's all documented, but we have crooked judges and we have crooked media, it's not reported on and it's not followed up on.
00:06:12.400 --> 00:06:14.079
Everything just dies in the dark.
00:06:14.319 --> 00:06:17.600
So that's where the citizens have to come in and shed light on things.
00:06:17.759 --> 00:06:22.560
Get it, get it out in the public so everybody understands what happened, and that's what I'm trying to do.
00:06:23.040 --> 00:06:31.040
And I don't think that the average American citizen really understands the risks associated with those electronic voting machines.
00:06:31.280 --> 00:06:52.240
Uh on your website, uh SC uh Safeelections.org.elections.org, there's a there's a video on there where a lady has a really good uh audio about uh and video about the vulnerabilities and the risks associated with those uh electronic voting machines.
00:06:52.639 --> 00:07:00.240
I I I listened to it and I was amazed at how how how we ever came to actually buy those in the first place.
00:07:00.480 --> 00:07:08.639
They're easily manipulated, easily hacked, and uh somebody can definitely turn the results differently for an election.
00:07:09.680 --> 00:07:15.199
Yes, so the uh election machine companies all are in communication with each other.
00:07:15.360 --> 00:07:17.199
They they all know what they're doing.
00:07:17.360 --> 00:07:31.680
In November of 2019, the state election commission for South Carolina accepted a bid from election systems and software, otherwise known as ESNS, for$52 million.
00:07:32.240 --> 00:07:37.439
We bought a way to rig and steal elections for our beautiful state.
00:07:37.840 --> 00:07:42.400
Yeah, it seems like nobody is following the rules when it comes to election protocol.
00:07:42.800 --> 00:07:50.960
Even you even mentioned the South Carolina State Constitution talks about how elections are supposed to be run and we're not doing it.
00:07:51.120 --> 00:07:52.879
Can you talk about that a little bit?
00:07:53.360 --> 00:07:54.400
I sure can.
00:07:54.960 --> 00:08:03.360
Um Article 2 of the South Carolina Constitution is entitled The Right of Suffrage, and it consists of 11 sections.
00:08:04.079 --> 00:08:12.960
Um it says all elections by the people shall be by secret ballot, but the ballots shall not be counted in secret.
00:08:13.199 --> 00:08:18.079
Again, ballots are to be cast in private and counted in public.
00:08:18.720 --> 00:08:21.040
Our ballots are not counted in public.
00:08:21.199 --> 00:08:25.040
We don't get to see any detailed information about how the votes came in.
00:08:25.199 --> 00:08:33.679
The voting machine companies that the state of South Carolina picked, they withhold the cast vote records from us.
00:08:33.840 --> 00:08:36.639
We FOIA's them and we were rejected.
00:08:36.879 --> 00:08:45.120
All 50 states had their cast vote records requested, and half of the states approved it and half didn't.
00:08:45.279 --> 00:08:53.679
I got a letter from Alan Wilson's office that said, uh, no, we believe this has perfe personal information on it, and we we can't release it.
00:08:53.919 --> 00:08:54.960
That's not true.
00:08:55.679 --> 00:08:58.079
Alan Wilson, that's total BS.
00:08:58.720 --> 00:09:00.159
You heard it from the Hoff.
00:09:01.279 --> 00:09:02.720
We need transparency.
00:09:03.120 --> 00:09:09.120
Yeah, if our uh Constitutional Republic is going to survive, everything has to be transparent.
00:09:09.439 --> 00:09:10.799
That's my own opinion.
00:09:11.919 --> 00:09:13.120
Who runs this government?
00:09:13.279 --> 00:09:14.720
Who runs this state?
00:09:15.199 --> 00:09:15.840
We do.
00:09:16.319 --> 00:09:18.559
Uh progressive Republicans.
00:09:19.919 --> 00:09:21.279
Yeah, you have to wonder.
00:09:21.679 --> 00:09:23.039
Yeah, we're supposed to run the state.
00:09:25.360 --> 00:09:27.840
Old school Democrats that turned Republican.
00:09:28.159 --> 00:09:29.199
Yeah, there there you go.
00:09:29.759 --> 00:09:41.600
So let's start, and I know you you didn't want to focus entirely on this, but let's talk about some of the issues that have been identified by South Carolina safe elections.
00:09:42.080 --> 00:09:48.560
Number one, they talk about the oversized precincts, and that actually violates state law.
00:09:48.879 --> 00:09:50.560
What do you know about that?
00:09:51.680 --> 00:10:04.480
I know that it's a a fact that in the larger population areas they have more than 1,500 uh registered voters at precincts, and it's uh more difficult to manage.
00:10:04.639 --> 00:10:17.039
Uh, I know that in the mid-state right now, during early voting, they've got lines of 50 minutes for some precincts because they have greater than 4,000 voters in that in that precinct.
00:10:17.279 --> 00:10:19.919
So the size needs to be reduced.
00:10:20.480 --> 00:10:25.440
I did a nono on Tuesday where I voted in the early voting.
00:10:25.600 --> 00:10:30.240
And I went there Monday, the first day, and the line was all the way to the street.
00:10:30.320 --> 00:10:32.480
It must have been a couple hours of waiting there.
00:10:32.639 --> 00:10:36.879
So I went the second day and I I waited one hour to vote.
00:10:37.600 --> 00:10:39.039
Still long lines.
00:10:39.519 --> 00:10:52.720
But uh yeah, the it according to your organization, 40% of the precincts in South Carolina exceed the legal limit of 1,500 registered voters.
00:10:53.840 --> 00:10:57.039
Some precincts even have up to 6,000 voters.
00:10:57.680 --> 00:11:08.240
So long lines, delays, and uh logistic nightmare as far as how you do the handling of all the votes and the counting of the votes.
00:11:08.879 --> 00:11:15.919
Yeah, voters get frustrated when they have to wait in line and it discourages them from voting, which reduces turnout.
00:11:16.080 --> 00:11:20.080
And we know that this election turnout is going to be the key thing.
00:11:20.240 --> 00:11:24.960
People that wouldn't normally vote need to be motivated to go vote.
00:11:25.680 --> 00:11:36.560
Yeah, you also mentioned a little bit about the the voting rolls and how the states are supposed to maintain the voting rolls, but it appears that that's not really being done.
00:11:36.879 --> 00:11:52.399
Um So the Department of Justice uh sued the State Election Commission, that would be uh Harme Dillon uh in her organization for the voter rolls and crickets after that.
00:11:52.560 --> 00:11:57.919
They uh ended up winning the suit, so the state election commission did need to hand over the list.
00:11:58.399 --> 00:12:04.560
The DOJ probably has it, um, but we don't know what the results are.
00:12:04.720 --> 00:12:07.680
Again, transparency is the biggest issue.
00:12:07.840 --> 00:12:08.560
What happened?
00:12:08.639 --> 00:12:10.000
The people want to know.
00:12:10.399 --> 00:12:31.600
I know for a fact that we have an inactive and an active list in the voter rolls, and all the computer company has to do is activate the inactive, put them on the voter rolls for a day, pick them out, vote the way you want, and then disappear them again into the inactive voter rolls, and that's something that you probably would never see.
00:12:31.759 --> 00:12:35.039
If everything happens inside of a computer, how can you do this?
00:12:35.200 --> 00:12:40.399
How can you follow up and make sure that our elections are true and fair?
00:12:41.279 --> 00:12:50.240
It seems to me they should be doing an audit of the voting rolls to make sure that everybody on there is a resident, and they're definitely a a member of that precinct.
00:12:50.480 --> 00:12:53.759
Uh and and they're they can they're qualified to vote.
00:12:53.919 --> 00:12:55.680
But I I don't think that's happening.
00:12:56.480 --> 00:13:14.080
Laura Shar and uh SC Safe Elections did a census in 2022 with a lot of volunteers, and they did find uh quite a bit of voters that were on the rolls that were you have to be able to spend the night at the at your residence, is the rule.
00:13:14.240 --> 00:13:17.600
So there were there were small businesses, there were P.O.
00:13:17.840 --> 00:13:24.159
boxes, there were a lot of dead people, there were people that were over the age of 100, 120.
00:13:24.240 --> 00:13:26.320
Uh it's full of junk.
00:13:26.720 --> 00:13:32.639
If they put in a name and have an address, they're able to vote that person, and we're not able to see the list.
00:13:32.720 --> 00:13:33.600
That's a big problem.
00:13:34.240 --> 00:13:43.440
Yeah, she actually toured the state, and I actually heard her talk about that at the South Strand Republican Woman's Club, and it was quite quite eye-opening.
00:13:43.600 --> 00:13:48.960
It's a the fraud was a lot more at a higher scale than I would have ever imagined.
00:13:49.600 --> 00:13:55.200
Now, we we did get uh voter ID for South Carolina, but that's not nationwide.
00:13:55.360 --> 00:14:03.680
I mean you can you can go to the poll in California and say, hi, I'm Mary Tyler Moore, you know, with your little mascara on and all that stuff.
00:14:03.840 --> 00:14:06.080
And they say, okay, here you go, you can vote.
00:14:06.480 --> 00:14:07.200
With no ID.
00:14:07.279 --> 00:14:16.240
You don't need an ID in in uh in California, but you do have to have an ID, a voter, uh regular uh ID in South Carolina.
00:14:16.399 --> 00:14:22.240
How many states now do you think require actual uh identification before you vote?
00:14:22.560 --> 00:14:24.320
Like a valid proof of citizenship.
00:14:24.879 --> 00:14:25.680
At least half.
00:14:26.240 --> 00:14:26.639
You're right.
00:14:26.799 --> 00:14:32.000
South Carolina does require a photo ID, and that's good.
00:14:32.320 --> 00:14:49.200
We're a little bit ahead of the the curve on you know when it comes to the big blue states, uh Illinois, California, Washington state, uh Massachusetts, New York, those all of those states don't require a photo ID or proof of citizenship.
00:14:50.240 --> 00:14:58.560
There's also a concern about what happens to the ballots after they leave the uh the voting area, you know, the precinct.
00:14:58.639 --> 00:15:11.919
Uh something about chain of custody, that we don't really have a good chain of custody process to make sure that uh irregular things don't happen to those ballots on the way to the main counting area.
00:15:12.320 --> 00:15:25.680
So if we had handmarked paper ballots that were not created electronically and recorded and stored electronically, I would care about chain of custody a whole lot more.
00:15:25.919 --> 00:15:38.240
What I know is that the the machines create the ballot and they read a barcode as you put it into the scanner when you're done voting and everything is collected electronically.
00:15:38.399 --> 00:15:42.560
So does it really matter where that ballot card goes?
00:15:42.720 --> 00:15:50.560
It's you know, it's important, I guess, to know, but it's not like a handmarked paper ballot where that is the original source of the information.
00:15:50.799 --> 00:15:57.360
The original source of the information and all the storing capacity is in computers, which we're not allowed to see.
00:15:57.519 --> 00:15:59.120
We don't know the source code.
00:15:59.279 --> 00:16:21.450
We know that the computers are connected to the internet, so they can move information around anytime they want, and nobody will know about it.
00:16:21.850 --> 00:16:31.129
Yeah, that was the issue of um maintaining chain of custody when the information is flowing through the Ethernet, you know.
00:16:31.450 --> 00:16:38.490
Ethernet, you know, how how do you know that the the right information is getting to the end user and that it hasn't been manipulated?
00:16:38.970 --> 00:16:46.570
So um the um also there's an issue with uh early voting, which I did this year.
00:16:46.730 --> 00:16:48.970
I'm an old fart, I'm almost 80 years old.
00:16:49.049 --> 00:16:59.129
I like to go to early voting, but it might be under the the misconsumption that I don't have to wait as long, but I did have to wait long.
00:16:59.450 --> 00:17:02.330
Um I I've always I've always done early voting.
00:17:02.490 --> 00:17:12.570
I used to work, I used to travel for a living, and uh there was always a chance that I wouldn't be able to be in uh South Carolina on the voting day, so I uh I voted early.
00:17:13.049 --> 00:17:18.170
Why does uh South Carolina Safe Elections oppose early voting?
00:17:19.450 --> 00:17:46.009
00:17:46.490 --> 00:17:57.370
So bad actors do have the opportunity to gain important information through early voting that can allow them to manipulate the vote totals on election day.
00:17:57.610 --> 00:18:01.049
So, no, don't early vote if if you don't have to.
00:18:01.289 --> 00:18:05.130
If if it if it means you're not gonna vote, by all means early vote.
00:18:05.289 --> 00:18:07.610
Otherwise, do it on election day.
00:18:08.250 --> 00:18:22.410
And there's also an issue with uh the fact that the early voting stations are just like one within a particular uh area that may uh include uh maybe 10, 20 different precincts.
00:18:22.570 --> 00:18:29.130
So you lose the ability to control the voting process by precinct if you have early voting.
00:18:29.610 --> 00:18:31.130
That's a good point, Steve.
00:18:31.290 --> 00:18:39.610
You you know, we we gave away the education of our children by trusting the Department of Education to take care of them.
00:18:39.770 --> 00:18:41.290
Look where that got us.
00:18:41.690 --> 00:18:43.850
Definitely So the same is true here.
00:18:44.010 --> 00:18:55.130
If you give away the management of the most important thing that you have as an American citizen, which is your vote, well, you know, you kind of deserve what you get in that case, don't you?
00:18:56.090 --> 00:18:57.210
Definitely.
00:18:57.610 --> 00:19:19.050
Now, after this election is over with, um when we finally have all of the ballots cast, is the general public going to be able to watch the voting county, uh, the counting of the votes and all that, or are we gonna have uh our different representatives, our political party representatives, able to watch the counting of the of the votes?
00:19:19.770 --> 00:19:30.250
Um no, there they do have a hand count process where they're counting the electronically created cards that read a barcode for the result off the card.
00:19:30.490 --> 00:19:47.290
They're gonna uh do a kabuki theater, a dog and pony show at the county offices that will have the election boards rip pick out randomly a few of the ballot boxes, seven of them, I believe, and they'll hand count those.
00:19:47.370 --> 00:19:48.970
But it's uh yeah.
00:19:49.450 --> 00:19:51.610
So it's more like political theater.
00:19:52.250 --> 00:19:54.330
Just try to pacify the box.
00:19:54.890 --> 00:20:00.330
Yeah, pacify the low intelligent uh voter.
00:20:01.450 --> 00:20:03.370
Um there's a Steve.
00:20:04.570 --> 00:20:10.250
Compare that to counting handmarked paper ballots at the precinct.
00:20:10.570 --> 00:20:26.890
If you keep everything, all of your voters in the precinct, and the people like me and and others that are interested in in fair elections are there to count the ballots by hand because they're handmarked and they're numbered and they're uniquely identifiable.
00:20:27.050 --> 00:20:31.130
You have video cameras recording the entire process.
00:20:31.210 --> 00:20:35.530
You you're yelling out the number of your your vote for which candidate.
00:20:35.610 --> 00:20:41.130
So there's an audio record, there's a video record, everything is full and transparent and right in front of you.
00:20:41.290 --> 00:20:47.450
That's part of the gold standard election, which which we have put out information on.
00:20:47.530 --> 00:20:50.730
There's a manual that shows you exactly how to hand count.
00:20:51.530 --> 00:20:59.050
So, how long should it take for these votes to be counted and uh released to the public?
00:21:00.330 --> 00:21:01.850
You do have to scale it up.
00:21:02.010 --> 00:21:11.450
If you have a precinct that has 4,000 in it, you're gonna need to have probably four four-person teams to count that to get it done in 90 minutes.
00:21:12.730 --> 00:21:19.770
Okay, so uh if you're a Democrat, you usually say, well, voting is a right, and every citizen should be allowed the opportunity to vote.
00:21:19.930 --> 00:21:24.650
And if they can't make it to the polling station, they should be able to vote by mail.
00:21:25.530 --> 00:21:33.690
And have absolutely but yet wasn't that one of the main issues in um 2020?
00:21:33.850 --> 00:21:40.890
There was even a documentary put together by Dinesh Souza called uh what was it, 2,000 Mules or whatever?
00:21:41.130 --> 00:21:42.090
Yeah, that's right.
00:21:42.250 --> 00:21:42.410
Yeah.
00:21:42.730 --> 00:21:58.410
I mean that that definitely contributed to uh our lack of faith in the electoral processor in 2020, when you had thousands and thousands of uh absentee ballots, mail-in ballots show up, and who knows whether or not they were legitimate or not or not.
00:21:58.890 --> 00:22:00.810
Ballot harvesting is already illegal.
00:22:00.890 --> 00:22:05.210
We just don't enforce the laws, and that's the that's the fact on a lot of this stuff.
00:22:05.370 --> 00:22:09.610
We already have laws that talk about it and address it, but we don't enforce it.
00:22:09.850 --> 00:22:14.570
So we're not trying to prevent anybody from being able to go to the polls.
00:22:14.730 --> 00:22:24.890
If you're if you're out early and you can't get around, just do get your mail in ballot in time to be able to turn it in so that it counts for that election.
00:22:25.290 --> 00:22:27.210
Yeah, and they should not be scaffolded for that.
00:22:27.770 --> 00:22:33.690
They should not be counted if they arrive after uh late after the election day.
00:22:34.650 --> 00:22:45.370
And I understand SC Safe Elections does believe there should be absentee voting, but only on rare occasions and tightly controlled.
00:22:46.090 --> 00:22:46.970
So that's good.
00:22:47.290 --> 00:22:49.050
Yeah, you mentioned the gold standard.
00:22:49.130 --> 00:22:56.570
Uh South Carolina ha has a gold standard on how to keep our elections accurate and safe.
00:22:56.890 --> 00:23:18.970
And uh I guess it's built around uh six different principles, and that's one day voting, paper poll books, handmarked hand counted ballots, accounting at the precinct, full public visibility, and strict chain of custody rules.
00:23:20.090 --> 00:23:25.690
I think that would probably fix the majority of the issues that that that uh we've talked about today.
00:23:26.970 --> 00:23:27.850
I think it would too.
00:23:28.010 --> 00:23:33.850
We have uh we have a bill that's sitting on uh Senator Luke Rankin's desk right now.
00:23:33.930 --> 00:23:43.690
It's uh H 3628, it's the SAVE Act, and uh it passed through the House and now it's collecting dust on one of our senators' desks.
00:23:44.250 --> 00:23:46.170
Hey Larry, this is this is trip.
00:23:47.130 --> 00:23:57.130
Um Larry, what do you see is the biggest obstacle to uh having safe and uh fair elections in South Carolina?
00:23:58.410 --> 00:24:02.730
Well, you you first have to identify what the problem is.
00:24:02.810 --> 00:24:07.370
It's not it it is the Democrats, it is the Republicans, right?
00:24:07.450 --> 00:24:13.930
It's really the Uniparty, it's a it's the establishment, the people that are in place right now.
00:24:14.330 --> 00:24:21.290
I'm not saying they I'm not saying they were put in place, they were selected, but you know, it's a it's a question that I'm willing to ask.
00:24:21.370 --> 00:24:30.650
Uh do they have a reason to not want to create fair and safe elections because they earned office uh through illicit means?
00:24:31.050 --> 00:24:31.690
That's a question.
00:24:31.770 --> 00:24:32.090
I don't know.
00:24:32.490 --> 00:24:33.210
I concur with you.
00:24:33.370 --> 00:24:34.970
That is our greatest obstacle.
00:24:35.690 --> 00:24:37.130
We're at the uniporty.
00:24:38.090 --> 00:24:39.050
It is, yeah.
00:24:39.610 --> 00:24:43.450
But uh South Carolina does have two pieces of legislation before it.
00:24:43.690 --> 00:24:44.890
You mentioned one, H.
00:24:45.130 --> 00:24:49.050
3628, the SAVE Act, and another one, H.
00:24:49.290 --> 00:24:54.970
4513, Election Transparency and Accountability Act.
00:24:55.210 --> 00:25:05.930
Now, both of those pieces of legislation have corrective processes for every issue that was identified by SC Safe elections.
00:25:06.490 --> 00:25:07.610
That's the good news.
00:25:08.330 --> 00:25:11.530
So the legislation uh legislature is already working on it.
00:25:11.770 --> 00:25:13.370
You want to know the bad news?
00:25:14.650 --> 00:25:18.730
The bad news they've just been proposed, they haven't been passed.
00:25:19.290 --> 00:25:29.130
So it'll be up to the 2027 legislature to see if they're gonna pass that particular legislation that's direly needed.
00:25:29.530 --> 00:25:39.210
And I'm gonna have um Jordan Pace, the chairman of the South Carolina Legislative Freedom Caucus on my show in about two weeks from now.
00:25:39.450 --> 00:25:42.890
And I'm definitely gonna address this issue with with Jordan Pace.
00:25:43.290 --> 00:25:50.890
And then during the legislative session, I'm gonna have uh the bad Thomas uh the bad bill sheet.
00:25:51.450 --> 00:25:53.050
Thomas uh Jonathan Hill.
00:25:53.930 --> 00:25:55.130
Yeah, Jonathan Hill.
00:25:55.450 --> 00:25:56.170
Our good friend.
00:25:56.650 --> 00:26:02.730
I told you, uh I uh I I'm old and I have a little problem with CRS here.
00:26:03.050 --> 00:26:04.410
But yeah, Jonathan Hill.
00:26:04.890 --> 00:26:07.850
He'll be on my show probably in February.
00:26:08.010 --> 00:26:12.250
And again, we're gonna talk about this this legislation to see what the status of it is.
00:26:12.490 --> 00:26:16.170
Because I don't trust our legislatures in South Carolina.
00:26:16.330 --> 00:26:18.090
Do they represent we the people?
00:26:18.410 --> 00:26:18.730
No.
00:26:18.970 --> 00:26:22.810
They represent special interest groups and their own cronies.
00:26:22.970 --> 00:26:25.690
So we're definitely gonna keep some pressure on them.
00:26:26.890 --> 00:26:30.970
Steve, do you keep track of the Freedom Index voting scorecards?
00:26:31.450 --> 00:26:32.330
We certainly do.
00:26:32.570 --> 00:26:38.730
And you live in Ory County, so you know what the Freedom Index score is for all of your elected representatives.
00:26:38.890 --> 00:26:40.570
You want to tell us about that?
00:26:41.610 --> 00:26:55.370
Well, it's a way to track whether your legislators are passing laws that increase the size of your government, increase the spending, um, increase regulation, uh, cost you more money.
00:26:55.530 --> 00:27:00.250
They can actually put a dollar amount for each voter for some of the bills that they're passing.
00:27:00.410 --> 00:27:06.170
So a uh score of 100 on the Freedom Index means that you represent the people.
00:27:06.250 --> 00:27:11.290
You're keeping the costs low, you're reducing government regulation and government size.
00:27:11.450 --> 00:27:16.570
Uh Rob Harris is a great example of a representative that truly represents the people.
00:27:16.970 --> 00:27:18.890
And what what county is he from?
00:27:19.450 --> 00:27:21.930
He's in he's in Greenville, maybe Spartanburg.
00:27:22.090 --> 00:27:23.130
He's up in the upstate.
00:27:23.370 --> 00:27:23.610
Okay.
00:27:23.930 --> 00:27:24.650
To the right.
00:27:25.210 --> 00:27:34.010
But then again, in Oray County, every one of our elected representatives in in Columbia, South Carolina, has been graded F.
00:27:35.450 --> 00:27:38.410
They're in the uh the Freedom Index.
00:27:38.970 --> 00:27:39.530
Everyone.
00:27:39.690 --> 00:27:40.090
Yep.
00:27:40.330 --> 00:27:40.970
So they've got a.
00:27:41.370 --> 00:27:45.690
My guy is Case Britton, and his his score is uh 25, you know?
00:27:46.170 --> 00:27:46.410
Yeah.
00:27:46.570 --> 00:27:51.930
Do you remember who you voted for uh when Case was running for his uh his position?
00:27:53.370 --> 00:27:56.650
Well, he was the only Republican on the ticket, so it would have been him.
00:27:56.970 --> 00:27:57.450
Uh-huh.
00:27:57.770 --> 00:27:59.770
I I was the uh libertarian.
00:28:00.890 --> 00:28:01.530
Is that right?
00:28:02.010 --> 00:28:02.650
That's correct.
00:28:02.810 --> 00:28:03.450
Yeah.
00:28:04.970 --> 00:28:31.690
00:28:32.090 --> 00:28:47.050
Hey Larry, I uh one of the things I saw that was kind of missing in this this uh free and safe elections is uh I would like to see us get rid of straight party ticket voting.
00:28:47.290 --> 00:28:49.370
Uh what are your thoughts on that?
00:28:50.570 --> 00:28:51.210
I agree.
00:28:51.290 --> 00:28:52.810
Let's close the primaries.
00:28:52.890 --> 00:28:58.490
Uh you know, cross-party voting it shouldn't be allowed, and it doesn't even make sense.
00:28:58.730 --> 00:28:58.890
Yeah.
00:28:59.690 --> 00:29:16.730
Because uh a lot of that was I I had voters uh in that uh Britain election that wanted to vote for me, forgot, hit the red button, and then were told by the the poll workers that they couldn't reverse it, which is not uh true, but yeah.
00:29:17.210 --> 00:29:18.650
It's not, you're right.
00:29:19.850 --> 00:29:33.530
So d South Carolina definitely needs closed primaries, and it's been defeated every time it's been presented, and especially by the Republican Party, which makes you wonder why they would be against closed primaries?
00:29:34.650 --> 00:29:35.530
We I think we're not gonna be able to do that.
00:29:38.410 --> 00:29:39.130
Definitely.
00:29:40.090 --> 00:29:40.650
Well, Mr.
00:29:40.730 --> 00:29:43.850
Himes, thanks for being a guest on Conversations with the Hoff.
00:29:44.250 --> 00:29:54.490
The work being done by Larry Himes, Laura Shahr, and her crew at South Carolina Safe Elections is crucial to the survival of our Constitution Republic.
00:29:54.890 --> 00:29:56.330
Yes, I said that.
00:29:56.970 --> 00:30:08.010
When corruption or inaccuracies become systemic in the election process, citizens lose faith that elections don't really reflect their choices.
00:30:08.810 --> 00:30:13.930
Uh voter turnout drops sharply because people see voting as countless.
00:30:14.170 --> 00:30:16.970
I've heard all kinds of people say, why should I vote?
00:30:17.130 --> 00:30:18.650
It doesn't it it doesn't help.
00:30:19.210 --> 00:30:28.570
And uh if you look at the number of independents today, they far outnumber the number of registered Democrats and Republicans.
00:30:29.290 --> 00:30:34.010
Public trust and government collapses, creating a vacuum of authority.
00:30:34.730 --> 00:30:43.210
And this is a fundamental failure, and our republic cannot function if people believe that the election process is rigged.
00:30:44.250 --> 00:30:46.890
It's time for the state legislature and the U.S.
00:30:47.050 --> 00:30:53.450
Congress to take the necessary actions to restore citizens' faith in the electoral process.
00:30:53.930 --> 00:31:02.730
So thanks for listening today, and now a word from our glorious leader, the executive producer of Liberty Crack Media, Trip Detmering.
00:31:02.970 --> 00:31:06.650
I want to thank uh Larry Hines for being on with us today.
00:31:06.890 --> 00:31:14.490
Check out our show notes to connect to South uh SC Safeelections.org and check them out.
