ABOUT THIS EPISODE
A special third co-host, subway baby deliveries, personalized Galentines gifts and lots of laughter are in today’s episode!
M&N recap the Galentines candy and “man-u” card that Marie made for her– a menu for Nadya to fill out her custom recipe for the future man she will manifest. They also comment on the recent news of a woman giving birth on the subway. You know, just a regular day in New York.
Then, Normal or Neurotic Nadya’s story this week is all about controversial t-shirts and confrontations with neighbours again!
Then, they introduce “chef” into this week’s episode as a third co-host and an extra point of view on how diversity and interracial relationships can greatly shape someone’s life. Some of the things they discuss include encountering cultural differences, how to navigate them, how to learn about your significant other’s culture, living in a foreign country while being in a romantic relationship, the stereotypes and gender biases women/men of different races face, observing previous generations’ interracial relationship journeys and some interesting history on how interracial relationships came to be legalized in the US. They also talk about advantages of being in a mixed relationship such as having a broader view of the world, continuing and spreading cultures, traditions, practices, values etc and experiencing a very special joy in knowing you are a part of a wave of the future.
The episode ends with a special Marie’s Munchies by Marie and Chef on La Tete d’Or by Daniel Boloud. Sexy, sophisticated and worth the visit even just for their French Onion Soup with a special cheese twist pastry on the side. Stick around for their rave review on this newest spot in the Gramercy/Flatiron district.
